Welcome to My jungle.
Burai woke up in the morning, bright eyed and bushy tailed. He had been off training vigorously and now he was almost level twenty. He experienced quite a few things since he entered the game, and was level one. He wanted to do something different today, instead of training by himself. He decided to send a message to his newly acquired friend Gaijin. The way they met was very odd, and unconventional. There were so many obstacles in the way. But, even with the odds stacked against the two, they managed to find a way to work out their differences.
Burai laid down for a moment, thinking about that day. It was rather hectic and crazy! He made a fatal mistake and let his emotions free. During that short time, he upset Nyumo his dearest and closest friend. Even managed to ruffle the feathers of his former mentor and her underling. An impish grin appeared on his face, it stretched from ear to ear. "That was a good day." He extended out his right hand and opened his hand. He looked over toward the sun, he moved his hand towards it and closed his hand and made a fist. He chuckled, if only it was that easy to grasp the sun.
He tucked his hand back in, and slowly gathered to his feet. He sent a message to Gaijin, "Oy, Gaijin this is Burai. Meet me at the Northern Marshlands of Thames. I will teach you the ropes, My Way!" Burai wasn't sure if he would get the gist of the message, with Gaijin being deaf in real life. Perhaps the giant would get lost and wander his way there, just as Burai had done.
Without much delay, Burai made his way to the marsh. He took his time walking there, admiring the sights, reminiscing about his first journey there. When he arrived, he looked around for his friend, he ventured a small ways into, and then backtracked toward the entrance. "Looks like he isn't here yet. I'll try out my new moves!" He spotted a Grimy Swamp Snail hanging to a tree. He nodded to himself, and activated [Iron Body] He dashed forward and hurled into the air doing a front flip, "Wyvern Kick!" He broke out of flip, and lunged forward with his right foot sharply sticking out.
He foot didn't meet any resistance when it pierced through the snail. Its body dematerialized instantly. Burai pressed his foot firmly on the tree, he looked out adjacent from him, on a nearby branch there was another snail. Burai grinned to himself, and immediately pushed off the tree, "Tiger Echo Fist!" He leapt forward and punched the snail. But, something happened that he wasn't aware of, a small shockwave emitted from his fist. The force from his attack shattered the branch, along with the snail. With nothing to cling on to Burai fell effortlessly toward the ground.
He activated [Iron Rhino Stance] and hit the ground hard, back first. He didn't take that much damage from the impact. He thought he would've taken more damage. He lay still for a moment, shocked. He suddenly threw his left hand up with a quick jab. "I shall forge my own path, with my own fist. I will show the world, my resolve."

Gaijin had left the city in search or materials. He hated his weapon and couldn't wait to replace it. Unfortunately after looking through some shops he had found none in his price range that might have proven suitable. Disappointed, the giant had decided if he wanted a better spear he would have to make it himself. He had underestimated how difficult that would be. In order to gather materials he needed to be kill monsters. In order to kill monsters he needed a better weapon. To get a better weapon he need materials. Augh! He was going in circles. What the man needed was some help. Who did he know who might help him? There was his sister Piper, but he didn't want to rely on her for protection when he was supposed to be the one protecting her. Saskia was out of the picture. After their first encounter he doubted he would ask that manipulative bitch for anything anytime soon. That left... Gaijin was interrupted by a ringing in his ear. Mildly curious and largely in-pained the blond god fumbled with his menus until he found one that stopped the sound. Instead, he was bombarded by a familiar voice and a lot of nonsense. Two words he understood though. His own name 'Gaijin' and the name of the sender 'Burai.' I wonder what he wants? He didn't know the man that well, and the initial impression had been bad but Burai had consistently surprised him. Gaijin thought the two might actually be somewhat similar. Well the only way to find out would be to find the man in question and ask him. The thought daunted the larger male. It wasn't the tracking that would be involved, since Gaijin had a tracking subclass he thought he could find his target, it was the idea of going back into the city with all the noise. He hated it in the city. Deciding that he would most definitely NOT go look for Burai, Gaijin wandered deeper into the marsh. Maybe it was because he had been thinking about tracking a minute ago or maybe it was because Gaijin was a natural, but he soon got the feeling that he was following something. He wasn't sure why he thought that way, there were no footprints. It was just that there was a broken branch here, or a moved rock there, that seemed to lead in a direction. There were a few monsters around, and the giant tried his best to avoid them. Not that he wasn't confident in his victory, it was just that he was bigger than they were. The tracker paused for a while at one point trying to decide which way his imaginary trail went. Just as he made up his mind that it went north he heard a voice coming from the east. The dark skinned monk who had contacted him earlier was flexing his muscles. The right edge of Gaijin's mouth pulled upwards. "Burai." This time the white man was confident he had said the name right. His speech was improving, but it was still one of a handful of words he could even attempt to speak. Word count: 529 Burai

Welcome to My jungle.
