Vaan dashed behind cover, pulling his sidearm out of its holster, and placing himself against the wall. He was crouched down, keeping his eye on his left, from where he had just run from. He peered from the side for just a moment, and retreated back behind his cover. Taking the pistol in both his hands now, he braced himself for his next move, which was going to be incredibly stupid. He leaped from the cover, and started to charge back down the street. He held the weapon up with both hands, aiming down, seeing nothing. Vaan ran to his right side now, and took cover again, advancing up the street quickly. He had previously been attacked by a Yellow, who was shooting lightning towards him, but he wasn't alone. There was a large group of Yellows in the area, searching for the sole Red, Vaan. Hunting the lesser Colors was a new pastime for these guys, and they decided to choose Vaan today. He returned his other hand to the katana in its sheath, waiting for someone else to make the next move.

Rapid footsteps padded along the pavement, weaving in and out of the crowd as lightning cracked at her feet - just barely dodging the bolts of electricity. Strung by a delicate silver chain, a White marbled pendant beat against her chest as she ran. Making a sharp turn into another street in hopes of losing her attackers, she was met with another bolt of lightning. Without much time to react, she held her palm out to create a thin shield of ice. It immediately shattered upon impact, forcing her to lose her balance as her body slid against the ground. She clutched her affected hand against her chest, dark red hair covering her agonized expression. The redhead could hear echoed cries of triumph nearby. Why were these people attacking her? Rather, she felt hunted.
She couldn't stay there and ponder, though. She had to keep moving.
With a small cringe, the redhead stood up and began to dart down the street again. The shouting was getting louder. Then make another turn. But what if they're on the rooftops too? Making the mistake of looking up while on the run, she collided into a body. With a startled yelp, she threw out her unharmed hand and sliced through the air, sending a spew of icicle daggers out towards a man in a white jacket.

ImageShe ran a hand through her hair once, fingering the purple ribbon attached to the side of her silvery hair and making sure the loops wouldn't come undone. Her hair was fairly long, after all. She walked carefully, with measured steps, careful not to attract too much attention. What was a pollutant, really? A scourge, something harmful? Then, were these hunters not toxins themselves? Had she been someone else, she might have mockingly said that because they were toxins, she could wreck them. I can control the darkness and taint in people's hearts nyeeeeh. But she was not that person. Well, it wasn't entirely wrong to say that she was a hunter of hunters. No one was allowed to make a mess in her district, they might ruin her tea house. And that, that would be very bad. Unfortunately, this prey had little idea what she could do in this situation. It wasn't like she could pull the toxins right out of the sewer. It was a little too conspicuous. So... she decided to give someone allergies. And by that, she meant a rather slow gust of wind swept some pollen and dog hair and such upwards right onto someone who was moving forward. A startled sneeze and the beginnings of hay fever caused the poor fool to tumble down. Good for him. Wrecked. She continued to walk forwards, taking her calm, measured steps. Hopefully no one noticed her as she took the side streets about the apparent prey and predators.

Vaan was caught off guard by the redhead appearing and slamming right into him, which knocked him forward a few steps, before quickly turning back around. He looked just in time to see the blades of ice being shot directly at him, to which he attempted to retaliate. Vaan unsheathed his katana, and a trail of fire followed after the blade, creating a makeshift wall of flame. This wouldn't be enough to stop the chilly blades, but it would help him move away. He ducked down and to the side, flourishing the fire above himself as he rolled, trying to create a heat index enough for the frozen weapons to lose much of their stability. As he regained his composure and managed to get back into a crouching position, he pointed his pistol at the girl. "Hold up!" He shouted, weapons at the ready. "I'm not your enemy here! However, if you continue to attack, I will be forced to retaliate further!" He didn't need some random woman causing him problems as he already had to deal with the Yellows that were chasing him.

