After having mentally damned himself for seven thousand years for using such a stupid line, Hiro was more than prepared for her to turn around, smack him, then walk away. But, to his surprise, he looked up to see the Youka's expression turn into more of a smile. Tears were still in her eyes, though her expression was definitely changing to more of one that resembled some kind of happiness. Eventually, though, she broke out into absolute laughter. Feeling a bit of a weight carried off of his mind, Hiro stood himself back up, and brushed off his clothing. While he was only trying to stop her from crying, he managed to garner the best possible outcome: She was laughing. Whether it was actually from what he said, or just from how stupid that one line sounded, he at least helped make the tears stop falling. That was more than enough for him. Finishing his brush-off of his clothing, Hiro looked up to face Youka, whose cloak had fallen off, revealing a snake-like tattoo on her arm, looking like it was wrapping around it in a constrictive manner. Hiro pondered asking about the tattoo, but figured that it wouldn't do him any good to ask her about her own choices of her own character. Instead, he brushed it off to the side for now, keeping it in mind, and just smiled a bit as the girl seemed to be enjoying herself with the laughter. Though, in his mind, he wondered how and why the girl has such a tattoo on her person. While it certainly seemed to fit how she acted, it didn't make sense to keep it hidden from sight, if it was just for her own benefit. It was only a minute later that she had realized that she had exposed this part of her skin to him, to which she quickly reattached her cloak, and barked at him if he saw anything. While he more than wanted to ask about the snake tattoo, he knew that getting on her bad side now was probably not the best thing to do. She had just finished laughing, having recovered from her bit of vulnerability. To ruin this right now would definitely not bode well for him. Though, her cloak had fallen off for a while, and she might have noticed that. So, to lie would to insinuate some kind of brash beating or something of the like. So, he'd be truthful. "I saw that tattoo on your arm," Hiro began, before shrugging. "But, I'm not gonna ask about it." Hiro reverted to a more neutral expression. "I think it wise not to ask about things I shouldn't know, unless you wanted me to know. As such, I won't mention its existence to anybody." Perhaps one of the more neutral things he's ever done, though it is for a good cause. Like he thought before, getting on Youka's bad side right now would certainly bring about the wrath of the Violent Loli, and he didn't need that right now. He'd take the benefit of knowing that she stopped crying as a victory, in and of itself. As such, Hiro began to look around, scanning the area. "And, don't worry." Hiro spoke after a few moments of silence, before returning his gaze to her. "Nobody else is around, so it'll be like your cloak never fell off." Hopefully, Youka was feeling like refraining from hitting Hiro for such things, and she'd just let it slide that he wouldn't talk about it. Hiro isn't so petty that he'd go around telling people about this one girl's arm that has a tattoo, but Youka didn't know that herself. Instead, he'd have to show her via his actions. Speaking of which, Hiro felt it best to change the topic. "Whenever you're ready to move, then." A soft smile returned to his face, waiting for her to begin moving once again. The secret would lie in this one spot, never to be spoken of again. [670 Words] Tag: YoukaNotes: Another "meh" kind of post, but hopefully a start to Youka trusting Hiro? I know, I'm optimistic. XD

Youka was being extremely careful to keep her tattoo hidden. She always was. Her moment of vulnerability followed by a sheer fit of laughing really pissed her off. If it hadn't been for that she never would have had to deal with her cloak falling off and revealing her tattoo. It wasn't special or anything at all. It wasn't even that much of a fashion statement. She had just liked it on her character in the game. Nonetheless Youka hated showing people any part of herself. That included her arm. Even though the other one was covered in bandages she wasn't that concerned about it. The bandages themselves were just for fun. Youka shook her head slightly and glared at Hiro. " So you're going to trick me into trusting you by using the fact that I hid my tattoo?" she asked angrily before adding even more furiously, " As if it didn't fall off? Are you kidding me!?!?" Youka shot glare daggers at Hiro. If looks could've killed well Hiro would probably be dead. While Youka was seething with rage she didn't bother to put her cloak back on but instead added more angry voiced words to her earlier statement. " You're not going to earn my trust. Ever," she put extra emphasis on the ever before continuing," I don't know why you think I would trust you. Because you saw me cry? Because you used a cheesy line in an effort to stop my crying? Because you saw my tattoo?" Youka threw off her cloak, which landed on the ground a few feet away from her, and pointed at her tattooed arm with the