[attr="class","capsol"] Thankfully, the sun hadn't been covered up by the clouds at all, once the ragtag group of Adventurers had made their way to the target area. It would have been a shame to have the sky become overcast, which would only serve to make the area even cooler than it needed to be. The wind wasn't too bad, either, so the sun's heat would be easily felt on their virtual skin. As her body moved forward, she felt the movement on her hips of the rapiers, strung against them. The clanked every so often, as the woman's strut had kept the same pace almost throughout. Given that she had been walking for a little while now, she started to wish she had a car or something, so that she would have been able to get to the place much quicker than this. Having spent almost half an hour just walking to this place was enough of a pain itself, but knowing that she would have to spend another walking back made it a bit worse. Regardless, the target area seemed to be very close by at this point, so she knew that she would likely only have to walk a little bit further. From there, she could stand around for a moment, before making any other kinds of movement. She didn't look behind to make sure that everybody else was there, as the movement of the horse's feet would be enough of a giveaway that she wasn't alone anymore. However, even that, she didn't listen for. Quite frankly, all that she knew was that she was no longer in the city, and the scenery around her had changed into something right out of a medieval television play or something of the sort. Some rolling fields every so often, and now, they were within a wide field of flowers, with only paths that stretched out here and there. It was genuinely serene and comfortable, to say the least, and certainly gave a wonderful contrast between the usual feeling of having been in the city. It was just overall nice out here, she felt. Not too much longer, and the target reticle for the location was nearby enough that Megumi warranted taking a small breather. Stopping her forward motion, she started to stretch her arms up high, extending her legs as much as she could. After a long walk, one must be sure to stretch, right? She started to feel a little bit hungry at that point, but decided against eating in front of everybody else. It would be a bit too much if she decided to eat while nobody else would be eating, as far as she knew. Given that, though, she figured that the hulk would have started chomping down on an old leg of mutton by the time they had gotten there, and wouldn't be surprised in the slightest about it. Either way, they were just about at their target, so she would have to go over the last bit of information on the quest sheet, since she figured not everybody else could read it quite as easily as her. She did still have it in her hands, anyways, and if someone tried to grab it, she'd likely just snag it back. Putting the paper up in front of her face, she started to read it once more. After giving it a nice read-over, she turned to face the rest of the party. "So, it says here," The Swashbuckler began. "That the monsters are hidden within the large patches of flowers and grass. And, in order to get them to come out, we have one of three options. The first is to walk through them, to see if we can get them to attack. The second is to Cut them, and from there, the monsters will be visible. The third is to use a sweet-smelling aroma to lure out a few of them, so that we may fight them more easily as a group." Rolling the paper back up, Megumi went through her inventory to place it back in there. "I suggest we make use of all three, just so we can get all of them without having to rely solely on one of the options. If that is okay with the rest of you, we can get started whenever we are all ready." Finishing her statement, she place a hand on her hip, and leaned to the other side. She started to look around the field for any monsters that might be willing to pop out for their benefit, but assumed that none of them would be so kind. Doesn't hurt to hope, she figured, waiting for the others to respond. @quilava , Tristan Lannister , Daggerfel , Jade [newclass=.bbar]background-color:#050505; border: 2px solid #050505; border-radius: 5px; overflow: hidden; width: 175px; height:6px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bbar]background-color:#050505; border: 2px solid #050505; border-radius: 5px; overflow: hidden; width: 175px; height:6px;[/newclass] ∝: 783 ♫: Route 101 ✏: Heheh. | but somewhere here in between these city walls | Dagger had switched from his clanky plate armor to the simple clothing he wore underneath. It made travel a lot easier, though he kept his zweihander strapped to his back. Past of him had regretted choosing the weapon, since he chose it without knowing of the possibility that he would have been trapped in the game itself. The sword tapped against his back every so often as he walked along with the group of people. He had sent a friend request to each of the people around, since he figured that if things went well with them he could always contact them another time for more adventures. He turned his attention to their surroundings, he could hear the clank of people's weapons every now and then, accompanying the sound of a passing breeze.
The smell of pollen wafted into the air, light enough not to send him into a sneezing fit, but heavy enough to smell at the very least. He muttered to himself as he looked for the source.
"Flower pollen, somethin' similar to that from a daisy. Down right interestin' just how... real this all feels."
