sayinh @bornfromvelvet Lamenta Bailin Sark Icyferno @shadowsaiph Kaos The labyrinth that trailed off from the path designated as C by the Adventurers is a treacherous route. The corridor ahead ends in a large drop ahead and the pathway only becomes all the more narrow. You finally reach a point where there is a sizable gap between where you stand and where you need to go. Such a crevasse is not possible to traverse merely through skills or acrobatics alone. The drop for this point is not so high; you notice that the ground below looks like a layer of soft snow and that a staircase is available for those who may fall the height of a couple meters. It would appear this is but only a sample of what you'll need to accomplish later on. It only seems that this is the easiest point of the route.

If someone in their teens and above were to be asked if they believed in fairy tales, they would have said, "no". Yet, in this world were anything could be real, they fought and were subsequently trapped by a maniacal kidnapper in the form of the legendary wolf of Norse mythology, the prophesied slayer of Odin, Fenrir. Up until this point, they had virtually no information on what was going on. The wolf liked to kidnap children, and now it was dragging Adventurers from their sleep to fight it. Now that it was beat, they were trapped in a cave with no real indication of what to do except the corridors which probably meant that they were supposed to go through them. Since no one knew how deep the corridors went, all of them split up and went their separate ways. Real shame, since if any one group met up with the same [Fenrir] again, then they were going to have a tougher time against it. Then again, going by regular dungeons, the [Fenrir] awaiting them at the end of the line would be stronger than the first time they fought, so splitting up was the worst possible strategy a team could have made, which goes some distance to show that there was no team in the first place. In any case, he was currently following a group through the corridor designated C, comprising of a bunch of random people. On the bright side, there was everything a basic party needed to survive here, so all was well. He did not know who went to which group, nor was it particular important to him, unless all the roads led to the same place and he needed to other people alive and well for one final boss fight. Still, he saw some pretty high levels out there, so it was unlikely that they would go down easily. In the worst case scenario, they would lose in this strange dungeon, and hopefully wake up from it just like the other Adventurers who tried and failed before them. He did not recall them getting this far, though, so he hoped the results of a loss would still be the same. Corridor C was deceptively simple. A wide chasm with a few ice platforms which jutted out of an ice wall. The wall itself was made of a slab of tough, solid ice. Icyferno walked over to the edge, and peered down below. He was greeted by a pure white blanket of snow, and judging by the distance from the bottom to the ledges, he doubted they would take a lot of fall damage, if any. He withdrew his sword, and without a word to the rest of the group, who were busy admiring the scener- uh, observing their surroundings and looking out for minute details, plunged it straight down into the ice. Despite the physical pierce enhancements on the weapon, the sword barely went in a few centimeters - not the kind of length he wanted to put his weight on. So he had to, unfortunately, rule climbing the wall with swords replacing ice picks out. He was willing to bet that the wall at the other end of the chasm was the same, while also ruled out scaling the wall at the end to skip the ledges. It seemed as though the whole point of this area was to hop onto the ice ledges to reach the far side of the chasm, but that was assuming you did not slip and fall while jumping. A more interesting question might have been were they were being led. He doubted they were being led to the same place the children were held... if they had not been eaten by a hungry wolf. For obvious reasons, Icyferno was not willing to be the first to make the jump, preferring to let others take the fall instead. There was probably some trick to getting through the area in one go. He believed that there was probably some small detail he had missed - something which would make this easy. It was a feeling ingrained in him since the days of the Purple Mirror Mansion, and he doubted that it was wrong. The trouble was, of course, finding those hidden clues.
Word count: 712 Total word count (Swashbuckler): 712 x 1.1 = 783.2 Notes: ICly, your character does not know the trick of the 1x1 blocks. Please refrain from mentioning it. For all intents and purposes, the initial assumption should most likely be that it is a jumping game on ice ledges.Tags: sayinh @bornfromvelvet Lamenta Bailin Sark @shadowsaiph Kaos

As Kaos approached the chasm, his Spirit Bushi companion disappeared. Kaos stopped and opened his quick menu. Level 50 now... So our levels are fluctuating as we head through this dungeon. That changes things. He continued walking, noticing that the others were starting to congregate nearby. He stood at the edge and looked around, noticing the freshly fallen, pillow-like powdered snow cover at the bottom of the pit. To his left was several ledges in the ice, all of which looked incredibly unstable, and a small staircase leading back up from the pit. He thought to himself for a minute before having his thoughts disrupted by the sound of metal on ice.
Kaos turned and looked to his left, slightly behind him Icyferno appeared to be testing the ice on the walls. Well it looks like that isn't going to be an option, perhaps there is a trick to these ledges. A labyrinth created by a mystical beast to house the adventurers. It was like the reverse of the Minotaur, the irony of the situation brought a wry smile to Kaos' face. He walked down the steps and looked up from the bottom of the ledges, trying to get more information on the, yet from the bottom there was very little light.
As Kaos stood there, he remembered how his Spirit Bushi had a light source and quickly formulated a hypothesis. With a bright flash of blue and purple, he slid Summoner's Fiend from its sheath strapped to his hip and pressed the tip against the cave wall. A bright white circle emanated from the tip, spreading 2 meters in diameter before stopping. A second circle followed it, stopping half a meter from the first circle; a string of symbols began to appear on the wall of ice between the two rings. Out of the tip of the sword, several line segments slither out, appearing to flow in random directions but come to rest forming the necromancer's symbol. "Come forth fallen warrior and redeem yourself." The white light of the summoning circle dulls and stabilizes before a torch slowly exiting the circle, followed by its wielder: a skeleton warrior, wearing tattered and rusted armor.
With the new light, Kaos was able to study the ledges from below much easier. The ice does seem to have places where it is weaker and stronger but it seems rather sporadic and uneven. He turned to the stairs as he thought of what the purpose of this test might be. "Hey! Whoever is up there and is brave enough... It seems we need to cross this chasm by jumping or climbing across these ledges. I need someone to give it a shot so we can properly test this hypothesis."

