[attr="class","tempo"] [attr="class","appbox1"] Tempest, as well as Arthur, both sport the same thin physique, graceful and swift. Everyone assumes he is in a bad mood most of the time by the perpetual scowl he wears, but in truth it only means he is either intrigued or deep in thought. He walks in a passive way and usually weaves in and around crowds to avoid notice. Height: 5'9" (175 cm) Weight: 150 lbs. (68 kg) Eye Color: Light Green Hair Color: Dark Green Attire: Light, unrestrictive, simplistic and functional leathers for easy access to items and abilities. Typically green or black in color. Arthur was fond of collared shirts, jeans, and sneakers in real life. He also wore black glasses when he couldn't use contacts. | [attr="class","tempo"] [attr="class","appbox1"] Two very notable traits about Tempest are his maturity and independence. He has been self-sufficient and unused to the aid of other people since he was a child, allowing him to adapt and even excel when he was alone. However, his imprisonment within the Server made it painfully obvious that solo tactics would not be enough to survive like in the old game, so he has gradually acclimated himself to the point where he can work with other people. He is a reliable young man who takes pains to think at least a few steps ahead and takes mostly everything too seriously. Despite this, Tempest is not a leader and typically starts off on the wrong foot with people due to his brutally blunt way of speaking. He can be curt and critical, but most of the time he only points out faults or inadequacies so those around him can improve themselves (though they frequently take it the wrong way). He is not condescending, but rather honest to the point of having no tact. He is down-to-earth and patient, but will not usually suffer himself to be around those of frivolous or pompous nature. Outwardly, Tempest is rather confident and composed, but internally he struggles with the anxiety of not knowing what this new reality holds for the populace and realizes his past experience with the game will avail him little here. However, this anxiety has actually piqued Tempest's curiosity and driven him to explore the vast new world instead of succumbing to fear. He is the type of person who is actually happier when he has something to do, especially when it concerns theorizing or experimenting with new or abstract ideas. The typically more carefree and relaxed way that Tempest used to play Elder Tale is almost non-existent. He could no longer view Elder Tale as a place to forget his responsibilities and placed his real-life personality at the forefront when the Catastrophe took place. Tempest is practical and knowledgeable about the different roles people have in combat, but typically only focuses on himself when in battle. He keeps to the sidelines and shadows; only interfering when an opportune moment presents itself for him to inflict massive DPS, then retreats to hide once more. He is not flashy or reckless and will only act on someone else's behalf when the risk to himself is minimal (or the consequence of inaction is detrimental to the party). Out of combat, Tempest is a firm believer of everyone contributing to the party as a whole and usually does what is asked of him (unless he can see no relevant benefit in doing it, at which point he will object and critique the objective). |

The only thing worse than parents who get divorced? Parents who don't. Parents who want nothing to do with each other, but have to stay together because there is no other choice. That is the sort of childhood Arthur had. He often came home from school to them both yelling at each other and neither of them even throwing a glance his way. It was why he never invited friends over. It was why he never came home before dark or came out of his room when he did. To drown out their arguments, he would play music or video games until he passed out. Eventually he learned to be self-sufficient. He took care of himself, but he didn't hate his parents. He simply didn't depend on them. In fact, he eventually began to appreciate the time he had due to not being involved with his family. It prompted him to buy the cutting edge MMO, Elder Tale, and craft another life for himself on the American Server half the world away. It was an escape where he could be in relatively peaceful harmony (when he wasn't slaying goblins). Even when he graduated from high school and moved out of his parents home, he played Elder Tale. His life was at a crossroads then, so for an entire year he worked locally, lived in a small loft in the city of Plymouth, and played his other life in Elder Tale, a game that was proving itself against time. Imagine his surprise when he eventually heard that the UK was finally going to have its own Server: the Unfounded Kingdom! He was excited, but troubled as to how it would affect his real life. He knew he would become easily enamored by what he realized was an entirely new map of Elder Tale. He made a vow: if the new server ever threatened to derail any aspect of real life, then he would immediately dismiss the game. He made the vow official by writing it down and sticking it on the wall directly above his desktop. He decided to use a portrait of his real-life self as the avatar for Unfounded Kingdom, a sign that he wouldn't hide who he really was even inside his favorite game any longer. With a deep breath and a last glance at the vow he made, Arthur initiated gameplay. That was when everything turned white for a moment and the Catastrophe pulled him in. So much for that vow...

[attr="class","equip1"]Starter Leather Armor - A basic set of soft leather armor made from cheap leather. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it.
Left Arm:
[attr="class","equip1"]Starter Throwing Needles: - Throwing needles that come in a set of about 12 a pack. They are roughly the length of an average human hand. Be careful not to use your supply, as they can be easily lost and require one to return to town and resupply.

It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can.

Hiding Entry - Tier 1 - Self Buff. One of the basic stealth magics of the Assassin. A signature move of the Assassins, known for being able to hide in plain sight, that allows them to bend light around them and become invisible to the naked eye for an extended period of time, up to ten minutes. Offensive actions, stabbing a target for instance, immediately break the magic used to hide the Assassin. The spell itself can be a bit taxing to the Assassin and can only be used sparingly. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds [1/3 Post], lightly draining the user's MP upon use. It has a cooldown of 10 seconds [1 1/2 Posts] the moment it is canceled.
Quick Draw - Tier 1 - A skill focused on delivering a quick strike at the opponent. By gripping the weapon tightly and locking one's gaze toward a nearby foe, the player's body will quickly dash over to the target and perform an attack. Alternately used by ranged users to fire projectiles at a faster than usual pace. This sudden movement takes many unprepared opponents by surprise. This skill has an animation time of 1 second [1/6 Post / Instant] and a cooldown of 15 seconds [2 1/2 Posts].
Hearing Aptitude - Tier 1 - A toggle skill that improves the character's hearing perception. Whispers can be heard from about 2 meters away, conversations can be heard up to 10 meters away, and the hearing range of the most distant sounds are doubled. It is a very effective skill for the sake of gathering intel and eavesdropping.

High Jump - Level 1 - Passive. One of the most basic tricks of the Acrobat's specialty is their ability to jump greater heights than any average person. The Acrobat's maximum jumping height is doubled. While this skill might seem otherwise mundane, it can allow one to reach places that would be difficult for many others.

Timber - Level 1 - Toggle skill. Woodcrafters naturally have an affinity for chopping and carving wood, making their abilities key in harming monsters that happen to be arboreal in nature. Woodcrafters deal 20% more damage to Plant-type monsters. They can also cancel buffs on Plant-type monsters upon a successful hit.
