Saskia continued to munch like a starved out human being which was only amplified by her wolf hair ears twitching in a happy animated manner as she nibbled on her lunch. He spoke of how the meal was prepared as a few samples by a chef other than him. He lifted the sandwich away from her lips and frowned.
“Oh yeah, that’s right, you said you were a woodcrafter, didn’t you...speaking of which, you mind helping me and Bailin with our furniture issue after this? We really could use the help! The damn house is empty and well, I’ve been sleeping in an inn ever since, but he...he sleeps on the floor in that house. It kind of sucks..seeing as he does lead a lot of the adventures and expeditions for the guild.” Saskia muttered.
She then noticed that she kept up that habit of his when it came to rubbing her lips. That was it. She had to know. She pursed her lips out to ask him about it, but only silence fell out as she hesitated and then decided against.
She listened to him tell stories about his life in the real world and how fun and casual of a life he lead.
“Haha, oh really?” She said with a glimmer of fascination in her eye. “Well, I bet you used to drink people under the table then!” Saskia chuckled as she took a swig from her own flask. “Maybe one of these days I’ll bring you by ‘The Drunken Druid’. It’s a bar in St. Pancreas Station. Maybe then we’ll get to test how good you are at handling your liquor. Maybe I’ll end up drinking you under the table!” Saskia boasted as she returned her lips to the flask and let out a soothing sigh.
“Depth perception? Why? What’s wrong?” She decided to ask since he had mentioned the ailment now. In the back of her mind, she really wanted to know what was going on with his eyes. It was far too odd of a gesture for him to keep messing around with it every five seconds.
Saskia then gazed up as the bats flew above and she winced at them with a slight cry and holding the hilt of her sword tightly as she picked it up from the ground in case they were hostile. She hesitated however when the man beside her offered one a fruit in exchange for his services.
“Wow, you really do have some talent. Not only do you command the spirits of the earth but the animals of nature as well. I’m impressed!” Saskia exclaimed. “I see what you did there...rounded us up a little spy, eh? Well, let’s see what info the little guy has managed to dig up.”
Saskia rosed to her feet and dusted herself off. She took a glance down the hall. So...I wonder what kind of trap we should expect from it. Do you think we should use the golem to set it off....or should I try to give it a go myself?” Saskia asked, wanting to know his opinion on the subject matter. After all, it was his pawn.

Summoner - Animal Handler - Woodcrafter

Raef pondered her question about the wood crafting a bit before giving his response. "I wouldn't mind trying to work on my Woodcrafting, mind that my work is not going to be high, at least not until I get more experience, but I think I can make basic furniture like stools, tables and beds." It would be beneficial for him to learn how to craft wood, if he was correct then he could use wood craft not just for making furniture and buildings but for something a bit more advanced. But he had to learn and level his Sub-Classes more before he enacted his ideas.
At her query about his eye he twitched a little before looking to the side a little, obviously uncomfortable about the question."I do not like to talk about it, perhaps some other time." He clutched his staff a bit harder, not wanting to get too driven into his painful memories of how his left eye was destroyed a few years ago, the memories were very, very painful.
Shaking his head a little he cleared out his thoughts of the past and looked towards the chamber, the bat was relaying its information of the chamber and for him and Saskia appeared the blurry outlines of five figures before they cleared out to reveal four regular goblins, level 2, and a level 4 [Goblin Shaman].
The shaman looked like a small bloated troll from the way the four other goblins were carrying it on a makeshift throne of wooden sticks and metal shards. All around them were smaller level 1 goblins hacking at the walls with pickaxes, digging out ore and dragging it in carts towards a crudely made tunnel entrance marked [Goblin Tunnel / Health 100%] above it.
"I count ten level 1 Goblin Diggers, four level 2 regular Goblins and 1 level 4 Goblin Shaman." As his voice carried itself out came a sudden blurbing noise and a screen opened up in front of the two.
[Quest Objectives] (0/1) Destroy Goblin Tunnel (0/1) Kill Goblin Shaman (0/10) Kill all Diggers (Optional)
It was the first time I had seen a quest objective so he was a bit stumped until he realized what it was. "I have an idea, I will have my golem destroy the tunnel entrance. And I will ask the bat to distract the shaman while that is happening. Then we take out the Shaman before it can do any damage or enhance its allies, then we clear out the rest of the goblins." It was all about getting his golem summoned at the tunnel entrance then asking the bat to distract the shaman until they could destroy the tunnel and then kill the shaman and the rest of the goblins.

