apologies for the wait. 794 we must be K I L L E R S CHILDREN OF THE WILD ONES How long was it going to take for them to decide on a course of action? Probably as long as it took for the writer of this post to realize it was their turn. Unfortunately for the team however, they didn't have a week to sit idle and decide what to do. They had a matter of hours. Blue listened carefully as everyone exchanged information. Honestly if they were talking simplicity, it would be better to charge the gates and crush the opposition before the enemy had time to raise an alarm. However she doubted that they all had such capability among them at their levels and experience. Not to mention Blue had to account for Charlotte now. It would be troublesome if any harm were to come to her after they had just reunited. The stealth option would have to do.
"As it stands, we're not in a position to risk failure. If we fail, we stand to lose both our leaders and our reputation in one fell swoop." She stated grimly, holding tight her blade in anticipation for the events to come. She looked long at the crevices that the two leads pointed out and nodded with bleak understanding. "Please allow me and another to take care of the guards on the battlements. The remainder of the team may advance forward. If we are rendered incapacitated, freeing Hiro and Kumori will more than make up for our loss." That was a rather cold statement but it was true enough. Either way someone had to watch the team's backs as they entered the ruin. She didn't have time to sit and wait either. The bard looked to her companions with a telling look and moved out with but a gesture of her hand. The operation had begun.
The holes in the wall were simple enough to squeeze through for someone of Blue's form. She couldn't say the same for the others but who was she to comment on the flexibility of others? Indeed if these holes were put here, it was because the creators of Elder Tale had meant for them to be here. Blue poked her head out of the wall and peered around the enemy stronghold. Not much to say other than that it was empty. For a gang that managed to kidnap two powerful guild leaders, they were really under-manned. Blue was beginning to wonder if the only reason the two had gotten kidnapped was the sheer absurdity of the idea. All the same, a job needed doing. Blue crept along the stone wall, carefully stepping up to the battlements, making sure not a sound was made. Whoever followed behind her was hopefully doing the same as she. Otherwise they'd have a problem.
The two guards up in the battlements didn't look like much. Just your average Joe really. This only reinforced Blue's idea of how the guild leaders were captured. When she found Hiro, he wasn't going to see an end to the hazing, she would make sure of that. An almost villainous smile played on her features at the thought. Oh what a motivator. Moving on, Blue set herself right out of the guards line of sight. They were grouped together which made this all the more easier. If she dispatched them quick enough, they couldn't call for help, and nobody would hear them scream. "Blue blue glass moon..." Her song was like a heavenly siren's call as it echoed from her lips. It was loud enough to draw the attention of the guards, but not to alert anyone else. Blue stepped forward, startling the two guards as if they heard a ghost. "H-hoi, who are you? What are you..." Two seconds was all she needed. "Amidst the crimson air~" Two seconds to weave the necessary spell.
The guards hadn't noticed the crimson mist. How could they? To ignore the beauty stepping towards them out of nowhere was simply beyond them. Their brains only registered the curious tune and her striking appearance before they could realize what was happening. Scarlet Symphony was one of Blue's favorite skills for this very reason. Nobody suspected a Bard with AoE damage. One man only felt Blue's gloved hand stroke his cheek before crimson blades materialized from a bloody fog, dancing around the ephemeral bard like rouge attendants. They cut through the flesh of her targets and they had no time to scream as Lugh pierced through the throat of one and a well aimed boot to the teeth silenced the other before she finished him as well. Blue looked down at them curiously as they bled out on the floor. Her attention then turned to the rest of the party, signaling her side was clear. She hoped Charlotte didn't see that. WHERE WE GOT LEFT TO R U N ?

“Alright, then let’s do this!” Bailin whispered loud enough so only the people gathered close to him could hear, after Lavina gave the team her idea of sub parties. A few seconds later Lavina started handing out useful items, potions mostly to the gathered folk. Mumbling a ‘thanks’ Bailin stashed the gifts in his inventory and drew out his rapier. After a short spell in which both leaders said what they had in mind, Blue suggested she and another, Bailin, he assumed, following Lavina’s party division.
