Yami's Patisserie Shop
~Event held by Hikari with permission of Events Committee~

Welcome to Yami's Patisserie Shop, where Yami and her dogs provide the customers with sweets of highest quality!~
Premise: Yami gave you a piece of ordinary candy which isn't very ordinary. Upon eating the candy, you felt a strange sensation. It didn't take you too long to figure out you had to follow each and every command Yami gave you- like a dog. Yami ordered you to help her with her Patisserie Shop, and if you're a good puppy, you might even get a treat!

Rules: 1) Each post must contain minimum of 500 250 words, and each 500 250 words will reward you with a single Yami Candy. You may earn a maximum of 3 Yami Candies each 72 hours.
2) There are no requirements whatsoever! You may be of any level, class, subclass, crafting class, race or gender! Noone can resist Yami's sweets...
3) Please follow description of the patisserie!
4) Do something. You know what happens with people who do no work whatsoever? Yami punishes the bad doggies. At least 40% of your post must contain actual work. Just try to at least do something.

Description: To save you from reading a wall of text and only getting confused at the end, I've got some pictures of you! Yay!~ The first picture(header of this thread) is the picture of the actual Patisserie itself. Even though half of the room is missing, you can expect that the most of Patisserie will look exactly like that, except with more samples of sweets being displayed(and being more pink!). The upper floor, which is accessible via the stairs, contains a cafe. This is the picture of the cafe:

AWARD

Yami Candy: A mysterious candy that appears as a normal candy inside, but contains minor doses of miasma that spreads through the eater's body. The person that gifted the candy will be designated as the ''owner'', while the person who ate it will be designated as the ''dog''. The owner may command their dog to do anything they wish. If the dog does not comply with the request, small ghosts will appear out of nowhere and start ridiculing the dog for a couple seconds before disappearing. As such, this candy is mostly used for pranking, payback and public shame in general. The effects of the candy last for 24 hours.
P.S. I only have 50 of these so you better get them while you can!

candyland's an alright game

It was a calm, slightly cold day for this fur-ridden courier. Dusky walked down the familiar path to the city, tapping his staff on the various objects that lined the side of the road. Benches, tap. Signposts, tap. Rundown vehicles, tap. Guy dressed as a piece of candy, tap. Wait, what?

“Hey, friend! You look like you’ve been on your feet all day!” said the overly ecstatic Lander, not even caring that the black cat had just beaned him over the head with a wooden staff. Dusky gave the young man another whap on the head. Instead of wincing in pain, the candy-clad mascot continued on with his speech. Maybe I’m just too underpowered, he thought to himself.

“If you need a good pick-me-up, just come on in to the magnificently wonderful Yami’s Patisserie Shop!” he nearly screamed, throwing his arms wildly in the air with a gleefully deranged look on his face. He twirled around, Dusky ducking to avoid being hit by the loopy Lander’s flailing arms. He stopped suddenly, as if he remembered something important.

“Oh! Another you should know is that our wonderful, gracious, heavenly host is offering free samples inside! Isn’t that a gas, mate?” At this, he grabbed Dusky’s arm and pulled the poor cat inside before he could protest.

Dusky shivered as he looked around, the whole candy place alive with the cutesy confectionery vibe. Despite its cute exterior, it felt like some sort of indescribable evil was crawling underneath this sugar-coated haven. Plus, all the bright colors in this place were a pain on his sensitive kitty eyes.

The mascot-clad man had a little trouble maneuvering between the tables, the Lander’s costume managing to knock a couple of chairs to the floor, causing some of the patrons to jump. Actually, now that he looked at the scene before him, the patrons all seemed to be employees.

A couple of them were mopping and waxing the floors. One was cleaning the counters and another was arranging giant jars of candy on a set of shelves behind the register. Behind the register itself was a cute, pink-haired girl. It wouldn’t have been so creepy if they all didn’t have those crazy, lop-sided grins like the mascot. Except the girl. Hers seemed like she was certifiably crazy, and her eyes didn’t stop watching him since he entered the establishment.

