THERE IS A THIN LINE between what is good and what is evil I will tiptoe down that line but I will feel unstable First Steps THE APPROACH
Lost without a party, I decided to train solo style in the woods. Although I really want to train with others because having a companion really helps, I can’t endanger anyone with being close to me as I use my spells because of the miasma leakage as I use them, so that is not an option.
After that chase with the criminal bomber, I had the chance to use my spells, earning at least 11 points of miasma, meaning I’m at Stage 1 Corruption.
I have to consume this miasma out of me.
Because I’m a heretic, there is always the risk of corruption of miasma, but I don’t like it one bit. That’s the reason why as much as possible, I don’t like using my spells unless very necessary.
BLACK OPERON!!
Glad that I have this skill. Black Operon squeezes out excess miasma out of a heretic’s body for one-time use. Useful if you don’t want to be corrupted.
Time to consume this.
I set my grip on my grimoire and dagger tightly. Because I used magic in this area, I already attracted quite a group of dull green slimes. I lunged at one of them immediately but my attack was countered right away. I was thrown back, back first.
That is no way to use your weapons.
As I looked up, I saw an assassin standing over me.

| From the vibrance of the sunlight gently warming her figure, she strolled back to the Windsor Greatwood into the majesty of the deep forestry. She had spent some of her afternoon basking under the artful sky full of a variety of figurines. The clearing was filled with a blanket of vivid flowers and a mellow pond flowing gracefully with the breeze. To get to this peaceful and soothing spot, she had to lurking with light steps on steady branches to avoid the threat and aggressiveness of beastly monsters that she would have attracted in any other situation. Fortunately, she was very familiar with this location after level grinding with the intention to become stronger to prove she wasn't a dainty little girl to those adventurers who easily mocked her. Now, she was sure she was strong enough to prove them wrong.
It was such a cooling feeling and a release of negative thoughts lazing around once in a while. Honestly, it wouldn't be a total surprise to others that they thought that she was too easy-going and light-hearted. It used to bother her a few few months but their thinking was understandable since she would usually go out soloing to train instead of partying up with others so they would observe her growth over time. When she did meet up with adventurers after some time, she would mildly banter with others and joke around easily that it might have come off as sassy, not that she considered some sass as truly a bad trait unless told to her otherwise. If someone had a problem with her attitude, she would have liked to be told rather than being secretive about it.
Suddenly, her pointed ears appeared and perked straight up in alert hearing feet shuffling amongst the greenery. It wasn't far away, maybe around a few of the towering trees surrounding her view of the source of the noises. Was that a lander or an adventurer? Either way, the noises peaked up her curiosity and her body unconsciously led herself forward toward the source. She skulked past the moss covered trunks and under bushes as her pulse raced faster in anticipation. Finally reaching the source, she was soon greeted with the visage of an auburn haired young man landing on the dirt filled ground and in dire need of help. He was unfortunately cornered by a large group of nasty slimes. Normally she wouldn't think much of the situation but gazing at his information, he was only level one and some of the slimes were at level two and three. He would need some assistance or else he would easily be sent to the cathedral without a chance.
Reminiscing of her early days being at a lower level struggling to survive, she couldn't help but sympathize with the poor guy. Jumping down from the towering tree like graceful cat, she stood in front of the guy as a temporary shield if the slimes dared to attack them at some point. Turning around toward the young man, she furrowed her eyebrows in mild surprise at the interesting sight of a cracked mask though it didn't faze her as much as she thought she would. Besides, another adventurer held a weird mask but she gradually became used to the sight of those mask. Still, it almost seemed like those types may be hiding some sort of secret not wanting themselves to be exposed. "You okay there?" she asked with small grin as she offered her hand to help him back up from his position and continued, "Need some help?" as she gazed at his opponents. It was lucky for him that they were docile, not aggressive. "Four against one, sure ain't lucky," she stated as she observed the slimes, "I'll give you some advice while you battle if you want," with her amber eyes glowing with bloodlust but contained it with the thought of wanting him to improve on his own.

THERE IS A THIN LINE between what is good and what is evil I will tiptoe down that line but I will feel unstable First Steps NOSTALGIA
She was standing there beside him for a while, while he was just stunned. Ein is not the type of person who believes in destiny, but right now, he believes destiny is fooling around with him. Ein is so sure, he cannot be mistaken; those obsidian black hair, that deep black eyes, her very figure and stature, especially her face, the girl right now before her perfectly resembles the very reason he is playing this game, this alternate reality. The girl before her perfectly resembles Nicole. The shades of the leaves above them suites the atmosphere of nostalgia perfectly. To good to be true, he thought. But he realized that was not the perfect time to travel back in time. He is right away shocked, stunned. He momentarily forgot that he is actually in the middle of a crucial situation. He was brought back to this alternate reality when one of the slimes bumped the woman from the back. Now filled with a sense of urgency, he jumped up from his brief slumber. Oh! Thank you. Yeah, I kinda can use some extra hand right now, mind in our case. From the looks of her, her armor, her weapon, she must be an assasin, he thought. He was about to start again his training when he realized something:
He doesn’t have any offensive spells.
Uhm, can I ask you a favor? Can you teach me how to use my weapons?

