Another ordinary day. Just one more ordinary day. That's all that Hiro asked for. With all the recent amount of fighting he's had to do, mentoring, crafting, research, heading back and forth between London and Moon Dance Forest, dealing with Elder Yamamoto in the village, tending to his personal house which he never had a lot of time to stay at, and at least three other things of which he could bitch about. All of this helped drive him to a point where he felt that he should probably just take a week or something off. Luckily enough, though, today didn't seem like that much of a busy day for him. Finally, a day off from the norms of life in Elder Tale. Having the ability to just wander around town for a little while, it felt like he was cheating something by doing this. He wasn't tired from all the work he'd had to do, but he certainly could've used an emotional break from all the moving around he's done. While he didn't want to recollect on everything that'd happened beforehand, he sure as hell wasn't going to let it all just sit there. But, that's for another time. Hiro had decided to go wander around town for a little while today, since tomorrow he had more work to do here. He would've much rather headed back to his personal house in the forest, and just veg out for a little while, but that wouldn't be possible until later on in the week. Hiro made sure to clear up his schedule for a little while during the weekend, just to make sure he got some decent time to himself, but since he had the day off, he was likely just going to do whatever came into his mind today. As he thought this, he felt his stomach rumble slightly. It was just a little before noon at this point, and he hadn't had anything yet for food, so he decided he'd go find a burger place or something to grab some food from. Hiro changed his heading, and made his way over to a food district within the city, which seemed to be doing well as always. Grabbing a burger and some lemonade from one of the stalls, he started to walk away towards another, quieter plaza he knew of just a little ways nearby. He also had been there before on a different day off, which felt like it was years ago by this point. He just wanted to unwind. Just a day where he could go around and do whatever he wanted. Making his way to the other plaza, he found a place to sit down. A bench beneath the cover of a tree. Simple enough, yeah, but it would work. Immediately, the monk began to dig into his food and drink. It felt kinda nice to have something in his stomach, and it helped keep him calm as he thought about what he might like to do today. Once he finished his food, Hiro vaulted over the bench with one hand, and laid down beneath the tree, his right knee jutting up. He found himself fairly relaxed at this point, and just listened to the sounds of the birds and wind around him. Sure, there were sounds of people from a little ways away, as the lunch rush was beginning, but that didn't really mean much of anything to him right now. A light breeze brushed against his face, as he returned to his thoughts. Well, I could get some more supplies for the garage, could grab some groceries for the Palace, could... Grab another burger for... Later... Hiro was slowly losing consciousness. His eyes were slowly shutting on him, as he found his body relaxing with the wind keeping him cool. Or... I could get a bit more sleep... He thought, as his eyes fully shut. Maybe he was a bit tired. Well, hopefully, nobody interrupts him while he slept here for a bit. Hopefully. Two giant, blonde pig tails bobbed and swished around her petite frame as she made her way down the street, her green eyes observing the passerbys with little interest. The expression on her face was neutral, if not bordering on bored, and her pace was even, as if she wasn't in any particular rush to go anywhere specific. Inside, however, Artemisia was ready to burst. The small bag she was carrying, which swung gently with her stride, was stuffed full of various treats and confections. Although she did not show it, internally she was skipping down the street with a wide smile stretched across her tiny face. She absolutely could not wait to get somewhere quiet and savor the sweet taste as it melted slowly in her mouth, filling her very being with a moment of true bliss, incomparable to any other moment life could offer. It was a better feeling than defeating a monster or successfully completing a task for her guild. Her facade nearly broke as she thought about it, a small bubbly squeal almost making its way up and out of her. She cleared her throat, swished her long fox tail once, and straightened her shoulders. She knew of a shady spot not too far up ahead where no one would bother, or see, her. The promised spot came into view and a rush of anticipation washed over the sorceress, she had to restrain herself from actually running at this point. Just a