Hands stretched up into the air a little ways, then further extended, in a stretching motion. The Monk let out a bit of a grunt, closing his eyes slowly as he elongated his muscles. Letting the tension relieve itself from his arms, they flopped back down to their positions at his sides, resuming the pattern by which they moved as he walked. His emerald eyes faced up towards the sky, with the boughs of the trees covering the light that shone down a decent bit, though it wasn't without its pockets where the light gleamed through. Raising his right arm up to his forehead, covering a bit of the sunshine, he took in a deep breath, letting in the air, which was slowly exhaled. Hiro returned his gaze to the forest path after just a moment to look at where he was going, and also to ensure that there weren't to be any pesky roots or limbs to knock him over. He found himself getting a little tired of walking, and quickly noticed a nearby rock on the side of the path. Deciding that he'd gone a decent enough distance into the woods by this point, the red-haired Monk chose to standby for a bit.
Sitting down on the rock itself wasn't very comfortable at first, as it was a slab of stone, but he relaxed into it nonetheless. Eventually, he found a sweet spot where the rock was mostly level all the way across, to which he immediately occupied. He leaned forward on his knees, his arms crossed before him, looking at the ground and collecting his thoughts. It'd been a little while since he'd set foot into this area once again. He couldn't accurately remember the last time. Perhaps it was with Alvina, a long while ago? Or maybe it was even further back, to a point where he probably couldn't remember. Either way, though, it was pretty nice to come back out in this part of the world. He felt a soft breeze course over him, as his body relaxed into a deeper state of calmness. He wasn't preparing to fall asleep, mind you, but he could if he tried to, at this point. It was then that he had remembered why he had exactly come out to this place anyway. It was to fulfill a mentor request type of thing, perhaps something combat related, or maybe something entirely different. As is his usual way of things, he decided to leave it to the other person to decide what they do.
Hiro lifted himself up a bit, leaning backward to face up to the sky. The midday sun was beaming down on the forested treetops, as the wind brushed some of the leaves out of the way for the sun to shine down onto his face. The entire thing left him feeling rather calm, as he moved to take in more of the surroundings. However, this thought was cut short, as he heard a light padding nearby. Turning slowly to see the cause of the noise, Hiro noticed a small Dull Green Slime, bouncing through the forest, and eventually closer to the road. Since his level was so much higher than the monster itself, it decided not to pay attention to him, and continue slowly hopping to where it intended to go. Hiro smiled a bit at the creature, also figuring that it wouldn't serve him any benefit to attack the beast, as he was just waiting for the other person to arrive now. Strange that the location where he and the other were to meet would be out in the middle of the woods, but Hiro wasn't one to overly complain about things. Instead of questioning this entire thing in his mind, he focused his attention on the Slime, as it bounded away to the other side of the path, and eventually out of sight. He returned his gaze back upward to the sky, losing himself in the calmness.

“IT'S RAINING OUTSIDE JUST LIKE MY BLEEDING HEART” Youka frowned as she walked around the forest. She had accidentally put in a request for a mentor. As if she couldn't do anything for herself even though she was a full grown woman. In all honesty she had no idea how she ended making such a monumentally stupid mistake and then going along with the accident anyway. She should really just turn back around right now and just go to the little place she called home in the game.
Youka also no idea about who was going to be her mentor. Was it a guy? A girl? What's their class? How do she know they're not gonna try anything funny? Why are they even meeting in the middle of the forest anyway? Oh wait, that was her idea.. It's not exactly a good idea but Youka needed to be away from all the people and would like to deal with them as little as possible considering that hated them with a passion. People were not under ANY circumstances trustworthy or her friend. They were only out for selfish gain, it's human nature.
Youka stopped walking and surveyed the forest. She still had a little bit of a ways to go in order to get to the meeting point. She looked down at the road....er trail. It was a simple dirt trail which meant that she should be extra careful not to get lost since she was a mere level one and it wasn't the best of ideas to get stuck in the woods unable to fight. Also because the monsters in all areas in the game tended to attack those that had a level lower than themselves. Youka cut off her train of thought as she looked up and around the road. The forest seemed to be dense and most of the trees were extremely tall, though maybe it seemed like that to her considering she was so short. The trees also had varying hues of greens. They didn't appear to be evergreen trees either. In all honesty she wouldn't know any type of tree so her judgement on them couldn't really be trusted.
Deciding that she should probably get going to the meeting place Youka stopped studying her surroundings and started walking the trail again. Hopefully there would be no forks in the trail before she got there. If that did happen Youka would probably just end up walking back to her place because there's no point in getting lost and possibly hurt for a mistake.
Soon after she started walking again she came upon a monk lounging on a large rock right by the trail. Is this place? Youka stopped in her spot and studied the monk. He appeared to be tall from how long his body was, though that could a trick of the angle considering he was laying on the rock. The monk also appeared to have auburn or red or something along those lines colored hair. It was slightly interesting but really not surprising in a fantasy video game. The man also appeared to be wearing a somesort of necklace, clock, and brawler's type ensemble. It was rather ugly really. Especially compared to Youka's beautiful black lolita style garb. Though her eyepatch and hair may have made her appear a bit eccentric. Not that she really cared all that much.
Youka stopped studying the monk and asked a question instead. "Are you the mentor?" she asked in an aggressive tone. There was no point in acting polite or anything but herself. She had no reason to be nice even if this monk man was supposed to be her teacher or whatever. In all honesty she really didn't give a damn about what he thought about her, or anyone else for that matter. Youka frowned as she waited for an answer to her question.

After thoroughly losing himself, completely this time, in the atmosphere, Hiro was shaken back to reality by the voice of a female nearby. His mind readjusting back to what was in front of him, he looked to the path by which he had come from, and very quickly noticed a shorter female, with incredibly long hair, and an eyepatch. Her garb was reminiscent of a lolita-type of person, the kind that one would see every so often at a convention of some sort, though he wasn't going to critique someone about the way they liked to dress, especially since he had yet to even know this person. The last thing he had noticed, which is slightly surprising for a guy, is the fact that her chest is larger than one would imagine a classic lolita. Once again, he wasn't going to tell somebody how they dressed, or what he thought about their tastes, unless he is asked. So, he kept his opinion to himself. He did, however, take note of the semi-hostile question he received from the girl. The question itself wasn't hostile, but more the tone by which it was asked. Under normal circumstances, this would've caused him to glower at her, but he brushed the thought aside.
Shifting his weight a bit, Hiro stood up from the rock, immediately noticing the difference in height between himself and the girl. While he wasn't the kind of person to take likely to a rather aggressive way to ask somebody a question, he figured that first impressions are just about everything. So, dawning a soft smile, he spoke to the girl. "Not so sure if you'd consider me a Mentor, but I'm the person who accepted the request to come out here for a quest of some sort. Name's Hiro." The quest and such was to be left up entirely to the student, in most cases. However, in rare circumstances, Hiro had been asked to decide what the does with the student. While he didn't mind making the decisions, it was nice to follow orders for once. Of course this meant that at some point he would need to lower his level for the sake of doing this quest. Such a concept, he had no problem with. If this was to be done for the sake of helping whoever showed up, then it's more than likely worth it. Plus, he can throw some of the extra experience garnered from this quest into either of his subclasses. Which brought about the thought of possibly swapping to a different class for a while, and getting EXP for that.
