Well, this was a bummer. Not only was he now trapped within a game, he knew that his friend had probably also been trapped and he had no idea what she named herself or looked like in this game. He sat on the steps of a ruined building, leaning against the old, weathered tree that grew through its wall. Looking to the sky he noted the time was around noon, which meant he should go ahead and start looking for somewhere to actually lay his head when night came. He didn't know for sure if town was always safe, he hadn't been a member of this game for longer than two hours now, but he didn't want to be ambushed when it was dark. 'At least I'll revive if I die. That was quite a scare, thinking that our deaths may be permanent. Although, it's quite, drastic, that some have taken to hunting other players for the sheer fun of it.'
He shook his head as he walked through the ruined section of town. He hadn't seen any monsters yet, which was a good sign as he had seen a few pigs grazing off in the distance from when he was high within the crumbling tower. He wanted to stay out here, where fewer players traveled, both from his fear of being PKed and his terrible phobia of crowds. His mind wandered to his spawn, when he found himself surrounded by what seemed to him like millions of people. His heart, even now when he knew he was free of crowd, began to race with fear. Shaking the thoughts from his mind, he rounded a corner towards another ruined building. This one was wide, made of stone and only two stories tall. But the most awe inspiring feature to him, were the two trees that seemed to twist into a gateway that allowed entrance into the building.

When the moon casts shadows long across my wall I'll pretend they are my friends & I've known them all along words 351 HOPE YOU DON'T MIND WEEGEE xd | Somewhere deep in the abandoned building that the young Adventurer, Weegee, was looking at, a long, ear-splitting wail like the sound of a woman's scream echoed and bounced through the broken walls.
Inside the building, Indy was starting to feel a headache forming the longer he played his violin - which continued to make the same, ghastly screeches that made one twitch or shiver in pain.
The blond haired man was trying to play an upbeat tune, but what came out sounded more like something that would work well in a low-quality horror movie. He furrowed his brows in concentration as he went on, doing his best to block out the sounds he was making and focus simply on the movement of his hands.
He had chosen his place of practice well, knowing that not many people would be lurking nearby, though perhaps he was mistaken in choosing a place with impressive acoustics. After all, he didn't want to torture people with his awful playing. In this ruined building, anyone who was nearby would surely hear the sounds of his violin. What he wanted was to improve a bit more, and be able to play a decent song, before he decided to perform in front of other people.
It also occurred to him that he might be attracting unwanted attention. And since they were in an area that allowed combat, he could get himself in trouble.
Even if he knew this, he wasn't terribly worried about it. It was discovered earlier on, that death was not permanent in this world, and his level was low enough that, should he die, he would not be heavily affected by the penalty. Or perhaps, if I'm lucky, my playing will frighten everyone and keep them away instead. This thought brought a smile to his face as he imagined both people and monsters running away in fear of his playing. What an ironic skill that would be for a Bard to have.
He went on playing his violin, not knowing that somewhere outside was a person who might hear the high-pitched sounds coming from his instrument. |

As he stood outside the ruined building, a woman's scream seemed to come from inside. His head snapped up as he began running into the building, hopping over stones and destroyed pieces of walls. His face was calm, placid and seemingly emotionless as he raced into the depths of the building. He followed the horrible sound, hoping that his ears wouldn't start bleeding by the time he arrived, or that worse, the sounds would stop and he'd find a dead woman inside. He turned a corner to find a long-eared man playing a wailing chord on a violin. His eye twitched in slight pain as he stared at the sight before him. "Uhm, pardon me. But, aren't you a Bard?"
His voice was dull and seemingly lifeless as he spoke, but had enough force and volume to break through the horrid playing. "I don't mean to be, well, mean, but have you never once played an instrument before?" He took a seat a few feet away from the man, continuing to stare at him with dreadful fascination. 'I thought that the game would have allowed someone, even people unskilled with instruments, to play at least acceptably. However, it seems I was mistaken.' He coughed slightly to let his ears open a little as he shook his head. "I used to play a violin, before the incident we all suffered." He grimaced inside his mind as he finished his thought. "I could try and help you a little, if you'd like."
As the words came from his mouth, he knew he'd regret what followed as a dark, gruff tone echoed through his mind. 'Oi! What do you think y'er doing fool? Y'er asking him to let you help 'im? With 'is 'orrible playing? I oughta kill ya.' He ignored the raging voice in his mind, knowing that sooner or later he would tire out again and fall asleep.