It wasn't long after that the Princess stopped the party, giving a stretch. Dagger looked around, taking note of the multitudes of flowers that made up their current area. Dagger watched as she held the page in front of her and announced the information from the quest like some kind of royal page addressing peasants. Dagger shook his head at her antics before walking over to the nearest clump of flowers. He brushed his hand over a few of the taller ones, revealing one of the slimes as he activated his Evaluate ability.
"Speakin' a options. You said the quest was f'er Dull Green Slimes, right? Now, I ain't too sure if the quest itself changes the aggro patterns a them slimes, but we ain't gonna get nowhere just walkin 'round hopin' they hit first. Little feller's are labeled Curious f'er a reason. If'n we want to draw 'em out, might be the best bet if we get our resident Shaman ta conjure up some magic. Would draw a decent bit of 'em to us, with little ta no risk. That is, if the aggro settin's ain't been mangled by the quest."
He stared down at the little critter as it moved slowly towards him.
"Ain't got no special attack skills it can use, so worst thing we'll have ta worry with is its basic attacks. So, anyone willin' to take a chance on a plan? I'm purdy sure we can handle a few a these together."
He turned to look at the group, before walking over and rejoining them for a simple strategy meeting.
"If'n ya are, the idea I got would be havin' Marashi stand center while we all guard. Marashi, you'll cast some a y'er magic on that slime there, and we'll defend ya while others come out ta investigate. Purdy darn sure each a us is capable of handlin' a slime or two, so I think it'll work right as rain." | of dying dreams |

The pathway from where the group was in Londinium to Windsor Greatwoods was not too long of a walk, and it was uneventful. Then again, it was almost a full party… and there was a giant horse that helped clear the way. Marashi, however, eyed the horse carefully to make sure she didn’t accidentally step in any of its leftovers. She was barefooted after all.
Upon reaching the city gates, Megumi lead the group into the fielded area where the Dull Green Slimes were known to be. After a moment, the swashbuckler stopped and stretched… Marashi wasn’t quite sure why, but she chose to keep quiet and just shrug. After a moment, Megumi looked at the quest sheet once more, saying that the monsters were hidden in the area and that the best way to pull their attention would be walking through the grass, cutting the grass, or using a sweet scent to draw the slimes’ attention. Megumi then continued, saying that they should probably use all three methods. In theory, it would work. However, the only thing that Marashi could think to make the sweet smell was her <Leaping Apricot Technique>.
Daggerfel, though had another idea. He said that the Slimes would be curious if she, Marashi, were to use magic. That also, in theory, would work. However, both of them were missing a major point.
“I can channel magic to only a certain extent,” Marashi said, “Like I said, I only have damage abilities right now. My real magic won’t be in effect until I get barriers and healing skills. I can, however, make a temporary sweet smelling scent using one of my abilities.”
“Before I do that, we need to get a few things sorted,” Marashi continued, “We need to determine a few things… for example who the Field Monitor and Operator are. The Field Monitor is going to be the person who keeps an eye out for monsters and lets us know what is coming and if we’re clear. Jade, I think you’d be best for that position since you have a higher vantage point and can get around faster. Next is the Operator who will be the one keeping track of everyone’s health. I will go ahead and cover that slot since it will be my job in the future once I obtain some healing abilities. There is one more thing we need to cover and that is who will be taking the aggro of the monsters. We have a samurai and two guardians who are tank-type classes. However since Jane is going to be the Field Monitor, she probably shouldn’t tank. That means we’re going to rely on Dagger and Lannister.”
Marashi sighed after that explanation.
“Very nice,” Hikari commented, “you actually sound like a bossy boss.”
“Very,” Yume agreed. Marashi, however, couldn’t tell they were compliments or complaints.
“Alright, I’m going to use my ability that makes sweet scents,” Marashi said, “then I’ll see if I can channel mana. Be ready to attack.”
Marashi took a few paces backwards. Then she turned and focused on going back to the center of the group, activating <Leaping Apricot Technique>. It did indeed leave the scent so now it was time to channel. Marashi took a deep breath and focused on releasing her mana around her like an aura. She did that for a few seconds before stopping. She glanced at her mana bar, making sure she still had enough mana for a fight.
It did seem that her channeling and the sweet scent brought out a few slimes. Now it was time for the tangs to aggro.

