While Nisha's mind had been in a dark lewd place Vixi steadied her heart as she ran the brush through Nisha's dark coat, with slow even breaths Vixi found it slowing down to near its normal levels but it still held higher than it usually did. Her face still held a rosy tone in her cheeks and she was sure that with any other comments that Nisha might make she might pass out, Vixi had never dealt with someone quite like Nisha before. Those that she talked too; rarly as that might be, where much more... fierce, the woman was direct, and joking in her mannerisms, after all she had spent half of the night just toying with her like a doll, picking at her emotions with every chance she seemed to be able to grasp onto. Vixi was not used to such personalities being... so close to her, it was taking much more out of her than she would have ever though. Spending days moving about the forests and running away from high level monsters was a walk through a park compared to dealing with Nisha, a cut hurt, and dying was nothing to her... but having to face Nisha's words head on was more than her little heart could take. After a few round being in the woman's company she was sure that she would need a heart transplant, if not two.
Vixi's eyes glanced at the fire at the thought of them parting ways once again, while she hated people in general, she couldn't help but feel that she was enjoying Nisha's company. It was an odd feeling, an idea that she was taking back by even thinking it... maybe it was because she was unlike the rest... a fresh look at a person who didn't treat her like crap.... A high pitched exhale came from her mouth with her uncertainly of what to do or think, such troubling times inside her head but she didn't want to lead on about any of it. If what was going on in her head wasn't bad enough the twisting gale in her stomach only seemed to worsen, maybe she had been wrong about being hungry, but what else could there really be to cause the feeling?
It was unfortunate for Vixi with her mind caught up in the nether that was her head she had stroked the right spot on Nisha's tail letting a low moan expelled from her mouth making Vixi's whole body shutter, from the tips of her toes all the way to the top of her head it was as though the sound had penetrated through her very soul. Heating up once again Vixi's eyes shied away from the backside of Nisha and fell to the sandy ground, her hair making a makeshift barrier to hide her quickly blushing face.
"Wha- what did I say...." She cooed with a whisper, as her finger traced small circles in the sandy surface trying to take her mind off of what had just happened though her rapidly beating heart just wouldn't allow for such a thing, every beat of her heart seemed to be pounding in her chest leaving her to relive the embarrassing moment over and over again.
While Nisha felt ultimately content to pay no attention to her moan Vixi on the other hand was still shaking from it, finding it much harder to continue with her brushing strokes, but unsheilding her face she slowly went back to work just above her last stroke, there was no need to have another repeat of what just happened. Going as far as to continue the story Vixi let out a sigh of relief, she wasn't must interested in talking about what just happened, rather just let Nisha resume her story from before, her epic tale of slaying spiders and cleaning. All in all it was a good distraction to keep her thoughts at bay, just letting the story sink in to wash her mind clean of previous ideas. It wasn't until Nisha was describing the size of the spider that Vixi had an issue with the story but as her hand was pulled she let out a high pitched yelp into the night, having to cover her mouth with her free hand.
At first her eyes where fixated on Nisha's hand but they slowly wandered towards the woman's face as their eyes almost met for a split second but Vixi quickly snapped her attention back towards the ground her face cheeks growing brighter by the second. A gasp of air was taking in by Vixi just as Nisha had turned away but her relief was short lived with Nisha leaning back into her causing her to shout out once more, having been caught off guard the surprise was even greater having no idea that she would do such a thing. At this point all thoughts about brushing Nisha's tail had gone out the window, now she was simply just trying to survive this woman's needs to further make Vixi blushing nervous wreck. It wasn't hard to tell that Nisha was taking some enjoyment on Vixi's behalf, it seemed like everything she did was just a way to turn her face red as a star and make her stutter as if she naked in a blizzard, at this point she felt as though a fire was no longer needed, her body heat had risen more than enough to let her sleep out in a field in the dead of winter, maybe even provide warmth for the wood land critters.
"...I... am... defenseless." She responded to Nisha's statement with a low voice, while it was true she had a few spells under her belt, very few did actual damage, and on top of that she hated fighting. Things went beyond that, she never fought back against anyone, always just letting people walk over her if need be and saying little more that a grunt... if there was one thing Vixi didn't have it was a backbone to support her. She did no fear monster, or death, if she died there was no real consequences for her in this world, start over and try again... she feared people though. People where sick creatures, intelligence was the greatest gift given to man kind, and also its most feared... her thoughts gave her no comfort but she was thankful that Nisha was trying to lift her spirits some. Most would just she the dirt covered girl and leave her alone, maybe even try and make a pass... Nisha hadn't.
Pulling on the edge of her sleeve Vixi could not long feel the dampness in her clothes, she wasn't sure just how long they had been dried with all that had been keeping her attention else where but they were good to go now, first time she had washed them in a while too, if one could call that a 'wash'. Feeling a yawn brewing in the back of her mouth she stretched her arms out letting out a high pitch sound, her pink tongue escaping her mouth for a quick moment.
"Hrrm... sleepy...." Vixi rubbed her eyes a few times till she fell over on her face into the sand, making a small poof as she did. She didn't care to much about her hair getting dirt again at this point, it would just end up as knotted and filthy the next day anyway, plus she was tired, and laziness was taking over where her energy had been. Really it was an escape from the conversation, she just wished to lay there till she passed out, not having speak any more of herself.

