"Well... this is unexpected..." Neon mumbled to himself, blinking in surprise as he looked out over the overgrown city from his vantage point. He had appeared suddenly on the rooftop of a large, heavily overgrown building, about five or six stories high, with his staff in hand and his cloth armour on, however standard it was. "Strange." The only word that he could give the experience he was having right now. After all, it's not every day you suddenly get zapped somewhere else, without any knowledge of why or how. The last thing he remembered was being on his computer, getting ready to play Elder Tale... Wait... Elder Tale! Neon thought to himself, his eyes darting from one end of his vision to the other. I'm in Elder Tale! But... how...?
Whatever questions he had, Neon wouldn't be able to answer them from up here, not quick enough in any case. He turned away from the edge of the rooftop, and began walking around atop the building, looking around for a way down. "I'm in luck," Neon said softly to himself, as he spotted a staircase on the side of the building, though it was fairly rusted and worn out, with vines covering almost all of it, making it a visible death trap. "Here we go..." He mumbled to himself as he stared down over the edge at it, nervously clutching his staff tightly in both hands. He released his left hand from his staff and held it as tightly as possible in his right as he manoeuvred himself down onto the first landing of the staircase. He could feel it rattle from his weight on it, taking it slow and steady as he began to descend. Each placement of his foot was another puzzle, as he tried his best to keep himself, and the stairs, from collapsing, weaving each step between large vines that had climbed and entangled themselves into the metal. The further down Neon went, the more rickety the staircase became, his eyes getting wider and wider each time he heard a creak beneath his feet. "This is going to be the death of me..." He mumbled to himself, as he looked up at how far he'd come. Unable to see through the vines and metal, he turned his gaze down, but that wasn't much better. "Just keep going... almost there..." He told himself, though it helped him very little. It was some time before he made it to the ground, and his body was shaking immensely from the experience. "Not doing that again any time soon..." He said to himself, looking back up at the building. He shook himself out, looking back down at the level he was at now. He looked from left to right a few times, observing his new surroundings. Time to find some others... He thought to himself. As an Enchanter, he wouldn't be able to survive long against the monsters he assumed would be out there, prowling through the wilderness. I need a group...

"Come on. Come on. Three...two...one!" Myrddin croaked as he attempted to get up from his sitting position. With a vine wrapped around one hand and the other gripped tightly on his forearm he wrestled to stand. Curses oozed from his lips as his eyes darted over his shoulder to make sure no one was around. He didn't want people to see him struggle, especially with something so natural as basic motor function. Myrddin pulled with all his might, his arms pulsated and his teeth pressed hard into each other and if he didn't know better Myrddin would think he tasted blood. Finally after his ten minute fight the enchanter was standing tall once again. His forehead was pebbled with sweat and his body hummed with adrenaline. "Hell yeah, suck it body." He breathed, bending slightly at the knees and waist in order to brace his hands on his knees. "T-this is a game. Why is it so difficult to use my legs?" He wondered aloud, oblivious to the fact that his inner monologue was being spoken to the empty air.
"Now, how did I get here?" Myrddin inquired, now free to focus on the area around him. On his initial observation he noted numerous tall buildings overrun with plant life. On further inspection he realized that the structures were quite old looking, and that he could smell the damp atmosphere of this pla- "Huh..." He sniffed twice, "I can but...how is that even..." His words trailed off as he lifted his palms from his knees and turned them over. The palms of his finger-less gloves were damp and smeared with emerald green moss. Myrddin stared at his palms for a subjective eternity, his mind flipping over itself with questions. "Icouldn'tsmellorfeelthisafewminutesago...right?" His words spewed from his mouth in what sounded like one long word, his chocolate brown eyes were wide, reflecting his surprise and confusion.
"How the hell did I get here? I was just doing the tutorial right?" He asked himself almost frantically, one hand holding his head as if he could prevent the onset of a migraine. "Y-yeah...yeah I was doing the tutorial then I woke up right here." Myrddin lowered his hand and looked at the area he was standing at, he still didn't trust his motor skills yet. On the mossy, grass covered ground was a single staff. He recognized it as the same one he had during the tutorial. "Okay, so I still have my staff. What about everythi-crap!" The enchanter shrieked, he had accidentally shifted his body in a way that caused his right leg to give out. A moment later he found himself laying on the ground once again. "Sonova..." He growled and shifted his body so he had his back to a nearby pile of rubble. He glared at his light brown starter boots, "Looks like we're gonna Kill Bill this shizz." Myrddin performed a four-count inhale before he exhaled. "Wiggle your big toe."

