Appearance In Elder Tales Parasole appears to be a petite (just under 4.9) teenage girl with long burgundy hair, usually tied back into some form of ponytails. Clothing wise Parasole wears a light brown shirt, white shirt with red bow tie and a light grey sleeved jumper with a red sports jacket over it, she also wears knee high blue socks and plain black shoes. In reality her real life counter part is quite different. Vance is a tall lean but built young adult about 6'2. He has a slight tan to his body but also messy wavy red hair that likes to throw backwards. He normally wears the latest fashions but nearly always wears things that are way too tight or bright. | Personality Vance is an incredibly enthusiatic person who is easy going and refreshingly friendly with people however he can be strict at times and can be easily angered. Since becoming stuck inside the world of Elder Tales, it has been hard to not only adjust to a much smaller and weaker body, but also to adjust to an entire gender change. Despite the major change, Vance or Parasole or both is self confident and knows that they have what they need to manage during their time within Elder Tales, that is if he can ever adjust to being female. Being gay in real life, Vance never assumed that favoring female characters would result in him actually obtaining a female body, he rather liked being a man and being attracted to men still sometimes causes awkward encounters as he sometimes forgets that he is in a woman's body and when a man shows interest he can fall into a false sense of security. Often he is afraid of people finding out his real gender is male, thinking that people will be disgusted or look down on, so he likes to keep up false appearances of being a woman however difficult that it, choosing to look at this as though it is still somewhat a game, Vance [Parasole] will do anything to obtain the rare body changing potion to return to being male, even if that means a year or two in his current female body. |
Extra
Although male in real life, since waking up in Elder Tales as a female, Vance has found his voice changed to a more feminine and girly sound, so unless he has told you or someone had informed you, you won't be able to tell that he is a guy by looking at him.
Biography
From a young age it was clear that Vance was going places, despite constantly having his head filled with dreams, he always kept his noise to to mirror and performed top of class. However he never tried on purpose to be that way, it just seemed to come naturally to him. That also helped draw people to to tall boy.
He was born to a rather middle class family with an older brother who was 2 years ahead of him, he also has two younger brothers and two younger sisters, however the youngest sister was a complete surprise to both himself and his family. Being from such a large family you would think that he never got any time alone, however this large family seemed to allow the boy some peace and quite from his hectic popular lifestyle. Vance was never shy of invitation or an offer to hang out. While his brother had a clear want and need for mathematics, Vance decided to go the business route, taking maketing as a side course and instead of relying on his family, he also managed to work evenings in a relatively small comic shop one or two hours after college that allowed him to pay his own way in college. However his dad often worked long hours and with his brother and mother working too, the tall boy often found himselves minding his younger siblings. This is were his love of games came from. His father had a love for nintendo software and even had loads of the older consoles in boxes upstairs.
Many a late afternoon were spent playing his father's old favourites with his siblings, Vance often favored female characters. It was clear from a young age that he wasn't interested in woman even coming home one day from school when he was six to proudly annouce to his mother that he had a crush on a young boy at school. Unlike most parents of that time, the woman had simply smiled and accepted her son from that day on, never once questioning or doubting him, his father too didn't seem to have a problem with it, niether did anyone in school, besides if they did, they quickly found themselves on the outside of the popular circle looking in.
Throughout college his game tastes widened and he quickly convinced several of his friends to play gaming sessions with him, often coordinating their efforts over voice chats. That brings us to the present, while he had played Elder Tales before, he had never experienced a game so new that the internet or a friend had spoiled it. So when the expansion and release of the unfounded kingdom was annouced he jumped at the chance making sure to inform his friends who quickly agreed to join the new server. However during character customization, he stuck to his preferred gender role. He only did so because he liked female characters, very few games had interesting armor for male characters or even gay plots, however if he had known that he was about to become the character hours later, he would chosen male and made sure to spend ages making each change to the characters appearance.

Martyr Spear
Tier I Skill
One of the cleric's few offensive options. This spell causes a spear of light to appear in the air above the cleric. After the spear is ready, the cleric points at a target. The spear will promptly head towards the target's position at a high velocity and strike the opponent with light-elemental damage. While this skill has a decently long range, it becomes naturally easier to dodge the farther away the opponent is. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds and a cooldown time of 20 seconds.

Summon Follower - Phantom
Tier I Skill
Spirit-type Darkness elemental follower. The Summoner calls forth a ghost-like servant that has low attack power but high evasion and magic resistance. This entity has a number of forms but usually appears as a miniature reaper-like creature with a violet cloak-like body and a simplified skull-like face. It is effective for diverting attention and performing recon duties. Phantom's personality type is Docile toward its Summoner and Curious toward all enemies. This follower takes 2 seconds of cast time to summon.
Miracle Mine
Tier I Skill
A light-elemental spell. After performing this spell, the ground beneath the player's current position will light up with a white glow. If an opponent were to step on this aura, it immediately reacts and strikes the target with a bright small-scale explosion. Alternately, the user can trigger a manual activation by snapping their fingers. If multiple mines are present, they will be triggered based on the order they were set. After about five minutes, the mine will naturally dissipate on its own, however. This skill has a casting time of 1 second and a cooldown time of 5 seconds after placing a mine.