few more agonizing moments and then she would have her prize...! And then she saw it... the intruder who dared to spoil the moment she had been longing for, the very reason she had been saving up her money the last few weeks, her one true goal for the day, everything else be damned... and someone was going to ruin it. Under the tree which she had been heading for was the outline of another person. Her entire expression just sank, her lower lip jutting out in an exaggerated pout. She wanted to see just who it was who would drive her to continue her search for a peaceful place to enjoy her treasures, further delaying the sweet moment she had been fantasizing about. As she stepped closer and the form took on a more clear and defined shape, her mood improved slightly. She recognized him. It wasn't exactly the moment she had been planning for but it wasn't a total wash as she had originally dreaded. Deciding this was still acceptable, Artemisia closed the rest of the distance and, once she was right beside him, looked down at the sleeping man by her feet. It was Hiro, the leader of her guild and a good friend of hers. It seemed she wasn't the only one enjoying a moment of bliss as he was peacefully napping under the tree. Shaking her head at the laid back attitude, she seated herself not too far away from him and opened the small bag she had been carrying. She slipped her fingers in and pulled out the first of many tiny candies and popped it into her mouth. Her entire body relaxed and her eyes slowly closed as the soft texture brushed across her lips and the sweet taste melted in her mouth. It only took a second for the delicious bite to be gone but a smile lingered on her face, her entire mood improved tenfold. Her hand immediately dived back into the bag and pulled out another piece. As she stared at it in anticipation, her large eyes drifted back over to Hiro, who was still sleeping soundly only a short distance from her. Grinning, she sank down onto her stomach about a foot and a half away, laying horizontally so she was facing him. Her fox tail swished mischievously - it wasn't too often she found him so completely off guard, the moment was just too perfect to pass up. Holding the confection carefully, she out stretched her hand, very slowly, and extended her pointer finger once she was close enough. The tip of her finger pushed into Hiro's cheek, indenting his flesh gently for just a moment as she poked him. She pulled her hand back slightly and turned it over, so her palm was facing up, with the treat resting in the middle of it, clearly offering it. “ Would you like one, Hiro?” She whispered, wondering if the poke was enough to wake him up. She hoped she didn't startle him. -- Notes: My first post since like... April. Please let me know if there's any issues with it. Words: 748 Tags: Hirosame, Youka

Youka was in an extremely pissy mood on this fine day. Albeit the mood was less pissy than her usual mood. Very odd considering the fact that she was in Londimunium for once. Which was really weird. Why was she even here in the first place? Oh yeah because she had run out of food in her little hiding spot. Also the fact that as much as she hated people it had been awhile since she had spoken to anyone. By a while Youka meant a few days, but even though she hated people Youka needed to be among them in order not to go mad as she only had herself as company. If Youka had been able to play the game safely on a computer screen she probably could've been able to at least make one friend which may have been nice. Just slightly nice though, nothing else. As she walked through town it was bustling with people. Probably because it was lunch hour, why she had chosen to come at this certain was beyond Youka. Completely and utterly beyond her. On the bright side she had a trusty inventory which meant that she didn't have to have her arms full of bags and bags of groceries. That would've pissed her off to no end. Youka continued walking and smiled a tiny smile at the thought of her walking through town with lots of bags. It reminded her of a time when she was maybe about six years old and her mom took her grocery shopping. The town she had lived in at the time was one of those really small towns where everything was like 2 minutes away from you and everyone knew everyone. Youka nearly bumped into several people and some even stepped on her hair. Youka would have to consider putting into a pony tail or a bun so that it didn't keep getting stepped on. She had kept hissing and glaring at the people who bumped into her and especially the ones who stepped on her hair. Youka continued walking through town and noticed that a lot of the buildings and the occasional tree were extremely pretty. If the town had maybe less people, say about like a population of 10 or so people she'd consider living in the town. Just maybe though. Even with less people Youka