The wolf was slain; the day was saved... or was it? Bailin had taken quite the hit from the foul beast, though eventually, with the help of others, they had succeeded into killing it, yet now another issue had arisen. The new issue appeared to be a cavern system of sorts, splitting into three separate hallways. The warden picked the third option, along with some of the familiar amongst the crowd. [break][break]
The party arrived at a particular interesting challenge and it was Kaos who came up with a theory on how to solve it, suggesting someone either jump or climb across the cavern, presumably using the icy platforms to get across. Something had to be off however, or so the warden thought. It would be rather anti-climactic to create a dungeon which lifts people from their dreams, have them fight an epic battle against an oversized beast, only to have them walk, climb or jump across some iced over platforms. Of course this was something the warden would actually have done back home, to give his friends the sense of danger whilst there was none. [break][break]
“Does anyone have rope?” the warden responded to Kaos’s request. “Tie it around my waist and keep me from falling or pull me out of harm’s way.” The warden instructed, pretty much volunteering to go, without knowing full well what he was getting himself into. The worst thing that could happen as far as he could tell was that he’d die slowly and painfully, being squished by some hidden trap, or that he’d slip and fall, which would most likely hurt his image more that it would hurt him physically. “If there is not any rope, memento mori.” Was all the warden said before he moved towards the ledge and peering down. The fall would probably not kill him due to the layer of snow and the thoughtful placement of a ladder. [break][break]
Taking a few steps back the warden took a small sprint and jumped towards the first ledge. [break][break]
Hurtling through the air the warden managed to miss the platform and fall into the soft and gentle embrace of the snow, bits of ice raining down on him as he had only managed to grasp the first part of the icy platform which crumbled under the sudden impact of the warden’s weight. [break][break]
‘Well, that didn’t work.’ He thought as he dusted the snow off of him and climbed the ladder back up, re-joining the party. [break][break]

HP: 91% MP: 100% SKILL USED: N/A LAMENTA bard Everything look smoothly for once. A random group walk passing the corridor which the bard have chosen, there are enough people to survive if there are a beast with the same or almost the same caliber with Fenrir before. However, he assumed it won't be as easy as before, since the whole group is less than a halves from when they gang up Fenrir, it may took long to finish what will awaits them far ahead. It sounds a bit pessimistic at first glance, but it actually what makes Lamenta survive, considering the worst possible case scenario
The corridor C lead a straight path until they find a cliff . In front of them there are several ice slab that it may safe enough to get a footing. He observes what that actually means, if he goes with simplicity, it's like a jumping game sort of thing, where you jump to the platform and cross this crevice.
The young bard gaze to the bottom of the crevice, a thick white snow that thick enough to cushioned their fall. How he know that? easy just now there is a warden just prove it by trying to jump to the platform but failed. He fall beautifully and plant himself to the snow.
So, it isn't your typical every day jumping game, there are sort of tricks behind that platform. Is there any hidden route for us to travel through? Lamenta's examine the nearby wall hoping to found a secret lever or button to connect them to secret passage. But, the goddess of luck isn't on his side now.
Maybe if we can't use our body to prove it, since it will take time, probably we can use our skill to prove it otherwise. He open his menu..
'huh?'
He suddenly got downgrade, now he is level 50, back then when he was fighting Fenrir he is sure that he is level 90. Probably that is how this corridor works, will they got downgrade again later when they journey firther than now, he can't be sure. What he is sure right now is, his doubt about facing the next enemy clears up. It will be much harder to deal with it, if it was the same caliber as Fenrir.
He scroll down on his list of skill, mostly it gives buff to other player such as increasing speed attack and attack power. There is nothing that may serve him to check the platform whatsoever.
'Does anyone here have a skill or weapon that throw a sort of projectile to test out the platform? preferably solid stuffs such as rocks, arrows, etceteras.' He shout to ask for other party assistance,he looks at Kaos. He is half hoping that he might have some trick in his sleeve.
'if anyone have it, please listen to me i have an idea' Lamenta continue to shout hoping for other people gather around him and listen to his crazy idea

Sayha had been the first to enter the third corridor, but she definitely wasn’t the last. As the others arrived, she relocated her focus to the surroundings. She was already well aware of the cliff drop… though now she noticed that it wasn’t extremely deep. A fall would probably hurt but not kill anyone. Along the wall were… ledges of sorts. They seemed to be okay sizes though the secret would be figuring out how to get across them. She turned to the group, wondering what the plan was.
She noticed the Swashbuckler in the group stab his sword into the ice, and it didn’t get very deep. There was no way to climb across that way. Then the Summoner spoke up, explaining that he had an idea on how to cross the chasm… though he was incredibly vague. Then a familiar face spoke up. It was Bailin, a Warden that Sayha had now met a few times. He had gone with Kaos’s plan and ran forward, trying to grab the first ledge. However, he missed it and fell down into the snow below. Then the bard yelled out, saying he had an idea.
“And now we have two people with ideas. Good for you, but you’re not doing us any good,” Sayha said to the two, making sure they would be able to hear her, “If you have a plan, you should explain it. Just giving us obscure requests won’t be helping us.”
Sayha turned and looked back at the platforms. She still had her scythe out which was what she needed. It was long enough that if she held one end near one of the blades she would be able to tap the top of the platform in front of them. However, the problem was that Sayha was not quite tall enough to jump up onto the platform… though she could possibly grab it with her hands.
First things first though, she hit the switch on her scythe that turned it into dual-kama mode with the chain connecting the two kama. With one kama in her left hand, she grabbed the chain near the other kama with her right. She swung the chain in a circle until the kama was going fairly fast. Then she aimed the kama at the ledge. The kama hit the ledge but it didn’t catch like Sayha wanted it to and it came back to her. She caught it in her hand and tried again. This time it caught, and Sayha gave it a hard tug. It wasn’t going anywhere. She used the chain to climb up and grab the first part of the ledge. However, there was no place to grab onto and she couldn’t get her footing so she fell into the chasm, hitting the snow below. Once she stood up and swiped the snow off of her, she put her kamas into her inventory and climbed up the ladder to the top.
Once she was at the top, Sayha studied the platform. The way it felt with the snow and the ladder was that this was designed at some point to be part of the game. So she had to think of it like a game. What came to mind were jumping puzzles, parlour courses… one of the most annoying aspects she found in one of the MMO games she played for a while. The lower leveled ones were fairly easy, but the higher leveled and hidden ones were convoluted… some of which had blinking lights so you couldn’t see where you were going and poles you had to jump on and hit the exact center of else you would miss entirely. Taking that into account, it meant that the puzzle was going to be harder than it looked. “So I think it’s safe to say that the entire platform isn’t safe to land on…” Sayha finally spoke again, “Which means that we’re going to have to figure out where it’s safe to land before moving onto the next. I have ink we can use to mark the safe areas though I don’t have enough to give to each person for if they land on the platform. Anyone have any other suggestions on how to mark the platforms?”

