"You know, smiling doesn't just have to be the result of an external source." Steel said in response to how the girl was acting as if she couldn't smile on her own as he turned around to face her. "Just turn that frown you almost always seem to have upside down and turn it into a smile." He then frowned himself and used his fingers to turn it into a smile albeit looking a bit silly in the process. "Remember what I said about how nothing will change for you if you don't change anything about yourself? This is probably an efficient and simple first step. Sometimes, a simple smile can go a long way." He said this with a bit of a carefree grin. "A hero huh? I guess I did sound like one with that line." Steel said as he thought about it. "Well then, it looks like I'll be your personal hero for tonight." He said this with a smile keeping the flow going. It was then he sensed something and began charging in the girl's direction with his swords drawn. He ran past the girl to hit something behind her. When the girl turned around, she would find that there was a level 6 Garden Snake that was hissing at the two of them. "Whew, it didn't get you. Looks like I made it before it could bite you. That camouflage of theirs is annoying." Steel said with a bit of a smile. "I told you before right? I'd be your personal hero tonight!" He then got into a fighting stance that was made from his kendo experience. "Dart Tack Target!" He exclaimed before attacking the snake and drawing all of the agro towards himself. vixi

"Where else could it come from then?" She thought too herself, her eyes watching the back of Steel's head as they ventured towards where ever it was that he was leading them. Most of her past was something she wished that she would one day forget, there was a time in which she could consider herself happy, even enjoying life as it was back then. It seemed like such a far away place too her now, and not for the fact that she was stuck in another world. Watching Steel as she spoke Vixi wondered just what her life might have been like if she had Steels up bringing, even with his disability she couldn't tell that anything was off about him, seeming to her like a normal happy go lucky person.
"Things that seem the most simple can turn out to be the most difficult...." Her tone was pessimistic, sounding almost as bitter as before and yet she continued on to follow him. Vixi wasn't exactly sure what was driving her to move ahead, maybe it was simply Steel's personality, or the want to change...or even for the fact that she really just wanted to stargaze... but in the end she marched forward, to a new future or the same dismal past she had been stuck in for years.
"Personal hero.... This is sounding more and more like a story one would hear a bedtime story, or a tale from a worn leather book... is this real? Or have I been drugged again?" Sighing quietly Vixi shook her head at the idea of it all, surely this was real...just like this world was... though it was hard to tell just was real anymore; was this world real? Was Steel even real? More for the matter was she even real? Though Vixi kept a silent, shy, wary appearance too all that she came cross her mind was always buzzing with idea of what this world had to offer, though she never expressed it openly. There was many different reasons why, mostly for that fact that she did not want to draw attention from other sources.
As the two continued down their trek something in the air caught Vixi attention, the rustle in the grass, a snap of a twig... something was coming, with her ears twitching like mad she spun around to see the gaping maw of a rather large snake as it lunged towards her. Vixi by no mean was a fighter, a defender, even holding a blade was something she had not mastered, but fearing monster was something that never seemed to faze her. Dying in this world was not the same as the world that they had all come from, here it meant pain for a short time then one would come back at the chapel. Staring blankly at the creature she was all expecting to be killed on the spot with her level being much lower than that of the snake, however in the last second of its approach a glistening silver blur stretched out in front of her following a large arch and struck the creature square between the eyes. Recoiling backwards in reddening rage and confusion it left them with a few seconds as the creature recovered from the unseen attack.
"...Right...." She responded her head dropping to the ground...was- was she disappointed? Had she wished to die here? Shrugging off the gloom that rested in her chest she looked back up too see Steel casting an aggro based attack, though with the first hit on the creature given by Steel she was sure that the snake already saw him as the biggest target of them all.
"Maybe I should help...." It wasn't in Vixi's nature to harm others, even animals for that matter..but she couldn't just leave Steel to face the creature alone, could she? Even with the snake being a level hirer than Steel, he was more than capable of killing it by himself, though not without a cost to his HP. Spells, abilities and items made it so that adventure could face such creatures much higher than them and still survive, unlike the people of the land, though some did posses some powers most were undefended from the monsters that wandered the lands.
