“I want beef!” Foreman Mukade IX exclaimed one day while the tamer and the centipede were taking their usual stroll around Londinium.
“Beef?” Caerbannog stopped and turned to look up at her appendaged companion.
“Yes, beef! The meat of cows! I had heard about it from a cavern spider-“ the elite centipede pointed out, “-right before I devoured him.”
The samurai blinked twice as she thought about what the centipede had just said. Has he ever seen cows? It would have been easy to purchase beef from St.Pancras Station, but Caer did understand a thing or two about creatures great and small. Predatory beasts in the real world, once they acquired the taste of a certain creature and liked it, had the tendency to go after the same prey repeatedly. Beef sold at the Station were mostly taken from domesticated cows, which in turn were taken from lander and adventurer farms. And wouldn’t it be dreadful if one day Foreman Mukade IX took a stroll by himself and found a farm full of delicious cows? Such a tragedy! The landers could try to hurt Caer’s gentle beastie!
“Okay, you’ll have beef!” exclaimed the wolf-hair, “But only from crag cows.”
The massive creature tilted his head to the side.
“Crag? Cows?” he wondered.
“They are wild cows. And they taste better than farm cows!” the girl pointed out.
Well, there was some truth to that. Wild animals usually tasted better than domesticated animals mainly because of the amount of exercise that the former had, and their diet too. Farm animals were usually fed the same things while wild animals ate what was available to them, making their meat juicy and fragrant if good food was abundant. Foreman Mukade IX seemed just about ready to faint as he thought about the succulent meat that he could devour. Any other biped would have been alarmed by that, but Caerbannog did not mind the creature’s very predatory look. Instead, the samurai tacked a request on the quest board which asked other adventurers to join her on a hunt for crag cows:
Crag Cow Hunt (c/o Caerbannog) Disable cows. Do not kill. Give to centipede. Meet at (coordinates), a large field in Windsor Greatwood Reward: 5,000 gold
As soon as that was put up, the tamer and her centipede walked off towards the Greatwood. Past the boars and rabbits who knew better than to bother them, the samurai continued and was followed closely by her towering beast. They soon arrived at the given coordinates, a wide field which had an abundance of grass and other stuff that cows like. And right in the middle, there was a herd of crag cows with levels ranging from eight to thirteen. Caerbannog sat down on the ground by a rock that protruded from the earth, and Mukade set himself upon the rock itself... as if he wasn’t tall enough.
“Shall we massacre them now?” the centipede asked as his maxillipeds twitched.
“Not yet. I asked some adventurers to help, we need to pull just one or two cows from their herd,” Caerbannog replied as they waited for anyone who would accept the quest.

Verin had been hunting in the forest, but nothing had been seen, it was if a dominating presence was keeping them hidden. It was shortly after that he found out the source of the presence, it was perhaps one of the most famous players on the server, Caerbannog. Even though such a strong player was here, it was the thing next to her that freaked the hell out of Verin, a giant centipede that was thirteen feet tall and had a pair of pincers that could probably cut through steel armor with ease. For some reason though it wasn't attacking Caerbannog and this made Verin curious. As he slowly walked out of the forest the insect became more terrifying to him. Even through fear Verin started piecing together a likely situation on why that thing wasn't attacking, it was probably because Caerbannog might be an animal tamer which would clear everything up. As Verin thought he had been walking and before he knew it he was standing in front of the duo. Once Verin realized this fact he quickly regained his bearings and said, "Hello Miss."

The armored clad warrior stood in front of the quest board. His bright blue eyes examined a particular request posted on it. "A centipede?" he said to himself, quirking his brow. Never in this world he has ever seen a centipede and especially not one that is capable of eating a cow. But it did peak his interest. He smirked at the thought of such a creature. It had be enormous! That was when he decided that he had to join this quest, just to see for himself what this giant centipede looks like. He opened up his interface and added the quest to his quest list and headed over to the Windsor Greatwood with a smile plastered on his very masculine face. It was full of child-like glee as he was excited to see this centipede.
