The wind was brushing against his face as the skateboard beneath his feet brought him down the streets. Hiro loved the feeling of wind against his body, and rushing through his hair. It made him feel all the more alive in these days, where the sun is getting cooler. Yeah, winter was on its way, for sure. But, today being one of the few days he has left before it starts getting colder, he decided he'd go out and do something. It served him some good, since he's had a rush to be outside and do things. He'd be stuck indoors once the cold season came through, though, he was more than sure. Then again, it might be better to get the trains up and running as soon as possible. But, today was one of those days where he just wanted to goof around and do nothing of utmost importance for a while. Well, maybe something of importance would come along and present itself to him, but that might or might not actually happen. For now, though, he rode his board through the streets, looking at what there was to see, if anything at all. That's when he spotted a bulletin board of sorts, just up ahead.
Hiro slowed his skateboard down to a halt, and hopped off it. He kicked it up into his hand, and looked at the message in question. It had a bit of bright text on it, reading something about Mentorship. It read, "HEY! YOU! Ever wanted to do some combat quests, but didn't have a high enough level or more combat oriented class to do it? Well, here's your chance! Mentors and Students alike, sign up your names, and you will be automatically paired up with someone from the opposite side! It's as easy as signing your name, then waiting for a partner to write their name! Go ahead, and sign up today!" The painfully powerful ad that someone put up for people to get to do quests outside of their boundaries or limitations certainly caught his attention, but would it bring about someone to sign it? Maybe. Maybe not. Hiro wasn't too sure, but it was certainly one hell of a good way to spend some time productively. He was familiar with the mentor system, and how it worked, so it wouldn't be that much of a problem for him to sign up and give this a whirl. Hiro opened up the interface, shrugged, and put his name on the "Mentor" side of the list.
Having completed that, and the jingle making it noticeable for him, he put his skateboard down and started to ride again. He wouldn't travel far, but probably go around the block a few times, or the next few blocks, and wait for someone else to put their name up. If all else fails, he could just skateboard around town and grab stuff he needed. But, he had a distinct feeling that someone may or may not need a hand with things, especially for a combat quest. From the fine print on the notice, it said something about choosing a quest at random for the Mentor and Student to take part in, based on the Student's level and class. It could range from killing 10 of one monster to killing only 2, depending on things. But, that's not taking into consideration that the Mentor may be a much higher level or not. Even if it's something like a Cleric working with him for this quest, it might still bring things up to 10 monsters to slay. Knowing the system, it'll probably be 10 Dull Green Slimes or something. He remembered doing the same thing with Neon a few days back, back when he started his whole Get Up and Do Stuff kick. He had fun doing that, since he had no idea how an Enchanter played or worked. Maybe he'd be caught by surprise again with whoever signed up for this Mentor/Student thing?

WE'LL CROSS THROUGH ALL THESE NIGHTS WE'LL CROSS THROUGH ALL THESE NIGHTS "Winter is coming..."
With her head resting on her arm and her arm resting on the window sill in her small rented room, Charuen watched with a peaceful expression as the last of the leaves loosened from the branches of the tall oak tree that stood right outside of the inn. The leaves, a brilliant shade of burgundy, floated down and joined the plethora of brightly colored foliage already scattered along the cobblestone street. Although it was by no means a gloomy day, the grey clouds that occasionally hid the sun left Charuen feeling rather unmotivated to venture out. She had spent the morning indoors, reading a recipe book she had picked up at the market earlier in the week. Charuen had plans to raise her crafting level, but had wanted to do a little bit of background reading before she did so. Crafting was quite alien to her, for she had ignored her sub-classes when she played Elder Tale on her previous account.
A quiet sigh escaped her lips as she moved away from the peaceful scene outside of her window. The adventurer floated towards her bed, with plans to take a nap in her mind. However, upon reaching it, the pink haired beauty hesitated, a look of conflict flashing across her face. Should she really be sleeping at a time like this? She glanced over at her status screen, and pursed her lips into a thin line as she saw the ridiculously small number that indicated her current level. No, she had better things to do than take a nap, such as training. She was already awfully behind other players, thus any loafing around would do her no good. Taking in a deep breath, Charuen turned away from her bed and walked over to the small wardrobe that stood by the door to her room. Upon removing the robe that she had been wearing for most of the day, Charuen then proceeded to put on her gear. After grabbing her staff, which had been leaning against the side of the wardrobe, Charuen left her room and exited the inn.
