Throughout Londinium, there has been talk of treasure and islands with mysterious power, by both lander and adventurer alike. Eventually, these rumors would reach Emmerich's ears, while he was in the search for information about this world he has been thrown into. When he had heard about the treasure and the unknown power within an island, he had immediately traveled off to the Thames coastline. While he doesn't like doing things solo, he knew with all these rumors, that there are bound to be other adventurers on the beach, as excited as himself, and together, can search for both the treasure and islands for whatever this power is.
And sure enough, when he reached the coastline there were other adventurers, as well as some landers out there in the sand. The guardian looked around at the crowds over the beach. He saw some digging into the sand, while others walked into the water and submerged themselves under it. While he admired the effort of those digging, the ones going through the water don't seem to be playing in it. He narrows his blue eyes over at one group walking into the water, but they don't seem to coming up. Even when he waited for a minute or so, they have not resurfaced. He then scanned the area once more and noticed one more thing, there were no boats.
After he confirmed the total lack of boats on the coastline, he assumed that they used some hidden pathway under the sea of some sort.

-Hmm, haven't been out this far before.-
The wanderlust had guided the dwarf out to this far part of the coastline, away from the majority of the treasure hunting action. A deep sigh left the dwarf as he took in the clear salt air, it wasn't a entirely unpleasant place to be lost, as the salt air reminded him of his home up north. Of course the dwarf had chosen to turn up in less than fashionable attire, clad only in white shorts with purple stripes, forgoing mechanical bonuses of wearing cloth armour for comfort. The dwarf long tanned from the sun, his chest ripped from the immense legacy that he alone had borne alone thus far.
Having just arrived the dwarf was surprised at how many was dotted along this shore, even this far along. He blew an exasperated sigh through his lips; surely there would be nothing left here this late in the season with all the people around here. Perhaps the treasure season was almost over, with only a choice few ruins left dotted along the shoreline. His sky gaze fell upon a guardian whom seemed fixated on a location in particular, without any better leads, nor a ship of his own to lead another expedition, the dwarf decided to switch his charm on. Perhaps if nothing else he would find some friendly banter to go with the journey. With all the graze that the muscilar square of a man could offer, he stode over to the and flashed a smile.
"Howdy there buddeh, tha' sea is beautiful, but I can imagine tha' not be tha' only thing keepin' ya gaze, no?"
The dwarf allowed a moment to pass as he maintained his upward gaze, a wink crossed his features.
"Tobin be thy name laddie, a pleasure ta meet ya."

Emmerich lost his train of thought, when he was suddenly greeted by a voice. He looked around, and eventually his gaze settled on a dwarf. It took him a second for him to catch himself staring at the stout man, a couple seconds too long after he was finished speaking. No, it wasn't his height that he was gawking at, but rather his peculiar choice of swimwear. He wasn't a vain man, whom was picky with clothes, he just hadn't seen anyone wore that kind of swimwear before in this day and age. But considering where they're in, this dwarf's swimming attire might be, ahead of this game's medieval time period. But nevertheless, he appreciated his greeting, and gave one in turn.
"Hello to you too, the name's Emmerich!"
He intoduced himself, smiling calmly at the dwarf, whom called himself Tobin. He then remembered about Tobin's talk about the ocean and he momentarily looked away from him and back at the sea, where more people entered and disappeared into the sea, as the waves enveloped their bodies. He then looked back at Tobin.
"There's not boat that I can see, so I guess the others know this and decided to throw themselves at sea."
He noticed his rhyme and chuckled, and then continued speaking.
"I admire their boldness, but how long can they go on like that? Is there some sort of hidden pathway beneath the sea, or we don't need to breathe?"