bandaged one. " See this!? It's just a tattoo. Nothing more nothing less. Now stop thinking about it. Hell STOP TRYING TO GAIN MY TRUST!!" she finished with a yell. Some might have thought her to be angrier than she usually was but the anger she showed by shouting was by no means the minimum or medium amount of anger she felt at people, the world, and now Hiro. Youka stood up promptly and walked over to her cloak before grabbing it and putting it back on. She stayed standing still after she put the cloak on as she waited for Hiro's reaction. And just like that, it was back to how things were beforehand. While Hiro had enjoyed the moment where Youka seemed to be relaxed a bit more at his presence, she brought back the meaning to the name Violent Loli. Hiro knew that he probably couldn't get any headway with this girl, but it was definitely worth a try. Then again, in his defense, her reaction to her cloak having fallen off indicated that she was somewhat defensive over the tattoo. Either that, or it exposed more of her chest, which Hiro didn't pay attention to this time. She then began to motion to the tattoo itself, trying not to make a big deal of it. Hiro got the message, lord did he get it, and Youka wanted to make sure of this fact. As much as he did want to gain this girl's trust, she was definitely not going to just let him in quite as easily as that. If she wanted to leave him where he stood, without giving him any further chances, she would've let him behind, and not even give him a moment to attempt to catch back up to her. But, instead, she stayed right in her spot, as if she wanted him to say something as a retaliatory remark. Perhaps he could just say nothing, and start moving away from her. Leave her behind, and see how it goes from there. But, he knew that if he did that, one of three things would happen. One, she would just stare at him and yell at his as he left. Two, she would chase him down, and start to hit him a few times. Three, she would chase him down, and shout at him for leaving her behind. All of these were just guesses, and none of them sounded particularly nice. If he stayed and said something to her, that would initiate further conversation, though where the conversation ended might not be quite as enjoyable. But, leaving the girl, who had a super bi-polar moment just a little while ago, didn't seem like a good idea. Especially now that she was frothing mad. He found himself between a rock and a hard place again, not necessarily knowing what to say. What he did know was that she wanted him to say something. He wasn't entirely sure what she wanted to hear, nor what she wanted him to say, so that would be up to him to decide. He couldn't break out another line like he had before, since that was probably a one-trick pony, so he'd need to think about what he says from here. Half of him, though, was still willing to just turn around and leave. She definitely didn't seem quite so interested in learning anything from him still, nor did she seem to enjoy his presence. By the same coin, though, she didn't seem to want him to go. As such, Hiro shrugged. "Well, you figured one thing out." He gave a defeated smile. "Yeah, I was trying to get you to trust me a little, but I wasn't going to trick you." Raising his head, Hiro turned to look a different direction. "I'm not so petty that I'd try to trick somebody into trusting me. No, I'd very much prefer to earn their trust, by their terms. But, if you want me to stop trying, I can't promise that I'd be willing to stop." Hiro was verbally digging his own grave by this point. He wasn't going to lie at a time like this, because he knew he'd still try and gain even a shred of trust, while they were still both in the same place. If he couldn't gain any ground in the time that they were both out here, then it'd be damn near impossible to garner trust in the future, unless they happen upon one another at a later date, which seemed rather unlikely. So, for now, he was willing to let things go for now, but he wasn't going to promise that he'd back off entirely. Hiro didn't know if he should say much of anything anymore after that. She'd probably have a bit to say about his last few words, but he'd let that come, should such a thing happen. He wasn't ready to give up on this girl quite yet. She still had more things to learn before she could brave this new world. If she could at least learn how to fight, then she would be set. She could make as much money as possible, and then never have to deal with anybody ever again, for all she cared. But, in order to be able to teach her, she would need to trust him, and understand that what he teaches her will help further down the road. That was the obstacle that currently blocked that road, and Hiro was more than determined to clear it. So long as she would listen and learn, Hiro would feel like he did a good enough job. This was no longer solely about the mentoring and teaching Youka how to fight and survive in Elder Tale. It was now his mission to make sure that she could survive, whatever the costs. Even if she didn't want his help. Even if she hated him for it. And so, his resolve was to earn her trust. Whether or not he noticed, this