PROGRESS: Creating Sand
| The Pancras Station market was as bustling as ever, with people all about, peddling and buying wares. Granted most of these wares were lackluster in their significance, it still took away from the idea that London was a stagnating town. That's what Blue wanted hoped it would be anyway. Today, the artisan had a plan, and she needed help to pull it off. The help of other Artisans to be exact. This new project of Blue's was in trial form, seeing as she was basing it off of old snippets of information she acquired in her college days. Glass making was a simple if... risky art. On one hand, you had the chance of making a beautiful glass shape that caught the eyes of all around it. On the other, you stood the chance of burning yourself to all hell. Not as big of an issue in a world where death was trivialized, but still... burning's not pleasant.
Blue sat at a stall well out in the open for all to see. To her front, sitting on the desk was an arrangement of different colored stones, and behind her was a kiln lit and ready to devour anything in its flaming maw. The pinkette had a casual smile on her face, nodding to passerby's who wondered what it was she was selling. The truth was she didn't plan to sell anything today. No, this wasn't a marketing scheme, it was a demonstration. Soon, after there were plenty of people in sight, Blue took out a well concealed hammer from under the stall. She took one of the stones, a lump of quartz to be exact, and set it on a stone block next to the stall. The next step was pretty obvious. Blue lifted the hammer and just as quickly smashed it onto the stone. With a loud crack, everyone's eyes fell onto the bard and watched as she crushed the quartz into sand.
This was the first step in Blue's little demonstration as she crushed different stone into sand. Silica, Lime, lead oxide, sulfur. The materials necessary to create nice and durable glass. Blue didn't plan on making any flashy and colorful glass just yet though. That'd be for later when she could afford the materials. For now, she just wanted people to see glass making and try it for themselves. So with that, Blue hammered away, crushing the stone into a fine dust and pouring each dust into individual crucibles. She set them all down and waited silently, gesturing for fellow Artisans to come and try their hand at it. |

“Fyuuh~ Busy day is busy~”
Liam said carefreely as he was enjoying the walk that he had taken at the moment in the St. Pancras Station. Since the Catastrophe, this station had lost one function; the function that people usually used to go to somewhere far in a quick way without trapped in a traffic light: Travelling by Train. Now, in this new world, Elder Tale, people couldn’t enjoy travelling by Train again because of the extreme corrosion on the railways and lack of the Train itself. But, unfortunately, that’s not the only issues, not just Train, but also Vehicles. Yes, there’s no longer vehicles that people could use to travel around in this world. Well…. Mounts and Vehicles were two different things, right?
Anyway, This place ---St. Pancras Station--- Had changed from travelling purposes into marketing purposes more.
All you could see if you turned your head around in this Station were just simply adventurers that were trading around, negotiating, chatting, etc. This place was full of marketing stuff. So, what Ace was doing in this place? Searching for equipment? No; Want to sell something perhaps? Still no; Maybe Ace just wanted to find a blacksmith or tailor so that he could negotiate with them and get some cheap equipments? Negative; oh! Maybe Ace was hungry and now he was searching for some delicious food to eat? Like some warm burgers~ potatoes~ hmm, sandwiches? Well… Probably true, but.. Still no.
Whistling around with both of his hands on the back of his head, Ace was walking and walking, enjoying the day in St. Pancras Station—as known as—he was just bored. Yep, the boredom had taken Ace’s soul once again, he was too bored and.. kinda lazy.. On going to the outside to level up, because you know… Charging forward, punching monsters, watching the monsters exploded into bubbles again and again without any goals were just… boring for this young man. Especially he did those things alone, that made it mooooore boring.
So yea, that’s why he was here right now, on the St. Pancras Station.
After walking for a while, Ace then suddenly found something interesting. People were crowding in one place; curious about it, Ace then slowly tried to take a peek, but hence, he failed, it was too far to see what was going on over there, so stepping forward, he tried it again, but once again, he failed. “Sheesh.. Excuse me, Excuse me.” Ace said as he tried to go through the crowd.