Atlas watched all the commotion below as he strolled along the tops of the buildings, adjusting his green wristband every now and then. "Come on. It's one guy, you can take 'im," he said to himself. Yellows weren't really anything to be scared of, just something unexpected. Kind of like a joy buzzer: not really dangerous, just an annoying bolt of electricity. Another source of movement caught his eye, the falling form of a sneezing man hitting his eyes and the smell of some horrid aroma hitting his nose. Phew. Must be a Purple nearby. Unable to concentrate, Atlas climbed down the building and walked over to the sneezing man. Unfortunately, whoever (or whatever) was the source of the smell was long gone. He looked up and down the sidewalk, seeing only regular passerby. However, a brief glimpse of something purple caught his eye, apparently up ahead mingled in with the group of people headed north. He rolled up the sleeves of his jacket before putting his hands in his pockets, walking forward at a brisk pace to see where this Purple was going.

The woman, Zephyr, stumbled a few steps back from the heat emitted from the wall of fire. Hunching over to catch her breath, she airily apologized to the man who most likely had the upper hand here. Being a thin woman of small stature, she was light on her feet with fairly quick reflexes (although, not as much as a Blue). But because she lacks muscle, she does not pose as much of a physical threat to her opponents.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," Zephyr said to him when he made it clear that he was not a Yellow. The redhead looked up, not to see the angered face of the Red, but to be looking down the barrel of a pistol. Her eyes widened a bit as she continued to stare into the chamber. "I didn't meant to attack you. I just thought you were one of them." Zephyr's panicked eyes flickered to stare at the man behind the gun. "Please don't shoot."

Still too conspicuous. She didn't exactly notice she was being followed, just that there was someone behind her. Which was a little conspicuous in and of itself, but she didn't dare glance backwards. She kept a calm walk forward and kept her eyes on the duo bickering, quietly wondering why it was that they were fighting with each other considering the Yellows were after them. She had incapacitated one, perhaps, but there were more. There were always more. And then Vaan pulled out a gun, which was just great for not escalating tensions. Just great. She continued her walk around the side streets, wondering just how far the guy behind her was going to follow, if he was following at all. She turned a corner, only to run face first into a man wearing a yellow bandana. The arc of lightning that burst forward grazed her hair as she gently moved to the side. Was that guy still behind her? Did Vaan and Zephyr notice a burst of lightning shoot out from the alley she turned into? What to do, what to do? The Yellow had noticed her purple ribbon and made some rather quick assumptions about her based on her fashion sense, and was now sneering. Why did so many people know about the Purples anyway? She and her kin were generally unknown and under the radar, just considered to be one of the lesser colors that killed themselves off. Oh and they were apparently monsters, which made her easy prey and 'justifiable'. Well now she was stuck.
loljk. The Yellow's pants suddenly fell to his knees, almost as if what was holding it up had been corroded away. There seemed to be a fray against his undies as well, right across the side and threatening to rip completely and let the whole thing fall off. Suddenly Yellow-senpai was more concerned about his dignity than anything else. As he hurried to pull his own pants up, she calmly turned around and walked back out of the alley. Whether Atlas was behind her or not, she had no clue.

Vaan kept his finger off the trigger the whole time, since bullets in this day and age were expensive. He only really used the pistol as a method to ward off would-be attackers. He stood up slowly, and spun the gun around in his hand, placing it back in its holster on his left leg. He looked at this girl, who had just begun to apologize for attacking him, yet she didn't seem to be so worried about him. She seemed to have been much more terrified of the fact that he had a gun in his hand. However, this girl was definitely a White. She was not his enemy. And, thanks to her explaining that she had been chased down by some Yellows as well, they were allies in this case. Well, not so much allies, but more The Enemy of my Enemy type. Vaan relaxed his stance, but kept his eyes on the girl, before walking by her. He kept his katana in hand, and leaned against the wall, looking out into the alleyway that the girl had just come from. "I'm guessing you're in the same predicament I am." He said, nonchalantly.
Taking a second to turn back to the girl, he introduced himself. "I'm Vaan. And I'm not going to shoot you." This was, of course, if she female didn't attack him herself. Reds don't have a lot of fighting capability, as Fire has its limits. But, Vaan was trained by the Red Leader himself in martial arts and use of guns. He could hold his own in a fight, even without the use of his Red. Just as he was turning back around, he saw a flash of lightning appear before his eyes in the alleyway perpendicular to where he was already. Vaan looked back at Zephyr, and nodded. He drew the pistol once more, to see the battle before them, with the Purple emerging the victor. He decided not to make a move, but his natural reaction was to get this girl's attention. "Hey!" He shouted, after the Purple female. He kept his weapons in his hands, just in case this girl should turn around and attack them. Yeah, them. Vaan was going to include Zephyr in his thoughts, for now. She was, after all, one of the hunted, like himself.

