Selecting the Shaman as her class allows her to stand back and take stock of the battlefield as a whole rather then mixing it up on the front lines. Primarily attacking with a ritual rifle she keeps an eye on all her allies casting barriers as needed on them. Out of combat she maintains her observer status watching others around her. recording their actions in a books and leaving daily warnings to others adventures in mythic script about dangers or merchants who swindle on buildings or stalls. Doing what ever is needed to improve the day to day life of others. When it comes to actually interacting with people she is rather direct even if it creates awkward situations. Disliking dishonesty she will favor silence over lies leaving others to draw their own conclusion if she cant speak plain about a subject. Otherwise she is simply a sweets lover often seen with one treat or another in her mouth. |

A Fateful Day
36 years have passed since the day Mia Hanoka had entered the world as a baby who stared wide eyes and bewildered at her mother. Some would say it was a blessing, but her mother most assuredly viewed it as a curse. A child had ended the mothers acting career and any hope she had of becoming seen around the world on the silver screen. The child a bastard whose father abandoned her mother his lover to pursue his own ambitions as an actor. With out work the mother was sent back to Japan as her work visa being american born the child was taken and placed in to foster care. There little Mia would go unadopted for so long as she was passed around the foster system.
Childhood
Mia Hanoka lived out her life in the foster system passing from one family to another even before she could even could talk properly. When she grew old enough to understand that the stream of people caring for her were nothing more then strangers. Knowing that she would only be passed back to the state after a short stay with any one family Mia became introverted making little effort to connect with the families she was placed with till the age of 8. When she had turned 8 she found something she enjoyed numbers more importantly math. Other subjects had been a bother for her never truly connecting with them, but math was hers. The numbers never lied and as long as she did her part they would always lead to a true answer. By the time she was 12 she had become quite adept at math for her age solving problems at a collage level. The only reason she was unable to advance in grade in her schools was that she never spent more then a few months in them and she her other grades showed she was not worth the advancement.
When ever Mia was at the adoption agency she was subject to the bulling of other kids who hated her for her intelligence. However she would not have being bullied and rather then going to the adults Mia would devise elaborate traps that would ultimately get the other girls in trouble. Her mind for numbers help greatly as time space and dimensions all played a part in her clever designs ultimately resulting in them being dirty before various attempted adoption events held by the agency. When she finally turned 16 chances of her being adopted grew slimmer as most perspective parents wanted younger children not damaged goods. So she settled for her fate till one day a rather shady looking man noticed her doing advanced mathematics in the courtyard during one of the events and adopted her. She must have been born under an unlucky star for her new father was a hot shot dirty lawyer who sought had been looking into ways to manipulate the books of his law firm and hide the dirty money it took in.
Adopted Father
Shortly after Mia Hanoka's new father Allen Leverwits adopted her, he pulled some strings to get her a job as an intern at his law firm working with numbers. Namely he got her an accounting internship after having her demonstrate his new daughters ability to crunch the numbers. He treated her like a princess so long as she worked on the books making every thing appear as if it was lining up as the accountant in charge of her training directed. It was all numbers games to her as she was completely unaware of how illegal what she was doing was.
Outside of the office her new father bought her many nice things however she never really enjoyed them knowing that all the stuff would simply stay with him when he eventually sent her back to the orphanage. However that day never came and she started to settle in to the normal patterns. She eventually stumbled into the world of MMORPG's. Particularly a new game called Elder Tale where she had taken up the Medium class and focused on learning how to balance supporting other players and running the numbers of the player across the entire field of battle. When she played the game she was no longer Mia the introvert math genius, but Lamp brutally direct strategist. Though she was not as good as some of the others making a name for themselves.
By the time Mia Hanoka was 18 years old she had mastered the accounts of her adoptive fathers law firm both legal and illegal as well as her character in Elder Tale. However instead of freedom from her adoptive father she found imprisonment for she knew far to much to let her walk out of his life. So she became a prisoner of her fathers firm as he kept a close eye on her at home as well as in the office. Till accommodating her became to much of a problem and other arrangements had to be made.
Adulthood
As Mia blossomed into an adult she had spent most the next 17 years under the watchful eyes of her fathers goons or the goons her father protects from jail by any means necessary. Now a full fledged accountant for the firm the old one made a mysterious disappearance after finding out he had been siphoning off from the black account. Mia knew that if she ever slouched or cheated the books like her predecessor had been doing she would meet much the same fate if they found out. Much to her surprise though she was not given any extra freedoms in fact she was watched more closely then ever before a female guard being assigned to watch her in the rest room.
Mia Hanoka was an accountant at a major law firm keeping double books one dealing with honest business and the other dealing with the darker side of the firms practices. Due to the nature of her privileged knowledge of the firms practices she was forced to remain at the office day and night and given quarters to live in. If she ever went out it was always under guard by very shady type both the ones that the firm assigned to her and the ones that the firms shadowy backers had follow her from the shadows. Afforded no freedoms or any other permissions she only found connections with people in the outside world though online games. One such game was Elfen Tale which had just released the Homesteading the Novasphere expansion came out shortly after which the rumors of disappearing players all over Japan had happened. This did not deter her playing Elder Tale in her off time that is till the new expansion came out the Renaissance in the Unfounded Kingdom. The new expansion came with a new server and she was among the first to create a new character on it a modest Shaman the closest class to her Novasphere counterpart the Medium a class that would allow her to over look the battlefield and choose her targets carefully. Things went well for the most part starting over at level 1 had been annoying and often then not she complained about the inability to port an old character, but in 3 short months she had managed to get some of her skill back.
Then February 14th, 2019 rolled around Mia had woken up in a field of green and the sun on her face and a body clearly not her own. Once she had gotten up and looked around she saw that she was indeed in not in her room in the law firm. Nor was she dressed in her night things. Though she did recognized the clothing of a level 1 Shaman and her starting weapon a bow and arrow. Grinning for the first time in a long time as she realized she was finally free of the firm and could go as she pleased for they would assumed she had simply "Disappeared." For she was not in the world of Elder Tale and though she maybe starting anew at level one she was now free to go where she pleased with no body guards or shadowy criminal organizations to tell her what to do and where to go.

