Due To barrythechopper failing to post, I've decided to go ahead and start the next round, if he does not post next round, it will be rp'd that he never came into the temple. Remember that shikiodus left the forums for a bit, so he has been replaced with Saskia. Also I will no longer be waiting as long for everyone else to post, If you are having trouble posting please pm me and we will arrange to provide you with more time or allow others to skip you but not start the next round until you have posted. Failing to post within four days or letting me know, will result in you being skipped. Lets Play Elder Tales. Hp: 100 Mp: 70 ▼ Tagged: Shuwen silenyordle xylef @sugarygiggles Saskia Wc: 1457
NOTES: There are the following; Sahuagin Brute Lvl 30 [60%] Sahuagin A Lv 3 [80%] Sahuagin B Lvl 5 [30%] Sahaugin C Lvl 10 [50%]
Spells: Willow Spirt Brilliant Prism Speed Sword Etude | As Shuwen wasted no time in engaging the enemy, taking on three rather than one, Zyrune couldn't help but feel impressed by him. The sound of his weapon colliding with that of the Sahuagen, the sound of claning metal rang out through the air. The adventurer was certainly skilled as he had two already scrambling to their feet after a skilled counter while taking minor damage from another's water attack. It seemed that what the monk lacked in levels compared to Artemisia or Zyrune, he certainly made up for in agility, swiftness and strength, it also helped that the monk had higher elemental resistance than the rest of the group to the beasts water attacks.
The beasts seemed to be confident in their position as they uttered guttural noises that could only come from a disgusting hybrid of human and fish. It seemed that while Shuwen could handle his own against three, the rest of the Sahuagen were not so keen to leave numbers at that. Silenter seemed to understand that his low level was not a reason he should be shy, he could let Shuwen take the aggro and provide cover and dps and any damage he might take, Zyrune was sure that he could heal.
The guardian charged forwards with as much forced as a warrior four times his strength, the harsh knock to the creature sent it flying backwards, nearly toppling over several others of it's kind. However the half-alv knew that while Silenter could do significant damage to to some of the weaker ones, the higher level ones would be his and Artemisia's responsibility. "Keep it up guys!"
Speaking of the impressive sorcerer, this was the first time that Zyrune would see someone other than Saber from his guild House Of Crowns in battle and despite the urgency of the situation, he was keen to see what she could do. The druid would not be disappointed as the clear headed female seemed to observe the enemies before placing herself between the higher leveled beasts and the lower players. Raising her staff towards the air, a Sahaugin, no a Sahuagin brute charged forwards, the half-alv winced as he feared it would hit her, but the sky seemed to save the woman as lightening struck the disgusting beast sending it backwards, Zyrune couldn't help but notice the significant damage done to it's hp.
As the other brute seemed to target Shuwen, Zyrune smirked. He couldn't let it take on the two of them, they would be fine battling beasts of their level, but the other brute was his responsibility. Quickly he trust his staff forward, channeling the needed mana, he inhaled a breath. "Willow Spirit." Instantly the ground erupted in long twisting vines ensnaring the brute. It struggled and spat viciously as they restricted it's moment. Next Zyrune knew he needed to strike the beast, take down some of that hp. Trusting his staff forward again. "Brilliant Prism.", he watched it sparkle and glow for a moment before it erupted in a beam of strong light, striking the beast, it let out a noise which caused the druid to wince. Blinking, he shook it off taking note of the fact he had knocked a good 20% off the thing's health.
Next Artemisia seemed to glow for a second before the sky clouded over. Curious the druid watched as the area had been transformed, that hot rock spiting sun seemed to be replaced by by strong winds, snow and ice. It was vicious and hit their enemies, it didn't matter how strong the Sahaugin were, they would be fighting at a disadvantage, they would be slower now and take constant elemental damage. Inhaling a deep breath, the druid activated his Idol skill 'Entralling Performance.' It was a rather useful ability that idols had access to, it allowed the user to learn the bard skill 'Siren solo' which meant that he could sing or hum to activate spells, it also allowed the idol to have access to three bard skills. Pretty darn useful especially now.