Taking the silver engraved flute from the small leather pouch she had on her hip Vixi placed the end piece right over her lips and began to cast a spell, though the spell its self took 3 seconds to cast, it would help much in the fight to come.
"Ballad of the Gullible Snail" She spoke in her head as a blue wave would radiate out from her like a beacon, sending a slowing wave out to every enemy within the 10 meter mark.

"Kofuna Shizen Ryu: Samidare!" Steel shouted before attacking with one of his own sword techniques from the real world. With a few slashes of his blade, he knocked the snake creature back a bit. Afterwards, he turned back to the girl and saw disappointment on her face as if she wanted to die and be sent back to the cathedral. "Oy, if you've got the time to think about dying, why not just live to the fullest till the end? Well, in our case, we just need to keep living with no regrets. Besides, it appears we have to pay a price when we die in this world rather than our life." He then turned back to the snake and kept slashing at it and the snake kept biting at Steel. Unfortunately for Steel, it appeared that the snake was faster and was able to deal and dodge more attacks than Steel could, making him take more damage than the snake. I need something to hold this thing off for even a second. Steel thought to himself as he barely dodged another lunge from the snake and slashed at its neck. It was then he heard the sound of a flute and saw a blue wave was coming from the girl he had been protecting. This was the bard skill Ballad of the Gullible Snail, a spell to slow down any enemies within 10 meters from the caster. With a smile, Steel charged in again. "That's just what I needed, thanks Fox Girl!" He exclaimed in thanks calling her Fox Girl for now as he didn't know her name and since she didn't want people to know her name, he didn't try to look at her status screen to find out her name. With the chance given to him, Steel used the skill Mirage Dealer to slash at the snake in a x shape before teleporting behind it. At this point in time, Steel used the skill Viper Raise to deal it a bleeding debuff. He then circled around the snake while attacking with Dart Tack Target and by the end of it, he was back in his original position in front of the girl. I have to keep the agro directed towards me. Steel kept thinking to himself knowing how he promised to protect this girl. vixi

As if blades of metal lightning had burst froth from Steel's expended wrist the multitude of seen swipes tore at the giant snake, taking each and every one of his attacks. Even though Vixi watched from only but a few feet ahead she wasn't quite sure just how many attacks he had just done, to her it all looked like a shimmering blur in the fading light of the suns rays. Surely it must have been at least two... though he wasn't much stronger than her in level it was clear that she was no where near the point of hoping to defend herself against someone with his skill set. Vixi was but a simple bard and nothing else, her abilities made her one of the strongest support classes in the game...or world, which ever it really was now, while she could eventually claim a few attacks they were no where as strong as the primary fighter classes. Thinking back about it now, she had only ever chosen a bard class because she loved instruments, but here... her class was meant to be played with others not something a loner would consider highly of; and she... she was not one a person would think very sociable.
Addressing Vixi as a Fox Girl she cocked her head too one side with question, it appeared that he had not seen her name...it was...strange... not just his actions but... the name...or was it a title? Maybe even a nickname... Fox Girl... it seemed to fit her well enough but the same could be said for many other players that roamed within this world.
With Steel blocking all the incoming attacks there was little else she could really do here, as it was her output of damage was limited to her one damage ability and her daggers, though she could attack if necessary she didn't wish any part of inflict damage on the creature; simply put she was just helping out a fellow adventure... nothing else.... As the blue wave that exploded froth from her met with the snake creature both Vixi and Steel could see the dramatic change in the creature movement, though it slowed it down a great amount allowing Steel for a greater advantage; it would only last for a short time, if he wasn't planning on becoming the snakes next meal then his time to pull out all the stuns was here and now.
As if Steel had been reading her mind another fury of attacks sprung forth from Steel, his mighty shinning blade seeming to come from every which direction his body could contort into. While Vixi tried to keep up with all of his doings she found that his movement speed seemed all like blurs to her, making the who deal more of a head ache than need be. Shaking off the feeling just as he appeared before her once again Vixi popped her head out from behind his well footed stance to glance at the creature, at this point it looked as though it had gone through the ringer a few times but it was still standing some how.