“AHA! HERE WE GO!” the Lander loudly proclaimed as he held up a small bag, causing the Enchanter cat to flinch. He pulled out a piece of candy, wrapped neatly in a dark blue foil wrapper. “Here, try one! Once you take one, you lose yourself in its pure essence of amazing and holy cow!”

Dusky reluctantly took the piece from the mascot’s outstretched arm, unwrapping it quickly and stuffing the wrapper in his cloak’s pocket. All the other employees around the room began to clap, a slow, steady golf clap.

Okay, if I wasn’t freaked out then, I am definitely freaking out now.

The feeling of unease didn’t seem to last for very long. In fact, he was actually feeling pretty good, feeling like he needed to bust a move for this applauding gathering. Throwing his robe to the side, he let the rhythm in his head take him to places he’d never been to before.

After a small amount of time had managed to trickle down the universal hourglass, the initial feeling of exhilaration began to fade away. In its place was left nothing but an overwhelming desire to help pink-haired Fox Tail females in their quest to run a humble patisserie operation. Seeing her stand behind that register, actually doing work, was an unbearable sad sight in Dusky’s now-tainted feline eyes.

“My mistress, please! Do not toil over the labors of a sales-person!” he said as he gently led her away from the register. “Allow me the honor of partaking in the duties of a meager clerk! For your glory, I aim to make the most profits to further your time-honored pastime!”

Oh, no. Pure-white knight mode has been engaged by the pitch-black cat. Going along with the corrupted feelings that weren’t his own, the cat jumped onto the counter, raising a fist/paw in the air.

“FOR THE MISTRESSSSSSSSSSSSS!”

At this, those cleaning held their brooms up high, others waving dust rags, the mascot merely jumping up and down with his usual arm flailing, as they all whooped and hollered. Braveheart, this ain’t.

Hopefully, if didn’t scare away any nearby potential patrons, it would instead lure more over to this building to see what all the hubbub was about.

[Mokusu]

Mokusu was caught off guard yawning as the bell attached on top of the front door rang, indicating customers are either entering or exiting the premises – in this case; entering. Standing near the entrance, his body stiffens as the customers enter and unable to do a quick recover, he just raised his hand to cover his mouth as he pretend to cough before bowing to the customers. 

“Please have my sincere apologies, mi ’lady,” If Mistress Yami had saw him yawning in front of the customers; he could have dies there and then. Mokusu set his back straight up before smiling to the two girls that just enter the store; their character status told him that they are People of the Land. “Welcome to Yami's Patisserie Shop where we will only provide the best sweet for our customers,” Again Mokusu bow, causing the Landers to blush in respond before returning back his smile. Outstretching his right arm to the inside of the store, Mokusu mention them to further enter the store. “Seeing as the surroundings might be unusual to you, please have no fret,” The Fox Tail smile back at the ladies as he guide them to the light pink and green store. “I will at your service for today.” 

Into the candy store Mokusu introduced to them the many flavour of fruits that had been compress into rocks and as they passed the vast amount of jars, he gave them samples of the sweets they found interesting and he smile to their different reactions to the candies. 

“If you please, my lady,” He bow again, causing them again to blush. “Please follow me upstairs, your table is ready.” Looks of confusion cover the customers’ face but Mokusu just smiled as he led the way to the spiral stair case. Their eyes lit up as they started to surface to the second floor café, Mokusu helps them to their seats before bowing and disappear to the kitchen. Confused, the two ladies stared at each other smiling, yes; it was a risk to enter the weird store but it was worth it. They look around as saw a number of customers, all are pampered by the staff, happily eating the unique food brought to them. It was them Mokusu return to them while wheeling in a tray table. 

