I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
He watched a lonely cloud scroll across the sky as his mind blanked. Another night in a tree, denied the comfort and warmth of an actual home due to the fact he had found no place that suited his tastes. He sighed as the winds changed the cloud's shape from a long pole to that of a serpent. 'Well, if there's no place I like, why not make my own?' His hand instantly came up to slam right into his face as he groaned aloud. "And I took Woodcrafter for what other reason? Geez, how could I have forgotten." Hopping to his feet he went to the forest to start collecting wood. He had slept in the trees of what looked to be a park inside of town, giving him safety from the mobs that patrolled during the night. Now, with the morning sun at his back, he ventured out to the Wood Shack just outside of town, to borrow the ax from his friend Hyden.
He arrived just as the full body of the sun rose over the horizon, far beyond the normal time that his friend would have woken up. He knocked on the door as he called out. "Hello, Old Hyden? It's Weegee, I was just wondering if I could borrow your Woodcutting Ax again, and your Shovel this time as well." He waited for a response but found the door opening and an old wrinkly man holding an ax in his hand standing before him. "Here ya go m'friend. Take good care of Lucy and Barbara, ye know just how much they means ta me." He nodded as he took the ax and held it gently against his shoulder. "Of course my friend, I'll always take care of your equipment like it were more precious than my own." With a smile from both, they parted ways with Weegee travelling into the nearby trees.
He was headed for a small clearing deeper into the forest where he wouldn't have to worry very much with any monster spawns, due to the time of day. His face was covered with a smile as he eagerly awaited the chore before him. As he walked, he began planning everything out. He would start with a small model of a shack, something easy to break down when he could make something better. Like a tent made of wood, but just a little more sturdy. 'Well, it'd be better than falling out of a tree every time I roll over, I just hope i can make it well enough not to end up catching my death of a cold inside of it. That'd be terrible, respawning from pneumonia..' He went over his idea for what would basically be nothing more than a simple wooden room with a chimney hole above a small fire pit. Of course, there'd still be enough room to sleep in it as well. Well, first came the process of getting the wood, and stalling now would only waste time.
He set the ax down as he arrived in his grove. "Well, lets get started."

I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
He looked around the area first, he had about 200 feet of room here if he took care of a few more trees. Taking his whittling knife from his inventory, he went around and marked twelve trees. These would be the first he cut down, both for their lumber and to make room for the building. He would go ahead and get the area marked out for the building first. He would start small for now, a single room with enough space for a bed and a fire pit. Walking into the middle of the grove, he began digging a round hole, about six feet wide and four feet deep. It was steady work but gave him enough time to mentally prepare. He would have to go and find some large stones to use as well, or maybe even have to purchase them from an Artisan, like Adler. He figured he would send her a message soon to ask for some help with that. Once he had the fire pit completed, it was roughly around two pm. He still had plenty of time, but he still had a large amoung of work to accomplish as well.
Pulling himself from the pit, he walked over to the nearest tree after he retrieved the axe. Making a few practice swings, he gave a mighty blow into the bark, gouging the thick wood with the wedge-like blade. Chopping trees required a lot more physical exertion than one might have thought, but thanks to his training as a Monk, he had plenty of strength to use still. After a few dozen cuts, the tree slowly fell from its stump, crashing into the clearing with a loud snapping sound. Grabbing one end of the tree, he lifted with all his might as he dragged it into the clearing. It took him nearly thirty minutes to do this by himself, and when he had finished, he sat atop the log and rested his back for a short time. "Maybe, it would be a lot easier if I made them fall into the clearing more than outside of it." Rubbing his chin as he went to the nearby river to get a drink, he decided that he knew just how to make that happen.
Once he had returned to the clearing, he began chopping the next tree down, making sure the cut caused the remaining piece of wood to be towards the clearing, rather than away. This time, the tree fell into the clearing, rather than away from it, which would make the entire process much easier on him. With a sigh, he figured he could go ahead and get lunch, as his stomach rumbled loudly in protest of work without pay. Picking up the axe and shovel, he stored them in his inventory as he started walking towards town. His hand flicked across the interface as he made his way into town, bringing up the Friends list, and sending a mental message to Adler.
'Sorry to bother you Adler, it's Weegee here. Listen, if you aren't all that busy, I could use some help with a project of mine. If you are interested, I'd like to meet you at the gate of town at four PM. I'll help you bring out some stone carving tools and some paint. I think you'll have some fun with what I need to do.'