"Surely it must be close too...well...you know...." Her words seemed to grow fainter with ever passing second till they almost seemed to fade from the worlds surface. She really wished the creature would have died quickly, there was no need for such a slow and painful death on anyone... not even though most foul.

The snake was on its last legs and was almost out of HP. Steel decided to just end the battle as quickly as possible and began readying himself as the snake began to regain its speed. "Kofuna Shizen Ryu: Samidare!" He exclaimed before swinging his swords in a movement pattern he had memorized in his mind. The snake was already beginning to counter and to Steel, time moved slowly as the two opponents attacked each other. Out of battle instinct, he changed the movements of one of his swords to block the incoming fangs of the snake before using his other sword to rid the snake of its last health points before it fell unconscious. "Nice fight." He said to the snake before it burst into anima bubbles. He then turned to face the girl behind him and saw her saddened face. "Sorry about that, I'm pretty sure you don't like seeing animals in pain and you had to see that today." He then turned back around to where the last of the snake's anima fragments were beginning to float away and he put his hands together for some sort of prayer. After he was done, he turned back to the girl. "In my country, we pay our respects to the dead quite often." He said as he took a nearby rock and set it where the snake used to be. "Sorry, but this will have to do for a grave marker, even if it doesn't last long." He said to the rock which would be representing the snake. "Come on, we should get going then. If you don't want to fight any more monsters, we're going to have sneak through to the safe zone." Words: 285 vixi

Death was something that Vixi was all to familiar with now a days, she had seen adventures come to rise in the heat of a battle and fall just as quickly...however death was not the same in this world as the one before. Back home...death was...death can in too fashions; slow and painful, or quick and painless, here though, it seemed to lack the gore and blood than before. Here, it was... almost as though the person never existed, in just a poof of shimmering light their bodies where gone else where, not to a higher plan, not to a heaven or hell but back at the chapel. In a flash it could have been as though they've just awaken from a bad dream, though they were no longer in their beds, maybe far from where they had been or just a mile, sometimes it was hard to tell. As Steel was swaggering on his last strike Vixi's hand immediately went to shield her face, all along she had a theory of this world but never till this point had she actually seen a creature slain before her own eyes before... before it had only ever been other adventure.
With the shredding of flesh in the air Vixi shivered with fear, shame and shock, the sound was one she had heard before but it was the last blow that always go to her, as if the creature ever essence was torn out of its body with that single blow... and it was, steel through flesh and its soul into the sky. It was only when steel began to speak that she uncovered her eyes to which they grew wider with curiosity, seeing the answers right before her, laying in the bright bubbles that ever so slow raised into the sky for a bit until the disappeared.
"...we aren't that different after all..." She thought watched the bubbles as they danced into the fading light of the sun.
All along she had been trying to figure out just what this world was, was it real...was it fake... or was it something new that nobody had fully come to experience yet? The creatures, just like the adventures here all died in the same fashion... the anima, the soul, she had guessed at this point, what drove the beings here in this realm. Had she seen a creature die before this point she would have known sooner of this, but it seemed that just like the creatures of this world they suffered the same fate as the rest of them...at least the adventures, the people of the land...they were not as lucky...or was immortally a curse? If the creatures died like they did... did that mean they came back to life in the same fashion... did death have no purpose in this world?
The questions in her mind spun like a hurricane, blowing in ever which direction, had it not been for the world of Steel she might have stayed still there like statue for years and years to come, alone with her ideas... but as fate would have it, that was not her calling for today, at least not yet.
"No...it's quite alright...you had to do what needed to be done...otherwise... you would have ended up as its next meal." While Vixi could see the point and reasons behind Steel's casus she couldn't help but feel a drop of sadness that dwell in her heart. She knew that creatures must eat to survive and survival of the fittest but still... it was hard not to think so ill on the matter, after all... she had helped... her first kill... she took some solace in the fact that it had been a animal and not another adventurer but still....