After an half hour of trekking through the forest, he managed to reach the large field. Nearly every inch was covered in light-green blades of grass and the grass had little droplets of dew sliding inside it's folds. The guardian looked around, peering his eyes at his surroundings. He could sere the large group of Crag Cows he beyond were he was and over to the other side of them was-
"OH WOW!" he exclaimed upon witnessing the giant multiple-legged insect just meters away from him. Oh and there was someone just underneath it. It was a petite raven-haired, young lady. When he noticed her presence, the guardian shot her friendly smile. "Hello there!" he said, with a kind demeanor radiating off his form. "I'm here about giving Crag Cows to a Centipede, and seeing that this is the only centipede around here, I would think, that you're the one who posted the request?"

"Hmm, a cow hunt?" Jim looked at the notice that had been put up, curious as to what kind of quests the area had. For a starter area, this seemed like a perfectly reasonable quest. It involved defeating numerous basic sounding enemies, while making some quick money as well. He might even be able to make some new contacts, anyone that wanted to go and capture random cows for no apparent reason would probably have some form of ulterior motive. Especially because wild cows were certainly not ones that are easily tamable. So Jim opened the quest interface, accepting the pop up. His quest log finally had some activity, showing the single quest active. It was a slightly higher level than he was, but with a few others he should still be fine. It was only capturing cows, and from his previous mmo experience, he knew that most level requirements for quests were ridiculous anyway. And so he headed off to the co-ordinates he had been given, wandering towards the field in the distance. When he arrived, he was certainly quite shocked at the visage that greeted him upon arrival. While the quest certainly said to deliver some cows to a centipede, this was not the type of centipede he had expected. Standing ridiculously large, and with an extremely frightening appearance. If the monster was this big, why did he need assistance? Jim opened the scan window, utilizing his scholar ability to bring up extra stats about him. Foreman Mukade Level 30 Type: Insect Rank: Elite Nature: Predatory Found in: Old Quarry Caverns Weakness/Resistances: Resist [Earth, Physical, Poison] - Night Vision: Passive. Resistant to blindness debuffs. Increased accuracy and damage at night for 10%. - Bulldoze: The monster charges forward at high velocity while lowering its head toward the ground. This attack serves as a defense against ranged attackers as the monster quickly closes the distance. - Burrow: The monster quickly digs a tunnel underground. This can be used defensively to dodge an attack or offensively to sneak attack an enemy. - Quake Stomp: The monster pounds the cavern floor heavily and knocks down earth and debris onto all nearby targets. Description: A giant centipede that's roughly 4 meters in length. It is characterized by its dark brown body that blends in with the surrounding earth. Of all the monsters that make their home within the caverns, this centipede is nearly unmatched in its ability to use its environment as its hunting grounds. Jim let out a low whistle. This monster was certainly plenty strong enough to take out a few simple cows. But, instead of attempting to puzzle out the reasons behind asking lower level people to assist in this quest, he instead went to the player standing beside the monstrosity, the higher level one who had posted the quest, ignoring the other two completely. "I assume you are the one that I need to contact about this quest? And if so, you and your centipede friend seem perfectly capable of restraining a few cows. What is it you need some others for?" He crossed his arms, tapping his feet slightly while he waited for the explanation INVENTORY
EQUIPMENT:
Starter Cloth Armor: A basic set of cloth armor made from cheap fabric. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. Apprentice Grimoire: A one-handed apprentice’s book of spells designed for novice mages, made out of cheap materials. Doesn’t particularly have too many pages, but it is better than nothing. If used by a magic class, you get the ability to shoot a basic magic attack with a range of 2 meters. Crag cows were way too laidback for their own good. Perhaps they were used to the presence of adventurers, or perhaps they were overconfident of their strength. Whatever their reason may be, even though one of the cows spotted the massive centipede and his half-pint tamer, they just continued to graze without a care in the world. Foreman Mukade IX was a lot less laidback and he immediately turned to look at the source of the vibrations of some footsteps. Caerbannog also momentarily took her eyes off the herd as she glanced at the direction to which the centipede was looking.
“Hello! Nice to meet you!” the samurai stood up when she was approached by a sorcerer named Verin, “I’m Caerbannog and this is Muu-chan!”
