That Alchemist was too eager for results. Mainly in that he had enlisted her as without a moments hesitation, believing his research to be more important then the details or her safety. Tessia was to attempt to successfully track and if possible lure back a Lesser Soil Golem for capture and study by this People of the Land Alchemist. She thought the man truly mad for even thinking this. Having fought them first hand, she knew they were extremely aggressive and would have to be taken apart to be studied.
She had taken this request thinking it would be a nice shift from saving peoples pets, and the long boring days she had spent lately in homesickness. Truly she hoped her Bro was doing well, she missed his camaraderie and nature much like the struggle that was Dark Souls. Thinking back on that simple time, she couldn't help but laugh at the irony now. Trapped in a world not unlike that one, stuck in a eternal loop of never dying and only struggle for the future. She sighed and re-read the battered scroll she was given again for the fourth time, being sue she understood this mad mans plan.
"I have watched them move ever so slightly across the castle grounds. Since they are part Magitech, the do not need worry about there body's failing or them fatiguing. They do not move unless the Castle is threatened or they sense movement. Even a local creature's will trigger them and it seems they now give the Golem's a wide berth. I will leave it up too you to lure one and only one back towards the City. Take care to keep it away from the walls as the Guards will descend to intervene if you don't. Manage to lure the Golem far enough towards the east City's gate and I will be there with my net at the ready." -Madjack.

Still shaking her head even after leaving the odd man's study just on the eastern part of the City, Tessia begins the trek down the well beaten path towards the Windsor Castle. Activating her equip's, she arms herself with the bow and her throwing knives, leaving her Ax put away in the inventory. This would be very dangerous so keeping a distance was ideal. It was easy to aggro the Golem's but not so much to avoid being smacked by them. She recalled her bout with them when securing the Sarum territory, remembering that they had about a good 30 feet of detection radius before animating and moving towards targets vibrations.
It wasn't even the Golem she was worried about, it was the other creatures that may decide to get in the way on her approach, or on the way back. Adjusting her belt quiver and giving the bowstring a quick pluck, she nods and crouches silently and moves into the cover of the brush. As her Father had taught her, keeping the bow up and in front of her but low, she preceded to nudge and push the low brush aside. "Only knock your arrow when you stop moving, and then only when you are sure you are ready to fire." she remembered, smiling gently as she recalled her fist real kill. He was so proud.Concentrating, she soon was within sight of Windsor Castle, it's towering walls covered in vines, and the odd varying level Golem's standing about, some camouflaged with the terrain others in plain sight.
The alchemist had been monitoring them through a rather large telescope in his lab and he was confounded by the creatures. He must have one to study as the Magitech advances could be priceless! She crept forward, estimating that she was just out of range of one of the farthest Golem's from the Castle walls. Taking a knee and bracing against the other, she tugs off her glove that would pull the string, double lacing over the other so that the string would be silent and so that it wouldn't grate her arm. Her hand then brushed a arrow from her belt quiver as she silently observed the 3 story tall target in the distance, ready to knock and fire all at once.

