[attr="class","capsol"] Yet another day of walking around on her own accord, and for some reason, she always chose days that were bustling with people. Surprising how she always manages this, whether it's a skill of her's or not was beyond her, as it felt much more like a curse. Either way, this still meant that there would be a number of people out and about this day, and to her surprise, they seemed to be gathering around this one plaza, which drew out the woman's curiosity, as it would to any normal human being. Either way, she did decide to go in and look to see if she could find out what all the hustle and bustle was about, without any regard for what she may see or hear within. However, from the outside, it seemed like she wouldn't be able to get a good spot in the inner circle of this gathering, so she decided that she may as well go for a higher vantage point, or something of the sort. Anything that would help satiate her curiosity would do. She started to look around, and noticed how most were centered around the inner-most area of the circular plaza, while some had found places up above the common rabble to have a much better view of the happenings. She couldn't hear anything coming from there, and it seemed like most were just talking amongst themselves for now. However, she soon spied that there was a low-roofed building not too far from her, with some boxes stacked high on top. Not high enough to reach the roof of the building, but high enough for her to at least step up from there. The white-haired Swashbuckler began to make her way over towards the boxes, looking back towards the center of the social experiment of Adventurers, still trying to see if anything was going on in the center of the circumference. Nothing that she could audibly make as a cue for people to stop their senseless conversation, so she continued along her way towards the boxes. The boxes were stacked up fairly high, at least her height plus half of her height once more, and she knew she wouldn't necessarily be able to get up without a little bit of help. Scrawling up the side wouldn't likely be nice to see, nor would it compliment her status to be seen, trying hard to scale up a few boxes. She knew that her rapiers would not be able to withstand her weight, despite how light she was, and would likely break if she tried to force herself up. Instead, upon looking around further, she noticed a sturdy-looking two handed sword resting nearby what she supposed was an Adventurer, and decided that she would use that weapon for her own benefit. While the man was talking, she walked over, grabbed the weapon, and dragged it over to where she needed it to be. The man looked over at her, and exclaimed. "Oi, what'd'you think yer doin' with tha', lass!?" He said, about to catch up to her. Ignoring the man, she stabbed the weapon into the middle of the upper box. Using the sword as a hand-hold, she turned around and jumped up, kicking off the man that she had borrowed the weapon from. Using the hilt of the weapon to help guide herself, she landed atop the box, and let go of the weapon. "Thank you for your donation." Megumi said, turning to look at the roof just next to her now. Without another word, she stepped up and onto the roof, looking down at the center of the commotion, only to see some people clad in dark robes. They weren't quite ready to present, if that was what they were going to do in the first place, but they did seem to be the reason why so many people were gathered. She did notice a few adventurers in the middle, trying to speak with them, but she wasn't exactly sure what was going on with them. They didn't seem to reply or respond at all, and just kept their heads fixed in a certain direction. Peculiar, to say the least, as the Swashbuckler went to sit down on the ledge of the roof. Putting her legs together, she placed her hands together and sat as though she were a princess at the head of a table, her eyes fixed on these strange individuals, who would soon be speaking. WORDS 769 TAGS NOTES Hope that's alright. Figured that 'group' would just give us something to gawk at for now.
| but somewhere here in between these city walls | Dagger yawned as he made his way through the throngs of people, wondering about the commotion that had woken him up earlier than he usually liked to be on his 'days off'. He was in his basic clothes once more, not really feeling like noisily crashing around on the streets with his starter plate armor, stuff was too heavy anyways. He followed the flow of the crowd as he started to wake up more, the noise of the crowd preventing him from doing anything else. The flow of people seemed to be heading for a particular plaza, a decent little meeting spot he thought but nothing that should have accounted for just this many people... something had to be up.
Fully awake now, Dagger began moving towards the edge of the crowd, seeking to find an advantageous point from which to survey the area. It seemed he wasn't the only one to think in such a fashion, as several others were rising above the crowds on whatever they could find. Dagger found the closest rise he could, which was nothing more than a small wall to separate some garden plots, and climbed on top, looking for another spot to head for.