When the moon casts shadows long across my wall I'll pretend they are my friends & I've known them all along words 425 THIS OUGHT TO BE INTERESTING | It surprised the blond haired man to discover that, despite the noise, he was able to hear the voice of another person. It cut through the horrible music he made, reaching his ears as barely a soft whisper against the squeals and screeches of his violin. His hands halted their movements, making the room fall completely silent as he turned to regard the newcomer with curiosity. Stopping the racket he made left a ringing sensation in his ears - which slowly faded away as time passed, eventually allowing him to hear more clearly.
"Hm? I'm sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you with my performance." He said with a sheepish smile. The blond haired man found himself speaking to a tall, young man who seemed to be around his age or younger, with messy brown hair and placid-looking eyes. From the ears and tail attached to his head and lower back respectively, Indy was able to determine that he was facing someone of the Fox Tail race.
If the newcomer had any intentions of fighting him, he would have done so while Indy was still busy playing. He had been in a vulnerable position - his sense of hearing impaired by the sounds of his violin, and his hands occupied with the instrument itself. It would have been easy to sneak up behind him and stab him in the back. Since they were still speaking to each other, the blond haired man concluded that the other person merely wished to speak with him. This thought made him relax a little, his shoulders loosening the minuscule bit of tension that had gathered when he first detected the other's presence.
Although Indy was able to hear the other person while he was playing, he didn't understand the words that were spoken. He was about to ask the brown haired man to repeat what he said, when the stranger asked a question of his own. Indy wasn't sure whether the brown haired man was simply repeating what he said before, but he supposed knowing that wasn't important. The stranger went on, offering to help him learn how to play the violin and mentioning how he had experience of it in the past. The blond haired man lifted the violin bow in his hand, using it to tap his chin lightly as he mulled over the other's proposal.
"Do you mean to say that you're a Bard, or were you a violinist in real life?" He asked.
While he waited for the other's reply, he silently mused over the stranger's offer.

As the elf apologized, Weegee simply waved his hand as he smiled for once in this game. "Oh no, you don't have to say anything, you're much better than I was when I started. Though, no I did not choose my class as Bard, I was indeed a violinist at heart and practice. Now, try sitting up as straight as possible and let your emotion flow into the strings."
He moved closer to the man, sitting down in front of him in a cross-legged position. Holding his arm in front of him, he began to move it slowly back and forth. "I'll make a simple metronome with my arm for you, it'll help you keep the time. Just be mindful of your fingers and play what feels best to you." He would continue doing this as he listened to the man play. "Oh, right, and my name is Weegee, pleasure to meet you."
He would nod his head as he introduced himself, listening closely to the silence before the Bard began to play. Of course after a few minutes in, he would stop him and give tips before they began again. He would continue trying to assist the man until the Bard was tired of practicing. Whenever they would finish, he would smile and stretch. "It's been quite a while since I've helped someone with a problem. It feels rather good. Now I know how my friend feels. Though, she takes it a little too seriously sometimes." And in the silence that echoed behind his words, if one listened closer than Weegee was, they could hear a slight shuffling of stones somewhere nearby. For unbeknownst to the helpful monk, a boar had spawned just outside of the building and began foraging for food. It was a young boar, thankfully, however it was not alone, as it had both a brother and sister to accompany it. It lacked a mother, that had wandered off in another direction looking for the three piglets she had lost.
The pigs would enter the room with the two players at any time, and whether they would be unnoticed, or become enemies to the two violinists, would remain up to the elf, as the Fox-tail was happily reminiscing about the days when he used to sit in the sun and play his violin.