Neon's ears pricked as he heard something, not too far from him. "What was that...?" He mumbled to himself, clutching his staff tightly in both hands as he looked around for the source of the noise. "It sounded like a person," He remarked, as he stepped out from the shade of the building and out onto the street, trying to get a better view of his surroundings. All he could see was old, dishevelled buildings with moss and plant-life covering every inch it could. "This place has gone to crap."As he began walking along the street, the noises grew louder and louder. He held his staff ready, darting his eyes around as he continued to search for the person or thing that was making the racket. As he got closer and closer, the noises became more and more distinct. Definitely a voice... Neon thought to himself. But is it safe to just be walking up to people? As he rounded the corner, he was surprised when he spotted a lone man, rather human-looking, who was struggling on the ground. "He looks like he needs help..." Neon mumbled to himself, observing the man from afar. He held his staff in one hand, leaning on it with the end planted on the ground, as he contemplated his next move, using his free hand to scratch at his scalp through his hair, as his mind began to weigh the pros and cons of the situation. Finally, after much deliberation, Neon let out a heavy sigh, and stood up straight off his staff as he prepared to approach. "Let it never be said that I left someone without help."And so, holding his staff in his right hand, clutching it tight, he trudged forward, walking slowly towards the strange man as he struggled himself up against a pile of rubble. He began using his staff as a mock walking stick in his right hand to keep his tempo slow, ready to act if the situation changed in any way, his free hand raised to twiddle with the side of the frame of his glasses. He approached the man, nervously holding his staff tightly in his right hand, extending his left out to the stranger. "Need some help?"

"Wiggle your big toe. Wiggle your big toe. Wiggle your...WIGGLE DAMN IT!" Myrddin growled, his patience for his motor skills was short. "I thought you played games to do what you normally couldn-"
Need some help?" A voice asked which startled and stopped the half-alv's complaints. Myrddin jerked his head up to see who spoke; whom appeared to be a young man with blue hair and red rimmed glasses. He walked with a slow pace, a cautious move no doubt. The boy wielded a staff in his right hand which identified him as a caster, and his other hand extended toward the prone man.
Myrddin noticed his slow pace and held up his right hand in a greeting. "Stay back, you don't want to risk getting attacked by my noodle legs." He replied sardonically with an exaggerated kicking gesture with his fingers and proceeded to lift his right leg with his hands and drop it gracelessly to the ground. After a moment the young man sighed, "I'm just having some mobility function problems. Sorry for the sass, it's just frustrating." Myrddin apologized as he ran his fingers through his braids. "I figured I could...reenact that scene from Kill Bill and it'd be fine. Do you happen to know any tips or tricks to being able to walk again?" He asked, the burn of embarrassment spread across his face.

Neon chuckled softly at the stranger's comment on his legs, taking his hand in his and shaking it gently to return the greeting. He released his hand and stood back up properly, observing the man's leg lift and fall like a sack of potatoes. "Yes... Noodle legs... I see..." He held his staff tight as he rubbed his chin with his left hand, observing the situation and trying to think of a way to solve the stranger's problem. He shook his head as he heard the man apologise. "No please, I understand your frustration. No need to apologise."Confused as to what the stranger meant by 'Kill Bill', Neon simply squatted down beside him to get a better look at his situation, as well as to listen to his words. "Do you happen to know any tips or tricks to being able to walk again?" He heard the man ask, causing him to spring into work mode, as he analysed the entire environment and situation. Let's see..."Based on the fact you were able to stand earlier suggests your legs aren't broken," Neon started, gesturing to the man's legs. "This is supported by the fact it wasn't painful to lift them." He shuffles over in his squat to stranger's legs. "Seeing as they are in working order, the only other logical explanation, is that you don't know how to use them..." He looked back up at the man, tilting his head to the right as if he was asking him a question. Neon stood up from his squat, once again extending his hand out to the man. "So, we're going to have to teach you how to walk, yes?" He suggested calmly, holding his staff behind him to give the man room to get up.

