"Another day in Londinium, first time crafting in the former train station of London." Solar muttered as he entered his reserved workspace in St. Pancras Station. After he heard his brother's first experience at their favorite place a few years ago, he decided to give it a try so he can work on his Mechanic class. As for his reason on choosing that subclass, he wanted to make machine-like items at his disposal since he wanted his build to be unique to common ones. However, after the Catastrophe and the discovery of new recipes, Solar knew he had to use these new recipes to survive this new world with his brother. And after he learned about the recipes from other Adventurers, he knew what to make first: A Wind-Up Mechanism. Although it was a basic recipe and was needed for a Music Box, which he needed to be higher level to make one, he didn't hesitated to buy the materials for it as he will try everything to level up his subclass no matter what. Also, with his younger brother the only family left, he knew that he can build a music box in a near future so they can listen to the relaxing song after a long day fighting monsters. With his materials ready for his first craft, he was ready to build it. However, the only problem to being a Mechanic and having a younger brother was a request he felt it was too early to ask... Lunar didn't stop smiling even after he left the inn as he wanted to see his brother craft an item in St. Pancras Station, his favorite place in this world. Not only he might see his brother in crafting action, but after he heard some recipes that only a Mechanic can make, he grew ecstatic about it. Running through the crowd with his smile still in place, he then shouted to his brother at his workspace, "HEY, SOLAR!!!" After he entered it, he saw Solar about to work on his first craft, which gave him a chance to ask a favor about it. "You're gonna start working on your Mechanic skills, right? Then will you try working on a skateboard that they just talked about a few hours ago?"The only thing he caught his ears was a Skateboard that was researched by someone named Hirosame a few months ago and since he often played his skateboard back in the old world with his brother, he wanted him to create some for themselves. However, being a big brother, Lunar felt he might say no to this, but he wanted to know if he can build it or not. Besides, he wanted to have brotherly bonding time other than fighting monsters together for once and what better way to do that was to ride their skateboards around town? Also, he also saw one of the first Adventurers he met riding one. although he somehow have a lack of knowledge of riding one. As he was about to unpack his materials, a familiar voice rang into the station, which caused him to groaned in dismay. "I knew it..." As he predicted, his younger brother entered his workplace and asked him about building a skateboard that he just heard. He didn't want to say no to his favorite brother, but being mature was not the only reason as he said, "Come on, Lunar. How many times can we go over this? I can't make Skateboards yet!" He knew he will bawl over this, so he had no choice but to break it down to him. "Making a skateboard required a Level 5 Mechanic to build it and unfortunately, I can only do Wind-Up Mechanism and the wheels for it in my current level."But now felt guilty at his brother's disappointment about it, Solar decided not to waste his visit. "But if you want, you can help me out by tossing me a book on Mechanic recipes to get me started." After he said that, he took a gear, a screw, and a coil along with his newly bought tools. The wrench and the tools are not perfect, but it will have to do for now as he started on piecing each of them like a puzzle. "Also, can you bring some refreshments? I might be here for a while." As he started to work on the mechanism by screwing on it with a screwdriver, he thought about the reason for choosing his crafting class. He wanted to become an inventor to not only build technology to help out the kids, but to entertain them including Lunar. But despite he has a little skill on it, he really wanted to pursue his dream even after that incident as Lunar was his only family left and he didn't want to forget or lose him anymore. After he thought about his reason, Solar smiled in relief as he continued to piece the coil and gear together, tried to make sure that he won't mess up for his first time making it. He had hoped that his brother would say "yes", but unfortunately, Solar said no as his reasons about it was that it's recipe was Level 5, which he can't able to build it since he was still Level 1, much to Lunar's dismay. However, he did asked him to help him out while he was working on the mechanism so he won't left out, which made him a lot better. "Okay, Solar. But will you promise to make them once you leveled up?" He asked as he grabbed the recipe book for Mechanics and opened it to a bookmarked page before he put it near Solar with a wall supported the back of the cover to stand it up. Then, his brother asked for refreshments as well, which he nodded in approval. "Okay, I saw some booths buying some burgers and juice near here. I'll be right back."Lunar then left his brother's workspace at the moment as he headed to a food booth not far away from it. When he made it, he then asked to the Adventurer who was in charge of it for his and Solar's snacks and refreshments. Then, as he waited for his orders, he then wondered about his brother's determination about the mechanism. Even it was a small item that was easy for him to assemble, Solar put a lot of heart of it just to perfect it. That was a kind of person he was, the type that looked on the bright side and never abandon anyone especially him or his friends. In fact, he did said to him a few years back then that he will invent something that can not only help him, but also to other kids like him. Because of this, it was one of the reason Lunar looked up to him no matter what. When his orders arrived, Lunar took the bag contained their refreshments and carefully carried them back to Solar's workplace, which he saw him continued working on the Wind-Up Mechanism. "I would say that food's here, but I better wait until he noticed me. I don't want all of his hard work put to waste." With that thought, he slowly put the refreshments on the other table to prevent them from spilling