When the moon casts shadows long across my wall I'll pretend they are my friends & I've known them all along words 496
| Indy blinked in surprise as the other person suddenly took control and began to instruct him on how to improve. The brown haired Adventurer walked up to him and sat down a few feet across, then began to move his hand in a rhythmic pattern while giving him tips on his posture and the like. For a few seconds, he silently stared at the man - who introduced himself as Weegee - while trying to determine the best way to react. Eventually, he shrugged and lifted the violin to his shoulder while placing the bow over the strings.
Good-naturedly, he paid attention and obligingly followed Weegee's instructions as he played, though he had trouble understanding the other player whenever he spoke in an abstract manner. Let your emotions flow. Be one with your work. Let your body do the talking. To the blond haired Englishman, teaching someone by saying phrases like that seemed strange and pointless. None of the teachers in his youth taught him that way, which was a great blessing for him.
From time to time, his violin would emit a high-pitched screech that would make any person's spine shiver unpleasantly. Whenever it happened, one side of his lip curled up mischievously. Generally, he played simple and easy songs for Weegee; unlike earlier, when he had been attempting to perform the Scheherazade violin solo. Since he didn't need to perform complicated movements, he wasn't constantly making horrible, wailing sounds like he had been doing before. He was able to produce soft and light tunes this time.
Losing the ability to play a few of his favorite classical pieces was upsetting to the Bard, and despite having a low-leveled skill, he persisted in playing harder, complicated scores that he had been well-versed with before he moved to the London servers. I suppose I should stop pushing myself like this and simply work on leveling up before I attempt more difficult songs.
After a few minutes, he stopped playing and lowered the violin to his side. Weegee spoke while Indy strapped the instrument to his back once more, then stretched his limbs into the air. He smiled, turning to face the brown haired man and bowing as he replied. "You and your friend may have more in common than you think. Thank you for taking the time and effort to help me dispel my boredom."
As a stretch of silence passed between the two Adventurers, a soft and unexpected sound reached Indy's ears. Thanks to his Pathfinder's heightened sense of sight, he was able to spot three young boars that were making their way into the room. He focused his attentions on them as he took a few steps forward, standing protectively between Weegee and the group of creatures. Then he grabbed the hilt of his rapier and smoothly pulled it out of its scabbard.
"Watch out. There are boars headed our way. You might want to get up and prepare for a fight." He warned the other.

| WEEGEE HP: 100% MP: 100% | "After all you put me through, you'd think that I'd despise you. But in the end, I wanna thank you. Cause you made me that much STRONGER." |
The words of the Bard caused Weegee to hop quickly to his feet as he scanned the area. After a moment he spotted the three pigs and brought up the interface to check them. "A few level one Pittered Boars, the only skill they have is Charge, which is about as simple as it sounds. They're all at full health but it should be pretty easy, even without them having an obvious weakness or resistance." he spoke calmly as he made use of his Evaluate skill. He used it to check each of the three boars, just to make sure that there were no surprise skills in their armory before he held his fists at the ready. "Well, you seem ready for combat, so shall we go ahead and begin? I'll start on the right side and hopefully draw the aggro."
He would wait for confirmation from his new 'party member' before rushing off into the fray. Moving side to side as he weaved through the rubble. His feet thudded along the stone, causing the closest pig to look up just as Weegee landed an open palm thrust into its face. The attack caused the pig to stagger back a step, allowing Weegee time to give a quick roundhouse kick delivered into its soft side. 'Quick combos are the key to a Monk's fighting style.' Stepping to the side he would move to the middle pig if the Bard had not already attacked it or the other pig, and would make a swift kick to the side of its head as it turned around to see why its brother had made such noise. If everything went according to plan, the third pig would also aggro onto him, making Weegee was the center of their attention. He smiled calmly and he pressed his palms together carefully, standing still among the confusion of the three pigs. 'Little pigs, little pigs, let the fun begin.' If the Bard did attack before all of the aggro had been drawn, then who knows what would have happened with the other two pigs? OOC NOTES: Word Count: 347.

When the moon casts shadows long across my wall I'll pretend they are my friends & I've known them all along words 346
| Weegee's words hinted at a special skill that his chosen class could wield. The way he described the three young boars they were about to face made Indy feel confident of his assumption that the brown haired man could scan an enemy's strengths and weaknesses. He nodded in agreement as the other Adventurer laid out their plan. It was simple and straightforward, a tactic that the Bard was willing to follow through.
"I shall be counting on you then." He replied with a grin.
Indy let the other player go first, and watched him charge in to strike at the first of the three boars. He proceeded to attack and gather the attention of the rest of the creatures with quick punches and kicks. The blond haired man didn't want to disturb or intrude on the other's fight, so he chose to wait for the perfect opportunity to jump in after the other.
He saw it when Weegee stopped his delivery of combos and stood surrounded by the boars. The creatures' backs were all facing Indy - leaving them completely open and unguarded.
The Englishman lifted his hand up in the air to open his interface and select the skill, Elegant Act. Upon usage, Indy felt himself growing lighter on his feet. He turned his gaze back to the fight and rushed in, quickly closing the distance between himself and the boars. He targeted one of them and ran his blade through its hide. Then after pulling the sword back, he pressed down on one foot and used it as a pivot to perform a graceful spin that allowed him to attack it again. His rapier never stopped moving as he repeatedly swung and stabbed the boar.
It was completely taken by surprise, and found itself defenseless against his continuous attacks. In a few more seconds, Indy ended its life with a final stab.
As it began to disappear, blond haired man straightened up and swung his blade around with a flourish before falling into a defensive fencing stance, in case the fight was not yet over.