Summon Follower - Sylph
Tier I Skill
Fairy-type Wind elemental follower. Sylph is a small fairy-like creature that looks like a jolly girl. She is able to attack with a magical wind that knocks back enemies. She can summon a healing breeze that heals allies for a minor amount and removes a debuff. She is Friendly to her Summoner and Wary toward all enemies. This follower takes 2 seconds of cast time to summon.
Reactive Heal
Tier I Skill
The Cleric's starting restorative skill and regarded as the Cleric's signature skill. Unlike Heal that immediately restores hit points at once, Reactive Heal requires the target to receive damage to trigger this skill's effect. Reactive Heal's effectiveness in combat relies on the caster's level and the level of the skill itself, but it does not require the Cleric to focus on a single ally like in Heal, allowing the "Heal Walk" tactic to be employed. When activated, the ally becomes wrapped with a warm orange light as a visual effect. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown time of 15 seconds.

Tongue of Nature
Tier I Skill
It's often said that certain people seem to have an affinity toward interacting with nature and communicating with animals. With this skill, the Adventurer's natural affinity is idealized into a tangible form. While this toggle skill is active, the character will be able to communicate with animals and monsters. Incoming speech by monsters will appear as subtitles at the bottom of the user's vision. There is a huge variance between being able to notice this effect and actually using it effectively, however. "Nice to meet you" is not the same thing as "Look, fresh meat", for example. At lower levels, the user of this skill will very often mishear monsters' speech and mispronounce their own words, mistakes that might cause hostility if used incorrectly. However, as the user gradually gains experience, they will be able to negotiate with monsters more easily. The Animal Trainer, Fisherman, Druid classes are more aligned with the power of nature and thus higher success rates are gained if the user is one or more of these classes. Monsters at a lower level compared to the user's highest class level also are easier to communicate with.
Tier I Skill
Despite a Warrior class's bulky appearance, their agility in the midst of battle can sometimes be very surprising. When an ally is about to be targeted by an attack, this skill allows the character to switch places with the target and take the force of the attack. It can also be activated in response to an area of effect attack, taking all the damage from affected party members onto oneself. Obviously, as good as the character's reflexes may be, this requires that the ally be in very close proximity. This skill has a maximum range of 3 meters, an animation time of 1 second, and a cooldown of 15 seconds. If used by a character other than a Warrior-based class or Warden, the cooldown is doubled to 30 seconds.
Graveyard Walk
Tier I Skill
Graveyard Walk is a slightly peculiar spell that channels spiritual energy into the vessels of active followers. This skill is used by the Summoner to increase the damage of Spirit Followers' attacks at the cost of a slight decrease in hit-rate. During the duration of this skill, the follower will be less responsive to the Summoner's commands and will prioritize on offensively defeating its enemies. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds, a duration of 30 seconds, and a cooldown of 40 seconds.
Healing Light
Tier I Skill
Heals injuries by shooting a white light with a hexagram shape from one's fingertips. The amount of HP it heals is small compared to Heal, but it generates minimal Hate and only consumes a small amount of MP, as well as having short casting and cooldown times. It can be used to heal minor wounds and emergency healing, and is often used alongside primary restoration spells to supplement one's healing capabilities. In large-scale battles where many Clerics are organized, Healing Light can be "showered" on a single tank. Because of its utility, players regardless of level are dependent on the use of this skill. Among its popular nicknames are "Do Your Best Heal" and "Crossroad Heal". This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown time of 8 seconds.

Death Scythe
Tier I Skill
An attack that allows the summoned Spirit-type Follower to attack physical targets while inflicting poison damage and slight defense debuffs on contact. Alternately, if no Spirit-type Follower is currently active, this skill summons one of these Followers for a split second in order to deliver a single arc-shaped horizontal slash in front of the user, without any other effects. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds, a duration of 60 seconds, and a cooldown time of 75 seconds. If it is used without an active Spirit-type Follower, the cooldown time becomes 15 seconds instead.
Equipment Mastery: Swords
Tier I Skill
Passive. An Adventurer skill that provides weapon proficiency of both one-handed and two-handed swords. Normally, classes that are incompatible with certain types of weapons suffer damage and accuracy penalties when using the weapon in question. Possession of an equipment mastery skill negates this penalty for that specified weapon type. Generally, there are reasons behind why certain classes focus on certain weapon types. Taking this skill provides some level of versatility, but be warned that some of your main class skills might prove incompatible with this new fighting style. This skill does nothing if the character's class is already able to use both types of swords normally.