Acting on her words Blue crept onto the battlements, silent as a ghost. ‘Yep, that’s a pretty good idea.’ Thought Bailin as he followed her example and snuck up to the battlements. Blue had found some holes in it through which she, and he after her, could fit through. Bailin watched Blue proceed through the hole in the wall and waited for about ten seconds before he went after her, making sure they wouldn’t bump into each other in case Blue had to get back real fast. When Bailin went after Blue he could see a strange red mist of sorts and faintly heard Blue, well, singing. A few seconds later he saw Blue signalling the rest of the party to advance.
’All right, I’ll just stay close and let her tell me where to go, I have a hunch she has a pretty good idea what needs to be done.’ He thought to himself as he snuck up next to Blue and signalled by hand that she should and could tell him where to go and what to do. ‘Hehe, learn to obey before you command.’ Bailin thought grinning, waiting for Blue’s orders, trying to avoid the small puddles of blood forming where the corpses lay, slowly turning into anima bubbles.

LaviniaLevel 26: Enchanter Level 22: Pharmacist Level 11: Scholar Note: I was told to skip Nost do. :/ Lavinia waited for everyone to take their allotted potions and consumables before collecting what was left to keep for herself. She kind of wish she had more time to prepare, if she did Lavinia could have had a few new special surprised for the kidnappers. There was only one thing left to do before the group was ready from Lavinia's point of view, keen edge. Due to her own in experience with this skill due to just learning it, Lavinia had I use the skill through her hot bar. Lavinia was never fond of the hotbar method for fighting, it seemed lazy when with a little practice you could use your skills almost seamlessly. "Keen Edge" Lavinia whispered as the game took over and she raised her staff, the tip glowing a pure white signifying the casting of "Keen Edge". After it's rather long ten second cast time the tip of Lavinia's staff pulses, releasing the energy to find it's way to her allies weapons. Everyone nearby should now find that their weapons are a bit sharper, a great boon to someone like Blue who uses swords. "Alright, you two set?" Lavinia asks the werecat and the cleric. Lavinia still had one thing to do, find out what skills Char and Nost have, but to save time she decided to go the alternate route to asking. First the werecat, looking at him her eyes glow a pale white as she casts "Evaluate " on him and then the cleric. While Lavinia's preferred method of finding out someone's skills, some could find take issue with the invasion of privacy so she tries to stay clear of it, she hoped no one noticed.
Once Char and Nost were ready Lavinia followed the werecat through the hole. Lavinia had no trouble squeezing through the whole, she was glad her skirt was long or she could have had another embarrassing moment as she squeezed through. Lavinia lead the group to a set of stairs that lead to the presumed location of the enemy that they would need to eliminate. This was true, motioning to Char to stay here Lavinia creeps up the stairs and sees two adventures, one melee and one archer. Retreating back down Lavinia formulates a plan pretty quickly, putting her staff into her inventory, Lavinia draws a sword and equips it. "Alright, I have a plan. There are two guys up there, one melee and the other has a bow. So, we'll split them up so we don't get shot while dealing with the other. Can you lay down a bunch of miracle mines at the bottom of the stairs? When your ready I'll draw them down and we'll end them both. That alright with you?" she whispers to the group, her tone is grim but serious, after all Lavinia is planning on how to kill another adventure. Even if they're scum kidnappers, Lavinia didn't wish such a thing on anyone when she hasn't even come to terms with that it will probably happen to her as well some day.
Once everything is set, Lavinia gives a nod and creeps up the stairs once again. Sword drawn, Lavinia raises her empty right hand up and takes aim at the archer. Her open palm glows a neon pink as she activates "Astral Bind" and watches as the coils of chains wrap around the archer binding him in place for the next six seconds. "Oh shit!" Lavinia says loudly, loud enough for all five of them to hear, but this was the plan, to draw attention away from the bound adventure and to focus on her. Immediately after saying it Lavinia turns and bolts back down the stairs with a smirk, vaulting over most of the steps and spins around waiting for the first adventure to hopefully fall into their snare.
