Oddy felt some of his breath escaping from his lungs as he saw bubbles floating up wards that escaped from his mouth, he felt like giving up but knew he couldn´t
.

I would never forgive myself.


Was what he thought, while slowly sinking back to the bottom still holding Saskia´s hand.


If I could only…Figure out something to get that armour off her.


He knew it would be futile to try and take off the armour of Saskia without at least another person helping. But with a grim expression on his face he looked back at Saskia and tried to pull her back to the surface by doing powerfull strokes with legs, but the weight of the armour was too heavy and pulling Saskia down along with him.


Then he looked around but shook his head against the futility of this.


If only that Goblin did not manage to get her in the lake then this would not have happened.


Were Oddy´s thoughts when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He looked over his shoulder and saw the person he saw before on the land went to the other side of Saskia and took her arm over her shoulder.


Help has arrived, that makes me feel better so much better. 


Oddy thought as he felt hope and determination surface, as they both sank to the surface and then pushed off with their feet they quickly realised that the Armour was really weighing them down, after the other woman gestured to Oddy about the armour, she set to work and Oddy helped, leaving the private areas to the other woman.


Would probably get a punch or more for that if I did that.


Thought Oddy grimly. As the last few pieces of the armour sank to the bottom Oddy glanced at the healthbar of Saskia and saw it was dwindling he also noticed the other woman had noticed it and watched as she shared some of her oxygen with Saskia and then gave a signal that they were good to go, so Oddy and the other woman both swam to the surface while holding Saskia, since she was as light as a feather now it was much easier to make progress. As they broke the surface of the water. Oddy took in a deep breath before he dragged Saskia together with the other woman to the shore of the lake and out of the water.


“Make way! Emergency coming through!” Oddy said as he laid down Saskia carefully on the ground then started a tough process.


Think Oddy..Think! Right got to get the water out of her.


Thought Oddy as he started to perform CPR on Saskia, mostly pushing the water out of her lungs, as he looked around he quickly noticed Saskia´s Warhorse and dragged her to the horse, he managed with some difficulty to get the horse to lay down and put Saskia against the horses belly with her back, before he opened up his interface and put back on his armour.


“Put your armour on quickly and if you have something spare put it on her, Mitsuru try to heal her if you can if you cannot, then at least try to provide some body heat for Saskia.” Said Oddy as he put on his fingerless gloves with the small studs indicating where the knuckles were.

He grabbed his black scarf and wrapped it around Saskia´s neck so she would get a bit more heat there.


“Now, we just wait and hope she survives because I ran out of ideas.” Said Oddy while running his hand through his wet hair and sighing loudly. Oddy went and sat close to Saskia, keeping his space as he did not know how Saskia would react when she would be awake again.


So Oddy sat there and then looked at the other woman. “Sorry never caught your name, I should introduce myself properly but, I´ll just give my name and class for now since my guild leader Saskia has to have someone watching her for now.” Oddy coughed and said. “My name is Oddytiudnir, my class is Assassin. What is your name?” But, Oddy couldn´t help but be worried so he forgot to wait for an answer and went back on watching Saskia with concerned eyes. And could not help but think.


I hope she will recover from this ordeal, it is not every day that you get launched by a big Goblin in to a lake and then get saved by someone like me and then another girl, I have no idea what she thought when I came to save her but I will simply not let my guild leader die in a pathetic way as drowning.


Then Oddy folded his arms over each other to try and prevent more heat loss for himself and sat there with a determined look on his face and carefully said.


“Don´t give up now Saskia, you have so much more to do so much more to fight for.”

Saskia could see webs of red strands of hair weave wildly as they pressed into the hymen of the lake, shattering the surface and diving deeper. Though her vision was blurry, even she could catch the unseen sight of the once heavily armored Pen Ddraig as she slowly drifts closer. She looks like a ghost, maybe an angel of heaven, or perhaps the angel of death coming to cradle Saskia as she slowly slips to the cathedral. The water begins to burn her nose as bubbles float up from beyond her nostrils. A hot sensation overwhelms her as she begins to panic, kicking and screaming as her health bar continues to deplete, though she knows she would live again if she may die, the sensation of suffocation is all too frightening and one of her deepest fears. The armor that enveloped her body wasn’t making things any easier. It’s weight forestalled her ascension and the muscles in her arm began to feel strained as they stretched out into the wet void. Her efforts seemed futile as she watched her health bar continue to wane. It began to blink into orange. The critcal zone where she had less that twenty percent health. Her heart began to race, as she felt the rush of the pounding in her chest raging like a mad bull. She was petrified her eyes bulging out as she was shaking her head nervous. She had run out of air and was beginning to drown.