Saskia lent him her ear when he spoke of his aspirations of being a practicing carpenter. He admitted that he was no professional in the craft, but that he was open to the idea of helping them with the little project that they had desired to do. It would have been a laborious task and she hoped that he would actual follow through with the idea, for Bailin’s sake.
“Thanks. I really appreciate it. Normally I’d just ask some members of the guild, but whereas we have a lot of other crafters, we don’t really have carpenters. However, with your help. That won’t be a problem. Who knows, maybe even one day we can build that boat of our dreams.” Saskia chuckled.
She wondered what even made him desire to become a woodcrafter, but she figured she would save her questions for later, when he was actually doing the work.
“Well, alright then...so...aren’t you going to accept my friend request first? Otherwise I’d never reach you.” She chuckled as she looked over at him with a wide smirk.
She began to wonder why it was taking him so long to accept her friend request. Did he not want to be friends? That seemed odd, seeing as they spent a good battle together. Maybe she was just thinking too much or maybe he just hadn’t noticed.
Just when she thought maybe he would be comfortable enough to speak about his eye, it would seem her plan backfired and blew up in her face. The man was firm, yet fair as he denied her the level of openness to talk about his ailment. Of course, she couldn’t blame him. Even she had her own skeletons in her closet that she’d much rather keep hidden.
It was crazy how everybody in this world was so secretive. They were all just people wearing a mask in a large sandbox. EVerybody was just trying to hide a part of themselves from the world. Why?
Saskia’s train of thought was broken by the sound of a bat screeching away in the distance. Saskia began to wonder what it is that they were talking about. She had no way of understanding the animal and felt a bit left out about what exactly was going on.
Saskia just followed Raef as they got within eyesight of the enemy. They were advancing like panther’s stalking their prey. As Raef counted out the swarm of targets, and the quest marker appeared. Saskia smirked.
“So, we going in hardmode and taking out all those diggers? Sounds more challenging to me!” Saskia chuckled.
If she was going to spend time doing a low level dungeon, she would have to go the extra mile to feel the rush of a fierce fight. It was all or nothing. She was ready to move on the Summoner’s command.

Summoner - Animal Handler - Woodcrafter
____________________________________________________
Finally Raef realized he had yet to accept Saskia's friend invitation, feeling a bit embarrassed by his lack of attention to such a detail he pressed [Accept] on the projection of the invite. Rolling his neck a little he looked at the goblins ahead before aiming his staff and crouched low, he aimed for the metal of a cart lying by the entrance of the [Goblin Tunnel]. Focusing his power he enacted the chant that would bring forth his summoned servant, firing a green sphere containing the summon pentagram towards the cart.
"Oh Enduring Spirit of Earth, Rise to Defend your Caller."
The cart was struck by the green sphere which then expanded into a pentagram, the cart started to buckle inwardly, like a black hole was located inside it, before it was sucked into itself and shaped into a solid ball of iron which shifted like tinfoil until it had taken the shape of a metal golem, this time not made out of shards but out of buckled metal plates, it looked almost like a humanoid turtle with no head with the shield like shape of the torso's back, the hands still had sharp knife like fingers and knuckles blade though.
With a sudden strike from its powerful limb the golem rapidly struck the support beam of the tunnel's left side and like the crudely made craftsmanship it was made of the beam fell within a few seconds and the tunnel got clogged by a collapsing ceiling. *Attack the Shaman.* With its new order given the golem rushed at the shaman as a small bat suddenly flew down form the ceiling and began to bite and slap the shaman with its wings and fangs. The shaman looked like a screaming child with a nasty bug in its hair as it tried to hit the bat with flailing arms.
Many words could be used to describe a situation, and the one for Raef and Saskia's recently developed situation was plain and simple, battle. The goblins were in a bit of panic, the diggers were running around like frightened ducks while the four warriors, still holding up the shaman, and the shaman were trying to swat the bat. And at the same time came a solid metal golem rushing in from the side, preforming a powerful punch into the shaman's side, sending it off the makeshift throne and onto the ground. The bat circled around the shaman to distract the goblins a bit more before flying off into the darkness of the cave. Raef's control over it had dissolved.
And at the same time had Raef swung his staff at a nearby digger, the creature was not even a fighting mob and a single strike from a mage was enough to kill it. The diggers were easy to hit and kill but Raef had no area of effect spells so he couldn't take them out in one go, though they were running around too much for that to work. Hopefully Saskia would be able to handle the fight while he cleaned out the diggers while supporting her with the golem.

