[attr="class","capsol"] The icy-colored fox-tail made her way into one of the nearby cafes in the area, one that wasn't necessarily well populated. It was a rather big place, though having only a few customers in at the moment. The scent of coffee and other delicious morning brews could be smelled in the air, as she had opened the door. It was getting a little cold outside, so the hot, refreshing air that surrounded her as soon as she walked in was all that much better. A smile graced its away upon Cel's face, as she strode inside. It was nice to not have to worry about the lance that she usually carried around in here, and it would have been even nicer, except she was a bit cold already. A nice warm cup of coffee would go a mile at this rate, as she walked inside.
She found a place to sit down at one of the booths, noticing a newspaper there for people to read in the meantime. Deciding that she was curious enough to take a look at it and give it a go, she picked it up and started to flick through a few of the pages. It looked to be a Lander-crafted thing, explaining some of the more recent events in the place's history. She had not been very active with all of her journeys as of late, though she did like to see a bit of adventure, wherever it would appear. Realizing that she would soon be quested about a drink or food, she put the newspaper back down, and looked into the menu that was there. A bunch of the food seemed to be rather delicately prepared, and she would love to have a little something in her stomach, as well.
This cafe in particular looked to be a refurbished one, taken over by a few Adventurers who were looking to make a little bit of money. She could tell even more so, due to the fact that the nearby customers all seemed to be Adventurers as well, and they were all quietly drinking or eating by themselves, reading out of something. It wasn't all that much longer until the fox-tail had been approached by one of the workers.
"Well, howdy there, young ma'am." The girl in a uniform said, a smile on her face, and a deep American southern accent about her. She found it rather odd to be greeted by an American-sounding person, in a European server, but she decided not to make a deal about it. "What can I get fer ya?" She asked.
"Ah, yes." The woman responded, in a silky smooth voice. "I was wondering if I could get a cherry-raspberry coffee and perhaps a toasted bagel? Some warm food and drink sounds heavenly to me, on such a dreadfully chilly day." She smiled and giggled, as the waitress wrote it down.
"Sure thing, sugar, it'll be out in just a minute." She said, walking away. Cel made sure to thank the waitress, and started to open up the newspaper again. Some of the articles would prove to be rather interesting, though not a lot caught much of her attention. This was, however, just something to help pass the time while she waited for her order to go through, and then she would be able to eat and drink. The smell of the coffee being blended was a lovely feeling on her nose, and it warmed her up a bit more just thinking about it. She smiled slightly, as she went back to reading.

Kynn made her way to the café that she had been going to regularly. She loved it there since the barista seemed to know psychically what she wanted to order before she even sat down… she remembered ordering at one point, but never quite remembered what she ordered the first time. According to the café-lady, it had been the same thing she ordered every day. She knew the other people that went to the café, and she enjoyed talking to her. They were all Adventurers, some sort of group or something like that. Kynn was also called an “Adventurer,” but she didn’t remember signing any sort of petition or doing any kind of quiz. She had thought maybe it was the label for people who failed the pop quizzes since they didn’t take them. There were also guys called “People of the Land,” and she thought they might have been the guys who passed the test.
Her favorite thing about the café was that the people there didn’t mind that she accidentally broke stuff. Whenever it happened, everyone just kind of laughed and helped her clean it up. Though she remembered that they recently decided to give her less-breakable stuff for her drink and snack so that the mess wasn’t nearly as big.
When Kynn walked in, she looked around. Some of the other people there waved a “hello” to her, and she waved back. She was about to go to her normal seat when she noticed someone was already sitting there. It was a girl with fox ears and even a tail! Kynn suddenly had the urge to go over and pet her, but she thought that could be kind of weird since they didn’t know each other yet.
“Go ahead and take a seat, Sugar,” the café lady said to Kynn, noticing she was there, “I’ll bring your order out in a minute.”
“Thanks!” Kynn replied with a smile. Deciding to check out the new person, Kynn went over to her.
“Hi there,” Kynn said with a smile, standing next to the booth where the fox girl was at, “This is normally where I sit. I’m Kynn, what’s your name?”