She blinks profusely as Pen taps Oddy and the half naked duo began to strip her of her armor. Saskia shivered as she felt the cold waters begin to caress her slender body as she was now only in pink laced panties and her bra among other undergarments. She felt nauseated as things began to fade to black, in her tunnel vision was a pair of cherry lips as bright shining blue eyes that pressed against her lips and blew a breath of fresh, well, hopefully fresh, air into Saskia’s lungs. It was a great sensation of relief and it was the first time Saskia ever felt another woman’s lips on her own and it made her fluster, having never embraced the thought. She blinked in bewilderment, but was pleased with Pen’s actions, however her lungs had already begun to fill with water and the breath only bought her a few seconds at best before the shock set in and she would blackout.



Her limp body was carried to the surface and a flurry of pink hair rose from the lake. Her body was slid over to the ground where she lay unconscious, she could feel sharp thrusts below the center of her chest as two interlocked hands press inward several times, pumping the water out of her lungs. She coughs and groans as a puddle of liquid escapes her mouth. Her body convulses as her chest rises up and her face scrunches up in agony. She chokes, coughing on the residue of water in her throat and rolls over in the fields of snow. The frigid cold sends a chill through her body that sends her into another sense of shock. The sunburnt haired Assassin brings her over to the horse to warm her body. A scarf is put over her to help her war, but the bitter cold is unbearable. Her frail chest begins to rise and fall. She’s still alive, but she’s barely breathing as her eyelids remain closed. The health bar in her status screen would blink red.
Resilience began to take effect, healing her slowly. 


She barely made it.

They broke through the surface of the lake, the sharp teeth of winter's jaws clamped down against their skin. Pen let out a gasp for air as she surfaced. Her hair was plastered over her face, limiting her field of vision. The orange haired man navigated their way over to the bank of the lake. With Pen's assistance he pulled the body of their guild master from the water and placed her on her safely on the ground.


Pen watched from the pool as the orange haired man went through the basic steps of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, or CPR. The guardian knew from the first few seconds of watching him that he had a good handle of the situation. With a warm feeling in hr stomach Pen took a breath and submerged herself once more into the lake. Her target was the armor they took off her friend. Making three trips she retrieved the plate mail pieces and placed them at the lake's edge. 


The female guardian then crawled her way out of the drink and saw that they had placed the pink haired woman by Icarus, who had laid down to provide warmth and shielding for his rider. With the jaws of winter on her skin one again she quickly opened her inventory and pulled free a pale white cloak with almost baby blue trim on the seams. 


"Here." She said through chattering teeth as she draped the cloak over the pink lingerie clad woman. "Unfortunately we can't just sit around and wait for Saskia to get better on her own." She said a bit harshly in response to the orange haired man's statement. "Also, use anything you can to dry off with. We can't afford to have you catch your death."

Pen walked over to her armor and pulled on her clothes, then her armor. Her fingers fumbled with the clasps of the leather straps multiple times before finally getting it right. The orange haired man approached, now wrapped tightly in his leather armor. He extended a brief apology about pleasantries before offering his name and class. However, before she could answer his question he turned and strode over to the cloak wrapped guardian. 


"Alright...if we're gonna keep her here till she's better we need to get her off the ground. If we have blankets or anything I suggest using them to add some sort of padding and insulation to keep her warm." Pen said as she finished tightening the straps to her armor. "As for my name, it's Pen. As the bulky armor and shield can show, I'm a guardian."

She stepped over to the trio with her shield and sword back in place on her back, Pen adjusted the thick leather gloves that covered her hands. "So, Oddytiudn - man that's a mouth full- can I call you 'Odd' or anything to shorten that? I don't mean to offend, you know, I just don't think I'll be able to remember all that..."


The guardian looked over the group for a moment and let her eyes land on the boy. "How're you holding up, kid? What's your name?" She asked as she noticed her heart rate had dropped back to normal levels. Since her adrenaline had ceased and the battle for survival was over, her features had reverted back to normal. Her emerald green eyes had returned and found themselves focused on the boy with torn clothes and black finger nails. "So what the hell happened?" She asked, march her arm out in a gesture to the battle field. "I don't need a play by play. Just the foot notes would be fine." Pen knew how she sounded a bit angry but she needed to know what happened. She wasn't there for her friend when she needed her and she almost died for it.

Although she was keeping her personal feelings in check, she could sense the boy still feeling the pain, anger and sorrow from earlier. Now with her own emotions she had his, Oddytiudnir's, and Saskia's. Albeit her being unconscious helped a bit as she was more relaxed.

[Mitsuru Kirishima]

The water was moving and soon 3 people had broken through the ice cold surface. The once silent and calm water was now a mess as they were flapping their wings like birds in panic. Everything went so fast around him. They were all pretty much in underwear except Mitsu' who wore just torn up clothes. His hands were covered in red.

Blood.

