This was all very new. The feeling of being in a new world, smelling a different air and seeing a different sun. Holly didn't know what had happened, but he knew he wasn't in his room anymore. This world was different. As he looked over himself for possibly the hundredth time, Holly was still dumbfounded by the fact that he was in the body of his avatar. On one hand, he was definitely enjoying his new body (albeit, he was still finding himself adjusting to it). However, on the other he was wondering what the hell had actually happened. What kind of disaster was this? He had just tried to log into Elder Tale to start up for the first time and all of a sudden, he's was put into the game? It seemed too unreal to be true, yet he was living in this world. It's something gamer nerds like him only dream about and considering his life in the real world, he was welcoming this change of pace. The parliament building was quite lively. It had seemed that there were people who were still trying to figure things out as well and even start up parties of their own. That wasn't uncommon in the mmorpg gaming world, but actually living in said world might be different. Holly was slightly concerned with how to approach this. Should he approach this as a game, a living world or both? One thing was for sure, Holly would more than likely be sought out by other adventurers seeking parties. Being a Guardian, a tanking class, he would be most essential for a party to proceed anywhere. Especially out in the wild where the mobs were. "I guess I should start one myself," he spoke softly to himself as he stood, his lance and shield place along his back. Eyes scanned the player base and wondered if there could be anyone that he may have known trapped here as well. "Let's go." 329 no one happy adventuring LAIKA OF GS!

'well this is... awkward.' Sanyu said to himself, realizing that he was no longer in his world. This was definitely Elder Tale, he could already tell from the fact that when he spoke, it wasn't his voice but a girl's voice. He always saw his character as cute, but never wanted to become her. He liked having a penis, just because he's gay doesn't mean he wanted to change genders. He also realized that he was stronger than he normally was, which is kind of a stab at his ego since he's a girl now, but his plate armor was heavy. Exploiting the blacksmith system was so much better when he wasn't actually a mage using such heavy armor. Oh well, at least he still has a bli... 'Why am I level... where are all my abilities?!'
Oh god, he's level one again, all he has is his ability to enchant his weapon with electricity, he'll have to level up all over again. Unfortunately, leveling up solo was hard for him for the first couple of levels until he obtained more abilities that allowed him to solo most of the way, that was no longer the case. He 'd need to join a party for a while, maybe even a guild.
He went over to the parliament building in hopes of finding essential classes to join with, a tank and a healer was really all that was needed. Looking around at other people's status bars he saw a guardian. 'Score!' He walked over to the guy and tapped his shoulder. "We should level together!"

WORDS TAGS NOTES LYRICS W/E ? | What to do, what to do? Cassiopeia, Death Lotus as she was called in the world of Elder Tale, wandered about with a panicked expression on her face. There were people everywhere, and she could only assume that they were very much like her. They were brought into this world without any clue as to why or how, and nobody was sure as to what to make of it. There were some that seemed more accepting than others, but Cassiopeia was more realistic in her perception of the world. The world wasn't their own, it wasn't the real world, and there had to be a way out of the game.
After a short while, she managed to find herself in the menu of the game. If not for her surprise at suddenly appearing in the game world, she may have thought to check her menu sooner. Everything seemed normal, as normal as things could be considering the situation, but one thing stood out. She tapped the log out button frantically, desperately hoping it was some glitch in the system that prevented her from leaving. Lag maybe, it had to be. She convinced herself that it was just that, but quickly abandoning the thought for more panic. Oblivious to her surroundings, she tripped over a stone, stumbling forward and into a crowd of people. Their startled and annoyed shouts filled the streets near the old parliament building, the name clumsy assassin said over and over again.
"Sorry, excuse me, sorry," she cried until she landed with a thud in front of a newly forming party.
She looked up to see she had fallen at their feet, her face burning a bright red at the realization of how pathetic she looked. Not wanting to stick around for their laughter at her expense, Cassiopeia jumped up to her feet, going from zero to sixty in a moment. A streak of dust trailed her path for a short while before dispersing. Everyone would lose sight of her as she exited the city.