After the first is dead Lavinia waits a very short moment then cups her empty hand casting "Nightmare Sphere", once done Lavinia tosses the purple orb of mana near the top of the stairs and waits for the second enemy to rush to his friends aid. If this adventure is dumb enough to fall for it, this part of the trap should make him fall down the stairs. Because of Nightmare spheres effect of lowering gravity to that of the moon, one can not move as hastily or you'll actually jump into the air instead of run, this was the key point in this point of the strategy. When the archer actually started down the stairs he knew something wasn't right immediately but it was to late. His momentum was to much and the adventure began to tumble down the stairs. Perfect! Charging in Lavinia gives the turtle stated adventure a swift kick to the chest then swings her sword it's fire reforge scorching the throat of the adventure. Leaving a giant gash in his throat, the adventure will die soon enough. But just to make sure, Lavinia stands over the crippled adventure and holds her empty hand up once again. Her palm glows purple as Lavinia casts "Pulse Bullet" over and over until the adventures health read zero, her target his chest. Swinging the sword to fling the blood off Lavinia looks down at her own hand, twisting and turning it, examining it in aw and horror at the act she just committed and how easy it was. How without a second thought she killed another adventure, forcing the experience of death on him. Guilt, she felt like a failure, if Lavinia was any good at her job, these two adventures wouldn't have had to die. But now is not the time to dwell on such things, they have a task to complete. "Monk, search the bodies before they disappear see if you can find anything. I'm going to search upstairs for anything that may be helpful." Lavinia says sullenly as she heads up the stairs. The Enchantress didn't really know what she was going to find, but with the guilt and emotional stress of just killing another adventure hanging over her head she didn't mind being alone. Post by Charuen on Jan 13, 2015 7:52:47 GMT
"KNOW THAT I'M ALREADY HOME" Charuen felt a tingle through run across her body as Apocrypha's second in command drew a symbol in the air, only for an eye-looking insignia to appear on her collarbone. It was an odd sensation that left her feeling oddly exposed, and raised the hairs on the nape of her neck. The pinkette brushed her fingers against the insignia lightly, expecting to feel some sort of bump or texture to indicate the new addition. However, her slender digits felt only her own skin. As discerning as it was, Char could not help but find the powers of heretics to be fascinating. When Midori asked her for her name, she smiled and said, "My name is Charuen. It's an honour to be your eyes."The raven-haired magician then went on to explain that holes in the tower had been found, and would lead the rescuers up to the top of the towers. Coupled with the information that Oxford had given them earlier, the cleric was really starting to doubt the intelligence of the kidnappers, despite the fact that they had managed to hold two of the most influential people on the server for ransom. Nonetheless, it was eventually decided that a group would enter the towers first through the holes and take down the first wave of guards. Charuen could only watch with both nervousness and excitement as Blue announced that she would be one of the rescuers to enter first and take down the guards on the battlements. Bailin followed soon after, and the healer watched with her lips pursed into a thin line as the two adventurers disappeared through the opening. There was no time to loiter around though. Laviana's soft yet commanding voice formed a question that reminded Charuen that she had her own duty to perform. The pink hared adventurer nodded a her teammate. "Yes, I am ready." She said, as she watched Lavinia's eyes glow a bright white. Char blinked in confusion, wondering what skill the enchantress had just used. After all, people's eyes do not just begin glowing. That being said, she did not have much time to wonder about such things. They had guildmasters to save. Charuen followed Lavinia and Nostracus through the hole, and was silently glad that she was the last to climb through. Her skirt was rather short, and had there been someone climbing through before her... Well, they would have had an unexpected sight indeed. Once they made it through, Lav led them near a flight of stairs, and proceeded to provide them with a basic plan. Char was surprised that the red haired adventurer was aware of the fact that she had the Miracle Mine skill, but did not question how that knowledge came to be. Now was not the time for that. Instead, the half-alv nodded and raised her wooden staff. The tip gave a dull glow as she activated <Miracle Mine> and placed a series of glowing mines on the staircase in front of her. The healer watched in slight awe as Lavinia jumped up the stairs and binded the first