Kaos watches as Bailin answers the call and makes his jump, barely reaching the ice ledge, and taking a chunk off with him as he fell. He his a lighter section of ice... that must mean it is weaker. He looked at the first ledge and saw a slightly darker section in the ice, however he couldn't tell if it was due to strength or just plain thickness. He reached down to help the warden up. "It's been a while, Bailin. Good to see you." He said before hearing the a young woman complain about being left in the dark over his plan. Rule 1: Never tell a person they are a guinea pig in your experiment. Well, let's see if she still attempts the jump and we will go from there. Sure enough, she attempted the jump by using her kama in a similar fashion to a grappling hook. He smirked as she soon joined him and Bailin down in the snow. She quickly went back up to the top of the stairs and asking for any other ideas. "You have ink? I can see a few sections in the ice that seem stronger, at least from down here. It would be possible to mark the correct locations but with a limited supply of ink I think we should make sure my hypothesis is right or wrong before proceeding to mark the ice. However, once we figure out where the safe footholds are, I can summon a sylph that can fly over to the ice with your ink."He walked back up to join the others and walked past Sayha as he spoke. "I guess it's only fair I give it an attempt as well..." He turned and sprinted towards the edge before jumping at the last possible second. He soared through the air, pulling his legs close to his chest, in an attempt to land smoothly on the ledge. His attempt failed spectacularly. As his feet hit the top of the ice ledge, they slid out from under him and he fell onto his back. He lay there stunned for a minute before the ice cracked and broke underneath him, causing him to fall into the powdery snow below in poof of white. He lay there, momentarily stunned, staring up at the ceiling. This jump is hard. We may need something to give us in advantage. He sat up and brushed off the snow. "Any ideas on how we can cover more distance with a jump? The center of the ledge, logically, should be stronger. However, this being a game... I guess anything is possible."He stood up and walked back over to his summoned, torch-bearing, skeleton. Rubbing his back he looked up at the ledge, noticing he overshot the center of the first ledge. He bit down on his thumb as he studied the now severely broken ledge. Moving past this first ledge is going to be an issue if we can barely jump to the first one. To make it worse... let's assume only one meter of ice is safe to stay on without breaking, that means we have to ensure we don't slip off it.

Bailin and Sark travelled deeper into the 3rd, Cliffside tunnel. The large cavern they had fought the wolf in slowly dwindled down, its walls encroaching more and more on Sark's vision. The cold seemed deeper and denser too, pressing down on Sark like an invisible layer. Goosebumps cloaked his exposed flesh, but he pushed the sensation aside. Mostly because Sark continued to prattle on to the guild master that was marching alongside him. He wasn't sure if the other man was listening, as the warden kept a steady pace going and wasn't even nodding along. "...And that's why I don't like cricket." Sark concluded . Bailin didn't even blink, making Sark pout. The man was clearly off in his own world, no doubt worrying about the potential hazards that could be found in an environment like this. The tailor slowed his pace, letting the other man draw ahead. This gave Sark the chance to notice the change that had happened to his own body; sometime since the last room he had passed into a new Game Zone, and his buffed stats had reduced down. His musculature had lost its definition, though he was still noticeably more bulky than he was used to. That in part would explain why he was feeling the cold more as well, as his body's natural resistance to the elements had decreased. After a surreptitious glance around he also peeked down his trousers. Yep, much like his level that had also shrunk. With an overdramatic sigh he returned to the present. Half a dozen people were milling around the edge of a cliff, where beyond there was series of oddly shaped platforms that seemed the only way across. Sark was just in time to see someone in a black Labcoat try to make the jump, over calculate and fall over the farside of the platform. A shower of ice shards followed the man down. Sark took one final glance at the obstacle, and smile. "Ace Move: Airship!" The powdered snow was kicked up into tight swirls as wind-element mana began to swirl and coalesce about the samurai. The whipping winds spun down, growing fiercer until they cloaked each of Sark's shins in semi-visible tornadoes. He was lifted off the ground, his feet floating a few inches above the soft snow. With a brash smile he kicked off, running down the slope towards the cliff. As he neared the warrior bent forward, speeding up further. Just before the lip he leapt, throwing his arms high for the extra lift. He soared; his jumping further boosted by his Acrobat subclass he had taken all those years ago. "Aw yeah!" He landed on the first platform, spinning about like an iceskater who had just completed a particularly impressive move. "Tada! Come on guys, this is easy!"Samurai:________32 Tailor:__________ 36 Acrobat:________01

