The A40, or what was left of it. There aren't many maps available to players since no one has had time to work on doing anything but leveling their combat. What has Kay been up to in the three days since the Apocalypse? Getting herself killed trying to get stronger. This was her first role playing game, her first video game if you don't count random mobile games from her cell phone's app store. She quite liked the Sudoku game. But nothing she played in the past could have prepared her for this. When she signed up, she picked a random class and subclass. What was she supposed to do as a physician anyway? She was dying several times a day and making absolutely no progress for leveling. Every time she got exp, she would lose it due to the respawn penalty. There's only so much she could do by punching things and cutting them with her little dagger things, kunai is what they're called. They looked like karambits in the character creation screen, but they don't handle like them. Or maybe she was just using them wrong. Other than the kunai in their leather sheaths attached to her nylon belt, she didn't have any other weapons. She was wearing a tight black cloth armor top that tucked under the same ratty old trousers that exposed her calves that she's had since she got here. In fact, the only things she's had to buy are food and drink, she hadn't thought to buy new clothes or weapons. What good would other weapons do for her anyway if she's a hand-to-hand class? She paced on the road near the border between the city safety area and the maze of destroyed buildings and trees that make up the wilds before A40 crosses the M25 and becomes M40. She knew enough about the roads to know the M40 is probably the best way to get up to Manchester. It was the route that they took on her school trip to London when she was in primary school. What she didn't know was how to survive the trip there. She's made the same mistake three times already now. She walks the A40 for a few hours, then is attacked by monsters she can't defeat and is sent back to Westminster Abbey. If this was still a computer game, she would have given up and went on with her life. This was her life, now. So she needed to do something different to make the trip... lukavminaev

So, this may be the right time to jump off. “Heyya” jumping down from these rubbles is a little hard then it seems. Then again, I don’t even know how I was gotten onto that high. I just remembered that I was having fun there, enjoying my rest while avoiding from some monsters that cannot climb, and giving my character time to replenish HP and MP. Although the reason I am amused right now is more because I have watched the struggle of a girl that I am approaching right now. She may have an iron will or maybe a bold reason of why she gone through coming back from abbey to face them again. Well yeah, I was also have a fight with some boars, several minutes after been thrown to this game world, also I was dead and resurrected in abbey, just like her. That maybe why I can somehow relate to what she feels right now. Although I still don’t see where she want to go on this ruined highway. The highway may still have a moderate amount of its sturdiness, and so several abandoned cars with corroded interior are scattering on it. According to my sister back then in real world, this game world landscapes are designed exactly like real world landscapes, but by making it in half size. However, several famous landmarks somehow still attain their actual size, I don’t know why. For me now to watch the girl comes again even after defeated by a gang of monsters is enough to burn my passion again. I was about to help her when she get defeated on her first try, but I am still recuperating. She may faintly heard me shouting ‘watchoooout’ back then, from afar.
I come to the girl side, while she currently deep in thought about something. Maybe deciding whether she want to go or not, I don’t know. I can’t read and decide what other people think, so I am just guessing. I follow the track of her eyes which now looking to seemingly an endless road of ruined highway, somewhere along the horizon. “I have recuperated, now. Sorry for not helping you before” I also shift my gaze toward the same horizon, and prepare my stance. It seems we may have similar destination “how about we both take down each of them one by one?”

Kay turned toward where a sudden voice came from and instinctively put her hands to her waist to pull out her knives if she needed to. She saw him jump off the ruins of a nearby building and onto the highway she was standing on. Was he a player killer? Kay hadn't had to deal with other players trying to kill her yet. They mostly stuck to the south part of the city from what she'd seen. About that, though... she looked around to make sure she hadn't stepped outside of the city's safe zone by accident. She had not, she was still protected by the city's no combat guardian things. So what's this werecat up to?
She lifted her hands off her knives after realizing he probably isn't going to attack and turned to look back down the highway. Her thought train went from how to survive the trip to Manchester to now how to get away from this man and then get to Manchester.
The werecat spoke, he had a thick accent, probably Asian from the sound of it, but she couldn't be sure. Not like that really mattered any more anyway. What he said made her blood boil. Was he watching her as she failed to survive even getting out of the city? Is he just now inviting her to a party? Well, it's true she isn't getting anywhere like this. But she didn't want help! "I don't need any help! I'll kill every animal and monster that I pass with my bare hands if I have to. And I don't need anyone slowing me down," she said, full of contempt. Shortly after saying that she lifted her kunai out of their sheaths and held them in a reverse grip with her index fingers through the hole. She then started walking toward the west, following the ruined highway, hoping her getting angry with the cat would have convinced him to leave her alone.
At this point, she didn't care how many times she had to die, there was no other way for her to get stronger and get home, even if it's not really home.

It took me some times to process the sudden burst of anger from the girl that now is currently throwing tantrum toward my face. Sure, I cannot help her that time. Even if I jumped and used my body as shield, I may just able to delay her death for sort amount of times with my death. However, the fact that I didn’t help her is still there. So, I just swallow my words and click my tongue, letting the girl turns her body to other direction and walks away. Yeah, there are always two opposite ways to understand how other people think, and sometimes for some reason some people leaned more on one from either way. I don’t know what she thinks about me right now. Perhaps, something has successfully disturb her before I was arrived, and rather change her view into thinking that I am a bad person as quickly as that. I don’t want to disturb what people believe and instead amused with it, since if it actually the truth, not a mere empty logic, then I may learn something new.
I am still standing on my position, looking at the girl as she walks toward the west. Does she want to do that again? Amusing, the beyond my logic for hardworking. Well, I can spend so much time doing my work because I am rather curious about what will I make, and so I don’t understand her reason to try to makes her way through same level of difficulties again and again. As I can see the light on her eyes, since I am now only watching at her from her back. What was it, that made her to go through this hell. The heated highroad has been fried by the blazing sun, which is now also start burning me inside. There are numerous monsters on her direction as usual, wandering around their respawn place. I keep eyeing toward the girl, as I start following her far from the distance. What will she do? I keep walking behind her, repressing my curiosity to not immediately jumping forward and be in her way as she said.

