Bestiary for reference: log-horizon.proboards.com/thread/37/bestiaryWe'd also like to ask for feedback on monsters available in the area for characters to fight against. Generally monster concepts are a lot easier to implement compared to skills, so if you have anything that seems to fit the setting of Log Horizon, post it here! We'd preferably like more monsters of Normal/Strong tier though, as having too many field bosses slightly defeats the purpose of making them very rare opponents. Here is the standard template:
Name (the monster's name) Level Range Type (signifies the monster's racial affinities; certain skills and effects utilize this information) Rank (describes the monster's relative battle strength) - Normal = a common monster type that can be found readily in the area
- Strong = a monster whose battle ability is slightly elevated; they are a little rarer and should be considered about 1-2 levels higher than the listed level)
- Elite = a rare monster of considerable power; fight with caution and treat them as though they were about 5 levels higher than the listed level)
- Field Boss = monsters that rarely spawn at certain times in the day which can bring trouble to even well-prepared parties; the cream of the crop of monsters, consider them at least 10 levels higher than listed.)
Location (describes where the monster can be found; depending on the level of the area, many monsters can be found in similarly-leveled areas across the land) Weakness/Resistances (indicates the monster's elemental and status weaknesses and resistance, read more here.) Description of the monster (describe the monster's appearance, lore, and battle style)

Ascot Crab (lvl 4-8) NORMAL mob.
Nicknamed "apricot" due to its bright shell, the Ascot Crab ranges from one to two meters in terms of body length. Despite its large size and high defense, it has low intelligence and is quite predictable, suitable as training partners for beginners. They will appear en masse like bubbles during certain season, damaging the surrounding fields. Hated by farmers but are famous for their delicious meat.
Goblin Shaman (level 29-33) NORMAL mob.
Among the Goblin forces exist the Goblin Shamans. They are known for having magical prowess and the ability to cast several spells. Their spell repertoire consists of mostly low level spells, making them difficult opponents for inexperienced players. Though not a powerful threat on their own, Goblin Shamans can be troublesome when allied with Goblins of different jobs.
Similar to other Magic type monsters, Goblin Shamans are arrogant, wear paper-thin armor and have extremely low HP. These, coupled with the fact that they prefer to fight in the front lines, make it easier to defeat the monster.
Rat-man (level 15-45) NORMAL mob.
Rat-Men are Demi-Human monsters whose levels range from 15 to 45. They are humanoid rats, standing on their hind legs with the height of that of a middle schooler, covered with smooth and seemingly moist fur. They are known for wearing articles of clothing notably scarfs around their necks and also for carrying and using weapons like knives.
Compared to other monsters of the same type, Rat-Men have relatively low battle prowess. However, they have a high reproduction rate and usually appear in large groups. They generally ignore players as long as the latter does not disturb them. However, when approached or cornered, Rat-Men are known to attack and can prove to be deadly because of their ability to cause the plague status.
Skeleton (level 11-63) NORMAL mob.
Skeletons are the most well known kind of Undead monsters. Formed when graveyard or dungeon bones are injected with a certain magical power, the Skeleton, with its body of bones, is very light and fast but has low durability. Often times equipped with the weapons and armors they used when they were alive, Skeletons are slightly stronger than an average fighter.
Skeleton Archer (level 12-63) NORMAL mob.
A reanimated skeleton equipped with bow and arrows, the Skeleton Archer is a formidable opponent with ranged attacks. With its hollow body structure, piercing attacks are likely to miss, thereby giving it an advantage against arrow attacks from adventurers.[1] The most common counter-attacks are to either destroy them in close-combat, or use a wide-area ranged attack to guarantee a hit.
Triffid (level TOO DAMN HIGH) NORMAL mob.
A Triffid is a giant carnivorous plant monster located in the Archive Tower Forest near Akiba. It has a large teeth-filled "mouth" in the middle of its head, surrounded by four petals, with teeth growing on the edges, and four green and pink leaves sprout in between them. The head is connected to a thick green body that ends in multiple ground-covered roots. Numerous vines with budding pink flowers grow from its body.
The Triffid is an aggressive monster. It uses its vines to lash and grab its enemy and slowly pull it towards its mouth.
Undine (level 19-43) NORMAL mob.
Undines are spirits with the ability to control water. With their powerful abilities and beautiful appearance, Undines are quite popular amongst Summoners who can make a contract with them after fulfilling specific quests. After the Apocalypse, their ability to produce water makes adventurers hold them in high regard.
These are all monsters which appear in canon in the Log horizon universe.

Name: Green Sea Turtle Level 25 - 55 Type: Beast Rank: Strong Location: Coasts, River Thames, Seas & Swamps Weakness/Resistances: Weak [Fire], Resist [Physical, Water], Null [Mind] Large and heavy green skinned turtles, with smooth, brownish carapaces. Except for sunbathing and egg laying, these turtles rarely venture out onto land, and tend to stick close to the waters when they do, as they are slow and ungraceful outside of the water. This makes fighting them without underwater support difficult, as they are more than likely to retreat to the waters than put up a fight. Physical attacks are not recommended, due to the turtle's tough outer shell. They can generally be found around coasts and large bodies of water, though the rare turtle has been found in lakes or rivers.