Part one Work smarter, not harder. Scroll within the box As Sayinh kept walking, Katarina came running after just a couple of seconds followed by Lamenta. As they walked towards the corridor, the Guardian saw the small group of people already progressing. -I’ve got to think this one though. -, he thought, as he looked at one of characters pull herself upwards, in a Kama. Close to the top of the ice block, she gave up, and let herself fall into the pit. One of the guys, Bailin, tried jumping… it didn’t end successfully.
Sayinh sat down, up against a wall, looking down in the pit. It was covered in a soft pillow of snow, sparkling whenever someone fell into it. Making the pit look like one of those transparent, snowy Christmas balls. Shortly after Bailin had fallen, a Samurai named Sark jumped up upon the first block as if it was nothing. - This could become time consuming. It seems almost too easy to be real. -, he thought. When he suddenly realized. “Guys!, Sayinh said with a slight sigh. “This is just a sneak peek on what comes next.. It’s way too easy otherwise. Maybe we shouldn’t focus on the wall. Maybe should think of an easier, faster way across the pit! Sayha! Can you melt the snow on the back half if the pit? I want to be aware if there is traps.”, he said, as he climbed down the ladder.
Slowly moving forward, he kept looking for traps. He could never know! “Kat, can you join me here?”, he yelled towards the group of people staring at him.
Close to the end of the chasm, he stumbled on a stone in the ground, but quickly regained balance, though he gave out a quiet yelp before getting up straight again, and continued his previous action. He activated the skill; Armor Crash, whilst taking out dozen of Kunai from his inventory. Having them move at ultrasonic speed, made them ‘sharper’. He threw them with super accuracy, making a staircase in the ice. Sayinh had already seen Icyferno trying to pick his rapier into the ice, and fail. The only reason why it worked for Sayinh, was because of Armor Crash. “Can you walk up this?”, he said with a reassuring smile towards Katarina, hoping the Kunai’s would stay in the ice, and not glide out. 'A Bard, a Cleric and a Guardian, exploring a dungeon together. How did I get into this situation?' Kat thought to herself, her eyes fixated on the other two members in her motley crew. She hugged her tail nervously. She really didn't trust "Bunny Lord" over there to keep his hands to himself. Eventually, the trio reached a wide chasm with a few icy platforms jutting out of the wall. It was deceptively simple what they had to do: Jump from platform to platform in order to reach the other side. It didn't seem like it was a very easy jump to make; a fact proven true by a Warden missing the platform and hitting the snow below. Lamenta, after spending a couple of minutes in his skill list, shouted for everyone to listen to him and that he had an idea. Kat heard a familiar voice sigh in exasperation. It was Sayha, one of the people she had met when Dumah had his little moment with Adolf. She, after telling Lamenta and another adventurer off, grabbed her scythe… which was also two dual wieldable kamas. Okay then. 'Don’t question it Joel, it’s a dream after all…' Sayha tried to get across by using her kamas as a makeshift grappling hook of sorts, climbing across the chain that connected the two weapons. Suffice to say, it didn't work. Sighing, Kat walked over to Sayinh, who seemed to be mulling over how to get across the chasm. "If you’ve got any ideas, I’d like to hear them." Kat muttered, glancing over to see the occasional person attempt to jump. Only one person had successfully made the jump so far, and he still had about six jumps to go. This... may take some time. Sayinh began to speak, saying how they should try to find a faster way to get across the pit, since this was obviously not the only time they’re going to be doing something like this. "Well, he has a point." Kat muttered as the Guardian climbed down the ladder and walked towards the other side of the gap. He asked Kat to come join him, and with no better ideas that she could think of, she went over to join him. Sayinh grabbed some kunai from his coat pocket- 'It's just a dream, Kat, don't ask why he keeps kunai knives in his coat...' -and activated Armor Crash, which let him throw them into the wall. Kat realised what he was trying to do: He was making a staircase in the ice. Which seemed all well and good, but that staircase… well, it didn't look like it would last, that was the nicest way Kat could put it. Unfortunately, instead of attempting to walk up himself, he turned to Kat and asked her to do it. "I just want to throw this out there: I have zero faith in this working." she stated flatly. "That said, let’s do this thing." With that, she started walking. It felt just as unstable as it looked, but it was working! It was working- 'Oh goddammit.' That was the only thought going through her mind as the Kunai slid out of the ice, causing Kat to go plummeting to the ground. "Okay," she started, dusting the snow off of her coat. "well, that didn't work." Picking up the fallen Kunai off the ground, Kat passed it to the Guardian before climbing back up the ladder.

So, things happened. Firstly, after his initial ice testing scene, there was a Summoner by the name of Kaos who summoned a skeleton warrior. Not a bad plan, they could use the skeleton to test the ledges for them instead. However, it seemed that the summoner only wanted to use the light from the torch of the skeleton warrior to examine the ledge. He then boldly declared that he needed a test subject to jump to test a hypothesis, which was strange in itself. Why not just get the warrior to jump? It could not have been that much heavier or that much lighter than the rest of them. Okay, maybe the Guardian would be heavier, but he was sure that the armor worn by the skeleton would be able to make up for the weight of their flesh and organs. Maybe there was some intimate, scandalous relationship Kaos shared with the skeleton? Perhaps. That would make him a necrophilia though. Heck, he did not even say what he wanted to test. Perhaps someone would have been able to solve it without testing. More stupid was that no one questioned it, and a Warden jumped without hesitation. As he watched, the ice broke under the Warden's weight, and he fell down to the snow below. The damage taken from the fall was minimal, as Icyferno suspected, thanks to the blanket of pure white snow, which now had a Warden shape plastered on it and footprints leading to the way back up as the Warden returned to the start point. Perhaps they needed to reduce their weight by equipping some street clothes and going across? It would be really cold though, and there was no guarantee that they would not slip and fall anyway. Upon the return of the Warden, a Bard then proclaimed that he had an idea, but for some reason deemed it necessary to try and get the entire group's attention to release his idea to all of them. Not happening, since most of them probably did not know each other except for a few pairs here and there. And finally, someone finally pointed out that they should be explaining themselves! Props to the Assassin Sayha, possibly one of the people he could trust to come up with a solution to their predicament. She, too, attempted the jump, using her kamas to latch onto the ledge and climbing up, but failing due to the slippery nature of the ice. As expected, the surface was a problem as welll, he thought. She then explained her thought process and asked for suggestions, which would technically be a que for the Bard to make his move. But no, it did not happen. Sad faces all around. Kaos finally does the jump, without explaining his hypothesis, and slips off the ledge. At least it did not break, though, so maybe they should remember that spot. Sark the Samurai was next, and he used his class skills to land on the same spot, but did not slip. So there was a strong part on the ledge. But would they have the time to clear all the ledges like that? His answer came in the form of a Guardian who, for some reason, had kunais which he imbued with [Armor Crash] to plunge the blade deeper into the ice wall, but this time on the other side, at the bottom of the wall leading to the exit. He then asked a Cleric by the name of Katarina, a small person, to make the climb. Sound strategy, but it appeared that even with the skill, they could not get up, for the blade fell out halfway and the poor girl fell down and into the ground. At least catch her...So it seems they were up against a wall again (literally), with the only choice seemingly being to keep falling onto the snow below until they got the strong points down, assuming they did not slip and slide. Obviously, none of them had spikes on their shoes, so this was a big problem. The distance to the top was not particularly high though. Could they make a summon ladder to the top? It would have to depend on Kaos though, who has yet to share the hypothesis and the answer to the hypothesis which he had sought. He guessed he had to chip in to help them move forward. " Kaos, is there any summon that can throw us up, one by one? Or a summon or two which would be tall enough to climb to the top?" Even if the distance was not enough, he could probably cover the rest with [Fold Step]. The issue would of course be the rest of them, especially the bulky Guardian. Since the design was this simple, it should not be too difficult to circumvent the main challenge of the room. Innovation is often rewarded in many cases. He doubted this would be all of it, though.