With that, he would begin running for town, he needed to go ahead and get there before she did. He also wanted to eat before four hit, but since he only had thirty minutes left, he might have to get something to go. Hopefully she would accept, as he really couldn't finish the place without her help.

[attr="class","adler_post c"] [attr="class","aptype"]Adl&r, the Artisan [attr="class","stats right"] Thread Type Social CraftingTagged WeegeeWrote 445 wordsOf all the advantages living in a game world offered, Adler’s favorite was the nigh unlimited bag space with magical (she gave in; calling everything Mary Poppins-ish got boring, and she had to adjust eventually) weight reduction properties all Adventurers received when they started playing. During this particular day, while Weegee worked in the forest like a stereotypical lumberjack, Adler was catching up on her housework. The huge pile of stones that she left growing in one corner of her flat finally burst like a dam and rolled to the farthest corners of the room, ruining the careful arrangement of materials and tools she had laid out not too far from it—an idiotic idea in hindsight, but there was nothing to be done about it now. Cleaning up a bunch of stones wouldn’t have been a problem except she had small mounds of stones she still wanted to use for her other works; without actual magical powers to draw on, Adler had been forced to sort through all of the stones for hours. When Weegee’s telepathic message came in, she had only just finished putting the undesirables in her bag and was relaxing face down and spread-eagled on her mattress. Adler was too lazy to move anything except her arm, which she needed to receive the call. Pressing her fingers onto an imaginary ear piece, she listened to Weegee’s request in total silence. Honestly, she didn’t understand most of what he said, but she was able to pick up that they were to meet at the gates of London at four that afternoon. [Sure.] She replied in a muffled voice. Groaning, she rolled over so that her face wasn’t pressed into the fabric. [Sure.] She repeated, rubbing her eyes with her free hand to try and wake herself up. [See you then.] Beep. It was time to take the rocks out anyway. No way was she going to be able to get away with just dumping them in the streets. With another groan, she pulled herself off the bed and gathered her things. Whatever Weegee wanted, it probably involved having to go out of London if he chose the gates as the meeting place. With her armor on and her shield and kunai in easy reach, she set off. At a quarter of its original size, it didn’t take Adler that long to reach her destination from her flat, and so she arrived at the gates with time to spare. She leaned against the stone wall and slid down, plopping onto the pavement in an indian sit. This was a good a place as any to wait for the Woodcarver. Adler began to hum. I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
Weegee had received Adler's answer shortly after having sent it, meaning that he needed to go ahead and get to town with more haste. Filling his legs with a small expense of mana, he leaped high into the air, grabbing hold of a passing branch to throw himself up onto a yet higher one, before leaping off once more with another of his Monk skills. 'Thankfully, the expenditure of mana for those two skills isn't incredibly high, which means they end up being amazing for travel. Now, to land in the market area, and grab a small bit of fruit.' Without any fear, he continued leaping from tree to tree, using his Monk skills only when absolutely needed. As he reached the edge of town, he landed with a roll, before quickly dashing through the open area. It was still too early for any real crowds to arrive, and the last thing he wanted was to have another anxiety attack like he did at Adler's tea shop.
Shaking his head to clear the unwanted thoughts, he darted around a corner and grabbed a few apples from the first stand there. He threw a handful of money onto the stall before he ran off to meet Adler at the gate. Going right around the stall, he would bite into the first apple he grabbed, its golden flesh seemingly melting in his mouth as he leaped over a passing couple. He didn't have a good look due to his focus, but he could have sworn he'd recognized that mop of golden hair. Well, either way, he had to meet Adler, and even a chance meeting with Indy or possibility of finding him on a date wouldn't stop him. Though, the whole idea did illicit a loud snicker from his apple-filled mouth.
Skidding to a halt at the gate, his body seemed to pull that cartoonish motion of wobbling back and forth from the sudden stop. Looking around, he didn't see Adler at first, but there were a few people around, not to mention a few dark corners she could have been hiding in as well. Swallowing the rest of the apple, he leaned his side against the wall and ate his lunch while he waited. Though, much to Weegee's, well, embarrassment, he looked down to notice he was standing next to Adler.
"..." He stared down at her for a moment as he took a bite of his apple, before handing her a red one. "Apple for a pretty lady?" This probably wouldn't get him off the hook for not seeing her sooner. He hadn't even noticed her humming, which made it all the worse. Pocketing the remaining three apples he gulped audibly before he smiled with a slightly nervous expression. "So, thanks for coming Adler, I figured you'd be the best person for the job, being an Artisan and all. I need your help making a fire pit, and some nice decor for the house I'm building." He looked away briefly as he spoke, before looking up at the sky. "I got kind of lonely without having something to keep me company. Figured a house of my own would be the best company I could have. Ya know?"
