my eyes can see the death of everything even if that thing is god "Ah! As expected of the Green District, the air here is really clean! Perhaps I should bring Grainne here sometime. The poor girl is always stuck in that stuffy house of ours; some fresh air could do her wonders." Admiring the scenic view and natural beauty of the Green District, Fiona sightseeing was suddenly interrupted by one of her servants shouting. "Mistress Fiona! Mistress Fiona where are you! It's dangerous to wander alone! Mistress Fiona!" A rather large man wearing chainmail, with a large zweihander on his back was shouting for Fiona's return. It was apparent that the man was her bodyguard, and that she had sort of abandoned him. "Ara…" Guess that's my que to split. Though maybe if I had some more conspicuous clothing; I kind of do stand out like a sore thumb. It wasn't too difficult to see that Fiona was from the Blue district. Her clothing had a certain sense of luxury that was often found in the Blue district. Not only that, Fiona has lived a rather pampered life; even if she does do her own sort of work as head of the O'Kearney family, the people of the Green District toil at the fields and took care of the various plants and vegetation that the green is famous for. To the folks of the Green District, Fiona probably looks like she has never worked a day in her life. "Excuse me," Fiona said to a Green District citizen, wearing a large green cloak, who was passing by. "Hmm?" Pulling out a large sack of gold from a magic bag, Fiona politely asked, "Could I purchase that cloak from you?" The citizen could only stare in awe, as his eyes widened, at the sum of money that Fiona offered him; it was likely many times more than what his old dusty cloak was worth. "O-o-okay," stuttering, the Green District citizen took off his cloak and handed it to Fiona who handed him the gold in return. As Fiona put on the cloak and left in a hurry, the citizen could only mutter to himself, "Perhaps I should try getting more Blue District customers…" "Mistress Fiona! Mistress Fiona!" Her bodyguard's cries got softer and softer as Fiona walked away. Eventually she came upon a rundown farm. Unaware if anyone still lived on the premises and a bit piqued with curiosity, Fiona stepped onto the premises. If I recall, about a year ago, there was a raid in the Green District. Did they ever discover who caused the raid? Looking around, it was obvious that the farm was still suffering from the raid. "The soil is probably still fertile as well," Fiona muttered to herself as she picked up some soil from the ground, letting it fall through her fingers. Fiona could only feel dissatisfied as she imagined the state of the farm from before the raid. What a waste, the land here could be put to good use. We are having a bit of an economic crisis right now; with the blockade we are simply living off our surplus. Did no one decide to take up this farm after the raid? Were its owners killed with no one to inherit? There is a lot of work to be done sure, but with a bit of manpower, it wouldn't be impossible for this farm to start running again. |