Starting to sing, Zyrune couldn't help but be impressed at how could the skill made him appear to be. Several seconds later his allies started to sparkle slightly now that Speed Sword Etude had taken effect. It was one of the three bard spells that he had picked, it granted all nearby party members' attack speeds to rise. That would double the advantage the group now had over the disgusting beasts.
As if knowing they needed help, the barrier seemed to vibrate violently before a figure of a female was thrown inside the barrier as if she had appeared from no where. Yet the as the druid recognized her face, he knew that wasn't possible. Nodding at the woman's request, he quickly sent it along. Unfortunately she had missed out on the Speed sword Etude buff but nevertheless at least she was able to take advantage of the sorcerer's spell. As if knowing she hadn't time to waste, Saskia trust her weapon in the air as she erupted in light. Now at least the rest of them were safe from attacks, however the druid couldn't help but worry how much aggro Saskia could actually take before she would be overwhelmed.
Completely lost on the druid who had been lost in the battle, each of the runes had slowly started to come alive. As the strong sorcerer's spells had taken hold, it had started to rain, snow and pelt the area and with it the runes. As each rune slowly felt the wet snow touch it's skin, it glowed softly. One by one each rune started to glow if not from the snow that continued to rain down, but by the water left by the enemies as they suffered attack after attack.
Next to attack was the Heretic Xylef and it was the first time that Zyrune had witnessed the class using any such abilities. It seemed that a swirling crystal ball was the adventurer's weapon of choice. He seemed to bind the target in a similar fashion that Zyrune favored, before striking it. Although he had a rather odd looking status that the pink haired half-alv could not understand but needed to, making a mental note to ask him about it later, he nodded at the heretic's suggestion, however before he could respond the monsters let out a snarl.
Finally as each run glowed softly a hue of a different colour the area shook with great purpose. The shriek and roar of a loud explosion startled the group within the clearing. The ground beneath them shook violently as if the Isle Of Grain itself was angry at such a battle had taken place. The barrier seemed to sparkle as if it was composed of lightening until finally the ground gave way and each of the adventurers plummeted into the darkness below. They might not have been aware, but the Sorcerer had accidentally solved the temple's first puzzle. Each rock could not glow unless it touched water of some kind whether it be from a snow spell or from the horde of Sahaugin and their water based attacks.
As the ground gave away each adventurer fell down a rather complex and winding crudely constructed slide of sorts until at least they and a handful of the demi beasts had been thrown into a dark, damp room. The smell of the sea was overwhelming and it was fair to assume they in the depths of the Temple Of Tides. the ground was covered in water and aquatic plant life that tended to grow in such areas. Despite being able to see due to a small light source of fluorescent coral, the room was plunged in darkness.
"Wha-" The druid gasped as falling rock rocked towards him. For a spilt second he watched it wide eyed, only managing to snap out of it and jump to the side as the rock connected with the ground. Zyrune doubled over, gasping for air. Slowly he managed to collect himself just enough to cast magic light to provide the adventurers with some type of adequate light. As the light illuminated the room somewhat, he could make out figures on the edge of the room. The handful of beasts that had made the journey with them seemed to be at the edge of the room, struggling to their feet, behind them stood a rather old looking door.
"Not the time to rest guys!" The druid order while holding his palm out before him. Within seconds a ball of flames formed within his hand and he savored its heat for a moment before tossing it towards the group of beasts hoping to cause some damage before they had gathered themselves.

As he thought, none of them had time to do any research on the area before they started the quest, which meant they’d have to do without. Normally, Shuwen was much more cautious then this. The fact he hadn’t died yet wasn’t due to skill or superior tactics, though those did play a role. The main reason he hadn’t died yet was his caution. He usually ran when faced with a superior force, and rarely engaged in a straight up fight when he could help it, preferring ambushes and one-sided slaughters in his favor. As someone who normally solo’d he lacked strength in this world, and he compensated for it by playing the part of a mouse
For some reason not all of them wanted to go into the temple. Shiki and Barry didn’t seem to want to go in just yet for some reason, though the monk failed to ascertain why. Had they lost their nerve? Were they not happy with the conditions for doing so? Either way, it looked like they’d be going on without them. Fortunately, they were shortly joined by another higher-level player, another guardian named Saskia. He didn’t know what she was doing there, but he seemed to know Zyrune, which made her reinforcing the group seem to be a matter of course. I really need to get to know more people here. He thought, conveniently forgetting about his ADHD.