resolve burned in his eyes right now. "You may think it a pain in the end," Hiro began. "But I'm not gonna give up yet." This probably meant nothing to her, though his spirit radiated from his body, hopefully inflicting his determination on the girl. Youka stayed still and silent in her spot while Hiro talked. She didn't move an inch. Hell, she didn't even fidget. Youka had never ever been a person that fidgeted. Honestly she had never known why. Youka continued to stay silent for a few minutes after Hiro finished speaking. She wasn't really thinking about what he had said that deeply or really..well..at all. It popped into her head but what he said hadn't nor would, matter to her. He could think or say or do whatever he wanted. Hiro wouldn't be able to gain her trust. No one had ever won her trust at all. There was the occasional time Youka trusted a person a tiny bit. Like when she gave her things to the dry cleaners or ordered takeout. But even then Youka knew for a fact that the people who were handling her food or laundry only did so because she was paying them and it was just a job. Finally after about maybe seven minutes did Youka say something. " Even if you never give up on trying to gain my trust you'll just end up trying forever. This game makes us immortals as long as we're stuck in it you know. Trying to gain my trust over and over again is really just futile. I won't stop you no matter how annoying it is but it's grave to dig. " The tone Youka used when saying this wasn't an angry one, it wasn't neutral and it wasn't happy. It wasn't anything, well maybe monotone but if anything it was a calm collected voice and tone. Youka could act all she wanted, which she was doing, but in the seven minutes or so she spent thinking and enjoying the silence that followed she had a slight chance to think her blowing up at Hiro and also what cards she could play. No matter how much she may have hated Hiro and the fact that she was pissed at him, still is, she did need the training that he could offer. The training that she would receive by being even the slightest bit of nice or at least calm with Hiro would get her to the point she needed to be at. Well close enough to where she would be. It was painfully obvious that she was nowhere where she needed to be based on what had happened earlier when she had to fight the rabid boar or whatever it was. Youka frowned before saying another thing again. This time with anger and slight conviction traceable in her tone, " I reeaaaaalllyyy don't want to work with you or be near you at all. However, it's obvious that I need the training and you're pretty much willing to help me however I might need which that in itself is extremely weird by the way." She then turned towards the direction that had originally been walking before she had previously tripped which caused some things she didn't care to remember. Not one bit. Youka started taking a few steps in said direction on the trail before saying rather loudly, " Well come on. I haven't got all day. I have other plans unlike some people." Youka added extra emphasis on the some in her last sentence. Word count: 545+375=920 Tags: HirosameNotes: well she hasn't hit him...yet~~ -smirk- anyway hope you enjoy this. Well, it seemed that Youka had calmed down a bit for a little, responding on more of a monotone voice. She was certainly silent for a long time, though. What she was thinking about in that time, Hiro had no idea. And asking would likely get him nowhere, so he decided that it would be best to just let it go. What she had pointed out, though, was rather right. So long as Hiro had an opportunity to try and earn her trust, he would probably give it a go. Even though the odds of such a thing seemed pretty slim at the moment, he was the kind of guy who liked to beat slim chances like this. Now, he didn't really feel like he had much of a shot to begin with, as the gravity of how little of a shit this girl gave about him was ever present, but he'd like to be able to earn her trust, if only to help her learn what to do here. That being said, though, after a shorter pause, she continued with what she was saying in a more violent way. She basically restated what he had been told beforehand, as well as what he already knew. Maybe she was finally understanding that finding another person to deal with her would be pretty difficult, as much as she hated dealing with him. After announcing that she didn't want to spend the rest of the day there, Hiro raised his eyebrow a bit. For somebody who honestly felt that they were wasting time, she sure didn't move much. Hiro wouldn't make this point, though, as that would also only cause some more trouble. While it bothered him a good deal, he wasn't going to cause any problems that would result in any more than there were already. She was starting to make a few steps down the path by this point, though, so Hiro would just fall in line afterwards. He was somewhat grateful for this, as it would bring them closer to wherever they were going to in the first place. He still had yet to even see this place that they were going to. Either that, or he had been there so many times that it had just become another part of the scenery to