A small smile graced the pinkette's lips as she stepped onto the cobblestone street once more. It was indeed getting chillier by the day. The sun broke out from the confines of the clouds, basking city in a pale glow. A look of content appeared on the cleric's face as took a moment to appreciate the weather. Autumn had always been her favourite season; she loved the colourful leaves and the cool weather.
Charuen began walking down the street, with no particular destination in mind. Due to her low level, there was a limited amount of places that she could visit. She supposed she could go train in Windsor Greatwood, but fighting monsters always proved to be a challenge for clerics who were solo-ing. The adventurer slowed down to a halt and tapped her chin lightly with a long slender finger. If only she had someone to party with! The image of a soft spoken girl flashed across Charuen's mind, and a wave of sadness washed over her. If only she could find Mira's character on Elder Tale! Of course, that was assuming that Mira was logged onto Elder Tale when the Catastrophe occurred. The young woman let out a quiet sigh, missing her friend dearly. Just as she was about to continue walking, a brightly designed poster caught her eye.
"HEY! Go ahead, and sign up today!"
The Cleric tilted her head after reading the poster, an expression of wonder on her face. Was Lady Fortuna finally shining down on her? This poster seemed to be just what she needed! The smile on Charuen's lips widened, and opened up her interface. Upon placing her name on the "student" side of the list, the "ding" that Char had grown accustomed to sounded, and a message appeared in front of her. She had been paired with a mentor named Hirosame. The pink haired beauty's smile softened. Hirosame. The name sounded like it belonged to a kind person...Perhaps she would make another friend today! That would be absolutely lovely. NOTES:sorry for the mediocre post. kinda distracted/anxious about tomorrow. >_<

Since he had some time, Hiro decided that he'd go ahead and ride around a little bit more than what he intended to to begin with. Taking the time to look around the town a bit for what he may or may not need when he gets home, he took a look at the prices of a lot of the food in the nearby area. Taking a look at the time, and deciding that there was still probably a good deal of time, he started to pick up some of said food items and put them away in his inventory. Kicking off with his right foot, he started to ride his way back home towards Buckingham Palace once again. Bobbing and weaving through the streets once again, ones that he had become very familiar with by this point, he brought the food back home. Without even taking a moment to stop in and say hi to anybody, which would normally piss Saeko off, but he ignored the possibility of even going nearby where she would see him. Either way, though, he rode his skateboard through the halls as quickly and quietly as possible. He made his way to the kitchen, and hopped off, leaving the board outside.
Hiro opened up his inventory and started to take things out, when he noticed that there was still a good number of food items already in there. But, it was a good idea to be getting a large sum of food for now, as they will be putting up for the new members that had joined up lately. Four new members, almost all at once. This was kind of a big deal. As he was putting items away in the tallest cabinet, he thought about how they had just so suddenly joined up. He put up the notice for the guild recruiting, and almost instantaneously he got a note from someone named Magma, who has since begun living in Buckingham Palace. The next four were Adventurers who had a dream of making their own guild. Kneeling down to place things into the lower cabinet, Hiro thought about his offer to them. Allow them into Apocrypha to let them get used to things as if they were in a guild, and get the bonus experience. A kind enough gesture, sure, but he didn't think of it like that. He was just helping them out, letting them feel what it's like, and achieve their goal. He knew they wouldn't stay forever, but it didn't matter to him.
DING!
"WHOA!"
THUNK! Hiro put a hand to be back of his head, rubbing it gently. "Oww..." He groaned, taking his head slowly out from the lower cabinet. Having heard the ding noise from his interface somewhere startled him, and caused him to knock his head into the top of the lower cabinet. Good thing he was finished putting away the groceries, though. A mildly angry look on his face soon turned into a hasty one, as he looked and saw that he was now in a party with someone, named Charuen, a cleric. Finding it ironic for a moment that he would get paired up with a cleric like he had thought beforehand, and cursing the game mechanic of putting people in parties when they don't suspect it, he ran to the entrance of the kitchen. Hiro jumped on the board, almost missing it entirely due to being somewhat disoriented from the hit to his head, he started to skateboard away. However, unluckily for him, he caught a glimpse of Saeko down one of the halls as he rode past, and immediately kicked the ground as hard as he could. He heard shouting from behind him, as the swordswoman started to chase after him. He rocketed through the passageways as fast as he could, having lost her somewhere inside. Hiro hopped off the board for a moment, ran with all his lower body strength, and opened the front door. The board rolled up next to him just a few moments later, and he picked it up, jumping back onto it immediately, and rolled out of the Palace grounds.