The wolf-hair, whose race was hidden from the interface and whose racial traits were tucked away since she was out of battle, waved towards the elite centipede who crawled a short distance towards the sorcerer. Mukade nodded at Verin and waved his appendages as an awkward greeting. A guardian approached them soon after, and as most guardians go, this one had a funny tone to his greeting whether he intended it or not.
“There are probably some centipedes under that rock,” was Caer’s reply to Emmerich as she pointed to the rock that she had been sitting on just moments ago, “But I don’t think they eat crag cows.”
Before she could say anything else, an enchanter arrived at the scene. This guy seemed to just ignore the other two adventurers and spoke directly to Caerbannog, and with a most direct question too. He was a rather serious-looking fellow, but nothing about him was too creepy or off-putting. And so the samurai replied in kind to @jimtheking.
“For dessert,” the wolf-hair bluntly said, her face so serious as if she was engaged in battle. But then her features softened, and Caer snickered as she continued, “We’ll all have CAKE together!”
At that, Foreman Mukade IX slithered across the ground and was almost instantly by his tamer’s side. If there was one word that he could understand in any language, it was ‘cake’. The elite centipede towered over his tamer as his maxillipeds clicked beneath his chin. The samurai pulled an ice cream cake from her inventory and handed it up to the creature. Mukade quickly, but cautiously, snatched the ice cream cake from the girl’s hand and he swallowed it whole. The creature then let out a contented rumble as he calmed down and began to preen his face, or whatever was recognizable of it.
“Not too much or you’ll ruin your appetite,” she reminded the centipede but it didn’t matter much, and so she had not spoken in his language.
Caerbannog then gestured for the enchanter to follow her as she walked towards the rock. The vertically-challenged samurai hopped onto it for good measure, and also to make her tower over the quest participants. As soon as they were gathered close to her, the samurai pointed to the herd and then she opened up her palm towards the rest of the vast field.
“To that direction is Savill Flower Grove,” the samurai said as she pointed to her left, “The herd will definitely stampede once we break their ranks. Crag cows that are not caught must be directed to the right, away from the Grove.”
She then put her sword in her inventory and pulled out her black bow Notthrafn.
“If you hold them still for a moment, I can incapacitate a leg or two,” the samurai looked then at Emmerich who was probably going to literally hold down a cow since he was not a ranged fighter, “I’m accurate. Don’t worry.”
By then, Foreman Mukade IX had finished cleaning his face and was ready for a fight, or for the main course.
“I think two cows will do, but we should get a third just to be sure,” the wolf-hair said; boy, she was talking so much more than she usually did, “Crag cow must be alive, because they turn to data and cannot be eaten whole when they die.”

"Okay understood," inside Verin's mind he had no clue what was going on, but he didn't want to upset the giant insect that scared the hell out of him. Verin turned to the others and smiled, "I'm Verin it's a pleasure to meet you both. From what I can tell you," Verin directs his gaze at the man with the wavy hair, "Are of the Warrior classes and you," Verin directs his gaze at the man with the blue hair, "Are of the mage classes like me." Verin then took out his sword, pointing it to the ground and smiled, "I'm guessing with the strength of a warrior and two mages it will be an easy task, the only hard part is making sure not to go overboard and kill it accidentally." Verin then brought out his status window and then choose the option to create a party and choose the two people in front of him, whose names he found out do this, and then hit the Invite to Party option. "I hope you both like cooperation because I do."

"Well, I'd bet if they were a certain size, they could make Crag Cows part of their daily diet." Emmerich said to the miniature samurai, with a playful tone in his masculine voice. If she was going to play dumb he might as well played along, right. There was a short pause before he resumed talking again. "Don't 'cha think?" he said to her, with his eyes turning upwards just slightly at the enormous centipede which towered over them.
Even when he was standing under the giant creature, he still had that smile on his face. He did felt quite in awe of being in a presence of something so mind boggling huge. But after a moment, he turned his gaze from the centipede to the other adventurers whom, just like him, were here for the quest. When he saw them, he gave them a warm smile and a friendly gesture of his hand to welcome them, causing the metal plates of the armor over his arm and hand, to clamor lightly together. From their appearance, he could tell that one was a sorcerer and the other was an enchanter. Soon the female samurai motioned for the party to follow her, which the guardian did, to a nearby rock where she would stand on. The short size of the samurai and the need for high places made it obvious to the guardian, that she was self conscious of her height. He couldn't help but smile a bit as he listened to the layout of her plan.