still hated people and didn't want to deal with them. One man in particular happened to piss her off more so than others. Maybe because he wanted her trust maybe because he saw her cry. Who knows? Not she. Definitely not she. To speak of the devil would be too personal for this situation but as Youka happened a tree with two figures at it she saw the man in question. Hiro was laying fast asleep on a tree. Youka rolled her eyes and sighed. Just what she needed to make her day "better". An overly tall almost puppy-like monk man. Youka smirked as a few thoughts ran through her head. Prank-like thoughts... Youka took a stick out of her inventory and walked up to the tree. She ignored the blonde girl who was sitting next to Hiro and eating candy. Youka held the stick in her hand and thwacked Hiro on then top of his head with it. Hard enough to leave a mark in the real world and maybe pain in this one. She wasn't sure about him feeling pain because of it but it would definitely wake him up. Word Count: 585 Tags: Hirosame @sugarygiggles Notes: Syl I love your tag name. It was too nice a day to be wasted indoors. At least, that's what Hiro thought. Through his closed eyes, he could feel the sun's head upon his eyelids. His mind was open to the world as it swirled around him, the breeze gently gracing his face with its calm coolness. It wasn't any surprise that Hiro had fallen asleep while enjoying the day as it went on. It wasn't all that long at all that he had found himself in utter peace and serenity. This was, however, until he felt a light poke at his cheek, then a sentence made by a rather familiar voice. Slowly opening his right eye, he found Artemisia sitting there, offering him some candy. He groaned a bit, and rubbed one of his eyes. His instincts kicked in, all of a sudden, and his hand grabbed hold of a stick that was being forced down towards his face. He slowly turned to see the attacker, whom happened to be the Violent Loli herself, but made no difference in facial expression. Instead, he simply clenched his fist, causing the end of the stick to crumble. He had done so so casually, that it looked as though he hadn't applied much pressure at all in order to break it. His nap now officially over, Hiro rolled backward, stood himself on his hands, and vaulted back up to a standing position, with a 540-degree spin for flair. Landing back on his feet, he looked at the two girls who had shown up with glazed eyes. Hiro let out a yawn, before rubbing his eyes once again. "Sup." He said casually. "No thanks, I'm good. Had a really good burger just a few minutes ago. Thank you, though, Artemisia." He finally showed a bit of a smile in appreciation for the offer that the fox-tail had made. He turned his attention to Youka, who was standing just a bit away by this point, and also gave her a smile. "Well, I'm surprised to see you again." The smile turned to a cheeky grin, but he said not another word. Instead, he made his way back over to the bench, and put his arms behind his head. Bringing his right leg to fold over his left leg, he sat there for a few moments, before continuing. "So, what brings you two out over here this fine day?" A simple enough question, though he was genuinely curious. The fact that all three of them were now in the same place seemed kind of weird to him, though he wasn't going to question it if he knew the reasons why. So as to not be a jerk, he figured that he might as well go first. "I figure I should probably answer my own question before I even ask for you two. I'm out here, spending a day off in a rather relaxing fashion. Or, as relaxing a fashion as I can think of. I've got a bit more work before my weekend, so I wanted to unwind." This was basically the gist of why he was out here today. Nothing else really to it. But, if they really must know, and demand that he explain what exactly he had been doing out here, he would explain the burger and the nap, and then sarcastically remind the two of them what had just happened a few moments before. But, the chances of them both wanting to get so deep into his day seemed highly unlikely, especially with Youka. Artemisia might, though, since it'd been a while since the two of them had talked. Sure, they probably saw one another in the Guild House from time to time, but that was only when both of them weren't busy, he figured. And, given Hiro's most recent schedule, his time off has been few and far between. Either way, though, he'd wait to see if the other two would talk about their days, or if they'd just blow him off entirely. If they did, then he wouldn't really blame them for it. He liked having some quiet time to himself, too. But, if they stayed, he was more than happy to talk a bit. Hiro stirred only a moment after she spoke and opened one eyelid to look at her. She smiled as he rubbed his eye and was about to offer him a “good morning” greeting when someone