Saskia was pleased to find out that the Fox tail was such a friendly spirit. He was somewhat shy at first, but it seemed that we was finally warming up to her. She enjoyed making another companion in her travels. Saskia always enjoyed the company of friends and this man didn’t seem to be annoying like certain Heretics who shall not be named. He wasn’t a PKer or a thief by any means. He simply wanted to relax and enjoy the game for what it was.
She noticed thathe was very enthusiastic about the features of the quest and especially the loot system as he never let any piece of loot disappear and he always snatched it up right after battle. She began to wonder if maybe he was a bit of a hoarder as it seemed he didn’t bother to differentiate between the quality loot and the junk. Maybe he had plans to sell it all when he got back to the marketplace for some extra gold. However, the time for speculation was over. The inquisitive wolf hair had to get her head in the game. She was the Guardian of this party and it was her turn to lead the charge. Or perhaps not.
She watched in amazement as the grand magi began harnessing his aetherial strength to bring forth another vessel from the collaboration of his surroundings as the cart and other objects reconstructed themselves into the form of a golem. It was amazing. This man could make a weapon out of anything. Saskia envied him. It became apparent that he would become an unstoppable force to be reckoned with if he ever got much stronger and delved deep into the Tier II and the Tier III spells. Saskia began to wonder, if this was his power at level one, what creatures would he be able to unleash at level 90?
He could probably conquer dungeons almost single handedly with the help of the beasts. In hindsight, this made Saskia focus inwardly. Perhaps she too desired this grand power. She made a mental note of it and decided that, in the future she would go on to explore this class for what it was worth and maybe one day become a Summoner herself. However, before she could do that, she had to master herself as a Guardian first.
She flinched back as the loud thunderous boom of the beam fell. Her eyes fell upon her prey. She saw her targeted, unaware of the impending doom that she would unleash upon him. She raced forward and decided to open with a [Taunting shout] attracting the aggro of the [Goblin Shaman], as the Shaman spun his head around, he manifested all her power she could summon into a intricate weav of five grand slices, perfectly executing her [Sword Rain Flurry] technique.
As the other goblins in the chaos emrged from the pandomonium, they rose to protect their shaman and advanced towards the Golem and the Guardian.
With burning defiance in her eyes, she unleashed the torrent of booming vocal chords into a loud warcry.
“Anchor Howl!!!” As she amplified her amount of hate in the room. The had gained the malice of four goblins and the shaman.
They began to swarm at her and smack her with clubs and axes as she vailiantly tried to block any incoming attacks. It was insanity at the max as she boldly attempted to tank all of them at once. She knew she had to keep up the pressure on herself however. She was one of the few sturdy enough to endure the beating, but she would need to be reliefed of the pressure after a while, or things could get nasty.....

The four goblins were fighting the guardian who had brutally cut up their Shaman, said leader was still alive but at more then half its HP gone fro mthe surprise attack of the golem and the guardian. A green glow surrounded the golem after the Guardian shouted out her next technique, Anchor Howl, and then Raef's voice broke over the chaos as he enacted his Golem's sole powerful aggro to make Anchor howl activate.
"Show them the power of the Earth, Guardian Fist!"
The golem's punch cracked into the shaman's unprotected side and a loud wet thuck was heard as the piercing fingers of the golem pierced the shaman's side. Pulling out its arm from the fresh hole it had made i nthe goblin shaman the golem began to rapidly punch the shaman into the ground. Bone, flesh and skin could be heard breaking apart by the unrellenting golem's powerful punches and the goblin shaman had no more time then to gurgle before its HP reached 0 and it burst into a shower of bubbles and coins.
The impact of the attack and the death of the shaman alerted the gobli nwarriors who attacked it, enacting anchor howl to activate, letting Saskia strike the disordered goblins with rapid strikes. Meanwhile after enacting the spell had Raef spun his staff, smashing it into the skull of a second digger, killing it instantly. All the goblin diggers were trying to get past him and out into the tunnel, their picks making 5% damage each time they struck at hi mand he didn't manage to dodge. But only four of the diggers could attack at once.
With a kick to the face of a digger who burst into bubbles Raef got a nasty cut into his left thigh. Swinging his staff like a baseball bat he killed two diggers with a single strike. Only six of the diggers remained now. Scratch that, five diggers remained now after one of the diggers accidentially hit one of its own in a panicked swing, killing it.
The sensation of his weapon impacting the diggers and killing them with one striek felt eerie but Raef was determined to not let a single of the greenskins get out of the mine alive. Using kicks, jabs of his staff and swings of the staff he kept holding the goblins back, after an impact on the head of a goblin he could see the diggers were now reduced to four. Four more hits and the optional objective would be finished, then he would give Saskia direct aid other then using his golem. "Come on you filthy green sacks of mouldy fungi."