Just as Atlas was about to dismiss the Purple Miss as just another random passerby who liked to accessorize, the girl just had to go and hide behind a corner. Of course, this piqued the young inquisitive man. That and the fact that a freakin' bolt of lightning burst from the same spot she ducked into was enough cause for investigation. He rounded the corner to find not only the Purple Miss, but also a pants-less Yellow. Combined with him being a Green, the sight looked like the result of a hung-over rainbow voiding its stomach of the contents from a night of partying with other celestial wonders Lemme tell ya, that aurora borealis is a party animal.
Before he could come up with some witty quip to describe the situation, he heard something from across the way. The Red he saw from earlier was shouting at them, packing a piece and a White. He took his fists out of his pockets, just in case the two had hostile intentions. Seeing as how Mr. Red wasn't filling the three of them with holes, there was probably a 15% chance he was friendly. Hell, maybe even 30%. Either way, he got himself up against the wall as the two came closer. Just in case someone wanted to be a dishonorable fool and hit him from behind.

Letting out a quiet sigh of relief when he lowered his weapon, her attention turned to the alleyway Vaan had shouted towards. "My name's Zephyr, and I really appreciate..." The redhead began to return the introduction, but trailed off while she squinted down the passageway. There, stood a young woman with a Purple ribbon in her hair and a... "Is that a Yellow with his trousers at his ankles?"
"Erm..." She blinked rapidly, and glanced away awkwardly. Turning her head to look at him, she said, "Yeah, I was just headed to the market when they started zapping at me. I'm not really well-versed in combat, so all I could do is run."
Being a White meant that she was one of the lesser colors. Back home, it never occurred to her how elitist others were. But moving to Tokyo made the hierarchy of the spectrum very clear to her. The reason Zephyr joined in the first place was because she and her family were from a long line of Whites. She was raised learning her skills as part of a culture and a community. She had always been passive when it came to conflict since she wasn't necessarily brougtht up to fight. Zephyr stared at her wounded hand. Maybe that had to change.

Ayayayayaya, just how messed up had this situation gotten? She turned around, noting that the guy who had been following her was now up against a wall. Smart move. Although she didn't know who Atlas was (or even his name for that part), he was at least intelligent enough to not get caught in any crossfire. Some unknown guy, not particularly exciting. Just tall. And conveniently following her around. Whatever, she hadn't used any ability that was inherently Purple, nor was her purple ribbon entirely out of fashion. The Yellow had just assumed she was a Purple, but were these guys assuming the same when she hadn't done anything overtly... Whatever. Vaan was clearly a red, he threw flames from his sword. And Zephyr, Zephyr was... well, she thought she had seen some ice, but she couldn't be sure. What was the color scheme again? Yellow for Lightning, Blue for Water, Green for Earth... and the lower colors kind of just fell through. Red was Fire, and... muh. It wasn't like she had much contact with the other colors and, frankly, she hadn't seen a single Purple in the entire city since she had moved. But apparently the bloodlust of her kinsmen was well known.
Guns though? That's rude, Vaan. Especially after she had given him tea for a mere 50 yen? Rude, rude, rude. The silver-haired girl stepped out of the alleyway and advanced slowly towards Vaan and Zephyr, crimson eyes gleaming quietly. Her hands were behind her back, making motions for Atlas to get lost. If he was going to make an escape from a confrontation, now was his chance. The Yellow already vanished, so... If Atlas didn't move, she couldn't be responsible for him sticking around to deal with Yellows or trigger-happy Vaan and his comrade, Zephyr. She simply stared Vaan down, the air growing just a little heavier around them, and smiled gently. "Nice to see you again. I'd invite you to my place, but the teashop is closed right now." Crimson orbs flicked over to stare down Zephyr as well. What were they thinking? What assumptions were they making? The only thing she knew for sure was that Vaan here was a Red, and that people seemed awfully prone to jumping to conclusions about who she was.