"That's...unexpected...but on the creatures behalf, thank you...." Vixi spoke in a sad tone at the site, it was a kind gesture though she doubted the creature cared or even knew of what he was doing, however it brought a small sense of joy to her to see it.
Vixi had never been one to be called religious, or even spiritual in any sense of the word, but she understood and respected others beliefs, even still she was fond of what Steel had done. There was no real reason to have such a grave marker for the creature, it had no family, it was merely a wild animal...but he showed compassion for something he wished he did not have too...that spoke to her...maybe she had misjudged him...and all it took was a murder to do it...odd... but it worked some.
With his command to follow Vixi nodded her head slowly, resuming her trail a few feet behind him as they went along. Every few feet her eyes would wonder back to the small grave marker, they were not sad, there was no fear... just wonder, of what was, and what was not... what was it that was really going on, and why them of all people? She knew that none of her questions where ones that would be solved today, or even this week, it could be months or even years here before she might even know something true of this world. Nothing here was what it was shown at face value...maybe that was her purpose, to learn, study and understand... or maybe it was just the heat of the moment that had picked her up in its gales, blowing her about like a rag doll till she hit the floor hard... time would only tell. For now, she would follow Steel, the night was young and the stars were o' so bright.

“You know, if you focus on such difficult and perhaps painful questions all the time, you’re always going to look all depressed like that. Also, it’ll just stress you out a lot and probably just lead to more questions which leads to more stress.” Steel said after seeing the girl behind him have a serious expression on her face which looked like she was thinking deeply about something, probably about life, death or something of the sort since they just killed a snake and it had also burst into anima bubbles. She’s probably thinking about the whole death issue here in this world where we revive. Steel thought to himself. “Well, I’m not saying to never think about such thought provoking questions, I’m just saying you should think about some happy things as well. The world isn’t just filled with scary or bad things you know.” He said this with a small smile.
When she thanked him for making the temporary grave marker, Steel had a complicated expression on his face as this was a first for him. “Well, I’m glad your disposition has lightened a little too. Did setting up the grave marker really make you so glad?” Of course, the girl didn’t look too glad and as usual had a face that had an expression that was close to depression or fear and maybe other negative feelings but Steel could begin to sense that she had felt at least a little bit happy about what he did for the snake the two of them defeated.

Vixi listened patiently as Steel spoke, she respected his thoughts and didn't go about interrupting him but while she could see his point of view Vixi's judgement was a tad more clouded than Steel's was in that category. Vixi had seen the worst in people before, what truly laid under the smiles and false promises, it was nice to think of a world where nothing was evil, nothing was scary but if she didn't focus on though things she would be unpreaded to face them... just like the times before, it how she could stare death in the face without a hint of fear, because death was not the least of her problems. Though she thought to speak her mind on the matter she decided against it, not just for her own sake of going into a long discussion about the morals and studies of life but for Steel's own well being. He was right, she did focus too much of the negative but in the end it was for her own safety, she didn't know Steel very well but it seems like his worldly experience and past differed than her own, his life; even with his disease, seemed reality happy, full of joy, who was she to come into his world and drown him in her woes and wonders, she was no one.
It was clear to her that Steel was trying to do his best to cheer her up but it was not something that could be accomplished in a few days time, let along a few hours, often whenever someone did something to try and lift her mood they where always trying to get something out of her. It seemed like Steel had all good intentions a welcomed site in this world of crime and the many lawless in these parts, but not enough to truly defrost her heart.
"It...did...I suppose...it was just not expected of you, the mere fact that you did it took me by surprise... I don't like... seeing pain, or inflicting it, if death must come, then so be it... I just wished I hadn't been near by at the time. I do not know if there is a afterlife for these creatures, if they see what becomes after them, or if they just revive else where at a later time, but if there was a realm where they went to rest and have peace then I would hope it might... find some peace that it was not completely forgotten.... Sounds stupid when you say it out loud...." Her voice trailed off as her head slowly leaned back, her eyes catching the first glimpses of stars as they broke through the barrier of night fall.