The well lit sky made it easy to see the brown colored Golem against the walls thanks to the green vines. She was sure she could hit it from here. All at once, activating Accel Dance and knocking the arrow, Tessia tugs the string back in one fluid motion and lets fly her first shot. It arced high and nailed the level 15 Golem in the shoulder directly as it suddenly began to writhe to life. Following up with Quick Draw, she looses two more arrows at the Golem's legs, nailing them both for minimal damage. Once Accel Dance cooled, she again activated it and fired again just as the Golem began to advance in her direction, lumbering quickly but not too worried about the minimal damage it had taken.
The idea was to gain enough speed to stay ahead of it, and pelt it like mad with arrows to keeps its aggro on her. It tromped forward and began to swing about a good ten feet from her position. Feeling Accel Dance speeding her shots even more, Tessia stands and stomps the ground to see if she could get it to notice her. Yep. The Golem seemed to turn its faceless face towards her, merely a swirling mass of stone, as it began quickly lumbering towards her. Bolting out of the way easily, she hurls a throwing knife from her pouch at the thing's leg. The Golem groans and pick's up it's pace now, running after her at a full sprint. She took off fast thanks to Accel Dance's speed and kept ahead of it.
Ducking under vines and jumping off of stumps proved faster and easier as the Golem stayed on her heels, agile and quick for such large bruisers. The Golem seemed truly intent to catch her as Tessia sped along, covering almost half the way back already, she turned and loosed three more arrows to annoy the Golem even more. It seemed to pound at the ground and suddenly pick up a nearby tree trunk and hurled it in her direction. Launching herself to the right of it, she managed to draw a knife mid air and chunk it at the things body. She really was only doing minute damage and was attempting to annoy i more than anything.
However as she landed, Tessia didn't see the protruding branch that the flying trunk had caused to poke up out of the ground. She yelped loudly as she tumbled, the branch stabbing into her shoulder as she twisted off of it to snap the thin thing off at the start of her shoulder. Her HP bar already close to yellow, she kneels and growls in anger as she yanks the irritating spine of branch free and stands to toss it at the Golem too. It once more growles and tramples her way as she shrugs and bolts away once more, readying another knife just as her Accel Dance cool-down had ended. Things just got a lot tougher.

Tossing another knife behind her at the rampaging Golem, Tessia feels another level of Accel take her senses over. It truly was a nice rush of speed something that was reliable in this game world reality that wasn't in the real one. I allowed her, as long as she remained in range of the Golem, to exceed her natural speed and move and attack even faster than usual. The Golem screeched at her as it fumbled about trying to pick up another trunk. She couldn't have that.
Using her new-found speed, Tessia thought she'd attempt what she had seen her father do a few times. Drawing three arrows from her belt quiver, she knocks them and twists the feathers of the arrows so that the string will rotate them as she releases them. Just as the Golem scrounges around to pick up another trunk, she releases all three arrows aimed at the Golem's hand. Nailing it all three times, the Golem howls and drops the log it was attempting to pick up. Tessia stands for a moment and regards the creature with a slight grin before dashing off once more, it hot on her trail angry as a hornet. She could already see the City Gates in the distance as she lured the Golem along, it smashing and growling loudly through the forest.
Luckily, she hadn't come across any other creature's willing to get in the way of a rampaging Golem. Ducking and rolling past some brush, she could feel the tremors of the advancing Golem just behind her, intent on paying her back for all the damage she had been causing it. Only causing around fifteen percent damage of its max health didn't seem like much but it was certainly enough to annoy the thing. Speeding along the outer forests edge, Tessia noticed several nearby adventuress eyeing her like she was nuts, as she turned and tossed another knife to gain another stack of Accel. The Golem rampaged along after her, intent on catching her as it swiped and grabbed at her fleeing form just as she entered the East side of the City's residence. She noticed it just as she hopped along the City edge, there was a odd magic circle on the ground that she had jumped past just as the Golem came running up behind her.

Taking a moment to catch her breath as the Golem lumbered into the magic circle, Tessia noted a quick flash of silver light as the Golem suddenly stopped moving. She eyed the Alchemist emerging from his home and approaching the circle, looking thrilled that he had finally got one caught. The Golem on the other hand didn't seem too happy about it's current predicament. It glowered its misshapen face at the Alchemist and Tessia but was unable to struggle thanks to the magic binding it's limbs.
Tessia was in a moment of indecision, she did not really know what this man's intentions were, let alone what would happen if the Golem got loose. Would it be on her head if it suddenly started thrashing the town? The Alchemist Madjack walked up to the circle and began fumbling with a scroll and ink tipped feather. He was writing fervently as he tracked the surge of energy from the Golem's core throughout it's framework. As she looked on, Tessia felt odd watching the Golem's wires and markings on it's body, as if she could possibly translate it somehow into working MagiTech.
Too engrossed in his notes, Tessia slipped out of her armor top and began to trace how the wires curved in and out of the Golem's core. How the odd markings across it's body lit and glowed with the residual energy from that core, back and forth lazily giving it a dim lit glow. This could be imitated but, to what end and purpose? She would stealthily take her leave of the Alchemist Madjack and his studies as she headed for the Market to attempt something new that she had in mind.