Of course, once she was ready to go, he would lead the way to the grove where his house's base was set up.

[attr="class","adler_post c"] [attr="class","aptype"]Adl&r, the Artisan [attr="class","stats right"] Thread Type Social CraftingTagged WeegeeWrote 509 wordsIn hindsight, plopping to the ground while wearing plate armor was an idiotic thing to do. Adler’s bum was starting to feel a little sore, but fortunately for her, she didn’t really have long to dwell on it. "Apple for a pretty lady?"She looked up at the sound of a familiar voice. Weegee the Woodcrafter was standing right next to her, apple in his outstretched hand. Smirking, Adler accepted the fruit and removed the stem and fuzz before taking a large bite from the bottom. “Thanks.” She said, her voice thick from having her mouth full. The Guardian refrained from talking while Weegee explained why he asked her here. Her eyebrows rose when he mentioned the fire pit. ‘Wouldn’t that be…?’ She couldn’t think of a crafting subclass that was more appropriate, which she supposed was why he called her. The Artisanal attribute of having an easier time handling rocks would have been why he called her, décor or no décor. It sounded like the perfect place to unload her stuff as well. Adler nodded sympathetically. “I know what you mean. If I could build my own home…” She probably couldn’t though. Even if she could, where would she find room for it? “I’ll help out, no worries. What are guild mates for? I need some things though, come with me.” Adler ate her apple while they walked. She needed something to bind the rocks together, and she doubted mud was welcome inside a home. They went to the part of London where she knew of a place that sold mortar where Adler had Weegee pay for the material (“It’s your fire pit.”) before finally setting off. As the pair strode away from London, Adler warily watched their surroundings. Weegee was only a few inches taller than her, so the Guardian was wary about Player Killers targeting them because of their heights. They weren’t freakishly tall or anything, but who knew how people chose their prey? Adler didn’t relax until Weegee led the way to a clearing in the forest, though even then it was only from surprise. He was building a home here? Wouldn’t monsters and players be able to sneak up on him? He wasn’t exactly leagues away from any sign of civilization, but it worried her, for his sake. But hey, if he wanted to be the star of his own horror movie, who was she to judge? Maybe she should show up in a hockey mask one day and kill him just to prove a point. “So where are my tools?” She asked nonchalantly, looking around the place. The clearing was large enough that anyone wanting to ambush them would still need a few seconds to reach the middle of it. There was nothing to be done about snipers though. “Where did you want the fire pit?” After he showed her, she nodded and looked around again. “I’ll look around for what I need.” ‘And scout the place for any stalkers.’ Though, if she remembered correctly, Weegee was the one who did the stalking. I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
Weegee followed along with Adler as she went to buy some mortar, before leading her back to the location of his work. "Thanks for the help, everyone that's joined the guild so far have been really nice to work with." He chuckled as he grabbed the shovel and showed Adler the fire pit's location. "Well, tools wise, I didn't know what you needed, really. I thought you had some. If not, we can easily get back to town and grab some." He began digging a large square, using the two trees as measuring sticks while Adler took a look around.
Pointing to the south, he spoke before he finished wrestling the trees into place. "Out that way, about twelve trees down, you'll find some nice patches of stone. White stone and one of about three colors, orange, gray and silver-ish. If you need any help, don't hesitate to let me know. I've got to dig the foundation in real quick." He began to start his work on the hole that would be the foundation by digging a large square first, then hollowing it out. It would take him a long time to do this, though, giving Adler plenty of time to find anything she needed. However, despite being focused on his work, he kept his ears as sensitive as possible to any sound as they twitched side to side. You could never be too careful in the areas where PKers and monsters roamed. That's why he was building this place, to keep them away from him. With a sigh, he rubbed his back while he stretched, hating that he could feel every ache and pain that even real life would have.
"Well, got to say, at least when we all go back home, we'll have more experience under our belts with some real life aspects. Like work, and building." Rather than keeping his mind on slightly depressing topics like going home, he quickly resumed the work of emptying out the large square of its topsoil. 'Maybe, when I have this down pat, I could build Adler a house. I think that'd probably be a nice thing to do. Yeah, I'll ask her about it when she returns.' He would continue his work until Adler returned, in which he would be placing down the first tree into the hole, to make sure it was the right depth. "Hey, Adler, I have a question. You mentioned wanting to build a home before we left town, if you want, I could help you with it. Make it the best one in all of London."