The dwarf followed the guardians gaze and an eyebrow was raised. It was certainly unusual, and he could only draw a limited number of possibilities.
"Well, I've taken a boat out ta wreaks befor', nice place ta rest after a good hunt, thou' ya are also wavin' a flag. Thure two reason they could be down thure for tha' long."
After moment of silence and contiplation, he sighed and pulled out a potion and passed it to him. Tobin had considered not telling the Guardian about the potions, but sinceh e had pointed that out to him, one favour would be rewarded with another. A 200 gold favour in a bottle.
"They hav' a water breathin' potion between them tha' allow them to stay down thure, but tha's only three minutes max if Capsules pot is ta go by. So they found soamthin' with air, well." The dwarf thumped the floor twice with his bare foot as he flashed a big grin as he strode toward the water, the guardian finding a party invite in his inventory. "one way ta find out I guess. Time ta have a shifty."
With that the dwarf drew a vial of his own as he wandered up the water’s edge,, clinging it against the guardians if he chose to and took it inside with a single deep draft. The dwarf turned pal as the vial concoction swept into his stomach, his vision swam as he fought the urge to double over as he gagged, Tobin expected it to taste bad, but not sea stains bad!
“neeping, salad, dressin’, I guess reddie lives up hur name, bein’ hard to swallow.”
With that the dwarf took a deep breath and drove into the ocean, the dwarf could only pray that the water breathing potion would give him long enough as he dragged himself through the water with powerful breast strokes. A trail of random bubbles caught his eye in the sediment water as he dragged himself down, with great effort due to his not so hydrodynamic cube frame. To his surprise he was acutely aware the potion worked, his lungs felt strong, the air was not uncomfortable to hold in, though there would be time to celebrate later.
The trail took him down a crack in the earth. The dwarf silently blinked as he peered into the darkness and spied the obstruction and origin of the bubble stream, there was a large boulder unceremoniously wedged across an entry way point, as the dwarf swam down, even his broad frame could fit into the rocky parting with ease, it was apparently the rock had been sheared off the rock face, a brutal crater in the wall showing it’s origin. He sent a pm to the Guardian
-Those crazy… They sealed the entrance behind them! One minute laddie, I try and force my way in-
The dwarf had a momentary flicker of concern, only another tier 2 player like himself could have done something like that, but time was short. The dwarf wedged his hand under the rock and braced his feet against the sandy sea bed and after a moment to steel himself, he heaved with a grunt as he pulled his arms up with a sharp jerk, his entire body strained as he pushed up against the ocean. Yet despite all that he felt the currect being pulled under him that sucked on the rock, holding it firm like a suction cup.
-It hea… Get ready lad, THIS WILL OPEN.-
If the unfortunate level 1 had a chance to avoid the craziness of dwarf, that chance had slipped away. The dwarf was committed to getting in there! He dropped the boulder and raised his fist, a crimson flame as he fired up the –Echo Tiger Fist-, before he punched between the bolder and seafloor, the punch did little, but the shockwave that erupted did, parting the rock with a pop, a sudden pull of the current yanked both the dwarf, guardian, and any unsuspecting potential player character into the hole with a resounding pop. The rock crashed down back over the hole, once again sealed firmly shut.
“Heh. Now I know wha’ a spider feels like”.
The dwarf grumbled as he picked himself off his feet, the river under them quickly subsided to a trickle. They were in some sort of rocky corridor and there was faint candle light, though here was rough and narrow passageway. The dwarf gestured to the guardian.
“Right behin’ ya buddeh.”

"So, what do you think they're doing, then?" Emmerich looked back to Tobin. And when he did, he saw the man held up a potion. He took the potion from the dwarf and listened to his explanation. Water breathing potions were apparently being used by these adventures. Emmerich wanted to slap himself from forgetting such a mechanic was in this game. But he had to be a little skeptical. Even though this world seems to be based on the Elder Tale game, there were some slight differences and as well as radical differences from how things worked in the game. For example, Tobin would had either, had to drop the potion on the floor, or used the interface to trade items, but here he just handed it over.
"Than-" Before he could show some gratitude to him, Tobin had already ran off to the ocean, and there was a chime coming from his menu. He clicked the corner of his vision where it resides, and saw in his inventory was a party request. He smirks at it and clicked the "OK" button. He could now see Tobin's stats next to his own. He was a level 43 Monk. But didn't have the time to be impressed, since Tobin was already in the sea. He ran out to the beach. He took a swig of the bottle that was handed to him earlier, and immediately he wanted to vomit at the taste of it. Was this a prank of some sort? But he still down it all. He knew this man had no reason to play a trick, a trick that cruel.
With all the contents of the potion inside of him, he switched to his swim shorts in his inventory, and jumped in. When he got far enough into the water, with his body completely submerged, he saw Tobin far ahead of him. He kicked himself downward to the dwarf's location. He stopped next to Tobin. He seemed to be focused on a stream of bubbles pouring out behind a rock, a rock that was blocking a pathway. From Tobin's PM, he believes that they, the adventure from eariler, blocked it off. So how do they enter it now?
Emmerich helped Tobin with the rock, but when they both noticed it wasn't budged an inch, it was time for something else. And that 'something else' was punching the damn thing. And to his surprise, it worked. With the rock no longer blocking the rocky opening off, the current was free to suck them and anyone else close by, into it's maw. He and Tobin, found themselves in a rocky corridor, with faint candle light. "Wow, what do you think is-" Once again, Before he could finish his sentence, Tobin was pointing at something, something behind Emmerich. His eyes widen a bit, and he turned around.
On the other side of the river of water, a small group of Sea Sahaugin, were watching them from a distance. Their bulging yellow eyes followed the adventures movements. They had spears, and held them out in front, ready to attack when needed.