The ever curious Fox-tail hadn't been oblivious to the wretched sounds emanating from within one of the many, many abandoned buildings within Eldar Tales. Oh no, on the contrary, being a Fox-tail meant she couldn't ignore it's agonizing melody haunting her super sensitive fox-ears. They were more than just cosmetic changes - she could hear things she never thought possible (and smell too, if she had to admit). And Alana could hear quite a few things, having developed her personal gauge akin to that of a blind individuals. She was, after all, practically blind her-self in real life and had built up sensory counter measures to make up for her glaring limitation.
So when the racket finally ceased, the sorcerer sent out a silent prayer to whatever digital god allowed for this happy peace to be achieved.
She was, however, a glutton for punishment. Mostly due to her own little mind telling her 'things have happened this way' leading to 'it must be adventurers at work', which in turn lead to 'that means new friends!' with some bouncing and squeeing thrown in somewhere. Probably through the entire process and continuing outward until she was sprinting full speed towards the noise in hopes of catching the new people in whatever they were doing. So she could smother them in hugs.
Jogging her way through the torn ruins of the old world, toothy grin on display for all to see, the fox-tail was a woman on a mission to deliver iron-crushing strength grade glompage to whoever was unfortunate enough to cross her path. So when she rounded the corner to find two unluc-lucky young gentlemen engaged in a quaint sporting hunt of, um, gentlemanly-ness ness sporting thing it involved men killing boars okay? And now she was going to kill boars too.
Magical tome in one hand, the other raised up to cast the 'song' of the final boars demise. "Frost spear!" She called out, channeling forth the ancient dark wizardry that allowed her class to function. A large, cylindrical spear of ice shot it-self into existence and bolted it's way through the air, a mass of spiraling destruction aimed to destroy her foes. When she had been a level 1 sorcerer, it could have taken as many as two or even three shots to kill such a low level enemy. Now? Now it skewered the beast, slicing it's way through skin and flesh, with the poor creature giving one last, painful squeal before exploding into a rain of gold and xp. Okami frowned. As much fun as she had with mindless murder, those little piggies were a bit cute. It was a shame to she had to kill so many just to level up a bit.
Giving a quick look over the field, and finding a single piggie still alive, the energetic fox-tail clicked her tongue. "Oi!" She called out, bouncing her way across the field of war, "Don't draw out the battle! If your gonna kill the poor thing then do it already!" She yelled, obviously wanting this to be over as soon as possible. For someone who'd been out for blood of an entire horde not long before, she was showing an awful lot of empathy for something she knew was nothing more than zeros and ones.
"If you don't I'll do it for you, ne!"

Weegee's patience was rewarded as not one, but two of the pigs were killed as he leaped into the air to dodge the remaining pig's attack. In the short time he was in the air to the time he landed with a strong kick into the pig's back a new female Fox-Tail had appeared and slaughter a pig with a single strike. he quickly bent down and lifted the pig by its hooves, tossing it into the air before striking it hard with his fist. Letting it fall from his fist he slammed his knee into its side before it exploded into particles and gold coins. He sighed as he ran a hand through his hair, then turned and tipped his head to the newly arrived female.
"We weren't trying to draw out the battle, I merely was drawing the aggro for my comrade which is part of the job for my class. Though a fair greetings to you, what brings you here to this little room among the ruins?" His face would remain placid as he asked his questions. He looked between her and the Bard as he made sure he wasn't caught in some kind of trap. He was always wary of things like that, having some paranoia issues that assisted in harming his initial trust of people. "However, comrade, your fighting style is rather interesting, a certain flair that I find quite fascinating. Was that perhaps a Skill you used, or maybe your own personal touch?" His questioning was genuine as he had an extreme fondness for fighting styles, having spent years of his life watching people at the martial arts club near his school. "If perhaps it was the latter, I would love to learn your style. Perhaps I can find a way to work it into my own style." His mind began to slightly ramble within its own void as he listened to the other two for their responses. What had started as a two person adventure became a small group. OOC NOTES: Word Count: 336