He slowly lowered his hand and deactivated [Iron Rhino Stance]. He thought about his level. If he could could make something like fall damage trivial. The other possibilities of what he could accomplish seemed limitless. This brought a serious scowl on his face. He was certain the people who leveled passed, he would have figured this out as well. But, Burai would abuse this, and add it to his repertoire.
He didn't know if he would be able to make such complex combo's utilizing falling. But there was not reason, not to try. Burai believes there was a martial art for it. Capoeira, it was more like a dance with a lot of complex movements. It was a spur of the moment idea. He would have to take some time out of his day to practice it. Suddenly, he heard someone say his name.
He casually sat up, and deactivated [Iron body]. Burai loved this ability, it was his favorite skill he acquired so far. It reminded him of a guy in one of his favorite comic series. The super hero, could transform his entire body into a form of steel. Burai turned around to see Gaijin. He was shocked to hear him speak, or say his name correctly. He greeted him with a warm smile, and laid back down. He brought his hands to his head and placed them face down on the ground, one one each side of his head. He slowly brought up his legs, and tucked them in slightly. In one full motion, he propelled himself upwards and launched himself in the air. He threw down his feet abruptly, as he took flight, He slammed his feet into the dirt.
Burai stood upright and gave Gaijin a thumbs up. "Afternoon, Gaijin. I wasn't expecting you to get here so fast." He motioned Gaijin to follow him. Burai walked over to two nearby stumps. He plopped down on the stump to the left, leaving the other for Gaijin. "I asked you to come here, to partake in some of my training. I would like to take you under my wing. And teach you some nifty tricks. 'My Way.' I won't be so lenient, like other would be. I will be molding you into a fighting machine, A god amongst men if you will." He paused for a moment. He lifted his hand up slightly and opened a menu, to look at his own stats. "I know I'm still low level. It seems idealistic and silly to me. To think so highly of myself."
He closed the menu, and clenched his hand into a fist. "But that is exactly why, I must. No one else ever will. I am going to shake the foundation of everyone around me, and force them to acknowledge me in my own way. And, I can train you in my style of fighting." Burai folded his arms and nodded at Gaijin, "So do you know about the menus and stuff? I can give you a quick run down of it. I rather skip ahead to the abilities and see what you can do."

The stone guardian watched in silence as Burai performed a kip-up. It was truly impressive to see it done in real life but the cheesy thumbs up immediately after killed whatever sense of awe the larger man had. He just stared blankly wondering what the strange man wanted. Whatever it was he clearly needed to be sitting down for, so he followed Burai's indication to a nearby stump and sat gingerly. The smaller warrior spoke for a while before nodding at Gaijin. He didn't know these words, certainly not at that speed, but Burai spoke with calm enthusiasm. It was the hands that interested him. Noticing peoples hands and their tiniest movements was second nature to a deaf man. It's something important to him than. That didn't mean it was important to Gaijin though. For all he knew the man could be telling him that their first encounter had pissed him off and that he never wanted to associate again. It seemed odd that he would call him over to say that, but it was possible. The giant mimicked the hand motions. His character screen popped up, displaying his own stats. He finished the maneuver by closing the menu, clenching his hand into a fist, crossing his arms at his chest and nodding to Burai. No other menu or command popped up, so it was an action either meant for Gaijin, or subconscious motion. Deciding that pantomiming would take forever Gaijin pulled reached for his spear and began drawing in the dirt. "What did you want? If you're trying to teach me how to play the game I'll copy any motion you make as long as it isn't too fast." He was lying, but had his reasons. It would be useful to learn how to play the game which had become reality, but he didn't expect people to teach him. It was really a threat saying 'If you try something, I'll know instantly.' Welcome to My jungle.