"Based on the fact you were able to stand earlier suggests your legs aren't broken," The young man stated while he gestured to Myrddin's legs.
"Aye, I was fine earlier when doing the tutorial. I'm just not sure what happened to change that." The half-alv interjected as he used his noodle-like appendage to try and bring his staff closer. After three attempts the staff ended up farther from him than it was before which prompted sigh-like groan.
"This is supported by the fact it wasn't painful to lift them." He shuffled over in a squatted position toward the lifeless limbs. "Seeing as they are in working order, the only other logical explanation, is that you don't know how to use them..." He looked back to Myrddin with his head titled questioningly.
"Well this body isn't like my body in the real world. I mean that's why you play games, right?" Myrddin said with a shrug as his eyes squinted into a glare directed at his staff. "Would you mind?" He asked and extended his index finger toward the hunk of carved wood.
The stranger stood up from his squat, once again extending his hand. "So, we're going to have to teach you how to walk, yes?" He suggested calmly, his staff held behind him to offer more room.
Myrddin chuckled, and clasped his hand in the young man's."Hopefully they have a montage system in this game. Even Rocky had a montage. Be gentle." He joked as he prepared himself for the assist. "Wait..." He said suddenly, his mind rolling with a theory. "If I'm having trouble with my body here..." He trailed off at the thought. "Have you had any problems with your body? Anything that you feel is different compared to normal?" He asked as he lifted his head to look at the young man.

others in my element
The day for a certain werecat Enchanter seemed to go a little differently than he planned. After accepting a quest from a Lander involving a package delivery to a friend at the other end of the city, Dusky felt like taking all the paths that most people normally avoid. Most avoided traveling on them because most of them were too long, and the others were just ones that seemed dangerous, like a shortcut that involves going down a nasty-looking alley in a dangerous city. However, this adventurer wasn’t traveling by roads. No, they were too tame for this adventurous soul. Instead, Dusky decided to hop from ruined building to ruined building, checking out the rooms if someone should be hoarding additional loot somewhere. As he neared a building with an abnormal amount of overgrowth, he thought he heard a yell. It didn’t seem to sound like one of abject terror. Just intense mild frustration. Climbing (and sometimes jumping) down a couple flight of stairs to get a little closer to the ground, Dusky leaned out one of the windows to see what all the hubbub was about. One hand/paw was raised above his eyes to shield them from the sun as he looked onto the scene below, the other tightly wrapped around the parcel he was supposed to deliver. As his eyes focused, a figure of a young man could be seen on the ground below. He moved very slowly, his form suddenly lying down, as if the adventurer suffered from a bad case of narcolepsy or something. His curiosity piqued, he climbed out the window, using the plant-life as hand and foot holds as he made his climbed down. Not yet interested in revealing himself yet, the werecat crouched behind a bit of shrubbery. The young man from before was sitting on the ground, mumbling and grumbling at his feet as if they wouldn’t work right. After a couple minutes, he observed the player trying to get his bearings again, only to fall once again into a heap. Dusky held a paw up to his mouth to muffle the laughter that threatened to force its way out. Another person suddenly came into view, asking if Mr. Ramen Limbs was needing any help getting used to the environment. As he watched them slowly figure out the system, he decided he’d make things a little interesting by giving them a ‘quest’ to complete. First, to make sure that they noticed, he grabbed one of the bush’s limbs. With a great shake, the leaves rustled loudly, the force of Dusky’s movements shaking the other limbs as well. Assuming that the two had noticed his little leaf maraca performance, the werecat took his parcel and pushed it out into the clearing. After waiting for a couple seconds, he expose one of his black fur covered arms and retrieve it, hoping that the sight was enough for them to walk over to his position. If that doesn’t grab their attention, I don’t know what will…Words: 501 | Tags: Neon MyrddinOOC Notes: Casually joining fellow Enchanters.