He bowed again to them after he set the tray table next to their table and picked up a wooden box with a glass cover, inside are tiny wooden boxes, each are neatly label. “If my lady could choose their preferred tea,” He said as he present the box to the two seated Landers. Blushed, they agreed together and choose the strawberry cream white tea. Mokusu compliment on their chosen tea and began to prepare it at the tray table before pouring a cup to each ladies and setting it in the middle of the table. He then proceeds to grab two menus and gave it to them. “Please take your time.” And time they did take before ordering a peach tart and caramel soufflé and again he compliment on their choosing before wheeling the table tray back to the kitchen to pick up their pastries choices. When he returned and doing his usual bow, he also brought to them a cheese cake as a complimentary dish to them. “Please enjoy your stay.” He again bow before returning once again into the kitchen, hoping Mistress Yami had seen his performance.

[Crimson Blood]

When Yami gave the the candy I happily took it and ate it. I then proceeded to black out. Once I wope up I found myself in a peculier place. It was very pink and smelled very good. I then noticed I had a debuff called Dog "What the heck is going on?" I say surprised "And what kind of debuff is dog?" I say bewildered. After I said that Yami walked into the room and gave me an explanation of what was happening. "Hmm... You could have just asked me if I wanted to help you know. Anyway I guess I'll start by cooking some sweets. Would you please lead me to the kitchen?" I say casually. Yami leads me to the kitchen and shows me where all the ingredients are. She then orders me to do my best and because I am currently her dog I reply with a salute and a Yes Mistress!" After that I started to bake some cake. I added sugar, vanilla, and a bit of salt, to make it delicious. Then some people were ready to order so I went to take their order pleasantly. The two women were delighted and said that I was a charming. They ordered some cake so I want and got two slices of the cake I had just made. After I served it to them they said thank you and I bowed politely. After that I was running around the place doing all sorts of jobs. One time I had to take over the cash register. That was a hard one. I continued baking various sweets, taking orders, and running around the cafe doing odd jobs for most of the time I was there and after awhile I was exhausted "I need to take a break" I said to myself "I guess I should ask someone to take over for me while I'm gone" I search around for someone who isn't too busy but everyone if running around and doing jobs "I guess I can't take a break" I say while sighing "Man this is hard work. But I am helping someone. And it never hurts to help!" I say full of energy/ "Now, I need to get back to work!"

[Mokusu]

“We hoped you enjoyed your meal,” With his right hand on his chest, Mokusu bows as the customers he was serving started to go towards the stairs. “Please come again.” He saw the customers’ smiles as they disappear down the stairs, Mokusu went back to where they were once sat to clear and prep it up for the next customers. 

Looking around as he picked up the plates and cups left from the meal, Mokusu noticed that the café was a bit slow today. There was only three tables occupied among dozen and as he balanced the cups on the stack of plates he walked to dump it to the cleaning stations in the kitchen, he decided to help with the customers attraction outside. After dumping the plates and patting the dish cleaner on the back, he examine the dining floor for a while to see if anyone need him before rushing down to the staff room to change into the many store mascots costume. After a few minutes of self-debating, Mokusu exited the staff room and out of the front door, catching a lot of eyes as he passed, wearing a jar filled with rock candy costume with the words and a stack of flyers in one hand. 

Setting the flyers down on the nearest empty table found at the front of the store, the bright orange Fox Tail examine the not empty, yet was not so-overcrowded streets. Those who were mostly around were Adventurers, just like himself, and a few Landers. Most were window shopping while others just sit down somewhere along the streets and benches catching up with one another or trying to figure out what to do. 

Taking a deep breath, expending the costume a bit in the process, the Fox Tail jumped up and down a few times trying to get a feel of the costume before picking the flyers back up and into his hand. Showing his smile, he approached the nearest soon-to-be customer, an adventurer window shopping next door.  

“Hello good sir! Have you try ou–“ 

“Whatever you are selling, I’m not buying!” The statement was followed by a stink eye which caused Mokusu to back away slowly. 

“I’m sorry to have disturbed you, sir.” And with that Mokusu went back to the store front, back to square one before proceeding to a group of adventurers just across the streets. 

“Hello good sir and madam!” Mokusu announced himself as he approached to the group. “Have you try Yami’s Patisserie Shop candy?” 

All eyes were on him before he was interrupted by one of the member, which he guessed the leader of the party. 

“Yeah, yeah,” The leader said, waving his hand in front of his face. “Yada yada yada… just give us when you came for to give and scram.” 