intruded on the moment. The monk beside her also noticed the additional person, which was fortunate given that he was the one the supposed attack was focused on. Artemisia turned to look at the newcomer with an expression somewhere crossed between confusion and irritation as she brought a stick down upon Hiro. She didn't recognize the girl but she assumed they knew each other – unless this girl just had a habit of randomly assaulting strangers. But, why did she attack him? Whether he intended to or not, Hiro easily shattered the stick in his grasp... well, he was level ninety after all. It wasn't that surprising. Hiding a quiet snicker at how easily the 'weapon' was destroyed, Artemisia quickly moved her bag of goodies into her inventory, leaving her hands empty. Her sweet tooth was not common knowledge and she had no desire to let a complete stranger in on her little secret. The blonde watched her guild leader vault up into a standing position with a slightly puzzled expression on her face. Was this normal? Was he often attacked in his sleep? She, too, sat up, returning to a sitting position under the tree. She switched the expression on her face to even and neutral one but inside, she was rather irritated. Yawning, Hiro politely declined her earlier offer, which was actually to her benefit at this point. She didn't want to share with this girl she didn't know... the tiny bites of delicious were special and needed to be savored. He then addressed the girl, which confirmed that they had indeed met before, but the comment gave her little to go on. Casual as ever, he moved to the bench and sat down, getting comfortable quickly before asking what everyone was up to. He answered his own question immediately after, stating he was simply enjoying a day off. It had been quite some time since the two of them had had a proper conversation. Despite being in the same guild, they rarely had the opportunity to run into each other these days. Artemisia's green eyes drifted to look at the third person again while Hiro spoke, giving her time to consider his question. How should she answer this with this other person present? Certainly she wasn't going to admit she had just been out shopping for an enormous amount of chocolates. The other girl was visually very similar to herself, except in the chest department. They were both petite with much more hair than one person should ever have, although of different colors. Personality wise, however, they seemed to be quite different. Artemisia stood and stretched her arms over her head. “ I was just doing a little bit of shopping,” The sorceress answered after a moments pause, her arms falling back into place at her sides. She took the few steps necessary to walk over to the bench and leaned on the back of it, on the far side of Hiro so he was between her and this other person. Her blonde hair tumbled over the bench as she leaned forward, peeking around so she could see his face. “ I'm thinking of trying a new recipe soon, Hiro, if you'd like to taste test it for me back at the guild sometime?” She smiled at him, her eyes glittering with just a hint of mischief. She hadn't made a lot of progress with her chef subclass, despite a few failed attempts at it, so there was truly a bit of risk involved for the Monk should he take her up on his offer. He'd most likely be fine though. Most likely. --- Notes: Not much to say to Youka directly yet... not much in this post at all, really. Sorry. Words: 638 Tags: Hirosame, Youka

Youka frowned and took a few steps back after Hiro broke her stick. She hadn't expected to hurt him or anything along those lines. Just wake him up. Though why she wanted to wake him up was beyond her. Then again pretty anything that she did in the past week or two was beyond her. In all honesty Youka's mind had been extremely confusing and out of wack lately. That possibly had something to do with the fact she was stuck in a game and possibly going crazy from the reality of it. But hey whatever not that she really cared or was that concerned about it. Youka sighed. Her poor stick. Now how was she gonna be able to poke things...Youka would have to find a new stick which kinda pissed her off more than she already was because of the fact that she was around people and they kept stepping on her hair. Youka glowered at the thought and made an angry face. She studied the girl that was with Hiro. He had said slightly previous when he greeted the girl that her name was..uh..um.. Artemisia or something along those lines. Artemisia seemed to be a lot like herself in looks. Both she and Artemisia were tiny possible chibis and had long hair. They had a few differences but not many. Youka stopped studying the girl and thought back on Hiro had asked them and said about what he was doing in town or for the day or whatever. She then listened to the girl give her answer. So one of them was just enjoying a day off and the other was shopping for god knows what. Youka stayed silent for a few minutes before putting her hand on her hip and jutting her knee out. " Why should I tell you?" she asked Hiro haughtily while she glared at him. Youka also turned her head after saying that and shot a glare at the girl for good measure. Word Count: 333+585=918 Tags: Hirosame @sugarygiggles Notes: idek tbh i did this half asleep enjoy