him, and he didn't pay much attention to it from then on. Either way, though, he was honestly looking forward to just hitting a few things. Whether it was a building, a monster, or even the very ground itself, he felt like he needed to punch something, anything at all, just to help himself cope with how this day has gone. A rather pessimistic thing for him to think, but it's gotten to that point. He didn't expect this day to start off quite as it had, especially once Youka came into the equation. But, he wouldn't complain about it, because everything, in his mind, happens for a reason. Maybe this was a bit of a test of his patience and understanding, if one could even consider it as such. He thought a bit more deeply on the subject, as his feet carried him along behind the girl. Not far behind the girl, but still far enough that she likely wouldn't just turn around and hit him. He then found himself getting lost in thought once more, thinking about what he should do the next day. Well, he had the possibility of signing up for some more mentor jobs, as helping other people out from time to time was a rather nice thing in his mind. He wouldn't go overboard with doing too many, though, since even he needed breaks sometimes. Aside from that, he could do some more research into other projects that he had in mind. While he was thinking this, his gaze started to run further off to the right, looking into the forestry. He kept his pace up, without realizing it, and tried not to change his speed at all. If Youka had started to move a bit faster, she would likely lose him in the forest, though he had a strange feeling that she wouldn't let that happen. Call him crazy or weird, but he was actually kind of looking forward to when they got to this place she spoke of. It should be fun, he thought. Youka walked along the trail silently and slightly in front of Hiro. All she could hear were the sounds of the forest and the footsteps of her own feet and also Hiro's. Youka quite enjoyed the silence that followed. She didn't particularly want to be near Hiro in the first place and only tolerated him because she desperately needed the training. She was going to take Hiro to a section of the forest that was close to wear she lived. Once Hiro finished training her, probably in vain hopes of gaining her trust, she would probably leave Hiro in said place and go home. She already had what'd she would need for the next few days in her inventory so it wouldn't be like she needed to desperately go to town for a while. Hopefully Hiro would know his way back to town from where they would train seeing as Youka had no interest in telling Hiro how to get back to the town. Worse, he could follow her in vain hopes that she would lead him back to the town. Youka frowned and shuddered at the thought. That didn't need to be happening. She didn't want any one to be near her or know where she lived. Upon further thought as she walked with a slightly faster pace Youka realized that Hiro probably wouldn't do that for fear of having her act upon her Violent Loli impulses. Youka sighed in relief and smiled slightly at the fact that she had just referred to herself as a violent loli. Though if she did get violent with Hiro it could be called," Return Of The Violent Loli" Youka chuckled softly at her star wars joke. If she ever got a friend she might make that joke with them. But who was she kidding. Youka? Make a friend? Like hell girl don't got time for people's bullcrap. A few moments after Youka chuckled at her own joke they arrived at a small open spot between all the trees in the forest. It was almost a field but it wasn't big enough. Youka walked to the middle of the mini field thing and stopped before turning to Hiro. " This is the place!" she yelled in a slightly annoyed and definitely aggressive tone. After a little while of further walking, Hiro and Youka had both arrived at a place that he had actually been to before, on a few separate occasions. While it wasn't a massive clearing, it was definitely one that had a good deal of open space, especially for a small opening inside a forest. Hiro had to wonder how and why such a place existed in a large forest, much like the Windsor Greatwood. Not only this, but how and why did Youka know of this place? Such questions would likely warrant a few smacks to his head, so he figured that it might serve him better to not ask such things. She had laughed to herself a few moments ago, as well, but he wasn't going to ask about that, either. Probably something silly, or something he wouldn't really understand anyways. That being said, though, he was still confused as to why they had to find some enemies to fight here. There were plenty of enemies back in the forest that they could have had battles with... Unless that wasn't her intention at all. In any case, though, he decided that he should probably get a decent look around, before much of anything else happened. The treeline from which they had come from wasn't all that far from where they currently stood. If need be, he can just rush back there and get some decent distance from the girl, should she decide to attack. Then again, if this was going to be a situation where he was to be