None of that mattered now. What mattered right now was the fact that this girl was here, supposedly the one that put in the request for a mentor, and he was just standing there, giving her a smile. Not awkwardly or anything, but still, such a thing is enough to gather a bad response from some people. Immediately noticing what exactly he was doing, his smile shifted to a more shocked expression, as his face brightened up just a little bit at his cheeks. But, it should be fine. So long as he didn't do something stupid, like look at the girl's chest, or something that would cause a further flush of red in his face, things would be absolutely fi- His face brightened up even more, as he very quickly realized that his gaze was shifting slowly down towards her chest. Catching himself in the act, having only made it to about her neck with his line-of-sight, he still thought about where his eyes were going to end eventually. If the girl hadn't picked up on the fact that he realized just how awkward he was being by just standing a smiling, without saying a thing, or the fact that his eyes were getting closer to looking at her chest, then she would probably notice his immediate and sharp turn to the side, and his face which had just fully flushed a bright red. Alright, good first impression: Check.
All the awkwardness and such being put behind for now, he tried to calm himself down. Having his face be more red than an apple right now probably isn't a good idea. He took a deep breath, let his cheeks return to their normal shade, and then sat back down on the rock. "Alright, so." Hiro finally began, after a much longer awkward silence than had been anticipated. "I'm assuming that you have some reason for us being out here today, right? Like, a quest or something that we should do that you might've needed help with, or just learning some kind of practical combat things." Making sure to keep his gaze away from the girl, he continued. "I'm just here to help you out for whatever you need, or to teach you a few things if that's what you wanted me to be out here for. So, I guess once you tell me what we're out here for, we can get this whole thing started. Sound good?" Hiro asked, finishing his thought. The less he talked right now, probably was for the best. Keeping in mind that she might ask him to help with a quest, learn some fighting tips, or anything of that sort, he was more than ready to erase the situation that he had caused himself. He silently damned himself for acting without thinking, specifically with his eyes moving where they probably shouldn't go. He kept quiet, while waiting for the girl to respond, and for things to get started.

Youka started glaring at the man as she waited for a reply. He was taking his time as he looked her up and down. It was pretty rude actually. Especially right after she had asked a question. The rudeness only made her more offended by the minute. She sighed an angry sigh. He still hadn't said anything but he had gotten up. Youka could now tell that the monk was indeed tall like she thought. In fact the difference between heights kind of pissed her off even more. There was over a foot of height difference between them. Now she wouldn't be able to look him in the eye well or easily. By look she meant glare profusely and hopefully piss him off. She wanted a fight. Fights were fun. Not the best idea especially in the game where she had no strength to speak of whatsoever but that wouldn't stop her. Youka's thoughts were cut off when the monk finally spoke. The man smiled and acted like an idiot before introducing himself as Hiro. Clearly he wouldn't be a good mentor, unless he was incredibly strong. She wanted to doubt it very much but most of his things looked highlevel and monk types tended to have superb physical strength and were tough to deal with in a fight based off of their usual stats alone. As she thought about the man and his idiocy she saw him check her out multiple times. Most of which dealt with wandering eyes. If anything Youka was now thoroughly angry and furious. She continued to stay silent until Hiro turned away, probably so that he wouldn't keep looking at her and now she could see that was making efforts to not look at her. No doubt trying not to offend her. Bad luck for him though considering the fact that Youka was always offended and in a permanently bad mood. Youka continued glaring at Hiro even after he turned away. If looks could kill well.... Hiro would be dead. Youka almost said something right before Hiro started talking. He had essentially just cut her off to say something rather trivial. It may have been helpful but nonetheless trivial. She made a mental note to stay extra mad at Hiro. " I'm well aware what you are here for. Why else would I make a request for anything?" she asked as she walked closer to him. Once she arrived right in front of him she looked straight up at him having to crane her neck a lot. She glared at him and smiled a sweet smile. The glare and smile were very contradictory for any one looking her but not in her mind. She would enjoy this, thus the smile. Youka continued glaring and smiling at Hiro before punching him as hard as she could in his crotch. After doing so she took a few steps back and turned away. "DON'T under ANY circumstances let me catch your eyes wandering. My eyes are on my face you idiot. If I catch you doing so I will have no choice but to give you more pain. " As soon as she had finished speaking she turned and triumphed at the pained look on Hiro's face. She smirked happily before adding, " Also despite my looks I can and will hurt you. Don't go thinking you're just hurt because it's a surprise and you weren't paying attention nor expecting it." With her addition to her original sentence she stopped smirking and started looking menacing. Which in all honesty was hard to do with such a cute face but somehow she was able to do it a lot. It was getting fun actually. Youka stayed silent as she waited to see what Hiro would end up doing. Her silence ended when she thought back to his questions. "I requested a mentor because I'm a level one and don't know anything about this game or how to use anything it. But don't let my level and lack of knowledge make you think that I'm easy and weak. In the real world I'm held my own in quite a few fights and will fist fight you if needed." When Youka finished speaking she cringed on the inside. That last sentence was maybe a bad idea. She probably shouldn't fistfight a monk class type. That was like asking for an instant death with her level. However, she'd still do it for the sheer sake of pride and the fact that the monk Hiro was extremely offensive. Despite his stupidity and smiles. Word Count: 758+640=1,398 Tags: Hirosame

It didn't take that much longer for things to really start going on. Having hoped that the girl would've looked past his obvious and idiotic mistake, Hiro was more than willing to even try this all over again. But, for some reason, the girl started walking towards him. It seemed strange, though, that the girl who had been glaring at him so intensely was now walking up to him in a rather calm and relaxed fashion. Hiro stood up, accentuating the difference in their heights even moreso, as she craned her neck to look up at him. He couldn't tell from the distance, but her eyes were actually purple. Not a rare sight in this world, mind you, but it wasn't common, either. Hiro started to grow increasingly worried as she had begun to smile, after having spoken just a few moments before. She had stated that it was more than obvious as to why he was there, to which he mentally scoffed at his stupidity once more. However, his eyes were then locked with her's, but he was unable to tell what exactly her plan was for getting so close all of a sudden. At least, that is, until he was hit by a truck.
His mind suddenly went blank. The sudden force that was applied to his lower region struck him quickly, and the message that was sent from nerves-to-brain was that of an immediate reaction. Hiro's eyes widened, and he slowly began to understand what had just exactly happened. His mouth started to open in shock and surprise, but no audible sounds could have been heard from his opened mouth, save for a few sharp, quick, high-pitched tones. The girl began to speak, telling him to refrain from doing such a thing again, unless Hiro enjoyed nut-punching. Spoiler alert: He didn't. As the girl began to move away, Hiro began to slump to the ground, holding his hands over his crotch. The girl continued talking, but he couldn't really hear it over the intense pain that he had felt wash over his body. It was then that his eyes shifted over to his health bar, and noticed that not a single point had been taken away. Confused, he felt the pain suddenly relieve itself from his body. Oh, right. He thought. I don't take damage from level 1's. It must've been the fact that being hit in the nuts in the real world causes pain for every guy, no matter who it happens to.
As such, he stood back up, as the girl was finishing up her statements, brushing off his clothes. "Oh, that so?" He asked, his voice returning back to normal. Looking at the girl, he didn't really believe that she had been in multiple fights before, specifically fist fights. But, looks can be deceiving, so he took her word for it. However, despite her asking for a mentor, she did just hit his testicles. Whether it actually hurt him or not is irrelevant. So, in all actuality, he probably should just up and walk away. "Well, if you're able to fight from the real world, then just integrate that into this now." Hiro said, looking around a bit. "Honestly, if you fight like you would back in the other world, then it's not that much different." He was being sincere about this fact, though, since it wasn't all that much different. Sure, in this world, he was much more agile, and more capable of moving around, but that knowledge had become a muscle memory of his, so he wouldn't be surprised if he could at least do a back-flip if, and when, they get back to the real world. Once again, the thought of up and leaving the girl where she stood crossed his mind, but then a rustling in the leaves beyond the nearby trees caused him to stop.