| Avalon furrowed her eyebrows in thought when the strange white masked male adventurer asked her to teach how to wield a dagger. She would think that he would want to stick with using heretic skills instead of going for physical weaponry in a situation like this but she did offer him advice so she may as well help him out a little. "Sure that's fine with me," she replied quickly as she soon manually switched her bow weapon to her light-handed obsidian knife that she easily flicked it around both hands in a swift motion. She grasped her short weapon, Nightbane with her stance loosely made and stayed light-footed for any sudden movements from any opponents. "This isn't a knife but it's somewhat similar in it's usage it'll do for now," she stated as she beheld her beveled curved short blade toward the heretic class adventurer.
They were outnumbered by four dull green slimes though they were in a medium sized clearing filled with lush grasses that would cushion any adventurer if one were to be knocked back unexpectedly. Besides that, there was fortunately enough space in their surroundings to move around their enemies to improvise some sort of plan of necessary. Luckily, dull green slimes weren't the brightest of the monsters she had faced during when she was of a lower level. If it was just her in this fight, she could have just swiftly dealt missile swarm and immediately her opponents would dissipate into mere anima. But this was very different, she decided to have him experience first hand how to wield his dagger like a proper weapon. It would be a crime to use such as melee weapon improperly in front of a weapon specialist.
"Can't give you clear instructions right now so just imitate me for now," she stated as she brought her curved knife downward and loosely held in her grasp. She bent her front knees slightly and other arm bend forward for balance. She aimed for the level three dull green slime with a vigor and lunged at her enemy quickly as she thrusted her weapon into it's stomach. She leaped back as the poor dull green slime disappeared into sparkles of anima and flowed into the wind. The other level one dull green slimes seemed to shiver slightly for a few moments though they managed to recompose themselves somehow and zoomed toward the heretic vigorously. They exuded eyes of steel possibly angered by the lost of their stronger comrade and now picking off the weaker adventurer. Well, that was not unexpected. Unlike the game, they were now in a strange world where the normally emotionless npcs displayed a variety of emotions, personalities, and attitude so it wasn't uncommon that that would apply to the monsters as well.
"Go for it!" she grinned in anticipation as she intently observed with her glowing amber eyes the dull green slimes heading toward his way zooming in faster and faster. Her heart was racing and forehead sweating with her yearning for her to lunge into the kill in satisfaction. But this was not her battle this time. He needed first hand experience to become in sync with the flow of the fight and build his way up to quickly become accustomed to the adrenaline of battling especially in close combat fighting. "Don't hesitate, go in for the kill," she ordered clearly and continued, "Feel the motions as if it's an extension of you," as she easily stabbed the dull green slime in a downward motion that erratically swerved toward her direction. "I got your back," she added and paused, "Just in case something happens," as she flicked her weapon safely to her side in a fluid motion.

First Steps
FIRST BLOOD
Ein was really hesitant to lunge in, but more than anyone else, he knew that if someone is going to make this thing happen, its gotta be him. Biting his doubts aside, he lunged at one of the level 1 slimes and stabbed it in its gut area. He even took the pleasure of savoring the kill by remaining in that position for a second before drawing his dagger out and turning the poor critter into anima and psyche bits. See? Didn’t that felt good?He was shocked to hear that suddenly. If the voice weren’t obviously a male’s, he would’ve thought that it was the girl’s voice. Was he hearing things now? After killing that slime, he is in a primal rush and uncanny ferocity. He thought that maybe it was the reason that he thought that he heard something. He was brought back to his senses when he was thrown back because of a slime rammed into him with full force. Luckily he stretched out his arm to break his fall. How dare you? He said fiercely. He lunged at the slime that knocked him and planted his dagger it on top of its head and pulled it toward himself, ripping chunks of slime in the process. One scum remaining. He said with such ferocity. As if by instinct, Ein pulled his grimoire from his back pocket and opened it at the first page almost instantly. He ran towards the remaining slime on showed his grimoire in its face. He smiled grimly as he made the slime explode with a plop when he made a magic blast from his grimoire. He was about to go at it again to what remained of that slime when the girl held him back. Somewhat because of that, that feral edge that was running through him subsided. Perhaps maybe because she resembles the only girl who can really calm him down. But whatever the reason maybe, now he knew why he was in such state. He almost forgot that he was under the influence of BLACK OPERON. So thats what it feels like being a true heretic, he thought to himself. How did I do? He asked his mentor.