HP: 91% MP: 100% SKILL USED: N/A LAMENTA bard What a bummer, no one actually try to listen to me. Not surprise here, why would they want to a young bard and to stranger at the top of that. Well, it doesn't matter... One of his goal of this 'crazy idea' of his already in effect, in fact he was hoping for no one pay any attention to his request.
Everyone here probably though that he was going to ask for an assistance to figuring out the trick of the platform. Gradually some of them tried to do it not by blindly jump, they do a different approach they could exploit. The assassin tried poke the platform with her scythe which make some part of it crumbled, Kaos mentioning abut a sort of ink and Sayinh the guardians he followed try to climb using the 'magical' kunai which result Kat fall from the attempt. Oh did i say Kat putting her guard up? It's clearly noticeable that she is putting up her guard. It make me hurt a little bit, yeah i may be a bit -- Okay maybe not a bit, but have a consider an amount of obsession towards bunny / fluffy things (hey, fluffy things is justice and Bunny is a lord and savior, i have my own reason). But that doesn't mean he will touch every fluffy things that he encounter. He has this so-called self restrain.
'....well the real reason is that if i make her resent me, i can't have my daily dose of fluffy things at least on my sight...' he though it for a moment and carefully not let it slip out from his expressions. He don't want anyone notice his current feeling.
From every attempt, Lamenta has conclude several things; not all of the spot in the platform has a foothold, so either there is a special area somewhere on the platform, or there is another way from jumping to the ice slab For the second it has been suggested by Sayinh and the newest idea from the swashbuckler hoping he could ask an assistance from Kaos to summon a sort of huge beast so us can climb up.
However, without any warning there is someone who look like has a bit loose screw on his head jump blindly using his skills. Well, maybe he has strange logic like he will succeeded by learning from failure experience or he blindly trust his luck, not he can rebut that though. Fortunately the spirit of luck is on his side, he manage to land on the correct spot. With style at the top of that, i must admit it, it was splendidly done.
He announce it giddily. lamenta's tried to imagine the platform, after the ice slab got crumbled in half due to the assassin attempt, the spot which he stands now probably right a the center of the platform. Is it safe to assume it is like that for every platform? Well..it won't hurt to try i guess...
Lamenta's take a step back to take his start on his leap of faith. He run to gain speed, two-step before the cliff he leap to the samurai platform,
'Hopping like a bunny hop.. ' while he leap he sings that, at the last 'hop' part he safely land on the first platform. without any pause he jump again with his one leg and swing the other one to gain additional momentum. At that time Lamenta feels like he was flying
Unfortunately, when he land on the second the spot he was landing crumbling, he was in panic enough to reach out his hand blindly. He safely hold the strong part, it left him hanging like a coat rack, nothing he can do.
He tried to lift all of his body to the platform, but no use.. His arm is not strong enough to do so. Should he release his grip or hang in there, if he hang in there he can be that sort of 'ink' which Kaos mention before for the second platform.
'...erm..help, i guess, i am hanging like a coat rack here if you are wondering.. Be fast before i fell down, i can't hold much longer' He hope Sayinh or Kat sees him and give him an assistance or at least anyone else that kind enough to help him out.

After Sayha spoke up, the summoner who initially spoke up talked, saying that he could have one of his summons mark the spots with ink. Sayha nodded and opened her inventory interface, withdrawing two bottles of ink. She tossed them in the summoner, Kaos’s direction. Whether he caught them or not didn’t matter as there was soft snow by where he had been standing. The interesting part was that he tried to run and jump on a platform next… and he missed. Not much of a surprise.
The next person to try was another familiar face to Sayha. It was Sark, a tailor and samurai who she had adventured with before… and he had also made the coat that she was wearing at that point in time. He used one of his skills and jumped up on the first platform easily. Sayha couldn’t help but smirk at the samurai. He definitely was full of energy which was just who he was…
Then two others decided to go at it together… one of them she vaguely remembered. It was the fox-girl that she had met way back when she did her first quest with Dumah and Fletcher. She didn’t particularly trust the fox-girl… she had an undying loyalty to someone she wanted to push over a cliff and there was just something off about her. The guardian, though, she didn’t recognize though her interface told her his name was Sayinh.
The swashbuckler finally spoke up after the two of them fell. He asked the summoner if he had something he could summon that could throw people further. Right after that, the bunny bard who had said he had a plan jumped… he made it to the first platform but was now dangling from the second platform. Sayha rolled her eyes at him. He didn’t have the strength to pull himself up.
Sayha, after watching the others, had come up with her way to get across… or at least up on the first and second platforms. She hit the switch on her kama which pulled the chain between the two together and reformed the scythe. After taking quite a few steps backwards from the ledge, Sayha ran at the ledge. Just before she reached the edge, Sayha used her scythe like a pole vault and vaulted herself up to the first ledge. Because of her movement speed, she ended up not being able to stop and jumped down to the second ledge where she was able to catch her balance. She dismissed her scythe into her inventory and knelt down slightly. She grabbed bard bunny’s arms and pulled him so that his upper body was on the ice.
“I suggest visiting a gym when this is over,” Sayha said to him quietly.
Once he was secured, Sayha turned to the starting point, “Hey, summoner, mark these places!”
Then Sayha looked at the third ledge. Since she made it that far, it was worth a shot. Sayha picked a location to jump and then jumped. It was lower than the other two ledges so she had no problem reaching it… and she landed on the solid ground. The next ledge, however, was higher than she was… and besides, she wanted to make sure that every place was marked before moving on. After all, that had been her own idea.