Still wearing his smile, Mokusu give out the flyers to the party before once again going back to the store front. Releasing a sigh, he surveys the surrounding area again before once again approaching a small elf, again an adventurer, who had her back turn. Taking a deep breath, he once again wears his smile before tapping the druid on the shoulder. 

“Huh?” Turning around the elf fell down in surprised as she saw the large jar Fox Tail. Startled, Mokusu trips as he tried to help and fell on top of the elf, having difficulty getting backed up due to the costume, the Fox Tail ended up squashing the elf between him and the concrete street. With a surprisingly strong push, the elf was able to roll away the huge jar crushing her before running away from the scene, crying from the sudden event. 

Those who were around – 3 adventurers – started to push the fallen jar further into the wall, bypassing the ‘no combat in town’ rule, when he had stop rolling and accusing him of being a pervert for a few minutes before leaving him alone, hoping for him to die. Coughing and with the help of the wall, Mokusu was able to regain his footing. 

“This is not my lucky day,” He muttered as he walked back to the store. Looking inside, he saw Mistress Yami, cleaning up some of the candy jar with a smile on her face and once again the candy took a powerful effect and the Fox Tail was filled with new motivation. Swiping his hand, Mokusu called up the interface and enter his skills list before pressing his ‘Summon Follower – Sylph’, the interface disappear as he pressed it and his hand started to glow a bright sky blue light. 

“Children of the sky and wind, I summon thee in my time of need!” Mokusu swipe his bright hand in front of his face before making a throwing motion. “Through the airs around, I summon thee! Sylph!” 

The air around him stayed unusually still before a tiny whirl wind appears in front of him, as its rises, it also started to take on a form of a small little girl. 

“Help me with this.” Mokusu said before throwing his flyers into the air. The unnamed Sylph, spins around the thrown papers, aiding it to stay still in the air while waiting for her master next command. “Spread these throughout the streets, make it snow.” The fairy smiled and nods to her master and off she went dropping papers throughout the streets. 

Mokusu smile at her as the flyers falls down slowly like snow before he enters the store, waiting for the result of his work.

"Gahhh! Sod off ya little... I'M NOT AFFRIAD OF NO GHOST"

The echo in the kitchen was accompanied by the screams and echos of many hands slapping, afterwards the squat emerged from the kitchen with a great forced grin on his face; many a reddened hand mark adorning his bare skin. After all Dwarf was probably the one who hated authority figures the most thus the prospect of having a Candy command obedience from every dysfunction irritated him greatly. It had all started when the battle of Stonehenge resolved and he returned a hero, when that lass offered the most unusual concoction: Bacon flavoured candy! Naturally the fellow felt curious and thought a little taste wouldn't hurt.

Well, how wrong he was. The dwarf gave a chuckle as he took behind the kettle as he roughly shoved five teabag into the kettle. Oh boy, how wrong he was, though at least he was a brewer and was used to this kind of hard graft.

"9 Hours ta go, then I'mma done with tis sh-*Smack*Gawd damnit!*Smack* STOP IT"

The fellow shivered with a loud grunt as his hands got to work, flipping the nob of the mana water boiler then waited, all the while he gathered ingredients for his latest concoction, a bag of sugar, a fist full of lemons and some artificial flavouring. The dwarf deftly chopped several of the fruits in half before he lifted and gently squeezed extracts of lemon juice into a filter to separate the juice from any particulate’s. Soon the rumble of hot water erupted into the mighty vessel and with the dancing of water on tin that rattled louder and louder until the tap abruptly spurted to a stop. To the concoction the dwarf added the lemon and piled in two thirds of the sugar pack into the kettle with a plume of sugary smoke, before with a loud clunk of the kettle it was sealed and left to cool. It was at that point that a punter came up and with that ever present forced grin, the dwarf gave a dramatic wink.

"A chocomellow? Why certainleh! Ya chances of an hart attack increases ten-fo- gah! ALRIGHT I GET IT!"

Dwarf began to wonder how many puppies he had punched in his previous life.