Main Class: Shaman
[attr="class","skillbox1"]
Heavenly Defense - Tier Beginner
The presence of a Shaman in the party connects the members with the spirits. Their ability to block (if they have a shield equipped) is increased by 3%. Their ability to parry (if they do not have a shield equipped) is increased by 3%. It is only possible to have one of these benefits based on equipment.
Summon Shikigami - Tier Beginner
The Shaman calls forth a shikigami, a humanoid familiar spirit, in a solid form. The appearance of a Shikigami varies from Shaman to Shaman, but typically they resemble humans with pronounced animal-like features similar to Fox Tails that normally wear Eastern traditional clothing. They are normally said to have a personality and body representative of the Shaman's inner self. This means that while some Shikigami will resemble their masters, others may look vastly different and may even be of the opposite gender. For Shamans who employ more than one Shikigami, each particular Shikigami will still look distinct but will seem to be like siblings. As a Shikigami is representative of the true self, it can speak and understand the languages that the Shaman may speak.
Shikigami are usually used in a support role, with tasks ranging from off-tanking to scouts to support DPS. There is a wide range of shikigami that a Shaman can summon, and they last for 5 minutes. In the original game, shikigami were treated as bonus content for players, with little to no practical use. However, after the Catastrophe, shikigami now share the same sensations with their masters, allowing shikigami to serve reconnaissance roles in battle. Of course, there are shikigami that are well-loved by many as mascots. This skill has a casting time of 5 seconds. Only one Shikigami may be summoned at a time.
Mythic Script - Tier beginner
A toggle skill that uses a negligible amount of mana when it is activated. A skill that allows characters to write messages using pure mana. This message normally lasts for roughly a day if written on a surface or a minute if written in the air, before dissipating into the atmosphere. However, if the message is not exposed to the elements, such as within the bindings of a book, it is possible to preserve a message for months or even years. Taking this skill allows one to see these messages as well, for they are normally invisible to the untrained eye. It has been hypothesized that Ancient Age grimoires are composed from prayers and incantations written in mana onto paper that has been specifically designed to preserve its presence. Keep in mind that although this skill allows one to read writings in mana, it does not help with comprehension.
Damage Interception - Tier I
A barrier skill known as the signature move of the Shaman. Forms either a stationary barrier or a barrier around a target that continues to exist until the "energy" of the barrier expires. Energy will decrease slowly over time and decrease from damage taken. This skill has a casting time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 5 seconds.
Demon's Eye - Tier I
This skill when activated will slightly increases accuracy rate of the user's weapons. It also causes the weapon to be immune to hit spirit-type mobs whom normally nullify incoming physical damage. Of course, a successful hit requires an active attack towards a desired foe regardless. There was one time when the developers received e-mails saying that "I've used the Demon's Eye and I still keep on missing on ghost mobs!" among others. For this reason, several balance changes were implemented. When used, this skill adds a blue radiance on one's eyes, a rather scary sight post-Catastrophe. This skill has a casting time of 4 seconds, a duration of 60 seconds, and a cooldown of 70 seconds.
Reactive Barrier - Tier I
The shaman creates a reflective stationary barrier. Melee attacks that pass through the barrier during contact have their momentum reduced and offensive magic is partially returned to the enemy's direction. Essentially, this skill works as a filter. The target behind the barrier will still take most of the damage received, so it's not an absolute barrier. Ranged attacks and non-offensive magic will still affect the target normally, however. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds, a duration of 10 seconds, and a cooldown of 20 seconds.

Scribes are known for their ability to copy and examine documents carefully. This allows them to obtain the Adventurer skill [Mythic Script] as a Beginner-level skill without it taking up a skill slot. Their knowledge also allows them to use and read grimoires in the Ancient Text, allowing them to use grimoires without penalties and perform some basic magic attacks depending on their Magic stat. If the character can already use grimoires through racial or class bonuses, grimoire damage increases by 10%.