kidnapper, who was an archer. What followed next was a series of graceful leaps and slashes from the enchantress as she made quick work out of the second adventurer, who had been more of a meele-style combatant. While Lavinia had been occupied with the second adventuer, Charuen and Nostracus made quick work of the binded kidnapper, although it was the werecat monk who did most of the work. She was vaguely aware that one of two of her mines had been activated by the enemy, but most of her attention was spent making sure that none of her allies' HP suffered significant blows, especially if they accidentally stepped on one of her mines. The trio eventually made waste of the two kidnappers. Char did not realize that she had been holding her breath during the last seconds of the battle on the staircase. It had not been a particularly tough battle, and they were perhaps one step closer to finding Hirosame and Kumori. As the anima particles of the fallen adventurers floated into the air, the cleric turned to look at Lavinia. A look of worry flashed across her face as she noticed the enchantress' somber and troubled expression. She reasoned that killing other players could not have been lighthearted experience. What was Lavinia feeling at the moment? Sadness for those who she killed? Or perhaps guilt? The pinkette followed her team member as she ascended the stairs, and upon catching up with the redhead, asked a very simple question. "Are you alright, Lavinia?" (OOC: COOIEE Dwarf makes his first move. I'm your midboss, so whoever's coming at me can do so in any order. I will aim to keep my replies short and snappy. ^__^ If it isn't what was wanted, I will take this post down on request. ^__^ Just wanted to have adventuring fun! Tobin is fixed to level 30, so while he's likely more powerful than any single member, he can still be seriously hurt or killed by any member of the party. I just wanted to give the party an interactive challange! Additional Tags: Hirosame, Midori, Blue, Lavinia, Charuen, Bailin, and whoever else still has a interest in this thread. Summery; The Dwarf will attack the first person to disturb in within the tower. The room I imagine is about 8 meters in diameter. The Dwarf has taken measures to hide his idenity, so I would prefer if he wasn't instantly IDed.) WC: 689 Though the rest of the bandits in the decrepit fort couldn't hear, the ambience of battle carried up the stairs to create a soft ambience of noise, the dwarf gave a slight barely audible rumble. Their arrival hadn't been unexpected, indeed the Dwarf unlike many of the unfortunate sods down the spiral staircase, had time to prepare. -hmph, I guess they still hav' some teeth left, i was expectin' them to monolog individually fa at least another hour. Better get ready.-A delicate motion the Dwarf removed his glasses, a finger and thumb folded the frame in on itself before he concealed it within a trouser pocket. He then withdrew a simple black mask, devoid of any feature aside from two hollow slits and a bandit logo etched across the entirety of it's surface. The beard meanwhile was tucked down the bandit vest he wore over his other attire and he drew the over cloak tightly around him, even his user name was changed from "Tobin Strider" to simply "Anonymous". The intention? To erase any marker of his identity, it was plain that the figure was a Dwarf, but not necessarily whether it was Tobin or just a level 30 lander fallen on hard times. Afterwards, Tobin kicked back and let his feet rest either side of the wooden stood to rest on the rungs under seat as he waited motionlessly. Only his breathing betrayed the shadow's pressence in the flickering yellow fire as though he was a bandit that had simply fallen asleep, huddled close to the fire in the embrace of winter. The deception was aided by a long spear that rested against the wall to make him seem like a lazy sentry. Yet his eye rested on the door and waited for the first sign of the invading adventurers and as the first figure stepped through the door, the bronze key at his waist twinkled alluringly to those with interest in such trinckets. Yet, when they drew within two meters of the Dwarf, two actions occurred in very rapid succession. The first was figure suddenly rolled back off his stool to the second with his feet directly at the face of the approaching person. Though this wasn't really much of an attack, the object was quite slow moving and too imprecise to be an effective weapon thus quite easy to block. It’s intended purpose however was to briefly break the line of sight on Dwarf, as he tumbled backward the Dwarf bounded off the wall and used that momentum to close the gap in a blur. So that as the stool was batted away, the bulk of his body tackled into the adventurer to drive the breath from their body before with a tight warp his arms around the adventurers trunk a –Suplex- was attempted, the reward was a loud thud of bone against stone. Then as he stood over the adventurer, a gauntlet would snap shut around that