Once she was done, Emmerich brought up his inventory tab and equipped his Swordstaff. The double bladed spear suddenly appeared in his hands. When it did, he held in one arm and leaned it over his shoulder and turned over to the miniature samurai, "Alright, I'll bring out a couple but I must warn you, I might bring out more than what was intended." he stopped and rubbed the back of his head. "I ain't too used to the range of this skill."
Emmerich took his spear in both hands and approached the herd of Crag Cows, with the spearhead pointed at them. He would continue to advance until a couple of them noticed his presence. When that happened, he stopped moving forward. "C'mon, remember how it's done.." he said to himself as he got into a stance.
When he did, he looked down at his hot keys selection for a second, looking at a particular skill. With the icon of the skill memorized, he closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. It wasn't until moments later that he felt the skill activating inside of him, inside of his throat actually, as he gave a loud howl. The vibrations that emitted from the howl was so strong, that the earth underneath him began to tremor. The vibrations would gradually reach a three meter radius around Emmerich, which would also engulf a few of the Crag Cows; The grass and soil shook and broke apart underneath their hooves, when the fierce vibrations reached them. With their meal of grass interrupted, the bovine creatures were compelled to charge at the guardian. But however, the strength of the vibrations, slowed their movements dramatically.

"Ah, of course, such an obvious answer. How could I not have figured it out myself" Jim responded to the Samurais answer, his voice dripping with sarcasm, his eyes going a full circle inside his skull, the roll matching the sarcasm that exuded from his very being at the moment. He fell silent though, not asking the Samurai again, and not expecting the Samurai to follow up even if he did. Instead he concentrated on the two others that had appeared, the two that he had ignored previously. First, the Sorcerer. With a sword. Always interesting to see in action, though the practical application, except to 'look cool' always seemed to be minimal, due to the base stats the Sorcerer class had. He shrugged, his gaze wandering over to the other person, a warrior class. This man was more to his interest. A warrior type class, a Guardian, by the looks of it. This should be more useful for subduing a few cows. He frowned slightly when a small notification pinged up in the corner of his vision, and he flicked it lightly, the notification opening up to turn into a party request, from the Sorcerer. Jim sighed, quickly clicking accept and joining the party, before turning his attention to the Assassin, simply stating "I will do what is necessary." In response to the Sorcerers question about working together. He watched as the Assassin motioned for them to follow her to a rock, his brow tilting up as she used it to raise herself above the rest of them, a small chuckle escaping his lips at the pointlessness of it. As if she needed to raise herself in stature to assume a position of superiority, her pet could kill all of them singlehandedly, and she wouldn't break a sweat dealing with all of them at once. She was far stronger than all of them, and in a world such as this, strength ruled all. He snapped out of his thoughts when she started to explain the area around them, and what their mission would entail. His mind started to formulate ideas as she explain about the grove. The Sorcerer would probably need to take care of that, as his abilities were not suited to large groups of enemies, and the Guardian would be busy with subduing the beasts. He nodded in understanding when she explained about why they needed to be subdued instead of killed, and he understood why she needed help from lower level warriors. "Excuse me @dindeen, you say you can incapacitate a leg or two, but with the massive level difference, would you be able to do so without killing any?" He pointed to the Grove area instead. "Since you are able to deal the most damage out of all of us, would it not be smarter for you to focus on killing any that run towards the grove?" He turned his attention to Verin "Mistake me if I am correct, but as a Sorcerer, your abilities cover dealing damage, not locking down opponents. And as useful as that is at slaughtering creatures, seeing as how we need at least three alive, I believe it would be best if you used your magic, which tends to be extremely loud, as a way to deter the attention back to us. Because as far as I am aware, most beasts get scared if they hear excessively loud explosions." He fixed the two he had just spoken to with a cold stare, an empty smile plastered across his face, his obvious sense of self superiority seemingly at odds with his pitiful level of 1. "Of course, that is just a suggestion. But I believe we are starting." His attention quickly switched, not following whether or not the other two were going to follow his plan or