As the battle began, everyone feel into their class appropriate role; the magic classes stuck to the back row and supported or attacked from the rear, the guardians stood up front. Since they already had two tanks, Shuwen was put primarily into a damage per second role, rather then that of a tanker. He kept the one he was fighting busy, but not beyond that. Fortunately, Zyrune wasn’t as tied up; at one point in the fight, he used a root spell to bind the highest level Sahagin, then struck it with a damaging magic attack. It didn’t help quite as much as Shuwen would have liked; binding it’s feet didn’t stop the jets of water coming at him periodically, but at least it meant he wasn’t forced into a melee with it, allowing him to focus on the other two.
During the fight, his question went mostly unanswered, except for Xylef. Who deduced it was probably a puzzle section even as he gave the monk some support, though he had no idea how to solve it.
That said, something about what they did seemed to have solved it without them even realizing it. The runes started growing brighter, until even Shuwen noticed despite his battle-focused state. He also noticed the floor under them disappearing. Whoooooo a slide! He thought energetically. He looked around at the others to see how they were doing. Oh, wait, what are they doing here? Instead of disappearing as they moved onto the next section, he saw several Sahagin shapes mixed up with them. I guess they came too? Better do something about that then. First, he regained some control over his body by sitting up and leaning back, keeping his center of gravity close to the slide underneath him. He then started steering by leaning back and fourth. It wasn’t a perfect solution, but at least he wasn’t tumbling around or moving entirely at the slide’s whim. Now then, to take care of one of these guys…. He found himself briefly sliding next to the level 10 Sahagin, the one that was down to about half it’s HP, and he promptly grabbed at it. Apparently the fish men’s slippery scales made it harder for it to regain any control over itself, so there wasn’t much it could do at the time. Grabbing it by the scruff of the neck, he pushed it’s face against the slide, slowing them both down a bit and steadily decreasing the monster’s HP. When they finally reached the bottom, Shuwen made sure to spin it around a bit, making it so the fish would cushion his fall. "OOOf!" A wet slimy cushion is better then no cushion I guess. He thought has he landed. He ended up knocking the fish’s weapon out of it’s hand with a well-placed strike to the wrist, then after a little scrambling around, put the monster in an armbar, which continued to steadily reduce it’s HP. “Can you deal with the other guys?” He asked, trying to stay polite despite his current condition. “I’m a bit tied up at the moment.”

Artemisia watched with concern as her mana gauge slowly slipped lower and lower. Each moment she kept the area of effect spell active, another tick of her mana dropped off. She had stumbled upon this quest of sorts on accident, leaving her a little short of some of the necessary potions and items she would have liked to have. She had some things on her, but this constant drain on her mana was going to be one of her biggest challenges. She scanned the battle with her green eyes, each one was fighting and doing their best against the water monsters. Somehow, a new person had appeared and joined them along the way but she didn't have time to concern herself with that. As the fight continued and her snow storm raged over the area, the ground beneath her feet began to rumble again. Artemisia grit her teeth together and narrowed her eyes, wondering just what would be coming at them now. Wasn't this swarm of monsters enough to deal with already? As if to answer her, the ground beneath her small feet crumbled and gave way. For a moment, she felt as if she hovered in the air, watching the scene in slow motion, before her body sank quickly down into the dark. The blonde sorceress squeaked in shock, her blizzard spell cutting off in her surprise. It was a rather embarassing sound to have made, she hoped no one else in the party had heard her. With a thump, she landed on something solid, sending a little shock wave of discomfort up her back. Her body began sliding, slipping down what appeared to be a tunnel like slide. The slide was slick, letting her petite body slip down it easily. She could hear the sounds of the other adventurers tumbling down the slide with her... and also what sounded like several of the monsters they were fighting before. The light was dim but she was just barely able to see the ground rapidly approaching. Instead of adding herself to the eventual pile of limbs at the bottom, Artemisia quickly cast her spell Blink. Her body flashed and disappeared just before she would have