unfortunate sod’s throat as his body weight was forced down through the thick trunk of his left arm, the flow of air to that person’s lungs forcefully stemmed. At least, that was his intended route of action. Then, came the softly hissed threat. "Tell me where the money is and I won't be so rough on ya."The accent was very different to dwarf's usual accent, it carried a softer tone of an Irish accent yet was worded quite precisely. It lacked the bass of the Dwarf's usual accent that he put on, Kumori, @0x1dea and @dindeen had probably heard him speak in his native tongue enough to immediately figure out who it was. The new members though? Most of them hadn't even met the Dwarf, and none had heard him speak without. His sharp light blue eyes pierced through the slits mask as he stared the figure down, considering his hand was tightly wrapped around the throat (or not, as the case may be), not following his demand had an obvious consequence; Tobin had compete control of that persons airway and had no objections to aggressively throttling the person into the next life. "I don’t repeat my threats."-Come parteh people, entertain me.-

Without so much as a warning, the group atop the forward tower was attacked. The crimson mist of the Bard's song formed into sharp blades, piercing their bodies in a powerful motion that can only be described as a bloody massacre. The warden whom followed her up only took position inside the tower, beside or nearby her, whichever he chose. In the other tower, the guards were both taken care of without much of a problem. As the Enchanter bound the archer bandit, the other was quickly dispatched by the Cleric/Monk combo, causing them both to disappear rather quickly as well. However, there was one fatal flaw, that the Enchanter had not realized, which she would very quickly realize after much longer. Her shout, which was meant to be heard by those around her, wasn't as quiet as she had thought. Her call to her allies also alerted the nearby guards inside the building, and a large clamor was being made inside the building. The sound of weapons and shouting from inside the castle began resounding from inside, and slowly made its way to the doors, where a large group of bandits would soon come out. In about 5 minutes time, the bandits would appear, clad in armor and weaponry, and begin attacking whomever was outside, causing the racket. A good move to distract the outside guards on the towers, but not a good move, if the group wanted to get in quietly and get the job done. However, to be fair, it may not have been the group's intention to keep things quiet. But, that was up to them. I'm just the narrator, who is about to swap over to his own character for a moment. What do I know, aside from what could happen? Hiro's ears perked up as he heard the sound of a female's scream outside, and he immediately looked up to the window that was high above himself. Standing up, Hiro ran to the door, and knocked. "Hey, Kumori. Did you hear that, too?" Hiro assumed that he was asleep or something, though, with the lack of response that could be made. However, he might not have heard the response at all, due to the sound of the guards running through the nearby halls. Nobody made their way into the prison hall to check on the duo, though, which was somewhat surprising. Aside from this, though, Hiro just went back to sit down on the bed. There was only one red-headed adventurer that he could imagine would make that shout. Folding his arms across his chest, Hiro smirked. "Damn, Lavinia. Still got that strong voice, don't ya?"Back outside: Information for @0x1dea and Midori. The two of you hear the shout that Lavinia had made, and you also now hear the rambling and rumbling going on inside the castle, as it is loud enough for you two to hear. The main gate is not open yet, and Oxford is too large with his armor to go through the holes in the wall, as well as Midori would likely get focused down through the group, as she is the least battle-looking one in the group, and therefore much more of a threat. Highly advised that you two stay out of the fight. As such, here are the options for the group. 1. At the cost of large battle, you may fight the onslaught of bandits, and go through the building while fighting through. May cost more time (10-15 minute large-scale battle), and may result in casualties. 2. Split up into two smaller groups, having the most battle-oriented stay outside and fight off the bandits while buying time for the other group to find the leaders. Might not cost time, depending on the searching group, but will almost definitely result in casualties. 3. Set up ambush points within the towers which you have just cleared, and take out the bandits that arrive there, and then run inside with the fewer numbers in the area. Costs time (5 minutes), low chance of casualties. 