Today was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the water was cool and clear, and best of all there were so many other adventurers searching all over the area for treasure that she could relax without fear of attack. Back in the real world, Whiteeyes had loved swimming. When the family went to the beach or the pool, she would just gravitate to the water and stay in for hours on end just swimming freely. Something about the water always called to her, and it was almost a love story. Well, as close to one as she was capable of feeling anyway. If she could compare people saying they were in love to her own feelings about swimming, she could understand why people could be so devoted to each other and put all that effort into a relationship.
One of her biggest regrets since comming to Elder Tale was that she hadn't had an oportunity to really swim. Other than being short. With all the aquatic monsters that were around it just wasn't generally safe to do so. It was like a perpetual shark warning. But then came that wonderful news. A treasure hunt! Oh, it wasn't great for the treasure itself mind you. Whiteeyes wasn't the sort to go roughing it in the wilds for who knows how long for a reward that might not even be worth it. No, what was great was that since there are so many adventurers that would do that, the shores would basically be monster free with all the players engaged in slaying en-mass. This meant that, for the first time since being transported to this world, she could go swimming! She would keep her weapons and armor in her inventory of course, she wasn't an idiot. Of course, that was easier to convince herself of before she arrived at the beach and found that she had forgotten to our buy a bathing suite. And her dress would take forever to dry out. Thinking it over, and looking around at the picked clean area of the shore, she came to a decision. Taking off her dress and folding it up, she placed it in her inventory, leaving her in her underwear. It was silk, so it was water resistant and dried quickly. And really, what was the difference between this and a bikini? And so it came time to swim.
And that's when the first problem started. It turns out having slightly differently structured legs and feet had a big impact on trying to swim, requireing a huge shift in leg placement, arm movement, and body positioning for swimming to even begin to work. And that wasn't even factoring in the fact that her new kitty body seemed less buoyant than her old human one. Humans, after all, were designed to be semi-aquatic. House cats were most decidedly not. Add to that the fact that she had to carry her inventory bag with her and this was shaping up to be less fun than she had hoped. Still she was starting to get the hang of things through sheer determination born of her love of swimming. Truly, her love was so great that it seemed no physical obstacle could hope to stand in her way. And then a riptide hit her and sucked her down.
As a veteran swimmer, she knew the trick for a riptide was to swim with it so that you wouldn't be too tired to get back to shore once you were free fom its grip. The problem was that she was so shocked by there even being one, who'd even think to program such a thing, that she began to flail in a panic. Luckily, what should have been a killer situation (thankfully slightly less lethal in this world, if only because she'd revive) quickly resolved itself as she was spat into a cave full of air. Coughing and breathing deep as she tried to figure out where she was and how to get home, she saw "Emmerich? What are you doing out here? And who's the dwarf? Where is here anyway?" So relieved was she at running into somebody she knew in a crazy situation she didn't realize that there were several monsters approaching. Or that she was sitting there in her underwear in front of two guys.