After having just left the gate of Buckingham, Hiro turned the direction from which he had come from. Luckily enough, he had a good sense of direction, thanks to trials back in the old world. Remembering the streets as best he could, weaving through people as he moved as fast as he could. He did need to slow down at some points to make sure he didn't hit anybody on the way there, but that didn't add too much to his time of getting back to the bulletin board. Having traveled a good distance by now, getting much closer to the objective point, he noticed that there were less people on the streets now. He took a second to look up in his interface for just a moment, and noticed that he had been auto-decreased down to 10. Feeling that this was a bit of an outrage, as he didn't settle the level for himself, he glared at the upper right of his interface. While he was more than capable of setting it himself, as well as putting it to that level in particular, he couldn't help but feel a bit angry about that. But, sadly enough, his anger deterred his attention from the thing that was right in front of him. A banana that had fallen off its owner's cart.
Without even noticing the banana, he felt the skateboard go over something, squish it, then start to swerve uncontrollably. Trying to correct the mistake, Hiro shifted his weight from side to side. Ultimately, though, it wasn't enough, and the board soon swerved sharply, sending him forward. He didn't have enough time to control his fall, let alone even land properly. The momentum took over, and he performed a somersault unwillingly, and started to tumble on the ground a few good feet, landing perfectly on his face at the end of it all. Man, today wasn't his day. Hiro started to get up, rubbing his face, when he looked to the side and noticed a pink-haired woman, whose name up above read "Charuen." Stopping entirely, with a small fit of shock, Hiro looked at her for just a moment. Soon enough, he felt a bit of warmth in his cheeks, and his face grew visibly red. He felt like laying back down and pretending to be dead after such an embarrassing spill, but knew that that wouldn't solve anything. He stood up anyways, rubbing his face again, and picked up his board.
Opening his interface after picking up his skateboard, he put it back into his inventory with the comment: Clean Wheels. Afterwards, he walked over towards the girl, and averted his eyes from making eye contact. His face was still pretty red after the whole scenario, feeling incredibly stupid for such a thing to happen. Sure, he hadn't taken even a bit of damage from it, but it certainly hit his pride a bit strong. "Uhh..." Hiro began, unsure if he even wanted to continue this quest or not. He had half a mind to leave the party and walk away in shame. But, even he knew that that wouldn't do anything for him, or the girl here. So, instead, he sucked up his pride, and tried to give her a smile. Seemed to be working for now, so he went with it. "H-Hi. I'm Hiro, and I signed up for the Mentor and Student group quest." He opened his interface quickly once again, looking for newest received quests. Looks like the game knew what he was and how he worked, so the quest was, inevitably, kill 10 Dull Green Slimes. Reading this to himself for a minute, he closed it once again, and continued. "So... We gotta go kill a bunch of Dull Green Slimes, yeah? W-Well, whenever you're ready to go, let's get going!" He couldn't keep up the act for long, and he started to feel anxious about the quest with this girl. But, he'd grit his teeth and go along. After all, this girl probably signed up for this thread for the specific reason of getting into a quest where she could gain combat experience. He'd be a jerk if he just up and left right now. Hiro ultimately decided to stay, and take his lumps.

WE'LL CROSS THROUGH ALL THESE NIGHTS WE'LL CROSS THROUGH ALL THESE NIGHTS Charuen stood by the poster in her usual poise as she awaited the arrival of her mentor. Adventurers and People of the Land occasionally passed by the cleric, but without paying her much attention. Although the street was rather sparsely populated, to pass the time the adventurer decided to do some people-watching. People fascinated the pinkette to no end - the way they interacted with each other, and the variety of methods they employed to share their thoughts, ideas, and feelings, was of much interest to Charuen. In Elder Tale, this fascination of her only intensified. It reaffirmed her of how versatile humans could be, and their ability to take up any challenge in a stride. The young woman wondered how much longer they would be trapped in the world of Elder Tale. She missed her family and friends terribly, but she knew that like the rest of the adventurers in the game, she needed to live her life to the fullest in her new home.