He rubbed the dirt off his hands as he inspected the log's position. It was a little too deep, but he could work with that, as he pressed his hand against the side to measure a relative distance. It was about the length of his thumbnail, which meant he had room to install boards as a floor. The only real problem would be making the boards, since he didn't have a table or anything truly stable to set them on for cutting. Though, a thought occurred to him as he looked to Adler. "By the way, did you happen upon a flat stone anywhere out there? I'm going to need one later for some cutting. Of course, I might can ask old Wyatt for a table or something if need be." He began to muse to himself at the end while he waited for her reply. Even if this was hard work for a guy that had never been given a real chance to do this, he found it rather enjoyable, especially with company around.

[attr="class","adler_post c"] [attr="class","aptype"]Adl&r, the Artisan [attr="class","stats right"] Thread Type Social CraftingTagged WeegeeWrote 469 wordsAdler just stared at him when he said he thought she had tools. “You told me over telepathy that you had some!” she scolded. Weegee corrected his error though, and she mellowed out, selecting a large maul that would be effective in breaking the hardest rocks. With the huge hammer slung over her shoulder, Adler counted ten tree trunks before she found the rocks right where Weegee said they would be. There really wasn’t much rock in a forest unless it used to be the floor of an ocean or the ground hid an ancient volcano, but scattered among the tall grass were medium boulder-sized rocks just begging to be rolled away to sit in someone’s garden. The question however, was could she roll them. Another option they had was to use their magical bags, but she imagined she needed to at least lift the rock if she wanted put it in there. In the end, Adler selected several rocks, all (unbeknownst to her) sedimentary. She would use one of them as the main vessel for the fire pit, adding her smaller rocks for design, while the remaining rocks were to be sculpted into something more decorative (unaware as she was about Weegee’s planned use for it). “I’m,” she grunted. “back.” She gave the last boulder one last push and it rolled into the clearing. The most obvious change the Woodcrafter had made while she was gone was of course the huge pit in the ground—the house’s foundation. She continued rolling the rocks towards the middle, taking care to avoid paths that might just result in a squished Weegee. It was tedious work, but until she got stronger (or obtained a manual crane to lift huge blocks of stone with), it was the only method she could think of. As Adler got nearer to the pit, Weegee asked her something. In response, Adler smiled. “That would be wonderful. I’ll have to secure premises first however, and I’d rather we work on the guild base first.” She actually had a volunteer! She had no idea what she wanted yet of course, but it was good to have someone on the team. Running around trying to look for sufficiently skilled craftsmen to help her with something ended too well the last time; karma was waiting for her to do it again, and she wasn’t stupid enough to attempt it. “I’m sorry, I didn’t.” Unless Weegee planned on carrying the logs over just to use the part of the ground that was solid rock, there wasn’t anything big enough for his purposes. At least, the purposes she imagined he’d have for one. ‘Logs.’ She realized. She could have asked Weegee for some thin logs to place under the rocks and make rolling easier. For an artisan, she wasn’t feeling very creative. I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
"Agreed, the Guild house would need to come first, but that's one reason I figured on coming out here and making this. Good practice for future build projects. Sorry if it seems a little, odd, but I actually prefer nice looking things. Much unlike a few other males I had known." He started again on finishing the hole, so that he could cut down more trees and roll them into the base. "That's alright though, I'll just have to see about getting a table from Old Wyatt or Old Hyden. They're an elderly pair of brothers who agreed to teach me the ways of a Woodcrafter. They've been an amazing help to me of late, allowing me to actually reach a level where this was even remotely possible." More and more dirt would accumulate outside the edge of the hole as he continued to dig into the ground.
"Did you find any good stones to use out there? I wasn't entirely sure if there were any that would fit the need around here or not." He looked over his shoulder as he brought another shovel full of dirt to the pile. He'd have to wipe his brow now as he kind of crouched down. It was probably going to take a few days for him to finish this, which meant that people would have a chance to find it, and that would fall right into his plan. He had made it closer to town, where the area was more likely to be inhabited by players of a lower level than himself. He grinned briefly before he got back to work. He'd spend the rest of the time until sunset working on the area for the base. "Wood isn't the best thing to use unless it's been treated to be water and rot proof. This is just a temporary setup for now, but it's a good basis for us to work on, right? Anyways, I'm honestly glad I get to work with you Adler, you seem a lot more fun than Indy or Capsule are most times. Of course, I've never really seen either one truly riled up, but hey. Can't hold back the want to see that."