Ah, seems like Nisha had done a bit too much, even though she had not even really tried with the last part, it had just been something for a dramatic point, but apparently it had backfired a little. Or rather more than just a little, it had exploded on Nisha´s face and had sunk vixi whole. Ah, this was quite the predicament for sure. Suddenly Nisha felt something she had not felt in a long while while talking to someone else, regret. Nisha was not someone who dwelled on things but she also hated going too far since she barely knew when to stop herself and naturally seemed to cross boundaries that no one wanted her to. Or at least tried to not have her cross. Ah, it was just no good and Nisha said so too. "Ah, I did it again, did I not?" Exclaiming thus and ruffling through her finally dry hair, she stood up and looked into the fire for a second, wondering if she would burn brightly as vixi had after that escapade. But then again, leaving vixi alone here was something that would be even worse. Time for a drastic measure other than dying. With a jump and a splash she was deep in the water, fully submerged and felt that the water had cooled down even more so than before. Where it had been plain cold before now it was cold enough to make Nisha feel as if the air was pressed out her lungs and her body was turning to ice right there and then. With a sigh, she saw the last of her air leave her mouth as she made her way back up, breaking the water surface and gasping for air. Standing up in the shallow river that had barely contained her in her embryo curled up form. Sputtering water and dripping everywhere she stood up fully and shook herself, feeling more awake and yet more stupid than ever. Why the hell had she done this even? It had no meaning beyond torturing herself and maybe getting out of the awkward situation she would be usually in if she did not do something like this. This way she could start fresh, new mindset and new objectives. First, clothes. Since everything else would end in embarassment again, she opened her menu and put her clothes back into the inventory making them disappear from the sticks they had dried on. Then equipped them and with no weird undressing she was suddenly wearing her normal clothes again, no maid clothes as well. Retracing steps so to speak. Alright, feeling the dampness slowly soak through into her clothes again, she clicked on some more stuff and several blankets and pillows appeared, Nisha had learned to max out on that stuff since you will never know how much you may need. Seeing that all that was prepared, she felt somewhat ready for the biggest part of this. Vixi. Seeing that she had decided to take a nap in the dirt would not do, but Nisha would not touch her right now either, not until she had made clear about what she had said. Ah, it was a mess from here to london and Nisha felt herself slowly falling to her gloominess, after all the bubbly part of her was just something on top of her socially inadept personality to mask her own self. Kneeling down, she remembered that weird stance from all the anime she had watched and bowed her head until it reached the ground, her hands flat on the surface at each side of her head on the sand. "I am so sorry Vixi, I took it too far with all of this, I wanted to make you have fun too and did not take into consideration... Well, I did not take any thing into consideration, but I am not done. I am also sorry about you getting wet and that my story was weird and stupid and may not have been all that interesting. As for the defenseless part, I said too much and did too much for you to see it right now, but I hope that you will take this into consideration from this dripping and freezing person over here, but I think you are fine as you are, even if you were defenseless or as I think you are not. In the end it does not matter, what I did was much worse I took it too far so you had no fun anymore, which is the only thing I am always trying to do. Having fun and making others have fun too. To be honest, I would really like to be your friend, but I can not even ask you about it anymore since I am too uncertain and too insecure myself to even try and ask anymore. Please forgive me, or at least if you can´t, tell me what I can do so you can have fun again. I think that even though we are all caught in the game it is nothing bad, but that also means that we all need to work together to make the game as much fun as it can possibly be, I do not know why but from the moment I saw you sitting in the sand... I wanted to be your friend and have fun with you as much as I can. If all of that does not work, I will back off, but I really hope that you can somehow find a way so we can become friends or at least have fun together and enjoy this world even more than the real one and play around until we have to go back into that world." Nisha´s eyes were closed, she would only see the dark sand anyway and her hands and body was trembling, but not only from the cold. Vixi was not the only one who had a weird feeling in the pit of her stomach, Nisha too even though she had not wanted to acknowledge it or even consciously noted it. She was seeing herself in vixi, but she was also seeing someone who she could have fun with if she was allowed to, but maybe she had already blown all chances on that and this was her last straw to regain what she had maybe broken. And she would wait in this position until she heard from vixi or something happened. There was that feeling that was slowly and yet quickly bubbling up that what she had done was irreversible and it made her despair and her mind was mostly black as she thought so. If only she was less like this or maybe if she had tried something else and yet she also knew that if vixi were to say no to her or the concept of friendship, Nisha would inevitably forget about this and go on with her life. Another part of herself that she detested by a quite amount. Nisha was self loathing to quite an extent, but her being her always made her forget it only to let it bubble up like this in the darker hours of the day when she was alone with her thoughts and was not exhausted enough to fall asleep right away. Dreams being her escape in this dream world from the inevitable things. Her own mind, her own personality, her past and her future. All of that was a dark black bubble of tar that was ready to burst and spread to the happy ones in a flash just to regain it´s form after her sleep and be buried once more to grow again and make her feel like this. The only thing she never did even in those hours was cry or whail. Even if she was despairing, she was one thing not. A coward and tears and crying out aloud was something only cowards did to protect themself and make others hurt if they were despairing. Laying there in the cooling sands of the small beach Vixi gathered her thoughts on all of which had happened in the clearing, her mind was a fury of images of days past and of the moment. Vixi wasn't sure to make of what had happened, her stomach held a great tightness in it and her eyes wish for nothing more than shunting off from the world and resting till the sun died and the suns brunt to dull ember of what they once where. How many times since the sun set had she blushed, her face reddened that a tomato might think her a relative... but it wasn't just Nisha... she had triggered memories she blocked out... nothing but simple words had caused the chain reaction, a single tear, filled with pain and fear... it felt good to let it out but only pushed her further into the pit of despair that she had been forced into long ago. Vixi knew that she couldn't hold it against Nisha any, she was just...curious of who she was, trying to prod her for more information, something of wish Vixi never wished to speak of. Things... were often best left behind the locked doors inside her mind, their iron locks growing old and rusty as the ages past... sometimes they would come loose and what was hidden would become shown to her, but she never let others know... who did she really have to listen?
Rubbing her face in the grainy texture of sand she tired to smear the thoughts from her mind, knowing all too well that the rough materiel against her face was bad for her skin but she cared little... maybe it would give others all the reason to leave her alone if her face wore a scar... beauty was a destructive force. Though her efforts might have worked else where, she found it hard to focus with another in her company, Nisha aura alone was pulling her attention else where, mind scattered it was as though the clear imagines where shattered shards of a mirror, sleek silvers making her bleed with a mere touch, it was impossible to repair her reflection as she saw herself before. A groan escape her lips as they parted the sand before her face slightly, simple but sent a message of distress though she wasn't aware she had even bad a noise.
"Maybe...I should just go to sleep... forever?...." Vixi thought to herself.