[attr="class","prty"] | ”What do I do?!”
A wave of panic washed over Sooyoung, her crystal blue eyes staring at the unfamiliar world around her with disbelief heavy in her heart. Just a moment prior she had been sitting in her room, staring at her character, Aria, on her laptop screen, finally created and ready. Now she seemed to be in a totally different world, unable to figure out a way to get back home. This didn’t normally happen to people playing video games, she knew that much for sure. But was there really anything she could do right now…? Looking down at her clothes, Sooyoung could tell that she had somehow become her online avatar. Her rather revealing top and painted blue fingernails gave it all away.
”My manager’s going to be so mad…” the young girl thought to herself, letting loose a sigh as she felt the stress building up already. Her schedule was pretty lax comparatively but she was still a rather busy person. There was only supposed to be practice today but it would be pretty disastrous to miss even that, she’d imagine. With that thought, she found it difficult to entertain the idea of just trying to enjoy herself. Still, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief deep in her heart. It almost felt like an opportunity to forget about the real world, about all of her responsibilities, and to stop keeping up a sort of charade like she had been for the past few years.
Shaking her head free from those thoughts, Sooyoung decided to just go with the flow. Because there wasn’t anything she could do, she would just have to stop thinking about everything. For now, she would need to figure out some sort of way to pass the time. What was there to do in this game anyway…? Truthfully speaking, the girl didn’t know how to do anything here. She knew nothing of the way MMO’s worked and was oblivious to things like common game jargon and whatnot. Maybe someone would be willing to help her out?
Looking around, she scanned the area, eventually setting her sights upon a rather large building. There seemed to be a lot of people there.
Heading over, Sooyoung stared about with a perplexed expression on her face. There was a lot of chatter in the air and people were asking her things like what class she was, if she wanted to join their party. Like, what the hell? Why would she want to party in this kind of situation? Some people in the world really were too carefree…
As that thought occurred to her, a girl would trip and fall nearby with the force of a great typhoon. Evidently embarrassed, the stranger had fled as swift as the coursing river. With her identity still as mysterious as the dark side of the moon, Sooyoung herself just sort of… blinked a few times. |

Being experienced to the MMORPG world really had its benefits. Holly knew exactly what to look for when forming groups, parties and raids. Depending on certain obstacles at hand, he always tried to calculate just how many of a certain class he would need to clear a dungeon or a raid. He approached this in a similar way. However, he decided to take extra caution when wanting to find people to party with. Being one of the main tanking classes (if not the only true tank), he knew many people would be after him in terms of party invites. He was right. People kept on asking him as he kept strolling with the town, but he denied them for one reason or another. They seemed to have a group of people who had just wanted to get going, whereas he was hoping for something more. He wanted to start something fresh. "Hm?," his eyes turned as he noticed the voice of a female approach him. He instantly noticed just how much smaller the girl was compared to him, but she was incredibly cute and energetic. However, unlike the others who just seemed to be wanting a tank to get through stuff, her words were different. "You want to level together?," he started. "You know, I've been asked by others around here to join their party and kept saying no. Finding a good party isn't-" His words cut off as commotion occurred just to his side. Well, this was most definitely awkward. A young, red haired female fell toward the ground in such a clumsy manner. He didn't even get to notice her name or anything of that nature before the girl had bolted off, leaving a trail of dust behind her. "Um..," there was a brief yet awkward pause. "Anyways. Like I was saying, finding a good party isn't easy." He glanced over to her status bar and noticed her class was a Sorcerer, one of the strongest ranged classes if he remembered correctly. That was definitely useful. Holly turned his gaze some more and noticed another female, this one a cleric, standing in bewilderment. Evidently the clumsy red head seemed to attract quite the attention. " You okay over there?" 370 no names yet! happy adventuring LAIKA OF GS!

The man turned around and iSanyu noticed he was somewhat attractive, but this technically being a game he could some really old and ugly guy in real life, lets avoid that awkward situation. She realized that the man was beginning to deny him and he began to pout. He should have expected this though, if he was a tank that wasn't already in a party then it must mean he was already denying people. It was at that moment that some red-headed woman fell in front of the two. 'Well that's awkward... hey I wonder if her carpets match the drapes. Wait a minute... do mine?' She thought, though maybe she shouldn't have, not really appropriate. "Ok, so, ignore that, we should level because I said so. Lets form a-" But the man addressed a girl that looked as confused as everyone else, maybe it was because of that other girl. Actually, what class was that other girl? She left in such a hurry, did she plan on fighting on her own? With the state they're in now it'd be better to fight in groups right? The confused girl was a celric, which made things even better. iSanyu grabbed the confused girl's arm and the guardian's arm. "Ok, now we have a tank, dps, and a healer, good party, right? Lets go." He began to pull their arms toward the exit.