The violent bludgeoning by the goblins clubs, would drive the pepto bismol haired warrior into a blinding rage as steel collided against steel in this wide onslaught. She tried her absolute best to fend off against all of the bold strikes by raises her great shield to cover her vulnerable organs, lest they be pierced by a sharp thrust of the blade and thus scoring [Critical Damage] on her.
A spiky steel mace recoiled off her shield as her feet slid bag and she dug into her fearless defensive stance. She flicked her sword to the side and effectively [Parried] an incoming strike as she vilaintly spun around a enemy goblin, throwing him off course.
As a raging orange goblin digger with white face paint lunged at her with dual pickaxes, she enabled her calculating and cunning ability to gain the advantage. Unleashing [Counter Break], she swiped horizontally and smacked the flat of her blade against the cold steel of the goblin diggers weapon as she smacked one of the pickaxes out of his hand.
While she spun behind him, she swept her leg across his ankle, then gripping her blade with both hands she thrust it downward into the creatures spine, before it flailed about and burst into anima shards.
One down. Three more to go.
Saskia thought as she pivoted on her heels and was instantly struck in the side by one of the pickaxes a goblin digger held as his sharp teeth screech at her.
Her glowing golden eyes glowed even more fiercely now, as while having the pickaxe embedded in her side, she decided to share the misery by impaling the beast with her blade.
Diving the cold steel into his chest, she kicked him off as she dissolved into anima. She watched as Raef seemed to be caught in some trouble.
She activated her [Covering] ability, and appeared in front of him as she raised her shield valianty to protect him from the incoming strikes.
“We’re almost ther, Raef! Do not falter! Now’s the time to kick some ass!” She shouted as she pushed the beast back with her shield and then smacked one o them with her [Shield bash] technique.
“Bring it on you ugly sons of bitches! None of you has got a murder in his eye sharp enough to put me down!” She shouted out at the remaining two as she stood in front of Raef with her large bulky great shield.
Her health bar was suffering from the blows from earlier, but she felt confident in their ability to overcome this adversity. After all, how much trouble could two goblins be?

Swirling his staff like a Kong-fu using movie star Raef Blackwood repelled the strikes of the remaining diggers. With rapid succession he struck the first green skinned miner in the face, killing it, before kicking the second in the gut, killing it as well, before taking two strikes from the vicious diggers remaining. He took a golf-club like swing at the last remaining diggers and killed one before kicking the other, killing all of the diggers in the mine.
Grasping his staff he moved forward to help Saskia and used the tip of his staff to trip one of the goblin warriors while kicking another in the back. Both attacks came from behind and surprised the two goblins enough to make them trip forward.
The iron golem then made its début again, its rapid punches had weakened one of the goblins whom Saskia had now slain with her superb swordsmanship. With a mental command from its summoner the golem raised its left leg, its foot shaping into a sharp blade, before it started to stomp up and down into the creature's flesh and bones. The sharp impact of the golem's heavy metal frame would break and crack the goblin's boned and slice open large gashes. Within a few moments of sharp impacts was the goblin dead, bursting into bubbles, and now two goblin warriors remained.
Seeking to end the fight before anyone got overly damaged Raef jumped up onto a goblin's head before jumping off it and onto a ladder a few feet above the fight. He then climbed up to the top of the ladder, to the top of a platform which was hanging next to a smelter. He then looked down at the fight below and invoked his next spell.
"May we trade not just in spirit but in locations as well, Castling!"
Teleporting with his golem replacing his location Raef appeared on the battle below while his construct summon appeared on the platform high above, then the golem leaped off the platform and curled together into a small sized wrecking ball as it fell like a boulder down and with a heavy impact crushed one of the goblins, leaving the last one for Saskia to handle. Though it seemed to have realized that Raef was the one responsible for the golem and had managed to hack a deep gash across his chest with a spike decorated mace.