Her attention caught up with everything that was going on in her head it was the voice of Nisha that pulled part of her mind back to what was going on around her. Rolling her head to the side she got a good view of Nisha as her hair fluttered about from the force of her hand, the gesture was one of frustration... maybe even anguish, Vixi was confused by Nisha's comment though, even more so by her actions, what exactly had she done? In a blur over movement that Vixi wasn't even sure that she fully saw Nisha was standing before her one second and then sinking into the surface of the water, before the water had sent rippling ways of ice down her spine but now it must be never freezing if not colder! Pushing herself up onto her elbows she watched eyes gaping wide at what had just unfolded before her, she knew that she must do something but sheer confusion froze her in place leaving it so that all she could do was watch as the last few trickles of air splashed to the surface.
"Is she crazy!" Her voice boomed inside her head making her whole body shake with its quake.
Breaking the surface of the water with a rather magical skeptical with moon making the droplets shimmer its in glow as they clung to her body Nisha made her way back onto the shore, her breath coming in deep waves, leaving a cloud of steam bellowing from her mouth. Still caught up in everything that had just happened Vixi lay they're propped up on her arms, her jaw hanging on its hinge as she watched Nisha hobble from the surface of the water soaking wet from the freezing waters. Vixi could think of thousand things to say to Nisha for what she had just done, 'one of the stupidest things she had ever seen','what the hell is wrong with you?' but her mouth couldn't seem to find any words, just a shocked expression on her face, puzzlement clouded her thoughts as Nisha quickly switched her clothes to the dry pair she had laid out before. Luckily for Vixi there had been nothing she would have considered lewd in the change, the set at she had greeted her with appeared on her body in seamless transaction.
Vixi felt a sudden awkwardness as she waited for one of them to say something though it appeared as though Nisha was busying else where in her mind, pulling out pillows and blankets with swift strides of her hands, little more than the crackling of the flames and the droplets of water on the ground to keep them company... it seemed as though the whole world had taking shock to what was going on, growing quite to see what would come of it. With a various assortment of bedding's laying around her Nisha took her gaze upon Vixi, taking a few small steps before she knelt down before the fox girl. Vixi mind was bewildered by everything that had just happened, her head zoomed around the clearing trying to see if she if their where others around watching them, as if this whole encounter had been little more than a prank on her... she almost hoped it was with the way her face was starting to flush but with no luck it was but the two of them. Swallowing hard with a lump forming in her throat she pushed herself a little higher up preparing herself for what was to come next, Nisha was going to speak...and what ever it was it seemed like there was a great importance to it... Vixi wasn't sure if she was going to faint from her heart hitting maximum over-drive in her chest first or after Nisha spoke. At this point all she could really do was stand her ground and hear Nisha out... but she wasn't sure she could take such big news like this, already she was feeling light headed.
Nisha spoke, and spoke, and spoke leaving Vixi more and more wide eyed with every passing sentence, she didn't think anyone had ever spoken this directly to her ever before and with volume... she wasn't sure what to make of it all. Vixi waited to tell her to stop, to interrupt but she did not, letting every thing that had been pooling inside Nisha out, she knew how it was to have such feeling built up inside her and not being able to let them out, just bottling them up until the tears came to her eyes. Once Nisha had done Vixi just stared into her shivering form taking in all of which she had said, there was so much of it and she wasn't even sure where to start with it all. Taking notice that her jaw was still gaped open she took a straightened herself up, making sure to breath slowly as to not left herself pass out she puddled her idea together.
"...I...have not had an easy time here... or there...." She stated as she pointed over her shoulder as if her past was hovering inches behind her.
"... hurt... I've been hurt...many times...." She stumbled through her words as the barrier she created began to crumble, already she could hear her own tears in her words, trying as hard as she could to hold them back.
"...but... you didn't know...so, I can't hold that against you...so there's no need to apologize for that... that's just who you are...." Swallowing hard once again she kept the building burning feeling in her throat at bay.
"As for being fun... I'm not that fun of a person... I wander and watch... I don't like people... though... even with you're over playfulness... you have treated me like a person, something which I have not experienced in a while...." Vixi paused to wipe her eyes hoping that Nisha would let her finish talking before she wished to say anything.
"...It's hard...for me to trust, anyone...but... you seem like... I could...." Vixi's voice began to crack with every passing word with tears coming down her face, oh how she must look like a fool, there was so much more she wished to say but her voice was failing her at this point. Vixi didn't wish to go back home like Nisha seemed to want to, her life, however gone to hell it might be, it was her new world, experience, she was no longer a human, she was a FoxTail and she was here to stay... but there seemed little point in say anything about it, there was no way to know of the future between them. Things could go wrong, she was boring, gloomy and hated to socialize... but... she wanted more from this world that she had now. There was a time where she was joyful, talkative and loved to go out with her friends but those times seemed like she was watching another person than herself.
Quivering with small sobs Vixi tried to control her breathing but it seemed to become harder with each passing second, she was sure that she might start to full full on cry any second... but she couldn't not in front of Nisha. Holding herself as strong as she could she whipped away the tears as they formed in her eyes as she looked over Nisha, careful not to meet her gaze directly.
"I'm not... the easiest person...to get along with... I try...but- but...." Vixi tried to explain but the words couldn't come to her mind, she wanted Nisha to know exactly what she was getting herself into, there was no point in lying to her and she didn't wish her to regret her choice later on.
"...If...if you'll have me... I'd sure like to try...one last time...." It was then that the knot in her stomach released its mighty grip letting a sigh from her mouth along with it. Had it been all the tension in her mind that had caused the feeling in the first place? Now that what had been said was out of the way Vixi felt much better than she had days prior... maybe there was still some hope left for her... she wasn't just sure how much she could take... but she was willing to try once more time... after that... she wasn't sure what would happen. If Nisha agreed to being a friend to a person that though herself boring and with many problems then she would have some work cut out for her... but this meeting could led to something beauty for the lost soul.
At this point her the sleeve of her arm was damp with the tears that had been soaking into it, it seemed that no matter she went tonight she would get covered in water at some point. Reaching out with her shaking hand she held it out towards Nisha, a symbol of agreement, trust and everything that went along with it. If for one reason or another the woman turned her away then Vixi would understand, she hated who she was...who she had become, there would be no hatred towards Nisha if she said no... after all Vixi wouldn't even want to be her own friend.