[attr="class","prty"] | Dumbstruck momentarily by the rather odd event, Sooyoung found herself a little surprised. Because of the gravity of everyone’s situation, she wasn’t expecting something as silly as someone tripping and causing a bit of a commotion to be the thing to break the ice.
Hearing someone ask her if she’s okay, the girl responded gathered herself before coolly responding, ”Yeah, I’m good. Just wasn’t expecting a klutz to go throwing herself into a bunch of people.” Her words were accompanied by a slight accent, given that she wasn’t a Japanese native, but she spoke intelligibly.
Before she could really think about what she should be doing next, however, a little girl then spoke up, suddenly grabbing Aria’s arm. Listening to the stranger speak, Sooyoung pulled away with a jerk as she responded, ”Don’t grab me all of a sudden. Besides, what the hell did you just say anyway? DPS…?” Her tone was one of genuine curiosity with no intention to offend the other.
Sooyoung found herself put at ease being able to just speak her mind, though it was probable that her rough speech would irritate others. It would shock her fans to see her speaking in such an unfeminine manner, she imagined. |

As the Cleric responded, Holly's eyes looked toward the direction the red haired girl ran off to. He gave a light smile, shaking his head and then turned back toward the Cleric. "Guess you're right." His words were short as the other girl, the Sorcerer, continued to speak. She seemed like she wasn't taking no for an answer. Holly respected that; the type of take charge attitude that he has as well. The issue was if he was going to form some sort of group with anyone, he just wanted to make sure people understood they would be in it for the long haul. Before he realized it, he was already being pulled by the Sorc. He didn't manage to get another word in before he realized that she seemed to know what she was doing. Though, to reaffirm his theory he decided to ask. "You're no stranger to MMO's, huh?," he asked calmly before he noticed the other girl seemingly bothered by the Sorc dragging the two of them along. "And you are," with his free hand he rubbed the back of his head and decided to stop moving with the group. "Alright, alright. First thing's first, if we're gonna party we should at least introduce each ourselves, right? Name's Holly. Guardian. New to Elder Tale, but not MMO's. Though, this is a completely different experience than what I had imagined..actually being in the game and all." His gaze shifted around the area, still trying to understand things. Turning back to the girls, he spoke out once again. "Who might you two be?," there was a short pause before his words continued. "..And do you have any idea how we ended up inside the game?" 287 no names yet! happy adventuring LAIKA OF GS!

The girl rudely pulled away from iSanyu, granted what he was doing warranted the action, he still felt that it was unneeded. He reluctantly let the girl go, pouting once again. He knew MMOs, and they would need levels if they wished to survive, what if they actually die if they're unprepared. They can't live in the towns forever, especially now that he actually has magical abilities. Though her questions confused him. "You don't know what DPS means? Are you new to MMOs? DPS means Damage per second, which is basically what I am since I'm a sorc."
The man wondered if he was experienced with MMOs, which must have been a rhetorical question since it was so obvious. He introduced himself and iSanyu couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "Holly? Isn't that a girl's name? Though, if you're actually a girl then I guess I could understand." He was speaking bluntly, but he didn't really mean to be rude. "I'm iSanyu, I'm a sorc as well as blacksmith, so I wear chain armor." He pointed down to his feet, his shoes being the only visible chain on him."Sadly no, I'm not quite sure what happened, in fact, I'm convinced this is only a dream, but I've heard that you can't dream up new faces, and I don't particularly recognize yours, or the red-head's." She pointed her thumb toward the exit that the girl that had tripped left through.

[attr="class","prty"] | Aria wasn’t quite sure how she felt about how transparent it was that she was new to video games in general. But it was something she couldn’t deny either. None of the terminology being used made much of any sense to her. Listening to the stranger speak, it was evident that the word “party” wasn’t actually referring to a festive celebration of sorts. Well, it was probably better to be honest about it anyway. Otherwise, she’d just be confused for however long they’d all be stuck in Elder Tale for.
Leaving that aside, she figured she’d listen to the others as they introduced themselves. They seemed like nice enough people, so Sooyoung wouldn’t mind getting to know them a little better.
”Holly, huh? That’s a pretty cute name. My character’s name is Aria, so I guess you can call me that. It’s not like I can give my real name to strangers, yeah? Anyway, I’ve never played a video game in my life.”
Well, she knew what DPS meant now, so she supposed had taken a step forward from “never played a video game,” she supposed.
Looking at the smaller girl, Sooyoung would say, ”I’ll just call you Sanyu. The ‘i' in the front would be awkward to say every time.” She figured that should be okay. People often put random characters in their online handles but it’s not like as if they were intended to be pronounced, right?
”Hah! If only this were a dream…” the girl would respond to iSanyu. Depending on how long they would be locked in this game, Sooyoung could see her being given quite the tongue lashing from her manager if her career didn’t crumble altogether. She would soon continue, ”But nah, I don’t have any idea how we got here. That aside though, what are we supposed to do in the meanwhile? We should treat this as our lives, yeah? You think that red-headed klutz will be okay?”
It was a bit of a headache having to think about all of this. In fact, Sooyoung was thinking it might be better to just forget about how they got here and just, well, play the game. Maybe someone else would figure it out…? |