As if on queue, a Young Pittered Boars, level 5, started to emerge from the forestry. Since he was much more than a higher level to it, it ignored him. The monster didn't, however, ignore the Assassin nearby, who was still only level 1, and immediately shifted its attention to her. The beast was probably egged on by the sounds of conversation and such from the path, and decided to wander on over. While normally Young Pittered Boars were docile, this one seemed to be different. It had a froth forming at its mouth, and, upon looking at its status bar over its head, Hiro confirmed. It had been afflicted by the Rabid debuff: Making its AI switch from Docile to Hostile, increasing its overall damage and health, at the cost of losing any independence at all. Smirking just a bit, Hiro turned back to the girl. "Well, how about a trial by fire, eh?" He announced out loud. Hiro walked back to the rock, sat down, and started to look at the girl, then the Boar, then back to the girl. "Just try fighting as you normally would back in the other world." Hiro began to lean back a little, before stopping himself. "Oh, you might also wanna equip your weapons. I don't think you're a monk, so fighting it without weapons won't go over well, now, will it?" If her HP got too close to 0, he'd intervene. But... He wanted to see how this would go. The smirk staying on his face, he began to watch.

Youka frowned as she listened to his response. This man had turned pompous. May have been the fact that she was violent towards him but it only proved what she believed. That everyone merely put on an act of being nice. That wasn't the point though. Hiro had clearly been in the wrong. Ya don't have wandering eyes around violent angry girls. That's like the worse idea in the history of ever. Youka turned back towards Hiro and glared at him. " If I was a monk than I wouldn't need a mentor. I don't use weapons generally in the real world but here I chose an assassin thinking that OH I DON'T KNOW I'd be playing safely on my computer. " She ranted before breathing heavily and adding," and one oth-" her words where cut off when she heard rustling. Youka looked over towards the rustling to see a boar thing come out of the bushes. She sighed and equipped her armor and weapons after Hiro challenged to fight it. This would be great considering the fact that she really couldn't fight with weapons. Might as well try... she guessed. She sighed again. Her weapons consisted of a starter kunai in her left hand and a starter katana in her right. Her armor was plain black leather armor that was a standard for assassins. Well now she wouldn't look pretty but might as well be protected rather than dead. She rolled her eyes and glared quickly at Hiro before turning to face the Boar thing. Her best bet would probably be to use her kunai and use the death stinger. Then if that didn't do the trick she would pull the kunai back and try again. Plan B was to rush at it with her katana and use sword rain flurry. She whispered, " Death stinger..." as she coated the kunai in poison and threw it at the boar. Hopefully the kunai would hit it. And the kunai did hit it. She smiled. The boar was not dead, to her dismay, but that wouldn't stop her. She didn't step down from fights. Funny considering she nearly got hit in the face with a broken beer bottle multiple times until someone did and now she has a weird scar on her cheek in real life. It was totally cool. Totally. Youka pulled the kunai back with the rope that was attached to it. She then said the name of the skill and threw the kunai back at the boar with all her force. " Just die!!!!!!!" she shouted at it. The boar however, did not obey her and didn't die. But the kunai still hit. The poison that had been on it would now maybe take it's toll on the boar. Hopefully it would considering that it wasn't fun if the poison didn't work. Youka pulled the kunai back and this time didn't throw it again. Instead she threw it down next to her and held her katana with both hands. She smiled happily. Still smiling Youka rushed at the boar and shouted, " SWORD RAIN FLURRY!!!!!!!!" as she pierced the boar several times in rapid succession. Or rather she tried to. Instead she tripped and fell on her face. Talk about lame. That wasn't the problem though. Her fall had, apparently, made her HP go down a few points. The hell? She tried to get up but the boar rushed at her and hit her really hard in the face thus knocking her HP all the way down to 20%. She was most certainly screwed and it was extremely doubtful that Hiro would help her. He was probably getting some sort of kick out of this. The boar had stopped attacking for a bit and Youka used this opportunity to get up and run in the opposite direction and ran past Hiro. Like hell I'll die...like hell!Tags: HirosameWordcount: 644+1,398=2,042

Hiro was waiting for things to begin, as the girl had spoken about the fact that she hadn't chosen Assassin with the intent of actually controlling the body herself, and thought that it would be left to the system. A rational thought, since nobody was told that they would be put into this game, but it still meant something to put forth the effort to learn how to deal with the hand you're given. Since this girl seemed to be incredibly sure of herself in a fight, Hiro figured that she would either prove him wrong here, and actually beat the monster through sheer skill, or that she would need a hand towards the end. Leaning more towards the latter, Hiro waited for things to begin, all the while watching her movements. A keen eye was kept on how she reacted and attacked. The main problem she had was that she wasn't moving enough to even be considered an Assassin. While having used the move Death Stinger was a good choice, since Poisons applied Damage over Time, it wasn't something that you opened up with immediately. Then again, she's level 1. Her accessible skills were probably pretty limited.
That being the case, Hiro also had to keep in mind that the girl was level 1, so her combat experience in this world was probably minuscule at best. So, instead of judging her based on her skill usage, he looked for how she moved with her body, and using her weapons. The basics of fighting stemmed from balance in your form, as well as the ability to move around flexibly. As it stood, the girl had neither. She seemed to just be attacking, in whatever way she knew how. Sure, she was using her skills, but that still didn't account for much. His eye caught sight of the monster's health bar, as she was fighting it, and noticed that the Damage over Time debuff had been applied, but it was so small that it likely wouldn't make a difference. Even after having used it again, it only refreshed the duration, but still only applied a small amount of damage. If this girl was serious about learning how to fight in this new world, then he had a few things right off the bat to teach her. But, that wasn't for right now. That would be whenever she either kills this monster, if her HP gets too low, or if she asks for help. The last of those seemed very unlikely, given the girl's personality that she has exhibited thus far.
When the Death Stinger hadn't worked, she switched over to her Katana, and began to use a skill through that. She went into it just a bit too overzealous, though, and ended up tripping over something. Hiro winced just a bit at this, but figured that she had merely over-calculated. However, the second that the Boar had made contact with her, Hiro's mind switched from being an observer to being an active participant in the fight. Hiro stood up slowly, watching the boar as the girl ran by him. Smart move, to go towards the higher-leveled person in order to escape further damage. She may have noticed that the playful smirk that had been on his face just a few moments prior had disappeared, and an aggressive glare towards the Boar had taken its place. Hiro took a few steps forward, before breaking into an all-out sprint towards the beast. Since it was afflicted by its Rabid debuff, it wasn't phased, and continued straight on towards the girl. Hiro wouldn't let that happen. Leaning down just a bit further, Hiro grabbed the boar with one hand, raising it high above his head. The boar itself was up to about his kneecap normally, and yet there it was, in one hand above him. Hiro clenched his grip down tighter on the boar.
Shifting all his weight through his body, he launched the enemy into a nearby tree, which it slammed into, leaving a small dent in the tree. Hiro quickly followed it up with a powerful roundhouse kick into its body, pressing it further into the tree. The raw damage from the impact alone was enough to kill it. This was just intended overkill, as a deeper mark was left on the tree from the impact of his kick. Landing back on one foot, finishing the rotation, and placing his other foot down, he looked over to the girl, before slowly walking over to her. "If you were serious about the whole Mentor thing," Hiro began, "I suggest that you try not to rely on your skills so much." Hiro opened up his inventory, to pull out a small tablet. Holding it out towards the girl, he continued. "Here, this should bring your HP back to full." Keeping his hand outstretched, he adopted a soft smile. "Sorry about earlier. Hope we can try and work things out. I know I can teach you a good deal of stuff, if you're willing to learn from me." After that, he looked over towards the tree where the boar had been finished. If it wasn't apparent enough for the girl, Hiro had some strength in him, and she might genuinely be able to learn some stuff from him, to help her out in this new world. If she'd accept the invitation, of course.