It was time for a bit of rest and relaxation, the Shaman and Shikigami duo had concluded together, after a heavy few weeks of working quests and culling monsters. Dorian had gathered up a tidy sum of XP since he first began, and was well on his way in the world of Adventurers; but sometimes one just needed to take a load off, and one of the few ways to do that effectively was a relaxing trip to a local café. The Shaman had spent some time investigating the area already, having been looking out for places to gather more skills in his culinary arts - after all, the best way to learn was to get your hands dirty and cook as much as possible - and so he had already picked out a place. It was a large establishment, at least for a café, and was completely owned, run, and serviced to Adventurers. A great place to stop for tea and biscuits, or coffee if that's what you prefer, and share stories with the other warriors and mages that dotted the town of Londinium. As he stepped on towards the front door, making a light push to slip inside, his dancing feet drawing him in rather silently, Dorian gave the place a once over. He had managed to catch it at a time when it wasn't too busy, something he was thankful for; he wasn't too fond of rowdy crowds that could drag him into unwanted conversation at any given moment, especially when his 'backseat driver' - also known as Skrowe the Shikigami - was a lot more social than himself. Odd, given that Shaman spirit companions were meant to be a reflection of one's inner soul, but Dorian equated it to his deep down desire to get out more and make friends. He had gathered a couple strong friendships since his arrival here, his eyes glancing over his interface towards the slightly filled up friend list that blinked at him menacingly, as if demanding to be fed more names. Shaking off the strange feeling that had shivered down his spine, Dorian made his way gracefully towards the waitress that had stationed herself behind the counter after serving guests, brushing down his attire to make himself look more presentable. He had chosen to stick to a more casual appearance for today, opting not to wear his signature Scarecrow attire and leaving his hefty scythe in his inventory so as to keep himself from carrying it everywhere; besides, it usually wasn't customary to bring a weapon of that size into a café. So, he was merely clothed in navy jeans, grey and white sneakers, a light grey tee with sleeves to his elbows that acted as an undershirt for his red plaid top, the buttons left undone to keep the sides open and apart from one another. "Howdy! What will you be havin' today, mister?" The heavy American accent took the Shaman by surprise for a moment, before he was brought back to answering her question. "Hmmm. I'll just start with a cup of tea. English Breakfast, if you please," he finally replied, his voice drifting out in a soft, calming tone, rather soothing to the ear, his British accent drawing it out even further. The waitress merely gave a nod, scribbling down the order and gesturing for the male to take a seat while he waited. Turning towards the rest of the room, Dorian's eyes were immediately - and somewhat forcibly, on Skrowe's end - towards a nearby table, taken up by two ladies who had just started up a conversation. Dorian, look. Go sit. Go mingle. Go. Go. Go. Skrowe's incessant voice repeated in the Shaman's mind, causing him to give an idle swat towards the back of his head to try and quell the Shikigami's irritating voice. Having been pushed on by his easily excited companion, he drifted over towards the two, a lightness to his step thanks to his Dancer subclass. As he would gently stop beside their table, he gave them both a weak, timid smile before bowing his head, speaking in his same calmed tone. "Would you two ladies mind terribly if I sat with you here?" As he posed them both the question, he gestured toward one of the seats between them, resting his hand delicately atop it's back. One day the dead would rise from the earth and take back the world from the unworthy living. That was not today however, as the only shuffling, zombielike creature in the area was a caffeine addict, attempting to find a place that could understand incomprehensible mumbles and grumbles and blank stares as part of the ordering process. The tiny guardian entered the beautiful establishment slowly, dragging her feet with every step and still clad in her platemail, not one to be bothered with actually buying nice clothes to wear for her day to day wanderings within the city of Londinium. With one eye half closed and the other straining to read from the menu they had up for those who didn't want to sit down and order, Jane tried to flail and gesture to the nice, and remarkably patient, lady who seemed to be manning the orders today. If asked later, she couldn't quite remember much of what the lady said, but she could still remember some degree of random accent envy that cropped up when she thought hard enough.