A loud ruckus brought Charuen back from her thoughts, and she looked around, trying to find the source of the noise. The pinkette watched with both surprise and worry as a brown haired young man swerved among the (thankfully) relatively empty street on his skateboard. This eventually lead to the adventurer (She was next to positive that People of the Land did not use skateboards.) falling off his mode of transportation, and performing a rather epic somersault. A gasp escaped from the young woman's lips, as she readied herself to rush over and help the young man up. However, she soon realized that she did not need to do so, for he ended up rolling (face first) in front of her feet.
"Oh my! Are you okay?!"
Before she could hear his reply, the young man raised his head and Charuen was met with a pair of startling green eyes. The pinkette looked at him with worry at first, but relaxed as he picked himself up from the ground without her help. She caught note of the pink on his cheeks, and a smile couldn't help but tug at her lips. It was quite obvious to her that he was flustered by what had just occurred. She watched with mild amusement as he put away his skateboard. Then, to her surprise, the young man introduced himself as Hiro, her mentor for the day. Charuen blinked at the unexpected turn of events, and glanced at the top of adventurer's head, where his player information was displayed. Indeed, his name was Hirosame, the mentor that she had been paired up with. For a split second, Charuen couldn't help but wonder if he was qualified to teach her, for his recent stumble left some room for doubt. That being said, although the pink haired beauty was often quick to put a label people, she treated everyone she met with equal respect.
Charuen smiled politely and extended her hand for Hiro to shake. "It's a pleasure to meet you Hiro," she began. "I'm Charuen. Thank you for willing to spend your day helping out a new player!"
Hiro then went on to explain the details of their quest, to which the cleric nodded in understanding. She too, had read the quest outline as soon as it had appeared on her interface. 10 Dull Green Slimes seemed easy enough -- she remembered doing a similar quest when she first started out all those years ago. With the help of Hiro, she was sure that they would be able to complete the quest in a timely manner.
"Yes, I'm ready!"
======================== The journey to the entrance of Londonium was a short one, for they had been quite close to it initially. As they reached the gate, Charuen turned towards Hiro. An expression of curiosity was painted on her face, and she tilted her head slightly. "Say Hiro, what level were you before the adjustment?"

Despite having seen his awful display of an entrance, Hiro figured that this Charuen girl was a bit nicer than most others. At least, as far as he could tell. For all he knew, the was silently judging him about the incident just a few moments beforehand. With that in mind, he cursed in his mind at the fact that his level had been brought down so sharply. If he only set it himself, then that wouldn't have had been a problem for him. He sighed, and looked back at Charuen for a few moments, as she greeted herself after he had done so. She had a nice personality about her, and an aura that felt quite presentable and friendly. Hiro didn't think this girl would be so bad a partner after all, in all honesty. However, as he'd been here for such a long time now, and had seen what the world has to offer, he grew to be at least somewhat cynical about things. The fact that she went so far as to say 'helping out a new player' gave him the indication that she probably was out of the picture for a while, not knowing about the world as it constantly grew around them.
The quest that they'd be on today was a fairly simple one, for sure, but he didn't need to reiterate the fact. It was obvious enough to him that they'd be able to clear this, even if his level was brought down as much as it was. Which brought him to a rather serious question: Was he going to let this girl know his true level? It didn't seem necessary to mention it, but it might help things out for her, if she ever needs a high-leveled player to go along with in some cases. Then again, maybe she had already made a few friends or two among the upper echelon of levels? Someone like Caerbannog or Kumori probably. They'd be the most likely candidates for such a thing. However, it's also possible that this girl doesn't know anybody like that by this point. Hiro had no idea, and didn't really intend to ask her something like that out of the blue, especially on the first meeting. If things go over well enough today, though, he'd have no problem adding her to his friend list and asking another time. Saeko would be pissed off like hell, but he didn't care about that. She gets pissed at Hiro for everything he does, so what's one more thing?