Youka watched in fascination as she watched Hiro kill the boar in what was basically one move. She didn't show it one bit though. It was a little bit interesting with how fast he had taken out the boar. She decided that Hiro must've been a high level. She glowered at Hiro when he offered her a health tablet and his assistance in training. She didn't speak or move from her spot past Hiro. She continued to glower and start glaring at the monk intensely. She stayed silent for a few moments and continued to stay silent as she walked towards Hiro to get within a good distance. She accepted the HP tablet. ' Youka studied the tablet. How do I use it? She furrowed her eyebrows at the thing and frowned. She held it up in front of her face and poked it with her free hand. " Weird....." she whispered to herself. Youka took the tablet out from in front of her face and held it by her side before responding to Hiro's questions. " Skills? Mentor?" she asked angrily before adding ," You do realize that the request was a mistake? I really don't know why I even came. It's probably a waste of time." In truth, her last sentence was probably true in some sense to others but to her it meant everything and made every lick of sense because even if Hiro was an extreme high level and able to teach her a lot she still had no want to deal with him. If she had her way Youka would probably go straight home. Home as in her actual real world house. Where she could maybe be happy. She worked from home and didn't leave her apartment except to get her groceries and to go to bars every weekend. It was a good life, maybe not for others but the the life did work for her. It was one of the things that made her happy. The others being to hold weapons in her hands because that made her feel safe and complete silent. Youka somewhat cut off her wandering thoughts by speaking again. " Why should I be willing?" she asked before plopping herself down into a sitting position on the ground due to her legs being tired. The girl had taken the tablet, though she didn't eat it right away. Or, at all. If she enjoyed having health as low as that, then that was her prerogative, and probably not as much of a concern of Hiro's as it should be. Despite this, though, he couldn't help but wonder if this girl was going to be okay on her own. She very obviously believed that she didn't need anybody else, which Hiro respected, but at the same time, she didn't know much of what to do with herself. Since she had supposedly chosen a class that she wasn't comfortable with, it made sense that she would be a little awkward with the mechanics of it early on. However, if someone's more than willing to spend time and help them learn how to at least fight in a decent enough way in this world, and she's probably just going to reject them, then that may come across as moderately foolhardy and stupid. Even the prefect timing of that boar showing up, in Hiro's mind, was to help solidify the point in her mind that she needed to learn how to fight a bit better, but such a thing was to no avail.
Just a few moments later, the girl had admitted that the request for a mentor was a mistake. Now, he wasn't entirely sure what she meant by that, whether the mistake was her filling in something to request a mentor on accident, or if she regretted making the decision to sign up for one, and was definitely not pleased with who answered the call. Either way, though, this girl was definitely not pleased with the results of things, at least, from her demeanor and attitude. By her mentioning that, he was actually wondering why he showed up, as well. If this girl wasn't going to give him anything to work off of, not even having told him her name yet, then there really wasn't any point in being there. She hit him in the dick, called him a few names, and then basically said to his face that she made a mistake in coming here. He had every right to just turn around, walk away, and bill her for the tablet he gave her, which was anywhere between 500-1500 Gold. Man, did Hiro want to just do that. This girl wasn't pleasant to deal with at all, and doing something of quite that level of assetry would feel so justified. He wanted to do that, but...
Closing his eyes a bit, he let out a sigh. She's gonna get killed. Hiro thought to himself. While this girl wasn't super nice to deal with, she still needed to at least know how to survive in a battle. And Hiro thought that she knew this, as much as he did, which is why she didn't leave yet. As she sat down, she asked him a question. Looking over to her, he thought about it for a few seconds, before answering. "I think you know exactly why." Hiro said, adopting a more neutral tone of voice. "It's probably one of two things, I'd say. First of which being: You're tired after that little squabble, and you don't really feel like moving at this point. The other is that you learned just how much you know about fighting in this world." He turned, and leaned up against a tree next to him. "You saw how you weren't damaging the boar that much, and then you tripped and fell when using a different skill. You got a bit too overzealous, and you paid for it with a huge loss in HP." He paused for a few moments, to figure out what exactly he was going to say next. Whatever he said now would either cause the girl to stay, or have her leave in an angry hurry, another smash in his nads on the way.
"You're smart." Hiro moved his thoughts back to the fight. "I watched how you fought, and when the enemy had the clear advantage, you fell back to gain some ground. Whether that was your intention or not, that's what happened. Not to mention, you took a bit of a gamble and ran so that the enemy would be in the proximity of a supposedly higher-leveled person." He turned to her. "You're smart enough to know your weaknesses, and how best to win that one fight in the easiest way possible." Hiro looked back ahead of himself, crossing his arms. "Honestly, you could've killed it yourself. That's why I think it'd be beneficial for you to stay and learn a bit. You just need to know how to fight, and you'll be just fine on your own, from there out." It was true that fighting monsters was probably the best way to gain money in this game as well, so if she knew how to do that, she could make a nice living for herself. "But," He continued after a moment. "I'm not saying that you have to learn from me. If you'd rather find someone else to learn from, then far be it from me to stop you. However, I'm right here, and I'm still willing to help you out." His head turned slightly toward her, as he looked at her out of the corner of his eye. "So, we find ourselves here again. I can teach you a good deal of stuff, if you're willing to learn from me."

" Just because I need to figure out things doesn't mean I need to learn them from you...." Youka said with her voice trailing off towards the end. This was clearly not going the way she'd like it to be. Hiro was making some extremely correct and obvious observations. She didn't like that one bit and it kinda pissed her off with how possibly helpful and patronizing he was being. It's not like she didn't know of her limits and faults. Youka had only been in the game for maybe like two days in all. All that she had been able to do was find a place away from any people whatsoever and one that was safe. Youka put a palm on her face and sighed. If she said yes to the help she needed extremely this would be tedious and extremely annoying. However if she didn't accept the help she'd never get anywhere in the game and be screwed for life if she was stuck in the game forever, probably killed a lot too. She weighed the pros and cons of each choice in her as she watched Hiro silently as she took her palm away from her face. She looked down at her lap where she had set the HP tablet for a few minutes before saying something. " How do I take this?" she asked. As she waited for a response Youka frowned. Would accepting Hiro's help really be worth it? Is he trustworthy even slightly? Would she be able to deal with him through all this without blowing up at him or having a break down? All these questions and more swarmed through her mind. They weren't pleasant. " If I accept your help with I really be better Hemo?" she asked angrily. The anger dissipated slightly when she realized she had said his name wrong. It sounded so close to Chemo or Homo. Youka started giggling and fell forward onto the ground and rolling around on the ground giggling profusely for around five minutes before getting up and wiping dirt off her dress as if nothing had happened. It wasn't the best idea to do that but she couldn't help herself. Youka pulled up her menu and changed into her usual attire of a lolita dress. She also put her weapons up because there was no point in having them out if she wasn't going to be using them. In the end she decided that she didn't want to accept Hiro's help. It would be helpful but she didn't trust him at all. Youka stood on the trail silently for a moment before turning halfway towards Hiro. " Come with me. You'll get lost.." she said just loud enough for him to hear. Her tone wasn't necessarily aggressive nor was it nice and it wasn't neutral either. It was a mixture of many things. She crossed her arm and slightly blushed which easily showed on her pale skin. " I-It's not like I like you or anything....B-B-Baka!" she added after a bitch of a silence. There were a few things about this girl that downright pissed Hiro off. The fact that she seemed to be either pissed off or upset 24/7 was a bit of a killer for him, since he usually was quite the opposite. Her assault on his testicular region is a sure-fire sign that he should've just left this girl where she stood. If she was that willing to wind back and attack a guy's weakest area without much provocation, or something of that nature, then it's a definite reason to avoid her like the plague. What really got him was the fact that she had absolutely no idea how to eat a health tablet, one of the most basic functions of survival in this world, and yet she's still so damn sturdy on not needing any help. Sure, probably not from him, but if she's like this with him, then she's lucky that it isn't a different person, because anybody else would've smacker her in the face with whatever weapon they had, sent her back to the cathedral, and forgotten her existence. As much as that sounded appealing, Hiro wasn't the type of person to do such a thing. Perhaps his optimism would one day be the death of him, or maybe that day has come.