When she was finally muster up enough brainpower to mumble the word 'coffee?' in much the same inflection that a zombie would ask for brains, she was finally shooed away from the counter, probably to avoid scaring other customers, and stumbled her way into the seating area. Not watching where she was going, Jane walked into more than one adventure and their table, only to get jostled away and stumble off towards another table. It happened a couple of times, probably much to the chagrin and amusement of those affected and watching on respectively, before she was finally put on a collision path that would most likely result in her accidentally pushing one Shaman into a seat at a table, followed by her tumbling into another and slamming her head on the table in a way that could only make those who watched on wonder, if she was bad before, how much worse would that head trauma leave her now.
Jane didn't move, apologise or even think about what she'd just done until someone tried to get her to move. Her head was taking up a large portion of the table that everyone was sitting at, so a rap on the helmet or just a prod at her uncovered face or eye would probably get her focus back, though proper words and thoughts were well beyond the poor crashed guardian. Maybe when the coffee arrived she would be able to keep her eyes open for a few more moments, and her mind would actually be able to process how mortified she was about what had happened. Or maybe she'd just stare into the cup of liquid for ages, slowly sipping at it and ignoring the world around her. Only the eventual coffee could tell.

[attr="class","capsol"] It hadn't been all that much longer, before the fox-tail was spoken to. Her eyes drifted over to the female standing beside the table, mentioning that Cel was sitting in her usual seat, after which having introduced herself. Cel was perplexed by the whole situation. Was it common for someone to walk up to another, just out of the blue like this? Well, if it was, then that's that. As the saying goes, 'When in Rome.' The ice-clad woman looked up and smiled to the girl. "I deeply apologize, and I would be fine to move, if you would like." Placing a hand up to her chest daintily, she continued. "My name is Celsius, though I would very much prefer to go by my nickname, Cel, if you would be so kind." She gave the girl another smile quickly, before another entity moved its way over.
Goodness, she seemed to be popular today. A male had walked over from there, placing a hand on the booth that she was sitting at, and asked to join them. Cel had had her reservations against people suddenly walking and sparking conversation, specifically males, since a lot of the time, that would amount to no good. She had been approached a few times by several boys, and after having turned them down, she would go on to realize that they only seemed interested in her due to them thinking that she would be an easy method of having their little boyish desires realized. Though, that was only a select few people, which she wouldn't hold over someone she didn't know quite yet. Just as she was about to answer, though, something else had happened, causing the whole scene to change.
A shorter girl had walked into the male from before, tumbling into the seat together, though the girl had managed to somehow plant her head into the table. Cel's right hand flew up to her mouth, as a gasp could have been heard from her. "Goodness, dear! Are you all right?" She asked, standing up a bit to look at the girl more clearly. It seemed that she hadn't been paying a whole lot of attention to the world around herself, in some sort of zombified stupor, an had somehow managed to bump into the male just nearby the booth. While the whole thing seemed to be much more amusing than it probably should have been, she couldn't help but hold a smile back, through the sheer willpower of hoping that this girl was okay. However, even that wasn't enough to stop her from giggling a little bit.

The fox-tailed girl said she was sorry and said her name was Celsius or Cel. Her name sounded familiar like from a book she had read while in school. Did that make her someone famous? After a minute, a guy adventurer she hadn’t seen before came over and asked to sit with them. “Sure,” Kynn said with a smile, “I’m Kynn and this is Bell, err, I mean Cel. What’s your name?” Right after Kynn asked that, yet another new person came in. Except this time, she didn’t look alive. Maybe she was one of those coffee zombies her brother told her about. He had said that they were like the “just add water” toys except that it was “just add coffee.”
Kell, er Cel, asked if the new girl was alright, but Kynn didn’t think the question got to her ears. When the café lady asked what she wanted, the girl mumbled something about coffee, but the lady seemed to know what she meant. When the zombie came over though and took a seat, Kynn poked her a few times and giggled.
After a few moments, the café lady came back with everyone’s orders. Nell… er Cel had some sort of fruity coffee and a toasted bagel. The lady brought Kynn her order which the café lady said was mango chai tea and a cinnamon coffee cake with blueberry and mango syrup. The guy was brought what smelled like tea as well, and the zombie was brought just a regular cup of coffee.