4. Run back to the forest, hide, and let the bandits begin a larger search of the greater area, then sneak back inside as a group and search for the leaders together. Costs much time (30 minutes), but very low risk of casualties. Current Mission Time: 11:10 PM/2310 Hours Mission Completion Time: 1:00 AM/0100 Hours Mission Objective: Rescue Hirosame and Kumori within the abandoned castle before 1:00 AM in-game time. WARNING!: Higher-leveled bandit boss has entered the vicinity! Be cautious about your options, and try to make a consensus on whatever you choose! Options: Read Above. Actions Allowed This Rotation:1. Adventurers may run out into the courtyard and prepare for the fight. 2. Adventurers may select who stays and who fights, sending the searching group off to find the leaders. Amount of rotations for this: Unknown. 3. Adventurers may set up in either one or both the towers, and in the next posting cycle, bandits will begin searching the area. Authorized to kill-on-sight, as you will have the element of surprise. 4. Adventurers may rendezvous with Midori and Oxford, and hide until the coast is clear. Should this be the choice, the posting rotation will skip ahead 30 minutes, and the next rotation will be about getting back inside. All Tags: Midori, @0x1dea, Blue, Bailin, Nostracatus, Tobin, Lavinia, CharuenOOC: Sorry for the wait, had to get my computer in and fixed up. We may or may not die. Fight hard~ 1105 we must be K I L L E R S CHILDREN OF THE WILD ONES Reluctant Heroes
The situation had grown a bit dire in light of previous events. Blue should have figured they would have problems handling Player characters but she had tucked the thought away in favor of pragmatism. However the sound of Lavinia shouting was enough for all of them to register, and that was no good at all. Perhaps it was intentional, but it went against their original intent of staying incognito. Blue could have gotten away with fighting because of her area of effect burst power but she had hoped their magic users would have found a less blunt approach while maintaining their element of surprise. Now Blue could hear the rumble of feet charging through the cobblestone corridors of the ruins to meet them all. Blue cursed to herself, crouching low to peer over the battlements at the entrance of the ruins. There was no telling how many were in there, but they needed to get in somehow. They could fall back for now and try again, but the ruins would definitely be on high alert. No, they couldn’t afford to turn back now. Time was still of the essence here. A frontal assault then? It would take them a little bit of time and risked casualties that might cause trouble further down the line. It wouldn’t be worth it. So that left two options for them, they could sit and wait in ambush, a similar thought to the previous option but much less likely to end in casualties… or… they could leave someone behind. A small force to find their quarry while a fighting force holds off the brunt of the enemy forces. The last option insured casualties on the teams part. As if in premonition, Blue’s mind went to Charlotte caught in such a bloody mess.“Right… The choice is clear then.”Blue pulled up her menu and smoothly navigated the interface, opening the party communication window and initiating group chat. “The enemy will be pulling up to the towers in less than a minute, hide in the towers and wait for them to get between us, then ambush them. They’ll be caught by surprise and will be scattered. Should be an easy enough fight for us. Charuen, stay on heal duty. Lavinia, use your buffs to support Bailin, Nostra, and I.” She issued orders like a conductor of an orchestra, with show time on the horizon. They didn’t have time to argue strategy, If they did nothing, they’d be doomed to fall anyway. Blue wasn’t going to let them be slaughtered for nothing. The enemy units quickly filtered out of the castle. It was too dark to tell just how many were in their group, but hopefully she could catch them all in her Area of Effect skills. If not, then this would be a much tougher battle for them all. They sat there waiting for an agonizing few seconds. The bandits called out to their guards in the towers, but nobody dared give a response. Blue tightened her grip on her sword, her expression was intense. The rush of real battle was new and… exhilarating. She had fought off common monsters before but never an actual person. So this was what a warrior felt like, facing the tide of battle. It was almost like being on stage again... She loved it.An unknown number of guards had entered the tower which Bailin and Blue occupied. Judging by the footsteps, it was maybe three or four? A surprise attack would even up the numbers a little for the two fighters. They were quickly walking up the stairs of the tower from the lower quarter. Blue’s sword was drawn and a feral aura was coming off her. She waited, like an animal on the prowl for her prey to step into her maw. step… step… step… “Resonance Beat.” Her dash was immediate, and her sword shined in the moonlight like a sliver of destruction. It vibrated with it’s own tune, and one could hear the hum of the Battle Bard as she struck her blade