Neon nodded in agreement as the stranger referred to the tutorial, remembering it well when he had loaded the game up. Something strange is definitely afoot here... He thought to himself as he grasped the man's hand with his own and tugged back hard, hoisting the stranger up onto his feet. Once again he looked at him with a confused expression when he said 'Rocky', after all, it was more overgrown than rocky in the environment they were currently situated in. Instead of pushing on the matter, he simply shrugged his shoulders and ignored it, smiling as if he knew what the other player was talking about. Having helped him to his feet, Neon released his hand and moved his own one to the stranger's shoulder, gripping it tightly so as to steady him in case he lost his legs yet again. "Have you had any problems with your body? Anything that you feel is different compared to normal?" He heard the man ask, causing him to chuckle softly at him, lifting his head up slightly to smirk at him. He pulled his staff forward and wiggled it, tapping the top end of it against the rim of his glasses gently. "They give it away?" He asked humorously. "I can assure you I can't see anything without these things." He let out a soft sigh after he spoke, but smiled all the same as he returned to the matter at hand. "I'm going to let you go here so I can go grab your staff, so just stand still, keep your balance, and don't look down." He laughed softly at his last comment, aiming to lighten the mood, as he slowly released his grip on the stranger. He waited with his hand ready until the man had steadied himself, smiling and lowering his hand down to his side as he stood up straight. Without delay, Neon quickly stepped over to the stranger's staff, which denoted him as a caster... or a guy who likes to carry a staff... Either way, he needed it to help him with his walking, so he bent down to it, grasping around it with his hand and lifting it up. It was difficult, holding two heavy staves in each hand, as they're normally designed for two, but he felt pretty cool for that split second he held them both ready. Dual-wielding staves... I could get used to this... He thought to himself, before shaking the idea from his mind, quickly hopping back over to the stranger to hand him his staff. "There you are, one walking stick."Suddenly, his ears pricked again as he heard the sound of leaves and branches rustling against one another, and loudly. He turned his head to the source of the noise, spotting a tall building with a large amount of overgrowth, similar to the one he had spawned on top of. He didn't feel any wind, not enough to make that much noise anyhow. Someone is watching us...As if in answer to his thought, a strange parcel suddenly appeared out into the clearing from behind a shady-looking bush. Not suspicious at all... Neon thought, blinking his widened eyes in surprise as a black, fur-covered arm suddenly protruded from the bush, retrieving the parcel and pulling it back behind the bush. Neon grasped his staff in both hands, turning himself to face the bush. He began cautiously walking towards the bush, staff held up at the ready to smack away anyone... anything... if it tried something. No point shouting at it, he thought to himself. It knows we're here, and it knows we know it's here.

In response to Myrddin's inquiry the blue haired young man tapped his red rimmed glasses with the top of his staff. "They give it away?" He asked humorously. "I can assure you I can't see anything without these things." He sighed, "I'm going to let you go here so I can go grab your staff, so just stand still, keep your balance, and don't look down." He chuckled and relinquished his grip on the half-alv's hands. Myrddin wobbled a bit but successfully managed to stay up.
"And no dinner first? Tsk tsk tsk." He quipped with sass as he did all he could to stay up-right on his feet. The blue haired youth swiftly retrieved the staff and returned it to his hands. "Much appreciated...uhh..sorry, what's your name?" He asked as he grasped the thick staff and used it to keep balance. While it was still difficult the assistance of the staff helped out greatly. Though it seemed his question would have to wait to be answered as a rustle of leaves shattered their casually awkward conversation. Myrddin's eyes darted in the direction of the noise and stopped on a large section of vegetation on the side of a tall building. The leaves of the branch still shook from the movement.
Wind? No...there wasn't any that I felt. Maybe a small creature was in the bush? Unlikely, the sound was too loud to be a small creature. Plus we're in town, right? There are defenses that protect the town and the players in it. So then...what? Could it be a person? It's possible, after all all people have the strength to shake a branch. Maybe... The enchanter thought, he remained stationary as toppling face first to the ground was not the on the top of his to-do list. Myrddin turned his head to look at the boy, he too was focused on the bush, and he looked as if he was ready to pounce if need be.
"Be carefu-" Myrddin tried to say before something moved in his peripheral vision. A box-like object slid against the ground. What is this; a Giving Tree knockoff? He thought snarkily as a black appendage, possibly an arm, reached out and slid the object back into the bush. Uh-huh...right... Something about this seemed off to Myrddin. Well more so, aside from the wannabe Santa shrub and the black limb. He watched as the youth positioned his staff in both hands and turned in order to face the vegetation. He advanced toward the bush with careful movement.
"H-hey, Blue." He stuttered and chose a quick moniker for the boy so he knew who was being addressed. "Why not just wai-Hey Giving Tree!" Myrddin called, forgoing his original course of action. "What do you want?" He asked, still posed like an awkward tripod by the rubble.