His eyes came to rest on the center for a moment. He could just barely make out some rather interestingly dressed individuals, standing out from everyone else at this 'gathering'. His eyes quickly scanned the area noticing little pockets in the crowd, haphazardly leading towards the central area. Then, he spotted something, or well, someone who seemed rather familiar. He would have dismissed it at first but that hair-style was incredibly hard to dismiss as being anyone other than the Princess he had met before. She seemed to have found a rather good venue for viewing the scene, and if he skirted the edge of the crowd, an easy enough place to get to.
It only took about a minute or two for him to make his way to the boxes, walking past a grumbling man who seemed rather upset by the 'nerve of some girl to use his weapon and himself like that'. Dagger had no real intentions of asking as he began climbing the boxes, looking up at the person who was sitting there and finding to actually be the Princess he thought it was.
"Well, howdy there Princess. Fancy meetin' you here on a high ole' perch. Seems we're both interested in this here gatherin' eh? Mind if I join ya?"
He would wait for her answer before acting, either sitting on the roof a comfortable distance away from her, or sitting on top of the highest box, resting his back against the wall. Either way he'd try and make some polite conversation with the woman as he waited to see just what was going on.
"How ya been since I last laid eyes on ya? Doin' well I hope. I been workin on makin'a few new gadgets an' improvin' an ole' pistol I keep tucked away."
He'd give her a chance to reply, before continuing on with the conversation.
"Say, ya got anythin' on this here spectacle? All I could get from the crowds were nonsense about special folk wantin to say somethin'. Seems important, if'n it drew out this large a crowd... almost a whole two, three hundred folk packed in here I think. Count could be off though."
He was entirely too interested in what was going on down there, and he wouldn't be leaving until he had all of his answers. His attention was drawn towards the south entrance of the plaza, as a group of maybe five people pushed and shoved their way through the crowds. Dagger leaned forward, trying to get a better view of what was going on. The group consisted of a large man in heavy plate armor that shone brightly in the sun, a person in deep blue robes with their face fully covered, what seemed to be another man in chainmail with a pair of swords on his sides and a pair of women in matching outfits that kept large bows on their backs. They made their way to the center rather quickly, either due to people moving out of their way or the large man grabbing one of the people in his way and tossing them aside.
"Huh... wonder what the heck that ruckus is all about?"
He couldn't deny he was interested, but he sure as heck wasn't about to get down there and ask that group what they were doing. He was more than content to stay here and watch for now. | of dying dreams |

| Lerical had been expecting today to be a rather peaceful day. She’d walk around some, say hello to a few people and then maybe she’d work on her crafting. At one point though, while she was seated and taking a break from walking, she noticed the crowds slowly pick up. They all seemed to be heading in the same direction like sheep prodded, and that struck her as a little odd. What was going on exactly, she didn’t know. So as the woman stood from her seat near the window in a pub, she listened. Other patrons of the establishment were on their way outside as well, and as they passed by to the door she heard one of them mention something about the plaza. So, that’s where they’re all going, but why? It wasn’t often that everyone was abuzz like they were today, and it must be quite important for so many people to be interested in going to see what was going on. Lerical didn’t catch them on anything else they had to say, and deemed most of the fading chatter as unrelated to the event.
She left change on the table as a tip of letting her just sit there and taking up space, and stepped out onto the street. Her lungs filled with a deep breath, one that she held as she joined the trickling groups of people, and she was off. When they plaza came into sight, Lerical broke away from it in haste, her shoulder bumping into an armored woman that sent her an annoyed look, one that she sent an apologetic one to with a duck of her head. There were quite a few people already there, and she skirted around them. More than likely she’d end up with quite a few elbows in her ribs and stomach for her effort if she tried to push her way though, and still learn nothing in the end.
There had to be another way to see what was going on, Lerical decided.
Then there came a group of people with enough guts to force their way through. Lerical watched as they began to push through, enough people between them and her so that she wasn’t the one that got picked up by the scruff of her neck and tossed aside. The large man was the one that parted the crowd, bordering on violent as he manhandled anyone that was in his path. She caught a slim glimpse as the space opened up, one that was quickly swallowed up by his companions following closely behind him. If she were large and looked half as intimidating as he did, maybe she’d try. But she wasn’t, and so Lerical bit her lip in frustration and began to look around once more.