"But still...I guess...suppose thanks are in order...so...again...thank you...." Her face grew red as the words flew from her lips and into the chilling air of the night. After all this time alone she had almost forgotten just how to give a real thank you...hearing her speak the words was like greeting a long lost friend, it was...nice to feel a small spark of joy, to know that this world wasn't filled with as much hopelessness as she first thought...there was evil, hate and corruption in this world... but it didn't seem to be here, right now at least.

"You have such a lonely expression on your face." Steel said when he turned to face her. "Your face just tells me 'My world is full of woe and sorrow and my heart is ice cold. I don't want to overwhelm you with my sadness.'" He said this in a joking yet somewhat monotone and serious tone. "You're not the only one with problems you know. Despite how I act, I didn't really have a happy past nor do I just forget about all of those negative things. I've seen the worst in people before just like I'm assuming you have based on how you act. Everyone in general is going to go through some rough times, some worse than others, but it won't do any good if you just hold it in like that. I'm not telling you to bare your soul to me or something but just talk to a friend or someone you can trust. That alone can make things better even if it's only a little bit. I'm still willing to hear you out if you want. Ever heard of the saying 'venting out your feelings into a hollow tree'?" "I guess it must have been hard for you to see that sort of thing in a game world like this." Steel said after hearing how she didn't like seeing pain or dealing it. "I guess it was more tolerable when you were seeing it from a screen since they were just data back then but it's a whole new story now huh? As for what becomes of them, if it follows the lore, their life energy returns to the spawn point where they reform and come alive again." He then heard her idea. "No idea is stupid, who knows? It might just be the case." He said this with a smile as the stars began showing up. "Awesome, the stars are beginning to come out! Let's get going to that star gazing spot!" He then heard her say thanks again. "You're welcome." Steel said with a warm smile in response. He then noticed her face was turning red. "Hey are you okay? Your face is turning red." He asked her as he squatted down a bit so they'd be face to face rather than him literally looking down to her due to height differences. vixiOOC: Venting into a hollow tree would be similar to talking to your stuffed animal or imaginary friend and Steel is offering to be something of the sort.

"The world I see through these eyes is full of sorrow... I wish it did not have to be this way, but it is what it is...." Steel was right about her as she thought of his words, she was often gloomy, it was a rare sight to see a smile spread across her face. Vixi didn't like to think that her heart was frozen over like a lake in the deepest months of winter but it was hard not to think that about her once someone spent some time at her side, knowing of her and knowing her where two different thing when it came down to it. She was a complex person, there was more beneath her surface that gazing eyes would know, but she dare not speak of such things... monsters, demons... she feared these things little, fearing only her thoughts of times past and things to come.
"I know this... people suffer...people are in pain. One might think it selfish to think they are the only one with a life of pain but I'm well aware of them... I'm sorry to hear, that you're life...before... or now isn't the way you wished...." Vixi paused letting Steel's words move across her like a flowing river, kindness, such an offer anyone would greatly consider taking him up on it but.....
"Death of a creature...was...not what I had been expecting...death is something I have seen before, though not of a animal...I was expecting, something different... but it matters not... I hope it finds peace... at least in some sort." She shrugged her shoulders slightly at the fact of the creature dying, while it pooled into sadness in her hear she tried her best not to show it to Steel, he had enough to worry about on his own with her weighing him down any.
Picking up on Vixi's reddened face her head shot towards the ground with speeds that would make Superman shamed. Vixi hated to show any emotions, less people find it as a gate way to what was going on inside her mind, she needed her thoughts to be hidden from all.
"I'm fine...just warm...." She muttered the lie as she tried to regain her composer as she flicked a few loose strands of hair from her face as they held limp to her skin. Finding herself once again she peeked at Steel through her long flowing hair as it covered parts of her eyes, almost as if it was a shield. Her face took on a serious look, glaceing him up and down for a few seconds at most while she compiled her thoughts.