So it seemed that Artemisia was just going to be out and about doing a bunch of shopping today. Hiro thought about how he should probably go do some as well, but such a thing would require doing that for others, and he didn't necessarily feel like doing that at the moment. Afterwards, she had offered to have Hiro try out one of her newer recipes, which even she seemed to not have gotten much work in on before. He wasn't all that worried about doing such a thing, but he also wasn't sure if he wanted to try something, only to have it fail before it even had a chance to be good. Such things are able to ruin the taste for a person for the rest of their lives, whether they knew it or not. On the flip side, though, Youka had been so patient as to let Artemisia finish her thoughts first, before outright refusing to say anything. Hiro expected that this would be the case, as the Violent Loli wasn't necessarily a talkative person to begin with. Hiro sighed a bit at this, but didn't pay it much mind. She didn't really have to explain what she was doing today, and he sure as hell wasn't going to force her. Hiro began to think about a few things, turning his attention in front of him. He thought about what he should actually do for now, and quite frankly, walking around town didn't seem like that bad of an idea. Just doing things as randomly as possible, being impulsive for once, seemed like a good idea to him. But, he still wanted to think about it for a bit, before he made a decision. "Well, I don't mind giving it a shot," Hiro answered to Artemisia eventually. "But I'd like it if you had a bit of time to try it out for yourself before I give it a go." He turned to her and gave a wry smile. He didn't want to make her think she was a bad chef, but he didn't want to try something and have it end up as bad. He liked trying new food, though he hoped that the food would be good before he tried it. Good in practice, not just in theory. He then turned his attention towards Youka. "You must be kinda bored, if you wanted to play a prank on me." Hiro chuckled a bit. He knew how much Youka disliked him, and how she'd probably not prefer to see him much at all. Looking ahead of himself once again, before remembering that Artemisia said that she wanted to get some shopping done. He got a bit of a good idea from there, and decided to think of it for just a moment longer. With that moment having passed, Hiro stood up and faced the Sorceress and the Assassin. "Well, I don't really have much to do today, so how about I offer to help you two out with your things?" He looked to Youka again, continuing. "Even if you haven't mentioned what it is you wanted to do." Shifting his gaze back to Artemisia, he put his hands on his hips proudly. "I'm sure I can probably, at least, help out with what you need to pick up for the day, just so I make sure that my day isn't wasted. That sound okay to you two?" Hiro offered up the idea to the two of them to pick up, if they wanted his help. Not to be sexist, but having a man around to do a lot of the heavy lifting would make their lives a bit easier. Not to mention, having a level 90 Monk on the job meant that one would have the highest Strength stat in the game available to them, should they actually need something lifted. Even if they shot down his offer, he at least felt like it'd have been nice to throw that up as a possibility. Though, he did have to wonder a bit about what Youka had to do today, and if she asked for his help, what kind of thing that would be. Hopefully nothing like trying to kill a few people or something like that, since she didn't seem to be the vengeful type to want to kill people. He still had to wonder, but he left that alone for the time being. He just waited for the two to respond, hoping they'd consider the offer. This other girl, who she had yet to be introduced to, seemed to be perpetually grumpy as she stood a few feet away from them, glaring and generally looking displeased. Artemisia arched an eyebrow when she found herself the receiver of one of those glares. Just who was this girl that she thought she would get away with glaring at her for no reason? One little fireball would be all it would take to light her ridiculous hair on fire... She smirked as she considered it but Hiro's voice caught her attention. She shifted her gaze back to the Monk, who was giving her some sort of grin, and the girl was immediately gone from her mind. The tip of her nose wrinkled as he sort-of politely