Shard forced himself to walk normally towards The Stout Iron shop, clutching a scrap of paper that he torn down from the Quest Board. Stopping in front of the store, Shard takes in a deep breath and takes the knob with one hand and the other raised against the door. In a single motion, Shard simultaneously knocks gently and opens the door. The words “Pardon me.” escaped his lips as he steps into the shop.
“Well, you’re a polite lad, aren’t you? Come in, come in and tell this old dwarf what he can do for you?”, Zuth smiles brightly and his eyes twinkle. Shard bends forward to gesture a bow and gingerly shuts the door. Shard walks toward the counter as he scans the shop, his gaze bouncing from the various armors on display. He makes his way towards the dwarf sitting behind the counter and placed his left hand on over his chest and bows with his right hand behind his back.
“Allo. My name is Scharden Freuden. I came about the job you posted on the Quest Board.” Shard gets back up from the bow, with his hand pinned to his back, he hands Zuth the scrap of paper. Zuth takes the scrap and pulls it close to his eyes to inspect it.
“Oh yes. The boar skins. It’s a simple as it comes, lad. Hahaha. I need you to gather five of them for me. I have customers that need this armor, but I just can’t meet demand! Well, I could, but I’m not as spry and youthful I once was.” Zuth bellows in laughter. “Except, I can see I can rely on you in my stead, eh? Especially with those weapons strapped to your waist, I’d say that getting those skins would be easy as pie.”
“Roight. Well, it was a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Oynxheart.” Shard turns his heels and heads out of the store.
Zuth yells after Shard and waves, “Good luck, Adventurer! Oh, and next time, call me Zuth, lad.”
Shard turns his head back at the dwarf and cracks a small, stiff smile and waves back before leaving the premises.
