[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]Ruemia [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Evangeline Avery Blackbourne [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 22 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Demisexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: konpaku youmu, TOUHOU [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Ivory [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]Evan’s physical appearance in the game is vastly different than how she looks in real life because after the numerous times her half-brother pleaded her to play Log Horizon, she actually gave in. There was no way Evan would let him know that she conceded, so she opted for white-blonde hair cropped into a short bob, and dark indigo eyes. The only attribute that her two selves share is the accessory in her hair. Evan styles her hair the same exact way she would in the real world – a thick silk ribbon around her head, fashioned into a bow pushed to the side. No matter the season, she never wears trousers, favoring a-line skirts the most. Her usual outfit in-game still consists of a full skirt, but worn with a twill vest and long-sleeved collared shirts to provide a little masculinity. On her feet, Evan wears black knee-high socks with brown loafers to be consistent with a more tailored outfit. Brought up to be prim and proper, she has excellent posture and walks eloquently, her footsteps light and rhythmic. When standing still, her hands are always held together in front of her, and never left drooping to the sides of her body. Every movement (in public) she makes was practiced to appear as if she were dancing. When Evan is alone, she still moves in the same manner out of habit, but tends to put her hands on her waist (aggressive and unlady-like body language) while she is deep in thought or contemplating something. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Evan is a slightly guarded person who never had the chance to be herself or develop her personality on her own. As a result, she is fairly quiet and serious around her parents and strangers, keeping those she is unfamiliar with at a polite distance. Around her closest friends, she is undoubtedly kind and generous, but not many see this side of her because of the façade she needs to keep for her family’s name. Evan does have a good sense of morality, but usually refrains from speaking her mind to prevent from showing anyone disrespect. She can be stubborn when it comes to certain subjects, and when pushed the wrong way, she can be quite the firestarter. With a life’s worth of thoughts and emotions concealed within her head, it’s hard to contain everything now and then. Evan displays a lot of envy towards Hiro, and though she can be unreasonably cold around him, she would never wish any harm on him as he is still ultimately his dear brother. She does feel a sense of regret over the way she's treated him his entire life, but has no idea how to change or improve her behavior with him. Positive Traits: Courageous, kind, adaptable. Negative Traits: Stubborn, distant, sensitive. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Born into a wealthy family in Bristol, England, Evan was quite the spoiled little girl. Ever since she was an infant, she was constantly pampered by her parents, and gave the young only child all the attention she could ask for. But when she turned four, her parents had adopted a Japanese boy by the name of Hirosame. That’s when her family’s dynamic changed. Suddenly, she wasn’t the center of her parent’s attention anymore. For the four-year-old girl, it was shocking to find out that the world didn’t revolve around her anymore. Who was this strange baby, and why was he more important than her? As she got older, rules were enforced onto her to bring her up as a proper young lady – social etiquette and maintaining a high status being important to the Blackbourne family. Evan quickly realized that the faster she matured, the prouder her parents were, and the more they valued her. She was still unwaveringly jealous of her younger half-brother for being able to be himself and still have her parents love him unconditionally. So she tried to be everything her parents wanted, and everything Hiro was not. Evan’s life was filled with tutoring, education, and social events. By the time she started attending high school, she had been balancing ballet, piano, and horseback lessons, on top of schoolwork. Each day was always predetermined and scheduled by hour, one thing after the other. Even the time when she just hung out with her few friends were planned days in advance. She had fallen into a rigid pattern, and could do nothing but continue to follow it. Evan had little to no freedom in her life. But her brother…her brother did. Her parents didn’t expect him to learn Beethoven’s Moonlight Sontana by heart, or be able to pivot 360 degrees flawlessly. They didn't expect him to be able to form social relations with people she didn’t even enjoy speaking to just to help the family’s reputation. Spending her entire life being molded into a person from these norms and expectations boxed her in tightly, preventing her from ever discovering the person she genuinely is. It was the reason why she finally joined Log Horizon. Her brother had unknowingly given her a true escape – a place where she could be who she wanted to be. A place to figure out who she was. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"] Height: 5’8” (5’5” in-game) Weight: 120 lbs Blood Type: AB+ - In the rare occasion she has spare time, she enjoys painting outside in the courtyard garden. - Evan takes up the Swashbuckler class because she is familiar with rapiers since her father participates in fencing competitions. |

Dual wielding has its merits in granting the swashbuckler with an opportunity to apply two different effects to the opponent upon a successful hit, while fighting with the Fencing Style sacrifices this versatility for a greater form of fighting stability. [attr="class","skill"]Mirage Dealer: Tier 1 Swashbuckler Skill Dual wield skill. The Swashbuckler performs a forward X-slash with their two weapons to slash at an opponent, then immediately teleports a meter forward. This usually places them behind the enemy, allowing them to either bypass their line or enable them to continue attacking before the enemy realizes what just happened. Because of the flashiness of this skill, it's a popular technique among aspiring warriors. Try not to use it while the opponent's at the edge of a cliff or right against a wall, though. You'll either plummet to your death or crash face-first into a wall. [attr="class","skill"]Carving: Tier 1 Artisan Skill Toggle skill. Artisans have a certain affinity with carving stone, making their normal artistic talents not to be underestimated in battle. Artisans deal 20% more damage to Rock-type monsters. They can also ignore defense buffs on Rock-type monsters. [attr="class","skill"]Silent Move: Tier 1 Tracker Skill A skill that deadens the user's movements whenever traveling, preventing them from making any sound while walking. In exchange, the Tracker's movement speed is reduced by 50%. For every 10 levels the tracker gains in their subclass level, this debuff is decreased by 10%. After Level 50, the debuff is eliminated completely. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Leather Armor: A basic set of soft leather armor made from cheap leather. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Starter Rapier: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Starter Rapier: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron. Apocrypha Blades (Level 20): A Pair of Roller Blades, crafted by Mechanic Hirosame. Guaranteed to provide comfort and satisfaction to the wearer, as they blaze down the road with style. The wheels have a Solstice Symbol on one side, and an Asterial Age symbol on the other. These roller blades performs well in the streets, but does little to nothing on dirt or rocky paths. |