He chuckled to himself as he briefly gave a grin toward her. "Oh, and did you run into anyone while you were taking a small tour?" He had hoped she did, he knew it was bad, but he had developed a small personal distaste for PKers. He just, well, wanted to send them back to town a few times, you know?

[attr="class","adler_post c"] [attr="class","aptype"]Adl&r, the Artisan [attr="class","stats right"] Thread Type Social CraftingTagged WeegeeWrote 378 wordsWeegee talked about his plans, his motivations, and his mentors. Adler, who had none of those, felt quite jealous. The closest she had to a teacher was the female half of the duo who owned and ran her preferred Artisan supply shop. Dáirine and Pól O’Donovan helped her with some basic crafts that Artisans ought to know, as well as providing her with clues and hints to find the supplies she needed. Not wanted, needed. “You’re too inexperienced to try to work with marble, Adler.” Dáirine said firmly, somehow without the tone that adults used with kids who should’ve known better. There was nothing to be ashamed of when you were simply being informed about something that wasn’t common knowledge. To call them her masters, in any sense of the word, was inaccurate. They were more like the experienced uncle and aunt you went to when you knew your parents were entirely clueless about the latest trend and mangled it almost beyond recognition. They knew what you were talking about, but they wouldn’t let you do something stupid either. That was how Adler regarded them anyway. When Weegee once again asked about whether she had found rock that would be useful to them, Adler was annoyed. Did he hit his head or something? First he asked her twice about the tools, and now forgot about how she had just said she hadn’t found anything that would’ve been helpful in making a fire pit. She would have taken it personally, but his comment about her being the coolest partner to have among the odd guild group they’d formed was absolutely flattering, and extremely effective at fixing his minor setback, or whatever it was he hadn’t yet said. From what Adler could extrapolate however, It sounded like he wanted pieces of rock to be used to build his cabin. Adler’s answer, unfortunately, had to be a resounding, “No.”“You should have said something earlier. I think people actually make roof shingles from clay, so I would’ve been able to supply you with several in perfect form.” She said in one breath. “And no, I did not run into anybody.” He was probably concerned for their safety, but then why did he look strangely excited? Weegee must really like his wood. I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
"Darn, well, with no stones for use in a fire pit nor a good flat one for cutting. Well, at least there aren't any PKers about yet. Wouldn't be good for them to run into us now." He chuckled as he lowered the second tree into the hole. It was starting to get dark, which meant that the work for today was pretty much over. "Well Adler. I didn't really think of using shingles on the roof, but it does sound like a good idea. The only thing I had planned for any stone was to surround the edge of the pit, so as to protect the wood from the fire." He rubbed his chin a he hopped up from his work site.
"Yeah, it's going to take some more planning than I initially thought. Oh well, it'll all work out somehow." Once Adler was ready, he would head out towards town, leading the way in the evening light. "Most people never really gave me a chance at much. Never thinking things out properly, never really considering just how difficult it might be, how exactly it would work or what all would be needed. So, it was always either do it myself, or not at all." As he spoke, he looked over his shoulder for a moment with a smile across his face. "So, thanks so much for coming with me, having your help means a lot. You're the third person ever to actually seem to believe in me." He chuckled heartily as they reached the gates of town.
"Well, if you still want to help, I'll meet you here tomorrow whenever. I'm off to go find a tree to sleep in again." He would turn and walk back out of the city gates as he waved. He would be heading back to the place where he was building to sleep for the night.
The next morning, he would resume his work, chopping down trees until Adler contacted him with her answer to continue the work. Or with any ideas.

