Sitting in an empty workshop, the Fox Tail looked at the ad he had placed practically everywhere and by everywhere; he meant every inn, tavern and café he could find in Londinium. He has been rereading the paper he had requested from one of the Scribe Lander in the marketplace. It simply read:
And ending the most creative Ad the Fox Tail could come up with was a map showing anyone who is interested a route from the center of Londinium to the St. Pancras Station and finally to the small abandon workshop he was able to find that is currently unoccupied by the other crafter in the area. Looking around for the center crafting table, he estimated that the workshop was able to fit 5 to 6 people and still be wide enough to work. It was equipped with the one crafting table made out of both metal and stone and just at the corner a furnace and other tools a blacksmith could find useful.
The lone crafting table was filled with rusted screws, nails and a few gears possibly would be useful to the craft. Folding the paper and put it on the table, the Fox Tail started to organize the items on it while he wait for his Ad to be answer. ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- 326 | Word Count Hybrid Weapons; Whip + Sword | Researching... Suddenly the door swung open and a tall, dark haired fellow stepped boldly into the workshop. “Good day to you, my good chap, I’m here for the cookies and the glass of milk!” Bailin entered grinning.
“All right, all right, I’m here for the mechanical bit of your weapon of cutting and whipping, the… wwird… swirhp euhm how about Sword of Epic Whipping and Cutting… ok, naming stuff isn’t my thing, we’ve established that much. I’m Bailin, mechanic, warden and accountant. Your message has me… interested, so interested I took it off the spotI found it on… that and I might have gotten lost on the way here. This map is really something, you know?” Bailin said while he took a good look at the Foxtail in front of him. The chap was a bit shorter than he himself was, with grey eyes and short hair. The odd thing about the fellow were the sideburns, one does not see those a lot nowadays.
“So, could you tell me a bit about yourself? Also what did you have in mind specifically? What do you need me to do? Are there any friends of you joining in?” Bailin barraged the Foxtail with questions, moving his hands with the flow of questions as to emphasize the questions.
Taking a deep breath, Bailin gently exhaled: “Also, what are your intentions with this possible new kind of weapon? Are you intending to sell them or are you intending them as to be used for your of purpose and protection?”
Lastly Bailin came to the more important bit of the questioning: “So, I do have some ideas but… it might be best to wait for the others, what is your point of view regarding that part?”

Magma was walking down a street when he noticed a group of people laughing at a flier that requested help. A while after laughing, they ditched the paper. Magma picked up the flier and read it carefully. It was someone requesting help on a weapon, and seeing how Magma's sub-class was blacksmith, Magma decided to help. Magma noticed that someone else who was a mechanic had already showed up. Magma was here to help, not for the cookies and milk.
"Hello, I am here for the blacksmith request."
Magma took his zewihander and placed it next to the door from which he entered. He awaited Mokusu to notice him, he took out an apple and started to eat it while looking around the room.

Screw on one side, nails on the other and on his hands was the rusty gears. He was about to placed them in order of smallest to largest in between of the nails and screws before the door suddenly swung open and in his surprised, the metals in his hands dropped to the ground. With the sound of metal hitting the ground, the black haired man announced for milk and cookies, causing confusion to cover his face as the Fox Tail looked at the human.
“I’m sorry, sir.” The Fox Tail said, his voice soft and confusion could be heard in his tone. “I think you are in the wrong….” But before he could finish, the human suddenly unveiled why he was there and with a smile the Fox Tail bows his head slightly as the adventurer introduced himself as Bailin. “Mokusu,” The Fox Tail counter Bailin’s introduction, “Summoner, Woodcrafter and Merchant.” Was all he could said as the strings of questions began.
“Uhhh…” Was the first thing came out of the Fox Tail mouth as the strings of question ended before he could recover. “Firstly, thank you for answering the ad.” Manners, he had rehearse this while he was alone in the empty workshop. “Again, I’m Mokusu, a summoner, woodcrafter and a merchant.” Again the Fox Tail bowed his head slightly before unlatching the Starter Whip from his hip to show it to Bailin.
“I’ve been using this for a while now, and just a few days ago, I have encounter a creature with skin hard enough that this blunt weapon only cause a slight damaged and seeing as my level have increased and I have acquired the mastery over blade weapons, I would like to upgrade my whip, seeing that kind of creature made me realised there would be more of them, ready to attack. Without wanting to change my weapon for a sword, I believe with your help…” A loud crunch was heard as another adventurer had entered the workshop and with a nod, Mokusu mention him to join him. “With both of your help, we could do just that.”
With that done, he faced the blue hair adventurer and once again bow down before thanking him for answering his ad before once again faced Bailin and answer his last question. “As I said, this would be for my own used however both of you are free to duplicate and sell it upon our success in creating such weapons.” Looking at both of them, the Fox Tail smile, “Seeing as I only need one mechanic and one blacksmith, I believe we are ready? Oh yes! Bailin have some ideas, what was it?” ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- 445 | Word Count Hybrid Weapon: Whip + Sword | Researching... Bailin Magma Hirimito | Tags