When the moon casts shadows long across my wall I'll pretend they are my friends & I've known them all along words 268
| The sound of a woman's voice echoing in the room made Indy turn around sharply, his blade moving along with him as he held it up defensively against whoever or whatever had suddenly appeared. He had been prepared for another enemy, but the person who arrived was attacking the boars as well.
He watched as the newcomer - a pink haired woman - cast a spell and sent a spear made out of ice flying at one of the remaining creatures. It only took her that single blow to end its life. The blond haired man's eyes lifted up in surprise as he witnessed this. She's strong...probably a lot stronger than Weegee and I combined.
After killing the boar that she targeted, the woman turned her gaze to the two male Adventurers and shouted, demanding that they finish off the fight quickly. Indy wasn't worried about the battle, and didn't feel the need to rush off to do as she ordered. Weegee seemed to have it in control, as he finished off the third of the boars that had appeared.
The whole battle lasted for just a few minutes, and now the only ones left standing were the Adventurers. Indy relaxed his stance as the other player turned his gaze to the third person and started asking questions. The blond haired man returned his rapier into its scabbard, then with his fingers, he brushed back his hair from his face.
He was equally curious to know why the fox-tail woman chose to suddenly appear and join their battle, so he said nothing and let the two start the conversation.

"Hmm hmm, that's better," For a certain definition of 'better' she imagined. The player had lifted up the remaining piggie, tossing it into the air and delivering a swift attack to end the poor things life, a shower of gold signalling it's destruction. They were, as players, obligated to murder as many things as possible to gain gold and exp. It was just a fact of their current, digital life. Anyone who wanted to survive long enough to get anything in this new, bright world needed to stand at the top of a mountain of corpses. Little cute, piggie corpses, with a few that weren't actually dead and sort of just kicking their legs adorably while trying to play dead and slash or escape the massacre of their brothers. That was totally possible right? Totally. In Okami's mind this was an entirely possible thing. Filed right next to talking gentlemanly monsters that asked you to be their guest in musical fashion and magically enhanced super skates that would let players take over the digital world's sky.
It was totally possible. She wasn't crazy!
Just unhinged.
Bouncing her way over to the main group of the two men, the monk and other gentleman, a lean, blond man. Judging by her earlier experience, and from the utter lack of anyone else visible within the area, Okami had pinned the atrocious playing from before straight on the poor souls head. She didn't 'hate' the man for what horrors he brought into the world, as it was incredibly hard for Okami to get genially mad or to even stay that way if she had, the fox-tail was still slightly wary of him. What if he brought out his instrument again and...and tried to play something? It hurt from where she was before, so just imagine the screeching pain she'd be in if he tried to play while she was so near? Gods. The sorcerer couldn't handle that!
"Eh? Eh eh?" She sounded, confused at the monks question. "A personal skill? Is that even possible in this game?" She tilted her head in contemplation, a finger on her chin. "The ability I used was called <<Frost Spear>>. It's a lower ranking skill for Sorcerers. One of our basic magics." She gave a cheeky grin to the man. "Sorry, sorry~ I'd take in apprentices if I could, but it's not something I can just teach to warriors you know~? It's a trade secret~ Oh no, I already gave it away~ Oppsie~" She mused playfully, shrugging helplessly, not taking the conversation serious at all.
"Though I wish I could punch and kick like you could," She continued, lifting up her rather large grimorie, the beginner one that looked torn up and worn down. "All I really have to use without magic is this. Beating things to death with a book is kinda lame, ne?" Of course the grimorie functioned like a weak magical gun, if she had to really explain it, shooting little sparks of magic at enemies that were, well, fairly weak and useless. "Oh! Oh oh! Imagine if I could do all your stuff and all of my stuff and together I would be the greatest kung fu wizard that has ever walked Elder Tales. I would be an unholy plague onto the world, with all my majesty and greatness, and and!"
Her ears twitched.
"And fluff!"
Bouncing on her feet, tail swishing excitedly behind her, Okami smiled up at the monk innocently. "Wouldn't that be awesome?"