As the pink-haired cleric announced that she was ready to go, Hiro and Charuen began to walk towards the gate leaving the town. On the way there, though, Charuen asked him a question about his level. He choked for a moment, before thinking about it. On the outside, he seemed as normal as can be, walking as he normally did. In his mind, he had to think of a few things before answering. With his mind straight, he spoke. "Nothing too impressive, honestly." He began. "There's plenty stronger than I am, so it's honestly not anything worth bragging about." He was being honest, though, about that last statement. Having been the level he was before, there was at least 4 other people he knew that were a higher level than he was. Then again, he had a good pile of quests that he had yet to turn in for completion, as that would boost his level a good deal. But, that's beside the point for now. For now, though, he'd help this player get up to a level that she would much rather be at. If push comes to shove, he'd help raise her level up a good enough number that she could run dungeons and boss fights often, and not have to worry about keeping up.
As they left the town, it was up a hill and across a field before they'd reach the place where they needed to fight the monsters. Hiro proceeded up the hill, as a warm breeze from the ocean started to carry up towards them. Hiro stopped, and faced the wind. It was warming up particularly nice today, as it hadn't been too warm recently. He closed his eyes, and took in a deep breath of the warm ocean air. As the wind slowly died down, he opened his eyes back up, only to realize he had been standing there for a few moments without moving at all. While he wasn't ashamed of it, he still had a smile on his face. It was a nice smell, for sure. He walked a few steps ahead, and turned to Charuen. "Shall we continue?" He asked, that same, warm smile with him. He probably hadn't smiled much near this girl yet, so this may be the first she's seen it. If it impacted her or not, he didn't really care. He was just pretty happy that the weather was starting to cooperate finally. On the way, though, he figured he might as well ask a question or two himself. Just to keep conversation rolling. "So, you haven't tried to go out and look for a party before?" He asked, perplexed. "Or did this mentor/student opportunity just show up to you and you took it?" A Cleric was in high demand for most parties nowadays, due to the lack of clerics around. If she gets up high enough, she could potentially become one of the most sought-after people in this game. He looked at her with question in his face, awaiting reply.

WE'LL CROSS THROUGH ALL THESE NIGHTS WE'LL CROSS THROUGH ALL THESE NIGHTS
Upon hearing Hiro's answer to her question, the cleric raised an eyebrow, and a teasing smile tugged at the corner of her lips. Her first impression of the redhead may not have been ideal, but she found herself taking an immediate liking to the more experienced player. Charuen could tell from the way he had replied to her question that he was only being modest -- a trait that she respected deeply. Her curiosity over his actual level grew, but sensing that it was something the monk did not want to elaborate upon, she did not press him for further details. Instead she gave a nod of her head in understanding, and continued to walk towards the entrance of the city. "Yes," she said in agreement. "There are a lot of strong players in the game at the moment, despite the fact that it is a relatively new server. It's quite admirable how quickly everyone responded the Catastrophe and regained their strength." The pink haired adventurer smiled at her companion as they made their way out of Londonium's gates.
After walking a short distance away from town, Charuen found herself climbing a grassy hill with her mentor. A gentle wind picked up, and the warmth from the ocean sent a tingle through the cleric's body in delight. Brushing back a strand of velvety hair, she then proceeded to wonder about what nature had to offer in the world of Elder Tale. Perhaps she could take a walk by the beaches tonight! Back in the real world, the adventurer spent her summers in Wales, and most nights included long walks on their famous beaches to admire the stars that twinkled in the sky. Although she was very far from Wales, Londinium lacked the light pollution of London in the real world. Perhaps she could do some stargazing here.
Her thoughts were interrupted when Hiro spoke up, asking if she was ready to continue. The pinkette was momentarily caught of guard, and was even more surprised when she noticed the smile on his face. It was not that she had thought him incapable of smiling, rather, she had not been expecting him to do so at that moment. Then again, she supposed that beauty of the world in which they were trapped in was something worth smiling about. Charuen returned Hiro's smile with her own, and silently noted how friendly he seemed compared to when they had first exchanged words on that street in Londium. After giving him a firm nod to indicate she was ready to move on, she continued to follow her mentor.