reached the bottom. She reappeared a few feet away from the end of the slide, kneeling in a shallow puddle of cool water. The smell of salt was intense, so she had to assume she was crouching in sea water. She squinted her eyes, trying to get her bearings in the dim dungeon. Fortunately, a moment later Zyrune composed himself and cast a magic light. Four of the Sahaugin had tumbled down with them, one of which was the higher leveled Brute version. She heard the Druid call for action, telling them to continue the fight. Artemisia stood, the water up to her ankles. As before, her target would continue to be the highest leveled among the monsters - the level thirty Brute. The Sahaugin seemed slightly disoriented, having tumbled down the slide the same as they had. She saw Zyrune take the opportunity to launch off an attack, so she did the same. " We need to finish them off quickly, they have an advantage in water," Artemisia was referring to the passives Moist Skin, which allowed the monsters to slowly regen health, as well as Aquatic Celerity, which increased the monsters speed, both effects which took place when the Sahaugin were fighting in water. She wasn't entirely sure if the shallow waters here would be enough to let it take effect but it was certainly better to assume it would. " Orb of Lava!" She sorceress launched off her bouncing fire ball attack, aiming it directly into the face of the Sahaugin Brute. It was one of her most veristile skills, allowing her to attack multiple targers from a safe distance. The ball of flame would seek out all enemies in the area but would avoid anyone she called an ally. --- Notes: Probably typos... I didn't run this through a spell checker or anything this time. Words: 655 Tags: Zyrune, Shuwen, Saskia, xylef, @whoever else is still in this thread Spells Used: Blink: - Sorcerer Class, Tier I Skill - A short range teleportation technique often employed by the Sorcerer for emergency escape. The Sorcerer jumps in a direction and teleports about 1-5 meters away in the desired position. The only downside is that the teleportation distance is very haphazard and might actually not move you very far. Still, it's a useful means of misdirection especially when you're up against only one enemy. This skill has a casting time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 5 seconds. Orb of Lava: - Sorcerer Class, Tier I Skill - A ranged Fire-element magic that hurls a fist-sized orb of lava onto enemies. This lava ball bounces across enemy targets, dealing damage on impact. Since this skill is Fire-based, this is very effective against enemies weak against fire. One well-known trait of this skill is that it does not affect allies during combat, making it a popular skill among players. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 20 seconds.

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________
The steel-clad warrioress had absorbed a lot of aggro from her. The adrenaline surged through her as she stormed the battlefield like a wild Valkyrie. She knew she had to intercept the two level 30 brutes quickly or things could get ugly for some of the members of the team. She was glad that the awesome druid healer she had met during a cavern mission was there to help keep people alive and allow her to sustain her health while engaging the enemy in close quarters combat.
The Wolf hair’s eyes erupted into volcanic golden orbs as she charged forward on her horse and skewered a Sahaguin Brute with her spear, dealing a moderate amount of damage. However, the Sahaguins were more than equipped to handle mounted knights with their long tridents that had no trouble reaching her from high up on her perch.
She got struck in the left side of her ribs by the three pronged spear and her body jerked to the right. These Sahagin Brutes hit like a ton of bricks and she knew from the pain that they were not to be trifled with.
As she retracted her spear from the other Brute, she saw it launch a counter strike by slamming the shaft of the spear across her chest, which made her wince in pain as the echo from the vibrations of her steel armor rattled from the strike.
As she gripped the reins and tried to tug at them for a subtle retreat to pull the tougher mobs further away from the group, she noticed the runes light up with an eerie hue and the temple soon started to shake and shiver. She knew whatever it was, it couldn’t be good.
Icarus neighed wildly as his head twisted about in fear as Saskia’s heart collapsed from the sensation of yet another unexpected drop.
“I hate this freaking plaaaaaceee!” Saskia shouted as she wrapped her arms around the steed neck as the hooves smacked along the base of the slide. The steel from the horseshoes began to spark as they slid down the surface and Saskia began to feel like she was on a crazy rollercoaster while on top of the horse.