mercilessly against an unsuspecting guards neck. His armor had saved him from death, but the damage and effect of her skill had done its work. “Bailin, hit him first!” Blue commanded, pushing past the first enemy and crossing blades with the next. At least two of the enemy bandits were around her. She couldn’t determine their classes. Didn’t care to. They had made the mistake of surrounding her already. She pushed away the enemy she had crossed blades with and quickly pulled out her flute, giving a devilish grin as he pressed her lips against the head joint and started playing a tune. Phantom Ensemble. It was as if the air itself began to bend to her song. The night winds swirled around, escalating as her song did before exploding in a furious gust of air. One of the enemies was knocked back off the railing of the stairs, taking a plummet to the bottom of the tower. Whether he survived, she could not tell, but it evened the odds enough for them both. The price for her sudden spell was an opening in her defenses which the enemy swordsman freely took advantage of. Blue could feel as blade cut flesh and her arm sprayed out particles of anima. Just a flesh wound. She needn’t worry about such things now. The bard drew her blade once again and faced off against her current foe, parrying a second blow and punishing it with a swift jab into his lower abdomen. In the old world, that would have destroyed his kidney, but an Adventurer didn’t have to worry about that now did they? The two duked it out for a few seconds, exchanging blows viciously until one of them finally succumbed to their wounds. Blue did not. When it came down to it, Blue was simply quicker than this common sellsword. When he was left open after an attack, she took the liberty of planting the end of her blade in his throat, severing an important artery and leaving him to bleed out on the floor. Bailin could handle the remaining guard. The bard darted down the stairs, blade drawn and a dark expression on her face. A couple bandits were hanging out front, waiting for their comrades. She knew this because she could feel the wooden door of the tower slamming hard against someone and knocking them over. The other had struck out at her in response. She had managed to dodge, but was now in the middle of an angry band of thugs. Her comrades were not in sight.

As soon as Charuen had made her way over toward the opening within the castle walls, Midori closed one eye in order to test out her new ability. It was disorienting this way, as she was experiencing double vision as a result of mixed visual signals from her remaining open eye and the sigil feedback on Charuen's collarbone. She decided to close both eyes instead, allowing the vision to become all the more easier to understand. The Heretic received a eyewitness view of what it felt like for the pink-haired girl to crawl through the castle wall hole. It seemed like the collarbone had been a good position, although she would occasionally see strands of pink brushing into her vision. She also didn't really get a complete picture of what the girl would have been seeing, considering that when one turns to look at something, they wouldn't usually use their entire body to look at the object. She could tell that the girl was alternating her gaze in case of any guards, but Midori wouldn't be able to clearly see the layout of the area. Perhaps she needed to reconsider the insignia's placement at a future date. One good thing would be to place it somewhere on an ally's exposed back to warn them of ambushes. In the case of scouting attempts like Charuen's current act, perhaps the forehead would have been a better indicator. It would have been easier to follow what the girl would have been seeing rather than extrapolate based on the direction she was facing. In any case, this was her first time doing such a thing, so she sent a message to the other girl in order to improve their synchronization.
With her eyes still closed, Midori raised her left arm and made a phone-like gesture upon her ear. She was triggering the Telepathy ability, and anything she would say right now would only be heard from her new acquaintance. Charuen! She paused a little during that telepathy message after seeing the other girl's bodily reaction to her sudden voice. Considering that she only had a visual indicator of what the other girl was doing, she wasn't sure of the context that the message should have been sent through. Oh dear. This will probably take some time to get used to. I hope I didn't startle you or interrupt anything... um, what was I going to say? Her voice through Telepathy trailed off a little as she continued to think aloud, almost quite literally. Right! If you see anything that you think I should be aware of, please turn your upper body at least to face it. I can't really get a clear idea of whether anything's going on if you simply turn your head in a direction. Anyway, careful of that tower, as I believe there's two enemies upstairs. Good luck and I'll be in touch!