"No... I appreciate the offer... I really do... it is not often... more rare in fact, that I can find someone so... so- willing to take up a cause that they gain nothing from... kindness, in its truest form... but... I do not wish to lay my burdens on others. Each of us have demons... at least of some type... I have barely just met you and already you have laid your life down for me; promised to be my protectorate, and giving me a shoulder to lay my sorrows out before... offers...that are more than generous...such gifts a king could not merely pay for. I am still not certain of you Steel... take that anyway you wish... I first thought...well that doesn't matter... but...watch yourself.... If this world had more people that...acted, like you do, it would be a much better place, but others... they seek to find those like...us, or...what I used to be. They thrive on us, feed away, till nothing is left... so please, keep your beacon of hope lit, burning brighter than the sun so that all may see what it is to be good, but heed this, keep them at arms reach... at least...at least until you know...." Her words were filled with melancholy, she hated to state the facts as they where, but if Steel didn't not know, he needed to be warned, her words could have been useless, things he knew, things he had discovered on his own, but could she even call herself human if she had no humanity to offer him warnings?
"...you do not wish to turn out like I have... but enough about that...shall we attend to the stars, they look...ever so lonely without company." Vixi was quick to change the subject though she had too reasons to do so, there was little to say that she had not already and Steel would most likely need time to process all that she just said.

“I see.” Steel said simply in response to the girl’s response about how she saw the world filled with sorrow. At this point, if he decided to question her any further, especially about her past, the conversation would probably just get more awkward and probably more depressing. “Must have been a tough life in the real world for you. Don’t worry, I won’t pry into it if you don’t want to talk about it.” He said before pausing a bit to think of something. “Well, just remember this then. Even if you lose all faith for the world around you, that’s something that’s happened to me sometimes, don’t ever lose faith in yourself. Don’t focus on the past or the future, just focus on the present where you’re here right now. There’s a saying where it says ‘Today is a gift, that is why it is called the present.’ We don’t want to waste that gift brooding over something that’s already happened or what will happen in the future do we?” He said this with his usual smile. “There’s no need to feel sorry about my past.” Steel said in response. “As I said before, the past is past and we shouldn’t spend all of our time brooding over it. You weren’t the cause of it or anything. I won’t feel sorry towards your past either.” He then realized that was worded wrong. “I think I just said that the wrong way. I’m not at all saying that I won’t care about it.” His social problems were beginning to be brought to light as his voice began to show slight panic at how he messed up his words. Pretty soon though, he regained his calm. “What I meant to say is that I think it’s pretty meaningless and sometimes hurtful to others to feel pity towards them, acting as if they know everything that’s going on with your life and what is going on inside your mind. I don’t want to be like that.” After Steel mentioned seeing the girl’s face get red, she immediately shot her face towards the ground at great speed to the point he hoped that her neck bones didn’t snap. When he asked her whether she was alright, he could tell she was lying as she flicked loose strands of hair from her face. “Got it.” Steel said in response to her answer in a tone that showed that he could see through the lie but he wouldn’t question her any further about that. He then noticed that she was looking him up and down through her hair but also decided not to point it out. He was curious however as to why she was doing that. It was then the girl began telling Steel a melancholy message about how that people like himself were rare and how others would seek people like him out and thrive on feeding on them metaphorically. He could tell that saying all of that at once must have been hard on her. “Thanks for the warning then. That must have been hard for you emotionally to say all of that right? SO thanks.” He said with a smile. “As for you, you’re talking as if you yourself don’t have that light anymore. Even if you can’t see it yourself, I can see your light clearly, sparkling through the darkness like stars in the night sky.” He then nodded and said with a smile. “Yeah, let’s go and see the stars together. I don’t think they’re lonely though, there’s so many stars right next to them and they want to show themselves off to us. Let’s humor them.” He then began to lead the two of them to the safe zone that Steel had picked for stargazing. “You know, they say that the night sky and the stars look different depending on whom you’re looking at them with. I think whoever said that is correct. When I look up at the sky myself, it looked so cold and dark, as if it were ready to swallow me up. When I looked up at the night sky with Kyousuke, the stars looked capricious and a little bit unstable but they were shining radiantly. I wonder what they will look like when I see them with you?” He said this in an inviting tone that showed slight anticipation. Since the girl he met today didn’t like to be touched, this was his way of extending his hand out to her without physically doing so. Words: 752 OOC: Sorry for the wait! And I used so many references from other series including Kung Fu Panda, Your Lie in April, and Gintama! vixi

Vixi had expected about as much from Steel's response as he spoke, simply put the man understood what she had to say though the pause afterwards, the silence that followed was heavy with deep thought, each of them off in their own minds but only feet apart from one another; mentally a void had formed between the lot. Peaceful, the space between their conversations, the moment left Vixi to look inwards towards herself, taking in her own words she had just spoken, it had been more than a mouthful, spouting out; more or less, sentences like a broken pipeline, gushing waves of water from its steel container. How had so much come out of someone who said so little? Was it pent up? Was a release value pressed? Or was she just fearful of seeing another transform into what she had become... Vixi had changed so much over the years, even after coming here she still found that the person that she was, was not the same as she was now.
