I woke up in one of the inns inside the city. after a long night of even more nightmares based around me coming to this world. I decide after a long time of being in the city that I would finally leave. if only to try the fighting in this world seriously. but there is no time to be sad about that we didn't choose to come here or have any choice of leaving here and there is no use crying about it. maybe we will never leave here but i'm not going to cry about it. I wear my clothes and put my katana's sheath on my back and start going down the stairs. while I go down I think about how difficult it was to walk for me at first since I was so much shorter in this world. As I went into the main hall of this small building I smell the morning smell of greasy food and fresh cold air coming from the windows. I sit down and ask for an omelet, like the first time I was here on my first day in this world. I finish my breakfast and head out of the inn once again paying the inn keeper with the small amount of money I had left after such a long time of staying in the city without earning any money by fighting monsters or selling goods. After I exit the inn I head towards the exit of town. I travel a few streets and arrive at the main square going towards a fountain to drink some water and refresh. I suddenly see a human dressed in a blue attire that reminded me of someone I knew from a previous server I played on, sitting on the bench near the fountain. I drink some water and start approaching her as I get close to the bench I ask her "Are you her?" expecting no for an answer although wanting to find a friendly face in this crowd of unknown and unwanted individuals. preparing to walk away I wait for an answer. tags: Mikoto WC:349

She'd stopped for a moment to make an adjustment in her inventory via the menu interface. Taking a seat on a bench to keep herself out of the way she'd been busy fiddling with the menu when someone approached. She'd not taken much interest in the person as they approached, she was busy trying to organize her inventory. Stopping when the person hadn't continued on their way she looks them square in the eye as they spoke, "Are you her?"
Firstly, who exactly was her? Secondly, who was this person? And finally, wasn't it a tad bit rude to not excuse yourself before asking such an oblique and awkward question? Closing the menu with a deft finger prod Mikoto stood herself to her avatars full height. Taking in the person who'd addressed her she made a quick assessment. Half-Alv samurai, high mana points pool and a class that had a lower than average defense for a tanking class but made up for it with combo making ease and a high attack rating. The player before her was either very skilled or very very stupid. She couldn't determine which at present nor did she have time to. She had some place to be.
Reopening the menu and pressing a button she un-equips her outfits skirt. Thankfully this outfit allowed for layering and she had had the foresight to wear her riding breaches beneath. Taking a step forward she stops in line with the half-alv before speaking, "I don't know who you're talking about sir. Excuse me." Stepping forward once more she heads herself for the horse barns. That majestic and cowardly bay of hers was due for his daily ride. Thankfully for both him and her she'd been riding since she was just a little girl so she could teach him without taking him out of the town. That didn't mean she didn't ride him in the country side. No she did ride him outside the city quite often indeed.
Pushing a lock of stray blonde hair behind her ear Mikoto disappeared into the crowd. This wasn't the first time someone thought they knew her. Often enough it was true but she'd learned to deny and evade the subject as best she could. This was for relaxation and admitting to who she was, even if it was just as a player from a different server, meant things would be expected of her and would make her life that much more difficult. It was a bit worse when someone insisted they knew who she was and kept at it. She couldn't simply ram her weapon through them as the "Royal Guards" would be all over her. Hopefully, this would be the last time she'd run into this player. It was a large enough game after all.
That made her seem anti-social. Which wasn't entirely the case. She was social, decades of large family events and social gatherings of the rich and elite had taught her how to be despite not wanting to be, to a point but enjoyed her own solitude and valued her free time. This was a situation where she, Mikoto, wanted to be left alone so she could focus on what exactly it was she had to do that day. That being the further training of that coward she had as a mount.