"...So...what- what do you say, Nisha?" Her voice was weak, like the last flickers of a dying candle cut off from air.

Ah, maybe she should have picked a position that was a bit more comfortable, the sand was grinding into her legs and they already felt sore and abused from running around and the two cold baths she had taken by now. But the again, her whole body was now bruised and battered by the current of the river and her jumping into it all of a sudden. Well, it was all so she felt sorry as well and would not forget to hold back a little in front of vixi. Ah, she loved the challenge already and weirdly enough was also willing to do that. Normally Nisha got bored of challenges pretty quick and giving up was always only one other thing away. But as she had said, the moment she had seen vixi, she had felt weirdly connected to her, which was obvious from how bubbly she had suddenly gotten and how much she wanted the attention all of a sudden. Thinking she might find a true friend in the cowering girl vixi had been and still she had gone too far only to now find herself here trying to see if vixi had any interest in even talking with her anymore. Nisha would definitely not fault her for saying no now. And even if Nisha was feeling like diggin deep and just sleep until the morning and forget, she definitely would try her best to get at least some response. But there it was, Nisha did not even have to wait all that long, suddenly vixi began to speak and tell Nisha of herself. This time it was on Nisha to be surprised and stunned to no small extent. Not only had she not given up on this but rather she actually asked Nisha to become her friend now and said that Nisha was the first in a long while to treat her like a human, it was quite a shock to her to hear it and she wondered what she should do about it. After all the coldness her impulsiveness had kind of cooled down and the only thing she was doing was indeed sit up and look at vixi. Disbelief in her eyes and furrowed brows due to her being mad at anyone and everything that might have treated vixi as she said she had been. This was just awful and something she had not expected at all and yet another reason to try even harder to become true friends with this girl. What got her to smile though was that now they had entered the banter of who was asking who to become friends with the other. It was quite the display and funny to think about. Nisha had been so nervous about this, so insecure about it, it had felt like she was about to explode but now vix had not only taken the awkwardness away but even turned it into something that could be called a happy moment, the begin of a friendship that would hopefully last for quite some time, maybe even beyond the game. After all, both of them had the same mindset about this. Two minds thinking alike, greatness or something, she could never get these things right, but it would have definitely been the right time to take notice of it. As for being hurt, Nisha knew that feeling all too well, she had been hurt too much in her childhood. Sure, nowadays it was the other way around, but that did not mean she was feeling any better, something like that never let you go and you could just try and bury it under happy things and some brooding about other stuff. But it was never gone and just hearing taht vixi would try one last time for Nisha, made her break a rule as she shed a tear, but then again, the moment was over when this would have been considered a cowardly action, now it was just sensible, at least she hoped it could be interpreted that way as she shed a tear from happiness about even being considered as the receiver of such an honor, knowing full well the gravity of such a thing and never considering even for a second of turning it down. That would have gone not only against her own rules but against her very being and what she had said and even if she was a liar at times and a deceiver at others she knew that she could do neither to vixi´s face and hoped that she would never have to. Maybe it would even end good, or bad, who knew, Nisha was never one to plan much ahead since there were too many things that could go wrong in between or change the course of action. But really, how should she even answer the things that she had now come to know about vixi, who had given away so much of herself and her own being while Nisha had barely scratched her own surface and mostly had spoken about how she was feeling about vixi and the game in general. But she did not feel like it was the right time or place or even occasion to talk about herself, right now it was more about getting this sorted out and that meant finding a good response to vixi´s heartfelt feelings and give some message in return. It was definitely a situation that could decide quite something and only who she was could be the correct answer, faking anything would just make all this be build upon lies and deception and that was definitely not something she wanted consciously or unconsciously. So, she just did what she would always do in this situation, she stood up. Okay, good first step right there and then, but what now. Nisha still had that weird and somewhat funny look of confusion and happiness on her face as she felt the water seeping through her dried clothes and slowly run down her clothes, but the fire or the cold or the wetness was not of much concern right now, the girl in front of her was and even though she was definitely not her mother or a guy, she felt like she should hug her and pet her and try her best to make her feel better. But she needed to keep herself in check for a little. At least until she said what she needed to say, felt like the natural thing for her to say and only the truth. "I will not make any promises. We both most likely know that promises are empty things and they are more often broken than not. So I will just say that I will try my best at any point of time." Nisha said with a shiver in her voice, once more not only from the cold but also from feeling quite emotionally attached to this situation already, the tear rolling down her cheek and burning a path down to her chin one sign of it that was outwardly. A little smile appeared on her lips that had been pressed together before and now were speaking again: "And yes, I might not have known, but that is no excuse and it was not only meant toward you, I tried not to go too far, always try but in the end I go too far and feel everything slipping away because of it. But I will try and hope that at some point you will feel well enough around me to tell me when I am going too far, maybe even argue about it and have fun none the less afterwards. I would like to have you as a friend even beyond the meaning in this game and would not mind to tell you anything you want to know. And now I am going to cry and hug you since I can´t really hold back either anymore." Another tear had appeared in her eye and another was being created in her other eye as she took a big stride over to vixi and hugged her. But not playfully but in all seriousness and friendship, holding her close like a newfound treasure, as if she never wanted to let go as the tears started to roll down her cheeks and create small puddles most likely on vixi, another thing she would have to make up for at some point. Small sobs escaping her own mouth as she hoped taht vixi would allow this one indisgression and maybe even find comfort as well in Nisha as she just let the feeling flow from her, knowing that she had found a friend. Just for now she would not hold back and just let her feelings explode. The only thing that Nisha already knew would happen and that would never change was that she would never treat vixi as someone lesser than herself or not as a human being. Nisha detested people who did that and if she ever found out who did that to vixi, she would not mind razing a few villages to the ground or pking someone so much they stayed wherver dead people were after dying in here. Sitting the sand together the usual comfort that was brought to Vixi's ear by the silence was now growing unbearable to her, with the tears still streaming down her face she wasn't very sure what Nisha would say to her, after all Vixi had not presented herself as a golden prize that anyone would want around but she wanted Nisha to know the truth. Being a friend to Vixi with how she was surely wouldn't be an easy task, and she didn't wish that burden on anyone if they weren't going to stand to the command of the job when she needed someone most. It was almost as though the whole thing was a job interview though she couldn't imagine that anyone would hire her after such a speech followed by her breaking down before Nisha. The whole thing was embarrassing, straining on her emotions with every words that had come from her. All Vixi could do at this point was hold herself up as much as possible, whatever it was that Nisha decided she would have to be ik with it, regardless if it was not what she wanted to hear. Nisha had offered the idea out there in the first place but it just so happened that Vixi asked the same thing of her... the situation seemed to become more complex with every passing seconds between the two, not knowing just how the other was fully feeling as words could only portray so much emotions, sometimes actions where needed to speak those feelings that could not be spoken.