The warhorse kept shuffling his feet trying to gain some sense of traction, but the momentum kept steadily increasing. When they finally hit the bottom, the strong force cause a violent ejection as Saskia was hurled forward from her horse. As she flailed helplessly in midair, her body toppled over in the murky waters as she landed face first.
The splash from the water washed over her as the liquid started to seem into her steel plate armor and the muddy residue was caked over her face and ruined her hair. As she got up, water went into her nos and she coughed roughly and kept rubbing her irritated nose.
Blinking her eyes a few times to take in her surroundings, she noticed that her Long spear had dissolved since she was no longer on her horse.
Manually bringing up her menu in the short window of time she had, she produced a Stratford Steel Arms Longsword.
She could barely see in the darkness, so she shouted to check on the other members.
“Everyone okay!?!”
She heard a few voices and one familiar one shouted as he caught sight of enemy forces after lighting up the area with a spell.
Already taking notice of the blue haired monk taking the charge and the blonde sorceress who commanded the elements destructive force of nature, Saskia eyed the biggest target on the field and rushed valiantly at it with her shield pressed forward and her sword hovering above her shield in a defensive stance. She activated her [Taunting Shout] on the large Sahaguin brute and attracted it’s attention.
However, she also manipulated her war horse, Icarus, to intercept the brute by rushing towards it and assaulting it with a mighty rearward kick. The burning Sahagin shrugged off the blow and thrust his spear into Saskia’s thigh with amazing speed. Saskia felt her knee buckle under her weight and she took a few steps back gritting her teeth.
She kirted around the side of it, to make it's back face the rest of her allies.
"Okay, feel free to flank and spam attacks from behind. I don't know if it has any AOEs, but you shouldn't have to worry above any cone attacks from the front. "
Saskia raised her voice so the others could hear. She felt that communication would be really important during the duration of the fight.

Spells Used: Willow Spirt Splitting Fang Cure Bloom
| Artemisia's graceful hands lifted before her slim body, and her pony tail's billowed outward and twirled about her face. Great sparks of red light flowed in cascades from her hands, until an orb formed within her grasp. The druid noticed her body tighten for a moment, her hair, her clothes swaying for a moment as magic enveloped her being, before the ball shot forward striking the highest level beast first, then ricocheting to the nearest beast and then the next. Each one screaming in pain as it was burned alive, the weaker two exploding into clouds of anima bubbles as a result of the high level damage that was dealt, however the brute remained.
As if working in perfect synchronicity with the mage, the pink haired guardian charged forward on her mount doing some quick damage to the beast before it struck her and hard. The water beneath her body mixed with the blood that poured from her leg where the spear had pierced her skin.
"Willow Spirit." The druid watched as the vines erupted from the water beneath the foul creature's feet, roping around it's body with ease. As the beast tried to free itself from the dozens of vines that ensnared it's body, the half alv raised his staff, focusing the energy around him keeping his eyes trained on his target. Trusting his staff downward, it erupted in a white blast that shot forward, sliding across the ground until it and the beast dissipated, leaving behind it small bubbles of anima drifting upward in the air.
For a moment all sound had been stolen except the sound of the water dripping from the ceiling above the four. It had been the first moment since they had arrived that the druid had been able to catch his breath, and he intended to savor it, even for a moment. A quick glance around told him that everyone was either low on mp or lacking in health, especially the guardian whose leg still bled somewhat.
Taking a moment to summon the interface, he searched his inventory for some mana potions, quickly tossing one to Artemisia before moving to the guardian's side. He didn't have many potions at all, in fact he only had one left after that, so he needed to use it wisely. Letting the woman take rest for a moment, Zyrune held his hand out towards the woman's leg, trying his best to ignore how badly it looked as he cast a healing spell on the wound. "Cure Bloom."
The warm gleam of healing magic reflected on the water as it wrapped around the woman's leg. "I'm glad you could join us." The woman seemed to have a penchant for finding trouble but not once did she seem to let it beat her. It was strange how silent everything appeared to be, the growing darkness that seemed to echo from the behind the large door only seemed louder somehow.