What distinctly made the orders different was that hers was not on or in the fancy ceramic cups or plates which she was fine with. Though she had a pretty good feeling at least one of the cups wouldn’t make it back.

Both of the girls seemed to give the Shaman their kind blessing to take a seat, his smile slipping slightly as the infernal Shikigami got what he wanted. Begrudgingly, Dorian made to take a seat within the empty side of the booth, sat across from the two girls, only to feel a harsh bump as an unknown assailant knocked him across and into the designated seat. As he turned his head to look at who had gotten a hit off on him, he spotted another female, her form looking depraved of energy as she slumped down over the table, taking up most of the room. With the one named Celsius asking for her, Dorian quickly shifted towards the slumped form, gently rubbing her back; as was customary when dealing with a person who had lost the energy to move at all. "Rough day, huh?" As the waitress came to take her order, the Shaman lifted his head, making a silent gesture as if to ask for it to be brought quickly, for the new girl's sake. Giving an understanding nod, the waitress zipped off to give their orders. As he continued to nurture and comfort for the poor, drained form that was slumped beside him, he turned his vision towards the two girls sat opposite them in the booth. They had introduced themselves - and by they, I mean she - as Kynn and Cel, though Dorian had a feeling Cel was short for something a bit more flamboyant. Curling his lips into a bemused smile, he gave them both an apologetic nod before finally replying to their greetings. "My apologies for not introducing myself before, but you understand why under the... circumstances," he began, a light chuckle emitting from his lips as he gestured down beside him towards the slumped over girl. "My name is Dorian; it is a pleasure to meet you both." With that, he extended his hand out for a customary and polite handshake, first offering to Cel, and then to Kynn. Once the pleasantries were done, he bent his head down slightly, checking the girl was still alive before resuming his gentle rubs upon her slumped back. Thankfully it wasn't long before orders arrived, Dorian watching as each one was placed on the table, whilst gently lifting the girl's form and sitting her up straight so that room could be made. First, the waitress placed down a toasted bagel - an excellent choice - and a warm mug of what smelled like coffee, a hint of cherry and raspberry catching the idle Chef's nose; a good choice, but unfortunately the Shaman wasn't a big coffee fan. Next, Kynn was served tea, as he soon would be, though hers was a bit more fancy, a whiff of mango gracing Dorian's nostrils. He wasn't making an effort to sniff out ingredients, but being a Chef meant that picking out flavours was rather easy to do. The tea was sided with a cake; cinnamon coffee... with syrup, flavoured with blueberry and mango. As a big fan of mangos himself, Dorian was eager to spark conversation about Kynn's order later. Finally, the table was graced with the smell - which was rather lacklustre compared to the two fancy ensembles already on display - of English Breakfast, and a regular coffee. Setting aside his tea for now, Dorian shifted the coffee to the slumped girl, offering his help for her to take the necessary first sip, where she required it. There wasn't much response from the little blond girl, not even when the patting and head moving occurred. No, the only thing that seemed to draw Jane out of her stupor was a smell. A rich, delicious smell of coffee that wafted into her nose and drew her upwards. Not to a sitting position or anything practical like that, no sir ee, Jane had one thing in mind right now, and that was how much she adored coffee. Slowly but surely she reached out, shaking hands clutching at the cup and lifting it to her face, only for the small girl to start rubbing her cheek on the cup while making a soft cooing sound. All the evidence pointed to the fact that Jane was not okay, not in the slightest, though that was more a mental thing than anything actually wrong with her. A little known fact about coffee in this world, it restored a tiny amount of mana, and if anyone were to take a look at the poor girl's mana bar right now they'd realise just what was wrong. Eventually Jane sat up without assistance, clutching onto her coffee cup and sculling the drink in a way that would result in a scorched throat if they were still in the real world. Instead it just felt like she'd burnt her through for a few moments after, which resulted in a bit of gagging and flailing, before Cedric's mind could resonate with the fact that it was just a feeling and not what was really happening to Jane's body. The sudden rush of clear-headedness and caffeine brought with it an awareness