Burai stared at Gaijin, he was surprised they were sitting down conversing like friends. Suddenly, the gentle giant grabbed his spear, and asked Burai what he wanted. Telling him that he would copy his movements. Burai brought his hand to his face, placing his elbow. He hunched over leaning forward, closing his hand into a fist. He pressed his hand against his face, and held it firmly. He stared at Gaijin intensely. He was curious about the idea, Gaijin brought forward. Burai himself was a monk, a rather unorthodox monk at that. "Could he keep up with me?" He was uncertain if training Gaijin to be a monk, would be the correct path.
He remembered his training with Saskia, he watched her attentively. She reminded him of your traditional tank. But, her skills were textbook. She was throughout, and didn't waste many movements. Burai blinked randomly and thought about Gaijin's height. "He is rather big, Built like a brick wall." That is when an idea sprung in the back of his mind. "A guardian that fights like a monk." Saskia told Burai to be like water. A reference from a famous martial artist. Water was shapeless, and could take any form. A calm stream, or a raging waterfall.
He pondered the thought for a moment. It would be fun to see his friend, as a "Monardian." He chuckled at the thought of combining the two classes. Burai leaned back and sat upright. He nodded to himself approvingly. He swiftly stood up and motioned Gaijin to follow him. He began walking along an old trail. As he walked he, opened his menu and invited Gaijin to his party. He was going to start a party with Gaijin, and sync to his level. That way it would be easier for him to wrestle with the goblins here. It wouldn't be fun killing everything in two hits. Once he finished with the menu Burai spotted two goblins. One was level three the other, was level two. He crouched down low to the ground and waited for Gaijin to do the same. He was going to give Gaijin a crushing coarse on fighting. This way, it would be second nature to him. Burai planned on explaining the abilities a bit before they ran into battle.

Gaijin gave Burai a bit of time to think about his actions before he would start mimicking them. The first action Burai took was to lean forward and cover his mouth with his fist as he stared at the guardian. It was a pose Gaijin was very familiar with. Really, everyone should be familiar with that pose. The Thinker was a famous sculpture after all. The monk sat in that pose long enough for the blond giant to wonder if the darker man was doing more than thinking. Gaijin sniffed cautiously, but the smell in the air was not coming from Burai. Finally he nodded his approval at some inner idea and quickly stood. Gaijin immediately followed suit. He was never sure what actions would trigger a game response in this new world so he made sure to do anything that seemed even possible. The giant mimicked an invitation for Burai to follow and began to walk down the path. His eyes studied the monk's hands. His menu opened and right as Gaijin was about to finish the motion a new message popped up. Gaijin almost tripped. He had been absorbed in copying the monk so the new unexpected menu inviting him to a party startled him. I guess I was a bit too slow on that one The new popup insisted on Gaijin, so he accepted the party invitation. His vision suddenly changed as new information flooded his eyes. Curiosity was foremost in Gaijin's mind, and he blinked a few times until his vision adjusted. Burai suddenly crouched, intent on something in the distance. Faster than his brain could process a reason behind the sudden change, his arms and legs were already on the ground. The only difference in position between the two was that Burai looked ahead while Gaijin's head was canted to look at the monk. He risked a glance in whatever direction Burai was looking and saw two goblins. Comprehension mixed with panic as Gaijin suddenly realized what Burai intended to do. Woah woah this wasn't what I meant. You've got to be kidding me!Word Count 349 Burai

Welcome to My jungle.
Burai examined the goblins for a moment. It seemed as if they didn't notice him. This was great. He slowly lowered his right hand, and planted it on the ground. He slowly pressed his fingers into the dirt. He was excited, the thrill of fighting was so intoxicating. The thrill, blood lust, the uncertainty of what will happen next. He thrived off this, As any warrior should. The battlefield is where he could truly let go and be himself. He took a deep breath to steel his nerves and calm his heart.