"Looks like the rest never made it down." The druid sighed as the woman's leg begun to heal. "Nothing we can do about it now I suppose." He pursed his lips into a frown, it worried him that half of their numbers had already been removed due to the temple's tricks and the fact that they were unsure what had happened to the rest made him uneasy, however it had left only the strong party members, rounding off the team.
Letting Saskia rest for a moment, he rose and cast a quick glance at Shuwen and Artemisia making sure they were okay, before moving to inspect the large door that stood between them and their goal. Rubbing a hand over his face, the half alv tried to calm himself. The damp salt saturated air pressed against him and the soft glow of his magic light hovering nearby only seemed to remind him of how they were stuck inside one of the many chambers within the temple. As he stood before the door, he couldn't help but wonder if other adventurers had come here, or if this was the first time anyone had ever ventured inside. It was clear the the temple of tides was meant to be visited by adventurers when the world was just a game.
The druid shook away any doubt. The temple was designed to be defeated, the game was meant to be concurred. Their path was an important one, one that at it's conclusion would see many lives free of the danger, a freedom that would come to pass with the death of whatever evil that sat at the depths of the temple.
As he reached for the door, he could feel a shiver of excitement run up his spine. Taking a breath, he pushed it forward and stepped through the threshold and into a chamber that extended out before him. The walls were over grown with the plant life that inhabited such water infested areas, a crystalline blue gleaming under waterfalls of various heights and widths as they splashed into pools below, which trickled into crevices, disappearing to other deeper chambers. Stalactites taunted him from above and threatened his steps, the loud beating of water filled the air. The druid took another step forward to decide how to cross to the other side, making sure to hold the door open for those behind him.
To decorate the ceiling of the circular room there hung a massive chandelier made of what looked like hollowed glass, and within each piece gleamed sapphires that brightened the chamber. One large stone rested at the center of the chandelier and it seemed that the other precious gems had been organized in a precise pattern that would continually reflect its glimmer. The light was dim--unnatural to his human eyes.
Cautiously he moved further into the large room, and a low rumble greeted his ears, a menacing growl. Upon reaction, the druid's heart raced as he turned and sought out the source.
Above him, he heard a sucking and gurgling sound, as if someone were crawling through water while trying to breathe with lungs coated in slime. In the high outcroppings, a dark mass moved about for a moment before falling from it's perch, as if aiming to land on the unaware healer below, giving him only a moment to leap from where he stood, crashing into the ground nearby, landing hard against the marble ground.
The half alv barely had enough time to recover as the mass continued to make that horrible sound. Throwing it a look, he couldn't make it out in the dim light, but it was like a ball of transparent shadows swirling among themselves rapidly, it's movements distorted it's size and it was obvious it was quite used to taking it's prey by surprise. "What the hell!" Zyrune spat scrambling to his feet.
In an instant the cloud of shadows seemed to rise to the ceiling once more, it's place standing like statues were four figures, human dressed in pure black, their bodies black too, as if they were made entirely by shadows, except for their eyes which glowed luminescent red. Each one was eerily familiar. It took a moment, but then it hit him, the figures were exact doubles of his own party. Each one stood like a party ready to attack, holding weapons composed of shadow, each with a blank stare.
Their dark appearance reeked of the presence of sickly death, and their quiet breaths rasped inside the room like the calm whisper of a ghost. Even just standing there, still and solid as stone, they radiated a patient darkness that silhouetted them as if they were the embodiment of the shadow of death itself, as if waiting for their counter parts to make the first move.