Sliding her arm up the length of her other arms she clinched onto the material of her sleeve, it did little to comfort her any but it felt nice to feel as though she was holding onto something for support, if not at least alleviate some amount of stress which there seemed to be plenty of it going around in the clearing where they lay in wait for each other. Vixi couldn't believe that the steel door that was kept down in the depths of her body had open to anyone, the words she had kept held tight for ages in her heart could be released like massive flood gates, though it was a sliver of what she thought it was enough that she felt... alive once more. Nisha was someone she barley knew anything of... but... something about it felt right... she didn't know why but... she was special, something about her... maybe it was because she had gone for so long without anyone there at her side that her mind had forgotten what it was like. Many cold sleepiness nights had passed without anyone to speak to, alone with her drowning thoughts all she could do was think, continuing deeper and deeper into the black void that threatened to swallow her being whole... Nisha was the vale of light that had shinned into her view... was it safety to climb from her pit and into the light once more so quickly... would she crash hard and be brunt, scarred from others for the rest of her existence, eventually plunging herself towards the edge? Time would only tell just where all of this would lead her life, it was all possible that she would wind up back out here once more... a lost soul, nothing left of who she once was... she knew that if she didn't try, did existed herself out there one last time, let her heart breath in the sweet hints of life then it was already over for her.
Waiting for Nisha's response Vixi watched over her nervously, feeling as though the long pause would only lead to a terrible place but when she saw the tear that came down Nisha face she thought she had struck a bad cord on a guitar. What had she said to cause such a reaction... she thought back at what she had said, as embarrassing as it was to relive that moment over in her mind once more but nothing could come to mind... maybe she was sad... why though? Standing up from the ground as grains of sand and water droplets rained down from her body Nisha's gaze came upon Vixi as the FoxTail girl's eyes shot to the ground, waiting to hear what it was that Nisha was going to say, at this point she was ready for whatever it was that was on her mind though from the tears streaking down her face it was probably not what Vixi wanted to hear.
The news... was not what Vixi had expected... but her heart began to swell with what Nisha spoke, accepting her for what, who she was regardless of who damaged Vixi saw herself as, a reflection of a shattered mirror, nothing like who she once used to be. It was hard to tell if Nisha was nervous from the quiver in her voice, possibility be from the ice water she dived into not minutes before... or Vixi was seeing a new side to Nisha that she had not yet encountered... Vixi had not thought of Nisha to be one that got emotional often with the way she carried herself about, always laughing and playing joys, for Vixi to see this of her, Nisha's words where surely coming from her heart.
Vixi couldn't help herself as her eyes began to tear harder than they were before as Nisha spoke, try as she might to hold them back any longer the fatigue of the day mixed with the emotional burdens she was left to deal with finally caught up with her... though... there was a change this time, through her sobs a smile broke free of her lips, it small, but it was there.
"Thank you... Nisha.... You messed with me...and I forgive and forget... because that's what friends do, right?" Vixi managed to get out through her sobs, making talking even more difficult than it was usually for her.
"Wait...did she say hug?" The idea broke into her skull like a derailed train crashing into a building as she looked over to see Nisha's looming body coming down upon her, had Vixi felt the strength in her body to move or even say anything about it she might have, drained of all her strength though she simply sat there a let it come. Scooping Vixi into her arms like a stuffed toy she went with it as her body was pressed up against Nisha in a tight embrace, the dampness of her clothes started to seep into hers but Vixi cared little about it. Being held in her great embrace Vixi let her tears continue to roll down her cheeks though as she listened it appeared as though Nisha needed this just as much as Vixi did... if not worse, for someone as energetic and positive as Nisha was to be seen as she was now she must have had this pain pent up inside her for a long time. Pulling her limp hand from the sandy ground it raised up till it found a nice spot on Nisha's back, giving her a soft hug back, not something Vixi ever did for anyone, but it seemed that Nisha could use the comfort....
Sitting there on the beach the two of let their anguish and frustration out from their mind, each tear of Vixi's held a flash of her past, though not gone forever her mind would be clear for at least tonight, or what was left of it. She still wasn't sure if she was making the right choice here, if she was only doing it as one last ditch effort to save herself, or if she really wanted this... her heart hammered as though it did, but her mind was still not sure what to do now. For now though, Vixi had Nisha and Nisha had Vixi, and least for now the problems of tomorrow was something she could care little about.
Vixi wasn't sure just how long they held each other there in the coolness of the night but it was she herself started shivering that she opened her red eyes to see the campfire that Nisha had crafted was but a few flickering flames at this point. Sniffling heavily her eyes closed shut once more letting her head lean against Nisha's shoulder, her face matching the redness of her eyes by now.
"Feeling better?" Her voice was faint from exhaustion feeling as though she might pass out in Nisha's arms, even with how cold Nisha was. They needed to restart the fire and get Nisha warmed up otherwise she would surely get sick as they hours went by, had Vixi kept other clothes on her person she would have thought to change as well with how much her clothes had absorbed from Nisha water display but alas she did not. Patting Nisha back Vixi released herself from Nisha grip, taking a few seconds to rub her eyes trying to rid herself of any other tears and whip some of the sleep away. Standing up from the ground her legs felt weak as long as she had been sitting for but stretching them slowly the feeling came back to them quickly. Turning her back on Nisha, Vixi went about starting the fire up once again, while starting a fire from nothing was hard it was much easier to keep it going than trying to start a new one. Though she had little in the skills of camping just adding a few sticks to the fire made it burst back to life quickly as she held her cold hand towards the flames to warm herself up. So much had just happened, she had opened herself to another and had not been berated for it... small steps...but she was on the way.

