The girl refastened her robes a bit, standing at the edge of the Londinium Zone, hesitant to actually leave. Past here, there was nothing stopping a monster from attacking, or even another pla...Adventurer from killing him and taking his things. ...Not that he really had much of anything to take, but its not as if anyone else would know that. She took a deep breath and made sure everything was ready. Laserbook, check. Pointy sword, in scabbard. Generic Heretic Clothing...well, it's not like she's taken that off since arriving in this world, really(thank god for the systems that automate keeping Adventurers clean or she'd smell horrible right now). She was just about to set out when she had a thought...
She opened up her Interface for a moment and inspected one of her skills...Eye for an Eye. Puts a "curse" on "target"...Doesn't say what is and isn't an applicable target, except that it needs to have a 'body' of course. He tore a small band of his robe and made it into an impromptu eyepatch, covering her left eye, before casting Eye For an Eye...On himself. He placed the emblem on her back, and took a moment to adjust to seeing from two entirely different angles at once, but greatly enjoyed the extra perception it granted her. At least it'd be hard for somebody to sneak up on him now. Now she was ready...Or at least, as ready as she would be for this. He took a deep breath, and stepped out of the zone.
There wasn't some big change like she was expecting. No loading screen, no teleporting someplace else as the 'exit'. She just walked out of the town borders, and that was that. Of course, there wasn't anything around in the immediate vicinity of the town, the monsters probably knew better than to stray so close to where the Adventurers made their home, so he got to walking to the forest. He stayed along the roads, and the trip was fairly calm and quiet, just a few creatures that she mostly ignored or attempted to keep out of the aggro radius from. It was a somewhat long, but invigorating walk to the Greatwood proper. She hesitated at the entrance, but took another deep breath, and proceeded inside.

Another day of hunting was nearly done, and Saiph was rather pleased with himself. He had gotten quite used to the world he was in, and he had gained a few levels. He was on his own for the time being and had been working on killing lower-tiered monsters. He was a high enough level to fight some of the monsters in forest region of Windsor Greatwood, but he didn’t want to take any chances flying solo so he stuck to playing it safe… at least for now.
Saiph stood up from his crouching position and swung his rifle over his shoulder so it laid on his back. He was still in his starter level gear along with his starting rifle, but he planned on changing that soon. Only he wanted to be at least level 10 before switching out.
Saiph stretched and looked around, seeing what other enemies he might attack… however, something else caught his eye.
Along the path to the forest region of the Greatwood walked a level 1 Adventurer… though he didn’t recognize their class. They didn’t seem to notice Saiph… or anything for that matter. They just seemed to be walking straight for their deaths. Saiph had the guidance of Dorian, a shaman who he had run into when he first started to level, and Dorian helped Saiph get acquainted to the fighting system. It appeared the other had no such help. There was no way Saiph could let the other one go off to kill themselves in good conscious.
Saiph jogged from where he was standing to the entrance of the wooded area. “Hey there,” he called out to the other adventurer, “You too low-leveled to fight in the forest area in this region. Unless you have a higher leveled tank, you’ll simply die.”
Now that he was close enough, Saiph could read the other adventurers interface. She was a heretic, a class that Saiph knew nothing about. Interesting…
“I suggest you stick to the field area of Windsor and gain a few levels before venturing off to the forest… unless you want to die, but you don’t seem to be that type,” Saiph continued, “I’m always looking for company so why don’t you join me on hunting some lower leveled monsters out here in the fields. Oh, the name is Saiph by the way.”

Cutting through the small dull green mass of slime with the blade of his spear, Vitae quickly finished off the artificial life-form in one swift pierce through it out its back which caused the monster to turn evaporate and turn into a mass bubbles which sprayed up into the air like a fountain. After the spray finally dispersed Vitae bent down and grabbed the small amount of gold the monster gave and turned to make his way out of the forest. Vitae had already been hunting monsters for several hours that morning to get some gold for crafting materials and he was pretty mentally exhausted from all the hard work. Almost to the exit Vitae saw the outlines of to figures that seemed to be chatting and once getting closer where Vitae was able to read the interfaces of the two he was surprised to see that in one of the two's guild section was Vylbrand Academy's mark. Tilting his eyes upwards Vitae saw that the guild mate's name was Saiph and he was a Sorcerer, not recognizing the name Vitae became curious of the other of the two and checked what their name was, it was Medresi and she was Heretic. Thinking of the classes way of combat Vitae easily summarized it as Ranged Damage per Second and Debuffs which combined equaled Pure Destruction per Second. Knowing that type of party build moderately well Vitae also knew that they would burn through mana very quickly and once they did anything they were fighting would close in on them and kill them quickly. That was unless they had a buffer which they could fall on such as healing, and while Vitae preferred up close combat he did have some healing skills and a familiar which had rather good synergy with the classed that the two he was walking up on had chosen.
While tired Vitae also knew that it would be rather fun to do some training within a party and always a hunter for fun Vitae decided to join them in their conversation. Closing the space that separated the three of them Vitae but a rather calm smile on his face and put his hands in his pockets. Getting a closer look at the two Vitae deemed them to be good people so after letting the white haired Sorcerer finish talking Vitae just summed up all he could say in a few words, "Hey don't mind if I join you guys? I can act as the buffer for you guys to fall on after you guys run through your mana." With that it was done and Vitae deemed all that was necessary to do now was shake their hands, so taking his right hand out of his pocket and put in front of himself so they could shake it.