His wide open eyes securitized his hands palms towards his face then on the other side. He shook his head brutally as to swap back to reality. The man with orange hair quickly step through the process of CPR by injecting air in her lungs and pressuring her chest up and down with both hands as support. The sight of such made Mitsu' shiver and his eyes twitched and closed. His hands trembled as he remembered himself doing so on the other side. Unfortunately it hadn't succeeded and the person had died choking on his own blood. The reminiscences of the taste of blood flood into the red eyed boy's mouth. The tip of his tongue slowly licked both the upper and lower lip as if there was blood on them and a faint smile appeared. Suddenly his fingers crisped on his own face like trying to remove something or tear out his skin.

Useless.

He stood there while both of the others did as much as they could to help out their companion. The pink haired lady was inert, lying on the ground or so it had appeared. She had coughed out water which had been stuck in her lungs and her body convulsed. His red eyes stared at the scene. He wanted to help, but two other person were already doing everything that could be done. He was like a statue, frozen, fixed in place unable to move a limb. He heard Oddy ask him to heal the woman, but he shook his head slowly from left to right. She had been and was still in a stressful situation. In a state of shock, increasing corruption would only fatigue her more and therefore lessen the chances of her getting any better.

"I can't. If I do so, I'll just worsen the situation. I apply corruption upon my target. It would only make it worse for her..."

He couldn't even cast a spell to heal his companion without putting them to danger, it made his wince and look down to his feet, hit eyes shot upwards at the sight of blood on his hands. He could smell it, he could smell painful memories. Voices came to his ears, making him jump out of his thoughts.

"Give some heat ?" he whispered in disbelief.

He couldn't do that, he was himself very cold but wouldn't say anything concerning his state. He was alive and it was much more then he could expect out of what had just happened. He shook his head once again adding :

"I can't..."

He didn't want to add anything more, he didn't want to speak that much anyways. He was pissed about what had just happened and he knew it was because they were all weak but he was the weakest. He was like a burden but no one had said it out loud yet. Both of them had taken care of Saskia which was now in a comfy position on the ground with clothing to get her back to a conceivable temperature. The woman, whose face was covered in blood, was named Pen and the man, Oddy, were both putting back on their clothes and armor. Two guardians, one Assassin and a Heretic. His right hand ran through his silver hair before checking his own clothes and sighed. His eyes ran from left to right going from Pen to Oddy and then to Saskia who was lying on the floor. They had done a great job at saving her, it made him happy but it was also painful to see he had been of not much use.

If only...

Pen snapped him from his thoughts, his head swung towards her as his eyes followed slowly, the whole movement was pretty gloomy and seemed unnatural. What was his name ? His inhaled before speaking.

"My name is Mitsuru Kirishima. You can call me Mitsu'. Don't worry about me. I'm fine."

Or so he said... A fake but polite smile slipped on his lips which he made sure the woman could see. Unfortunately she didn't seem in a joyful mood, which seemed logic with what had just happened. He backed off, one step after another from approximately a meter away from her as he could sense her anger, he crossed his arms tapping his biceps with his fingers as if he was playing piano. She wanted to know what had happened. Even though Saskia had most of the information concerning the quest, he was aware of a good part of it and started the explanation.

"We had to clear the cave and find some of the people of the land who had adventured themselves all the way down here to get the job done..."

Which made him think that they had seen no one apart from Goblins.

"They cave was clear, so we decided to push further away to track down the beasts. The situation was under control until we got ambushed by two archers and that big one..."

He pointed out the location where the war hammer goblin had dispersed into anima bubbles. His voice echoed slightly as he spoke out more detailed explanations. He explained how most of the fights had gone, he still had a perfect memory of it.

"That's most of it..."

His crimson eyes dove into Pen's emerald jewels as if they were trying to find something, they then dropped the contact and went to the bottom right side of his eyes. Strangely he was feeling as if someone was grasping his heart and gripping it tight, his breathing stopped as his right hand clenched tight near his chest as to make the breathing start again. He had taken the risk to heal himself and apply more corruption then needed. He was pale and his finger nails started cracking, hopefully he had painted his nails black for people to not be able to see that process. He tried smiling and lifting his head back up as his red eyes followed the motion. In a reassuring tone he claimed :

"You guys did awesome ! You saved her ! Thank you..."

Down deep he was thankful, but a mixture of anger and happiness was intertwining inside of his body.

You could finish her off... Kill her.


Without noticing much of it his blood covered right hand had started stretching out towards Saskia. He yelled out :

"No !..."

As his left hand grasped his right forearm and bringing it back to his chest. His shut his eyes tight as to escape from what had just happened, and the look of Oddy and Pen. He swallowed painfully at the thought of being seen strangely, his grip on his arm tightened. He turned his back to everyone as if he wanted to hide however showing his back. He slid timidly a finger through the air to find a something to change in his inventory, but it was empty, he didn't have anything.