declined her offer. Well, she'd hold him to it – once she had practiced it more, he would be the first to taste whatever it was she created. Still leaning over the back of the bench, Artemisia listened as Hiro again addressed the girl. So he was taking her actions as a prank. That was an odd way to go about a prank but she wasn't exactly experienced in the concept so what did she know. After a moment, her guild leader stood and turned to face them, placing his hands on his hips. Artemisia lifted her head to look at him as she listened and then pushed herself off the back of the bench, rocking back onto her heels and stretching her arms to either side. He was offering to assist the two of them in whatever they needed done for the day. Such a gentleman. Artemisia glanced up at the sky, locking her hands behind her back and took a few large, deliberate steps in Hiro's direction. “ Hmm...” She said loudly in a sing-song tone as she approached, the corners of her lips tugging into a hint of a smile. She continued to look everywhere but at him, acting as if she was in deep thought. Taking one more step, she stopped just beside him, if not slightly behind him with their shoulders barely brushing against each other, and leaned back to look up at him. She was quite shorter than he was, so it was an easy task. “ Oh, I think I can make use of you,” She winked at him once and swished her long blonde fox tail before straightening up and looking at the two. “ But before that...” She turned her green eyes back to the third person, the girl. She took a deep breath and puffed out of her chest slightly, as if she were about to let loose a barrage of words onto the girl. “ My name is Artemisia,” She extended her hand, which she expected to be ignored and smiled at her. “ You seem to be familiar with Hiro here and any friend of my guild leaders is welcome to be a friend of mine.” She didn't quite mean her words, she was definitely weary of this small person. She didn't exactly take well to being glared at by complete strangers. But, for the sake of peace she would withhold from teaching her a lesson on respect. For now. " Might you be willing to share your name, so that we can move past strangers?” She wasn't sure if Hiro would be able to see through her shallow words but it was worth the shot. --- Notes: As always, let me know if there's any issues. Youka looked back at Artemisia and glared profusely at her. " I don't want to tell you my name. You're faking your nicety and clearly just want to get along with me in hopes of.. well I don't even know but you're really not friendly." She paused before continuing. " If you want to know my name or anything about me ask your monk friend over there." Youka pointed at Hiro. " He'll probably tell you all that you want to know. I don't really care though."
Youka crossed her arms and flitted her eyes back and forth between Hiro and Artemisia. She didn't really know Artemisia at all or anything about her at all except that she looked kind of like Youka herself and was also a fox tail. Youka didn't really care to know more. There would be no reason to know her after all seeing as how Youka had met her by chance and would likely never see her again unless Youka decided to befriend Hiro. Which was even more unlikely than Youka forgiving Charles for what he did all those years ago. Youka laughed a little on the inside. It didn't show in her expression at all. Not even a bit. Youka glanced at Hiro and snorted at him. " And you! Grow some balls! Stop helping everyone you're your own person you know. I-it's not like I care or anything...B-baka!" She turns away with the typical tsundere blush. " A-a-anyway stop helping people. You won't gain anything," she said. Word count: 250+918=1,168 Tags: @sugarygiggles Hirosame

[attr="class","capsol"] After having extended his invitation, Hiro wasn't quite sure how the two would've reacted to the proposition. However, it seemed that Artemisia was more than willing to 'make use of him' or something like that. She had walked up right next to him, leaning her head back up to look at him. He raised an eyebrow to the Fox-Tail, wondering what her plan was. But, this thought was taken away from his mind when she began to act friendly towards Youka, which he assumed wouldn't go well at all. Being so polite to even introduce herself first and attempt to be nice to the girl was quite admirable, even though Hiro could kind of tell that she wasn't exactly thrilled to see this other girl. He knew that she wasn't the type of person to take so kindly to being glared at, but Artemisia was still trying to be nice. But, of course, such a thing didn't go over quite so well with the Violent Loli, as she immediately attacked the Fox-Tail. Letting out a slight sigh, he couldn't really say that he saw that one coming for miles, but he absolutely saw that reaction coming, whether Artemisia did or not.