She stopped in her tracks and turned to the sound, hearing someone jogging up to him, and refashioned the "eyepatch" into more of a headband to give her full attention to the newcomer. She wouldn't be able to see behind himself, but he figured that this person would probably be gentlemanly enough to alert her if she was about to be attacked. He checked her interface for a moment, seeing his username and class-Saiph the Sorcerer. Made sense, given his robes, although the she thought the use of a rifle was a peculiar choice for the class. Hearing what the mage said, she gave a bit of a bemused frown, saying in response, "A-ah...I'd heard that the Greatwood was a fairly low-level area, as long as you made sure not to stray towards the castle within. I thought if I kept near the path, I might find a few lower level creatures to practice against. Although...well, I guess for most people 'fairly low' is in the range of 5-10. Thank you for the warning, though...I do rather enjoy not-dying, you are correct."Now that he was closer, the Heretic relaxed, standing comfortably with his laserbook at her right side and left hand rested on the hilt of his sword. "I'm Ke...er, Medresi, sorry. And certainly, I'd love to accompany you. It'll be good to make a new friend...Been keeping so focused on earning money to not get kicked out of inns I don't think I've been able to actually meet anyone." He said, breathing a sigh of relief that she wouldn't need to go it alone her first day. "Is there anything you're hunting in particular? I know some of the crafting and culinary guilds have been hunting for ingredient drops, and...I think I overheard someone saying a few of them prefer the monsters captured alive, if possible? Not sure why though, off the top of my head, and I'm not certain what type of guild yours is." That was about when the third person joined them. Medresi jumped, startled from having her attention focused on her conversation with the Sorcerer. He turned to the newer newcomer, taking another moment to view him with the interface-Vitae, a Druid. She took a moment and thought from what he could remember playing the old Elder Tale game...Unless the new version completely changed them, Sorcerers were offensive spellcasters, while the party role Druids filled were somewhat offensive healers. She didn't exactly know what role the Heretic was meant for, but from what he'd been able to gather experimenting with the skills he had at his disposal, the Heretic was meant to be a offensive debuffer and focused on its Corruption mechanic. It wouldn't be the most balanced party, by any means, but for the early levels they should be able to rely on sheer firepower to destroy enemies before they land too many hits. Plus, he two of them seemed to already have a couple of levels under their belts, so Medresi figured they probably knew what they were doing moreso than he did. She gave the Druid a light smile, and shook his outstretched hand. Nodding to her new companion, he said, "I'm Medresi, and this is Saiph. I'm glad to meet nice people so early on...I was afraid I'd have to go the first few levels on my own. Unless Saiph has any objections, I don't see any reason not to! I suppose we should form a party if we'll be battling together, make it easier to see each others' Mana and Health totals..." At that much, she navigated the interface menu and extended a party invite to the two of them and awaited their response. Tagging- @saiph Vitae

“It’s good to meet you, Medresi,” Saiph smiled, nodding at the heretic after she introduced herself, “That’s completely understandable. I didn’t start leveling until a few weeks ago… not really sure why I waited so long, to be honest.”
Saiph fiddled with the strap of the rifle that was over his shoulder as Medresi asked what he had been hunting and what kind of guild he was in, “I was hunting nothing in particular. I simply kill whatever I find; makes it simpler that way. As for the type of guild I’m in, it’s a combat style guild from what I understand. I haven’t been in the guild very long so I honestly don’t know what anyone else does.”
As if on cue, another lower-leveled person appeared. This time, it was a druid, one who wielded a spear. He asked if he could join them and held out his hand for them to shake. Saiph checked the interface, and it read that his name is Vitae.
Medresi introduced herself to the druid while also introducing Saiph, which was fine with him. “The more, the merrier,” Saiph smiled, shaking the druid’s hand briefly, “Well met.”
A pop-up appeared on Saiph’s interface, and it was a party invitation from Medresi. Saiph accepted the invitation and waited for Vitae to accept as well.
“Well, since we’re now a group of three hunting together, we could head into the forest region here,” Saiph said after a pause, “Though the only problem would be is that I would end up tanking… though as long as we can kill everything before it reaches melee range, we shouldn’t have a problem. Of course, there are level tens that hang around in the forest so we could potentially run into those. Of course if we’re concerned about levels individually, we could, of course, just stick to the plains. After all, they’re a safer level overall. I’m fine with either plan so what do you guys think?”