Nisha was done, not only with all this stuff but with being awake, she was just so tired all of a sudden, her whole stress had suddenly dissipated into a little cloud and she felt as if she was going to fall asleep in vixi´s arms, but instead she kept awake, listened to vixi and smiled after she had cried a for a little. Sniffling about her feelings being put on display like that as well as everything ashing over her, it had drained her more psychologically than physical but it was still enough for her to feel tired and wanting to sleep. But first they would need to prepare some things. Nisha had already taken out blankets they could use if only to sleep on, even though Nisha definitely needed a blanket as a cover as well. The second bath had been that much colder that even she needed some more warmth than her tails or her natural body heat could give her. Sighing and wiping her eyes, she felt how vixi pulled away, feeling grateful that she had even allowed this to happen for this short amount of time. Not that Nisha would have minded if they had gone to sleep like that, vixi had been nice and warm, once more making her wonder if this was still a game, it was always a balance act on that even though the game part usually won out. But just for today she would accept it as some kind of reality if only to honor her newfound friendship. Seeing vixi do some other stuff, she yawned loudly and felt the wetness and coldness seep even deeper into her bones. Standing up slowly and shakily, shivering all over, she took a few uncertain steps away from the fire. A sudden ripple of motion went through Nisha as she shook herself. It started at the tip of her tails which slowly began to move and move from side to side, went to the end of them all slightly above her skirt, they had stopped fitting below it a long while ago, about at the time she had gotten her third tail and went over to her arms and legs, slowly moving in a wave like fashion as if she was a dog shaking itself. Spray of water flew off her and everywhere around her, but there was also another change. One that she had hoped would happen soon enough, she had hit a high enough level for it after all and so she felt that weird feeling once more as suddenly in the chaos of shaking tail another appeared and moved alongside the others. It felt as if... It was difficult to describe, maybe as if two finger had been stuck together with glue and you spray a little bit of warm water on them and suddenly they pop free. That kind of feeling, but even though she had felt it several times by now, she still gasped a little at it and fell to her knees, her legs having been instable before anyway and suddenly they were as weak as jelly. Stopping all motion, she knew she would have to see it for herself, turning around her new tail was easily to spot. Her eigth one. It was the only tail that looked fresh and soft and glimmered in the moonlight from having never seen any dirt on it before. Another limb for her to move she thought and wondered how many tails she would end up with. Ten? She had read of ten tailed foxes before but had thought it would be weird, since even two tailed cats seemed weird and were looking quite out of this world, but here she was, an eight tailed fox girl. Chuckling weakly, she said with a soft voice that sounded like a proud mother: "Vixi, look here, my eighth tail, as if to present our meeting. It looks just as fluffy as it should be." Saying as much, she felt another wave of sleepiness and knew that she had maybe a few more minutes to do something before falling over and not getting up today anymore. Nodding like a zombie if vixi said anything toward her, she stood up again, this time determination making her steps secure and stable. Striding over to the fire where vixi was already working on the fire. Nisha grabbed the bigger logs and put them around the burning part, vixi had gotten back to give off warmth, this way they would burn slowly through and spend light and warmth several hours. The smaller sticks were placed against them so that when the bigger logs burned through they would spend a boom of warmth in the morning and relit the ashes in the middle from what had burned before. If all went according to what she had learned from her father and their camping trips, they should wake up with quite some warmth in their bones. Also, if vixi was watching Nisha was careful enough for someone who watched to understand why she was doing it and after all in this world it was important to have at least some knowledge of how to survive on the outside. Not only to stay safe but also to not die in the cold or because you did not know how to get food or hunt. And with the new item she had gotten from the event back then she would not get hungry this close to a river anyway, the spear was safely tugged away in her inventory and was waiting to be used at any time. Fishes just loved getting on it and it was almost too easy. But all the normal things she had been taught by her father and mother, now that she was suddenly having this feeling oriented situation, she, for the first time since coming here, felt the slightest of longings for her home and her family, but it was quickly buried and forgotten under the constant reminder of needing sleep. And now that she was a bit dryer from shaking herself and felt like she was able to sleep at least somewhat comfortably. Winking with her eyelids which felt like lead by now, she wiped over her eyes again to get the last of the tears away she had still been shedding, renewed from the happiness of having a new tail added to the happiness of this situation. Standing up again, she made sure that her tails did not flop on the ground but it was getting more difficult. For a moment, she thought abotu putting their beds right next to another, but that would most likely kill vixi from sheer thought alone, so she pulled two bigger blankets apart and pulled them so that they were forming a half circle around the fire and faced each other, if only to see each other when waking up, that would be one thing she would like to put into her memory. Dividing up the other blankets, she had no pillows since puffed up blankets would serve just as well, she put some more on the place she had designated for vixi before crawling into her sleeping place, still shivering from the wetness, but she knew that with her tails now slowly placing themself over Nisha she would feel warmer in no time, with a blanket on top even this would become an oven and she would most likely give off more warmth than the fire soon enough... At least it would feel like it. Resting her head on a blanket, she looked over to vixi with sleep drunk eyes and nodded to the other 'bed' as if to invite her. Speaking drowsily she said: "No worries, I feel great, once I slept a little I will feel ready to take on the whole world, you will see, knight on a shining white steed and all." Mumbling now more than speaking, she added: "Sleep well, let´s hope that no riversnakes or something crawls up on us in the night, not that they ever do that when you have a fire going. Only bandits do that, bandits and weird stuff like ghosts and such." Clearly sleeprambling now, her eyes were already closed and her face was slowly taking on a blissfulness that only those ignorant to danger and those who had abandoned caution could have. Nisha was one of those since she never much cared about stuff when she was tired or awake and just took things in stride, if something were to appear, she would make short work of it and maybe even rescue vixi in the progress which would be a nice extra. But really, once they woke up, they could do a whole lot more of talking, they would need to follow the river back up to avon and depending on where vixi wanted to go either further to sarum or london, even though if Nisha had her down right, london would definitely be the safer and more secure place. And Nisha had a weird feeling that she should check in with her guild at some point of time. But first was sleeping and what vixi did not know and Nisha had never consciously felt was that she moved in her sleep when there was space. On a branch or something it was different since she had the constant reminder of falling, but on the ground, where everything was free... It would be no wonder if Nisha woke up somewhere else entirely, maybe just the slight distance to vixi´s bed place, maybe close enough to the river to fall into it again. Words: 1607 Tags: vixi