Ignoring my question she started walking. Firstly accepting that as a no, I suddenly remember who she is and why she responded like that, Mikoto was always a friend of mine. Although to the outside she looked very anti social her rich background had caused it, on many different levels although. I know here very well I decide to let her walk away thinking ill meet her again at some point. But suddenly I realize how plain she sounded like she sounded back then before I met her. The woman I only heard about, and then I decided. “Wait Mikoto.” I say “Don’t you remember me, Tzuf.” I exclaim hoping for her to recognize me. She was already on her horse’s back when I got to her and I was ready to follow her if she ignored me and leaves. as I expected that’s exactly what she did. Carefully I follow her all the way through the city sometimes on horseback sometimes running and sometimes plain walking. Once we get to the town gate I ran in front of her and screamed at her to stop, again exclaiming “Mikoto don’t you remember me Tzuf have you forgotten how I am after all this time” with tears in my eyes I scream at her that one sentence hoping that I would break through whatever crazy barrier she put up this time. The random stranger ran in front of her as they reached the town gate. Doing so was never a good idea even with a well trained horse much less a horse like the one she rode at present. The horse let out the scream its species was know for when startled. The towering horse reared back its front hooves flying out for the Half-Alv's face. The only thing she could do was try and console the rearing beast and remain in her saddle. Softly kind words flowed from her mouth as she tried to calm the fear crazed animal. "Easy boy. Shhhhhh. Easy now," she cooed at the frightened animal. Finally after some time the horse settled with a snort of its flared nostrils. Clearly the horse between her thighs was transitioning from frightened to outright annoyed with the Half-Alv. Stifling a chuckle she pats the neck of her irritated horse, "Easy boy."
Now with her horse settled back to its four hooves Mikoto could turn her attention to the one who called himself Tzuf. "Tzuf, was it? Please forgive me. I've played on numerous servers and associated with many people in the time I've been playing this game. It would be completely unfair to expect anyone to remember a single person out of hundreds after whats likely been years since last associating with them. So, I'm sorry to say Tzuf but I have no idea who you are much less how I'd know you. Please understand and,"" she stopped deciding on how to word it before she spoke, "And don't run out in front of a horse next time. Its a good way to get injured."
Pressing her heels into the horses side she guides the bay stallion around the person blocking her path. As they passed, and much to her amusement, the stallion sent a quick kick at the Half-Alv's rear. It seemed even her cowardly steed had his limits for how much he could take. Patting the neck of the horse again she is rewarded with a nodding of the stallions massive black maned head. "I know. I know. You didn't like that did you? Still need to give you a name now don't we?" she cooed to her now trotting horse.

She ignored me again not remembering who I was. Once she was one person I would never give up on. Never in my life but then she left. her life led her elsewhere and that didn’t include me and although I was happy that she was able to move on in life I did sometimes miss her and if she’s here and she wont remember me I will never forgive myself. so the words came straight out “I challenge you to a duel” I say adding “Cutie” to annoy her and cause her to accept this challenge and although she thought I was a complete and utter stranger. I was not and I knew her weak spots better then anyone else and if there’s one thing she isn’t going to accept is that single word. she is going to ride straight at me and try to kill me after this, but hopefully she’ll remember who I am. She stopped her horse and turned about in the saddle. Sighing Mikoto shook her head as she looked at the Half-Alv. How to get it through his thick head? How to make it clear that she had no idea who he was and that regardless of what he said or did she wouldn't remember him. She'd tried being gentle and he'd not taken the hint. So this only left a few other options. She could simply heel her horse forward and leave him looking like a fool and possibly with some hope that she might one day recall him. The other option was that she could outright shatter his hopes here and now and be done with it. Taking into consideration his actions and attitude to this point it really only left the later. So turning her unnamed horse about Mikoto looks at the half breed Alv flatly.
"I don't remember you because you're not worth remembering. In the past you were a party member. We completed a quest or event together and that was the end of it. You did nothing to gain my attention. All you're doing now, Tzuf, is irritating me with this constant babble about us being something when it should be fairly clear to you that its one sided. I see you as nothing but a Half-Alv Samurai. A rather poorly thought out build being played by someone who is still exceptionally childish. I didn't take notice of you then and I surely am only noticing you now because of your insistence that you are someone I should remember and hold a value you to," she said her tone flat with that Welsh accent ringing like a clear glass bell. "I don't know who you are and I don't want to. You are another player and one I'd like to not interact with further. So stay away from me. Do not contact me. If you see me somewhere do not approach me. You've done well in the few minutes to earn my irritation."
Turning her horse about and giving the horse a sharp heel she takes off. The unnamed horse between Mikoto's thighs let out a small snort. Patting her mounts neck she rides off to train it. There had been enough wasted time dealing with this half-alv. Time to get some work done so the day wouldn't be a complete waste.