The animated kung-fu hustle of the magi fox tail seemed a bit cute and adorable as she watched the man work around the goblin with all the intensity of a raging lion on the field of battle. With each vicious swipe of his staff it seemed that he would stave the creatures of buying the girl and the golem just enough time to play their part. She noticed how he made use of every limb in his body as he swirl kicks and bobbed and weaved around critical blows of the goblin horde and their sharp pointy pickaxes.
He made clever use of his environment as was expertly situationally aware as he worked in tandem with the crude beast to bring down the house on the goblin forces below. While he had obliterated most of them. There was a sole survivor among them.
Saskia could see the torment his body was going through after the long wave of combat. It became very taxing on the body as she saw his health bar dwindle below the halfway marker. Saskia snarled at the sight. She felt as if she wasn’t doing her job properly. But of course, it would have been very unwise for her to aggro all ten of the goblins herself. She would have been finished in a matter of seconds.
She was glad that he was able to fend for himself for a while and make great use of the golem in the field. He had shared a great brunt of the damage and now with this lone goblin that was running towards him and preparing to lunge for an attack, she had planned to give him payback for his services earlier.
Her Steel greaves clanked across the ground as her heavy boots struck the inside of the mine. She advanced forth like a charging rhino as her steel collided with the goblin in a violent shoulder tackle, she then pounced on the fiend and then punched it in the face, before slashing her sword at it’s throat. It was a crazed wonder how aggresive the former pop star icon had gotten. Before you would think she wouldn’t hurt a fly. Now she was a tenacious monstrosity to be reckoned with. She kinda liked this new her. He felt very confident and eager to find out what other things she would come to learn about this new persona - Saskia Steelheart.
After the beast that lay on the floor in a pool of it’s own blood turned to anima bubbles. She got up off her weary knees and walked over to Raef with both hands up to give him a double high five.
“Wooo! We did it! And we completed the extra objective! Awwww yeah! Soaking up that EXP!”

Smiling a bit at the Wolfear's cheerful nature Raef awkwardly accepted her double high five. "It was a bit tougher then I excepted but we did finish it rather quickly for being just two people. Though I think we're bothin need of some rest." Taking some time to gather the loot of the killed goblins Raef turned towards the chamber and saw nothing more of interest in the immediate area, at least not from his point of view.
When they found themselves leaving the mines Raef pondered on where the quest giver was located. "I take it we're going to the quest giver to get the quest completed? Or is there a building we visit to do that?" He found himself asking Saskia a lot of things as they walked through the forest, their HP and MP slowly regenerating back to their max amount as they walked, or in Saskia's case rode as her mount was still loyally waiting outside the mine entrance when they exited it.
As his questions died down Raef grew a bit silent, idly rubbing his left eye lid once more, pondering wether to tell Saskia about why he kept touching his left eye. And then decided to do it at least ot get it off his conscious. "You were curious about why I keep rubbing my left eye correct? Well. The truth to be told so have I not had a left eye for around four years until now."
He waited for the information to melt in before he continued, not looking at her for her reaction. "When I went to high school I was attacked by a big group of ten to twenty bullies who beat me up. One of them cut up the left side of my face with a pocket knife, leaving the scar you see and my left eye ruined." Sighing deeply he waited for a few seconds before continuing his tale.
"When I entered this world I had both my eyes and I got nauseous from having my eye back and ended up wandering around waking up only to empty my stomach before falling asleep again after eating something and repeat said pattern again. It kept happening for I do not know how long until I got used to having both my eyes and began to wander out into the forest to get some closure away from open public spaces or large groups. I got a kind of fear for large open public spaces and large groups of people ever since that day four years ago. I keep rubbing my eye because both the scar and the sensation of having a left eye again itches like crazy." The Foxtail then grew silent, awaiting for the Wolfear's reaction to his morbid tale, not one of beds and roses that's for sure.