Nisha seemed barley cohernt as Vixi spoke, her eyes lids hanging low towards the ground almost as though any second she would pass out, though with traveling through the woods around them as she had and the...emtional moment they had just shared Vixi couldn't blame her any. Vixi was having troubles saying awake herself, having to put all her focus towards stroking the fire to keep from falling straight into the dying flames, roasted Vixi wasn't something that should be on anyone's menu. Holding back the urge to yawn Vixi yet her hand warm up by the fires flames, its aura of warmth seeping deep into her bones while her clothes were once again slick with water, she still wasn't sure why Nisha had jumped into the river like she had, but she decided not to wonder, Nisha seemed barley coherent as Vixi spoke, her eyes lids hanging low towards the ground almost as though any second she would pass out, though with traveling through the woods around them as she had and the...emotional moment they had just shared Vixi couldn't blame her any. Vixi was having troubles saying awake herself, having to put all her focus towards stroking the fire to keep from falling straight into the dying flames, roasted Vixi wasn't something that should be on anyone's menu. Holding back the urge to yawn Vixi yet her hand warm up by the fires flames, its aura of warmth seeping deep into her bones while her clothes were once again slick with water, she still wasn't sure why Nisha had jumped into the river like she had, but she decided not to wonder to much about it, she barely had the strength to keep her eyes open, less to ponder the questions of life that would never have a true answer.
The whole situation with Nisha had been a awkward one, even now she wished for nothing more than to sleep forever, letting her past stay where it was and not have to think anymore... but still.... Looking over her shoulder with her glassy eyes she watched Nisha as she sat there alone in the sand, the saddened, worn expression on her face, Vixi hadn't thought much about it but surely Nisha had woes of her own.... Vixi felt ashamed of herself at that moment, she often forgot that people had good inside them and past and woes in which they would like to forget about, just like her. It was often to think of others as actual people, such discord and hatred she had seen blocked her eyes from seeing anything good in people anymore. While she still felt strongly about that... she knew, that not everyone was the same... Nisha was one of those few, though finding such people was like walking through a mine field, never knowing which ones would explode on her with one gentle step she took. Trust... was hard for her... but she had taken the first step even though she still felt doubt in the back of her mind there was no going back now, she needed to try... she had to, otherwise why even bother anymore? She was tired... tired of it all; the cold nights, the string of days without a proper meal... the loneliness... she used to be a better person... happy... but now it seemed like she was just a shadow of who she once used to be, a blur to her own eyes, she no longer saw herself in her reflection, just a unknown pair of eyes looking back into hers.
Placing her hand on the temple of her head Vixi massaged slowly making the thought dissipate, there was no need for moral lessons, or life changing events tonight... she wanted to sleep... though... as though as she had something to wake up to for once she would wouldn't mind waking up for a change. The weather had gotten much cooler as the night had ticked by, the shadows growing deep all around them, leaving the two specks of light from the fire and moon to guide her vision. Really the weather wouldn't have been nearby bad if it wasn't for the fact that the front of her clothes where wet once more, but she did hold anything on Nisha for that... it was, an emotional time... for both of them.
Hearing the crunching of the sands from behind her Vixi turned about to face Nisha, with a rapid movement of her body water began to fling off of her like a wet dog drying its self off, though crude in method Vixi could see it was working with the spray of water going in every which direction. Even pointed away from her as the tail whipping was Vixi was still sprinkled across her face with a few droplets though it really didn't add much to just how wet her clothes were already, not even blocking the spray with her hand she just let it come. Finishing off her display Vixi nodded her head slowly back and forth as if to say ' and you thought me shaking my tail out was bad'. While shaking herself off though something changed in Nisha, it took a few seconds for Vixi to notice it as her ears flickered slightly but it when she fully took notice of it that she gasped gently.
"I...I can see that...." Vixi looked in awe at the new appendage coming out from her back side, with only her tail hanging beside her she didn't know just how new tails came to be.
"I just hope she doesn't make me brush it... I'm tired." Her internal voice wept silently inside her head, though it appeared both of them where to tired for just that.
As if the auto pilot was kicked on inside of Nisha brain she went about adding a few extra logs to the fire, with there extra mass the fire should burn through out the night and till morning time though Vixi planned on sleeping well past sunrise and Nisha was most likely thinking the same. Had Vixi the energy to she would have inspected just how Nisha was going about stroking the fire, what techniques she may have used but all she could do was slump over in the grainy sand and watch, though she could tell that Nisha was going slower on her behalf to watch and learn.
Moving around the camp to where the various amounts of blankets and pillows had been laid Nisha quickly constructed make shift beds, though nothing that would have been seen at a hotel it look rather cozy, especially with just how cold and wet Vixi was. She glad to hear that Nisha was... feeling great, though she wasn't sure what to make about her 'knight on a shining steed', already she could imagine Nisha riding a shimmering white stallion while she herself wore full plate mail into the sunset though such an idea was foolish, even making her chuckled a little on the inside though it was quick to stop.
Nodding at Nisha's words Vixi crawled over to the covers that would be her bed, a comforting sight for the length of the coolness of the night. Laying down upon the sheets her eyes gazed up upon the many stars that dotted the sky, back home she would never get such a sight living in the city. They were beautiful to behold, as if putting on a show just for her... both of them, though it looked as though Nisha was nearly out of it already, once her head had touched the pillow her words had grown weak and sloppy to Vixi's ears.
