Ugh, watching landers sew was ever so boring, but ever so important. Frigus knew nothing about sewing really, except that you put a needle in and out of fabrics. Which, upon closer inspection was harder than it looked. Why did he choose this subclass again? Oh right, so he could make some interesting items and a unique appearance for his character. Hell, he should have picked woodworking as his crafting subclass. At least he knew how to work with wood. Or maybe he should have become an alchemist. Even that was more interesting than sewing. The only downside to that was that alchemy didn't quite exist in the real world. So that probably meant it would have been quite difficult to learn.
Placing a box down upon the ground Frigus heaved a sigh. Today he was going to craft something, hopefully. What was he going to craft exactly? A blanket. Why? Because the inn he was staying at only supplied one measly blanket for him. And it was ever so old, dirty and full of holes. But to top it all off it didn't even provide much warmth as well. And that just wouldn't due, especially for when the especially cold nights started to roll in. So, bending down now he began to grab the materials which would enable him to craft a soft blanket.
Scissors, needles, cheap thread, and a two pieces of cheap fabric. Those were the materials and tools Frigus took out of the box. The fabrics and thread were quite simple since they were cheap, which was to be expected. The little tools he took out were simple as well, which didn't mean anything really. As long as they fulfilled their task the tools could be as plain as plain could be.
After cutting the thread Frigus pinched the end, which was followed by wrapping it around his left hand index finger. After that he pulled the end in such a fashion that it created the tailor's knot. Placing it in between his lips now he attempted to smooth the end. Once a moment or two had passed be retrieved the end, which appeared to be quite sleek and whole. Sliding the end of the thread through the small hole in the needle the summoner then began to penetrate the two pieces of fabric. Which were laid upon one another. Pulling the needle up through the fabric he moved it to the right of where it had come up. Penetrating the fabric one more he brought it up ahead of the thread, before inserting the needle into the end of the previous stitch.

The type of sewing Frigus was performing was called a backstitch, and it looked somewhat nice. The stitches that is, the materials were questionable. Bringing the needle up he continued with sewing along the sides of the blanket. It was somewhat simple what he was doing. Kind of. Since this was his first time sewing the blanket didn't look all too good, but it would provide some more warmth during the night. So, simply bringing up the needle here and there and bringing it back into the previous stitch he went along the fabric. It got quite boring fast, the needlework.
So, as to chip away at the boredom he was enduring Frigus began to whistle. It was a tuneless whistle, simply free-form. It didn't exactly take away the boredom that much, but it was something. Continuing to stitch he moved the needle in and through the fabric, only occasionally puncturing himself with the needle. He should have brought a thimble, it would have protected his fingers. But that was assuming they were even used while sewing. He just knew they went upon someone's fingers. Hopefully he wouldn't stab through his entire finger while he wasn't using one. It would make such a horrible stain on the fabric, and he just couldn't have that now could he.
Now whistling the tune of Jingle Bells Rock one might be able to tell that Frigus was thinking about the Christmas season. Which was very much what he was doing, since nice warm blankets happened to remind him of the holiday. It greatly assisted him in passing the time, until it was finished it is. Then he simply moved onto some other Christmas songs, like I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing in and Carol Of The Bells. So on and so forth he went, whistling the tunes of varying Christmas songs as he worked. It made things less boring.
Coming to the end of his sewing for the blanket Frigus stuck the needle through a small bit of fabric and up slightly, not pulling all of the thread with it. Sticking the needle through the small loop which was formed he pulled, which was followed by repeating the step once more and cutting off the excess. Lifting up the blanket now it didn't look very nice. This was mainly due to how inexperienced he was with sewing, and that the materials were cheap. Of course, that was excluding his tailor level. But, this was his first creation in this world, so it was expected not to be too nice in terms of look.
Placing the blanket over his shoulder and leaning down now to grab his box of supplies Frigus thought of something. Couldn't he place these items into his inventory? Heaving a great sigh he opened up the UI before navigating to his inventory, which he then placed all his tools, materials, and brand new creation into. Honestly, sometimes he forgot about some of the good things about this world being a game. Quite pleased that he didn't have to carry all those items in his arms Frigus decided to head back to the inn he was staying at. It was a nice place, for the price anyway. It cost ten gold per night he stayed there, meals only cost about five gold. Which was still something he found overpriced, considering how it tasted foul. But no matter, he had accomplished the task of making a blanket. He should be happy, not mad.