Seeing that he was accepted into the group with little to no problem whatsoever, Vitae retracted his hand back after shaking hands with the others and listened to what they hand to say. The first person to speak about strategy after Vitae’s introduction was Medresi, who was about to say her real name but probably felt uncomfortable doing so, who suggested that they form a party which threw out the presumption that Vitae had previously made. Vitae found Medresi’s reasoning for the formation sound if not a little obvious because if they didn’t form a party, Vitae, as the healer would have to go by eyesight alone to determine whether not to heal if the others didn’t tell him when they needed Vitae to cast a healing spell. After Medresi’s suggestion came Saiph who asked whether or not they should stick with the forest or go to the plains and said that he would probably have to tank for the group, but if they were quick that wouldn’t matter. Seeing logic in that Vitae did have another thing to say as a warning, “Hey I know this sounds like almost madness, but when I made this avatar and selected the skills I choose a more combat oriented build, so the only healing I have is a party wide one and a revival because I thought they would be at least more beneficial. Also as a Druid my healing spells are over time, meaning if I want to keep you guys up and running I’ll have to use my spell when you guys around fifty percent because otherwise it will be for naught and also the I need to use it around that time because of the cooldown and the aggro it attracts, but it can be used as a pulling strategy to crowd control incase we end up with more than two.” Feeling a little embarrassed Vitae gave a small scratch to the back of his head, but at least Vitae had said it now and not later which was better as it made seeing who a battle would end out a little easier.

Medresi listened to Saiph and thought for a moment, before nodding and saying, "I'd rather not put us all in too much more danger than we need to be, and I'm not hunting for anything in particular except XP. The fields sounds just fine to me. I...don't really know my way around, though, or where all of the spawn areas are, so it might be better for one of you to lead the way? I don't think we'll need you to tank, per say...If we're careful, we could probably take down some of the weaker monsters before they have a chance to fight back. It'll be less experience overall...but in the long run, caution's a better strategy anyways." Seeing that the newcomer had also (formally) joined the party, he clapped her hands together in delight. "Wonderful, we're all ready then! And I shouldn't think that's a problem. You'll still be bringing more healing to the table than me or Saiph, after all. Ideally we won't be needing any healing, but you can never be too careful. And blitzing everything that gets in our way is, after all, a valid strategy too. As long we we're careful, I don't think it'll be too big of a problem that we don't have a proper tank or a specced healer. And gimme juuust a...second..." He said, before adjusting the eyepatch back over his left eye. "Aaaand now I'll be able to watch out backs. One of my skills lets me put a glyph on someone that I can see from, as long as one of my eyes are covered. Before I set out I placed one on my back just in case. Ready whenever you guys are!"Tag: @saiph Vitae

The Druid, Vitae, answered Saiph first. He explained that he was a combat-oriented build with only a few healer skills. In many past games he played, Druid had been a healer-based class… though there were plenty of damage-based Druids as well.
“That sounds good, Vitae,” Saiph nodded, “We’ll keep that in mind, but as I said earlier as long as we kill them quickly, there shouldn’t be any big problem.”
The Heretic, Medresi, added that they should stay in the fields, which was to be expected. Rather be safe than sorry. Saiph hadn’t died yet, and he had no plans on doing so any time soon. Then she explained that she had the ability to watch their backs due to an ability of hers. “Handy,” Saiph commented, “Then you should remain to the back. I will probably be floating around long to mid-range. Vitae, since you didn’t say what your range is, stay closer to me. I’ll be the one who does the pulls since I’m the highest level.”
Saiph pulled the strap his rifle was on so that his rifle was now in his hands. He put the butt of his rifle and adjusted it so that it was in his shoulder, “Let’s get going.”
Saiph turned and began walking away from the forest entry and towards the field area, assuming Vitae and Medresi were following behind him. As he moved, Saiph kept a close eye open for monsters. He had found a good spot earlier where he was able to camp and simply kill the respawns. As he moved, it appeared that no one else was there which was good.
Near the spot where Saiph had camped was a young Pittered Boar, level 3, and two Dull Green Slimes, levels 3 and 4.
“Three enemies in site, two level 3s and a level 4,” Saiph said to the two behind him, “We’ll want to focus on the level 4 first.” Saiph kept walking until he was in range. Once he was, he crouched down with his right knee on the ground and his left leg at a 90 degree angle. He aimed his rifle at the level 4 slime and waited for a few moments for the others to get in place. Once he assumed they were in place, Saiph used his <Serpent Bolt> ability. The blue-purple lighting shot forward, and it the target he aimed for head-on. Once the shot hit, sparks of lightning moved off of the slime and went to the other slime as well as the boar. They turned to Saiph, obviously not happy.
