He comes up to about 5'8, though his almost girlish build often makes him look a bit shorter. When you think about it, most RPGs don't match your body's shape with your stats, do they? His skin is pale, tight and goes almost perfectly with the big violet eyes. To increase apparent masculinity, Sp00ky often brushes his hair to the side to make it appear shorter, or squints slightly to make his eyes seem smaller than they actually are. | [attr="class","tempo"] [attr="class","appbox1"] Upbeat but quick to tire emotionally, Jalyne is a superficial and witty, often sarcastic youth using MMORPG games to stave off long-past anxiety issues. His politics are almost entirely fixed to his emotions, and under most circumstances, those emotions will drive his actions. As far as his moral compass goes, Sp00ky cannot stand the shameless flaunting of large gaps in power or the abuse and mistreatment of people who cannot do anything about it, and this is only intensified when he cannot do anything about it either. This frequently causes problems when stopping to think about a situation more than one or two steps ahead is crucial. Jalyne’s character name, Sp00ky, ties into a deep-seated interest in the application of terror tactics, though he rarely displays this around others, fearing it will topple all of the work he puts into making himself a likeable human being IRL and in-game. Sp00ky as a character is a protective, tender older-brother trope who, though unfitting at times, shares his player’s infatuation with… older sisters. As Jalyne has a difficult time IRL acting as doting as Sp00ky should be, the melding of video game and reality is forcing him to perform quite the mental gymnastics, which in turn causes the easy emotional exhaustion to apply within the Elder Tale world as well. In tandem with the earlier-mentioned appreciation for scaring opposing parties, Sp00ky often winds up acting more belligerent and overconfident in battle than he actually is, and it is not unheard of for him to fall into hot water over it. Jalyne is very invested in roleplaying, but strictly differentiates roleplay interactions from actual, important ones out-of-character. He has a difficult time picking up when someone is being serious or speaking out of character, and frequently misunderstands simple statements from people, much to his chagrin among peers. Despite the role playing purpose of Sp00ky, Jalyne never gave the character a backstory, though now it seems his own would have to be shoehorned in anyways. Jalyne is a young adult, never employed, straight from high school to university, and a law and forensics student with a growing taste for video games. Of course, his university life only lasted about a month before he got dragged into a video game.
Among his first few games to escape reality was Elder Tale, which sucked him in immediately. Had it only sucked him in and logged him into his main, rather than a Lv. 1 alt he never touched of a class that he wasn’t even used to, he would perhaps be a little less jumpy. The youth's history with video games is largely button-masher fighting games, Elder Tale having been his first step into MMORPGs outside of a few scrapes with World of Woahcraft back during middle school that never really lit up.

Fold Step - Tier I - Using this skill, the user's body suddenly is propelled and accelerates in a desired direction. It is often used as a surprise burst of momentum when delivering an attack or used as a last-ditch dodging maneuver. The only downside to this technique is that once activated, the swashbuckler cannot stop or adjust their trajectory. It should be noted that if this skill is used for an attack, the momentum from initiating the attack will not increase damage in any way. It merely allows the Swashbuckler to quickly close in on the opponent for a possible surprise attack. This skill has an animation time of 1 second and a cooldown time of 6 seconds.
Viper Raise - Tier I - An attack that targets the arm tendons. A successful hit will result in a Bleeding status ailment, which deals damage to the target every time they use a skill or attack. This is accommodated by the wound area seeping out a constant trail of blood. Despite the move's somewhat gory animation, this bleeding effect is fairly minor and scales in a manner similarly to a poison effect. Also, for the next 10 seconds, the target's attack speed will be decreased by 10% due to the pain associated with moving the arms. This skill has a 2 second animation time and a 9 second cooldown.
Mirage Dealer - Tier I - Dual wield skill. The Swashbuckler performs a forward X-slash with their two weapons to slash at an opponent, then immediately teleports a meter forward. This usually places them behind the enemy, allowing them to either bypass their line or enable them to continue attacking before the enemy realizes what just happened. Because of the flashiness of this skill, it's a popular technique among aspiring warriors. Try not to use it while the opponent's at the edge of a cliff or right against a wall, though. You'll either plummet to your death or crash face-first into a wall. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 8 seconds.