“Nice to meet you and you’re welcome, I’m pretty much always in for some tinkering!” said Bailin “Ah, yes, hmmm… I think, yes.” He mumbled as he started to inspect the whip. As Mokusu began to explain he got interrupted by a crunching door and someone entering the shop. ‘Great a furry fest, ah well as long as they’re nice and useful and luckily I’m not allergic to fur.’ Bailin thought to himself with a small smile.
“Nice to meet you, I’m Bailin, warden, mechanic and accountant, also here for the tinkering.” He said smiling as he eyed both foxtail and wolfhair. ‘I wonder if they are genetically coded to hunt each other… but I’m getting off topic.'
“Ok back to before the blacksmith entered: I see the problem, more or less, so in short you want to make a flexible sword? I think the Indians, from India, in the real world, though that’s something smarter people can philosophise about, had something like that but from what I’m guessing is you want a a sword that can be either solid, like a usual sword or flexible like a whip, only then with sharp edges, right? ”Bailin said after Mokusu, answering his previous explanation.
“So, assuming you want that, I think a metal handle with a round pommel, both hollow so they can house both the coil and the mechanism to wind it up and unwinding it. I am not familiar with the workings of a whip, but I think an iron cord would be best because it can handle the strain of battle a lot better, compared to the leather cord. What do you two think? I myself fight with a rapier so maybe some instructions about swords would be nice but I think I have a general clue on the how, but I’d rather be safe than sorry.” Bailin explained, accentuating his words with his hands so other people, who might also think in pictures, would be on the same track as he would be.

Magma drew his sword and placed it on the workbench just in front of him.
"Ok, so you said we get to name the weapon too, right? and also about the whip/sword part, it's really up to you what materials we make it out of, like the whip can be made of thorns, barbed wire, snakeskin......we have alot of options and the sword can be made of steel, iron or other metal material. Also, might I ask the name of this monster you were fighting, cause I think I know what I might call it."
With many options at there disposal, all they need to do is go collect the materials. The choices of materials affected where they would need to go. Magma unfortunately didn't have alot of materials at his disposal so...they might need to go out and collect some.
'So, this might be a bad thing, but I don't have alot of materials on me, if you have some please let me know, if not, we might need to go get some from monsters."

“Yes, yes” The Fox Tail said, nodding along as he listens to Bailin’s interpretation on the physical form of the final product. “You are the mechanic,” Mokusu said, nodding along when Bailin’s ask their opinion on the cord. “I think that would be best too.”
“Yes, I’m truly horrible with names,” This time, the Fox Tail started to answers the blacksmith’s query. “Seeing as the two weapons will be one, creating it with metals would be best so it’ll be more balance. Thinking about it, if the whip part of the sword would be made with cloth materials, I fear it’ll be easily ripped by steels and such.
“As for the creature,” The Fox Tail closed his eyes, trying to remember the physical feature of the monster. “I do believe it was a Forest Treant, as I was collecting some wood, I accidently hit the creature, mistaken it for a tree.” Mokusu blushed at his past silliness and tried to cover it with a smile and a soft chuckle.
“Oh no, no need for that,” The Fox Tail said, when the unnamed blacksmith interject that they might need to battle monsters to gain the materials. “There are a few merchant here at the St. Pancras Station selling different kinds of raw materials, for different kind of craft. Just…” Mokusu open up his inventory and pulled out some parchment, a half empty ink bottle and a worn out quill and placed it on the table beside the blacksmith’s sword. “… write down what you needed and I’ll go out to find it.” Looking at both of the crafter. “You guys can stay here a planned it out.” And with that he bow his head and thank Bailin and… “I’m sorry, I didn’t catch your name?” Mokusu said, looking at the blue hair blacksmith.

“Hmmm, that’s…. well, let’s just say things happen to the best of that, shall we?” Bailin grinned as he heard Mokusu’s story about the treant. “I am afraid I have to agree with Mokusu on the material selection, cloth, leather and such won’t be able to handle the weight and strain of fighting with metal blades attached to it.”
“Hmm, well if you can get me… let’s see, a small coil, a screw and a gear for the wind up mechanism, probably be best to take two of each, just in case and a gear. I think one set will be to release the wire, the other set to wind it up. Bar that an iron wire to attach the cutting blades and a drum to house the wire, though perhaps our mysterious blacksmith can help us with that. Oh and a hollow tube, also iron, so the wire can run through it, probably put a switch in it, hence the extra gear, which will rewind or release the iron wire, making it either a sword or a whip- thingie.” Bailin said slowly whilst going over what he needed and thus giving Mokusu his shopping list after he offered to get the needed materials.
“So, nameless one, what do you reckon? Can we pull this off and if yes, do you agree with my little shopping list for the mechanical bits? And is it compatible with your blacksmithing? Do you have any suggestions concerning the construction?” Bailin asked the wolftail, who clearly wasn’t of the name- sharing kind.

"Like I said before, your choice on materials for the whip, just tell me what you want and then I can get started. Oh and true, but make sure that the blade and the whip's material is the same."
Magma walked up to the bench and sheathed his sword. "How about........Celestial Punishment for the name?" Magma searched in his satchel and upon further inspection, it was revealed to him that he had Iron, Malachite and Steel ore which could be handy for the sword/whip. Magma took the ores out of his bag and placed it on the workbench.
"Here are the materials I have on me, we could go get some, or you could just choose from these."