[attr="class","adler_post c"] [attr="class","aptype"]Adl&r, the Artisan [attr="class","stats right"] Thread Type Social CraftingTagged WeegeeWrote 1127 wordsOnly to surround the pit! She didn’t know what kind of roof or windows or ventilation he had in mind, but clearly he hadn’t considered having a shaft that would direct the smoke outside. She might just have to make him change his mind and install a fireplace instead, complete with a matching chimney. If she was going to do this properly however, then she might as well go ahead and figure out how make bricks. How difficult could it be? “Is it really safe to leave all this here?” She asked him, frowning. If trolls or monsters came along and returned the boulders she so painstakingly moved into the clearing back to where she had taken them from, she was going to be very cross. The Woodcrafter seemed to think it was so however, so she didn’t object when he suggested they go back to London. And then Weegee started venting about how he was never given the chance to prove himself. Adler listened sincerely but offered nothing in return save for a few hums of acknowledgement to tell him she was listening, not knowing how to respond to heart to heart talks with men in the first place. It wasn’t that long until they reached the gates. She must have overestimated the distance if they got back so quickly. “You go ahead. I’ll be looking around town for more materials.” She wasn’t about to invite him to sleep over at her tiny flat though, so with a brief, “Good night!”, they parted ways. She would have to ask around for information in the morning before she knew what her schedule would look like for the rest of the day. Making a house would probably take a week at least, so she should have plenty of time to find what she needed. The very next day, Adler woke up refreshed from a good night’s rest. It was later in the morning than she would have liked, but pushing rocks around required a fair amount of energy, even from a Guardian, and she had gotten in at least eight hours. ‘Bricks.’ She thought, remembering last night’s plan. Adler stretched in her uncomfortable bed and jumped out of it, eager to get building. There was something about making things with your own hands (and not having any sort of technology to distract you from it) that was so fulfilling. That the product happened to be extremely useful was a bonus. With her clothes on and her equipment in her Bag of Holding, Adler exited her room and locked it behind her. Since it was a shared zone, there was no assured system for her to control who could gain access to her room, so a regular locked door would have to be sufficient. The floorboards creaked with every footfall, and so did the steps going down to the ground floor. ‘If I had my own place…’ When she remembered that Weegee offered to return the favor, Adler smiled. ‘The second floor above a shop.’ Isabella wasn’t an idealistic and impractical teenager anymore. Everyone wanted a mansion, but no one wanted to clean one. There were NPCs for hire in Elder Tale, but Adler didn’t want other people cleaning up her deliberate messes anyway. No; a simple flat with a floor or two would be more than enough. She just needed a proper bed, a work area, a bathroom, storage space, maybe an extra bedroom and kitchen for guests… … but never mind that. Weegee’s house needed to be built now, and the experience would definitely give her more insight into building her own home. As Adler opened the door to the outside and stepped into the sunlight, there was a determined look on her face that made her look like she was up to no good. “Oh, Adler! Ye’r back?” Pól O’Donovan said by way of greeting. He and his wife Dáirine were both cleaning the shop. “Good to see you, dear.” Dáirine said mildly. “Is there something you need?”“I need to know how to make bricks for a house.” Adler said directly. The O’Donovans looked at each other with raised eyebrows. “That’s hardly the kind of work an Artisan should be doing.” Dáirine said carefully. “Well, who else is there?” The couple exchanged another look. “I suppose.” The corner of Dáirine’s lip curled, obviously considering the task to be beneath them. “Pól can teach you.” Another look, but this time, Pól looked like he was almost about to say something. “Of course dear.” He said eventually, his tone as mild as his wife’s. “This way, Adler.
“Nobody asks for this quest anymore.” He said, making conversation. “Much less a lass like yer’self. No offense meant, of course.”
“None taken.” She assured him. He led her upstairs, the first time that ever happened. She wondered if she would have to fight him for his secret recipe or something. “I can’t help you much. I’m afraid you’ll have to do all the work this time.”Not too long after she entered, Adler exited the O’Donovan’s shop. Pól had given her a manual for making bricks that even had a section on making structures with them. Apparently London (not that he had called it that) was known for its brick manufacturing because London sat on a huge clay deposit or something. Rather than buying the materials, all Adler had to do was dig up the earth herself, and then follow the instructions on mixtures, molding, and baking the clay all on her own. Pól did give her some of the tools she’d need though. A shovel, an axe, some nails, rope, and a large piece of waterproofed canvas, all expected to be returned to him. The book was sewn together by hand, the notes carefully written in ink. Great care was obviously made to produce this item, but as it was part of the quest, there was a good chance that the O’Donovans had at least several more of them. She read as she walked towards the city gates. The process sounded a lot like making bread, except that kneading the dough was supposed to remove the bubbles, not add them as you would in pastries. From there, it was to be shaped in a mold, left to dry for a few days, then finally stacked on top of one another, covered (though optional), and baked. Maybe she could get Weegee to chop down more trees for her to use as fuel. Adler had already put away her manual and equipped her weapon when she realized she didn’t know for sure if Weegee would be at the clearing. She called him to confirm. [ Hey Weeg! Are you at the clearing by the way? Great! I’m heading there now.][googlefont=Delius] [newclass=.adler_post, .adler_post:hover, .adler_post > *, .adler_post > *:hover, .adler_post > * *, .adler_post > * *:hover]-webkit-transition: all 0.3s linear;