Words: 798 While Shuwen was busy with the Sahagin he’d brought with him, the others worked together to finish off the other mobs. Their approach was orthatdox and straight forward, and was all the more effective for it. Zyrune used a root spell, Saskia grabbed their attention and hit their front line, while @sugarygiggles hit the biggest one with Orb of Lava again. Quite frankly, they managed to finish off their opponents more quickly then Shuwen’s armbar would finish off the Sahagin he’d pinned, despite having a head start. I guess I’ll need to finish this the hard way. He let go of the Sahagin and rolled to his feet. Having lost it’s weapon, the fishman tried to punch him, but the Monk was more then prepared for that. He deflected the blow by hitting the side of the fishman’s wrist, grabbed it’s outstretched arm, then threw it over his shoulder. Knocking it off it’s feet again. As it tried to get up, he started stomping on it repeatedly, getting in three more hits before it was ready to attack again. By that point, it’s HP was at zero, and it disappeared before it had a chance to retaliate. I guess that’s that. “Sorry it took so long”, he apologized quickly to the other party members, Zyrune was busy healing the damage Saskia had taken, so he wasn’t entirely sure they heard him, but no matter. Once the fight was over, he took a look at their surroundings. For some reason it looked like several of them had vanished from the group, either killed or separated. He hoped it was the latter. Even though that really ought to have bothered him, for some reason it didn’t. At least I don't have to put up with Barry's singing any longer. “Well, if they get lost, I guess they can always use Call of Home to get out of here. I think.” He then went on to inspect his own damage. Even though Monks didn’t have a large MP pool, most of their skills took a relatively small amount of mana to use, so he was fairly safe in that regard. The hits he took earlier brought his HP down to around eighty or ninety percent, so he was still doing fine as long as they weren’t ambushed by an Assassin or something equally difficult. Once everyone was ready to continue, they moved on. After passing through a large door, they found themselves in what appeared to be some kind of ballroom, complete with an overly ornate chandelier. The Monk’s eyes narrowed. “Time for a boss fight.” He said alloud, as much to himself as to everyone else. The game designers wouldn’t make a room in such a dungeon so large unless there was going to be either a large puzzle or a major fight there. Due to the lack of obstacles, Shuwen was expecting the latter. Feeling his nerves become tight, he toggled on the Hearing Aptitude skill, in case they were going to be ambushed. Sure enough, as soon as they started moving toward the inner section of the room, they heard a growling noise reverberate. A dark shrouded mass came down from above them, almost hitting Zyrune. Not sure whether to attack yet or not, the Monk drew one of his throwing needles. Before he could though, it seemed to fade upwards, replaced by four rather familiar figures. “A doppelganger battle?” He asked, seeing if any of the other adventurers thought otherwise. In that case, it would probably be best to take out the magic users first, if they could. Shuwen threw the throwing needle in hand, he'd taken aim at Artemisia’s double, hoping to reduce the enemy group’s damage output early, but he was intercepted by his counterpart, who used Rafting Taunt to change his target, then promptly began to circle around to avoid the projectile. " He's trying to tempt us into attacking recklessly. Zyrune, try to root my double; we’ll have a devil of a time trying to hit it if you don’t." Shuwen couldn’t tell if his counterpart had Shuwen’s real-life skills in addition to his class abilities, at least not yet, but either way, he was probably going to be a pain. Instead of attacking right away, Shuwen drew another throwing needle and made like he was going to throw it at his copy again, as before, his double quickly sidestepped in an attempt to dodge it, but Shu was only faking it. Let’s see, Rafting Taunt doesn’t usually last very long, so I should be able to attack the magic-users again before long, but they’ve got that Saskia double; I doubt it will let us do so before we bring it down. He quickly looked around to see what the other doppelgangers were doing.

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________
Chaos ensued after the downfall of the Sahagin Brute tyrants were felled by the masterful spells conjured by the luscious pink haired beefcake Druid on the field. An entanglement of vines soon wrapped around his target and rendered any attempts of escape to be utterly worthless under the web of green ropes. It was blown asunder by the fury of Zyrune’s spell that weaved through the earth and shattered against the beast’s side before it erupted into anima shards. The bubbles floated skyward serenely as the group began to think that the worst was finally over.
However, the prelude to shock and hysteria had just begun. They were all given a brief window for some rest and relaxation as they caught their breath and the Druid took some time to tend to Saskia’s wounds. It felt like her leg was burning. An odd sensation when mixed with the coldness of the draft that breezed through the temple. As Zyrune cast his spell, she began to feel her thigh lose the sensation of heat and start to feel more numb. She harbored a deep breath and tried to calm herself from the fact that her leg just got skewered by some walking fish demon. Zyrune helped by offering casual conversation on the side with a sunny smile, thouh she knew he was just as concerned as the rest of the lot, given his sigh.