While it isn't in his nature to take kindly to asses, it also wasn't in his nature to leave somebody without a much bigger reason. Not that he cared much for this girl, but more as a work-ethic kind of thing. He had signed up for this, even if she didn't mean to, and he was going to see it through until she'd had her fill. Let it never be said that the Leader of Apocrypha was one to give up on a mission. So, he was going to stay as long as he was needed for. However, when his attention snapped back to reality, she was wondering if him helping her would actually be beneficial to her. That, followed by a very short slip up on his name, then lead way to her enjoying her own little laughing fit. While most others would've marked her off as crazy, turned around, and walked away, Hiro found himself chuckling a bit as well. He was definitely reading into it way too much, moreso than he would've normally, but the fact that she attempted to use his name was more than enough of an effort on her part. Until then, he'd only been referred to as "you" or something derogatory. Once again, reading into it just a bit too much, but perhaps she wanted to give him the good ol' college try.
After her incredibly long laughing spell, she dusted herself off, and changed into her other clothing. This was followed up by her telling him that he'd get lost. Something that bothered him just a bit, for sure. Squinting over at the girl for a few moments, he thought. I've been in this forest more times than you've won a fight, kid. Don't get cocky. His thoughts were cut off by her next line, which brought him to a sudden state of shock, surprise, and wonder. Did... Did she really just use one of the most basic Tsundere lines there ever was in existence? Not only was it completely out of nowhere, but it followed up an incredibly long silence, for some reason. Either she was joking around in an attempt to make nice, or she actually, really meant that. Dazed and confused for just a few seconds, he found himself starting to laugh a bit. She was even blushing. It couldn't get any better than this. Very quickly, though, he tried to get his laughter under control, so as to save his loins from another sudden impact. The pain wasn't there at all, but being hit in that area regardless is enough to send any guy holding his groin in pain, just from the idea of the attack. Hiro cleared his throat, after he stopped his bit of laughter.
"Alright, fair enough." He said, a smile having returned to his face. He probably wasn't going to do the whole mentor thing for a little bit longer, at the least. If she wanted his help, then he would. If she didn't, then no problem. He'd let her take over with the fighting, should some monsters appear. Actually, speaking of which, he should probably mention. "If we were going to go anywhere in particular, then I'd suggest that you eat that tablet. You don't need any water or anything, just pop it in your mouth and chew. The level of that medicine should be enough to heal you back to full, no problem." He paused to give her a moment to eat it, if she was going to at all. "I would recommend taking it, though, especially because of that monster from earlier. Rabid monsters don't usually travel alone, nor do they show any mercy to those around or lower than their own level. In some cases, they will even attack much higher leveled players, despite how stupid that is." Small lecture: Over. Whether she ate the tablet or not at this point made no difference to him. He was more than certain, though, that they would be seeing some more monsters soon enough. For now, he thought it might be good to try and fight something weaker, like a slime or something of that sort. But, he wasn't going to make any moves for right now. He'd wait for her to make a decision.

Youka could kind of sense the fact that she had made Hiro angry or think she was hard to be around after she had said the complete tsundere line. Which she had meant but that wasn't what made him pissy or think she was hard to be around. It was more than likely her personality in general combined with the fact that she was kind of an idiot and that the first thing she had done upon meeting Hiro was punch him hard in the crotch. The punch hadn't done anything considering they were inside of a game but since he was like level 90 or something and she was a level 1 it hadn't done any damage except damage his opinion of her. All in all it was a great first impression in Youka's opinion. Normally she'd do something much more violent or brash. This was in fact, a good thing for her. Another reason that Hiro would think that she's hard to be around is that fact that she was mean, aggressive, and constantly angry all wrapped up into a tiny little person. Youka also made no moves to hide said anger and meanness whatsoever. One could say that Youka wore her feelings on her sleeve and used her anger at the world as a protective wall to keep her heart and self safe from any harm. But back to the topic at hand. Youka could sense the fact that Hiro wasn't happy or content with her at all. He was probably really mad at her since she was nothing but rude. Youka stopped her thoughts and tried to just concentrate on Hiro. Try to figure out what he'd do next and gauge how he felt about her. She was silent and staring intensely at the monk when he started laughing. Youka blinked and looked at Hiro with her head cocked to the side slightly. " Uhh...what's so funny?" she asked in a mono/aggressive tone. Her tone was odd but it somewhat got the point across, er it did well enough. She saw that Hiro had shocked expression on his right before he started laughing. Why?...Maybe because he didn't think she could be nice or funny? She frowned. Youka wasn't trying to be funny or nice or anything like that. In all honesty she wasn't like that at all. That wasn't her. Not whatsoever. " I meant it...and again how do I take the tablet?" she asked. Youka waited for Hiro to finished laughing and reply. He did. Eat it? She guessed that made sense, a little bit at least. Youka popped the tablet in her mouth and started chewing on it. It didn't have a taste at all. Weird. She continued listening to Hiro as she chewed the tablet until it was gone and her health was all the way up. After that she just zoned out a bit. She caught like maybe a little bit of what he said, just maybe. She glowered and started walking back in the direction she had originally come from. " Come on." she said as she walked. "I'll leave you behind," she added after a tiny moment while still walking. Youka smiled inside. This could maybe be fun. Just maybe. She wasn't really sure where she was gonna go but eventually Hiro would probably follow her. If so she got training, if not she just left him somewhere. He was high level so he'd be fine. Probably. Win-win situation for her. Word count: 582+2,927=3,509 Tags: Hirosame

A few moments after Hiro had finished saying what he had said, the girl had started to move back towards the direction that she had came from. It struck Hiro as slightly weird, that she'd start going the opposite way, since there were likely to be other monsters up ahead of them. But, then the thought crossed his mind that maybe she just wanted to leave, and might need a bodyguard. Then again, she probably didn't even really want him there, even as a bodyguard. Despite this, though, she beckoned him to come along. Putting his hands into his pockets, he followed her up. He wasn't close to her at all, though, since she might just think that he was too close and decide to whirl around and hit him again. While it wouldn't deal any damage, he still didn't want that to happen. At the very least, he knew that the road that they were now going along was the one that would eventually lead back to town, and that the possibility of another monster or something showing up was always there. He secretly hoped for that eventuality, since he wasn't quite done here today. No, there was at least one more thing that he wanted to do. {Wanna read Hiro getting smacked in the groin?}Through this forest lead the path to Sarum, and then eventually over to Moon Dance Forest, where his personal house was. While staying at the Palace was nice, he still liked to go off on his own to enjoy the quietness of the spirit forestry. And no better way to do that than to head straight to the forest that he had helped connect to the Adventurers. Either way, though, he would stick with this girl for the time being, make sure she didn't get killed on the way back, and then head out there during the later portion of the day, barely making it there by nightfall. While he was lost in thought, however, he had fallen just a bit too far behind the girl, and started to walk a bit faster to catch back up to a safe distance. He wasn't entirely sure why he started to move slower, only that he had. It was only upon looking at his status bar that he noticed it. A Slow Debuff was put on him. Confused, Hiro stopped in place. "Uhh?" He questioned to nobody. Turning around a little, and looking down at his foot, he noticed that there was a small Garden Snake that had attached itself to his leg, without even realizing it. "Huh, that's strange." Hiro said, leaning down to pick the snake up.
