We are preparing to roll out our first expansion level patch here so we are looking for anything we might have missed. This includes
things that feel off/weird Things that need more detail or need to be defined better Outdated stuff Quality of life changes anything else you can think of.
This thread is only going to be open for a few days, so post what is on your mind. We will try to incorporate as many of the changes as we think fit after we review them. For those that didn't catch it, the patch is coming very soon.

I thought the social situation is differ from one player to another, so i think it depends for every player to ease us to create the atmosphere we want. Although I personally like to know of constant number of population in Londinium.

OOC: - A dedicated NPC team. One NPCer per thread so as not to burn out the same person. ( Edit: For events that require NPCing such as field bosses, dungeons and "GM" events) - Guideline for listing the skills in our player profiles. Some skills are edited in without the Tiers, so it is rather difficult to keep track of both for mods and players. - Maybe the Westminster Abbey subforum needs an updated description since Aeryn owns it now (within limits i.e. they cannot control the respawn area). In-game:- A better definition of the game interface as it comes up, since that's usually what new players ask about. What do we see in it? What can we hide using it? (e.g. privacy settings of player information) - Legitimate business feature. For example, the Dwarf wants to build a business but does not want to leave Aeryn. Could there be a subforum for listing businesses? It may have requirements such as x number of founders who invest in the business, etc. Guilds and individuals can also co-own businesses. Businesses owned by guilds can be made to a subforum that can be modded/edited by the guild leaders, just simple things such as pinning threads. Additional stuff:- Are wolf-hairs really human-like or not? Shoryu and Misa did not have obvious wolf ears, but Smash did. - Why do we call them wolf-hair though the kanji is 狼牙(族)?

Ooh, I'd love to join NPC team (if allowed). I also have suggestion to enlist the usual encountered NPC in Londinum (i.e largest restaurant owner or the nearest weapons and equipment crafter from big ben) in BRN newspaper, but I didn't get the full set of how to do it yet. Also, it will affect the world as it is fixed place with fixed persons to encounter, which will be big down for myself personally. However if this was the case, I can adapt again somehow. Interface can only be seen by the player who open it, and not other player. www.google.co.id/search?q=log+horizon+interface&safe=off&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=CjMqVOWpJsLraM3ugbgF&ved=0CBwQsAQ&biw=1152&bih=730edit : hmm, from the pic it seems Name, main class, HP, MP, status can be seen. On the other hand, skills, equipment info (name, basic damage/protection, effect), inventory list, cannot be seen.

I think the crafting system could use some refining. I'm absolutely lost trying to figure out what I need to do to start woodcrafting. Like, do I need to buy tools? Can I RP to gather resources? That kind of thing. I'm also confused about resource costs.
That kind of thing. It's either very not noob friendly, or I'm an idiot...

In regards to the NPC Team:
I think we should allow people who want to NPC to NPC. Obviously, the participants can ask for certain people to NPC, but it works the same. In this case, it would be fair to allow the people who NPC to get the AP that they get for their NPC posts. Just a suggestion.
OOC:
Any memos that we should know should be posted. i.e. the fact that we were supposed to start event threads... Also follow through on the events made instead of leaving them hanging.

On the note of NPC or lander characters. These have been available for a long time for people to play since it was first asked. A reminder of this is already in the patch notes. However people are free to create any kind of character they want right now with the exception of the nobility.

I believe the NPC team was suggested for official threads i.e. field bosses and dungeons, should the need arise.

You don't need to buy tools, but if you want to, sure? Most people just head into St. Pancras Station, and borrow tools from Landers. As for resources, you can rp that, but it would only be for rp flavor. The formula for the resource costs are equal to 5 x (materials needed) x (materials' level) in gold, as seen here.

In-game:- A better definition of the game interface as it comes up, since that's usually what new players ask about. What do we see in it? What can we hide using it? (e.g. privacy settings of player information) Most of that exists in the interface thread, bar an intricate definition of its appearance. I guess it was assumed that most people here have seen the anime or read the LN. Problem is, most people would rather ask in the cbox than explore the site. It happens a lot with things like AP.

