Your dream
is where your heart is ❤
It was a pain in the butt really- the fact that these small villages were so poorly located. Every single one she encountered seem intent on existing without learning how to defend it's self. Now that this world was real and they could think for themselves they needed to start adapting. It was either that or they were going to be erased for good by the monsters that threatened them at ever turn. Sahagin were paticularly nasty she had learned while adventuring with her guild mistress. They had a lust for blood that could not be sated it seemed even if a settlement was out of their territory.
"So you need me to do a few sweeps, that's all?" Lu asked.
The villagers seemed over eager when they spotted her coming down the path to them. Apparently most of her kind that passed by this way could not be bothered to stop and offer their help. A shame really as it was pretty much all there was to do in this world she felt was to senslessly charge head long into solving NPC problems. Sure you could invent new stuff but it was not as exciting since most of the tech being made already existed in her own world.
On top of being asked to do a few sweeps to clear some Sahagin out she was asked to take a few young men with her. The idea was that if they saw her in combat they might learn a thing or two. Essentially she was to help train a small militia to assist in making the village more self sufficient than it was just three hours prior. The biggest problem was that none of them seemed up to the task of doing such a thing. They were all distractable, nervous or could barely figure out which end of the sword was for killing.
"I was asked to assist you in taking down your Sahagin problem," she began, folding her arms behind her back. Looking them over one by one she continued as she paced from side to side, "..most of you it seems have never held a weapon in your life. Look at you, shaking before the battle has even started. I know what you're thinking, she's immortal she can't know what it's like. Back where my kind are from we face even more devastating threats and walk away from it." she said with a fire in her eyes.
"Imagine entire cities gone in seconds all at the flip of a switch. Moving "wagons" with armor so think you cannot pierce them with standard weapons and they have massive cannons attached to them." she said painting a picture for them to fear. Coming to a stop she shook her head at them. "You don't know what fear is but today you're going to learn and I'm going to help you conquer it." she announced.
"Make ready your weapons and prepare to head out." she commanded. Saskia was slowly turning her into a militant monster.