I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
He had originally intended the question for the blond man, but when the female answered, he simply let her go on much like the other guy seemed to do. She seemed to like talking a lot, which made it slightly easier on himself, since he wasn't really sure what to say in the situation. But, he kept his same expression from when she entered, and even spoke back to her when he was given the chance. "Indeed, a magical Monk or fist-fighing magician would be a fleet and amazing combination." He chuckled softly at her enthusiasm, feeling slightly at home with what seemed like her insanity. He knew what it was like to be crazy, in any degree or fashion, and that made him visibly relax and actually smile slightly. "Perhaps that can be a possibility in the future, much like the Apprentice can supposedly use other people's skills."
His mind wandered slightly back to when he was picking out his subclasses. He read up on each of them to see which would have best fit the idea that he and his friend had before they split up to join this game. He had chosen scholar because he absolutely loved learning, and thought that knowing what enemies could do would grant them extra knowledge of how to beat them and stay alive. He looked between the two of them before offering the female his hand after a quick bow. "My name is Weegee, as it goes in this land, and this is my friend..." He raised an eyebrow as he thought to himself. "Well, my new friend who has yet to introduce himself." He chuckled again, more heartily than last time as a deep voice echoed inside his head. 'You idiot! Are you really calling this man, that you barely know, a friend? You're just trying to get stabbed and sent back to spawn without your stuff, aren't you!' Luigi waved the voice away inside his mind, sending it back into the murky darkness of his subconscious. He wouldn't have any of James's arguments right now, he was busy trying to make some new allies.
"What would your name be then, madam?" His attention would return to the female for a moment as he awaited her response. Once they all had introduced themselves, Weegee would take a seat once again on the floor, smiling softly as he looked between the two of them.

When the moon casts shadows long across my wall I'll pretend they are my friends & I've known them all along words 348
| The topic of conversation was suddenly diverted to a discussion on the possible combination of skills from different classes. When Weegee mentioned the Apprentice skills, the blond haired man decided to add in his own opinion on the matter.
"I believe it's currently impossible for one to learn skills from other Main classes. The only skills you can learn through Apprenticeship are from the subclasses; such as the Pathfinder, Scholar, and Merchant. Unless there is another...patch which shall upgrade the game's current system." He explained, adding the last sentence as an afterthought with a finger under his chin.
But the more he thought on it, the more he realized that the way he perceived Elder Tale may not be as accurate as he first assumed. The world they were in now was not necessarily the same one they had played in, after all.
For one thing, they have been physically transported here. Crafting has also taken an interesting turn for the better, as more and more Adventurers discovered that the quality of a craft item improved when they created them manually, instead of doing it through the system - a feature that didn't exist before the Catastrophe. There was still so much they didn't know and - perhaps - it was possible for a player to learn skills from other Main classes.
The brown haired man began speaking again, and tried to introduce Indy - until the other realized that he didn't know his name. The Bard chuckled and gave a small nod of greeting. "I go by the name of Indy. A pleasure to meet you." He was fully aware that the other player had referred to him as a friend, despite only meeting each other in less than a day. He didn't mind it so much, so he didn't deny the claim.
He turned his gaze to the pink haired woman when Weegee asked for her name next. "I suspect that you came here because of my performance earlier. If I had disturbed or offended you in any way, I sincerely apologize." He made a low bow before her.

"Hmm hmm, that would be great if it did." Okami placed a hand on her chin, stroking a non-existent beard in contemplation. She was vaguely familiar with the classes involved with Elder Tales. She'd gone through the list, of course, with family members discussing their class selection. But that didn't mean that here, in the game, she remembered every little detail involved with every class. That would be unrealistic, she'd think. Especially when the fox-tail considered at the time that she could just have easily pulled up a wiki or information site on Elder Tales to discover what she needed to learn on a classes skill set whenever she needed to. Now the sorcerer kinda wished she could remember more on these various roleplay and crafting classes. Would be so helpful right now. "Apprentice sounds so amazing~"
And then the blond man had to go and open his big mouth. Okami's ears dunked down in despair, slouching her body in disappointment. "Awww...." She announced, looking pitiful over the revelation that she couldn't, in fact, be a kung fu wizard overlord that ruled with an iron fist of sunny tyranny.
Which perked back up in curiosity when a hand appeared in her vision. Looking up with blinking eyes, the monk had offered a hand and his name, Weegee. Her tail flickered back to life, excited about absolutely nothing amazing, which was bar the course with her. Taking hold of his hand, gently, the lady of dark magic grabbed the hem of her skirt and curtsied with a little more grace than some might have thought possible from the stumbling ball of fuzz, "A pleasure to make your acquaintance, master Weegee~" She offered serenely, doing her best to hold back the rising giggles in her throat. And failing.
"and of course, a wonderful greeting to you Mister Indy~" The sorcerer added on after the blond man had introduced him-self. "My name is Okami~ I am the most wonderful, kind, magically inclined, fluffiest fox-tail in Elder Tales~." All said while holding on to the monks hand, doing her bed to not bounce back and forth on her feet. She was aiming for something looking like two dancers gracefully holding hands, as the lady had just been released from her spin and about to be pulled back into the arms of her male counterpart. What it probably really looked like was a grown man holding the hand of an overly excitable child.
And then the man had dropped the bomb on his atrocious playing. The fox-tail froze in place, like a naughty child that had been caught with her hands in the cookie jar, and shrunk a bit in place. "Ehehehe...I-it wasn't too bad," The sorcerer lied, ears twitching in despair at the sheer thought of hearing that terrible melody again. "Um, um, everyone starts a-at the beginning?" Her tail laid lifelessly behind her, and the sorcerer was trying to remain bright and cheerful but was coming up rather short.