The dwarf gave a deep sigh for two reasons as he pointed. First of all he didn't find spears being pointed at him, even from the relative safety from across the river. Spears were his least favourate thing to have pointed at him. The other? The vortex seemed to have inadvertently brought another adventurer down with him, and having a bikini clad adventuring cat girl was only likely to aid to the difficulty of defending both of them against the for mentioned threat. Well, that and the jewish part of his racial nature loathed the idea of sharing the loot with another person. It w-wasn’t as if he was greedy or anything!
He chuckled, no matter. He strolled past the pair, out onto the eroded stone bank to position himself between the low levels and the underground river. His hands quickly flicked across his interphase as a bronze flicker emerged before him his broad hands grasped the knuckle dusters firmly and crashed them together with a thunderous clash. His eyes held a stern glare towards the creatures as he spoke softly, and with a hint of humour.
"Ya hav' some questions, mind runnin' first? I doubt they let us have lengtheh monologs."
His stride was slow and certain as he eyed them, giving a behind gesture to the party to follow him as his stride took him down river. The structure was curiously man made, as beams held the wall over with the stream cut through the rock over time. The creatures shadowed their movement as the jeered across the shoreline, briefly the dwarf toggled on -Natures Tongue-, curious as to their nature of their speech.
"Huurrr, why walkies here, pink land cows!!"
"No not important, so tasty, so pink, so succulent, big, meaty, land cow."
The dwarf toggled it back off. Alright, not friendly then. Wonderful. The dwarf seemed to take amusement, chuckling at the sight of danger. Still, at least they might have the sense to stay away, even if level 15/20 a whole pack of them would be a challenge, especially if more came.
"Ta name's Tobin, as for the wh-"
The dwarf paused as the water rippled, the dwarf jabbed his fist down river with an unspoken urgent command to “go on ahead”. A sudden jerk of the body made a spear thrust fall just short, then the water erupted with them as the creatures surged out the water, the dwarf cursed sharply as the points of the implements scratched his chest as he back peddled with fast hop, the dwarf landed flat on the stone with his bare feet as he draw his left arm parallel and straight with his shoulder, in the direction of the creatures. The jeering chatter was cut short as the bipeds arm thrust out of it's over two meters to collide solidly with its face. For the briefest of moments anyone looking would see the faint imprint of the letters "KISS" in the creatures face, an imprint from his brass knuckles as it toppled backwards.
A forward bound took advantage of this sudden hole in the spear wall and the dwarf used a -summersault attack- to crack a second with a heel drop, as his feet touched the ground his fists lashed out to strike back both of the remaining creatures. Yet as the first creature lashed out with its spear, the dwarf had lunged backwards. One in the yellow, one in the red, and two just wounded well. It was hard to deal with many spears without getting seriously hurt. Hopefully the low levellers were able to find something.
"Heh, feisty laddies, aren’t we?"

Emmmerich had his eyes focused on the humanoid fish creatures, that is, until a voice familiar to the guardian was heard close by. He turned and looked around to find his little feline companion. He flashed a warm and kind smile at her. "Ah! Cherries, time no see." he said, as he knelt down and gave her a pat on the head. But reuniting with his friend, hadn't made him forget about the monsters, whom continued to watch the adventurers from beyond the river, he looked to the dwarf, seeking advice on what to do about them After all, he was the most experienced member of their group.
"What do you suppose we-" He stopped speaking, when he noticed the dwarf had been walking closer to river, and as well as the creatures. He took note of his gesture, to follow him. He followed his lead. They both headed into the river, the water pushed against thighs, not enough to force him off balance, but it wasn't completely easy to maneuver in. He looked over to Whiteeyes, or rather 'Cherries', as he liked to call her. "Hey, wanna ride on my back?" he whispered, not wanting to excite the monsters any further than they already were. If she accepted his offer, he would gently lift her up with both hands, and place her on his shoulders.
When they'd gotten a little ways past the mid-point of the river, he stopped as Tobin did. And to the guardian's surprise, the dwarf began to speak, to the spear wielding creatures. Emmerich quirked his brow at such a sight. But then he assured himself that this must be a skill, one that had little knowledge of. From the dwarf's chuckle, he assumed that their little 'chat', if you could call it that, seemed to had worked. Until the water they stood in began to ripple. As he was instructed, he ran, and if Whiteeyes refused his offer from earlier, he would had attempted to snatch her out of the water an held her on his shoulders, before he ran.
Eventually, he was able to reach the other end of the river bed. The warrior looked back, and sighed with relief, when he had saw that the dwarf was OK. He turned his gaze forward, and just several meters away, was a wooden door, with blacken metal hinges, knob and keyhole.

"Who won't let us mon-oh." Quick as a flash she opened her inventory and pulled out her blades, as well as her cloths. Luckily it was a slip on dress and so it took just seconds to put on. Sadly the miniature river was already soaking her cotton dress, promising hours of drying later. So when Emmerich (she really needed a nickname to use back) offered her a ride she was glad to accept. Sure it was slightly lacking in dignity to be carried around like somebody's child, but dignity can go suck it when you're half-up in water in a cotton dress and a current. She would rather not be washed away deeper into a dungeon if she could help it thank you very much.
When the attack came she was practically dragged away by Emmerich, only to reach a rather conspicuous looking door, meaning this was probably an actual proper dungeon. "Ah, Sir Dwarf! We've found the door to the next area! But this is a dungeon, so I would suggest we finish off the bad guys here before we go on and add more. Try and draw them this way, I have a decent AoE attack that would be able to finish any of them in the red or possibly even yellow." Luckily the enemies didn't have too many levels on her, and as the incident with the slimes had shown a few levels difference wasn't game breaking when it came to monsters.