Her attention very quickly shifted over to him, though, as she began to insult him about not having a pair, followed shortly after a classic Tsundere line. He chuckled a bit to himself, as she turned away, a light blush flashing across her face. She finished her thought with another line about not helping others. He leaned to one side, placing his hand on his hip, and tilting his head up slightly. "I can't help it. I just like helping people." He could tell that this whole thing wasn't going to get anywhere, since Artemisia would be much more likely to just walk away at this point, after having been so violently retaliated against. He needed to do something to quell the situation, yet bring the both of them along. It was about at this moment that he decided to do something slightly more drastic. Returning to a more neutral stance, he put his arms up in a shrugging fashion, turned his head down, and closed his eyes. "Then again, I suppose you're right." He looked back up, a grin on his face. "I suppose I'll just have to help myself, then." Standing back up straight, he walked over to Artemisia, and wrapped one arm around her shoulders.
"Well, I suppose it'll just be the two of us, then?" He asked, in a rather suggestive tone to Artemisia. "I'm sure you probably want to do whatever shopping you wanted to do, but I suppose you'll just have to wait for a bit." He leaned down a bit closer to her head, as the height difference between them was still rather obvious. "I'm feeling a bit selfish right now, so I'll be taking you with me for a bit." His gaze shifted back over to Youka just nearby, the grin still on his face. "And, well, I guess I'll just have to bring you along, as well." He stood back up straight again, shrugging once more. "I suppose having a pair would mean making others help me out instead, so I'll just bring you along by force." Practically dragging Artemisia along with him, Hiro grabbed onto Youka's arm, and started to pull her along. "Things will be great! We'll have loads of fun!" Forcing the two of them to walk along with him, he kept a stupid smile all over his face. Once he brought the two of them out of the plaza, his expression changed to a much more serious one. A face that he'd likely never used before, except when situations were very dire. He started to look at the other two, his eyes very grim.
"Alright, I lied." He said, in a quiet tone. "I'm not here just to have a normal-ass day. I'm here on a mission." His expression didn't change, and he motioned his head towards the plaza behind them once more. "You two didn't notice, but we were all being looked at. You two being in the plaza was a horrible fit of timing. I'm on a mission to scope out a rather suspicious group of people, but with you two on the scene now, and me having to make myself known, I have to get out of there, but make sure that they don't suspect anything. With you two there, though, they're more likely to follow and try to find you two now, as a means of getting to me. I can't let that happen." He took a bit of a pause, to let his words sink in. "For now, I want you two to take me around on the things you need to do, and I'll find a place where we can slip away from their eyes as a result." He tightened his grip on Youka's arm more, turning to face her with a deathly glare. "They. Will. Kill. You. If they find you without me." Hopefully, these words would sink in enough for her. He faced ahead again, speaking to Artemisia. "So, lead us to whatever store you were going to, please." His voice was very deep and dark, filled with the gravity of the situation. Hopefully enough, though, the two would go along with him, despite every bit of what he just said being a lie.

Her gesture, shallow as it were, was met with yet another glare. Artemisia held the smile on her face, although it was beginning to look a bit plastic, and gritted her teeth as she listened to the tiny, rude being speak. The white haired child, because regardless of her actual age, she was a child to her, spouted off a bit more nonsense about not wishing to share her name and accused Artemisia of being fake. After she was done huffing and puffing, she snapped that if she wanted to know about her, to ask “her monk friend” - she assumed this meant Hiro. The blonde slowly, casually, retracted her hand, seeing as she was obviously not going to receive a handshake in return. She couldn't understand why this girl was trying so hard to act indifferent. She clearly cared immensely, despite her words. Once she was finishing berating the Sorcerer she barely knew, she turned her attention to the only man present and gave him a nasty line about his masculinity. Having heard quite enough from her mouth, Artemisia began to channel the mana necessary to teach her a lesson in respect. She would simply not stand there and allow this tiny brat to speak to not only her, but Hiro, that way. Her guild leader was saying something but quite honestly, she wasn't listening to him. She was just about to raise her arm up to open her inventory and retrieve her staff when she felt something. Something warm, soft and comforting. She immediately snapped her attention to her shoulder and saw