Saskia chuckled at his goofy movements as he awkwardly returned her energetic gesture. He was possibly not the most social or outgoing person in real life, but Saskia saw past his awkwardness. She listened as he spoke of rest and the weariness in her shoulders inclined her to agree.
“Hell yeah! We sure showed them! They don’t mess with the wolf and the fox tail! We’ll put those animal instincts on them!” Saskia chuckled. “By the way...what is it like having a tail? I bet it feels pretty weird, huh?”
Saskia smiled as her gaze drifted to the man’s fuzzy tail. She almost felt inclined to touch it and see how it feels, but she resisted, thinking about how weird the situation would be. She watched it flutter about while he went on to pick up the loot from the corpses.
She looked away for a moment as she turned away and acte as if she wasn’t ogling at his tail as he spoke about where the quest giver was or if there was a building that they would have to rendezvous at later.
Saskia laughed as she walked with him throughout the wood. “Aye, we must speak with Murdoc the Miner in the village of Blackwood.” She smiled as she rode her horse at a steady gait.
“Have you got to encounter dwarfs yet? I met a drunken monk and I trained one of the cavalier knights in my guild. We may even soon have a mounted knight regiment. That’s going to be so fun. Ha!” She laughed as she looked down at the silent man.
“What’s the matter, Raef?” She asked with a concerned expression.
As the man revealed the nature of what plagued his eye, Saskia’s heart sank.
She felt that such a tragedy at such a young age was a terible thing to bear witness to. The sheer violence in the old world - the real world - was nowhere near as forgiving as these lands with their restoration magics and their cathedrals.
“Well...maybe it’s a bit of a blessing and it will take some time to get accustomed to it. I know this world has done many things for people. I have seen a deaf man hear again and a paraplegic man walk. There is no doubt in my mine that this world could make a blind man see...”
“But like the others, I know all too well that readjusting to these gifts takes time.” Saskia stated as she tried to offer positivity and hope.

"I have seen some dwarves amongst the people of the city. But I haven't really talked to anyone except for a few vendors and clerks." Raef stated as they walked through the wooden paths, he felt a bit more comfortable in the open forest then in the urban structures of the city. The song of birds and the soothing sound of the wind was far more relaxing then the turmoil of the city.
"As for my tail... I kept falling before learning how to keep my balance with it, and it feels almost like having a very fluffy thin arm sticking out of your tail bone, it is very sensitive and so are my ears. Probably because like canines so are my ears and tail filled with sensitive nerves. Though while I am fairly certain I am not going to start purring like a cat do I not want to get petted like a dog, would feel awkward." Shaking his head Raef looked towards the wood lines and his left ear twitched and his once squinted eyes opened up into arrowed pupils. There was a slightrustle amongst the bushes and the leaves of the wild grown forest, the tell tale of metal plates hitting each other could be heard from amongst the tree lines. Someone or a small group were following them.
He then spoke up softly towards Saskia, turning his head forward as to not appear obvious. "Hmmm... I think I hear someone moving amongst the trees... two or three people... hard to tell but I think one of them is wearing armour of some kind of plate or splint mail." Grasping his staff a bit he looked forward and noticed the sign for the village of Blackwood just up ahead. Hopefully wouldn't whoever was trying to follow them try something.

“Aye, well there’s a small house on the outskirts of town to the Northwest side of the village of Blackwood. I’ll be able to escort us there. Should be an easy trip. “ Saskia smiled gently as Icarus cantered off into the forest alongside Raef with the flourescent haired war maiden on top.
Saskia then pulsed out her hand and gently summoned the radiant web of light from her hand that twisted and curved in a vast didital display. She manipulated her finger to navigate through the screen. She then reverted back to her previous level, having completed the quest with Raef. She smirked confidently at him from her horse.
“Looks like you gained quite a few bit of levels from that quest. You keep that up and you’re going to be a high ranked summoner among the server. That would be quite some remarkable power indeed. Your race is also a bit more attuned to magic than mine is. I’m still trying to figure out what class I might try next. Yours is definitely quite interesting. “
Saskia’s eyes fell upon the distorted color of the leaves as Icarus’s hooves crunched through them. The ivory coated horse let out a light whine as she combed her slender fingers through his thick golden mane.
“We’ll be there in a little while. I know you want to rest, Icarus. Poor thing’s been on his feet all day...” She frowned.
She then turned back to Raef, wondering how his condition was holding up. “What about you? You hanging in there? If your feet hurt, you can always hop on and I’ll walk. I need to exercise more anyway.”
Saskia chuckled as they kept progressing through the forest. She quietly listened as the man explained to her what the sensation of having a tail felt like. She giggled when hejoked about acting like an animal and being treated like one.
“Well, I think it’s kinda cute. The girls are gonna love it. Everybody loves fox tails. I think the elves are quite beautiful an elegant. Wolf hair’s seem so bold and strong. Like...I can feel it. This burning fire in my eyes that scorch the battlefield. It’s....unbelievble. This power...” Saskia muttered as she gripped her long spear tightly in her hands. “It was definitely a good pick for these combat oriented class. That’s for sure.”
It was then that that trekked deeper into the shroud of the woods and the fox tail seemed to be acting rather nervous about their surroundings.
“What? Do you hear something?” Saskia inquired as she shifted her persona into a more vivgilant one and gritted her teeth as she heard the noise much later, too. “Hold on...stay by my side. Could be friendly...coul be hostile. Best to be prepared.”
Saskia gripped her reins as she trotted in a circle around Raef and slammed the base of her long spear into the ground, activating her [Iron Curtain] ability. A anaimation of cobalt blue loomed over in a protective hemisphere around them. Those inside received a large defensive and health buff. The shield spread wide over a gap of three meters.
“Make sure you stay inside at all times...” Saskia murmered as her eyes started to shift from sapphire blue to a radiant gold.