(OOC: Sorry I took so long. Been trying to figure out what to write.) Kay had been walking a long while with that cat on her tail. The familiar buildings were becoming more of an eyesore than they already were. Each step broke lose a thin layer of mossy dirt, almost grass, from the dilapidated highway. The air was clear, the clearest air that had ever filled her lungs. An air not choked with the fumes of cars, the exhaust of business, and the stench of civilization. It was just clean air, and it lifted her mood the longer she walked. She could hear birds flying by and chirping away in trees grown through buildings. The wind blew strands of her hair into her face and she casually tucked them back behind her ears, still keeping a grip on the knives in her hand. She didn't like these knives. But they were better than nothing, which the monk class is supposedly meant to excel at. She didn't want to fist fight monsters, though. She wanted to cut them. She stopped walking, because she's played this song and dance before. She turned to face the cat. " Why are you still following me? What's your name anyway?" Not that she needed to ask his name, since just thinking about it brought up the status screen on him. Old habits died hard, though. He was a monk like her, but several levels higher... He could have easily killed her if that was his intention. Her voice was still filled with mild annoyance. She would prefer to fight the monsters coming up alone, even if it meant she would die again. But it's not like she could force him to leave her alone. lukavminaev

I keep my silence while walking forward, following the girl which seemingly annoyed with my presence. I don’t blame her, although I still find it interesting to observe her expression. More precisely, disturbed-annoyed-troubled expression which she doesn’t even mind to hide it. Not that I know why she thought so, but I can relate part of myself with her rather furious nature to push herself to the limit. Ah, maybe she feels challenged with my presence, and so it will be my fault if anything bad happens. I thought so. I should be doing my best to hide my presence, and so I won’t disturb her.
A sudden question from her made me startled. Ah, she actually notices me? Damn, I failed in hiding my presence. Well, I am not ninja, and I am pretty sure my current class is not ninja. Hiding seems never be my things in this game world, or at least that what I thought of it. “I am Lukav, what’s yours?” I decide to ignore her attempt to check my status panel, and tell my name instead, and then answer her other question. “Err… Ah, never mind. So, our level is not that much difference” a bit feeling of hesitant made me swallow my words and thus I try to change the topic instead. It’s actually my true feeling. I am honest when I said that. “So, uh… would you want to party with me?” I don’t know how to say it properly, and so I wonder if she understands what I mean.
I point at the group of monsters in front of us, a little bit far from our current location. “Look. They are that many. Are you sure you want to do that alone?” It’s not a threat. I don’t have any single reason to threaten her. I just want to point out that we will have more benefit if we work together, but I am unable to put in words. Sigh, this communication limit. This is why I am not good with people, or maybe, this is my major limitation in this world. Damn, now that I think about it, I might be unable to converse properly with other players in this world. My gaze shifts back to the girl, wondering if she actually understands what I mean. However, I have conviction. Be it run smoothly as she will accept my invitation, or rather she will ignore me and keep heading up, I should be stubborn and keep following her, moving closer and closer to the monsters.

Kay considered the cat's offer. She was well aware that the animals further up the road were numerous, they were also many levels higher than she and the cat were. This area gave off a feeling like she wasn't supposed to be travelling down this road yet, this is for higher levelled adventurers. She wasn't going to let that stop her, though. So to stand a chance, she would need to swallow her pride and accept his offer to party. She stood there, not really moving, just thinking, before finally speaking to him. " Okay, invite me." She said, bluntly. She stood still and waited for the invite request to pop up, which she accepted when it did. She tried to think about this in a more positive way. He was a monk like her, so she might be able to learn from watching him fight, since he was higher in levels. She had been in a party with another monk before, but that was several days ago and she didn't really watch him fight. The fighting style Kay had been using thus far had been meant for fighting against humans and human-like things. She had been taught in real life how to use knives in fights from private instructors to feed her hobby. So the animals were a new challenge for her and her inexperience was what was causing her to die often. She also didn't like using skills, so that might also have been part of her problem. " My name is Kaytina. Just call me Kay. The animals up here are wild cows of some kind, level 12 and 13." From the distance, she could see three of them grazing on the grass that was growing through the cracks in the asphalt. They were large and had huge horns. They are better known as Crag Cows. She also knew from experience that there were several other cows on the other side of the buildings near where the first three are grazing, and they will aggro when they hear the first three attacking. She probably shouldn't be trying to get past these things at such a low level. But she needed to get by. She was compelled to walk all the way to Manchester even if it meant dying over and over before she could walk the whole way. The cat probably wouldn't want to follow her for too long, so she would take advantage of his pushiness to learn from him and to siphon their shared exp from the kills as well. She turned her back on him and started to walk toward the group of animals, kunai daggers in her hands, wishing for better knives. " You ready, cat?" The closest cow was already watching them. The cows didn't attack unless they felt threatened, of course Kay didn't know this since she always walked to this spot with knives in hand, which is probably why they always attacked her. Even if she knew this, she would still want to kill them all just to get stronger. The other three were now looking at her as she got closer. Then the closest one began to charge. She dove out of the way just before it would have hit her, sending the cow barrelling toward Lukav, behind her. lukavminaev