Amidst her search for a solution to her problem, she spotted a pair up on a roof. The who part she couldn’t tell from her distance, but they had a good idea to avoid the crowd and figure out what was going on. The bard headed toward it and kept close to the side, exasperation slowly creeping into her occasional sigh. Lerical assessed the height of the building as she got closer, it was fairly low which was what she had been looking for when she first saw it. It meant that the bard could get up there, and so she stopped a few paces away from the side.
Her head tilted up, and her neck protested as she stayed like that a few more moments before she took a few steps back. With the distance put between her and the wall, she tilted her head down and looked behind her. The space between it and the next building was close enough so that she could use that as a springboard, one from the other until she could grab a hold of the roof and pull herself up. So Lerical ran at the first wall, her feet scrambling against it once, twice; before she pushed off and kicked against the other wall and did the same, the force propelling up her upwards and towards the building she was trying to get on top of. Her hands grabbed onto the side of the roof when she was done, and Lerical dangled there for a moment before she started to pull herself up. A puff of air left her once she had made it up, and the small woman sat where she had climbed up and turned the upper half of her body to look at the crowd, her feet dangling over the side. The center caught her attention, and Lerical stared at what she had worked so hard to get a look at.
Two robed, mysterious individuals that didn’t have anything that really stood out about them, other than the fact that everyone was crowding around them for whatever they were going to do. Either she had just wasted her time, or made better use of it than she had originally planned.

| Aerila HP: 100% MP: 100% |
"Hmph," she huffed, blowing air up over the curves of her features to send the strands of her fringe upwards and out of her eyes. Alas, Aerila's locks had a different idea, coming back with a vengeance to poke her in the eye on the way down. "Gah!" Sitting up straight, the Elven Warden shook her head, her long locks of blue shimmering as the sun finally hit them, her body moving from underneath the shade of the gentle overhang she had been resting beneath. Her hand quickly slipped up her face and through the streaks of red that came down over her eyes, brushing them out so that they didn't get in the way of her vision as much.
With that out of the way, and her morning rest having been interrupted, Aerila stirred and rose to her feet, dusting herself off. Her Wardenscale was comfortably clinging to her curvaceous form, just the way she liked it, but she still had a look of disgust - mainly at herself - for interrupting her own nap. "Hair these days, no self control," she muttered loudly to herself, though there wasn't really anyone else in the nearby vicinity to hear. Releasing a disgruntled sigh, she moved out of the alleyway she had claimed for the morning and stepped out into the street, greeted surprisingly by the sound of commotion coming from nearby.
"Curiosity killed the cat, Aerila," she warned herself, lifting her hand up behind her body to rub at the back of her neck as she glanced toward the direction the sounds were coming from. In that brief second of doubt, her demeanour changed almost instantaneously, her lips curling up into a bright smile. "Well, it's a good thing I'm not kitty!" With a sheepish grin plastered onto her face, the eager beaver - decidedly not an eager cat, as was rightly pointed out - broke into a bounced skip down the street, her shoes clacking over the concrete and echoing off the buildings that held the street together, a gentle hum coming off her lips.
"Flower gleam and glow~" Aerila quickly began to sing a soft ditty as she skipped along, the long rope attached to her kunai bobbing slightly, despite being securely wrapped around her waist; the kunai itself seemed to gently bounce off her thigh, gently tapping against her scaled side each time she made the apex of her bounced archs. "Let your power shine~" In swift fashion, she arrived at the edge of the large group of people; already she was gathering a few odd glances from Landers and Adventurers alike who could plainly hear her loud and joyful tuned voice. Paying them no mind, the Warden lass skipped her way through the crowd, her eyes glancing up towards the centre of the massing of curious minds.
A couple of older looking gentleman were propped up in the centre of the plaza, seemingly obvious in their intent to speak to the crowd; clad in dark robes and looking quite frail in their worried expressions, Aerila could sense that something was amiss. "Make the clock reverse," she continued to sing, breaking her own brief monotony and reverie to continue through the crowd - She couldn't exactly watch from just anywhere, could she? Absolutely not! Shhh, Aerila, back to singing. - releasing yet another line of sing song. "Bring back what once was mine~" Her hand idly grasped up at her fringe, the mix of red and blue somewhat brushing over her vision as she focused her attention on the colour for a brief moment. "Dang it," she cursed under her breath, disappointed at the lack of glow.