Raef noted the illuminating sphere surrounding them as Saskia enacted the power of the now full powered Guardian class abilities. A single twang was heard as an energy projectile struck the sphere but did no damage. Out of the wood-lock came a level 10 male Wolfear samurai, a level 8 female Human Duelist and a level 12 male Elven Sorcerer, the group were smirking at the two and seemed a bit smug and certain that they could take on the weak Summoner and strong Guardian.
"Hehehehe! Seems we got a good haul guys, a level 30 Guardian is bound to have some good stuff on her! This game has gotten much more into my tastes!" The Samurai said with a twisted smile as he licked his katana with an evil glint in his eyes. Raef recognized the name of the Samurai, Thomas Tharem, the player was well known being a regular pvper, ninja looter and arrogant player who considered the game of Elder Tales to be his playground and everybody else the pawns.
Raef had known of this gamer before with one of his earlier characters, the man was a bully with sadistic tendencies, an obvious nut case craving for attention. But he was a good player in the game but this was real life and Raef had learned how to think outside the box early on and he doubted that a pvp players with no real sense for thinking outside of his own little universe would be able to handle what he was thinking up.
"I am going to make a distraction. You get ready to take out the duelist." Raef muttered before aiming his staff towards the soil rich earth beneath a tree's thick roots. A green light began to shine through his staff and eyes, the coloured light of the energy sphere around him and Saskia disguised the light and hid his magic from the sight of the three player killers, mentally chanting his spell.
*Spirit of Earth, Rise.*
The soil around the roots of the tree was struck by the magic and began to rise into the bulky shape of a soil golem, though mud or sand golem would probably be a better name for it. As the earth rose up to respond to the summoner's command the roots of the tree's left side were exposed and with a smirk Raef spoke up in a taunting tone to the PvPers as he mentally commanded his golem without them noticing.
"Seems like even when outnumbering others you are weak Thomas, just like always." The Wolfear's reaction was instant, his eyes narrowed into a sinister glare and he pointed his katana at Raef and shouted out with a foaming snarl. "Shut up! I am not weak! I am the greatest there is! You cannot comprehend my greatness! This game and its toys are my playthings and I will not have them talk back to me! So shut it, get out of that sphere and let me gut you!"
Raef almost sweat dropped at the sheer bizarreness of the scene, the lunacy of Thomas Tharem hadn't been an exaggeration it seemed, as his golem moved behind the sorcerer the sound of groaning wood could be heard and the sorcerer had no time to react as a solid body of soil suddenly tackled him from behind and buried his head in the soft earth making up the golem's body. Then the large tree began to tilt as the soil the golem had been unearthed from had been the main support of the tree's weight and with most of it gone and with the fresh wind going strong, would the tree not keep itself upright any longer. "I do not need to get out of this sphere to do anything. Cause we've already defeated you."
"Ha with your poor stats you couldn't handle a goblin! How would you two be able to defeat me and my minions!?" Raef just smirked and the sound of the falling oak reached Thomas' ears and he turned around, "What the hell is that noise!?", just in time to get hit by a falling thirty feet tall tree.
CRASH!!!
The impact of the tree crushed the golem and the sorcerer, the golem regenerating quickly from the blunt impact while the sorcerer was defeated and exploded into a burst of pink bubbles, coins and items. The tree also struck the duellist and Thomas, the duellist was able to evade the impact of the tree while Thomas was struck beneath the trunk of the massive oak. Roaring and snarling in anger and almost frenzy like madness Thomas began to foam as he screamed out in an undignified heap as he was stuck beneath the tree.
"CHEATER! You're not supposed to do that! You couldn't have done that! Nobody can beat me! I am invincible! You hackers! I will remember your face and name cheater! I will get you for this Raef! I will gut you! I will f**king gut you! You freaking cheater! I will get you Raef!" Rolling his eyes at the undignified Samurai's behaviour Raef just turned his back at the samurai's ranting and murmured as he cast a spell, feeling a rush of power and self confidence he had been lacking his entire life. To finally having stood up for himself Raef felt almost serene in what he had managed to accomplish. Though had he been outside of the safety of the dome Saskia had erected he no doubt would have been shivering like a leaf.
"Don't turn your back on me you cheater!"
"Oh Spirit of Earth, Punish the sinful with your might, Guardian's Fist."
"I SWEAR I WILL GET YOU RAEF!!!!"
CRUNCH!
The golem punched the downed samurai's head into the soul, shutting off the ranting and swearing before pounding the Wolfear continuously until he burst like a bubble. The Golem then collapsed as Raef released it from his control seeing how Saskia was more then prepared at handling the lone duellist herself.

