(social) Examining the situation [open]

Truly, this is almost unbelievable. Altair thought as he glanced around leaning on his staff slightly, Transported into a game from which I could not escape. Never something I would have expected. I doubt it's a dream, if it were, I'd have more control. And my dreams were never like this anyway. Ah, well, what a shame I hadn't already been here for sometime. Perhaps if I had already been good at the game, I might have some advantages. Then again, maybe the switch between a screen to real movements would have destroyed any actual skill, or a majority of it. 
He started walking through the streets, eyeing everyone and everything like he were planning something dark in his mind. He knew very well that the actual event had not hit him yet, or rather it's emotional effects. He intentionally delayed them. Eventually, he knew, he might get the chance to allow it to effect him. Once he allowed that he would be more efficient in this world, more capable. 

He looked at one of the People of the Land, "So detailed, so complex. If it isn't real, this is by far the most impressive game I've ever heard of." He looked away and continued walking as the person noticed his glancing eyes. "So, what now? I find a place to sleep, start my first quest somewhere, the food I can bring around is just terrible but that is something I can deal with."



(ooc: I hope I did this properly. I want to get the feel of everything and start character development before I do quests, also I still need to get a better understanding of how the quests even work, I still haven't figured that out.)

a half alve walks over to you waving "hay your new yes?" he seemed a little dirty "just spawned in?" his plate armour is more gray then silver, its worn and scratched hed seem chipper.

Altair turned to look quickly, he had gotten absorbed into his thoughts and had forgotten to pay attention. It took him a second to determine what was said to him, "Yes, unfortunately." He quickly tried to assess the person, but all he could get was he had been here for at least a little while, Altair had always been better at assessing things better then people by their appearence.
"I am Altair."

"Sean....but every one calls me brandis" puts hand out for a shake "welcome to hell" hed chuckle sadly

"I would say it's a pleasure to meet you, however the fact that we're both stuck here drains away at that a bit. So I suppose it's good to meet you." Altair said eyeing the man somewhat as he shook his hand firmly, "A peculiar situation we're in isn't it?"

"yes sadly." hed frown " I mean this is every gamer's dream but now as I look at it more of a night mare." he'd sit down "but at least you don't die here.... at least from what i hear." after sitting for a moment he'd get up "I've been here for 4 days now and to be honest i don't want to do any thing to get my self-hurt. i hear pain here is different in a way like its reduced. but still i dont want to take the chance yet" he'd motion you to follow as hed started walking "if you want ive got a little place going under the bridge, not doing quest and all ive been foced to make a little shack and kinda... "HOBO-IT-UP!" if ya get my drift" hed simply chuckle

Begins to follow, thinking over what he'd said thus far.
'Reduced pain, useful. I guess the death part makes sense as well. I'm not in any hurry to try out either but I guess testing the first one might not be a bad idea.' He thought.
He cocked his head smiling as he tried to figure out what "hobo-it-up" meant,
"I'm going to be totally honest with you, I have no idea what hobo-it-up means. Does it mean making it like a home or something along those lines?" He asked honestly.

he'd smile "i made a shack out of some crates and canvas i found. in hindsight its not the well sturdyest but it should hold for now" he'd seems genuine and kind "if you want we could go try and level... I'm not to keen on doing it by my self"

"Might not be a bad idea, so yes, thanks. Truthfully, I have little idea of what I'm doing." Altair responded shaking his head, "Unfortunately they didn't give instructions for if you get stuck inside the game."

we arrive at a bridge by the edge of town. "here we are!" I walk over to a small embankment on the left of the brige and hop the small fence that blocks people from going down the small slope. underneath is a small wooden fort compleat with a flag with a sparrow drawn on it. (the sparrow is drawn vary well XD) "WELCOME TO FOR BRANDIS!" hed walk in

An artist maybe? Altair wondered looking at the sparrow, he followed in, "Mhmm, thank you." It is rather 'shabby' one might say. Of course he did say it would be I think. Better then nothing of course, which is just about what I've got.

fixes up some papers on a bull crap desk made of 2 barrels and some Bord across "be careful this place is not nailed together much. I'm gonna chill here till tonight then i might go out hunting in the morning you want to come?"

Carefully keeps his hands attached to his staff to avoid unwittingly touching anything, "Yes actually. Especially as I don't exactly have a whole lot in the way of defense right now, even if I had completely figured out how to control everything. I get the idea, just not used to it yet. Besides, sorcerers are better at supporting roles."


I wonder who this person was in the other life. If they were actually this...nice? Extroverted at least, maybe. But that happens to a lot of people when they play mmo's, they become more extroverted. He may have just taken on that persona. He thought

a little later about sundown brandis would start a small fire "welp" he'd say looking up at the bottom of the bridge."Another hour and we will head out?"

Altair nodded looking around and thinking, "Guess since there are only two of us, and it's only hunting, we won't be using much of a strategy. You go first with me offering support, I'll get to use the Thunderbolt Crash for your weapon I think. And additional support with Psychic Conductor. Sound good?"

"yup, I have mostly offence attacks so we should be good on DPS just keep near me and we should be good." he would turn to his bag "i went dumpster diving and found some bread I know its not the cleanest but it should be fine" he'd pull out cheese and a small thing of bread. the cheese was warped in paper and smelled a bit off but the bread looked fine. "we should eat before we go out." head nibble on the bread after cutting you a few slices its hard like a budget but round. and his face would look grossed out.

Altair didn't like the idea of eating it but he knew all too well food was a necessity...even if he sometimes forgot that fact. "Yes I suppose so." He responded regretfully, "Can't say I like that however." He carefully took a bite and began to eat what he had quickly, not do to hunger, but to get it over with. "Would you have chosen this to occur if you had the choice?" Altair asked wondering. He knew that for himself the answer was uncertain. He had gone through the concept a few times with varying results. But he wanted to see if there were in fact people who would have chosen it if given the choice.

"to be stuck here no.... but it would be pretty cool as like a Vr thing... to be real im scared shitless of going out there. ive been working in a bar all my life not in the army ya know." he'd nibble the bread "but to be honest i don't trust a ton of people here, i mean your cool but ive overheard some stuff im not to sure about. mostly about player killers that dos not sound fun." he would finish the bread and move on to the cheese. "irl im a bartender... what were you."

He considered what was told, made sense. Then player killers came up, those people always were somewhat annoying in game unless they had a cause, in his mind that is. But here it was different, he would always go after people like that in a game if he could, annoy the heck out of them. That wouldn't work here.
"Just a rather smart kid really. I didn't have a job yet, still in college. Can't say I miss too much, except the science. We'll see if anything else progresses from that."
Bartender huh, it is possible he could recreate that scenario here. Maybe.
"Since it seems already you don't like Player Killers, do you intend on making a more professional method of living here instead of living here like you would if you were just playing the game? I am undecided on that factor, they both have advantages and disadvantages."