I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
From his position on the floor, he felt rather comfortable as his two black tails gently swayed back and forth. Of course, the conversation had taken a turn for the strange, with the female calling him 'Master Weegee' for some reason or other. He had shrugged it off as simply a type of speech pattern that she had, and watched her excited attitude quickly cease as Indy mentioned his playing. He returned himself to an idea that had sprung up in protest to Indy's thoughts on the Apprentice. "However, about the Apprentice, only the first skill was really announced to us outright. Who knows just what other skills could become available to Apprentices of higher levels? If, indeed, it were possible, you'd still have to find a Monk to team yourself with in order to make use of those skills, as I do believe either way it would become limited to the available skills of party members near you, much like the Apprentice's first skill."
He tapped his chin with his eyes closed as he thought about it. It did kind of make sense to him once he thought of it that way, but he felt that adding in one more piece could help seal the drama that may have started. "Anyways, people have to have a dream, or we'll end up like those people loitering around London waiting to be rescued. Without aspirations or hope, the human mind becomes a fragile piece of glass, easily shattered by the merest touch." He looked at Indy as he spoke the last part, an expression on his face that made it seem as though he knew exactly what it was like to be in the situation he had just described. "The cruelest crime against another is to remove their hope... For then what point does life have aside from the dismal drum of time as you tread down a chosen path to the days beyond, with nothing to smile for? A life like that... is no life to live." His face quickly spread into a smile as he changed to a more uplifting thought. "Besides, there are too many natural beauties in this world not to be happy with this world."
He laid back as he sighed, staring intently at the ceiling as he thought of things. He thought of the gorgeous sights he had seen across the world during his travels to find his lost friend. The magnificent trees, the amazing flowers, all of it so wonderful he had to stay for an entire day to absorb their full beauty. 'Being trapped in a world without death, means I can see the sights that I couldn't even try to see in real life.' He chuckled as he spoke out loud on accident. "Besides, there's a great beauty here as well."

When the moon casts shadows long across my wall I'll pretend they are my friends & I've known them all along words 396
| As the blond haired man listened to Weegee's explanation, he retained his thoughtful pose and frowned. "You are quite mistaken sir. The Monk class is a Main class, while the Apprentice class is a subclass which only allows you to learn skills from other subclasses. Unless the game has changed to an extent that the old rules of the Elder Tale game that I am familiar with have become obsolete, one cannot learn any skill of a different main class."
When he saw the stricken expression on pink haired woman named Okami, he softened his gaze and added, "Of course, the system running in this world may be different from the game. Perhaps one could learn skills from other main classes. It is a possibility that no one with the Apprentice skill has explored yet."
When Weegee spoke some more, Indy couldn't help but blink in bewilderment. How on earth did we go from discussing the Apprentice class to having a philosophical discussion on happiness, hopes and dreams? The blond haired man felt even more confused when the brown haired Adventurer gazed upon him with a somber expression. Why did he glance at him that way? Was there something expected of him? Was he supposed to say something?
For some reason, it felt like the message was directed at him in particular, but he couldn't understand why or what he'd done to elicit such a speech from the other player. In the end, there was not much that Indy could say in response. "I - Indeed..." Was all he managed to say, thinking that it was better to simply agree than to oppose.
He was eager to switch the subject of conversation once more, and did so by turning his gaze back to Okami and smiling at her reactions as she tried to compliment him on his performance with the violin. He let out a chuckle and shook his head. "There's no need to spare my feelings Miss Okami. It was atrocious, even to my ears. I was too arrogant; thinking that I could play a particularly difficult piece with my current level of skills." He placed a hand to his chest and bowed slightly.
"When I improve on my skills, I hope to play a better piece for you. And I promise not to shatter any eardrums the next time." He added with a mischievous grin.