He tilted his head to the right, and glanced back at Gaijin from over his shoulder. The giant had a look of confusion on his face. He remembered, when he first met Gaijin he seemed more than eager to fight. "Tch." Disappointed in his friend's resolve. Burai swayed his head back to its original position. "Just...Watch. I will show you two ways to activate your abilities. The first is 'Hotkey' style." Burai remember that is what Saskia called it. But, he felt it was more like shouting than anything. "Much like in the comics, manga, or anime. Everyone would shout their abilities, before they used them. The system applies here."
Burai raised his right hand and placed it on his knee. He slowly staggered to his feet, pushing off his knee with his hand, for extra leverage. "Next is Unique style. This is where you, activate your abilities naturally. Without the need of hotkeys." He activated [Iron Body], and slowly began to walk toward the goblins.
The goblins stared at Burai and snarled, baring their fangs. Burai greeted them with a smile, and placed his hand in his pockets. "Aura Saber!" He slid his left hand from out of his pocket and lazily threw a hook, at the goblins. As, he swung his arm an aura developed around his arm. Burai smirked to himself as he used the ability this was his first time witnessing its effect. "Not bad."
After the attack the goblins seemed focus solely on him. "So, this is aggro?" He slid his hand back into his pocket. "Wyvern Kick!" He leapt into the air and drove his right foot into the stomach of the level two goblin. The kick sent the goblin tumbling backwards. Burai landed gracefully, as his feet touched the ground. The other goblin, lunged at him. Burai didn't want to dodge the attack, he decided to use about ability he recently gained. He activated [Parry] He swiftly separated his legs, and turned to face his newly acquired opponent. He immediately took out his left and blocked the goblin's attack with the back of his fist. Pushing the goblin's weapon to the side.
His body reacted on its own. He was furious, he didn't want to do that. He wanted to block the attack with his legs, though it would have been impractical. Blocking with his hand was logically the wiser choice. Burai gritted his teeth and took out his other hand, "Tiger Echo Fist!" He tightly clenched his right hand into a fist. Sent it crashing into the goblin's stomach. A shock wave emitted from the blow, and sent the goblin flying backwards into the other goblin. Burai glanced back at Gaijin, smiling. "So think you can handle one?"

Gaijin watched his companion beat the snot out of the two goblins. This was meant as a lesson in combat and the warrior knew he needed it. The two of them had radically different fighting styles and he doubted even if he emulated it, that it would work for him as well as it had for the monk. Pride is a heavy burden but Gaijin is a strong man. Gaijin put his hands in his pockets and quickly trotted towards the two enraged goblins. They ignored him. The giant took one larger step and came in low at the level two goblin in order to compensate for the size difference between him and his target. Left arm flashed in a sharp hook while Gaijin twisted his torso to add more power to the blow. He shouted with the effort but there was no glow around his hand. The goblin's head was hard but it snapped sideways with the force of Gaijin's punch. The minor twinge of pain in his left hand made him very glad he had an armored gauntlet equipped. Without it surely his hand would be broken. The goblin smirked at Gaijin and slowly righted its self. Narrowing his eyes a bit Gaijin grabbed his weapon and slammed it into the ground. He used it to aid his jump as his right foot jammed into the goblin's stomach just like Burai's foot had moments before. Its stomach was much softer than its head, and the goblin stumbled backwards a few steps.
Clearly deciding it had had enough of being pushed around, the goblin drew a short sword in its right hand and charged at the massive guardian. Gaijin spun in a quick circle while his halberd switched from his left hand, to right hand. At the last moment the warrior thrust forwards with the tip of his weapon, using the momentum from his spin to add force to the blow. There was a sharp clang as Gaijin's [Counter Break] unexpectedly disrupted the goblin's charge. Surprise filled the goblin's eyes and rapidly turned towards terror as Gaijin stomped the ground hard. It saw his opponent's eyes. Eyes that showed absolute determination towards victory and promised death to the goblin. Both men stood there pinned by [Heavy Anchor], staring at each other.

Welcome to My jungle.