The monk's questions were unexpected, but she did not allow the surprise to show on her face. Instead, Charuen tapped her chin lightly, trying to arrange her thoughts so that she could explain the predicament that she found herself in. "I'm afraid I have yet to venture out and look for a party." She said in reply to his question. "I've been... missing in action, so to speak. A rather nasty flu kept me bedridden, and it was only recently that they found a cure for whatever I had caught." An embarrassed laugh escaped Charuen's lips as they continued walking. "I was on my way to do some training when I stumbled upon the poster. Since I'm not very familiar with the interface, I decided to take a leap of faith and sign up for the program." The cleric paused and tilted her head at Hiro. "I really appreciate you taking the time to mentor me. Might I ask why you decided to sign up as a mentor?"
They soon arrived at a clearing on the outskirts of the city. Charuen quickly took note of the dull green slimes that wandered aimlessly in groups of three, and then turned to Hiro. "I'm ready when you are." She said, and adjusted her grip on her staff. She had only fought monsters once or twice since the Catastrophe, thus the fact that she was fighting alongside an experienced player was very reassuring.

This girl is... confusing, to say the least. Not in a bad way, though, as far as he can tell. Out of commission, due to a flu of some sort. While he'd never heard of such a thing happening before, he was open to the possibility of such a thing occurring. Then again, it could have been a multitude of things. Perhaps the thought of not being around her family much anymore caused her to go into a sickly state, and made her think she was influenced by some sickness of some kind. But, it could also have been, literally, some bug in the system that caused her to get sick, and out of the game, so to speak, for a while. Maybe it was one, maybe it was both. There was no real way to tell, though. However, the only thing that came out of this was the fact that Hiro had begun to think about his family, namely his older sister. He wondered how she was doing, and if she even really cared about the fact that he's stuck in this game. She probably did, since it's been a while since the game started, and forced them into this nightmare. The thought, however, still made him worry.
The worry went away as Charuen began to explain that she was about to go off and do some training, and that's when the words from before had hit him about the girl not looking for a party much before. Which, again, he thought was a bit weird, since Clerics are very highly sought after. There was only two or three high-leveled Clerics in this server, one of which being a friend of his, and they were always being invited to the large raids and boss fights. Then she began to explain how she eventually came to the conclusion to take up this mentor/student quest, which actually made a fair deal of sense. Sure, it would mean being paired up with someone who you've never met before, but it certainly gets things moving for you, should you want to get up in levels more quickly. He nodded his head in agreement with her sentiment, and that's about when she asked him about his reason for joining up on this quest. The reason for this was actually fairly simple, and somewhat stupid. He didn't need to think about it much, so he turned to face her with confidence in his answer.
"To be perfectly frank, I was bored and looking for something to do." Hiro turned his head back forward, looking to the road. "I was trying to get away from the Pala... I mean, from where I was staying, because a friend of mine has been a bit needy as of late. It's a good move to get up and active sometimes, even if you have no goal in mind." Hiro stretched his arms up into the air, and placed them behind his head as he continued walking and talking. "I was riding around on my skateboard, as you saw, and found the quest board there. I figured I might as well use my time to help somebody else who might need a hand with things, and lo and behold, here we are now." He put his arms back down to his side as he finished, his expression rather happy. Sure it was a good deed and all, but it got him up and out to something he might later enjoy. He took a little look over at Charuen for a moment, as he thought this. She was a nice enough person, rather timid and reserved. To top it off, she was kind of cute as well. Nothing to really complain about in any way, the way he saw it. This wasn't such a bad move after all.
A few minutes later, they came up to the field where they were to fight the first of the slime groups. After Charuen gave her mote of preparedness, Hiro smirked, and opened up his interface. "Alright then. Let's get started, shall we?" He started to navigate through the interface, but continued. "Hope you don't mind if I try something new out while we're here, do you?" Without waiting for an answer, an icon for some new weapons appeared before him, and he pressed the accept button. Holding his hands out to the sides a bit, a white flash appeared in his palm, and two large contraptions formed in his hands. Gripping them tightly, Hiro struck his battle pose. His newest inventions: The Twin Hand Cannons, Yin and Yang. These magnum-like guns held 6 rounds in their chambers, and came with an auto-loading mechanism that Hiro himself invented and added into the system. He nodded to Charuen, before dashing into the field. Hiro held the guns up, making a bee-line for the center of the field. When he got close enough, he sprung up high into the air, and came crashing back down, with a blue aura surrounding his right leg as he fell.
