What was the best thing to do after an intense day fighting in field? Leo Walked through the streets of London with an absent look on his face, he felt slightly annoyed and didn’t want to go home already. The problem was that there wasn’t that much to do in the city beside meeting up with people and crafting. Leo continued walking down the streets while scrolling his friend list, maybe he could contact someone to meet up with him, but he soon realized that everyone was busy doing their own things. Leo snorted and closed his menu by swinging down his arm, just when he wanted to meet up with others they had to be busy and it was pretty rare for him to call others out for this sort of things in this game. Leo wasn’t a loner, he liked to be with others, it’s just that almost everyone on his friend list wasn’t that close to him. The young swashbuckler continued walking and looked over the street in annoyance, there weren’t many people out and by effect there wasn’t much noise either, everything was so damn calm and annoying that Leo felt drowsy just by staying in this atmosphere. He put his hands in his pockets and yawned, he had to find something to do fast or he feared he could fall on street asleep. After a few minutes, Leo walked by accident into some obscure alley, before he returned to the main road he raised his sight and looked at a sign of a nearby local. It was a tavern, Leo shrugged and decided to stop his search and drown his boredom with food and drinks. As Leo entered the tavern, the door made a shrieking sound loud enough to pull all the attention on himself for a moment, then everyone in the tavern returned to what they were doing. Leo put his hands in the pockets and looked around, that tavern was dark and a bit dusty but at least it seemed a somewhat decent place to get a meal and a few drinks. The tavern looked like what you could find in most mmos, gruff looking characters sitting at the tables and decorations on the walls that were mostly dead animals heads or pelts, pretty classic for a modern game. Leo quickly found an empty table and sit there, probably he could have chosen a better wayto consume a meal but in reality what wa the difference? Everything that wasn’t cooked by an adventurer with the cooking skill all tasted the same, there was literally no difference in where to eat except for aesthetics. Sometimes Leo cursed himself on not choosing the cooking skill when he first started, the number of his friends in the game who could cook was abysmal and he couldn’t pester them around for a meal every time. Leo crossed his arms behind his head and rested his back on the chair while looking at the tavern’s ceiling, maybe he could go all villain and kidnap some cooks, that way he would never have to taste the crap that landers cooked every day. He laughed silently at his thought/joke and waited patiently for the waiter of the tavern. WC: 538 tags: Arawnn

It was about time for Arawnn to take one of his daily meal breaks. Living poor was extremely rough, especially when your pay was food and a room to sleep in for the night. He constantly traveled around London, working at various restaurants and taverns or inns as a housekeeper just so he can have a new place to sleep in and a new place to eat; was a pity most of the food tasted absolutely horrid. He had learned many nights ago, to just take ingredients and eat those since they at least had flavor. With his waiter outfit still on, he left the back room and entered the main lobby. There were several full seats, and most of them had two people at each table; except for one. At the table sat a man, and he was obviously an adventurer. Figuring that he might as well do one last thing before he orders his own meal to eat, he might as well get one last order.
The four foot tall Werecat in a waiter outfit walked over to where the man sat. Upon reaching the table, he did a slight bow and asked, "What would you like made?" then handed him a menu. There wasn't much on said menu, seeing as how it was probably made by a low-level scribe or by a simple Person of the Land due to it's literally being a single piece of paper with lines of text on one side, but not the other. Arawnn spoke once more once the man he handed the menu started looking at it. "Honestly, the food here tastes pretty terrible. I'd recommend some fruit, since they have flavor." The cat smiled, awaiting the man's response. Words: 288