With the sheets pulled up to her chin she lay there for a while letting the crackling fire keep her company... and yet when with her sleep filled eyes she could not slip into slumber. Tossing and turning with a deep sigh her head turned on the pillow, her eyes falling upon Nisha in her sleeping form, all wrapped up in her layers of blankets and pillows like on giant pillow fortress. Lowering her eyes she thought for a moment, her hands shaking from the mere though of what she was about to do.
Pushing off the covers from her body slowly she dragged herself over to where Nisha lay, careful not to make to much sound encase she would wake her in the process. Pushing up the edge of the blanket Vixi slipped herself under and next to Nisha letting the covers fall back down upon her, already she could feel the heat that had been generated from Nisha, it dug in deep into her skin even making goosebumps run up and down her body. Vixi wasn't quite sure about this... but she was cold... and... lonely... she had made a connection with someone and didn't want to lose it... if things didn't work about between her and Nisha at least... she would have a fond moment to look back on.
"Just...for tonight...." She spoke but her words lied.

Maybe one day she would tell vixi about all the reasons that had driven her to take another bath, even though Nisha in her state barely recognized them herself, only knowing that without it she would not have been able to move on, to make the move she had made and who knew where that had ended. Definitely not somewhere better for them, after all, Nisha now felt closer to vixi already than she felt toward most other people in this game, her family included. But who really understood or felt all too close to their family in normal times anyway? Nisha nearly let out a sigh that would have been supposed to be a laugh about how they were this friendly with each other and yet did not have each other on their 'friend' lists yet, something she needed to keep in mind to change soon enough. After all, there were limits that she would like to overcome that the system restricted them by. Telepathy for example was only possible between friends no matter how close they were without being on the friends list it was just not possible. Also, how easy was it to accidentally lose one of those weird names some people used for themself out of ones mind? having them on a list was the only way to remember all of those. To make long story short, this story would definitely be told, at some other point and depending on how the mood was either with great length and epicness, maybe some tears or as dry as could be. One thing Nisha would most likely never understand though was the feeling of loneliness, even back when she had been bullied to tears and blood in kindergarten all her childhood, she always had a family even though she had never looked for support from them and after that a steady stream of people outside of her family, some of whom she even called friend to keep her company. Even in the nights in this game when she was all alone, she never felt the loneliness, just the memories of people she wanted to meet and the hope to see the people she knew again. And yet, she oftentimes wondered what it would be like to be alone and it made her feel sad, for once not comprehending and that at some point she might really be alone and feel it while being unaware that that was the feeling she did not want to know about even though she liked anything new normally that was one thing she would not mind to avoid. The one thing Nisha knew all too well were all the stages of tears, from the bitter despairing and burning tears to the cool tear of a cop who revenged his partner to the most happy of tears when something lifechanging happened and you were overflowing with it. Feeling as if you were about to burst and explode with it and just... you could just not hold back the tears anymore and just had to let them drop out of your eyes, liquid happiness, reminded her of an old book she had read as a child. Some wizard story. As for what vixi had said about her tail or not said, Nisha had not been able to understand or even notice it, just mechanically doing the things she had to do and getting them done so she could fall into the lull sound of sleep and enjoy herself closing her eyes for the last time of today... Or maybe sleep early, who knew how late it was, Nisha´s hud was off and there were no clocktowers nearby she could hear or see even with her enhanced hearing that was still on, toggled as always or at least usually. Nisha might not have tossed and turned but she could not find sleep either, too much had happened in too little time for her to just go to sleep and find solace and peace in it. Her mind was sluggish and yet fast enough for her tired body to be racing, her closed eyes helped since she could not see vixi and yet most if not all of her thoughts surrounded her. Seeing her like this would not let her sleep at all and yet... There was something weird a little while later. Nisha had always been told that she was good at acting, either being asleep or sick, playing a role or just acting like a stuck up queen in school to control the people around her. And maybe that was why vixi suddenly had decided to move, Nisha was pretty sure it was nothing else or she would have gathered the last bit of her strength and taken care of it with the auto skills, letting her body be dragged along with the system even if it meant a huge strain on her own body. But no, vixi was rustling with her sheets and covers and blankets and was walking the short distance over to Nisha. For just a mere second, she nearly forgot to breathe and felt as if her heart stopped as she felt her own blankets being lifted. She was so confused that her mouth flapped open and closed as if wanting to say something which got stuck in her throat. This time it was on Nisha to turn beet red, no not only beet red but a fiery passionate red as if she was about to explode. Nisha wanted to crawl into a hole or maybe take another cold ice bath right now, but she lay still, did not move as she felt the tiny figure of vixi press against her own figure. Her smell and presence nearly overwhelming Nisha who was really about to say something, scolding herself for that fraction of a second doubt. Too often had she seen someone who tried to kill her in her sleep to not be a bit paranoid about the sudden movement, but it had really only been the tiniest moment of a fraction of the smallest unit of time possible, a natural instinct if you will. And now she slowly calmed down, her heart before beating so loud that only controlled breathing lowered the sound to not be that of a c4 detonation each time it took a beat and pumped blood into her system. Now she was smiling again and were before her mind had been racing about vixi, now it was much easier, the closeness made it pretty clear what she had to think about and with her mind slowing down, she also felt her own body slow down and go into sleeping mode. Her eyelids really closing for the last time for now and entering the final world of rest. But her body which was battered and bruised from the day had yet other plans, still not done moving, not yet, her tails which had been wrapped around Nisha´s body slowly and carefully to not alert either Nisha or Vixi of their movement, moving as if they were not being controlled by Nisha´s subconsciousness... or rather exactly by it, and began to wrap them both together. Nisha leaning to vixi´s side and her armmoving like just a sleeping persons arm can. Slowly and sleepily and yet with a destination in mind that would give the greatest comfort. And having the other source of warmth even closer to Nisha´s body, basically pressing her own body into it and sharing the warmth of all her tails as well as body heat. Nisha did not know what was happening, but her dreams that night were even more fluffy than usual and she knew that she had something delicious in front of her and wanted to reach it, moving her own leg up a little to get even closer to whatever was there.