Aura Kick was used to attract the nearby mobs, to which he smirked. Their attack animation was so simple to dodge, even though his level had been decreased. The good thing about being a Mechanic with your own weapons was that you could use them, regardless of level restrictions. The monsters began to spring to life, heading directly for him, but Hiro only brandished the guns. He began to fire them at the monsters, hitting them in their small bodies fairly easily. Due to the immense kick-back from the guns, he could only fire at them once or twice with each hand, and due to not having an affinity with guns, his accuracy wasn't too stellar. This was beside the point, however, since his legs were still considered part of his weaponry. The slimes got close enough to start attacking him, but his speed and agility far outclassed their own, so he was easily able to dodge their advances, while countering with his own. Eventually, though, he decided that the guns weren't working like he had hoped, and decided to swap back to his main class as a fighting style. Perhaps he'd work more on the guns at a later time. For now, though, it was back to basics. He hoped that Charuen was able to keep up with things, and possibly get a few attacks in, while he mustered up all the aggro he could from these monsters. He'd play the role of tank this time, if she wanted to do some damage. Hiro let out a ferocious Rafting Taunt to the monsters every so often, to keep them focused. Things like "It's no use!" and "You're too slow!" just to tick them off. This was gonna be fun, he thought.

"KNOW THAT I'M ALREADY HOME" Charuen listened closely as Hirosame answered her question. If she had had any doubts about the monk's capabilities before, she most certainly did not now. After all, he was kind enough to spend his free time helping players, when he could be off doing more exciting things, such as fighting in dungeons, or perhaps crafting! Perhaps she was romanticizing the whole idea of a high levelled player, (She assumed he was a high leveled player, but she was not sure since he had been hesitant to tell.) nonetheless she was grateful that he was willing to help out such a low levelled player like herself. She then pondered on the "needy friend" that he had mentioned earlier. Was he talking about a special someone? She wondered, knowing quite well how females could sometimes be clingy. That being said, the idea of falling in love through a game sounded rather silly to her. Of course, it was difficult to say if they were still playing a game. Everything around her felt so real, and she even got sick! It seemed that most, if not all the players, had adjusted to their new life though. The idea of starting a separate life in a separate world... Charuen frowned ever so slightly. It was something she would have to ponder more about when she had the time to do so. Nonetheless, the cleric did not question her entor any further -- after all, they had only just met. It was none of her business anyway. The pink haired adventurer nodded as she was asked if they should get started. Hiro then mentioned something about trying something new. Char tilted her head, slightly confused, yet also curious about what he was saying. However, before she could ask him about it, a white glow appeared around the veteran player's hands. A smile graced the cleric's features as the light died down, and Hiro struck a pose with his newly summoned weapons. Her eyes fell upon the guns in his hand, and widened in surprise. Firearms were definitely a rare sight in the World of Elder Tale. Curious as to what they can do, the healer watched as the monk ran off and sprang into the air before delivering a strong kick to the ground in order to attract nearby monsters. She watched in awe as Hiro ran around the field, shooting rounds at the slimes with fair accuracy, thus leaving a trail of pixels behind him as the the HP of the monsters reached 0. 1...2...3...4...Charuen had yet to start fighting, and they were already almost halfway to their goal. Not wanting to seem like she was being carried on the quest, and wanting to show her own self-worth as well as to get some practice, the healer raised her staff and rushed towards the nearest slime. Thanks to Hiro and his role as tank, the slimes did not swarm her as she smacked her long wooden stick at one of their brethren. Due to her low level, it touch a good couple of whacks, as well as many close dodges, before the one slime finally dissolved into a bunch of pixels. The cleric smiled at her work, clearly pleased that she managed to contribute at least one slime to their quest. "Meep!"While she had been celebrating her small victory, a stray slime had wandered over and knocked her over while she wasn't paying attention. Charuen winced as she felt herself collide with the grassy ground beneath her, slightly scraping her knees. However, there was no time to lament. Giving her HP bar a quick glance, she noticed that the slime had managed to knock out only a small portion of her HP. In a few swift movements, the cleric was up on her two feet again. She raised her staff once more, ready to whack the squishy monster into oblivion. HP94% | MP100% WORDS 647 | ATTIRE starter staff&starter platemail NOTES |

I'm so sorry for this.
