Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening. I am Azoth, and this will be the last message you hear from me until something spectacular occurs.
Over the past few months, I have watched. I have watched with careful eyes to see how the site would move with the changes and I have come to a final verdict that I alone have come to the conclusion of. This is not the conclusion of anyone else and has not been influenced by anyone else. I have simply decided that I, personally, am no longer going to work towards putting the effort and time into this Roleplaying Forum. It has been fun, I had a lot of ideas and I really enjoyed the time I spent working as Administrator.
As rough, slow, and grindy as it has been, it was a good time. I’m not the best Administrator and I know there’s probably a good number of you who feel distaste towards me both because of who I am and because of how I go about things, but it’s never bothered me and it doesn’t now. What matters is that it was fun. But, it has lately turned into a job. When a hobby turns into a job or a chore, then that is when it’s time to call it quits, at least for a little while.
For me, that time came about a week or two ago when I had to create the Society NPCs. The time I put into them was the equivalent to a 40 hour work week. While it may seem like a complaint, it is not. It simply was a realization that I went to work and school, exhausted myself there, and then returned home to simply chug away like a monkey with a hammer. At first it was okay, but by the fourth NPC I knew I was in for a ride.
The Staff I am leaving behind is a good group, and should they continue what I have started then they have my blessing. They will do great things should they chose to. I will be around to give them advisement should they ask and will always be willing to lend a small hand when necessary. But, I am turning the reigns over to them. I am also extracting all of my personal work from view, but I will be creating a reference site elsewhere for the staff to use as just that; a reference.
While this may seem like I’m gutting the site, it is simply a person choice I have made as the owner of my own content and creations. The Staff are free to continue what I have started should they choose, but I simply ask that they do it in a way which is different, and a lot better, than how I tried to do things. I am not very efficient and I am not very good at explaining or setting up foundations. So it is my hope that the Staff can correct my errors and provide a much better Roleplay than I was able to, should they chose to continue.
If you wish to speak to me privately about things, or if you want to fling tomatoes, feel free to contact me on Discord using the Widget at the bottom of the site in the CBox.
The CBox has been paid for until April. However, I will not be renewing it. Feel free to use it until then. o7

Edit: The Discord will remain active up until the new Staff decide to remove it. However, I will be adjusting the rules to make it more lenient. No longer it is a Log Horizon specific chat. Feel free to come in and just have fun!