batman's the night, but i'm his shadow
The werecat’s ears twitched back and forth as he listened to the two’s reactions. Peeking through the bushes again, he observed that the bespectacled lad was slowly approaching with his staff raised high. The other suffering debilitating walking issues, had suddenly called out to him, mistaking the bush that he had shaken for a tree. To further go along with the currently handicapped player’s delusions (and also to avoid the possibility of getting hit on the head with a blunt object), he crept along the ground, silently climbing up the first tree he could find. Unnoticed, Dusky climbed on the sturdiest limb he could find, lightly dropping to his feet as he withdrew his own staff. Taking the wooden spell-casting instrument, he used it to lightly tap the awkward tripod’s shoulder, quickly holding it in a defensive position just in case he or his blue friend lashed at him out of reflex. He held his parcel slightly behind him with his other paw, not wanting his cargo to be damaged just because he decided to play a harmless prank on these two. Once the initial reactions had subsided and everything had supposedly calmed down, Dusky tucked his staff away, using his now free hand to give a small wave as he introduced himself to them. “So yeah, sorry about that. The opportunity to play a trick or two was too good for me to pass up,” he said, his whiskers twitching playfully as he felt a small impish smile spread across his face while listened to their responses (if they even responded at all). “You guys needing help getting the hang of walking?” he asked as he tossed his parcel lightly to himself. “If so, I’m making a delivery to an NPC not far from here. Care to tag along? It’d be good practice, plus I’ll split the reward with you two if you guys help this Werecat out.” He pulled up his menu, taking a quick look at his quest info, specifically the amount of the reward. “Wow, 1,000G. That’s pretty good for a starter quest. Oooh, and a drop item!”Closing the quest window, he looked expectantly at the two . “So, whaddya say? Help me out and get a quick 500G? All I want is the drop item, so you two can split the money.” As he stood there waiting, a sudden realization came across him, one so important that he almost visibly cringed as he suddenly remembered it. “Crap, where are my manners…the name’s Dusky. Fellow Enchanter and part-time Courier. Pleased to make your acquaintance.”Words: 428 | Tags: Neon MyrddinOOC Notes: There's no actual item, btw. Just for RP purposes.

