The bell struck six and the doors opened, letting a miasma of purple smoke come out buffeting what was happening this eve. Halloween night was here and to celebrate the night a new dungeon had appeared with the new Avon expansion and it wouldn't open at the time, all that was given a notice on the investigating players’ interfaces saying to come back on Halloween night at six, for that was when the dungeon opened and the Mansion of the Purple Mirror could be explored. With this notice, the game was kind enough to give us the info on the monsters that inhabited the lobby. This is what lead Verin here, of course the information was spread throughout Londinium and Verin had heard during the spreading of the information. Normally Verin would've wanted to form a party, but for some reason he wanted to tackle this alone, thus he was alone this time.
Walking through the entrance a notice popped up on his display, a general notice saying you’ve entered a dungeon and that you should be careful, etcetera. Verin read over just to make sure there was nothing he could’ve missed, but there was nothing so he just closed it out. After doing this he noticed that he was immediately greeted by small floating jack-o-lanterns that were obviously very curious beings. Verin petted one of them and then started walking towards the other end of the lobby. When he got there though he was greeted by a pop up that said that the passage to continue and that you needed to find it by looking over the lobby.
“I see, puzzle puzzles puzzles, well if I need to find something these little guys could either be a nuisance or just blanks as long as I leave them be.”
Verin first decided to survey the local mob, so he sat down against the nearest pillar and then a hollow voiced echoed throughout the lobby which gave Verin the chills.
“Greetings Adventurer, I am here to tell you that you must face the trials of the mansion and there is no leaving until you die or you succeed in finding out the secrets of the purple mirror. I wish a pleasant death Adventurer and may you enjoy the trials.”