attack, then he needn't worry about a thing from her. What he was actually worried about was the possibility of some monsters showing up and attacking Youka, which could ultimately end up ending her. That wouldn't necessarily be a good thing, now would it? As such, Hiro closed his eyes for a moment, and listened to the silence around them. Nothing but the wind could be heard for the time being, though that didn't mean that there weren't any monsters anywhere nearby. Hiro breathed in deep, trying to catch the scent of anything, though he knew that this wouldn't be quite as fruitful as he had hoped. The scent of the trees and grass was too strong to be able to smell anything in particular, like the scent of blood. One might be wondering how and why he did any of this, though if one remembers that he's been here for quite a long time. He's used to how things work now, and can tell them apart. After having processed all of these goings on, it seemed like she was about ready for whatever it was they were here for. Hiro couldn't necessarily tell what it was that she had wanted here, but he figured that he might as well ask. Adopting a calm smile, Hiro spoke. "So, what's the plan from here?" He shifted his body to lean onto one side instead of standing at full attention. "I'm assuming that you have a plan of action for what we need to do now, and I would love to know it myself." As much as he wanted to just wait and let things happen, he knew that he needed to be well prepared in case the girl decided that she wanted to make a move and hit him. Perhaps she was the kind of person who liked combat with other people, instead of with monsters. A smug grin started for form on his face, as he continued to speak with the girl. He was going to get cocky, in order to aggravate her slightly. Opening up his menu, he put his hand onto a slider of sorts, and started to drag it down, until it hit "10." After that, he looked back up to the girl, and smirked some more. "There, I've lowered my level to be close to those of the monsters nearby. So, whenever we see a monster, we can get things started, alright?" This would give her the perfect chance to strike at him now, since his level had been severely decreased. As if to signify the change, a clapperboard animation appeared over his head, and a comic book style text with the word "Action!" appeared next to it. Shortly following that, he started to decrease in color saturation, mimicking that of a black and white film star. He waited for her next move after this. Youka growled at Hiro when he asked what they would be doing as per her plan. As if she knew. It was extremely rude of her not to know but hey she had never played the game before she was stuck in it and had a next to none knowledge to able to know what to do next or for a plan. She could probably attack the monk easily and actually do some damage now that his level was lowered extremely. Hell she'd love to do it at that particular moment but she desperately needed the training and it'd do her no good if he was wounded. No matter how much she wanted to hurt him.... Youka looked away from the monk and sighed as she thought deeply. " What do you think?" she mused loudly. It was half thinking out loud for her and also half a question to Hiro himself. Youka sighed and ran her hands through her long white safety hazardous hair. Youka removed her hands from her hair and covered her face in frustration. Leave it to her brain to freeze up when absolutely didn't need to. Youka started growling with her hands still covering her face when she heard something. She took her hands off her face and looked around. Nothing was in the field aside from her and the monk but Youka didn't trust that. Something was out there. She wasn't sure what but nonetheless there was something. Youka backed up a bit on reflex until she hit something. Youka glanced behind her and noticed that she had backed into Hiro. She hung her head and growled but made no move to move. Word count: 273+1,299=1,572 Tags: HirosameNotes: daT last part cuz why7 not

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro raised his eyebrows in confusion, standing back up straight. She wasn't going to attack him at all? Not even a little? She was probably thinking it. She was probably really thinking it, and she absolutely wanted to hit him at least a couple of times. At the very least. But, to his surprise, the girl just turned away and muttered something snarky back at him. He was genuinely shocked. Hiro was surprised that the girl chose not to attack him, when he was basically asking for it at this point in time. The skill he had activated to turn his body into a less-saturated color slowly dissipated, and he returned to his normal colors. He was very confused with the girl at this point in time, but he didn't have anything else to go off of at the moment, so maybe she had some other motive behind what she was doing? That seemed slightly unlikely, as she didn't know that much about the game. That much was fairly clear to him, since she didn't seem to know everything that she probably could know. Perhaps this was the real reason she kept him around? To help her learn what to do in this kind of a situation?