Burai waited casually for Gaijin's response. What he saw shocked him, and left him in a state of confusion, anger, disbelief, and happiness. His eyes stalked Gaijin, as the giant began his approach toward the level two goblin. Burai's calm composure was shattered in an instant. As, he watched Gaijin throw a hook at the goblin. Burai was flabbergasted, "Why not use your damn spear!?" He recalled his first fight, how he made a pact with himself, not to use his hands that fight. Burai shook his head and continued to watch Gaijin. He mirrored Burai's wyvern kick. This caused an unimaginable embarrassment to rain down upon him. He brought his left palm to his face and held it for a moment.
He was pleased, Gaijin was not a coward after all. Even more so, that he was willing to copy his own movements. But, there was more to fighting than copying someone. "Copying my style, I'm flattered. But to equal me, you must train twice as much. But, it's human nature to imitate; A child would do everything in its power to resemble itself closely as possible the person or thing, whom they love or admire. Sadly, no man became great, by imitating."
Burai steadily lowered his hand and stared at Gaijin, "Show me your prowess." His eyes shot open with curiosity, as a Gaijin interrupted the goblin's attack, with a still. Suddenly, Gaijin stomped the ground. The two stood at a stand-still. Burai looked away from Gaijin, to find the level three goblins he was originally facing. "Where did it go?" He looked around periodically, but he couldn't find the goblin. A loud screech came from behind him. He slowly turned around and took an axe to his collarbone. The axe clanked loudly as he came into contact with his skin. Burai stared down at the goblin, giving it a warm smile. "That was a good attack. Allow me to return the favor."
He lowered his right hand down past his waist, and sharply jutted it upward. Uppercutting the goblin in its chest. "Tiger Echo fist!" The punched produced a shock wave that launched the goblin into the air. He activated wyvern kick, He lunged into the air, stabbing the goblin in its stomach with his left foot. "Time to end this!" Before the goblin could fall. Burai grabbed it by the throat, "Suplex!" He repositions his hand, placing it on the goblin's upper waist. He placed his other hand the other side. The couple slowly began to drift downward, back toward the ground. Burai gripped the goblin firmly, and began to spin around rapidly.
The spin began to pick up, as the two fell to the ground. Thr goblin began squealing, its cries grew louder with each rotation. "Not...yet..." Burai continued to spin. He was going to make sure that this was the finishing blow. Moments before they would collide with the ground. He lifted the goblin above his head, slamming it into the ground head first. A Shockwave of dust and debris emitted from the crash zone. Burai held the goblin in place, as his own body flopped on the ground. Burai quickly gathered to his feet. "Bullet Punch!" He mounted on top of the goblin and began to punch the goblin's face repeatedly. Burai was surprised, by this ability. His arms whipped back and forth with such speed. After his barrage of punches, he leaned back and glanced down at his opponent and deactivating [Iron Body.] A feeling of satisfaction swept over him. He tilted his head to the left to see the progress Gaijin had made. As he looked onward the goblin's body dematerialized and dispersed underneath him.

Gaijin and the goblin stared at each other for a few more seconds; neither one of them moved. The blond giant heard his companion shouting a few words which were ignored. When the effect of his [Heavy Anchor] wore off the warrior moved to close on his prey. The goblin ran. "Anchor Howl!" The retreating goblin continued to run which activated Anchor Howl's second ability. Blond hair and an evil grin preceded the halberd by a fraction of a second. The goblin slammed into a tree headfirst. His rage still not satisfied took his weapon and jammed it into the ground at an angle. He flicked the suspended blade to make sure it was secure. He heard an evil scream from behind as the goblin charged him again. Clearly it hadn't learned. This time however the blow connected as Gaijin turned to meet his attacker. Pain exploded in the giants side as iron blade met flesh. Pleased with itself the goblin attempted to slash again but Gaijin's hand flashed out and grabbed the sword arm. The goblin began to panic and struggle as it's other arm was captured. Desperate now the goblin tried to bite the armored warrior as it was crushed into a bear hug. You want to eat me? Well choke on this! He lifted the goblin off the ground as he arched backwards. Gaijin saw a flash of reflected light before he was lying on the ground with his head less than an inch from his weapon. It was shady underneath that weapon. He stayed there for a few seconds while his lungs caught up to the rest of him. When movement was possible, the exhausted Gaijin rolled out from under his shade and climbed to his feet with a wince. His right arm clung to his left side while he looked for the dark monk. Finding him watching Gaijin fixed the man with a cold stare. The hard fight and physical exercise had made his blood lust run low, but not out. Picking up his weapon Gaijin swung it in a massive overhead motion in Burai's general direction. The goblin's corpse slid off the point and flew awkwardly a few meters before disintegrating.