According to her vision, the two did manage to dispatch the two enemies easily. Although, there was a caveat. While she did state that her auditory senses were not shared with her current partner, she had heard the Enchanter Lavinia's loud shouting quite clearly even from her position. Well, that was great. Maybe it was time for Plan B. Did you hear that, @0x1dea? Doctor Ox? It's time to mask up and go loud. Literally. Midori did actually bring a makeshift mask to this mission. It was a peculiar mask that resembled a girl's face, although half of it was white and the other half was black. The black eyes completing the mask made it look like a wide-eyed ghost. Nevertheless, she metaphorically pressed G to put on the mask and prepared to move out. Of course, the consequences of masking up at this time, especially considering that she wouldn't meet the Dwarf until the winter ball (and likewise in a manner where neither of them had actually recognized them from this night). I know, trying to make sense of Liquid Time? What was she, Luna? Speaking of a Dwarf Tobin she wouldn't recognize, a Level 30 bandit leader had suddenly showed up at the area in front of the party members. This essentially meant they needed to regroup all the more urgently.
"So it's probably time for us to join up with them. Will you be all right fitting through with your armor, or will you have to de-equip it first? In any case, I'm going to go snipe a little bit." The masked Heretic asked her glasses-wearing partner. Whatever the case, she poked her body into the thin gap in the castle wall at an angle close enough to view the few bandits who were crowding up downstairs, banging at the tower entrance in an attempt to overwhelm the party. Nevertheless, activating her spell from here would probably have its plus sides. Because the Guardian beside her was specced like a tank, chances were that if they couldn't regroup with the party as soon, the bandits might possibly focus their attention on whoever was attacking from behind the castle walls. And of course, it was bottlenecked enough that they had no choice but to squeeze through and risk a blockade by a Guardian and steady sniping by a Heretic.
She summoned her trusty grimoire that looked like a manga volume and held its pages face-up and open. The pages of the grimoire started to flash with a sinister energy as a black orb of negative power materialized from its pages. She aimed the spell toward the mob of guards, firing the full-power Miasma Bullet in an attempt to divert their attention (and possibly dispatch or injure whoever might be unfortunate enough to be struck by the attack).

Feet, feet in the dark, hitting stones as they rose and fell, a shout of a vaguely familiar face and a plan that went bananas. ‘Well, at least this party is going to get started really swell.’ Bailin thought as he looked over to Blue, awaiting to receive instructions from her for him. She definably had more experience than he had, so he was fine with following instructions from her. Silently awaiting any hint of what she wanted to him to do and what she had in mind Bailin crouched down, to make his presence a little less obvious. [break][break] Suddenly Blue spoke out, probably voicing out the conclusion of her thoughts. She opened her group chat panel and told the party to lay an ambush and wait for the enemy to get between the two groups, instructing Lavina to buff up himself, Nostra and Blue herself. [break][break] Feet upon the stairs as they ran up, Blue tightening her grip on her sword. ‘Well now let us get this party started. One more onto the breach and all that.’ Bailin thought as he readied himself for the sure to ensue battle. The second the enemy showed up Blue shot forward, sword shining and slashing. Her instructions were rather simple: Get rid of that guy first and as such he set to work, shooting upright and stabbing the intended target once, leaving the guard startled for a second time, whilst his health diminished further. [break][break] Two hostiles were surrounding Blue, but Bailin figured she could hold her own. The split second distraction gave the nearly dead guardsman the ideal moment to lash out to Bailin, dealing a tad of damage, though currently the guardsman was in worse shape. Annoyed with himself for letting his guard down a minute moment, Bailin lashed out once more, getting the guardsman’s health down to one or perhaps two hits, if he happened to be lucky.