Kaos smiles to himself as he picks up the ink bottles Sayha threw his way earlier. I probably should've waited a bit longer... He rested his hand on the hilt of his sword, a pale blue summoning circle appearing on the back of his hand. The circle burst into the air in a bright flash of light before dissipating as a small sylph appeared in its place. "Hello Meister Kaos~! What can I help you with today?" Kaos held up the ink bottle and handed it to the Sylph. "Mark all the strengthened pieces of ice, they appear darker and slightly white-blue in the torchlight. If you need me to, I can point them out to you."
The Sylph shook her had and flew off to the first ledge where she dipped her arm into the ink bottle and drew a line across the center of the ledge. She then flew to the second and marked it in the same way. Once she reached the end she flew back to Kaos. "I finished the task for you~. The lines look good to me but they are the size of my tiny arm. I can make them bigger for you though if you have more ink." Kaos handed the sylph the second bottle Sayha gave him and smiled. "Make it count, Sylph the unicorn is going to need those lines to aim at as it jumps across."
Kaos walks up to the top of the stairs and stand a few meters back from the edge. He puts a closed fist over his heart and closes his eyes to concentrate before drawing his hand away from his body. As his hand draws away from his chest a silver strand exits his chest, following his hand. He then draws a summoning circle in the air in front of him that, once completed, he pushes into the ground. As the circle hits the ground, it splashes apart and a large white unicorn rises out of the silvery wave. The unicorn stands in front of Kaos, stamping its hoof on the ground as it waits for instruction. "Hello my friend. My companions and I require your assistance. Ahead of us are several ledges made of ice, all of which have a strong point on them which Sylph has marked for you. Would you be willing to help us reach the other side?" The unicorn nodded its head and let out a short puff as if agreeing to the summoner's request.
Sylph flew back to Kaos and sat on his shoulder. "All done Meister~! I did the best I could and used all the ink you gave me." Kaos pat her head and smiled. "Thank you Sylph, you may head back now." He sent her away in a flash of blue light before climbing on the back of his Unicorn and racing to the edge. The unicorn jumped, covering two ledges in one jump, its front hooves landing just before the black lines Sylph had drawn on the ice. Upon landing the unicorn slid forward as its momentum carried it forward until its back hooves came down it leaped again. This time the unicorn was only able to cover one ledge as its back legs hit the slippery surface below, skewing its trajectory as it once again aimed for the black lines on the ice. The unicorn landed and came to rest on the forth ledge after digging its hooves into the ledge to prevent itself from sliding any further. Unable to progress further, Kaos dismounted and pet the unicorn softly before sending it back to the others.
"Okay everybody, here is the plan: I can see the other side from here. If we can all get here then I can use my remaining MP to cast 'Black Curtain' which will open up a instant pathway to the other side. The drawback is that I can only maintain the Unicorn for another 15 seconds and still have enough MP to cast it. After 15 seconds, you are on your own as all my summons will de-spawn. The other down side is that I will only be able to keep the Black Curtain up for 5 seconds after it is summoned as well. Time is of the utmost importance right now, so please hurry. One VERY important detail: Treat my summons with dignity and respect and they will aid you, do otherwise and they may very well choose to turn on you and I will be powerless to help you. This is your one AND ONLY warning."

HP: 91% MP: 100% SKILL USED: N/A LAMENTA bard 'thanks for the help' he express his gratitude after Sayha pull him up, he pat his jeans and crackle her tired arm from all that hanging. It would be suck for him if he fell down and repeat it. The assassin suggest him to go to the gym after this, that might be a good idea, however is there any gym in Elder Tales to begin with? Or could it increase your body strength? Well he could figure it out later.
The assassin didn't waste her time by answering my gratitude, she jumps to the next platform and safely landed, He thought for a moment, it's better for him to sit down a bit for a while letting his leg hang on the edge of the rock and collect back all his remaining stamina. He isn't much an athlete in the real world to begin with.
He looks at everyone, everyone has their different skill and capabilities yet the progress of finishing this is direly slow. Why not Kaos summon his mythical beast, the freaking kraken who rampage on the earlier room, we can climb through it sucker. I believe that kraken is high enough to reach the other wall exit. He don't know what, but there is something hold him back, he is not sure.
It's a bit obvious all of people here is too eager to finish this thing quickly and forgot to slow their pace a little bit to see the bigger picture. The snow is beautiful, and looks so realistic he can't believe that he was in a dream if he didn't see his level status. Suddenly, Kaos announce his idea, the best idea so far, a slyph fly marking the ledge and he offers to open a portal which is amusing for Lamenta. Kaos pass him while he ride the majestic unicorn of his, he looks like a knight from his perspective which is nice.He looks around and he is positive there should be no enemies in sight. That gives him an idea;
He takes out his chinese dizi bamboo flute, he licks his lips and put it on his lips. A beautiful soft tune echoes around the corridor, the tempo is invigorating like it was trying to tell a story a knight comes to save his princess. Since he was a child he loves reading the story of the pied piper of Hamelin who captivate all children in the village with joy. He want to spread his eagerness to finish this sickening corridor faster, he had enough with this corridor. He should be in a dream, so why he can't get a good dream, is that too much for him. He grumbled a lot in his mind, yet he can't do anything so all he need to do now is to finish as soon as he could and get the glory after this. If he didn't get anything out of this, he would be furious. As he though about it and plays his side blown flute he jumps to the third ledge and land safely next to Sayha.
He still doesn't know wether Kaos' plan will work, in fact he doubts it. He decide to sit down on the third ledge and stop the music for a while.
'Come on guys, it's worth to try i think' As he finishes the encouragement he continues his play. Deep inside he thinks other scenario if this plan of his isn't working at all. He can rudely step on Sayha shoulder and apologize later and help her to get across to the 4th ledge in any way. That might be a good backup plan. Now it's time for him to wait until Kaos do his action or deliver a bad news which will be resulted to equivalent of 'boo' but harsher from the young bard.