Welcome to My jungle.
Burai watched Gaijin with a hopeful expression on his face. H believe his student would show him something remarkable. He eyes shimmered and danced with delight, bouncing from side to side as he continued to stare at Gaijin. A satisfied grin creased on his lips, as he watched his student to attack the goblin with his spear. "Finally, took him long enough." He was overjoyed. Seeing Gaijin act on his own being original, "fighting in his own style." Nothing else mattered. This is what Burai wanted him to experience. Learn and process through fighting, as a true warrior would.
Training was a serious endeavor. One would have to endure many levels of pain and hardships. Solely to overcome their own obstacles that lay before them, or be hindered by them. Fighting was so basic and primitive. Yet, there are people who turned such a brutal, vicious, necessity into an art. Burai wanted to leave his mark on Gaijin. In the giants future battles. His opponents, whether they be victorious, are humiliated by defeat. They would all be toppled by Burai in his own way. He would live vicariously through Gaijin with his own teachings.
Burai's train of thought vanished, as a Gaijin drove his weapon into the ground. Burai's satisfying grin vanished, and became a disenchanting frown. "What is he doing!?"Gaijin was attacked by the goblin. Which led to the Giant recklessly suplexed the goblin onto his spear. A low groan escaped from his lips. "Reckless, but effective. He is definitely my pupil." He walked toward Gaijin, midway through he suddenly paused and grinned to himself. He plopped down casually tucking in his legs, allowing gravity to do the rest. As, his butt smacked against the ground. He let out a yawn, and smile at Gaijin. "Not bad for your first Battle."
He motioned for Gaijin to sit. He wanted Gaijin to feel comfortable for this next exercise. Burai He was debating if he should train him, himself. Or, find more monsters to fight. Burai didn't know much about Gaijin. The giant seemed to be a simple minded man. There was certainly nothing wrong with that. That would make everything easier to manage. But, as his self proclaimed master. He wanted to push the giant beyond the normal limits and turn him into a legend. Much like himself, but not as glorious! "Gaijin,I am flattered you fight with his hands, but why not use your weapon more?"

Burai took another seat and indicated for Gaijin to do the same. This time the giant refused. Although his blood lust was temporarily sated there was plenty of adrenaline to keep him aware and excited. A fight! Not those run-ins with bullies in which he was always the loser. Since coming to this world the guardian felt strong. He was bigger than everyone else, he was stronger than everyone else, and most importantly he could hear. His pinky traced his left ear absently. God he felt good! He still heard the goblin's death scream in his mind. The pain in his ears from that scream nearly brought tears to his eyes but the vicious warrior wouldn't let that memory go. A tightening in his pants reminded him that the halberd he used in battle was still an inferior weapon compared to his other. The monk spoke again and indicated that very weapon. What now? Does he want it? Gaijin made a few quick swipes while glaring at the offensive weapon as if it were a snake that had just bitten his dog. Casually he tossed it with one hand to the dark monk. "Trash." Disgust oozed out of that single word with a snear. Gaijin wouldn't deny the weapon had use, but he hated it all the way to the core of his being. He couldn't really say why either, it just felt wrong to him. Like an old suspension bridge that clearly hadn't been given maintenance in living memory. A dull pain reminded him that the goblin had cut him earlier, but it seemed to be healing already. It amazed the man how fast his new body recovered. In a few moments his wound would be completely gone. Itching for new sounds and new experiences the blond giant began to make short hops from one foot to the other. He was in full armor so each foot barely rose more than an inch, but they rose. His left arm, weighed down by armor, shot out in a slow jab. His right hook immediately after made him wince. Ignoring the pain he pushed off the ground with all his strength. His leg snapped out in a manner similar to the [Wyvern Kick] Burai had used earlier. He landed on one leg with the other still extend sideways at an imaginary target's chest. His supporting knee bent and his leg folded under him as his kicking leg hit the ground to make him look like one of those medieval knights kneeling before a lord. But Gaijin wasn't done yet. His right arm swung out and low while his left stayed high and close to his body. Finishing the turn in a rush he surged to his feet as his right hand pulled in and left hand pushed out. The shaft of his imagined weapon swung in a massive arc barely above the ground before skyrocketing upwards towards a new foe's neck. It was an attack he couldn't do with his current weapon, which is why he was searching for a new one. Word Count: 511 Burai

A weapon takes after its wielder.