Anything else you can think of: What happened to BRN? Seems a waste to just start an NPC guild and leave it hanging. Perhaps some of the Adventurer-run events could be released through BRN, assuming its still around after the expansion patch.
On a side note, it seems that only the Sarum combat team is around. Support team and Capture team took a holiday, I guess. Perhaps important plot events such as these should be started by mods so people who are in it know when they can start. On a random aside, I am switching from Support to Capture team, because with Caer around, there is no need for Support team.

Perhaps important plot events such as these should be started by mods so people who are in it know when they can start. And so that we know how the actual setting looks like, instead of throwing our hands up in the air or using what little info we know only for someone to tell us we got the setting "wrong".

This is an anonymous post since it directly impacts the richest players. I mean no offense to any parties in my suggestions.
The economy needs to be balanced. It is almost nonexistent. With everything costing a few thousand gold at most, people don't have much to spend. Also I don't think it's fair for people to exploit glitches in the Stock Market to give themselves 50%+ boosts in their gold. It defeats the whole point of the stock market being risky but rewarding. 4% interest rate daily per post might be a bit much too, but it wasn't a big problem before the stock market.
To those who are already very much rich, I would like to propose that if you should use the stock market, please stop exploiting these glitches. It might also be unrealistic to think so, but if it were possible to delete or remove any exploited gold by donating it to a mod, that would also help stabilize the economy.

It might also be unrealistic to think so, but if it were possible to delete or remove any exploited gold by donating it to a mod, that would also help stabilize the economy. I'm gonna just point some things out here real quick... 1: Everyone can use the stock market and it is a risk because you never really know when it's going to bottom out. Just because people are good at reading it and have found out how it works, does not mean they should be punished. It's just like the real life stock market. You read it, you throw money at it, and you hope to make more off it. 2: The Market should be rewarding because you're taking a risk every time you buy a stock. The fact that people are making so much money just means they are good at it. I had issues myself and I actually lost a ton of money. You don't see me asking for the Staff to intervene. Why? Because I asked a question, just like anyone else can. 3: If you are upset that you can't make money in the stock market, you can ask people who are making money to help you. All of the "money" you want us to give away, we pretty much are. If someone needs money, they ask, and I can bet someone sends them a donation with probably more than the person needs. Why? Because we're not jerks. 4: What economy are you talking about? Do you mean the shop? The shop that doesn't really have anything in it in the first place because it was having issues and was, from what I have heard, more of a headache to maintain? Or do you mean the crafting center which doesn't even make an impact on someone's wallet because you only have to post 5 or 6 times to pay for a small arsenal of weapons? The site doesn't have an economy in the first place because the Staff have not created anything for us to use money on yet, as far as I know, and the fact that people have so much money is because they have nothing to spend it on. I can bet you that when the Staff start to put stuff out, they will take into account how much money people have. I can also bet that higher level items, which all of us rich people will probably want to buy, will suck our currently fat wallets dry. The system is the way it is because it's something fun to do for players. If the Staff were really bothered by the amount of money people were making, the stock market wouldn't be there still and we would still be posting around with just the 4% interest rate. The Staff know everything that goes on and if it was a problem, it would have been corrected. Due to it not being corrected, it is safe to assume that the Staff are unbothered or it isn't a serious issue because I know the Staff can create several ways to screw all of us with money. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they already had an idea in mind. But if this is really because you're having problems making money, then there isn't a problem with the system. You just aren't asking the right questions, in which case, I direct you to the CBox where all of those rich players are located so you may ask for help. OR, you could even send one of them a message privately.