And drawing aggro was definitely something Tristan was vary good at. She hefted the oversized sword from her shoulder, grasping it with two hands and put all her momentum into swinging it, making a large downwards arc onto one of the slimes and splattering it and its contents across the party as the sword rooted itself into the ground. It didn't seem to generate enough aggro however, as her attack was still just a normal attack and Marashi had just popped a skill. One of the slimes seemed to be getting close to her and, while Tristan was sure that the shaman could defend herself, wouldn't be doing her job properly now if she let the shaman get injured now would she? Quickly activating her [Covering] ability, she immediately swapped places with the healer as the slime's tentacle came out. With a quick pull of the sword, she blocked the attack with a glancing [Parry], [Valour Guard] Also triggering to reduce the damage to an almost completely negligible amount. As the slimes attack sparked of the blade, she threw the blade into a spin around the back of her head, cleaving the slime in two as it came around and cutting some of the grass around them, giving them a bit more of a leeway to see some oncoming enemies. She was sure the other tank would have gotten the last slime, and hefted her sword on her shoulder as she walked to a more outer position in the formation, a huge beaming grin across her face. "Doesn't seem like this'll be too hard," she thought out loud. "The only real problem we could have with these slimes is their numbers over ours, but even then I don't think it'll prove too difficult. Still, I'm glad I get to try out my [Covering] skill and Subclass now!" She patted Marashi on the shoulder as they went back to their places. "Sorry about switching so suddenly on ya like that! Wouldn't be a good tank if I let our healer get hit now would I?" Words: 344 Tags: Megumi Daggerfel @quilava Jade

notes here. words: 505 |
Jade watched the other tank take care of the first slimes, she kept an eye and watched their flank from her postion. After all she needed to keep an eye out on their surroundings as Field Monitor. That was when she spotted the real force of slimes. " Incoming, at least five of them, I think more, the grass is hiding them." She said blocking of the angle she was at with the mass of the Black Friesian horse that was Arcadia. There were more than 5, the fact was that they seemed to have done something wright as they were now at least outnumbered.
She prepared her spear and stabbed it into the incoming slime and activated her skill [Anchor Howl] keeping the ones on her side pinned at least until Dagger or Tristan got here to actually tank them. Jade after all was more focused on watching for more slimes and knew they were coming from the other side of the group as well. It seemed the slimes really liked that apricot smell. She sighed and thrust at another slime, watching a couple leave her towards the others and saw them take hits from her skill. That at least got them aggroed back at her but for how long, she needed Dagger here to take the job that Marashi had assigned him, she needed to get moble to really do damage with her spear. After all the momentum would drive the spear right through the Slimes core if she hit them right. That was her goal but well right now she was just doing her best to keep them away from the shaman
Jade was a bit of a loss of what to do, she didn't exactly have that many skills besides stab with a spear or hit with her shield but she couldn't do as well on horseback. Considering she needed to stay up here for a line of sight, she would wait and if someone came to take over the slimes she would proceed to ride around and make regular drive by's so to speak, driving her spear into any slime she could hit as she did. That would be what she would try to do only if someone took the aggro away from these slimes though. Else she would hold her ground and try to watch out for more incoming slimes.
The fight was intense and brought out a side of jade she had never experienced before. She was so focused and calm, watching their flanks and handling the slimes from the back of Arcadia who was growing unhappy with being so close to the slimes. She would need to not linger as Arcadia still wasn't the bravest horse. She had learned that herself and didn't want to relieve that lesson. Plus it would be quite embarrassing if she got dismounted by a fleeing horse so she tried to move arcadia enough to scar the slimes from attacking her. It was working so far. That was what was importan Jade supposed.