The dwarf kept his eyes on the mobs as the stand off continued, the stubbly legs shifted backwards slowly as the creatures jeered and jostled for position like elementary school kids, their spears attempting to find a point of entry, yet none of the fish creatures particularly wanted to be the first to attack. Even as the lass shouted behind him about the door, he didn't respond immediately before he laughed; one big booming laugh that echoed over the rushing water and his head turned.
"Realleh lassie, ya nevar picked a lock bef-?"
The chatter was cut short as the awkward bipedal creatures darted forward, the dwarf jerked his foot up and slammed it down with a crash to shatter the ground, a furry of kicks of the -terra ferma kick- pelted rocks at the centre of the formation, a barrage of solid chunks hit the most cowardly as the rest scattered and the dwarf pressed the advantage to step in the void. The creatures recovered and in a desperate gesture charged at the monk together, the challenge met with a loud clap as a foot erupted into orange flame. The dwarf seemed to fly as he pushed off the floor and sent a -aura kick- spiralling out into a wide arc, two fell and the last and the last was sent spiralling into the water. It didn't raise again, much to the delight of the victor as he turned back to the party. It was only when he got to the other bank that it occurred to him that he was bleeding quite profusely from the sole of his foot.
"Gahahah, showed ya mobs, ya no match foa- Gahhhh! Jesus were a gawd man."
That stopped his movement as he knelt down, giving many, less refined curses as he pulled little shards of stone out of the wound. The dwarf sighed as he pulled a jam jar out of his pocket and took a deep draft, followed by a sharp gasp, the pain in his foot became distant as the alcohol scorched his tongue and numbed his body. It was a loose secret that the brewer subclass had immunity to the detrimental alcohol, one that newer players mightn’t be aware of. Even if he hadn’t, the fact that he was a practitioner of the -drunken monkey- style meant that any detriment was an advantage.
In any case the dwarf equipped his boots and rose back to his feet, his eyes fell over the lass with a curious gaze, as if now was the first time he had noticed her. A rumbling chuckle emitted from the mass, the dwarf’s grit had an uneven sway as he neared the door.
“First time I be seein’ a cat player ‘ere. Wha’ ta mystery behind the name, whitey?”
After waiting for her reply, the draw drew his fist back as his entire body swayed as by that point the poison filled his veins, the fist erupted into blue flame as the -dragon punch- collided with the door with a thunderous crash and blew it clean off its hinges. The broad biped found that very amusing, his eyes diluted as he strode through the frame with a slow swagger.
“Well, I also knuw how ta pick locks. Dun't worry ya two, I got mah eye out.”