Seeing how all the rich players are rich due to me and are only so because they were in the Cbox... I would say you should really ask in the cbox. I don't do it on the willy-nilly anymore, however if you ask, I can help you. Using or exploiting the stock market isn't hard... and if you're really adamant about becoming rich, I can help you with it...
In addition, as crafters, it's not like we're holding money over every person. If you look... donations are being sent all over because honestly... there really isn't a need for us to make money or have money, at least the atrocious amounts that we have... I craft for free for people, because the amount is minimal, and it doesn't effect the economy all that much. In addition, in RP, we don't use the money ICly... so really, it's just a fun thing for everyone to do and compete in for the laughs. If you have a problem with the stock market, I can teach you how to use it.

Actually, the +50% bit might be a bit of a problem since it seems to be a no risk - full reward situation if you should happen to be online at that time. No doubt about it, there's almost no chance the stock I bought at half price will ever drop that low normally. We might have to consider whether the addition of the stock market is helpful for getting newbies a way to catch up in gold with the older members (how quickly can one start from 100 gold to 100k gold given a limited amount of donations?)
In terms of giving members things to actually spend their gold on, I should ask if there are any items anyone would like to make buyable from the NPC shop? Note that due to the limitations of the current shop plugin in removing items from someone's shop inventory (it removes the entire stack rather than a single item), these items should be things that can be applied as soon as you buy it, like the new skill skins we're planning to release.
If I ever get a response from the creator about it, I'm going to buff the Slot Machine's rewards a bit in exchange for it becoming the new high risk high reward mechanic.

It might also be unrealistic to think so, but if it were possible to delete or remove any exploited gold by donating it to a mod, that would also help stabilize the economy. 4% interest rate is very small when you're starting out. If you cut that back, the ones with the lowest amount of gold will suffer. Some people don't know about the bank either until someone else points it out to them. Personally I didn't know about it until after a week or so of posting. Before the stock market was implemented, I was already giving away crafting for free but few people actually wanted chef stuff. Okay, so when I got the blacksmith tool, I also tried giving away weapons and armor crafts but also few people wanted it. That would have been a way to make money go around, but only half of it is under my control. If no one wanted the free stuff, I can't force them. I made a quiz where people can use Tokens to get crafts or money from me directly while doing something that I benefit from (people read what I write). I also put up my own quests with real gold rewards but it takes a while to fill up. Whether it's the pride thing or laziness thing that makes people not do the quiz or quests, I don't even know anymore. I know some people send me private messages asking for loans and such, and I oblige. Some people don't even ask and I give them something ranging from 10k to 200k, I just put a message saying that they can reject the donation if they don't want it. Again, I can't force stuff on people. As for the stock market, while people call it a glitch, the stock market plug-in seems to have been made that way. Otherwise it would have been patched long ago. Also, there are people who just read the percentages, such as Tobin. The graphs were also hidden so that people can't look up the real world stock names. I've lost money in the stock market due to bad readings or missed timings, but I learned from my mistakes and actually Sell on the right times now. Few people actually have ridiculous amounts of money and most of those people are very active ones who already made money by posting a lot before the Stock Market was implemented. Anything that we have now, we have it because we participated in the RP and the Stock Market was just a way to increase it, and only if read correctly ( Saber actually loses money on it lol). In terms of giving members things to actually spend their gold on, I should ask if there are any items anyone would like to make buyable from the NPC shop? How about event-related armor/weapon skins, or pet glamours? Also, mounts.

They seem to have been a hit so far with the members, even if they lacked the corresponding skills. They may only be aesthetic, but it adds more rp flavor, and provides people with something fun to buy. We could even add a Windsor Antiqua item for Halloween costumes.

You're right. It is unrealistic to think so. It is also unrealistic to implement. There's no way to differentiate "exploited" gold from gold earned through posting/interest/crafts.

I think someone asked a long time ago about being able to customize some skills, like making Orb of Fire split into two weaker fireballs instead of one. I think it could work just like how skill skins are working right now. Might make it a little bit more expensive since this isn't purely cosmestic anymore.
I'd like to add Gachapon but it might be a nightmare to distribute since we'll have to go manually edit things in peoples' inventories like what happened during that first month when everyone was buying Windsor Antiquas and Call of Homes.