As her skipping continued, Aerila's attention was caught by a group of people that had emerged through the monotony; rather abrupt in their own attempts to get through the masses, the larger fellows were used their size to get their way. "Rude," the Warden whispered under her breath, her hand darting down to her kunai and unravelling it from her waist. With her position in the crowd, she could probably just manage to toss the pointed blade so that it only dinged the larger man in plate who was grabbing people out of the way; not enough to anger the city's no attack system, but enough to irritate the big one. With a malicious grin, she began to twirl the rope attached to the kunai, when her eyes glanced across to a pair of people sat together on a rooftop.
If that wasn't enough distraction, just nearby, a very pretty individual was beginning to make her way up to join the duo on the roof, causing Aerila's eyes to betray her as the followed the maiden's ascent up the building. Blinking slowly, the intrigued Warden made a quiet wolf whistle under her breath, retying the kunai and it's rope around her waist, before skipping through the crowd to make her way towards the building the trio were stood atop. "Here I come," she cooed upwards, alerting anyone on the roof of her imminent presence before she once again retrieved her kunai. Twirling it beside her, her eyes focused on a weak spot in the edge of the roof, her hand spiralling the rope upwards towards it and lodging the blade into the cavity, securing it tightly.
Using the rope to her advantage, it was a piece of cake for Aerila to climb up the side of the building, building up a little bit of a sweat thanks to the morning sun. With the last stretch, she hopped up onto the edge, gathering up her kunai dart and wrapping the rope once again around her waist. Patting it gently, her vision focused on the trio who had preceded her, though she was also trying to keep the black robes down below in her peripheral vision. "How are you cuties doing?" Perfect, Aerila, you always know how to break the ice. Approaching the three, she smiled at Half-Alv who had just climbed up before her, before glancing across at the other woman stationed here, a Human with a bit of a 'resting whatsit face', or something like that. She threw a wink at the girl in question, just to be safe.

Post by Megumi on Apr 5, 2016 0:04:20 GMT
[attr="class","capsol"] The Swashbuckler's eyes drifted up and to the side as a voice that she recalled had made its way next to her. Though she didn't necessarily take well to being called 'Princess' she gave a slight pass due to the person by whom it was spoken. She made no motion or vocal agreement to the man's request to join her for the circumstance that was going on, as he seemed to hold some kind of interest in the whole debacle as well. As much as she would rather have ignored others for the time being, she did very much realize that Dagger was intelligent enough to hold himself up in an intellectual conversation. "I've not been doing much, aside from gathering funds with which to procure my own arsenal of amenities that I so enjoyed having, back in the real world." This was Megumi's only response to the questions that Dagger had put forth, and not too much longer afterwards, she noticed a sight to behold.
Raising an eyebrow, she had caught onto what Dagger was looking at. A group of people had started to make their way to the center of the plaza, looking possibly only to figure out just what was going on. Megumi shared in their curiosity, but she was tactful enough to not charge right up into the center and demand answers. "I'm not sure, though I care not to investigate." She responded. "If it is important, than we shall see what it means for us in due time, I'm sure." Falling silent for a moment, Megumi continued to watch the group, only to be caught off guard by the sudden sound of another person arriving. Her eyes shifted over to the other side of the building, having to turn herself a bit, and noticed that another girl had joined them up here. Her eyes quickly returned to the sight before herself and the Samurai, as that was the center of the newcomer's attention, as well. As though to mock her, something else caught her attention.
It seemed that another had noticed the three that were up on the roof of the building, and seemed intent of joining them. Perhaps Megumi was far too god of a trend-setter than she would have a following here shortly, which she couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed and proud of. Perhaps she was just that wonderful a being, though she wasn't going to say that aloud. The last thing the world needed to think was that the Swashbuckler was petty. Having lost sight of the other blue-haired girl, she started to focus on the commotion in the center, until a thud from behind was heard. There was the other girl that had looked up to the rooftop, and their entrance statement brought a slight raise to her eyebrow. She ignored it for the most part, with a simple wave of her hand nearby herself, as she turned back to the center of the plaza. As she did this, she noticed that one of the cloaked figures had started to move up and onto the platform that had been created. Sitting up, Megumi heard the crowd grow quiet.