"You don't have to be so mean about it." Okami declared, looking between the two as they continued to talk about the apprentice class. Of course it wasn't really 'mean' of them. They were simply discussing the fee-sable mechanical functions, what was actual possible with this class within the boundaries of the set system that was Elder Tales. It wasn't their fault in the slightest that she was starting to feel annoyed at their continued need to crush on her kung fu wizard dreams. totally not their fault in the slightest.
But that didn't stop her from being huffy about it, "Hmph!" She crossed her arms and looked away from the two, tail flicking back and forth agitatedly. Though, admittedly, Indy's attempts to sooth out her emotions easily made a crack in her meager attempt to act angry. She was too easily swayed by others, some would say, and couldn't keep angry for long. Too much warmth and bounce in that tiny body to hold any kind of grudge.
And then Sir Weegee started up his inspirational speech of how they needed to, well, do things instead of just waiting around to be rescued. She slowly released her-self from her temper, looking over to the man with interest. It wasn't as if she hadn't already figured this out, if only in the back of her mind as she launched her-self from group to group looking to bright up peoples days. It was a way to keep busy and on her feet, and the fox-tail had even managed to gain some levels in her class as a bonus. The sorcerer looked out of the corner of her eyes at the currently lack of two tails that she'd clicked off with the race toggle. A sign of her significant increase in power from the start of her little adventure.
"Mhmm, gotta keep your-selves busy or you'll just go crazy from boredom~" She nodded eagerly, agreeing with the monks words.
"A-ahh," The sorcerer looked back over to the bard, poking her fingers shyly. "I-w-well," she fumbled, looking sideways, "my ears have al-lways been sensitive, you know? And being a fox-tails not exactly helping..." Fingers continued to poke one another, as the woman tossed out a sort of reason-excuse. Then, with all the grace and daper of a proper gentleman, provided her with a smooth bow and promise for better playing. "Y-yes, I would be most happy to hear you play..."
Her apparent hesitation probably wasn't helping her claim.

I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
"Oh you'll only get better with practice Indy, that much is a given." Weegee looked up at the two of them and noticed the unnerved demeanor that Okami displayed at the mention of Indy playing his instrument once more. His mind slowly came up with an idea, one that had been buried under the recent activities he had pursued. He closed his eyes for a moment before he hopped onto his feet and stretched to get rid of the tension in his back. "Hey, you know what? I was actually on my way to go find one of the waterfalls I heard a rumor about earlier this morning. If either of you would like to join me, I'd love the company." He would look between Indy and Okami as he awaited their decision. If neither of them wanted to go, he would simply bid them farewell and head off into the forest. If they did want to however, he would wait for them to get ready before he started his journey.
Once on his way, Weegee would travel to the nearby river and begin following it. A sole voice came bubbling up from the depths of his mind as he walked through the shady forest. 'Did you have fun in that dusty old building? Or are you much happier out here in the forest?' Weegee would run his hand along the bark of trees he would pass, seeming to gently caress them with care. 'I'm definitely happier out here. Nothing can beat the splendor of nature, even if it was digitally created at first.'

When the moon casts shadows long across my wall I'll pretend they are my friends & I've known them all along words 271
| The pink haired woman's reluctance didn't faze the Bard. He smiled at her and nodded, as if they had agreed to an actual arrangement. A mischievous spark lit up in his eyes - not seen by either of the Adventurers - as he spoke once more. "I would like to add you to my friends' list then, Miss Okami. That way, once I've improved my skills, I may call on you and invite you to hear me play." He said as, with a few swipes of his hand, he sent the Fox Tail a friend request. "I look forward to playing for you!" He added with an exaggeratedly enthusiastic grin.
Weegee next invited them to find and visit a waterfall that was rumored to be in the area. Indy crossed his arms in thought as he considered it. "Hm...although my interest is piqued by the thought of finding a waterfall, I was somewhat preoccupied when you and Miss Okami bumped into me." He hadn't been playing just for fun, after all. He truly was sincere in working to improving his skills as quickly as he could. "Perhaps some other time, Sir Weegee. Here, I'll add you to my friend's list so you may call upon me anytime you wish." His hands moved in the same gesture when he added Okami to his contacts. Once that was finished, he took a few steps backwards and made a low bow to the two players.
"Lady, sir, it has been a pleasure speaking to both of you." After straightening up, he turned around and began to walk away, leaving the room and the others behind.