He ripped it from his leg, which didn't hurt at all, to stop the poison from being refreshed for every second that it was latched onto him. Bringing it up closer to his face, he observed it. It definitely had the Rabid debuff, and he knew that the poison from a Snake was buffed while under the effect of this status, changing it from just a poison to a poison and a slow. As he looked at this unpleasant surprise, he started to bring his arm into a throwing position, when he looked up to another surprising sight. A full grown Pittered Boar, level 10, inflicted with the Rabid debuff, was hurtling right at his face. "UWAH!?" Hiro shouted in surprise, as the monster collided with his face. Shocked and confused from that instance alone, he was completely unaware of the second boar, a Young Pittered Boar, also inflicted with rabies, was flying straight toward his back. Having messed up its trajectory, it crashed into his ass, throwing his pelvis forward. And, once again, unwittingly, a third boar, Young Pittered, Rabid, threw itself forward into his now-thrust pelvis, firmly sandwiching his crotch. All of this happened within a second's time, and Hiro had no idea how to even react to this all in one sitting.
It hurt. It hurt a lot. It hurt just like a guy getting kicked in the balls. As the three boars and snake moved away from the Monk, he was left writhing on the ground, making an inaudible painful sound from his mouth. Slowly reaching down to cover his loins, he finally got enough breath in his lungs to shout. "DAMMIT!" He began to roll around in pain, for a few seconds, becoming less and less paralyzed by the sudden attack. One would think that he was inflicted with both a stun and a paralyze debuff in that time, despite no such occurrence happening. Finally, after a few seconds of rolling around, he began to get back up onto his feet, staggering as he did so. "Why would you do that!?" He shouted to the animals that clearly couldn't speak or understand his words. "You don't just aim straight for a dude's dick!!" Having almost fully regained his wind, he stood back up fully, looking over at the monsters. He was still in pain, yeah, but he was about ready to kick some serious ass. His health regeneration kicked in, healing him up from the minuscule damage that he had taken, and he stood straight up, breathing in deeply. Whether the assassin stopped where she was or not wasn't really his concern. What mattered right now was the enemies before him.
He smirked a bit, as the monsters waited for him to react. "Hey, Assassin!" Hiro shouted, turning slightly towards her. "Lesson number 1! When you have a clear advantage..." Hiro looked back to the enemies, and closed his eyes for a split second. In that instant, his entire body became alight with flame, turning his body into a silhouette made entirely of white, red, and yellow fire. His eyes sprung open, having turned orange in color, resembling much of a Tiger's eyes. "Abuse the shit outta it!!" Crouching for just a second, Hiro disappeared, and reappeared directly in front of the Pittered Boar, slamming his fist down onto it. Crushing it entirely, it disappeared into data. Using his momentum, he began to spin his legs around on the ground, performing something akin to the Windmill in break dancing, causing both of the Young Pittered Boars to vanish. He vaulted backwards onto his feet, and held his open palm out towards the garden snake. Smirking at it, a small ball of energy began to form in his hand, which he blasted only a second later, thus ending the snake. The blastwave knocked one of a tree's lowest-hanging branch back a bit, which rebounded and swung right back at Hiro. Being totally unaware of this, he took the full-force of the branch directly to, you guessed it, his crotch. This knocked him out of his current state, and sent him back onto the ground, rolling in pain.
"GOD DAMMIT, NOT AGAIN!!" Hiro shouted. Hiro suddenly had a moment where he thought he saw something that was akin to what could've happened here, yet for some reason, he found himself walking along the path like he had been normally. Whatever that thought he had was, it was definitely weird, and sounded fairly painful. Just the thought of it caused his lower torso to ache a bit, and a slight cringe to appear on his face. Hopefully the Assassin girl didn't turn around to see his otherwise pained expression, and just start to question why she allowed him along further. He shook his head a little, wiping the thought from his mind, took a deep breath, and looked ahead. It was then that he had realized that he had never been told the girl's name, nor did he ask for it. As much as it would be nice to refer to the girl in this post by her actual name, the fourth wall prohibits the writer from doing so. So, as far as Hiro, the character, knew, this girl was just "girl" or "Assassin." Then again, even mentioning such a thing is a breach in the fourth wall, so perhaps it would be best to have not mentioned it at all. Hiro then began to wonder why something was writing out what he was doing and thinking. It only took a few seconds for him to shrug at it, basically brushing it aside, as a figment of his own imagination. But, that scene played in his mind again in an extremely fast way, causing him to realize that there could very much be a snake very quickly attaching itself to his foot. Just to make sure, Hiro stomped down on the ground sharply as he continued walking, with nothing happening as a result. It probably was just a sudden daydream he had. Then again, why would he hallucinate about being hit in that one place several times, after having been bit by a snake? Was there actually something on his mind that caused him to think that such a thing were actually going to happen? As crazy as it sounded, it couldn't possibly be true, could it? Eh, screw it. Hiro thought, rubbing that thought from his mind as well. Even if it were true, it would just be painful. He continued along after the girl, realizing that he hadn't said a thing for a little while. However, perhaps this girl actually did prefer the silence, as apposed to making some kind of conversation. While erring on the side of safety, Hiro found himself wondering what exactly what this girl's name was. Maybe he'd find it out in due time, or maybe he never would. All this aside, he continued on after the girl, taking a slight look over to the side. Trees, rocks, grass, snore. Nothing too exciting going on. It was a calm enough day, but the absolute silence was probably going to drive him nuts. He cringed at that thought, specifically the word 'nuts' stood out. To help relieve himself of the pain of that thought, he thought to ask a question. "So, what's the plan now?" He spoke, after a little bit of a silence. Probably just one question for now, since he didn't want to bother the girl with an avalanche of questions. The less this girl disliked him, the better, probably. Then again, he might not necessarily be able to get into this girl's good graces, since he's known for doing some relatively stupid stuff from time to time. And by time from time, he knew that it was generally all the time. Sighing as he realized this, he continued along after Youka. I mean the girl. The Assassin. Not Youka. That's her name, but Hiro doesn't know that. He will at some point, but not right now. Her name. The name of Youka. The name chosen specifically for the purpose of naming Youka. Youka's name... That name? YES, THAT NAME. =__=* Gotcha covered. [1797 Words] Tag: YoukaNotes Editted: K, so I didn't remove it, I just added on a different thing. Youka continued to walk along the trail in silence as she walked down the trail. She took a quick glance back behind her to see if Hiro was following her. He was, in fact he was a little bit away from her; probably because he assumed she would punch him or something again. She smiled to herself at the thought since it was a tiny bit funny but in all honesty she'd take offense at him being close to her so it was a very viable or believable thing for her to do. She hated it when people got into her personal space at all, and people in general. They were annoying and self-centered. Also if someone was in her space she wouldn't trust them not to try something and it was pretty irking to feel someone breathing down her neck. It was just flat out creepy and such a weird feeling... Youka should her head to rid herself of wandering thoughts. It was silent but she had to always be on hyper-alert around other people. She didn't trust them, not one bit, especially strangers. She frowned and turned back to see Hiro still slightly a ways behind her. She shot him a quick glare knowing full well that Hiro could see her from where he was. Hiro wasn't that far behind her after all. Youka quickened her pace slightly. Normally, it would've been fine but she wasn't really paying attention to where she was walking. Of course she wasn't. Youka tripped on a rock that was peeking out of the trail where it was stuck and went flying. She didn't scream, shout, cry, or anything like that. Youka had never been the kind to show weakness, or at least not since she was around sixteen or seventeen years old. Now she was twenty one. Youka ended up hitting face first on the ground about five feet away. She stayed face planted on the ground for a few moments before sitting up and rubbing her face. She kept a near perfect poker face but frowned slightly. " Course I fall. Freaking idiot Youka...." she said rather loudly. Hiro really did somewhat wonder where exactly they were going to go. He probably should ask her that next, although he was going to be patient enough to wait and see if she would