fingers. Slowly, she turned her face to see that the arm was attached to Hiro and he was standing quite close to her, unquestionably holding her against his side. The wheels in her mind spun slowly, leading her to only one conclusion – to blush horribly. As Hiro spoke, giving her a suggestive line of spending time just the two of them, Artemisia's cheeks heated and brightened. He continued to speak, going on about shopping and whatnot while leaning down a little closer to her. Her lips parted slightly, as if she were going to speak, but somehow she couldn't find her voice. Something close to a squeak, vaguely resembling his name, may have been the only thing she managed. Her face only turned more red. Hiro took a step towards Youka, keeping his arm tightly around Artemisia, and forced her to walk with him. She stumbled slightly, barely noticeably, before walking in step beside him. He grabbed Youka's forearm, being a bit more rough with her and dragged her along. The blonde walked along with Hiro, Youka trailing behind, with her face still faintly pink. Every so often their sides would brush against each other and her face would glow anew. She could handle being the flirt, that didn't bother her, but when she was on the receiving end of such gestures, or general closeness, she just didn't know what to do with herself. Suddenly, she would become a blushing blob of uh's and um's. They didn't walk far, just out of the general area, before Hiro slowed his pace slightly and looked at the two girls he was escorting along. His arm never left her shoulder, though, which she noticed but wasn't sure if he simply forgot or was leaving it there on purpose. He spoke, in a hushed tone and admitted to lying about why he had lead them away from that area. Supposedly he was here for a reason and they just happened to drop in at the exact worst moment. She listened to his entire story, letting herself be distracted from feeling his body heat near her for a moment, which allowed her cheeks to finally cool. The more he continued his story, the sharper the arch in Artemisia's eyebrow grew. There was no way this story made any sort of sense. When she found him he was sound asleep under that tree, dozing his day away in hopefully blissful dreams. If he had been on any sort of mission, he definitely was failing terribly at it. Why would he bother to go to such great lengths to make up such a ridiculous, obviously fake story? Artemisia looked at his face, turning her eyes to the side and slightly up, as she wondered this. What did he have to gain...? Had he noticed she was going to set the annoying one on fire? Was he trying to quell the situation or was he really that bored? In all the time she had known him, he had never acted quite like that. She had also never seen that look on his face before. There was something oddly attractive about the serious look, but that was a thought for another day. Well, for now, she would humor him. It was kind of fun in it's own way, anyhow. “ That explains that odd feeling I was getting then...” She whispered back, her tone a little teasing in nature with her lips not far from his ear as she spoke quietly to only him. She didn't much care if Youka, although she still didn't know her name, heard her words. “ Sounds dangerous, we'll definitely need to keep out of sight,” It was a bit hard not to burst out laughing after she had heard his obvious lie but she managed to restrain herself. She put her hand over top his, which was still on her shoulder, to keep it from falling off when she suddenly turned and lead them in the direction of a set of stores. Her current destination was that of a clothing store, lined with outfits primarily focused at women. They passed through the double doors and were greeted by the shop owner, most likely a Person of the Land. Artemisia glanced around the store, looking for something specific. Once she saw what she was looking for, she spoke up. “ Since fall is coming up, I bet the swim suits are on sale.” She turned her mischievous look to Hiro again, “ Perhaps I can get a mans opinion on what looks good on me?” She swished her fox tail, something she tended to do when she was being flirty. She pulled away from him, his hand slipping off her shoulder (which was a bit disappointing) while she was still grasping it, allowing her to drag him behind her towards the section in question. She assumed the other girl was still somewhere behind him but until she was forced to acknowledge her, it was just her and her guild leader. The section was small, as more weather appropriate clothing was beginning to appear and take up the shelf space. Even still, a selection of brightly colored swimming suits remained on the rack in varying sizes. She fingered through them for a moment. “ What do you think, Hiro... should I go for one piece or two?” She spun around to look at him, her head tilting just slightly to the side as if she were deeply pondering the question. -- Notes: I'm going to have a busy week coming up, until probably about the 3rd of October, so I wanted to get this out. It's a bit rushed so if it doesn't make sense in any places, let me know. Words: 1173 Tags: Hirosame, Youka