not, instead focusing on the Guardian as he jumped onto the field. He watched as the Guardian approached the Crag Cows and got into his stance, quickly shifting into his stance as well. He quickly activated Evaluate, reading the extra information before calling out to the Guardian "Be careful of a skill called charge, it's a quick 10 meter dash. You should be able to take a few, but if the whole herd use it you could be in trouble." When the howl began, he started to prepare his skill, taking into consideration the 1.5 second casting time, and watching as the herd of cows reacted to the tremors running along the ground, the waves of earth rippling beneath them doing multiple things. First the waves of trembling earth, and the roaring howl had drawn the agro of quite a few of the beasts. Second, it had slowed them down as they charged towards the Guardian. And third, it had seemed to scare off the rest of the herd, multiple Crag Cows running towards the grove. He eyed up the risks, and deciding that for now, holding up the herd escaping to the grove until someone who was better equipped decided to deal with it was his greatest priority. He started the casting, aiming at the leading Crag Cow, and 1.5 seconds later, chains shot out of the ground, ensnaring the beast and tripping it up, causing the others to run into it, a fair few of them stumbling or even falling over in the commotion. He turned his eyes back to Emmerich, carefully watching as the 10 second cooldown seemed to slowly tick back down. INVENTORY

It reminded her a bit about Goldilocks and the Three Bears. She was Goldilocks, though without the appropriately colored locks, perched on top of a rock so that she could better see the area up towards the first few trees that lined the Flower Grove. With her feet on the ground, her height was rather... lacking; up on Mukade, it would have been excessive and not too good for gesturing towards things. Verin was the friendly bear who wanted to get along with everybody, and so Caerbannog accepted his party invitation. The samurai did not say much to him, having foreseen incredibly long conversations if she was to start one.
Emmerich was the bear in the middle ground, talkative but not too encroaching of personal space. It seemed that he was adept as his role as a tank who had to initiate fights. When the guardian approached the herd, Foreman Mukade IX raised his antennae up towards that direction. As blind as any centipede, he could only take note of the disturbances in the air and the vibrations on the ground. The guardian’s steps told the centipede that he was headed for the crag cows and Mukade excitedly anticipated the battle that was sure to follow.
And the last bear was @jimtheking who complained about the missing porridge. He was sour and bitter at the same time, but all of it was understandably human nature. Caerbannog listened to his piece and soon put away her bow. She had hoped to graze the beasts and slow them down, but even with just a Level 20 weapon on her, the enchanter’s advice was sound. With the level gap between her and the targets, there was a chance that she could deal more damage than she should.
Instead of her usual nagamaki or yumi, the samurai toggled her Bushido skill Nitengorin and took out her pair of blades Geri and Freki, the former on her right hand and the latter on the left. As soon as the guardian initiated the fight, Caerbannog told Mukade to “Stay.” and then she ran off towards the direction of the grove. Her eyes became a golden color once the fight began, and the wolf ears which usually hid away in her thick hair flicked up and forward. She observed the beginning of the battle before her: the enchanter’s binding skill was a good deterrent which made some of the crag cows swerve away from the path to the grove. However, cows can be just as stubborn as any beast and four of them circled around the disabled crag cow and continued their escape towards the same direction.
The samurai activated Denkosekka for the speed boost so that she could overtake the cows, and as soon as she was almost ahead of them, Caer slashed her ninjato Geri at the ground. She had not aimed for the crag cows legs, rather to the earth itself and the slash was not a normal one but a usage of Zantetsuken. The ground opened up in front of the cows and two of them stumbled while a third fell upon the fallen. The fourth one still managed to swerve away from the chasm. Annoying.
Caerbannog huffed as she flicked Freki towards the runaway cow. As the blade left the hilt, the chain unraveled the samurai whipped the kama towards the cow’s limbs. The chain became tangled against the hind legs and with all her might, the wolf-hair pulled her weapon and literally broken the poor creature’s hind leg. She had not deal a blow directly with her weapon thus only the fall to the ground and the damage to the hind legs licked at the cow’s hit points. It laid on the ground rather disappointingly while the other cows which had piled up in front of Zantetsuken’s chasm were able to get up and run away from the direction of the grove.
