It was around three o'clock in the afternoon, clouds covered the sky, rain made the water rise, and a thick fog was forming while a thunderstorm brewed above. Amongst this fog was a crouching shadow ready to pounce, meanwhile there was a disheveled and frightened goblin making its way through the swamp with water up to it's stomach. Carefully following its prey the shadow crept across the many thick tree branches that covered the swamp with some ease while breaking some of the small twigs that would create an even larger fear factor to the weak goblin and a greater advantage to the shadow. Constantly on guard the goblin turned its head side to side frantically while holding the butcher knife it had like it was a sword and not a knife trying to gain any sense of protection it could get even if it only lasted for a second. Suddenly a flash came above which was followed with a loud roaring thunder which caused the pitiful goblin to jump in fear and give out a yelp only to realize that it was just thunder. Feeling like a fool it stood straight, hardened its nerves, and marched on only to shake in fear again at the sound of the snapping twigs.
The next flash of lightning is when I'll strike I've scared the beast enough thought the shadow and thus prepared to strike the monster. Pulling out its long spear, Notus, the shadow got in the best stance it could since it was standing on a tree branch and waited for lightning to strike once again. Within thirty more seconds the next bolt of lightning flew across the sky and the boy leapt off the branch with the spear ready to throw through the goblin's head. The sound of the shaking branch caused the goblin to turn around and see the last few seconds of its life. The spear came downward towards the goblin's head in slow motion while the goblin moved its butcher knife to block it, but was and too slow and right before the spear pierced through its head the goblin could swear it saw a large green dragon with its mouth about to close down on the the goblin's head and past the dragon the goblin saw a boy in the air with piercing red eyes that could kill something if he tried. Afterwards the spear pierced through its head and it exploded into bubbles and gold.
Not giving a care about the gold the boy landed in the water, walked over, and grabbed his spear. After making his way back up to the tree branches the boy thought about the monster he just killed, it had been his thirtieth one over the span of the day. The boy had come to the edge of the forest last night and woke up before dawn due to the rain. Already in an upset mood he was new to the area, but to do his journey across the world he was able to get ahold of the terrain. After an hour of exploring he found the first goblin, finding out that they were easy prey if you played it tactful the boy easily killed more of them. Now he had killed thirty of them he was rather exhausted, so deciding to take a half an hour break he sat on a tree branch looking out into the swamp with his piercing red eyes.