Burai frowned, he was visibly upset with Gaijin. He wanted him to come sit down with him. "This giant, is going to be a handful. My gut is also agreeing with me." He smirked to himself as he placed his hand on his stomach. Suddenly, Gajin threw out a few quick punches, and tossed his spear towards him. Burai casually leaned back, and lifted his right leg off the ground before jutting it upward. He kicked the spear straight up, the weapon rapidly spiraled into the sky. After a few moments, its upward momentum stopped, and it began its descent down toward Burai. As the spear spiraled down, Burai casually brought his right leg back down and placed it firmly on the ground. He slid out his left hand, and shot it forward, grabbing the shaft of the spear.
He examined the spear carefully, but he was no blacksmith or weapons expert. "How is this trash?" He looked up at Gaijin, and sighed. "This was the weapon he chose, and he insults it?" Burai felt a rage bellow inside his chest. He didn't know what Gaijin was thinking. But, the man was wrong. This wasn't trash, and was far from it. How could he look down on his weapon like that.
Burai thought about an old Kung Fu movie. The student lost a match with his rival, and he blamed the weapon. He told the master, if he had an actual sword. He would've won and killed the other student. The master gave him, his sword and equipped himself with a bokken. The two fought, and after a few bouts. The master broke the blade of the sword, with his bokken unharmed.
Burai agreed with this movie, it wasn't the weapon that made the man into the warrior. The weapon was a tool; an extension of himself. To forsake it is to forsake yourself. He set his eyes on Gaijin and watched the man. Gaijin threw a series of punches, and then he did his own version of Wyvern Kick. What happened next almost floored Burai. Gaijin made a series of moves that ended with him Twirling upwards, launching a ferocious uppercut. Burai couldn't recall what arcade game he saw this particular move from. But, it was fairly popular. Admittedly, he liked the execution of the move, and he was going to tweak it a bit and make it into his own creation.
Something off in the distance came bursting through the swamp toward the duo's location. It was a Level 10 Goblin scout. Burai waved the spear at Gaijin, and then pointed to the side toward the Goblin scout. He lifted the spear over his head and placed it on his shoulders, resting his neck against it. "Gaijin, Don't worry about your 'trash.' I'll hold on to it. Go fight that Gob-" Before he could finish the goblin dashed wildly at Gaijin, swinging its axe downward. It was trying to cleave the guardian in halve with just one strike.

Gaijin reacted quickly. A goblin! And this one was level ten! Statistically the warrior shouldn't have a chance against something nine levels superior, and Burai was holding Gaijin's weapon! But the man had faced bigger and stronger. He distinctly remembered attacking something level one hundred twenty although for some reason he didn't remember what happened after that. Maybe it had been the blood lust. The point was that a puny level ten had no chance against someone as powerful as Gaijin. As the goblin's axe came down Gaijin stepped forward and swung an open left palm at the flat side of the blade. The [Counter Break] did not go as expected. The blade was diverted slightly so that instead of hitting him dead center it instead hit his right shoulder. Even with armor the axe sliced through him like warm butter. Pain more intense than any the guardian had felt before burned like ice across an arm that just hung motionless. It was more fuel for Gaijin's rage. The goblin brought its axe back for a second strike when Gaijin's head caught the beast right between the eyes. The goblin took a step back as Gaijin stamped his foot into the ground activating [Heavy Anchor]. This ability too did not work for the full duration, but it did give the stunned guardian a few precious seconds to recover his senses. The goblin's head was like headbutting a tree! Finally free the goblin struck again, but this time the blond giant was ready. He skipped a half step backwards as the axe came down and rotated his body hard to evade the blow. There was the crack of bone breaking somewhere in Gaijin's right arm which, due to the force of the man's turn, had risen to slap the goblin in the face. Word Count: 302 Burai

A weapon takes after its wielder.