"A door?" Emmerich said quietly to himself, as he quirked one of his eyebrows at the the sight of the door, that was just a couple of meters away. "Hang on tight!" he said to his feline companion, just before he ran at the door; Droplets of the river water fell from his soaked body, and rained on the smooth rock surface underneath him as he ran. Once he was near the door, he firmly grasped it's knob and quickly turned it. But however, the door wouldn't budge. "Maybe a little more effort will do the trick." Before he would though, he took the cat girl from off his shoulders and placed her gently on the ground. He tried again placing both hands on the door, and exerted more force on it's knob. But again the door remained shut. Seeing that the his strength was no match for it, Emmerch stopped struggling with the doorknob and took a moment look at his reddened hands.
"Geez, that smarts." he said, as he felt throbbing pain going through his hands. He tired to shake his hands, hoping that it would help somehow. He found it quite odd that there was a door, man-made no less, inside of a monster-filled cave. So wouldn't that mean this door could lead to the treasure, or possibly to this power that the landers had spoke of? He looked over to Whiteeyes, hearing her call out to Tobin. He then looked over at the dwarf, curious of how he was doing. It seems he was handling those humanoid fish creature pretty well. After all, he was a high level monk, taking care of a some monsters that were nowhere near his level. Even with the advantage they had in numbers, the dwarf overpowered them quite easily. Hopefully, with time, Emmerich himself could be that strong.
After it was over, the dwarf let out a pained howl, which made even Emmerich grit his teeth at it. "Oh, man... Are you alright!?" He thought was it stupid to ask such a question, seeing how the guy was covering the rocks surrounding him in a reddish tint, but felt that he had to anyway. He was going to going over to see if there was anything he could do for Tobin, but soon saw that the dwarf had his own method of taking care of injuries. When Tobin took out a bottle, Emmerich felt relieved thinking that it was a health potion. That is until smell of alcohol wavered in the air and into his nose the moment Tobin opened the bottle. The stared down at the dwarf, with a puzzled expression on his face. He guess he felt the need to celebrate, he guessed. Ememrich won't judge him. "He did just take down a squad of fishmen, so I guessed it earned." was what he told himself in his head. At least the dwarf putted his boots on, after his drink, so he's not bleeding everywhere anymore.
When he heard how Tobin has never seen a were-cat before, the guardian thought that to be quite strange, because surely a man this experienced would had at least met some. And he did give ememrcih a good idea for a another nickname for Whiteyes. "You heard that, Whitney? You're a rarity." he said to the cat girl, in a teasing tone in his voice, chuckling softly afterwards. This blue eyes gazed over at Tobin whom was preparing a stance in front of the door. "Alright, alright." he said, walking away from the door and taking Whiteyes Whitney in his arms with him to the side. Just as he predicted, the door was fired out the other side from the dwarfen monk's punch. Clouds of smoke and dust hovered in the air after his explosive punch landed. After it cleared, Emmerich followed Tobin inside, patted him on the back playfully on his way in. Within the next room they found was a long stone stairway, that lead far up into the bright daylight above.
"Oh yes!" the guardian shouted with excitement.

Whiteeyes was glad for the warning, because even with it she almost fell off of Emmerich. Falling while holding sharp blades was not recommended. Luckily he had the presence of mind to set her down, thankfully on dry land, before attempting to force the issue with the door. Turning to face the dwarf and wondering how she could provide aid, she was instead treated to an impressive display of power that was not only dazzling to look at, but brutally effective. "Oh. I, uh, guess you didn't need my help after all." It was emberrassing to a degree to have your offer to lend what litte aid you can be ignored, not because it wasn't needed after all, but because you're so far behind they can casually outdo your best. As she took a closer look at the dwarf, Tobin, she realized why. The guy was above level forty. By comparison Whiteeyes and Emmerich, combined with the fsh men, were a joke. And then he proved it further by smashing down a dungeon door like it was balsa wood. After Emmerich had struggled to even get it to budge. Quickly opening her menus to join their party, she was not missing out on the experience, she almost failed to hear the commentary. "Hmm? Oh yes, cat's aren't very popular. It seems the long standing association with the forces of darkness made them somewhat unpopular. Hence why I went for the more kitten look." she explained as she sent the invite. She sighed a bit as she fell into pace behind her teammates. "So, did you guys get dragged in here too by a riptide, or was it a more deliberate entrance on your part? I assume this is part of that inane treasure hunt everyone seems to be on?" Sure, Whiteeyes wasn't the sort to join in on a treasure hunt, but as long as she was here she might as well enjoy it.