[attr="class","capsol"] To be perfectly frank, Megumi could care less about the processes by which a group was formed. Having never really had much of an interest in the subject of working with others to begin with, she didn't feel the need to fill a slot or pick a role in a certain given scenario. However, she figured it best to leave the planning and strategy to those who could figure such things out, which meant, in this case, Marashi. Megumi figured that the girl knew a thing or two about video games, specifically these massive-multiplayer ones, and decided that she would only respond should she need to be called upon. However, her name didn't even show up in the registry of positions that needed to be done. Her class wasn't even mentioned. Which meant she served little to no role in all of this. Which was fine by her, she was absolutely content with having the grunts do the hard labor for her, while she just reaped the rewards in the end. She began to watch as the monsters started to appear, one by one, after the Shaman had done her technique. The hulking dolt had immediately sprung into action, guarding the smaller girl, while the horse-rider had started to engage upon the enemy as well. Shortly afterwards, it seemed that the beast was becoming slightly more hesitant to battle over time, and Megumi could tell that it wasn't necessarily comfortable being in this kind of a situation. How she knew didn't matter at present, though it was apparent enough for even her to tell from this distance. Looking around the field, she noticed a few more slimes begin to make their way over towards them, however she wasn't the first to notice this group. Given the few that had already appeared, and the number of monsters that were slowly drawing in closer to them, Megumi figured there was somewhere between 7 and 8 Dull Green Slimes, slowly forming up around them. At this, the Swashbuckler sighed. She brought her arms out and around herself slowly, pulling the weapons she had attached to her sides out at the same speed. "I suppose the fighting starts here." She mumbled, rolling her shoulders. As the other three had already begun their own fights, covering one another somewhat, Megumi would begin her own fray for now. She had heard enough from other Swashbucklers back in the day, on theories for killing smaller enemies like these Green Slimes without too much of a hassle. Having practiced her form every so often, comparing herself to the rumors that she had heard, she felt that she may have had a decent grip on all of this now. It was at this point that she recalled having seen another female Swashbuckler, by the name of Valerie, who had been talked about here and there. She was known for being distant and liked to be on her own for a lot of things, but her skill as a swordswoman was notable. This was a long time ago now, and she had to wonder if that same swordswoman was around anywhere. It mattered not. Finally focused on what she needed to do, Megumi looked ahead and saw one of the slimes that were coming up to join the fray, and decided to make that one her target. She loosened herself, and dashed swiftly over to the monster's general vicinity. Before much else, she activated the skill known as [Fold Step], causing her to rush even more quickly to the monster's side. Planting both blades into its side quickly, she pierced the gelatinous form, and pulled the weapons back out. She drew an X in the air with the rapiers, causing [Mirage Dealer] to take effect, and she vanished from the one side of the monster to the next, sufficiently confusing the small creature. Turning back around swiftly, Megumi created a windmill type of attack, where she dragged both the blades around in a circle, slashing the monster twice. After this was completed, she jumped over it, to confuse it even more, and finished it off by crashing both blades down and onto its body. The small creature exploded into data rather quickly, and the Swashbuckler stood up, looking around for the next target. @quilava , Tristan Lannister , Daggerfel , Jade [newclass=.bbar]background-color:#050505; border: 2px solid #050505; border-radius: 5px; overflow: hidden; width: 175px; height:6px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bbar]background-color:#050505; border: 2px solid #050505; border-radius: 5px; overflow: hidden; width: 175px; height:6px;[/newclass] ∝: 713 ♫: Paradigm Shift ✏: Now, we begin the fighting! @: Tags in post [newclass=.capsol ::-webkit-scrollbar]height:5px;width:10px;background-color:#2c2c2c;[/newclass] [newclass=.capsol ::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background-color:#211f20;border-left:1px solid #211f20;border-top:1px solid #211f20;border-bottom:1px solid #211f20;[/newclass]

| but somewhere here in between these city walls | Dagger listened to Marashi as she dedicated people to roles after explaining her magic. The terms she used were incredibly... interesting to say the least, and for their current level he had no real, well, idea why they would be necessary. To be fair the Field Monitor idea seemed the most pointless, the way it was explained made it seem like one person would be taken out of the fight completely in order to just, observe the field. The position wasn't given to him and honestly he'd give it a chance before fully calling it out as a stupid idea. However, the Operator position really just sounded like the stereotypical role for a healer, I mean... watching people's HP kind of was their purpose under that role, no?
Dagger shook his head as he drew his sword, holding the zweihander in both hands, resting the flat of the blade on his shoulder. He had turned around to watch from the side as Marashi mentioned she was going to make both a sweet scent... and channel her mana? No, that was a bad idea. Dagger turned around to find his nose embracing the fragrant smell of Apricots... and his eyes seeing her doing both things at once.
"Ya know. I woulda though it'd been obvious... but ya aren't supposed to do both one after another! Any technique that expends Mana counts as a spell f'er these little blugger's passive!"
He scowled slightly. Sure, the slimes were all basically cannon fodder, if you weren't swarmed. Dagger quickly turned back around to find six slimes heading in from his direction as he heard the sounds of combat begin all around him.