that she was at a table surrounded by people. Surrounded was probably the wrong word really, she was on the outside part of a booth seat by the look of it and everyone around her had a cafe style drink of some sort. The first thought to cross Cedric's mind was to excuse himself and get out of there, as he didn't have much of a clear memory of what brought Jane there, but at that exact moment, as the tiny guardian started to push down on the table to stand up, the smell of food hit her nose. Queue generic stomach sound effect and blush combo while Jane stared intensely at the plate in front of Kynn. "I uh. Hi? Was I here with anyone or did I just, uh. Hi?" Jane had no idea what else to say, she'd just come out of a mental black hole and now found herself surrounded by people, and suspected they'd probably already introduced themselves to her. Though she couldn't confirm. "Did I do something stupid while I wasn't quite one hundred percent here?"W: 455 Celsius @shadowanimelover @serenityspace

[attr="class","capsol"] With all the events currently transpiring, Cel had no idea how exactly to react. The goings on in the current cafe seemed to be just a bit too sporadic for her to make perfect sense of, though the fact that her order had just arrived was enough of a distraction for her to avoid talking with anybody for the moment, and to quell the silently rumbling tummy that she had been forcing under the table a little bit more as people showed up. Having utterly ignored the handshake from the Shaman person, she reached over and took the plate of her bagel and grabbed the mug for her coffee. "Thank you, dear." She said, giving a smile to the waitress, as she began to hand everything out for everybody else at the table. Though, Cel was curious as to how people would eat with a girl laying on the table. She was clothed, don't get the wrong idea.
She took the butter knife that she had been handed, and started to evenly distribute the butter that had come with the dish. Since the bagel itself was still a lovely heat, nice and toasty warm, it was easy for the butter to melt onto it, as she spread it around. Placing butter on the other side of the bagel as well, she put the knife back down onto the plate, and looked at the other three. "If you don't mind me, I'll be eating for just a few moments." She scooted over to the side just a bit, giving Kynn the room to sit down, if she so desired. As she had done so, she lifted up half of the bagel to her mouth, and took a bite out of it. Cel opened up the newspaper before herself once more, flipping it to some of the news articles in there, and began to read silently to herself. She brought the mug to her mouth after a few moments of chewing, and took a sip from the coffee.
"Mmmm...~" A soft sigh could be heard from her, as the coffee had both warmed her up, as well as gave a refreshingly good taste to go along with the bagel that she had just bitten into. She hoped that the people nearby her weren't upset that she had gone back to reading what she was reading beforehand, since that may have her come across as rather rude. However, she didn't really know how to interact with people while she was eating, especially in this world. She found it rather awkward to be eating something in others' faces, while they themselves weren't eating anything. Granted, Cel wasn't the only one who had food here at the table, though it would still be rather rude to start talking ravenously, as she chomped away at the bagel before herself. As such, she brought the food back up to her mouth, bit some more off, and placed the rest down onto the table again. Folding her legs, one over the other, she sipped from the coffee again, as her eyes scanned over the paper longer.

After Cel thanked the café lady, and she scooted over for Kynn to sit, which she did. The guy introduced himself as Dorian, and he helped the zombie girl with drinking some coffee. As soon as she drank some, she seemed to turn from zombie into human, and Kynn giggled at her. “You feel asleep on the table, kind of,” Kynn said, poking the non-zombie girl, “You should recharge your batteries every night by drinking coffee. May help keep you stay un-zombiefied.”
Cel seemed to be more interested in the newspaper than in anyone else which she thought was strange. “So un-zombie person, what’s your name? I’m Kynn.”
Instead of taking a sip of her tea right away, Kynn added four small packages of sugar and stirred it. Then, she took a sip now that it was sweet enough. She moved onto taking a bite of her coffee cake, glancing over at the paper Cel was reading.
“I think that’s the same paper that’s been here for like a while,” Kynn said to Cel, “I dunno how you’re interested in old stuff. Then again, that kind of stuff makes my head spin. Too many words in such a small area. Plus the words are so tiny you almost need a microphone to read it.”