Atlas let out a sigh once he saw everyone being chummy and friendly with each other (despite some members giving pointed glares to others). However, friendliness doesn't bring about fights, and right now, Atlas was itching for one. He felt confrontational today, especially seeing those Yellows from before go around and harass whatever other color they outnumbered.
Introductions to perfectly random strangers wasn't really his thing, and right now, his best chance for a fight was running (maybe even waddling) away. "Well, glad everybody's best of friends now. Now, if you'll excuse me." And with that, Atlas rounded the corner and took off after the Yellow, (who had now gotten pants back on, thank goodness). Seeing that the Yellow hadn't noticed him, he decided to make this a fair, honorable fight by letting out a loud "OI!" before rushing him. The poor fool didn't stand a chance as Atlas grabbed him by the collar of whatever it was he was using for covering and hoisted him up in the air.
"Where's your friends, huh?!" he yelled as he shook him around. "Isn't that how you lot operate? Pick on the ones with no chance of defending themselves?" The Yellow tried to say something, but Atlas was shaking him too much to understand what exactly it was he was saying. Just at that point, the other Yellows from before popped out one of the alleys. Three of them, four if you count the coward who was struggling to get out of Atlas's iron grip. "Aww, what's wrong? Wanna hide behind your buddies there?" The Yellow nodded, trying not to whimper too much as the other Yellows began to advance towards the two. Atlas turned to look at them, a manic smile slowly creeping onto his face before turning back to the one he was holding up.
"Then I guess I have no choice but to oblige to your request." No sooner were the words out of his mouth before he flung the Yellow at his backup. The whole group went down under the weight of the sniveling female-harasser. Atlas waited as the four got up before he sauntered over, his hands placed back in his pockets as he waited for their next move.

Vaan's golden eyes lit up for a moment when the female Purple had turned around. A slightly shocked expression spread across his face, as he started to put the gun back into its holster on his right side. "Oh, it's you." He said. "Sorry, didn't mean to startle you. I'm assuming you realize the number of Yellows around. I was just being cautious, sorry." Vaan explained in a casual manner, but is usual frown stayed. "Nice to see you again. I just wish it were under other circumstances. And, thanks again for the tea." With that, Vaan looked to see the other man heading through the alleyway towards the Yellow that the tea shop keeper had dealt with, in a rather interesting way. The Green was leaving them alone, so Vaan didn't need to worry about that guy anymore. Good, less people to worry about, the better. That is, until, he grabbed the Yellow, and eventually some backup arrived. Vaan rolled his eyes and grunted, drawing both his pistol and katana from their places. The Yellows seemed less than happy about their comrade being thrown at them, which could only mean a fight was brewing.
Vaan ran over towards Atlas, taking note of the expression on his face as the Green casually made his way in front of the Yellows. Vaan knew exactly how those guys would react to that, and he needed to act faster. The Yellows were standing up, and Vaan was still a good distance away, so he generated flames beneath his heels, and created a makeshift rocket beneath his feet. He glided across the ground, drawing the katana back, and swinging at the first Yellow who had gotten up. He was countered by a flash of lighting just across his cheek, but managed to land a slice on the Yellow's arm. Vaan discharged the flame from below his heels, and put it below the flat of his foot, and jumped up and over. His feet landed on the side of a building, and propelled himself off it using a bit more flame. He generated a curtain of fire around himself, and drove himself into the Yellow that he was attacking already, burning them severely. Vaan got back up, and turned around with the blade pointing diagonally to the ground, while holding the pistol out. Flames emanated from his feet, and made some kind of a pulsating wave that moved in a wide upward cone.