He shrugged the suggestion of injury off with a wink and a chuckle, as a monk often the protection offered against injury was comparable to protection brought at a convenience store, thus injury came with the job. As he set he went to step through, a comment about not needing help made him pause. "Ehhh, "help?"
The dwarf's eyebrow quaked up curiously, the reek of the recent vail still strong on his breath. Then, it clicked. Sometimes Tobin wasn't the most sensitive chap and on this occasion the author had skipped over that part. In any case it had been true; it was an awkward challenge, but a level 40 and above monk could handle it given the right motivation.
"Oh, right, dem, well tis' appreciated anyway. Ya just kind of get in tha' zone after so many fights"
In any case he paused to listen to the explanation as he chanced a glance up the tunnel and looked disappointed to see light, though he flicked a grin at the mention of the forces of darkness, but kept that gag to himself and instead only nodded in reply. Being the only draw adventure he had ever seen he knew the feeling all too well about being a rarity. The dwarf started to stride up the stairs, at a slow leasurely pace as now that he wasn't under immediate threat of attack he was a lot more talkative, for better and worse.
"Aye, tha' we were ya. Tracked some people here. They blocked the entrance, we opened it. Never realleh thought it would drag people from the water lik' tha'. My apologies."
That last remark was spoken with a wink, before he frowned as he got closer. It was daylight, but it seemed to be distant even as they climbed. At the half way point it was apprent there was a cove of some description, though the narrow passage limited visibility.
"In any case, they probably heard tha' so no idea whether they be friendeh. So yeah, just hav' ta play it by ear."
"Indeed, I didn't invite you along."
The dwarf visibly winced as a shadow blocked out the light. He couldn't quite make out the figure in the light, but he could tell it was a fairly tall, if thin figure, evidently unarmed aside from a dangling pair of batons could be connected via a chain. A more in depth glance gave a level of 33. The dwarf chuckled, it would be rough.
"Ya need a hand?"
"Turn around, this is our spot."
The dwarf gave a humoured laugh, though it sounded course as he continued to stride up, unphased by the tense figure who stood guard. Now he could see that it was indeed a foxtail male, by the way it's three trails flicked around betraying irritation.
"Oh come on, I'm scared of the dark. dun't be so cruel. By tha' sound of thing, ya haven't cleared up yet. Sureleh ya need a hand? Them sneaky types are the type to keep it hidden in akward places."
There was a momentary pause, the shadow clearly gave pause, before he shrugged and backed away freeing up the light.
"Fine, just keep your noob’s under control."
Eventually the small party emerged out of the passageway without incident. The dwarf blinked as he glanced around at some point this had been a cave of some description, but over time the landslide had blocked the natural cove, leaving this great hollow space with a trickle of light flickering through a gap much further up. At the centre of the hold was a great body of water that held the decayed wreckage of a ship. Furthermore there was another hollow further in, the wreckage of a small dwelling sat at the far end the cove and further still was a hollowed out tunnel, the once sealed passage had been blown open. Aside from the Red headed foxtail monk, that towered over the dwarf, there was a human druid that had been perched on the rock that visibly relaxed, though he still felt the attention focused primarily on him.
-Well, I guess we jus' look around fo' now. Don't do anything too harsh, these guys might hav' a bit of the greed.-

At least whoever they were, they weren't hostile. But, they seemed to be agitated by their presence. Emmerich quietly nodded to Tobin in agreement. Even though they gave them entree into the cove, they might try to find any reason to kick them out. At least the Fox-Tail looked as such, he wasn't too sure about the druid though. From a distance, the man was just laying there on the boulder, while the beaming light, that came through the cracks in the rocks above, shined on him. Emmerich guessed that he was more interested in sunbathing than treasure hunting. Though he had to admit, he did had some thoughts about joining him. The guy just made it looked so relaxing. But he doubted that boulder could hold the two of them. And he wasn't sure if the guy was willing to share. He sighed and turned his gaze away from him to the rest of their surroundings.
After minutes of looking around, his gaze eventually settled on the hollowed out tunnel. He gave the monk an accusatory stare at the Fox-Tail monk while he wasn't looking. He had witness Tobin, whom was a monk like him, used his skills to open up hidden passage ways. It didn't take much to for him to add it up. So whatever possible treasure that could have been in that tunnel would have been taken by these two. Or maybe they stopped in the middle of claiming it? He then turned his sights on the wreaked ship. Would it be OK for them to check it? But what if these guys had already been on board it and taken treasure from there too? Or perhaps they missed something in there, it is a pretty big ship. He trekked back to Tobin and got close. "Let's check the ship, I'm betting that they took whatever might had been in that tunnel." he whispered to the dwarf, "I'm thinking two of us distract them, and one of us goes on board." He awaited for the dwarf's answer.

The dwarf let his eyebrow rise as the guardian made a suggestion and he rolled his eyes up as he considered the value of that idea. There was certainly some merit to the idea, though the dwarf was aware that he personally, as the powerhouse of the party was being kept under close tabs, by the monk easpically. It seemed there would be little room for him to move, and the werecat seemed particlary quiet at the moment. The guardian who suggested it seemed the obivous choice.
-Ya go man. I got'cha back.-
With that he turned toward the monk and started to follow him over, the monk turned as if to question him, when the dwarf shrugged as he went to continue walking. He could feel the hostile intention, but he needed the opening to act on it.
"Can't a man tak' leek in peace?"
(OOC: Unfortunately the plan kind of means I can't do too much in this post. Though next post I will make up for it in a epic fight scene. XD)