Kynn looked at the other two, “I haven’t seen you guys here before. I’m usually here every day… or at least when I remember. What brings you guys around? Did you hear about how good the coffee cake is?”

Once pleasantries had been shared with the first two ladies, his attention was focused on the new girl, who had thankfully awoken from her stupor after what Dorian assumed was a lack of energy; though in this new world, it was easy to define it as a low mana. Some people could simply gather it up by resting, but others required a bit more oomph to get their MP back to full strength. The girl sat beside him evidently was one of the latter, as her coffee seemed to draw her back to the land of the living. Giving a light chuckle, the Shaman curled his lips into a genuine smile, shifting back to his own side of the booth to give her some breathing room. "Hello there," he offered his voice, replying to the girl as she spoke in her bewilderment. "You weren't here with anyone, you just seemed to stumble in... But you had a mission, I think." He gestured towards the coffee in her hands, giving her an amused grin as he bowed his head in greeting. "I'm Dorian; this is Cel and..." He was cut off as the lively girl opposite them introduced herself, and promptly explained the zombified state the girl had been in. Glancing over towards the fourth member of their conversation - or at least he assumed so - he noticed her keeping her attention upon her reading; evidently she was uncomfortable with speaking while consuming food, but Dorian understood the lack of social comfort when it came to situations like this. Opting to leave her be for now, letting her enjoy her food, he turned to his own dish, reaching to grasp at a few packets of sugar. "Curse my infernal sweet tooth," he mumbled under his breath, only just noticing he had accidentally bumped hands with Kynn; evidently she had gathered the same idea with her own tea. Awkwardly waiting for her to grab what she needed, the Shaman quickly grabbed a few sugar packs of his own, emptying them into the tea and stirring with the spoon he had been provided. Once the sweetener had been dissolved completely into the warm beverage, he lifted it from it's saucer, sipping at it gingerly to savour the delicious taste. Setting aside his drink once more - thanks to the nagging words of his Shikigami to at least attempt to socialise - he turned to Kynn, who had asked of him and the girl sat beside him why they had come to the café. Dorian rubbed at his chin for a moment, giving zombie girl a chance to speak up first before giving his own, thought out reply. "I've been doing a lot of work these past few weeks, been finally getting out into the world to earn some money and experience to my name; this place seemed as good as any to catch some relaxing tunes and refreshing tea." He chuckled at the mention of cake, shaking his head gently. "I'm not really a fan of coffee, too bitter for my taste; I chose this place mainly for the crowd, hearing of it's focus on Adventurers. Looks like I didn't hear wrong, I've met some lovely people, as you three seem to be so far." He gave a gentle bow of his head as he finished his train of thought, once again glancing over at Cel to see if she had joined the social group as he had. "I.. see." was all Jane mumbled in reply to @serenityspace and @shadowanimelover's explanation of her entrance. It wasn't something she was proud of, and not really something she could undo once done, but being good and not losing your mind to mana drain and getting some good sleep were things she didn't normally do. But here she was, at the other end of a day that had been her doing just that, sucking down coffee like it was air. Or was it the other end of a day? That thought was as worrying as the fact she'd just come to semi-consciousness at a table of strangers with no idea if what they were telling her was even real. She had no reason to doubt them but... "Eh? Oh, I'm Jane. Got in niiice and early with my character naming thankfully..." She mumbled, nodding to Kynn and Dorian and not entirely sure if she should say something to the rather withdrawn Celsius. Kynn seemed rather intent on bringing the other girl into the conversation on her own, so Jane just sat back and let the more sociable person be the 'nice guy' for once. It gave her a moment to stare back at the menu to try and get an idea of what she might want to try if the rumbling in her tummy was truly in need of filling. "I guess I've come here a couple of times in the past. If I needed coffee though, it was probably just the closest place I could find" Jane explained, her head turned away from the table so she could get a better look at the menu quite rudely, only turning back when she'd given up on choosing for herself. "I am rather peckish though, what sort of cake would you suggest from here?" she asked the monk curiously. W: 307