respond to his earlier question. Although, it didn't seem like he was going to be getting much of an answer, as the girl had turned around for a moment to give him a swift glare, before turning back to the road ahead. Somewhat surprised by this action, Hiro's eyebrow raised in question, but soon returned to the normal state that he was in. He let out a sigh, lowering his head a bit and closing his eyes. It certainly seemed like any kind of conversation wouldn't spark up right away, but he didn't mind waiting for an answer. Unless that glare was the answer that she meant to give, in which case he probably shouldn't have thought a different answer would've come. This girl... Hiro thought to himself, opening his eyes back up to return his vision to the road. As he did this, he noticed that she had hastened her speed a bit, for reasons unknown. Maybe she had finally had enough of his company, and didn't intend for him to follow any longer. Of course, this was until she tripped over a rock. Yeah, a rock. There on the side of the path. Not even in the middle, and she managed to trip over it. Not only that, but she fell forward a few more feet than she probably needed to, landing perfectly on her face. The fact that this even happened was one thing, but she didn't stand back up until a little bit later, where she could have stood right up. It was like even she was caught by absolute surprise by the whole thing. Then again, she definitely was caught by surprise, or else she would've seen the rock and avoided it. The whole thing just sort of happened out of nowhere, and at first, Hiro didn't know what exactly to think of it. Once he processed all of it, though, you can bet that a snicker could be heard from him a second later, followed only by a short fit of laughter. It wasn't the uncontrollable, hysterical kind of laughing, though, as that would only warrant a few more bruises on his body or several death glares. No, this was more of a genuine laugh. Perhaps in Hiro's mind, he had solidified the fact that the Assassin was some kind of cold hearted person, who only had one emotion left: Anger. Hiro calmed himself down a few moments later, the laughing dying down slowly. No, she wasn't some kind of emotionless person, as she had portrayed, or at least attempted to portray. She must've had her reasons for trying not to show others anything but what she'd shown him, and it absolutely wasn't his place to pry. But, such a silly thing happening all of a sudden reminded him that he may have been a bit too quick to judge this girl. "You alright there?" Hiro questioned, a smile still on his face. He managed to hold back a few more chuckles, barely, for her sake. She might be embarrassed at the end of all this, so now would be the absolute best time to not try and be on her bad side. If he could make some leeway with this, then there might be a decent chance that the girl would open up enough to allow him to teach her a few things, just to help her survive. That was the point of all this, anyways. Hiro still felt that she knew this, and that she still realized that he might be able to help her. What they were doing up until now, just walking down the path, was a bit questionable in his mind, though this random occurrence might have just opened up an opportunity for something like a friendship to start. He walked over nearby her, at the expense of what might happen to him for being too close, and extended out his hand for her to grab. He didn't expect her to grab it at all, but thought that it might be nice of him to at least offer. Hiro fully ditched the smile he'd had on when he was laughing, and just reverted to a normal one. "So, before we keep going forward," Hiro began. "I should probably ask where you were planning to go from here." He looked to the side for a moment, as he continued. "It'd be nice to know if you had a place in mind, or if you were just having me tag along for a little bit." He kept quiet for a few moments, as he left the conversation lie for now. Whether she had known it or not, she had actually given him her name. Youka, huh? Not a bad name, actually. He thought. Hiro wasn't about to just say her name out of nowhere, unless he needed to at some point. Just knowing it made things a little easier. Hiro kept his hand outstretched, for whether she accepted or denied his offer to help her back up. Youka stared at Hiro's hand intensely. He had offered it to her after she fell. He had also asked her if she was okay. Youka frowned as she started rubbing her face. She pulled her hand away from her face and opened her eyes wide. There was blood all over hand. Her face must have taken quite the hit and force when she hit the ground with it. She wasn't unused to a bloody face though. It was pretty typical considering she got into a lot of fights in the real world. She was surprised there wasn't any pain in her face but it was to be expected since one couldn't feel pain in the game. Probably a good thing to be honest. She wasn't exactly in a good mood and if she were to feel pain she'd probably start punching things. Though it'd be kinda funny for her considering the only thing near her was Hiro. It wouldn't be so funny for him. The thought of punching the daylights out of Hiro was too much for her to handle, more specifically the image. It sent her into a hysterical fit of laughing. Youka was now giggling uncontrollably. It probably looked really creepy since her laughing had her smiling hugely and brightly. Add that smile with the fact that her face was covered in blood and possibly dripping with it well...one could see why. Youka didn't care one bit though. After a while, by a while means about five minutes, Youka stopped laughing. She started staring at Hiro's outstretched hand. He was clearly wanting to help her up at least and he had asked questions that she should probably answeray. " I'm okay." she said in response to the first question before taking his hand with her bloody one. She wasn't fond of touching his hand in the slightest hand but it was an insignificant. Before he could help her up Youka took her hand away and got up herself. She really didn't want to accept his help. It just wouldn't do. She also would rather not touch him in any other way than a violent way. Either way she wasn't that fond of pretty much anything to do with touching him. After Youka stood up she thought for a little bit and stayed silent the whole time. Still staying silent she wiped the blood off of her hand and onto her dress. She wasn't that concerned about it. " We're going to a different place in the forest. It's not near the town but it's not exactly far from it either. There are probably monsters there." she said curtly before adding, "Anyway let's go."

As Youka had turned her head to face Hiro's hand, Hiro finally caught a glimpse of her face after she had tripped. On the outside, he made no change in facial expression. On the inside, however, the sudden change in how he had seen her face, now covered in blood, caused him to freak out suddenly. One would've imagined that anybody else would've likely shot their hand back, and ran screaming into the forest. If that wasn't enough to do it, then the sudden maniacal laughter that she spouted directly afterwards would definitely have done so. But even then, the fact that the Assassin then continued to laugh for about 5 minutes was something that even Hiro himself had a hard time dealing with, in some respects. However, he managed to hold himself through all of that, and kept his hand out, on the incredibly off-chance that she might take him up on it. She had also brushed her hand up against her head for some reason, and her hand was now splattered with blood. Not a very common thing for one to see, no, but definitely something that one wouldn't really forget. After Youka managed to calm herself down, she answered his first question, saying that she was fine. While fine probably wasn't the word that Hiro would've used to describe how she seemed, he took it that she was alright enough to be able to get up. Just as he was thinking of taking his hand away, her bloodied hand reached up to meet his, causing him to be fairly shocked at such a thing even happening. In utter disbelief in what had just happened, Hiro looked at his hand in surprise, only to see the female's hand being taken away a moment later. He should've expected as much, though. Hiro was still confused as to why she had brought her hand up to his, if all she was going to do was basically just wipe some of her blood onto his hand. As she stood herself up, Hiro walked over to some nearby grass, and began to wipe off a bit of the blood. As he finished, he noticed that Youka was wiping off the blood onto her dress. While Hiro wasn't the type of person to criticize others for how they go about washing themselves up, he also didn't really know how to react when he saw this. The phrase "Don't wipe your hands on your shirt" didn't seem to apply here. She began to answer his second question, regarding where they were headed, in a rather vague response. Perhaps asking something as specific as where they were heading wasn't a good idea, except for the fact that it wasn't a specific question at all. Following it up, the Assassin mentioned that there would be monsters once they got to the place they were heading. Trying insanely hard to resist the urge to shout 'No shit, Sherlock,' Hiro just nodded his head. He decided that it might do him some good to just remain quiet about the whole thing, and let the girl take the lead. For now, he'd just wait until she started to move before doing much of anything else. "Lead on." Hiro said, curtly. He couldn't do much