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________
Saskia gave a wary glare out at her surroundings as she examined the layout of the terrain. It was perfect for setting up an ambush. However, the long experience Guardian was bred for defense. As the arrow ricocheted off the outer panel of Saskia’s mana shield that engulfed them, she cut her eyes towards the source of the aggresion. Creeping from the wood came the lurking marauders of the forest. They were all of different race and abilities. Saskia raised a brow as she examined them. Their skills was mediocre at best, given their levels, but she knew that left unchecked, even they may have been able to prenetrate her defensive line and put Raef’s life in danger.
Her eyes narrowed as they snarled at her and spoke of potential oppurtunities to raid and steal her gear that she worked hard to attain. The way they acted and taunted her she could only assume that they were adventurers. A bad bunch of goons that cared only for themselves and fed their own self-interests. They weren’t afraid of the consequences of their actions and Saskia wasn’t afraid to deliver them their retribution for such heinous acts.
Icarus’s feet slid back in the dirt as Saskia prepared him for battle. She stayed there with a fierce gaze. Hopefully, they would be dettered by her level alone and go away. Perhaps even they could have been talked out of the situation before any harm would have to be inflicted. However, they evil gaze in the Samurai’s eyes would cancel out whatever hopes she had of them all walking way from everything.
From the tension that arose from Raef as he scowled at the man, she assumed that it was possible that they may have even known each other. She didnt know the relation that Raef had with the deranged lunatic, but the man and his party seemed hell bent on a fight and Raef wasn’t going to back down.
Saskia looked over Raef as he firmly formulated a game plan. She was wary about leaving him alone and how if she left him for a moment to go after the duelist, how the other two could infiltrate the barrier.
However, she did know he had an ace up his sleeve as a summoner, but how good would that do them if they had managed to kill it?
Saskia was able to see outside the filter as the soil golem emerged from the root of another tree, while doing so Raef had already began to infuriate them with his words, driving the Samurai to anger to no end. This man was an immature freak of nature. He only saw this new world as a toy he can toss around and damage without fear. He was just a complete and utter asshole.
With a confident smirk, Raef had already known that he had bought himself some time. The Samurai taunted him with cutting words, but the tree that fell down cut far deeper. Ripping their health bars to shreads.
Saskia frowned as one of the Samurai’s goons ruptured his spine and shattered into a burst of anima. She closed her eyes for a brief moment, not wanting to watch him fade. She knew he was jut another corrupted soul that could have been saved.
The Samurai still yet survived, despite being impaled by the large tree which surprised Saskia as she saw his will power hang on by a thread as he shouted curses before it was snapped by the large golem that pummeled him into the earth. The dance of the blunt strikes swramed over the Samurai until he dissolved into nothingness.
Raef scowled at the tainted scorn that was cursed at him from the final moments of this meeting. Saskia sighed at the death of another adventurer. Her eyes settled down on the duelist. The lone warrior that existed from the group.
She heaved a deep breath as she cracked the reins of the beastly war horse as she drove Icarus forward with the blinding speed of [Fold Step], the rush of momentum that shattered forth with all the rage of a great typhoon. She hovered the tip of her spear at the duelist and glared at him with menacing golden globes as she responded to him in a firm voice. “If you value your memories and don’t wish to die here. I advise you get lost!” She snarled.
Though she was a fierce combatant, she still tried to offer grace and mercy.
Perhaps the man would listen, perhaps we would try to spite her by foolishly attacking her anyway. Either way, she had a number of defensive counter measures and would quickly be able to use her [Covering] ability to intercept any strikes towards Raef.
So she waited, to see what the lone duelist might do.