Craning her neck off to the side Vixi viewed off into the depth of the horizon, where the trees broke and cast their graces upwards towards the dotting star filled nights that held to the curve of the world, daylight had passed, its old friend night was coming to visit once more. The two where always apart, never seeing both at their fullest at the same time, though they always shared the skies, holding hands till the end of time, where one began the other would end. It was similar too one of those sappy tales in which two lover could never meet, but only look at each other from afar, wishing to embrace the other at least once in their life. Vixi's eyes glowed softly in the dying light of the sun but the stars shown brightly in her wide blue eyes, they seemed to take upon an unnatural spark to them with the stars light reflecting off of them.
Breaking away from the silence that had grown between them Steel spoke up once more, his tone was solemn and yet... it held compassion with it, a tender kindness that could only ever come from the heart; brains where to logical, seeing things as what they could be, stone cold but productive in nature; hearts... hearts are moron's, following passions like a puppy follows its owner, weak... but, kind and caring, they saw what could be and not so much as what it is. From what Steel had spoke through their encounter she could tell that Steel was the later of the two, though not to say that he was stupid or lacked any logic skills, he searched with his heart, following where it told him to go... it was... a good thing... Vixi had been like that once....
"The light was dead... was it not?" Vixi questioned herself, there was doubt in her mind whether she truly believed what went on in her own thoughts, had seen convinced herself over time that everything was pointless... or was she staring the truth in the eyes but not wanting to believe it? Looking from the outside at herself; as if looking through the eyes of another, could she see the answers standing before her? Was it like an pane of glass; clear, non-existent from the right angle as it hovered before her face, but it could only be seen for what it truly was from the side, a place she could never visit.
Vixi opened her mouth to speak after Steel but with a shake of her head her mouth closed shut, there where thousands of things that paced inside her mind; prisoners in a cell they begged to be freed but sometimes nothing said could mean much more than everything said. A hard life was indeed she lived through, years back she remembered it all, every pain filled moment... she hated herself for thing she had it worse, many people had it worse than she ever did... thinking she should be happy for what hadn't happened... and yet, there was still hate, anger, the burning anguish at tore at her mind, her heart ready to burst with a voice that could shake the world...; she kept still, her voice trembled inside her chest, only heard by her own ears, what she wanted to say, but denied herself to.
Taking the lead Vixi followed a short distance in Steel's wake, waving back and forth her hand swung slowly at her sides with each step she took, with little to say at this point Vixi's mouth remained shut with a deadbolt, it was Steel's voice that echoed through the surrounding thicket. It was clear to Vixi of the invite in which Steel had given her thought it wasn't as though she was going to cling onto him for support, weep into her collar and confess all her woes... though it was a kind gesture of sorts.
"They always look... sad... longing... for something? More...? Stars... don't have emotions... but... they drive deep into another soul... answers? Or the truth? I suppose... people see, what they want to see.... " Vixi responded softly, her own voice causing her ears to flicker about.