This was about where the mentor would step in, and start teaching her how to fight or something, but at the same time, it looked like something else was going on. She seemed distraught about not knowing what to do right now, but she also seemed to be noticing something that he didn't beforehand. Something behind where she stood, on the opposite side of her from where he stood. He couldn't have been able to tell if anything was over there before, since his thoughts were mostly focused on if she was going to attack him. He began to stare off into that direction, looking to see if he could identify anything, but he couldn't exactly tell what was over there. It was about this time when he felt something warm bump up against his body, causing him to look down immediately. There was the Violent Loli, her head turned up to look at him, who then immediately hung her head and began to growl a bit more, as she had been just a little bit before. Hiro didn't know exactly how to react to this, either except that the girl in front of him was probably either worried about what she may have heard, or angry that she had just bumped into him. One of the two.
Hiro was about to move himself, when his attention shot right back up to whatever it was that Youka had heard, seeing a small boar appearing from the wilderness beyond. It seemed to be rather weak, and upon closer inspection of its stats, Hiro smirked a bit. Without turning to face the girl, he placed a hand on her shoulder. "Ready to redeem yourself from earlier? Time to a lesson." Hiro motioned to the boar with his other hand. "It looks to be just the one for right now, so you should be able to take it. It's level 2, but you're an Assassin. Your speed and skills give you the edge you need to take it down, without too much of a problem." He took his hand off her shoulder, and started to move over to her right side instead. "Before going in to fight, I want you to apply Deadly Stinger to your weapons, and charge it full force. Land a blow, and then maneuver around until you get another opening to strike. From there, it should be easy enough to take down." He turned to her, nodding to her reassuringly. "It should only take a few hits to take it down. I believe, no, I expect you to kill it without taking a hit." Turning back to the boar, he crossed his arms. "Do that, and I won't ditch you here without further training." Giving this a decent amount of leverage and weight was hopefully enough to spur the girl's fighting spirit, he thought, as he waited for her to begin the battle.

Youka continued growling and more specifically started growling much louder when she felt Hiro place a hand on her shoulder and also saw the boar. In all honesty she was a little scared of the boar considering what had happened the last time she tried fighting. Youka lifted her head and stared at the boar. It hadn't seen to notice her yet. A look of fear passed over her face before being replaced with her usual look of anger and possible violence. Youka hoped that Hiro didn't notice the momentary look of fear pass over her face. She couldn't have anyone think she was scared of anything. It wouldn't do for her because for one it would just piss her off and for reason number two she absolutely hated it when people felt sorry for her or " wanted to protect her". Protect what? Nothing because all they wanted to use that as an excuse to get closer to her or use it to make her owe them a favor which was another thing that Youka hated. Youka listened intently to Hiro's instructions/challenge as those thoughts raced through her head. " I doubt the fact that you'd ditch me here if I didn't do it... you're not the type to do that. Otherwise you'd be long gone by now," she paused before raising her voice slightly and continuing, " besides you feel sorry with me and are staying and helping me because you want to be like a knight in shining armor," she lowered her voice to a whisper, " but guess what? You're not a knight nor are you like one."
With that last comment Youka got out her weapons from her inventory and used her deadly stinger skill on them, which meant that she coated her weapons in poison. Youka also put her armor on and placed her kunai knife on it's holder that was located on a belt. Word count: 318+1,572=1,890 Tags: Hirosame