Let me make it up to you Scroll within the box Crawling back up the ladder, he started to feel very guilty. Guilty of not catching Katarina, when he was the one making her walk up that unstable staircase made of kunais. As the Guardian got up, he met with all the others. Looking slightly into the ground, he spotted Kat, and placed himself beside her, still looking down into the ground. “Sorry.”, he very vaguely said, as he looked towards her feet. “Sorry That I didn’t catch you, when you fell.”, he was ashamed of himself.
Sayinh didn’t get to say anything even another word, before Lamenta leapt towards the second platform, and made it… Well… sort of. He made it to the point of which he hung from the side, asking for help. Sayha came to the rescue, moving from the base point, where they all stood, to the top of the second platform, in no time. Sayinh got on happier thoughts as he thought, - Progress! Hmm, how would I get past this, it’s like twice my size! -. The Summoner, summoned a Sylph, marking the safe spots. Following the Sylph with great care, Sayinh had a clear vision of what was stable, and what was not.
The Guardian didn’t even get time to make a plan, before the Summoner once more made a summon. This time it was a white unicorn. He got on the back of the mystical creature, and it shortly after jumped across to the second platform, but quickly moving towards the fourth, where it stopped. Being unable to move further with the help of the unicorn, he sent it back as a helping hand. Before anyone was able to get on it’s back, the Summoner stated that he could only maintain the beautiful summon for about 15 seconds. Another important note, was that the summons demanded respect, not that Sayinh had any problem with it.
As the unicorn landed back at the base point, Sayinh grabbed Katarina’s wrist and pulled her with him towards the magical creature. As they stood before the unicorn, Sayinh bowed whilst formally asking. “Would you accompany us towards your master, my friend?”.
The unicorn made a slight nod, as if it understood him. Nevertheless, he got on the back of the majestic, proud creature, and offered Katarina a hand, to help her get up. “Let me make it up to you.”, he said whilst making a reassuring smile towards her.

Once Kat had reached the top of the cliff, she looked over the wall again. So far, it seemed like without any doubt the best way to get across was just by doing it normally. Which really, really sucked because the only person to have made a jump properly thus far was the Samurai, Sark, and from what Kat could see with her Evaluate skill Sark had the "Acrobat" subclass. He's not going to have much trouble with this route. Lucky bastard. 'Well, no time like the present.' Kat thought to herself, getting ready to attempt the jump. 'Let's do this thing.' Okay... One, two, th-!"Sorry." Oh goddamnit, what now? Kat turned to face Sayinh, who seemed to be very interested in the floor beneath her. Seriously, he looked depressed. Softly, he apologised once more for not being there to catch her when she fell off the kunai. Kat raised an eyebrow. Really? This was weighing down on him that much? The fact that she fell into a pile of soft snow? She didn't even take any fall damage for crying out loud, it wasn't that big of a deal!"Um, Say..." she begun, looking at her with a raised eyebrow. "it really doesn't matter... I mean, I didn't take any fall damage, so it really doesn't matter whether or not you caught me." she said honestly.'Honestly, if you caught me, that'd probably just lead to way to much embarrassment on my part. I'm almost glad you didn't.' Kat made sure that last part was left unspoken. She didn't want to rule out any possibility of Say actually catching her, after all, she didn't know what future puzzles would entail.
Unfortunately, Sayinh seemed to have missed what Kat said, his attention instead focused on "Bunny Lord III"'s epic blunders at platform 2. Surprisingly, Lamenta had made it! Well, Lamenta had technically made it, he was on the platform, just not on the platform. The Bard was currently dangling off the side of the platform, holding on for dear life. An impressive feat, considering it was a solid block of ice he was grabbing. Luckily for him, Sayha got to the second platform and was there to pull the sorry bloke up. Well, it was progress at least.
The summoner in the area, Kaos, summoned a Sylph, which he ordered to mark all of the safe parts of the ice. Why he didn't do this before now was anyone's guess, but Kat wasn't about to complain. Perhaps he simply wanted to save ink? Kaos didn't waste any time before drawing another summoning circle, causing a brilliant white unicorn to appear. Hopping on his mount, Kaos had it ferry him to the second platform, then the third platform, and then finally the fourth platform where it stopped and let him off. Kat pondered why the man never thought to try that earlier, but stopped thinking about it when she realised that the unicorn was coming her way.
Kaos yelled out his plan. He was going to use his Black Curtain skill to open up a gateway to the other side. "Now we're thinking with portals..." Kat muttered under her breath. In truth, she was happy that they finally seemed to have a plan that'd work.
Then Kaos got to the downsides.
Kat froze. 'Fifteen seconds!?' Well now, this was certainly going to be a hectic 15 seconds then. Could the unicorn even ferry them all to Kaos' position in 15 seconds? Well, she hoped so. Kaos went on to say that he could only maintain the Black Curtain skill for a maximum of 5 seconds. Well great, this keeps getting better and better!
Kat would be lying if she said she wasn't panicking slightly as the unicorn reached home base. Apparently she had to "treat his summons with respect and dignity". That could mean many a thing. Respect and dignity are somewhat vague terms. What, was she supposed to take the unicorn out to dinner first or something?
Sayinh grabbed Kat by the wrist and rushed over to the magical creature. Sayinh, being the classy sod he is, bowed politely and formally requested that the unicorn accompany the duo towards it's master. Kat stayed silent. Sayinh obviously knew what he was doing, she'd leave him be. 'Leave anything involving being nice to this guy. If you want a sarcastic quip or two, then come find me.'
Nodding slightly, the unicorn let Sayinh onto its back, offering a hand to Kat in an attempt to make up for the fact that he let her fall. Again, Kat really didn't care, but she didn't feel like it was appropriate to mention that fact. She uttered a quick thanks before climbing on the majestic beast herself. 'Alrighty then, take me to your leader.'