At the other side of the battle field, the crag cows which were not pulled in by Emmerich’s skill were but a few. Two stray cows ran away from the grove and they best be left that way. The guardian would need help in dealing with his attracted bovines though, perhaps someone could cut or burn off a leg or two from one of the crag cows that engaged the party’ s more defensive tank.

Verin saw that Emmerich was going to have some trouble with the number of cows he had attracted. " I'm going in," with this three word sentence Verin bolted in and let his mind go wild. He quickly brought up his hand and shot off Orb of Lava towards one of the cows and then quickly enchanted his sword with fire using Inferno Strike, the cow he shot with Orb of Lava had fallen so he somersaulted over it and then slashed another one's right legs sideways. He then planted his legs on the newly sliced cow and did a back somersault, landing perfectly. " Wow this is fun, I've never tested the body's actual extent like this." Verin turned around only to be hit by a charging cow and sent flying back some. Once he got his bearings back he looked at the cow and charged. He quickly did something crazy, he threw his sword like a boomerang and it just barely hit. It cut through the leg and then Verin caught up and punched the cow's face. Verin got his hand under the cow's head and then used another Orb of Lava, killing it and causing the creature to burst apart. " Hahahaha, take that freakin cow," Verin said this with the glint of murder in his eyes which disappeared and he smiled again, picking up his sword getting ready to fight some more. Even after he stopped howling, the effects of the skill continued on; The lingering echo of his voice blasted all around him and the waves of sound traveled through the ground, creating tremors which impeded the Crag Cows' advancement. But, however, he knew the skill would only keep them at bay for only a while. And though their movements were slow, they were still coming closer with every step. Despite the approaching danger, Emmerich kept calm. He faced the beasts with a knowing smile while he reared back his spear, and his eyes focused on the nearest Crag Cow. Immediately when they did, head of spear lit up brightly as he used <Spear Break>.
He shot his spear in a straight forward thrust into the closest Crag Cow. The spearhead collided with the beast's underbelly. With the spear wedged underneath, Emmerich tightly held onto it as he exerted his strength through it. The moment he did, the light that emitted from his spearhead exploded as he sent the bovine flying backwards with incredible force. It tumbled along the broken earth, mooing loudly as it was battered against it. Emmerich wasn't finished with this bovine yet. Unfortunately for the Crag Cow, it ended up falling out of the range of <Anchor Howl> which activated the skill's other effect: Any retreating foe will punished with a vicious counter attack. As if his body were controlled by outside forces, Emmerich was suddenly taken over to the Crag Cow, and his arms, on their own, sung his spear in a diagonal swing, his bladed spearhead chopped through it's frontal legs in single stoke.
After the counter attack landed, the echoed howl and tremors stopped. The other Crag Cows, he had trapped with his skill, charged in a straight line away from him. He looked over at the weakened Crag Cow he maimed with his attack. Even though he had tested out this skill combo beforehand, he still wasn't used to suddenly teleporting right next to an enemy. But at least he got one of this things alive like the kid samurai wanted. Was she even a 'kid'? Either way, by looking around the field he could see she doing well keeping the Crag Cows in line. He was a little embarrassed that he only managed to get only one ready for her centipede to feast on. He saw that the rest of his Crag Cow were taken on by one of the sorcerers. He seemed to have control over them well enough, despite the level difference.
He decided to move over to where more of the Crag Cows were and also where the samurai was.

When you sign up for a quest to capture crag cows out in the middle of nowhere, which will later be fed to a massive centipede, ‘normal’ is not what you would expect to see in it. And indeed, Caerbannog got just what she expected. Their sorcerer Verin just punched a cow on the face. It would have been normal for a monk to do it, but for a mage class to get up and close to a target, much less punch it right on the kisser... that was something unexpected- in normal quests. Anyhow, three more cows were down; two with severely damaged legs and little to no mobility, while a third was knocked out cold both due to shock and a face-punch.