"You started this, not a darn one of us entirely sure a just how good any a us were with fightin' and ya probably brought in the whole darn field at once. Ain't a soul got any patience f'er actually thinkin' out a plan."
He grumbled the last line to himself as he quickly embedded his blade into the nearest slime.
"Y'er Field Monitor plan ain't gonna hold Marashi. Jade, I suggest ya take on whatever offensive ideas ya got. Probably ain't gonna be holdin' on ta y'er horse too much longer, she sounds right freaked out. Youkaigiri!"
Dagger called out the name of his attack as he held his sword at his side, channeling mana into it. A few seconds later he stepped forward, slashing out at the next slime before bringing his sword above his head as he stepped further into the center of the group.
"Muwarufuusen!"
He began to spin the great blade above his head, gradually getting faster and faster as winds began to roil around him. The slimes were being pulled closer to him, their movement speed decreasing if they tried to move away.
"I'll hold this group as long as I can, deal with the others."
Dagger couldn't really hide the irritation in his voice. He honestly didn't like when people rushed things without making sure they had all the facts. This was his first real combat experience in the game for crying out loud! He was just thankful he had tried out the few skills he had and that Iaido was practically a passive strike he didn't have to think about. | of dying dreams |

It didn’t take very long for the two tanks to do their jobs as Marashi had outlined. The Lannister was the first to respond, going full force and grabbing the aggro of the slimes that had appeared. She wasn’t going to complain though, she had no desire to be attacked by them.
Jade was doing her job well as well which gave Marashi even more hope that they would be able to survive the onslaught of the slimes. However the fact that five more appeared did make her a bit worried. However, Jade began to tank some of the slimes as well while using her spear to attack them as well. Most of the slimes exploded into bubbles before Marashi even had to do much.
Though Marashi decided to keep a close eye on Megumi since she was the party’s main DPS. It was surprisingly good at what she did, despite the fact that she didn’t seem to be much of a hands-on person. Then again, Marashi found that fighting brought out the real personality in people. There were exceptions of course, but generally it was true. With what she was seeing with Megumi, she could see that she was a very serious person… and possibly very aware of what people thought about her.
Dagger, it seemed though, didn’t care for Marashi’s plan, saying that Jade should just ignore what Marashi had said.
“You’re wrong, Dagger,” Marashi responded to him, irritated, “We NEED the Field Monitor. And don’t get mad at me because this was originally YOUR idea. If you want to sulk, go sulk somewhere else after we’ve killed these slimes.”
Marashi held out her hand in front of her, “<Summon Shikigami: Hikari>!” Her white and red shikigami appeared in front of her, “Focus on damaging the slimes around us. If you see any extra, let us know.”
Hikari nodded and went to attack some of the nearby slimes using her, for a lack of a better term, martial arts skills… though maybe attempts would be better. Either way, that would be okay for now. Marashi drew her single katana blade and targeted one of the nearby slimes. She activated <Leaping Apricot Technique> to appear in front of her target and instantly activated <Exorcism of a Cursed Lotus>. She slashed and stabbed forward at her target, and its health dropped quickly. She passively had bonus damage thanks to her alchemist’s ability of <Transmutation> which was a great help. After a moment, the slime exploded into bubbles, and Marashi turned to another slime to attack.

Tristan felt like she was doing pretty well for herself. She swung her mighty Claymore around with more ease than she thought she would. She actually found it extremely enjoyable. As more slimes came out of the tall grass around them, she pulled the mighty blade out of the earth and hurled herself at the approaching enemies on her side. With heafty swing after heafty swing, she struck down the approaching slimes, her massive blade quickly reducing each to a mere sparkle of data. With a circular overhead strike she brought the blade down into her fifth total slime, the blade sticking once more into the earth. One of the green bastards, wether out of actual strategy or plain stupidity launched itself at her back from behind. Seeing it, she quickly spun around, batting it to the side with her arm using [Counter Break] before using the inertia to rip the sword from the earth with her other arm and, grabbing it with both mid-pull, brought it crashing down into the bugger. More and more slimes began oozing their way in through the grass. [Parry]-ing another before cleaving it, and blocking yet another, she called to the rest of the party. "I've gotten seven-" her sword fell upon another, spilling it into a burst of bubbles. "-Make that eight dead over here! How's everyone else doing?" Tags: Megumi Daggerfel @quilava Jade