Oh, so he was getting ignored? Okay. He guessed each of them had their own plans hatching in their minds, the metaphorical light bulbs over their heads shining brightly as more than enough electricity to power a light bulb surged through their digital brains. Could their brains still generate electric signals here? It was most likely still the case, for what else would the brain run on? Magic? People were trying the old fashioned way again, the way the creator of the area probably intended for it to be cleared. The Bard got to the second ledge, technically, but Sayha had to help him up since he was dangling from the ledge, hanging on with his one Adventurer arm. She then proceeded to the third ledge, surprisingly getting it right on the first try although she sunk in quite a fair bit. The issue would be the fourth and fifth step though, since the fourth was significantly higher than the third and the fifth was pretty much at the ceiling. He might be able to get to the fourth with [Fold Step], but he would personally destroy the fifth one and attempt to cross to the sixth immediately. Kaos took this opportunity to mark the ledges with a bit of ink, the design of which he could not see from where he was standing, then summoned a unicorn, which was kind of a bad option. Would a horse's hooves not prove particularly bad on the slippery ice? Unless it could fly, it did not look like it would work. Still, he was willing to let Kaos explain his rationale. Perhaps there was something he had missed which would prove vital to clearing this quickly. For some reason, unicorns could walk on ice! Amazing! He had never seen or heard anything about how a unicorn could ignore terrain! He watched on as Kaos and the unicorn defied what he knew, challenging the very fabric of the universe itself, threatening to bring upon them a new age the likes of which would challenge their very existence on this plane, a possible route to free themselves of this place they now called home, but at what cost? Perhaps their sanity. How did it occur? Perhaps a distortion in space? Or manipulation of friction? No matter how it happened, the revelation was terrifyingly huge, as a mount ignoring terrain meant that it could cross any ground. A Summoner would no longer need a mount: He or she had the best land mount available right in their skill list, just waiting to be used. Like a horse leaping from soil, it landed splendidly on the ledge, and in one fluid motion, kicked off to reach the fourth ledge, where it was stopped by the height of the fifth ledge. Kaos then sent the unicorn back to them, presumably to pick up more people, and then went on to say that the unicorn will be active for 15 seconds. Fifteen. Seconds. It was quite obvious not all of them were going to make it in time, leaving behind some stragglers to fend for themselves. He did not even need to do the math. He had not paid much attention to Summoner skills so he knew little about it, but if [Black Curtain] worked as advertised, then they could proceed past the fifth and sixth ledge without issue. Getting to the third ledge was a downhill jump; not particularly difficult if you knew what you were doing. Since he lacked the fundamental omnipotence of a Summoner, he needed to take into consideration the lack of friction between him and the ice. Sure, it was not completely smooth, but ice was slippery. The safest way to get across would be to leap while applying force to the edge of whatever piece of ice he was on, then catch the ledge with his arms since he might slip and fall if he landed regularly on the ledge. If only he had Kaos' magical terrain cancelling ability... He chose to ignore the magical unicorn, preferring to let the less mobile Adventurers, such as the Guardian, take what was probably the only trip to the ledge since fifteen seconds was pretty much half over by the time Kaos finished his speech and people galvanized into action. He would make his own path. The ledge was long enough to hold more than one person, after all. The first ledge was relatively straight forward. It was not particularly high, so he had no trouble reaching the first ledge. He pulled himself up, then placed his foot on the edge of where the ink was. The ice supporting the front half of his foot gave way as he stood on the brink of strong and weak ice before making his jump to the second ledge. Since Lamenta had been so kind as to expose the edge of the strong bit of ice facing him, he was able to do what he did for the first ledge. The third ledge was mostly untouched, which made it slightly more tricky. He drew his weapons and imagined a blade being thrust at him, dodging said blade to activate [High Roller]. He spun several times while airborne, and landed almost vertically onto the area marked by the ink lines, right next to Sayha. From this spot, the next ledge seemed daunting, almost towering over him. In terms of distance, the jump was not an issue. He could use [Fold Step] just before he started falling to get on the next ledge, but with all the movement from the others, it was safer to not go up there. If the [Black Curtain] was between the two ledges, he could make the jump anyway.

| Each Day Is an adventure in its own right 650x1.1= 710 Words |
Kaos' plan seemed to motivate the adventurers as Icyferno and Lamenta quickly progressed to the third ledge where they stood with Sayha. Sark, a rather enigmatic fellow, remained on the first ledge, having yet to move. If he waits much longer he will be left behind. At the very least he will have Bailin, so I guess that's good. He looked at the brutish warden below keeping his torch-bearing skeleton summon company. Kaos stood and watched as Katarina and Sayinh mounted the unicorn. At least they are both light... but with both of them I don't think they'll make it past the third ledge. That epiphany gave him a good idea, albeit mean in some regards.
With only a few seconds left until his unicorn was de-summoned, he started his preparations for casting [Black Curtain]. He traced door shape in the air then wrote several glyphs in side it. This shape he threw towards the back of the room, above the far ledge. Once there, the arched door-frame began to fill with a black ooze with a purple ethereal smoke flowing around it as it moved 1 meter back from the edge and came to rest. Kaos then turned to the adventurers and began drawing the next door, this one containing slightly different glyphs to denote it as the entrance. The black ooze began to fill the door flowing down from the top of the arched door frame, the faint purple smoke flowing down just behind it, penetrating the ooze. Kaos pushed the door down so it came to rest between the 3rd and 4th ledge, opening towards the adventurers.
As soon as the [Black Curtain] was in place, Kaos' unicorn took off at a full sprint with the two riders on his back. The unicorn jumped before he reached the ledge, his back legs sliding ever so slightly to the left. This skewed the unicorn's trajectory but it still managed to land within an acceptable distance of the marked spot of the second ledge, where it slid until it had enough traction to make another leap. As the unicorn soared through the air, its front hooves began to flake away in small shards of light: it was de-summoning with the riders on it. As it reached its landing point on the third ledge the front legs had disappeared up to the shoulder, thus it had no way of bracing itself - let alone stopping. The unicorn's hind quarters snapped forward as the creature burst into hundreds of shards of light, disappearing completely and sending the two riders flying into the Black Doorway. AS soon as the entered, they exited on the far ledge in a puff of black smoke. It was clear that Sayinh had tried to catch Kat, but it looked like his attempt was in vain as Kat was ejected from his arms upon impact with the ground. Kat ended up face first on the ice as Sayinh tumbled and rolled across until he came to a stop nearly a meter away from the girl he tried to rescue.
Kaos sighed and shook his head at the sight, trying very hard not to laugh. That was closer than I had planned, I guess it can't be helped. He looked down at the skeleton and watched as it also began it disappear, only it was collapsing in on itself and the bones were melting away in the snow. As it disappeared, it left its torch behind, standing upright in the snow about half a meter from Bailin's feet. "I guess it's time to go, eh? Hurry before the door closes." Kaos said as he jumped through the door and appeared at the exit. He walked over to Kat and helped her up before going to do the same for Sayinh. "Looks like you two cut it close with that unicorn. At least you guys made it through the door."