and sat down on the chair as he waited for his brother to finish. "Yeah, little guy. Until then, you have to focus on your own crafts in the meantime." He said to his brother after he put the book near him which was opened so he can read it, unknown to him that he started to struggled on the mechanism as he told him that he saw a food booth not far away from his workspace. "Okay, be careful out there, Lunar." Still on his table in his workspace as his brother left, Solar was still trying to put the mechanism together, which was a little difficult due to it's size as he pulled out a magnifier to get a clear view on his item. Although he studied about assembling mechanisms back in his world, this was different from how they worked since this was a fantasy world and technology was somehow extinct until the Catastrophe. Despite this, he was able to screw it altogether with his screwdriver as he managed put it together at last. When he did, he heard the footsteps of someone entered the workspace, which he guessed that Lunar must have returned with some refreshments. "Oh, you're back, Lunar. Hang on a minute, I think I'm almost done with this." After he made some final adjustments by tightened the screw on it to prevent it from breaking down, he tested it to ensued that it was built together without any flaws. And to his surprise, it managed to move without any problem as it he managed to finish his first craft. Happy to saw his first Wind-Up Mechanism, he joined his brother for refreshments. As for his next plans, he wanted make the wheels next, but upon he saw his brother, he realized that he needed more help about his battling style and his levels. And with his AP being calculated or something, he spoke to him about his plans. "With my Wind-Up Mechanism done, I'll try to work on the skateboards the next day, considering we still need to level up our other classes. But, after seeing this little gear, maybe I can do more than making it into a music box."He knew Lunar wouldn't understand what he was saying, so he had to break it down in layman's terms. "I mean I can use it to build something useful. I don't know which one yet, but if I can mingle with other Mechanics out there, I might get some ideas with their help."INGREDIENTS: 1x Level 1 Screw, 1x Level 1 Coil, 1x Level 1 Gear CRAFTING PROGRESS: Wind-Up Mechanism (2/2) (Complete!)WORDS: 407 TAG: LunarGOALS: To work on his Mechanic skills

It didn't took long to noticed him as Solar told him that he was almost finished with the mechanism, which Lunar didn't mind waiting. He was a determined guy and he didn't want to ruin his work by distractions. Also, he wondered what he will do to the mechanism after he was done with it. He did said he will make a music box out of it, but he was also curious on what other items will be made from it. According to the recipe book that he managed to take a little peek on it, it said it can run everything other than a music box, so that would mean there are items out there that wasn't discovered yet by this little gear. But before he can thought anything else, his brother just finished tinkered on the mechanism, which he was shocked in awe when it saw it moving. After that, his older brother joined him for refreshments as Lunar picked up a burger and ate it before he gave another burger to his brother to share. Then, he told him that although his Wind-Up Mechanism was done, he wasn't ready to work on the skateboards yet since they have no time to level their classes up today. Although that caused him to groaned in dismay, he did have a good point. He still wanted to learn more about his skill and he didn't want Eniko's teaching to go to waste. "Well, other than the skateboards, what will you do to that mechanism next?"To his surprise, Solar was also thinking the same thing about the mechanism, which he also felt he can do more than just a music box. But although he knew that he wanted to invent something to help him, Lunar has no idea what he planned next, which he then asked, "What do you mean "do something more"? I mean, since this world has a lack of technology, where can you start next?" His older brother then replied that he didn't knew yet, but with some help, he might get some ideas. This made Lunar smiled at his determination, which he knew he never give up on his dream. "Don't worry, Solar. You'll think of something. I know you will. You already said "I'm going to invent something to make everyone happy", right?"After he drank all of his juice and ate his burger, he noticed the clock on his Interface, which was now 10 AM, the time that they will go out and gain some experience once again. "It's already 10. I better go out now. I'll be at the entrance and don't worry, I'll be careful." With that said, he left his brother's workspace so he can prepare himself for battle while he prayed that Solar will never give up on his dreams not only to help others, but to protect him no matter what. After he sat down to eat his snack, Lunar gave him a burger, which he accepted before he ate it as he continued to explain everything about his plans. When he did, his brother suddenly smiled at him, which surprised him a little. Usually, he felt sad since after the Catastrophe over the worry that something bad will happen. However, he smiled at him like always whenever he saw him not giving up to his dream even when they are in another world. This made Solar realized that since he was still here with him, his trust in him didn't falter as they knew they will survive together and not let anyone take them away. "You're right, Lunar. And I'll make sure I can make something useful soon."After their conversation, his younger brother then told him that it was almost time for them to go out and gain more levels. And since he still needed to clean up, he gone out first to prepare, but not before he told him that he will be waiting at the gate of the city and he will be careful. "All right, Lunar. I catch up to you later." He then spent a few minutes gathered up his tools and put his Wind-Up Mechanism in his bag before he turned around with his toolbox and left his workspace as he thought, "Man, Lunar's all grown up quickly. Yet, I have a feeling I still need to take care of his mental obstacles first. But no matter what, I will not leave your side no matter what."WORDS: 263 TAG: LunarGOALS: To work on his Mechanic skills NOTES: And thread finished!