The samurai glanced over to the guardian Emmerich who’d done his job well. With the crag cows in his range slowed down, that was probably a factor to the punch to the face. Non-debilitated cows were usually too quick to follow when charging in. As for the remaining cows, they high-tailed the hell out of there. The adventurers were taking them down one by one, and it did not help that a massive centipede was ominously perched upon a rock that overlooked their grazing area. Speaking of the centipede, Foreman Mukade IX burrowed into the ground when Caerbannog motioned for him to come over.
“Oh boy!” Mukade clicked his appendages as soon as he emerged from the earth close to Emmerich’s feet, “That’s a lot of cows!”
While the creature was beaming at the sight before him, the third cow that had fallen on two cows that Caer disabled got up and began to run. The samurai considered letting it run away but the creature headed towards the direction of Savill Flower Grove.
“Fetch!” Caer yelled as she pointed to the escaping cow.
“I do not understand that word, but I do understand that gesture,” Mukade clicked his mandibles and then he lowered his head.
Using his skill “Bulldoze”, Foreman Mukade IX quickly closed the distance between himself and the crag cow; the impact sent the four-legged beastie reeling over to one side. Mukade then clamped his maxillipeds down on the crag cow’s neck and then he proceeded to drag the creature back to Caerbannog. Unfortunately, the strength of his hold snapped the cow’s neck and soon enough, it turned into inedible data. Mukade stared at the sparkly bits and then, quite forlornly, he crawled over to the adventurers.
“Remember, they disappear if they die,” Caer reminded her pet.
“Woe is me, I have lost a cow!” Mukade cried to the adventurers, even to Emmerich and Verin who could not understand him; the third adventurer who signed up for the quest was unresponsive so the centipede paid him no mind.
“He feels bad for killing that cow,” the samurai said to the other adventurers, “I’ll give you your rewards now. You might not want to stick around to see him eat them...”
A bit too late for that though. Foreman Mukade IX was instantly back to his high spirits when a nearby cow twitched and tried to get up. It was the one that the sorcerer had punched on the face. Mukade bulldozed that crag cow and before it could retaliate, the centipede began to eat the cow from its legs up to its torso. His maxillipeds sliced through the crag cow’s flesh as if he was a paper shredder tearing apart some useless documents. Blood and guts spewed over him while the cow cried out in vain. It was not exactly a pleasant feeling to be eaten alive.

Wait what, that was it! Verin had expected it to last longer than that, but he should've guessed with the work of a level 90 Samurai with her giant insect, a level 21 Guardian, and a level 11, crazy, Sorcerer. " Ugh, that went by too fast to enjoy it all. Oh freakin well maybe next time you have a job for people, Miss, you'll have more than three targets. Though it was short I thank you, Miss, for giving a job you could've done yourself to others. That in my mind is a very nice thing to do and I thank you for it." Verin graciously took his reward, waved to the insect and Emmerich, then he walked away making his way back into the forest, wagging his fox tail and smiling along with his eyes glinting in glee. Verin then stopped and thought of what he should hunt next time, " Maybe I'll go to Sarum and hunt the local field animals for a change of scenery. I heard there was a Field Boss there that was a golem, interesting." [180] @dindeen VERIN HAS LEFT THE THREAD

It seems they had completed their objective. Emmerich knew it, the moment that giant centipede began engorging upon the bodies of one of the heavily wounded, and still quite alive, Crag Cows they had prepared for it. the Guardian couldn't take his eyes off the multi-legged creature as it devoured those bovines, whom were just barely clutching onto what little life they had remaining. It maybe disturbing, but he also found it strangely memorizing. He just stood there for sometime, intensely focusing his eyes on the centipede's form as it continued to feed.
"Geez, you must go through an obscene about of gold to keep that thing fed." he said to the young Samurai, after he finally took his gaze off her pet and onto her. "But anyways, thanks for this little adventure, hope to join in another one of yours sometime in the future. Till then, later!" Emmerich gave her a smile and wave to her goodbye, before he took up his spear, settled it over his shoulders and went on his way back to town. He hummed a merry little as he walked away, feeling quite pleased with himself.