Burai was overjoyed, by the appearance of the Goblin Scout. This goblin was much stronger than the previous that they had recently faced. But, Burai was sluggish, slow to move and react to the event that was taking place. He was disappointed in Gaijin, a warrior should never forsake his weapon. To insult it, was the cruelest thing the giant could do to the spear. Burai decided it was up to him to enact vengeance upon his student. He would attack him, or ridicule him; he would teach him a lesson in humility. He wanted Gaijin to see how being weaponless would affect his skills and certain abilities.
Burai looked onward with a stern eye. The rest of his face was emotionless. He was curious, as to how long Gaijin would hold out. Would he call out for his weapon, or would he fight the goblin. The goblin had a distinct advantage on his student. In the lowest depths of his stomach. A spark gave birth to a flame, no bigger than that of a candle. This was his own warrior's instinct. He wanted to fight the goblin, while he had the level cap on him. He wanted to see he would fair against the goblin.
His eyes stalked Gaijin, following his movements carefully. As the fight started, Gaijin looked as if he was trying to take the initiative. He managed to redirect the first blow, his right shoulder ended up being attacked. "C'mon...show me something." Burai's lips creased downward and formed a frown. After that blow, he figured Gaijin would crumble to the ground and accept defeat. He lifted the spear of his shoulders and gently placed the butt end of the spear into the ground. But, he paused as he watched his student headbutt the goblin. Burai's eyes widened, as he witnessed Gaijin's cleverness.
"Gaijin, you should notice some of your abilities didn't work without your trash. And, if this is the extent of your abilities. That goblin will kill you. Apologize to your weapon!" Burai lifted the spear off the ground and looked down at it, "This is an extension of yourself. If it is trash, so are you! I want to you to take your spear. Wield it with honor. Learn to master it. Have your spear become a reflection of yourself."
Burai lifted the spear above his head, and hurled it forward. It landed a few feet behind the goblin. He wasn't going to give it to Gaijin freely, he would have to earn it. He would have find a way around the creature, and obtain the spear.

"............" Alex's enemy spoke to his two friends. The three of them threw their heads back in laughter while six hungry eyes bore into Alex like he was a wounded gazelle. "........." The leader spoke again as all three began to close on the deaf child. He shrunk deeper into the tiny crevice between the wall and lockers. He was small, but not even an insect could hide in that tiny crack. Fear and panic bubbled beneath his skin at what he could do to escape. "......" A teacher appeared, grabbing the attention of the three bullies. "......." "......." "......." He was saved! Alex began to smile with hope at his good luck. "......." The teacher turned and left him alone. What? What had happened? What did he say?! His smile vanished and reappeared on the red haired leader's face like some sick physical symbol of fortune. Desperate now, Alex searched wildly for anything he could use for a weapon. His emotions finally boiled over at his inability to defend himself. So many tears fell from his eyes he didn't even know how one tiny body could contain that much water. The bully raised a fist like a hammer. If only I had a weapon. The fist flashed downward towards Alex's face. Lightning flashed and thunder answered a second later. Gaijin's halberd lay gripped in the earth with it's handle pointing skyward. Excalibur. The dark weapon shone like gold in Gaijin's wet eyes. Had he been crying? Why would that be the case? The blond warrior glanced over to see Burai still sitting down, but his hand was extended from throwing the weapon. Smug bastard. He intends I win this alone does he? Still he had to get to the weapon first, and the goblin was between him and his prize. Had the entire marsh gone quiet, or was he just too focused now to hear? Goblin eyes met human eyes as the warrior stared unblinking. He couldn't get around the goblin without it attacking him, and if he took a clean blow that was it for him. The boiling rage that had led his battles until now froze in the presence of determination. The goblin would make the first move this time. Word Count: 373 Burai