As he was getting close, Ace then could hear a loud crack. Well, that loud crack had succeeded at making this young man got more curious, so after Ace managed to get through the crowd, he then found a pink haired woman was sitting over there with a hammer in her hand and stone in front of her. Once again, a loud crack was made by the woman when the woman sent her hammer down to the stone, changing the stone into sand. “W-whoah, That's new..” Ace said in awe before suddenly someone was pushing him forward.
“O-oi, Careful there, sir!” Ace shouted back, but then found himself standing near the pink haired woman. Noticing that, the young man jumped a bit in surprised. Gulped. “Er.. uh… Hi.” Wait what? “E-eh? I mean--- how do you do that, ma’am? Is there some kind of command list on the menu screen?” Said Ace as his eyes were looking on the dust that the pink haired woman had made.

[attr="class","adler_post a"] [attr="class","aptype"]Adl&r, the Guardian [attr="class","stats right"] Thread Type Research/SocialTagged BlueWrote 625 wordsAdler wasn’t even aware of the time anymore. All that mattered was that she stayed up late doing stuff and woke up in the mood to be anything but productive, so she got dressed and headed out to wander the streets of New London. She wouldn’t have bothered if she were back in the real world, but over there, she had amenities that would have made staying in bed the epitome of bliss. In the world of Elder Tale, all she had was a small room with little air and a tough bed. Maybe she’d be productive after all, just to make not being so more comfortable. That was what Adler thought to herself when she eventually walked into St. Pancras Station. “There goes the baker with his tray like always~” She hummed to herself, looking around for a mattress or a hammock, and maybe a new pillow and some sheets while she was at it. With craftsmen doing constant research into things that would make life easier in 14th century London, she imagined Theldesia would eventually take on a more futuristic steam punk vibe. Until then however, she decided she could live with wasting some money on a mana flashlight. Nope, no she really couldn’t. “Sorry.” She said to a vendor who was selling exactly that. “I already have one.” As she walked away, her ears burned as she heard the people talking amongst themselves and roar with laughter afterward. “Humph. Cheapskate. If that were true, she wouldn’t have put her clothes on backwards.” Adler hurried into a private-looking space between stalls to get changed before she carried on with her window shopping. While she walked a bit quicker than normal to get away from the laughing that still rang in her ears, Adler stumbled upon a small stall, behind which sat a pink haired girl and a kiln, though what a kiln was doing out in the open, she didn’t know. There weren’t too many people around when she found her, so Adler managed to find a good spot from which to watch the demonstration that followed. With her build, Adler had little trouble with people jostling for a better view; since she wasn’t wearing her armor today, her toned arms were quite visible to her neighbors. ‘Glass.’ She realized, putting two and two together. The kiln was for melting the crushed rock, but Adler knew nothing about the process. When Blue the Human Bard gestured for volunteers to try it out, Adler didn’t move forward. She felt silly doing so in front of people who were actually paying attention. Just then, a dark haired woman was pushed right to the front of the crowd. She realized she was wrong; judging from the voice that came out of his mouth, it was a man. She supposed his slim build and his long hair threw her off. “Er.. uh… Hi. E-eh? I mean--- how do you do that, ma’am? Is there some kind of command list on the menu screen?” Adler frowned. Blue just pulverized the rocks. How hard could it be? “Excuse me, I got here first.” She murmured, her sharp words at contrast with her meek tone. Let them think what they will. Bobbing her head at Ace the Human Monk, Adler excused herself while she reached for the hammer with her left hand and gripped the tool just hard enough to make sure it wouldn’t slip out of her grasp then, with the other hand steadying the table, swung the implement down with moderate force. The stone broke apart easily, though it took several more careful strikes to grind it into fine sand. “Is this enough?” She asked, trying to compare the ones Blue did herself and bottled to her own. [attr="class","stats"] Notes Didn't know how else to get in on the action. Sorry if it was a bit rude, Ace. ^^;