“Yeah, when my sister told me all that seafood was going to go straight to my thighs. I didn’t know it was going to drive a freaking spear in my leg!” Saskia chuckled. “Being a tnk sucks...I want to switch classes. Take me the back of the lines please. This meat shield life is for the birds.”
Saskia burst into a fit of unrestrained laughter as her terrible masochistic humor began to show.
“You know...I mean it’s fun on screen when you see your guy do it and he seems all badass, but when you start living it, every battle is like a freaking nightmare!”
Saskia grinned mischievously as a trail of pink hair dangled from her forehead as she turned to check out the monk finishing off his opponent.
“Nice armbar, you learn that here or back in the real?” She asked before continuing on.
“I’m just glad someone brought a freaking light. This place is seriously giving me the creeps. What’s next ghosts are going to start popping up from the floors?” She scoffed as she shrugged her shoulders and glanced around at her surroundings.
Her light chuckle turned into a concerned frown of despair as she looked like a miserable girl that wanted to cry as the swirl mass began to emanate an eerie noise and shift it’s form into the uncanny, yet devious figures.
“Pfft, somebody call the fashion police. Look at their Zy, he doesn’t even know how to dress. They are making my Zy look like some loser emo kid. They ruined his luscious pink hair! This is a crime against fashion! Don’t worry Zy we’ll make sure this cosmetic tragedy never sees the light of day!” Saskia shouted as she pointed her spear towards the other druid, then cut her eyes towards her evi twin Guardian.
“And you my dark chocolate candy coated queen...where the hell is your gallant steed? I mean if you’re going to be a knockoff at least do it right!”
She scolded as she shook her head.
“Well, looks like it’s four against three guys. I’m betting my chips on us tonight! It’s time to start the hunger games. May the odds be forever in your favor!” Saskia beamed with delight as she swatted her spear at her enemy.
It seemed that the monk was the first one to initiate combat as his counterpart sprung to life in retaliation. A boisterous taunt was shifted his way making him focus his fire on the nimble demon, but it seamed that what Saskia loved about monks evasiveness, she was now going to hate.
So many options poured through her head. She squinted sharply as different tactics began to funnel and swivel around in her mind.
She considered Shuwen’s option, but after much consideration she had an tried to formulate an idea of her own.
“Okay, we definitely got to gank the healer or this is going to be a knockout drag out battle for a long time. But, they can use taunts and cover to protect the healer. Which means....freaking hell! I hate chess!” Saskia let out a disgusted grunt. “ Screw it, let’s wing it! C’mon Icarus!”
She stampeded towards the Guardian and activated two of her toggle abilities. [Cool Defense] and [Knight’s Heart] just as she was midway through charging she saw a blue veil illuminate around the Guardian who maintained her stance.
That cocky little harlot...she’s trying to set me up, think I don’t know when someone’s trying to use a [counter break] to turn my own move against me? Let’s see how she likes it when I force her to use cover to protect her Healer!
Saskia snatched the reins to the left and darted for the pink haired Druid with a wicked grin on her face, but the expression was short lived when she her a sinuous voice shatter her eardrums with a unfortunate announcement.
“ANCHOR HOWL!”
An eerie red circle illumanted the field around Dark Saskia and she had turned Saski’as speed against her as she had no time to stop herself from galloping out of bounds. Both her and her horse were smacked with a seering pain as they tried to leave the circle.
With a violent neigh and a heavy growl from the horse’s rider. Saskia turned her head slowly and let out a string of curses too vicious for virgin eyes to read. Her eyes burned brightly into a murderous golden glaze as she dug her eyes into those scarlet stones of her opponent’s as she rushed her in a bloody rage shouting out her own vicious command.
“Anchor Howl!”
Intertwined with the swirling circle of red aura was her own aura that danced in those same flames while flickering with wisps of cerulean blue.
“Now that we set up the arena. It’s time to welcome you to the rodeo!” Saskia smirked as galloped alongside the Dark Saskia and bashed her with her shield. Her counterpart had activated Counterbreak, but Shield Smash had the clever method of interrupting skills, so it overrided her opponents counter break.
“Yeah, how’d you like that shield in your face!” Saskia taunted roughly as she skirted around the lone swordsman.
