Saskia was happy to be finally free from the crazy perverted aging geezer. She was starting to despise coming to this decrepit cabin that was in the middle of nowhere. She had no clue just how many women the old man tried to lure into his home, tempting them with ideas of a cozy fire. Chances were highly likely that he only want to spend a night with them in his warm bed, and when they refused he would beg and plead and offer compensation until they were forced to bail out a second story window on the old man.
Saskia hadnt known what was taking Saproth so long to come outside and she fingered that it was highly likely that he might have already dozed off, so she decided to keep her horse Icarus some company.
“Hey Icarus, how you doing boy?” She smiled gently, strumming her fingers through his rich golden hair. “I bet you’re feeling tired. We’ll get you some rest, sweetheart.”
Saskia then summoned her interface menu by pulsing out her palm as it spun into a intricate web of various data and statistics. She navigated through the panel and pulled out a magic bag. The magic bag was able to hold many items at one and she withdrew from it a bag of grain that she had received from Saber, the Guild leader of House of Crowns. It was a gift for her horse so that she could keep him well fed.
She drug it out of the large satchel and placed it in front of the horse and allowed him to eat. The ivory steed placed his long head into the bag and started munching on the grain as his chocolate eyes looked at his owner in deep apreciation.
Saskia hears the crickets chirping in the night and fireflies fluttering through the forest. The grass is still wet with dew and the sounds of subtle nature begins to expose itself.
“It’s a beautiful night out here, isn’t it?” She muttered to her horse tenderly as she leaned against him and stared up at the moon that shined brightly in the sky.
Saskia squinted over at the group of men that were on the other side, chatting about around the fire. They all seemed to be rambling on about the interests of this journey and their desires. However, they also spoke of the true nature of their mission, it only increased Saskia’s skepticism.
She frowned as she noticed the flaw in their plan. They wanted to take a dragon and manipulated it into becoming their slave to hoard gold.
Saskia contemplated her options. On one hand, she could help them in their quest and make money by aiding them in their endeavor. She was awfully curious if it could be pulled off.
On the other hand, that was a poor fate, even for a creature such as a dragon, however, if she left they may go off foolishly to their deaths.
She slowly weighed her options and signaled Saproth to come over so they can whisper quietly.
“Saproth, I’m not liking this. I think we should get out of here. These guys are mad, and you see the way that barely handled themselves with Golems? No way we’re able to take on a Dragon with these people. We just aren’t strong enough yet.”
