"Rejected, Tyonis!"
The Samurai could only shoot Franny bewildered glare as she pulled on his arm just as she sent her skeleton to take the blow that would have smashed him into the floorboards. The Summoner's minion vanished beneath the Slenderman's impossibly large fist. Its passing only bought him a few steps back, but it was enough for him to leap away and disengage alongside his partner. Every limb felt heavy and blood poured freely from his primary joints, so strained by the impact from the initial strike, the blood vessels popped and his flesh ruptured along with the snapping of several bones. His retreat was slow and the door looked too far. Tyonis was about to tell Franny to leave him behind, but her words pushed him forward. With a grunt, he held his small partner close to his chest as he half-sprinted, half-fell forward, through the open door.
Rather than chase after its prey, the Slenderman reached for them, its fingers warped and elongated, writhing through the air like black snakes. The vipers struck out, wrapping around the male's ankle even as he crossed into the next Hall. The human's expression turned from one of determination to fear as he threw the child in his arms further into the next Hall. The human continued to struggle. A dagger appeared in the male's free hand and he thrust it into the ground in an attempt to anchor himself. Yet the Slenderman's fingers continued to bind the Samurai's legs even tighter and pulled harder to compensate. It was deliberate and agonizingly slow.
The human's elbow was just past the door, now. The previous hall was entirely pitch black, like an abyssal pit or a maw wide open. A dozen more serpentine fingers draped its prey to drag him even faster. The Samurai turned to the open door and his expression shifted. The fear that emanated so sweetly from him vanished, replaced by something stronger. In response, the Slenderman's other hand emerged from the darkness, reaching for the male's skull. Whatever hope his prey had would be crushed like -
Tyonis wrapped his fingertips around the bottom corner of the door as he was pulled past it. With a primal warcry, he used what remained of his stamina pulled himself up while shoving the door shut. The countless limbs that encompassed his body were severed as soon as it slammed. The entire Hall rattled.
"Haaa... haaa.... haa..." Tyonis gasped as the adrenaline rush began to fade. He lay prostrate on the ground, head facing the ceiling. His HP bar was glowing red, meaning he had less than 10% left. Even so, they survived the Slenderman, a feat that would have been impossible in their previous world.
