Kaytina Wolf Hair Monk Lv. 7 | HP 100% 100% | STATUS: None |
The Eleventh of December, 2018. Time, who cares. Night. It's cold. The clouds have covered the sky. And it's dark. She must be a good three miles from the outskirts of the ruins that make up what is London in this place.
It seemed that the weather of this game world coincided with that of the real world. A fact that should have occurred to Kay the moment she arrived in this world had she not been too busy running about trying to figure things out and avoiding the occasional riot that would spark between adventurers. It was cold and the air was damp. She huddled close to the fire to soak in what little heat she could from it. Stuck out in the middle of a field in a tank top and heavy pants. So her legs weren't too cold, but her shoulders and arms were like ice. Hands slid up and down her arms to try to warm them with friction. Kay pulled out another chunk of wood from her bag she had picked up from the nearby forest and tossed it into the fire. The bag was something else she needed to get used to. It wasn't like a normal bag. You could fit things inside of it you normally wouldn't be able to with its size and in order to take things out, you just have to think about the object you want to remove and you grab it. She would have preferred a knapsack, honestly, but she had to make due with what she was given.
The sky was pure gray. Not a star visible, which would have made this impromptu camp out at least a tiny bit enjoyable. She scooted herself closer to the fire and sat cross-legged on the ground. Moving closer helped, but her arms were still cold to the touch. She gave her own body a once over again. It had been a whole day now, she had come to terms that this was not her real body. Although her skin and eyes were the same, everything else was off. Everything from the texture of her hair, the shape of her chin, the width of her neck, the muscles in her arms, the shape of her breasts, her feet and thighs, this was a whole new body. It was stronger than her real body, scarily so. During the day she fought monster she would have never been able to fight in reality and got even stronger for doing so. She also collected a lot of coins and animal pelts. Not that she had much of a use for them right now. Right now her only concern was the decision to either stay out here for the night, risk getting rained on or attacked by monsters or people, or try to make the trip back to the city without freezing to death. And no, the pelts she collected from fighting the various monsters out here didn't help fight against the cold. Apparently they need to be crafted into something before they're of any use insulating as clothing or as a blanket. Same goes with food. She got a bunch of raw meats while killing things, but eating them raw gives debilitating debuffs. It's just easier to suffer the pangs of hunger. Sitting in the cold beside a campfire with a groaning tummy. Not how she expected to spend her Tuesday night.