"Adventurers of all types, I thank you all for coming." A voice came from the one that had walked up. "We have asked you all here for a very important mission, one that we cannot partake of ourselves. But, before I ask of you this request, I will tell you who we are." The figure's arms outstretched to the people surrounding them, to the other cloaked people. "We are the Sages of the Messier Order. We have been lurking in the shadows, watching, for quite some time. And now, we come before you all with our request." They motioned to the others to bring something up, which Megumi couldn't see at first. With a moment to herself, she started to wonder what exactly this person was. Was it a female? Male? She couldn't rightly tell. Of course, her thought process was cut off by the presentation of a broken stone slab, which was held up high for everybody to see. "This stone has been told of since the times of the Alvs, and, as you can see, is in a state of disrepair. This is why we must ask of your aid, to anybody who can help us in this endeavor!"
The other sages took the slab away once more, and the first began to speak further. "We have heard tell of the last bit of this artifact being somewhere on the Coastline of the Thames, and we would request of you to go and find it for us. Since we do not have within us the proper magics to find the relic ourselves like you do, we cannot go and look for this on our own. To aid you with the search, we have a small number of these 'Divining Rods' to search more easily and effectively. If anybody would like to aid us, please come forth and accept one rod from us. We thank you for listening to our plea, and pray that you will assist us." The Sage took a bow, and started to step down, as a large mass of people started to shout questions up to them. As was to be expected, they didn't turn back around to answer anything, and only moved over to a barrel of sorts that held, what Megumi could only figure, those Divining Rods they had mentioned.
Not particularly interested in the whole deal, though not having much else to do, Megumi decided that she may go ahead and give this a whirl. It sounded like a means to waste time while also seeing if she could get some kind of reward out of finding this piece of relic. If it's as old as the Sages say it is, then it should be worth a pretty penny, should it be found. Megumi went to prop herself up and stand on the rooftop, turning around to speak to those that had gathered there. "I hope none of you particularly mind, but I shall be partaking in this endeavor. If any of you would like to join me, then please follow me. I'll be waiting by the barrel where they give out their Divining Rods, should you like to come along. Elsewise, have a lovely afternoon." Performing a standard curtsy, Megumi turned around and hopped down from the rooftop. She landed crouched, and then stood up, before beginning to make her way through the number of people that were either walking towards the Sages or leaving the area. She would have to make her way through a large number of people, before getting to a point where she could wait for one of the rods to be given to her. She was in perfect view of the rooftop that the small group had formed on, though she paid no mind to it. Her intent was on this newfound quest, and how much it would pay in the end.

| but somewhere here in between these city walls | It seemed that the spot Megumi had chosen would become more popular with each passing moment, as two new people joined in. The first had performed some kind of acrobatic stunt to get up here, almost like something out of a Mario video game, before Dagger realized that he knew who it was. As she sat down, he gave a wave and a smile before calling out to her.
"Howdy Lerical. Guess the commotion caught y'er attention too, huh?"
He turned his attention back to the center before he heard the fourth person approach them. Dagger began to wonder about the structural integrity of the roof itself, not sure if it could handle all four of them being here, but figured he'd cross that bridge if it collapsed. The fourth person didn't introduce herself, or even seem to acknowledge Dagger's presence, seemingly only interested in the two females. Oh well, wasn't really a problem for him anyways.
He turned his attention back to the group that pushed their way to the center, just in time to hear the three robed figures give their speech. A stone tablet from ancient times in need of repair. Dagger mentally pulled up his recollection of the areas he had known of, scouring his mental map as he heard them mention the 'Divining Rods' that would allow one to search more effectively. Seemed a good enough idea and would easily give Dagger more than enough to do for a while. He had just decided on giving it a shot when Megumi rose and explained that she herself was going to offer her assistance, and even invited them to come along. Dagger was a little confused at first, Megumi always seemed like the loner type where if you wanted to tag along with her you practically had to force your way into her group. Either she had a change of heart since the last time he had seen her, his initial observations had been off or... more than likely she had an idea that having people there to help do the work would benefit her more. Dagger gave a shrug as he stood up, following behind Megumi.
"Figgered I'll tag along. Was gonna do it one way or another so better ta have good company, ya know?"
He smiled to Megumi and, if she joined, Lerical as he hopped off the building and walked just a few steps behind the Princess. Who knew, maybe this would all be pretty fun. | of dying dreams |