Holly listened to the two girls talk for a moment in regards to games and mmos and began to wonder what would happen to them as time went on. Clearly, Holly knew that he was bound to be locked away into this world for quite some time. A part of him was already happy with that outcome. However, there was still some fear dwelling within him. Some doubt that made him uncomfortable with everything. Will they ever get out? Paying a bit closer attention to the Cleric and the Sorc, he listened toward the two of them introduce themselves and comment on his on in game name. Crossing his arms, he spoke out with a bit of confidence. "Holly is a good name, man. And i'm not really that creative..," his arms dropped as his words ended. "Anyways, it's nice to meet the two of you." His gaze shifted around a bit more. "I'm gonna do the same and call you Sanyu, but either way you're right. This little group here works out if we end up deciding to level up together. We can't stay in this town forever." He had commented on an earlier thought of the three of them just partying up and working together to progress in this world. It worked out for the three of them to be honest. This party was well made, but since there was one person who was brand new to video games, it might be tough. Listening toward the others speak once again about the red haired girl (admittedly, Holly had forgotten about her), he turned his attention and commented. "Huh? Oh um, Iunno. She seemed scared or nervous or something. Do you guys want to try and check on her or something?," he questioned. He thought about it for a short moment, thinking about how that girl might be reacting to such a large, dramatic change. One minute people are in their homes, logging into Elder Tale and then the next they are transported into the game. How it happened, no one seemed to know. If there was a way out, it was definitely hard to figure out since no one has done it yet. All anyone could do was wait it out in their own way. "I can see we're all thinking the same thing," he smiled. "Lets go find her." 392 Sanyu, Aria happy adventuring LAIKA OF GS!

"I still think it sounds like a girl's name, but whatever, and yeah, Sanyu is fine." He nodded, to both of them as they seemed to agree that his name was weird, its more strange that they essentially know his real name, its one thing when its just on the internet, now it seems so real.
They began to worry about the girl that had rushed out, she seemed to be alone, and she seemed quite clumsy. She might get herself killed, but he didn't really want to die, what if its permanent? Just to save some random girl? Unfortunately his guilt would eat away at him if she turned out dead. "Yeah, she might die if she doesn't have any help."
He sighed, what to do? "Well, if we find her, we can force her to join our group, and then we'll level. Lets Go!" He turned around and grabbed Holly's arm, avoiding Aria's since she got all pissy about how pushy he was.

[attr="class","prty"] | ”Die, huh…?” Sooyoung thought to herself, wondering what would happen if they were to die. How does one go about dying in video games anyway…? There was a health value or something, right? After all, her class had a spell that allowed her to restore it. But that aside, it was an important question to consider. What normally happened when a character died in a video game? Did they just reappear somewhere? The same thing should happen then, right? ”This is stupid…” the girl thought to herself as she sighed. She really hated thinking about serious stuff like this. And it wasn’t like she could just forget about it, since, in the worst case scenario, she would have to be extremely careful to preserve herself.
Well, hopefully they’d figure it out without having to test it themselves. Or herself, at any rate. If worst came to worst, she would use one of the two as a scapegoat while she fled to safety, or something along those lines.
Keeping that in mind, she nodded as the others decided to go after the red-headed stranger that had clumsily tripped and ran off. As selfish as her thoughts were, it’s not like Sooyoung actually wished death upon her newfound companions. It’s just, if a desperate circumstance were to occur, she would have no qualms with putting herself first.
Following behind the other two, Sooyoung wondered what it would be like outside of the city. There was a mixed feeling of excitement and dread. Would she be able to forget about their situation and enjoy the game…? Should she? |