Neon was focused on the bush intently, continuing to slowly move towards it with his staff raised. He put the words he heard from the man behind him in the back of his mind, remembering his question for later, when the situation had been dealt with. It hasn't acted so far... He thought to himself as he continued to approach the bush. He thought he saw something move from the bush, but shrugged it off as just him imagining things. Have to stay focused.Suddenly, he heard a tapping sound coming from behind him, and he quickly spun around to face the stranger from before. He blinked in surprise as he spotted a Werecat standing behind the stranger, holding a staff just as he and the man were. Three spell casters in the same place? Neon questioned in his mind, as he relaxed his body, gently releasing his grip on his staff and shifting into his right hand, holding it beside him as he scratched his scalp through his hair with his free left hand. Have the stars aligned or something? Because I certainly didn't plan this... It was then that Neon noticed the small parcel under the Werecat's arm, tilting his head to get a better look at it, his curiosity getting the better of him. "The opportunity to play a trick or two was too good for me to pass up," the Werecat responded, causing Neon's lips to curl into a smile. He laughed softly, before nodding in agreement, raising his left hand up in a stop sign to the Werecat. "No need to apologise, I understand." He nodded again, before lowering his hand back down, walking back over to both him and the stranger. "As you can see, I have no trouble walking. It's something I'm pretty accustomed to," Neon replied, tapping the side of his right foot with the bottom end of his staff lightly to emphasise his response. He turned his gaze to the other man, gesturing to him with his free hand. "My friend here on the other hand is having a bit of trouble, as you can no doubt tell."Neon listened intently as the Werecat explained his proposal, nodding slowly and repeatedly to show he was keeping track of his words. As the Werecat finished, he rubbed his chin with his left hand, looking down at the ground as he contemplated the idea, before shrugging his shoulders and nodding. "Sure, I could do with a quest, if at the least to get myself into the swing of things." He curled his lips into another smile as the Werecat introduced himself as Dusky. "Another Enchanter, eh? Well, it's a pleasure to meet you Dusky. I'm Neon," He replied, bowing in respect to Dusky, before lifting back up and looking over at the stranger between them. "And this here is..." He trailed off, realising he hadn't gotten the man's name.

He had received no answer from the bush and the young man he had called "Blue" continued forward, ever so cautiously. Whoever, or whatever, had been in the bushes remained silent, so much so in fact that Myrddin started to wonder if they had somehow imagined it. However, this was a fleeting thought as he felt something from behind him tap his shoulder. Fear rushed through his body as he reacted to the touch. Had his legs been in working order perhaps he might have been able to skillfully spin around. Instead, Myrddin found himself face-to-shin with someone new. His staff hit the ground and bounced a few times before it settled. To anyone that wasn't Myrddin that probably sounded like wood hitting stone; but to the half-alv, it was a serenade of dependence. The sound reverberated in his ears so subconsciously loud that he caught only the end of the stranger's initial words.
"... play a trick or two was too good for me to pass up." The stranger said in what he guessed was his apology. The sudden rush of fear the moment prior seemed to derail Myrddin's rain of thought. As he laid on the stone floor he stared at the stranger; whom was covered in fur that made Myrddin think he stared at he personification of darkness. He had bright yellow eyes, sported a red scarf around his neck, wielded a staff in one hand while he cradled the object from earlier under his arm. Due to the fur it was impossible for him to ascertain the stranger's age, though at the moment that was far from on Myrddin's list of things to know.
"No need to apologise, I understand." Blue replied,"As you can see, I have no trouble walking. It's something I'm pretty accustomed to." He stated and Myrddin heard him tap his foot against the bottom end of his staff. "My friend here on the other hand is having a bit of trouble, as you can no doubt tell."
"Hey, that's a fun idea. Lets play a joke on the cripple. I'm sure he can stand it." Myrddin hissed sourly, not realizing he had made a pun. He felt embarrassed and angry that he was in the same state that he was in the real world. He felt like the butt of a joke and at the current time, was not one to joke about it. His heart beat hard against his chest as he crawled over to his staff as the stranger offered to help with his predicament. He then spoke about some mission he was on and the reward for said mission.
"It’d be good practice, plus I’ll split the reward with you two if you guys help this Werecat out.” He made a gesture in the air and was silent for a few moments. “Wow, 1,000G. That’s pretty good for a starter quest. Oooh, and a drop item!” He said as if he were reading from something. “So, whaddya say? Help me out and get a quick 500G? All I want is the drop item, so you two can split the money.” The reward sounded impressive to the crippled enchanter, though he wasn't sure how he would help if he couldn't so much as walk.
As Myrddin pondered on about his perform anxiety the other two seemed to already introduce themselves and their class. Neon and Dusky...well their names surely fit them. He thought as Neon left an open sentence for him to follow their lead and provide and introduction. Myrddin tilted his head toward the ground and shut his eyes for a moment. "This isn't the badass way I wanted to introduce myself but I guess it will do; I'm Myrddin." He said with a sigh. "And it looks like if we were playing poker we'd be a three of a kind. Now can one of you help me back up?" He asked and lifted one arm into the air in front of him.