at this point, since he had no way of knowing where the Violent Loli was going to take him. Hopefully not to a place where she could just watch him get attacked for an incredibly long time, and laugh as things went on. If such a thing ended up happening, well, he might just end up calling it a day. But, he wasn't going to put any kind of constraints upon Youka for now, since he didn't know what exactly her plans were. For now, he'd be a good kouhai, and just follow where he was asked to go. Couldn't hurt, right? Probably not... Hiro shuddered a bit, wondering what exactly they were going to be up to next. Youka turned towards Hiro after he responded to her vague explanation as to where they were going. In all honesty she didn't quite know where she was bringing them herself. She was just kind of walking. Maybe she'd drop him off in town or just leave him right where they were and go home. Home sounded nice. All alone from any people... A small tear let loose out her eye. Hopefully Hiro wouldn't notice it since her face was covered in blood. Quickly getting out a handkerchief Youka used it to wipe all of the blood and her lone tear off of her face. There was still blood stuck to her eye patch and now she'd have to change it. She sighed and took off her eye patch. There really wasn't a reason to wear it. After her eye patch was off one could see that Youka had two beautiful violet eyes. One might wonder why Youka covered it up in the first place. It was a fashion statement for Youka. No real reason behind wearing it except the fact that she thought it looked cool and cute. Youka blinked a few times with both eyes as she opened her inventory to search for another eye patch. She searched for about two minutes before getting fed up. " Where is it?!?!?" she mumbled angrily before searching for another two minutes. There was no eye patch to be found. Youka sighed and placed the bloody eye patch in her inventory. She'd just have to make another one later on. For now she'd go without it. Youka felt a little naked without the eye patch since she hadn't taken it off during the whole duration of being stuck in the game, because of the now lack of wearing an eyepatch she started feeling vulnerable. For Youka feeling vulnerable always made her think of her mom. Images of her mom and childhood flitted through Youka's mind. Eating her mom's freshly baked chocolate chip cookies...her mom nursing her and feeding her chicken noodle soup when she was sick.. bed time stories. A wave of longing for her mom washed over Youka. A few tears slipped from her eyes down her cheeks. Youka wiped them away quickly hoping that Hiro didn't see them. He probably had considering she had no more blood on her face anymore. Youka turned away from Hiro and thought more of her mom. More longing and missing her mother ensued thus making more tears fall down her face. Soon Youka was really crying. She hung her head and kept wiping them away. Hiro couldn't see them now that she was turned away but she really shouldn't be crying at all, let alone in the presence of another person. Youka turned towards the side of the road and looked at the trees. The trees reminded her of her mother which only ended up making her miss her mom more. Tears kept freely flowing and she started sobbing. She didn't cry out mom or anything along those lines. Instead, she didn't say anything she sobbed and just sunk down onto her knees with her twintailed hair somewhat falling over her face. As he was mentally preparing for something drastic to happen, it seemed that Hiro was mistaken. Youka hadn't moved much, but it seemed like she was definitely thinking of something. He wasn't going to guess what she was thinking about, but he sure as hell wasn't gonna be caught off guard because of it. Just like that, he braced himself mentally for what would be coming. Instead, what he found was a single tear rolling down the girl's cheek, amidst all the blood. She wiped it away with a cloth, along with the blood, as she took off her eyepatch. Hiro's eyes widened a bit, as the female had revealed a rather beautifully radiant Violet eye from beneath the eyepatch. It was then that he had noticed that her eyes were such a color, and actually forgot to make a mental note of it beforehand. She started to rummage through her inventory, announcing that she was looking for something in a rather angry way, spending a few minutes on this. She had eventually given up, though, and she stood there. Eventually, though, Hiro noticed a few more tears coming out of her eyes. Hiro had no idea what to think about this turn of events. Youka, the Violent Loli, suddenly tearing up? And to top that off, he had no idea why! Could it be that she suddenly remembered something from a long time ago that made her sad? Maybe she really liked that eyepatch, and she hated getting it messy. Or... Maybe she just missed home? Hiro could understand that sentiment, but he'd been in this game for far too long to be acting in such a defeated way, though he felt sad over not being with his family for so long. Soon enough, Youka was sobbing, and she slowly slumped to the ground, her eyes being covered up by her hair. She had turned away a little while ago, so he couldn't really see the tears themselves, though the sound of sobbing was unmistakable. Hiro felt that he needed to do something, to try and cheer the girl up. But, the biggest problem he was facing was: He had no idea how to cheer someone up, whom he'd never actually known what made them happy. Caught between a rock and a hard place, he had two options: Leave, or try and do something at all. Even making her angry right now would stop her from crying. Probably... "U-Uhh..." He stuttered. He made a few more sounds similar to that, in a rather confused and unsure fashion, as he tried to think of something to tell her. "Well, uhh... Youka?" Hiro finally said, after thinking for a few moments. "I... I don't know exactly what's wrong, but you don't need to be upset." He had no idea what to say, after all, so he'd just try talking. "L-Look, I know our meet-up hasn't been too great, nor has it been very fruitful, but... I don't think you should be upset about anything right now. That really, only... Only puts a damper on what we're out here to do..." Something clicked in his mind. Maybe she was upset because he hadn't been very kind to her? He immediately started to panic, because if he caused this girl to cry, then he needed to make up for it immediately. Finding something akin to a resolve, Hiro knelt down to the ground, and gave her a traditional Japanese bow. His head was low to the ground, so he spoke a bit louder. "Youka, I'm sorry that this mentor thing hasn't been helpful to you, and I'm sorry that you're crying right now. I'm willing to attempt to make up for today, in whatever way you would like. If I'm not the cause, then please allow me to stop you from crying anymore. Because..." Hiro hesitated for just a moment, as his face brightened up a bit. "Girls with pretty eyes... Shouldn't soil them with tears..." He wanted to murder himself for saying that. That was so corny. But, if it helped her stop crying, then it would be worth it. Silently damning himself, he hoped it worked. [695 Words] Tag: YoukaNotes: She could start laughing at him for all he cares. XD Hiro's not a fan of people crying. Neither do I, but that's beside the point. It's a common trait, I figure, but it's a good one.

Youka glanced at Hiro through her hair when she heard Hiro start trying to comfort her. She couldn't see him very well through her hair and the tears in her eyes but she could hear him well enough. He seemed really freaked and slightly awkward. Probably because he didn't know why she was sad or how to comfort her. No one knew how to comfort her in all honesty. Youka herself didn't even know how to comfort herself. On the off chance that she did cry Youka would usually just cry until there weren't any more tears left. Youka kept crying and closed her eyes as she cried. She opened them quickly and turned when she heard a loud thump on the ground. Hiro was kneeling on the ground in a traditional Japanese bow with a panicked look on his face. Why is he doing that? Should she be concerned? Youka blinked several times. It was almost a little funny that he thought he had done something wrong. She wasn't crying because of him. She was crying because of her mom. Youka was lost in thoughts when she was taken out of them suddenly by what Hiro said. It was possibly one of the cheesiest or corniest lines she had ever heard in her life. Girls with pretty eyes shouldn't cry huh? If that were the case she also shouldn't be covering up her eye with the eye patch either but clearly she still did. Youka smiled a tiny bit at the line. It was just so corny it almost set her off guard even though she was still crying. Soon Youka was laughing really hard with tears flowing out of her eyes. This time the tears weren't sad ones they were the cause of laughter. Youka was rolling on the ground howling with laughter. Her cloak fell off of her while she was laughing and revealed a long black intricate and winding tattoo that covered the entirety of one of her arms. The tattoo closely resembled a snake wrapping itself around her arm. A big snake made out of ink. It took Youka about a minute to realize that her cloak had fallen off. As soon as she did Youka stopped laughing and shot up into a sitting position quickly. She grabbed her clock and threw it over herself thus covering a lot of her hair and a lot of her body. Hiro wouldn't be able to see her tattoo anymore and only really some of her front. " What did you see?!?" she snapped questioningly.