The wolf hair waited patiently for someone to come and take his order, in the meantime he started looking around the tavern. The other adventurers in the tavern didn't look very happy and Leo just knew why. You go to taverns to eat and drink and here everything had the same taste, for some people this little inconvenient could mean a disaster. Fortunately Leo wasn't one to care much of food, this world without taste didn't bother him like it did to others. Leo turned his head and looked at the bartender's table, all the employees were working really hard on the food even though they knew it would still taste like crap. Among one of those employees there was a really peculiar one, a little werecat that barely even stood up over the table. Thanks to the flexible character creation system, Leo was able to see every day around the city certain special characters that really stand out among the crowd. Some because they wanted to make joke characters before creating their main ones, some because they just had terrible taste. This cat didn't look like those abominations though, the only thing that made him stand out was his extreme low stature, a dwarf werecat if you wish. Maybe he wasn't an adventurer at all, perhaps he was a person of the land born with anomaly genes, the fact the he was working in that tavern also greatly supported the lander theory. Still, Leo couldn't help but keep his eyes on him. He had to be honest, he found that werecat somewhat adorable to the point he almost wanted to pet him, but then he remembered how embarrassing it feels when someone pets you. In fact there was a certain girl that had taken a liking to pet his wolf ears every time they met, he just felt like a damned puppy whenever she did it. The werecat then suddenly started to move out and come in Leo's direction, the wolf hair quickly shifted his sight on his table to make it seem like he wasn't watching him, staring is rude or so he was taught. The little werecat greeted him and then handed him the menu, Leo didn't even bother reading it as it would be pointless, he'd just take whatever the cat recommended him. His response wasn't ordinary though, the little cat just admitted that everything in the tavern just tasted terrible, instead he'd recommend him some fruit. That wasn't something a lander would say, insulting your own cooking was somewhat bizarre. Leo looked at the cat and funnily enough he was still taller than him even while he sat, " Pretty unusual to bash your own workplace's cooking" He said with a small smile, " alright then, i'll take some fruit mix. For the drink instead....surprise me, anything will go" He concluded while returning his menu. As the cat stood beside him, Leo looked at his clothes and for a moment his desire to pet him just grew tenfold. That cat was just too adorable with that suit, Leo wondered how in hell there wasn't a crew of squealing girls all over him trying to pet him, probably being a dwarf werecat wasn't such a bad thing after all. Arawnn smiled as the man agreed to his request, and held the smile when the man pointed out how he just insulted the place that was giving him free room and board for the day. "I suppose that was a bit harsh. I just figured you should hear the truth as a fellow adventurer." He bowed slightly, "I shall retrieve both the meal and drink. It'll be on my tab." Winking with a smile, the cat turned and speedily walked off to collect the food. Upon walking into the back room he began preparing a rather large bowl of fruits and vegetables, made completely out of random bits of ingredients. Not even bothering to combine the ingredients, it eventually piled up and up. There were oranges, grapes, apples, lettuce, tomatoes; everything one could want out of a meal based on fruit and more. As for the drink, that was a different story all together.
Arawnn grabbed a large teapot that had been filled with boiling water, added more than a couple tea leaves, then closed the lid. I'll have to apologize to the owner in the morning, perhaps pay him a little bit. The thought pierced Arawnn's mind as he grabbed a couple saucers and tea cups, placed them on the tray with the fruit, and left the back room. Glancing around he gained his bearing; after all he had only been there one day. Thankfully he remembered his original path and began walking towards the man he was serving. It must have been silly seeing such a large bowl of fruit being carried over towards a single customer. Other landers and adventurers alike had to do a double take from the scene, especially since such a small cat was carrying something that looked around a full quarter of his size. After placing the entire tray down in front of the man, Arawnn took the seat across from him while positioning one of the teacups in front of himself. "It'll be done in around... ten minutes or so. Green tea." The Butler entirely forgot that not everybody loved their tea unsweetened.

The little werecat responded to the wolf hair, he said with a smile that as a fellow adventurer he felt obliged to warn him about the food quality. Wait…fellow adventurer? Leo looked at the tiny cat man with curious eyes, he was almost too sure that the cat was just lander, I mean come on: strange character appearance, working in a lander tavern, aren’t those dead giveaways about his status as a lander. So Leo was wrong, in that same moment he tried to wonder how would it be to live in a body that was so incredibly different from your usual one. Maybe that man in real life was really tall, just what did he feel the first time he entered in this world and found he was a replica of that cat from fantasy stories called “puss in boots”? Leo wasn’t entirely human either, but at least the changes in his physiology were minimal, he just gained wolf ears, tails and fangs whenever he felt strong emotions or when in a tough battle, and those changes were enough for him to creep him out all the times they appeared. While Leo was lost in his thoughts about character creation problems and whatnot, the werecat swiftly returned to his work place and just as swiftly came back to the wolf hair. He placed a plate on Leo’s table containing fruits and vegetables of all kinds. It was a blessing that Leo liked to eat those kind of healthy foods, they were the only thing in this world not produced by adventurers that had any taste in them; in real life he would have preferred a big juicy steak but right it wasn’t really an option. The werecat said that his drink was still in preparation though, which meant that the cat had something warm for him to taste. Leo preferred cold drinks but honestly he’d take anything the cat wanted to give him, Leo didn’t have such harsh tastes and was happy with almost anything that wasn’t british coffee, that was one of the only thing that Leo could never get used to when he went to live in London. As Leo tasted his first bite on an orange piece, the werecat tried to make a conversation with him like any good bartender would do. The wolf hair didn’t mind at all, eating and talking in company was better than being alone, especially with such a peculiar character in front of him. Leo raised his arm and placed it were his name tag appeared and pointed it with his thumb, “ I’m Stryke, just your average adventurer looking for something to eat after a day of hunting” He let his arm rest on his side and munched another piece of his fruit mix, in the meantime he looked at the werecat, he had to ask that question, even if he he’d come off as rude for it, “ Anyway, you said you’re an adventurer right? I’ll honestly tell you that I’ve completely mistaken you for a lander for how you look and where you work. Can I ask you a question? I don’t want to be rude but can you tell me how it feels to live in a body so much different from your real one? It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while now” tags: ArawnnWC:556