Hiro was going to be dodging. Dodging, dipping, ducking, diving, and dodging. Like it was a game of dodgeball or something. So, as such, Hiro's writer had no idea what or how to respond in a full length to such a thing, since he was basically just being a wall for Charuen to hide behind, or at least, try to. Wasn't working out as he had planned. Though, he couldn't really turn right around and have some kind of heroic moment where he saves the damsel in distress. So, instead, let's have some fun, shall we? Well, what should be the first thing we talk about? I know! Probably the fact that the damsel in dis dress is a healer and can likely heal her own boo boos all on her own. All Hiro was doing here is keeping their attention so that she can go ahead and give them all a nice little whack over the head with her over-sized walking stick. And if that wasn't enough, he'd be weaving his way in and around the monsters throughout the entire post. No tl;dr's needed, since it's going to be straightforward and annoying. So sit back, relax, and listen to a very bored white guy ramble for a bit.
I'm tempted to make a vocaroo of this, in the exact voice that I'd be reading this in. It sounds very clear to me, but most definitely not to anybody reading this. So I may do that, if I am requested to do so. Actually, after having reread everything that I've written thus far, it sounds like it might be a bit of fun. Which would also make this a bit of a paradox since I'm reading this right now as well as recording it, probably. Still haven't made up my mind on it yet, but it should be kinda fun. Speaking of the last two letters of the word Paradox, this reminded me that I did something of the same sort for Ox and Saber not too long ago. Actually it was only a few days, but who the neep besides me is counting? Anyways, I heard that they'd enjoyed it enough to the point of not saying anything about it at all. It was so enjoyable that they only had their own laughter to fill the rooms with, and had no room whatsoever to shower me with the praises that I so rightfully deserve for giving such an immensely hilarious rant in such a short time. I'm also a dickbag who thinks that unicorns are real, Grape Ape is a soda, and Luna's a good moderator.
So if you seriously take anything I say seriously when I phrase it like that, you might end up being more of an idiot than I am. And I'm quite the idiot. But, I digress. Anyways, let's bash on Hiro some more. Not me, because I do enough of that. I'm talking more about the Gary Stu that I so happened to create when I was but a simple child at the age of 14. He first originated in a game called Mabinogi, and that's about all there is to it. Everybody, thank you for visiting the museum of Generic Regurgitated Entities And Tools, otherwise known as GREAT. Gift shop is off to your left, where you can get your very own script for classic Protagonist characters! Custom-ordered male or female characters! We do parties, too! After all, it didn't really take me long to think up his personality, since I basically based him off of what I'd do. Yeah, even that part about almost kissing Artemisia in the christmas party thread. That's the kind of thing where you have to kind of facepalm at the main characters in animes. When a girl's offering herself up in such a manner, you take the chance. ESPECIALLY because she's offering the chance. I can't be generic like that. As such, Hiro's display will soon be removed.
I'm getting way into this. I have to vocaroo it now. It's a thing that I have to do. But, I'll do it once I finish up this paragraph or something. After I get the word count, and once my dad goes to try and pick up my older brother, which should be in only a minute here. I'm actually kind of impressed that I can type all this within about 20 minutes, but that 20 minute mark has since passed. I think so, anyways. In any case, I hope everybody's enjoyed reading and listening to my stupid normal-ass voice for the duration of the vocaroo and post. Like I said, the gift shop is off to the side. Take a moment to look around and give me your money so I can fund future generic/non-generic characters. Oh, right, I should include a tl;dr even though I said I wasn't going to. Hiro has been dodging the entire time that I've been saying stuff, letting the monsters all dance around him as he danced around them. So not much to be expected here, and not much to be gained, probably. I dunno, I got a decent enough amount of words from this, which I'm about to find out once I finish up the next few sentences. I hope it's around 800 or something. If not, I'm gonna be a little disappointed, and possibly a little upset. But, we'll find out in just a second.
